We had a family dinner in December and loved all the decorations that were labeled Merry Christmas.

Our server was Jaiah. She was amazing, attentive, polite, great to deal with. Thumbs up to her. Food was good. Been here a few times. Never any issues.

JY was unreal. I asked for a tv to be changed to the hockey game, and he changed 3! Good food and unreal atmosphere!

Had the best server ever!! Justin was the best at putting a smile on everyone s face and such a great vibe! And shout out to the bartender TOM!!!!

We visited near Christmas time and the decorations are very impressive! Definitely worth the visit, feels like you re eating in Santa s house. Jaiah was our server and it happened to be my birthday and she made sure there was a nice dessert brought out to us. Will definitely be coming back:)

As it is December, Jack Astor s is decked out for Christmas. So cozy and welcoming, very family friendly! Our server Sarah was excellent, very fast, knowledgeable, accommodated food allergies very well, and was so kind, friendly, and personable. Excellent meal, fast service, and we will certainly be back! Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating to my dairy and gluten allergies! No issues!

Winter is the best!

The inside of this place is tired and cramped. Tables in the middle are constantly being bumped into. Jackets knocked on the floor are left there. Food was mediocre at best. Not even close to the higher quality food and atmosphere on Hunt Club. Won t be returning to this location.

Absolutely terrible service at this location. We had reservations for 5pm. When we arrive they tell us it will be a 5-10 min wait that s okay no problem. They then stick us over to the side, then 25 mins later we notice they let 4 groups of people that just got there in. We finally had to go over and ask what was going on. Once they figured out what happened they then said they forgot about us. That is not okay. Once we get to the table, the server started serving other tables of people that came in after us. By this point it s 5:28 when she finally comes to our table. They tell us it s busier than normal sorry about that. No kidding it s busier there s a show at the CTC tonight. We booked the tickets back in February so don t tell me you didn t have time to prepare for this event. All in all I would not recommend.

November 23rd, Saturday night, had the greatest time and definitely owe it all to Tom and Izzy (I believe that was their names) brought lots of energy into their service and made the night very enjoyable. They were also very kind enough to let me wait inside while waiting for my Uber near closing.

Food was decent, what we ordered tasted good though some other items seemed overpriced. Service was mediocre at best. Atmosphere was great. Lots of lights and fun TVs with trivia. Loved that. Would be good for a fun night of trivia, otherwise... eh, wouldnt be my first choice but still better than Kelseys.

We went in November 25, 2024 as a quick bite before the hockey game! The place was fully decked out and festive which was awesome to see! Our server Jaiah was very sweet and lovely, she is newer and admittedly got a bit overwhelmed with how busy the restaurant became, but was very apologetic and still did an amazing job! The manager also came over and apologized which we appreciate and were surprised by! Overall a great experience and a lovely group of people working! We will be back!

Family of 6 went to dinner before a concert. We walked into such a festive and cheerful environment; being a Christmas family, we loved the decorations and the atmosphere it created! Though very busy, the service was good and relatively quick, staff friendly and helpful. I did find the food tasted as though it had been sitting for a while. Recommend and will go back!

My waitress, Celia, was absolutely phenomenal! She was polite, friendly, and always had a big smile on her face. You could tell she genuinely loved her job, and it showed in the way she took care of me. I highly recommend Jack Astors to anyone looking for a great dining experience. This is the worst restaurant I have ever consistently dealt with in my whole life. I order from here one to two times a week through their mine or my o and we go here 2 to 3 times a month. that all ends today. It s been kind of a running joke in our family for about a year that no matter what you do if you order a kids meal chicken fingers you will not get the dessert nor will you get the drink that you paid for at first it was kind of funny and we chalked it up to honest mistakes, but after it happening 17 times in a row, calling and talking to several managers, bringing up to the manager on duty and several servers when we were at the restaurant, bring it up with uber eats and leaving several reviews as well as emails to corporate they continue to steal the dessert and the drink from every chicken figure your kids meal that they sell through delivery. This is a disgusting and deplorable corporate strategy when it s brought up they simply give you a $1.85 refund try to explain to a five-year-old girl on Friday night when she s been waiting all day for her chicken fingers and cookie that she doesn t get dessert or a drink with her mealyou guys should be ashamed of yourselves

Ive been coming here for the last two weeks and all three times Thomas has been my bartender! He is fun, quick, very aware and reads his customers well! All it takes for his is one hour of meeting his customs for him to be able to read them! He seems to know when they are satisfied or not and he is not afraid and more than willing to accommodate them! The food here is good depending on your interested so of the service is good but I strongly recommend sitting in his area! Made my experience much better!

I had an excellent experience at this restaurant, delicious food, impeccable service and a pleasant atmosphere.

Appetizer came out just before entrees (server informed us entrees were ready when delivering app). Ask if we wanted them held, we said no (steak and salmon). Entrees arrived and steak was severely over cooked (almost as if it was held under warmer for several minutes already as we think app order was missed). All that, and we had no napkins or utensils until asking for them after entrees were delivered. Food was good, service was not.

I just had a sit down meal at Kanata Jack Astor s with my family and was served by this wonder waiter named Justin. He was super friendly, big smile on his face and he greeted us with pleasure. The kids took some time to decide what they wanted and he didn t hesitate to let us decide what we wanted and come back in a reasonable time. Justin got our orders perfectly made and made sure to come back in ample time to make sure our drinks were topped up. My family and I had our meals delivered to perfection. Justin went out of his way to go grab my son an extra dipping sauce for his chicken nuggets. All in all I was super pleased with my time inside Jack Astors and having Justin serving us. Thanks again. Would recommend to anyone visiting Kanata for a bite to eat.

I m a regular customer at Jack Astor s, ordering from Uber Eats often and visiting the restaurant almost every week. But my experience tonight was really disappointing and makes me think about stopping my orders and visits to this place. 1. The server didn t check on us at all, not even at the beginning or end of our meal, to ask if the food was okay. 2. When I tried to ask the server for something, she ignored us completely. I asked another server to call her, and it still took 20 minutes for her to come over. I could see from a distance that she wasn t busy, and I even tried to signal her, but she still ignored us. As someone who eats out often, I know what good service should look like, and this experience was very disappointing. Usually, the service at Jack Astor s is good, but this time it was really bad. In short, the server completely ignored us, which was especially disappointing as a regular customer.

My friends and I have been long time patrons at the bar and have gotten to know Justin S very well. He has been amazing with us over the years abd especially every December when we have a get together for friend that passed away. We ask to be in his section and he always treats us like gold. Tha is for the many great memories! Also best wings in town.

Its the Holy Smoke burger with sweet potato fries pretty much any time I eat at Jacks. It hits every time. I mostly come for the awesome bar vibes. Ive received great service namely from Justin behind the bar. Hes just what most would want from a bartender. Very attentive, approachable and witty in keeping a conversation going in order to make you feel comfortable even if you are there alone. You wont be sitting with an empty glass or plate if he has you under his care which is just how I like it when Im yelling at my leafs on game nights. Thanks Justin!

I have been going to this Jack s for years and was there recently with a couple girlfriends celebrating a birthday. We had the best night! Our server Justin S. was so fun and friendly - he really made our night! Never in my life have I had such great service, he was on top of everything and a big reason why we will continue to go back. Changed the tv to the game we were hoping to watch, helped decide for food and how to order it well, kept up good service without being too intrusive. All around fun guy and definitely makes it more comfortable to sit and eat when Justin is around

I sat at the bar and had a great bar tender, Justin. He was friendly and delivered great drinks and service. He took great care of myself and my friends. The food was great too. It s a favourite hang out whenever we come into town!

Ordered dinner and dessert on Uber eats and they didnt send the dessert or message to say they didnt have have it if they didnt. My girlfriends dinner was fine but I got the same thing with half the amount of noodles. 1st and last time Ill be eating here.

Amazing service by all staff from the friendly greeting at the door to the bartender, the servers and the assistant general manager. The food was perfect. Even though it was super busy, the assistant manager Tegan & TWO servers, Angie and Madi, checked on us frequently to make sure we were getting what we needed. We really appreciated the smiles and light banter. We had fish tacos, chicken tacos & french fries. We all had desserts. They were incredibly huge, so Id recommend sharing if you dont have a lot of room when youre done your meal. Everything was spot on. It was expectedly busy on a saturday afternoon but we were so well taken care of by lots of staff, not just the ones previously mentioned. Id recommend this place to anyone and we are definitely going back to try More items from the menu & enjoy the service and atmosphere. Again a big thank you to Tegan, Angie and Madi and all the staff who took care of us. We Look forward to seeing you all again soon! 5 stars on everything!! Parking: Lots of parking spots even on a busy day. Kid-friendliness: Theres families and children there. But the background music makes it so that you dont really hear other tables.

My husband and I visited Jacks last week and had the pleasure of sitting in the bar area. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was welcoming and lively. Our server, Justin, was exceptional he was not only attentive but also very personable and outgoing. He made our experience even more enjoyable by offering great recommendations and ensuring that we had everything we needed.

Visited Jacks recently and was served by a really personable and helpful bartender, Justin. Noticed he was not just serving us and the bar was also making drinks for the rest of restaurant via the other servers. And despite all of that, he made time to chat with us, and relate to us - mostly golf related talk. Drinks came out great, food came out quick, cleaned up after us quick, and provided our bill when needed. All in all, really good experience. Hes also really really ridiculously good looking.

Ive been to Jacks Kanata on a number of occasions. Any time we see Justin behind the bar we make a point of sitting there. His knowledge of the menu and drink options is impressive. He takes the time to make recommendations based on our mood that day, and always checks in to make sure we are enjoying ourselves. Justin has a knack for making everyone feel welcome... it is easy to tell that he loves what he does. If you are visiting the Kanata location, make sure you ask for Justin, you will not be disappointed.

Sorry, it took so long, Tegan and Angie . I meant to write this review weeks ago, but life got busy(you know how it is), and honestly, I feel like a grade A-A$$hole because the experience was that good, and its now Christmas time. It s Halloween, my friend and I roll into this place, and somehow we get the kind of service you d expect at a Michelin-starred restaurant not just any restaurant, mind you, but one run by angels disguised as Tegan and Angie. Let me tell you, Tegan and Angie weren t just great. They were legendary. We had a first-world-problem-level situation (you know, the kind), and their response was so quick, seamless, and perfect that it was like watching a symphony of customer service. I won t give away the specifics because I don t want to help the shady characters, but let s say their solution was above and beyond. Like, I m still thinking about it weeks later. Here s the thing: Tegan and Angie deserve gold stars. No, not just on the wall I m talking big, shiny gold stars with their names in italic cursive, framed with neon lights so everyone knows who the heroes are. Their kindness, professionalism, and sheer humanness deserve to be celebrated. Sure, the food was great, but these two are the real reason I ll be coming back. So, to the management, please give Tegan and Angie a raise, a crown, or maybe a parade because they ve earned it. If you re wondering whether to eat here, the answer is YES, not just for the food but also for the chance to meet Tegan and Angie. They re the kind of people who make you believe in humanity again. 10/10. Recommend, and I would wake up early to leave this review again because it s that good. P.S. TIP YOUR SERVERS. They re out here dodging Karen at table 6, refilling your light ice water 14 times, and pretending your dad s bad jokes are hilarious. They re superheroes, and superheroes deserve more than pocket change. Leave a tip that says, I m sorry for existing and thank you for not throwing my plate at me. Delicious food, friendly service, good atmosphere, overall great restaurant experience. I ve been coming to this place since I was little and have always loved it.

I wish there were more options for vegetarian dishes but overall the food was good. The Spinach could have been fresher but Spinach is a fickle bae.
