We ordered fries, but they were poorly cooked and overly oily. The taste was unpleasant, and we couldn’t eat them.
We are blessed to have Glenn and his family around us ! They have been there for as long as I remember the food is always perfect!
It’s a sweeter potato but I like it that way! We go poutines and hotdog and I will be back, it’s tasty, gravy is nice thick and brown and tasteful and the cheese is the squeaky salty :) I recommend!
Glen’s poutine is a classic in Kanata. Hits the spot when the cravings there. Unfortunately their customer service could use a revamp. I asked the lady “Hi how are you today?” Her reply to me? “It’s cash only”. I’m not asking for a 5 star restaurant service here but basic standard customer service would be nice. I can read your sign that states it’s cash only. I will second another reviewers comment that the service isn’t ideal for newcomers. (I grew up in Kanata and have been here a handful of times and still get this kind of service). It’s a bit overpriced for their portion sizes compared to other chip trucks in Kanata but still worth a visit if you’re looking for a poutine.
This is one of our favorite food trucks! Super good service, delicious treaty food and always room at the picnic tables 💛 the fries and gravy are delicious. I appreciate their kid friendly Pogos and burgers that are a decent size, but not overwhelming. A med fry was perfect for thee adults to share. Good location with lots of free parking.
Very fair prices with mediocre quality burgers and pretty good poutine 🍟🍔.I went due to high rating but was surprisingly disappointed. Poutine (3.6/5) - fries had good flavor but were slightly overcooked, curds were good but the gravy could have had much better flavor. Burger (3.1/5) - burger bun was the best part; the burger patty was of questionable quality and seemed like it had more fat/filler than meat.
This was my first time here, my son actually insisted we came. I only had a hotdog, but man, it was amazing! Honestly, if you can get my son to brag about a place, it's GOTTA be good, he is the pickiest water I've ever met lol Anyways....staff was amazing. Food was amazing. And they do the condiments for you, so you're not touching them after 100 other people. I even saw a staff member take it upon herself to help an elderly lady with her cart full of flowers. Wonderful! Thanks to ALL the staff, we will definitely be back again!
Honestly, the best chips (fries) I've ever had and I'm not talking about just chip trucks in general, I mean anywhere. Stop by if you're in the area! They also have great sausages. Definitely recommended.

A wee pricey, but the absolute best poutine in town . Great people and I imagine Canadian Tire takes a cut, so that s why this location is more expensive - but they do it RIGHT !!

1) We went in early May and found the oil different, we found the chips dry and hard, not as good as last summer. We do love this place ordinarily. Will try again. 2) Well we did try again on May 25/24. They fixed the issue ...fries were delicious and oil is back on track! Nice comeback. Food

I have always loved and promoted this place. I went today after their reopening for the season. Potatoes were terrible with black spots and cooked differently - the inside used to be nice and creamy. Chips are smaller and dry. I am celiac and have never had a problem there. Today I got home and had a celiac attack. SO disappointed.

Our favourite chip truck but just got home with 3 orders and found our side gravy was all over the bag and none of it was usable. 3.00 for a side gravy and they couldn t put it in a secure container? Very disappointed when 3 orders of fries and a side gravy cost more than $23.00. We ll have to see if there is an apology and a credit given.

Foods a bit pricey, small poutine is 8.75 and very small for the price, fries were not packed down so there qas space in the container a bit more then it would be closer to fair. Gravy could have a bit more flavor but tasted fine, fries slightly undercooked.Pogos great, crispy and cooked well service was fantastic! Chip truck competition is fierce these days!

Terrific chip truck.. the food is fabulous and the service is the best. Weve been in Alberta for 5 years and it was hard to find a decent place for fries,pogos,and poutine. This place rocks. Good to be home.
Overpriced for their portion sizes and the service isn t ideal for newcomers. Poutine tasted alright though but I d still rather drive an extra 10-15mins for larger portions at 80% the price.
This is an unassuming little spot in Ottawa that deserves a much grander experience. Amazing food for great prices. Back to the good ol days when you could buy yourself lunch for under 20$ Keep in mind this is a CASH ONLY establishment. So bring more than plastic. Then again bills are plastic now... Poutine, Pogo, Burgers, Bratwurst and Polish Sausage. They have something for everyone. If youre not into meat the fries alone are worth the visit. A small is listed for $4 but the portion is equal to a large. Their large fries require friends to finish.

Havent had a Glens chips or poutine in AGES! It did NOT disappoint!! Yummy!! Wheelchair accessibility: I had my daughter in a wheelchair with me. I would say its easy enough to patronize this truck with a disabled person. Food : 5/5 |

So for a chip truck this was done perfectly just right amount of gravy and cheese you couldnt get better pouting in any truck this was my first time hear but they do it perfect
I Googled Chip trucks and this one looked like a good spot to go. After pulling into Canadian tire parking ( loads of parking) I seen there was about 20 people in line. This Food truck is a definite a spot to stop if you want vary friendly staff, super fast service and delicious food. 20 people in front of us and less then 10 min wait.
Great chip wagon in the Canadian Tire parking lot. Decent prices and selection. The fries have a nice texture and doneness to them, unlike some other wagons that try to rush things. Not these guys though. Their poutine has a great gravy, and a fair amount of curds to top it off with. Be warned though, it is cash only, so bring some bills!

Good fries. This was my birthday lunch from a friend. I enjoyed it more than a restaurant meal. I once worked close to Glens Chip Wagon and their fries would be a lunchtime treat sometimes.
One of the worst chip trucks in the city. Soggy fries and overpriced for the size you get . Large poutine I wouldnt recommend.

Good poutine! Would prefer wider cup for the size ordered but they layered the cheese and gravy in so it was a good experience all the way to the bottom.
A great staple kanata food truck. This place is a great visit any time youre in the area or feeling a good hot dog and poutine combo. I also enjoy their salt and vinegar fries which are delicious and crispy. Always friendly service too.

I absolutely loved the food I was very impressed with the burger and poutine probably my favorite in Ottawa, as for the price you get what you pay for so I was happy to spend the money. The staff were very friendly and there was no wait for the food even though theyre super busy. The only thing I wanted to mention was they use Styrofoam please consider an environmental friendlier option.
There s one skinny male employee that has been super rude to me the last two times I ve been here. It s a shame because I usually love this chip truck and the female employees are always nice. I won t be returning when that guy is working though. He s impatient and rude with customers. Today he started swearing loudly at another customer in broad daylight. Very unprofessional.

Best poutine in the area
I have been going,to Glens for about seven years. Today went for lunch,was disappointed first time. Fries were sticky not sure why. My burger did, not have the usual amount of toppings. I will definitely go back. Parking: Not many spots available.
Glens has consistently great fries. They are crispy and the staff understand malt and salt - they dont mind getting salt and vinegar half-way through loading up the large serving so you have flavour throughout. I does get busy sometimes, but we found it worth the wait.

As a *ahem* slightly overweight contractor, trust me when I say I know chip wagons. Glens is definitely one of my favorites in the city. Their cheeeseburgers are my personal favorite on the menu, and Im usually a hotdog guy! The burgers are big and super juicy, and the cheese is sharp and sliced fairly thick. The buns and toppings have always been fresh, no wilted veggies or crusty buns. Prices are pretty standard. As is the case with most chip wagons its in a parking lot, so dont expect an ocean view. Eat the burgers, revel in their deliciousness, thank me later!

First of all, this place is cash only--nothing to do with my rating, but its a tiny spot on their sign so just know that. The people were lovely, prices not bad, food was up quickly, and it wasnt bad, but they either use a weird oil or maybe its something about the packaging (whats with all the Styrofoam, Ottawa?!), but there was an off-putting smell to the fries I couldnt get past. The bratwurst was ok, but I also ate it cold so, who know, maybe it was amazing hot. To be fair, I grew up eating from chip wagons and have very fond memories, so it may be the nostalgia talking, but this one wasnt great.
Its generally busy for a reason <3 Its entertaining to count all the people just sitting in their vehicles around here. Why? Theyre all eating lunch from Glens.
