This place hits every time! We order it for lunch at work maybe once every other month and it s always delicious.

One of the worst experience in recent memory. This petty excuse for a business has the worst customer service you can get. They running a little scam if you using Uber Eats. Greek on wheels will conveniently forget to add some of your items. If you contact Uber to report the issue they will tell you to contact the Greek on wheels and Greek on wheels will tell you to contact Uber. Employees and the manager at this location are disgruntled that Uber Eats takes a percentage % on their orders. Greek on wheels is too greedy to not partner with Uber so they went on the scamming route. If you don t want your money to be stolen, I STRONGLY recommend to stay away from this location.

Uber driver here, literally 20 minute wait for 2 small orders. I was initially told a few minute wait. Literally one of the slowest service restaurants in the west end. I will remove this review when I see chairs in the waiting area next time.

Excellent food at Hazeldean location and always consistent. Love the souvlaki platter for 4 special at $59.00. Great deal and plenty of food. I hope they make it a regular item. Service is fast and excellent. Same with delivery. They accidently forgot our drinks (which happens to all different types of takeout & delivery restaurants) but once they were notified they had them delivered immediately. Its takeout only so not much decor Atmosphere but the vibe is great. Staff are polite and friendly.

Worst experience ever! Not sure if its the location or what but last night I ordered spanakopita which was basically pasty puff only, no filling inside! Then I ordered gyro wraps which showed up with basically no tzatiki on it and no onions. Terrible experience, will not order from here again. Waste of money!

Grab and go Greek. Solid food very tasty and consistent Greek food. We will definitely go back. The guy working here was very nice and helpful. Only rating 3/5 on atmosphere because they don t do dine in. You just walk in, stand around and order and wait until your food is ready. In this area it s better than some of the other options like burgers and cheap subs. Try them!

Ive been going to Greek on Wheels for a long time, but like a lot of places lately, the price has risen too high and the amount of food you get, compared to the size you used to get, has greatly diminished. Considering rice hasnt gotten that much more expensive, Im surprised that theyve seen fit to reduce how much they put in there platters. DO BETTER! I would like to enjoy your food for years to come and not feel so cheated :( Vegetarian options: The Greek salad is usually quite good, and if youre a vegetarian, there are some decent choices

Over priced for what you get in my opinion. Spent $24 on a chicken platter, with rice and potatoes. The platter was 1 chicken kebab with maybe 7-8 pieces of chicken on it, maybe a quarter of a breast worth, and then 6 pieces of potatoes. The rest was filled with rice. So pretty much spent $24 on a bowl of rice. It was good food, but the serving sizes could definitely be adjusted. Adding more chicken and potatoes so it isn t 90% rice would be nice.

I first off would like to say how wonderful their customer service was, and their quality of food was amazing. Not only was it delicious, but they had fresh ingredients and generous portions. We had a catering order for almost 450 guests with all different dietary restrictions. They accommodated all these restrictions by altering their recipes to meet the restrictions that some staff had. We were able to all enjoy the same, if not similar food as everyone else in the guest list without sacrificing quality or flavor. Everyone loved the variety and how everyone was able to choose what they wanted to eat, and everything was excellent. They were so diligent to make sure they arrived on time with our order and we were impressed. The food was perfectly hot when it arrived and stayed hot while serving all our guests. If you re looking for a great place that can accommodate a small or large size event with great food, call these guys. Very happy and will order again in the new year! The best Greek food in the Ottawa area, hands down.

We had take out of Chicken souvlaki and there was 1 skewer of chicken which was a bit on the dry side, the rice was undercooked and the salad had way more lettuce than necessary and very little else. I will not be ordering from there again. I had tried this place a few months ago and decided to give them a second chance, but now Im done. 3 chicken souvlaki for $71! way too expensive for take out!

I m not sure if you all know but this place actually opens decently late Sun - Tues (Until 2am)! Which is amazing for those who get off work late. My husband and I were driving into the city looking for a place to eat and we so happened to come across the store still lit up and providing service. We had to investigate! The food is just as good in quality and in freshness, and the young man working the late hours is an absolute pleasure to deal with. The service is exceptional, it s quick, and it has become my go-to place to eat after my shift.

Myself and a few friends showed up late night because it was the only spot open in Kanata past midnight. We heard a thing or two about how good the food is, but once we had it in our hands we couldn t believe this small shop can put out so much good food for 5 people. Everything was fresh, hot, made to order - and the owner hooked us up with his after hours menu items after one of them wasn t available that late. Amazing service and even better food

This was great food, Overall would give it a 4 The store had a broken door and looked not the best when I went. I could definitely update this review if I return and it s repaired. The food was good, but a little bit expensive for the portion size. They could have given more Taziki sauce. I d come here again, loved the platter

I ordered online at 5:51pm. I received a confirmation email and it stated it would be here in 45mins. At 7:09 I sent an email asking where the food was. At 7:40 I called the store. They asked for the address. I gave them the address. His reply, oh, it just came in. I paid online. It would take a month to do put it back on my card. I told him to send the money over. Terrible first experience.

Shawarma plate was delish

I ordered dinner to our hotel for my daughter and I. The food they did send was really good but they missed an entire meal in the delivery. When I called the restaurant they immediately said it was a Skip the Dishes problem and there was nothing they could do, i would need to file a report with Skip. So basically, order at your own risk, the restaurant holds no accountability for their mistakes. Skip customer service made it possible for me to order a proper meal from somewhere else so I could actually eat. Would not recommend this restaurant.

Apparently shes fairly new and young, but he was told by his line cook that she had been rude on the phone. People...these are folks businesses you are potentially ruining by being inconsiderate and rude to customers. It may just be a min wage pay check to you, but this is someones livelihood. Including during the pandemic!!! Last night, was the first time it went sideways. Our order was forgotten about, after I placed the order online at 6:12pm (email confirmation). When the 50min delivery time had expired, plus 15-20 mins, I called. The girl was, at first, pleasant and realized she goofed. The order never got put through. So, she asked for my number, which I thought was verifying my order for that night. She said they were really busy and it was on the store for the error. I wasnt sure if that meant they would compensate for the meal, or what. I called back and she said no, were sending it now - as if that righted the wrong. About 20 mins later, my fiance told me he had our food. I was at my friends house for the evening and had placed the order with her exact address. I called again. The girl, now snarky, stated flat out that I had given them the wrong address. I said, check the actual order that I placed almost two hours ago now. The address is not in fact my home address as Im not at home this evening, but at my friends house. She put me on hold again and passed me along to some guy who insisted I gave them the wrong address. Very angry, clearly hangry, at this point, I said what are you guys going to do about this? You can reverse the charge on my credit card or give me a free meal for next time. He stated that I should go and get the order myself. WHAT? So Ive paid for delivery, driver tip and the service to get my food delivered to what was supposed to be a fun girlie eve and you cant rectify this? He then proceeded to state that they would lose money if they sent out another order. How is that my problem? Im sorry that youre busy, Im sorry youve been struggling through the evening with other issues, but this is not the way to handle it. Also, please remember, we could have just ordered elsewhere, but we wanted to give you OUR business last evening. We FINALLY received our order, over three hours later. The receipt, which I have kept, even shows that the order was punched in at 8:37pm. Our food arrived almost 25 mins later and was not fresh. Disappointing to say the least. I hope the owner can rectify this, otherwise we will take our business elsewhere. That would be two separate customers you will have lost, as my friend was also surprised at the lack of consideration and bullying that took place over the phone.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I always loved this restaurant but within the last two years the customer service has been brutally horrible. We ordered for my grandma s birthday dinner, and after bringing it home we noticed we got two meals that weren t what we had ordered. Upon bringing it back the young girl who was working the front counter was SO rude. Not only did she not apologize for the order being wrong, instead she insisted it was our fault for ordering the wrong meal, AND made me pay AGAIN for the meals we were replacing, but took pack the meals that were wrong ???? The entire time I was in there just trying to fix my order so I could return home to the birthday get together. I didn t want any sort of confrontation, but you could tell the girl was too stubborn to admit maybe there was miscommunication. I m so frustrated because I don t usually complain about these things but the way the staff made me isn t alright and they shouldn t get away with this. They made me feel like I was stupid and a burden the entire time I was there.

You could tell the food was not fresh. The potatoes were flavorless and the salad was nasty and browning. Even the rice was hard and old. Great service but thats about it.

Had a beef gyro here today and it was delicious! The man working at the cash was also very friendly and helpful, and the service was speedy! Prices are also reasonable. Highly recommend this establishment!

Greek on Wheels was a positive experience. I could order online for the site closest to home. No downloading of a Greek On Wheels app! The food was ready for pickup right as I arrived. To be honest, I was stuffed. I picked up the calamari and the feta/olive appetizer/salad. Yum. I will go back for a repeat order in the future.

Normally love this place but lately the quality has gone down hill. Ordered a chicken breast platter for $17.99. More than half of my salad was yellow and tasted like it was made days ago. The tomatoes were the same, old and mushy

Okay, first of all, the food is good. Just dont calculate the value youre getting, because the prices are not. After my last order (Souvlaki Platter) I really looked at what I got. A huge amount of rice, like a cup and a half worth. A good 60% of the meal, maybe more. Rice is cheap and that was maybe 25 cents worth. Add in a potato and a half (which, again, are quite good). That brings it up to a dollar maybe? So that means I paid $20 for one stick of chicken. Ummm.... no. Wont be ordering here any more.

Held a Christmas party for 20 people. We submitted our order several days ahead. They were very helpful in tweeking the order to resolve a few minor errors on our part. Our order was ready on time, the food was amazing and very reasonably priced. Well do it again for our next event.

I always get the same thing a Greek salad how ever I m HIGHLY CONFUSED on the new container? How do you expect someone to eat from that? It s truly not convenient I had to push all the condiments to the top lid just to get a giant leaf of lettuce.... make it make sense it s so packed ( not complaining) but I go there for lunch break and if your someone that has to eat in the car it s a complete mess I considered using the paper bag as a plate..... anyhow the boss looks real dedicated to cooking his food and is considerate with seasoning however, I m seeing a lot of bad comments about the sea food. It s simple we have seafood restaurants that are only dedicated to that specialty so think twice before you order seafood from a place that s mainly know for chicken, potatoes and salads it s common sense that one thing on the menu will be cooking in whatever oil is free #justsaying

Always so dang good!! The falafels are lovely and tender. Souvlaki platters are huge and varied. And the value boxes are great when you just want a smaller meal (though they still give you lots!) Highly recommend.

Always come to this location for the best Greek food in the city. Extremely well maintained and ran business with great prices, portions, and service. The gyros and wedges are a go to for me cause they are so good! Definitely recommend this place to anyone in Ottawa and particularly Kanata because its a great local spot. We have been ordering takeout every Friday night for months now from different restaurants to try different foods, and we ve had a lot of bad experiences, sometimes cold by the time you get home, or soggy. Pretty amazing location. Besides the obvious delicious food, their customer satisfaction is top notch. Personally having a lot of dietary restrictions, I really appreciate and am loyal to a restaurant that will accommodate my needs without the no substitution rules which a few places have. This location delivers on amazing food and customer service. Highly recommended.

Depends what youre into. My parents love the place and I think its one of the worst in my opinion. Potatoes are gross, the rice is gross but the skewers are good, but way to pricey for what you get. wraps are a hit or miss, the salad lacks the good stuff, too much lettuce.

I ordered the Greek Chicken salad and seriously it was one of the best take-out salads Ive ever had. Everything was fresh and crispy, the dressing was perfect (and in the perfect amount), and they even removed the hot peppers as I requested. Will be ordering this again for sure!

My first experience with this restaurant was good, Souvlaki and platters were absolutely delicious. But today I ordered the food via SkipTheDishes and was totally disappointed. The rice was spoiled and smelled bad. Both platters went to the waste bin. I got just 50% refund from the courier company. The restaurant didn t respond.

First time here, ordered calamari and shrimp platter.....portion is good. Calamari was super salty. Disappointed with the roasted potatoes. Two huge pieces of potatoes seems like baked....unlike the traditional greek style potatoes. Also note prices are more than whats on the menu. I.e calamari on the menu is 10.99 but you actually charged 12.99.

DO NOT ORDER VIA UBER EATS. All the menu items are $2-3 more plus a service fee makes this expensive option $16 more than if I ordered direct which I stupidly didn t think of because I was hungry. Also I love GOW for being fast and I m now waiting close to an hour. I am hangry and disappointed for falling into this dumb trap again. Such a disappointment.

Amazing Gyros

I ordered two salads through Doordash. The restaurant missed all my dressings. Doorsash guy agreed to pick up the sauce for me. But the lady on phone at the restaurant keep telling me we cant do anything about the dressing , we will give some kind of discount or something on your next order and when i kept requesting that doordash guy will be there just give the dressing, she disconnected the phone. I was like why so rude.

Do not order, theyll give you rotten lettuce, over charge you, forget your drink, and send the wrong order!!! Topped off with rude attitude/sassiness

I went to Greek on wheels for my order. I forgot my mask when enter that place. The boss ask me to wear my mask with very rude manner. I took my mask in my pocket and worn it. Than I realized that nobody did wear mask in the restaurant. Also they did not use gloves for the food preparation. When I said that restaurant staff should wear masks, the bald man said I am the boss, I do not need to wear a mask . I think, He is an immature person who need to be educated.

The staff here is so rude all the time they re very unfriendly. They don t wear their masks and use gloves and when you mention it to them they answer it with cause this is our place Very unprofessional and they treat couriers from skip the dishes and doordash very very rude.

My family ordered with the Kanata Hazeldean location tonight (Sept 12, 2020 @ 18:38; takeout order #00058). We bought two calamari appetizers and one rice pilaf for the expensive price of $36.70. The calamari was extremely freezer burnt and overcooked. It was overly salty and was not fresh. The calamari was so hard to bite through and was incredibly unappetizing. Photos show the calamari that has thinned and dried out from being freezer burnt and overcooked. We have ordered calamari with Greek on Wheels for years, but after having bad quality calamari on several occasions with this location, we will not be ordering from Greek On Wheels again. Sadly, the quality has gotten worse with every consecutive order of calamari we have made. We are very disappointed to be writing this review.

Great taste great size servings fast service

Fast, delicious hot food. Chicken is always cooked perfectly. The nice delivery guy read the sign on our door, gently knocked and got back in his car and drove off. Other places like Gabriels Kanata cant figure this basic stuff out. I even asked for extra hot Peppers instead of tomatoes and they did it no charge. I love the Greek on wheels location.

Twice now I have ordered late at night near closing time, and requested a Caesar salad with my order. Twice now they have sent me the wrong salad and not answered the phone when I called to ask them to send me the correct item. Clearly they cannot be bothered to check and make sure to send the correct order. Last time I ever order from them.

I had a chicken souvlaki platter with an added lamb stick came with a good amount of rice and a large half of a potato that was kinda undercooked and tastes baked or boiled. The Greek salad was all lettuce I had 2 olives 2 onions 1 cucumber alice and 2 small tomatoe wedge there was also no dressing on salade the chicken was not bad and the lamb was not bad either overall was ok but if definitely was not worth 25$

Ordered food for my birthday/our 6th anniversary we ordered the shrimp and calamari platter and the calamari platter for my husband ..the shrimp was lovely the calamari tasted like someone pranked and took the lid off the salt shaker and was completely inedible ....the Greek salad I had to chop up all the lettuce and veggies and feta into smaller pieces to even be edible very disappointed as we live greek food and was hoping after months of lockdown to have a good birthday dinner should have gone to our usual favorite instead and will not be returning

Great tasting food, but really expensive for what it is. If you dont mind spending over $20 per person for fast food and youre craving Greek, this is the place to go.

I love souvlakis, but this place wasnt the one with good souvlakis. Went off hours, the chicken souvlaki was hard to chew. Chicken could be juicy and softer. Shirmp skewer was better, but still not the way I expected.

the food was too old everything was testing bad and old we almost threw up we kinda threw all the food but the flafel was not bad but other things was too bad and the price was too much for the quality of the food

Me and my parents used to order from here quite frequently and it was very delicious. Great Greek food that tastes very fresh and juicy. The garlic dip is delicious also. The sign is quite correct about it being the best. I would recommend trying it atleast once

We placed a decently big order 30 minutes before close (yeah we were one of those), and everything was ready within 10 minutes when we arrived for pick-up. Super friendly, and excellent customer service. Also, the food tasted great!
