If one thinks that the bibimbap is perfect for summer workday lunch thanks to its light and refreshing flavor, the pork bone soup would just be the best dinner choice for winter. The word one could think of to describe the pork bone soup, is warm. It warms up the month, the stomach and the heart. The pork is stewed, tender and flavorful. I don’t mind being messy and try my best to get every bit of meat with the chopsticks, my hand and my teeth. It isn’t the best scene - but who cares. The kimchi radish is crunchy, bringing a nice contrast to the tenderness of the pork and the potato. And the sourness of the kimchi, on the other hand, compliments the spiciness of the soup so well. And don’t forget to add a bowl of rice into your order. (It really should not even be an opt-out!) Trust me, you neeeed the rice! Rice is this perfect canvas for all the other flavors to showcase their colors. And the texture of the rice, soft but with a bit of a chew, really brings everything together. Drizzle some soup on the rice and have a mouthful with the pork and the kimchi, and there, you have your moment of satisfaction after a stressful long-day work. One good thing about this place is that the overall flavor profile, at least for the dishes I have tried, is not really heavy and spicy, although the owner is really from South Korea. If in a sense that spicy food with strong flavors can be described as “aggressive”, the food flavor here would be called gentle, warm and friendly - exact the same impression the owner lady would leave you with. I know that most Korean food would be a lot spicier - but the food here will not strike you as “unauthentic”, not like some “modified Asian food” ( you know what I’m talking about). Rather, the food offered by this restaurant feels more like, your good buddy from South Korea really wants you to try their hometown food but also well aware that you are not that good with very spicy stuff, so they go out their way to find the right balance in cooking and seasoning and flavoring, so you don’t miss the essence of the dish but still feel very comfortable enjoying it. And I enjoyed it so much. And I will come again and again. 맛있는 음식 감사합니다
This place was so delicious! Such a homey vibe and the woman running the restaurant is so sweet and kind 🥰 I love eating homemade Korean food and I love that there is now a place to go to in the Kanata/stittsville area! It just hits the spot. Highly recommend this place!
i had the food here for the first time with my boyfriend and we absolutely loved it! the auntie was really sweet and the atmosphere was very welcoming! we will be coming here soon with our friends 😋😋😋🔥
Food: toboki sauce was watery and not properly seasoned. Japchae was okay, but wasn't cooked properly. The bibimbop was cold. We ordered there in person and ate immediately, so the issues with cooking weren't related to ordering or anything. Other reviews said the serving sizes were good, but this wasn't my experience given the intersection between food quality and price. I'm comparing all to Korean Palace which was great food. Service: they were really personable and nice, but we stood and waited without service for 10 minutes, we had to ring the bell twice before anyone even noticed we were there. Atmosphere: it smelled like cleaning solution covering up the smell of old wet sponges. The cutlery was in drawers which you could take from yourself, I personally find this less hygienic that everyone's hands can go in there.
A very small and quaint restaurant with a homey vibe. We were greeted with a kind and happy smile and given great service. The food was delicious. I had the Dakgalbi and it was seasoned to perfection. The portion sizes are fairly large too, and I left feeling satisfied. Don’t let any emptiness in this place deter you! This place is a hidden gem.
I had the gochujang fried chicken. It was very good and the portion size was generous. The woman running this place was very friendly and the overall vibe was homey and welcoming.
Restaurant is small only has 4 tables. We ordered two seafood pancakes and a toboki. Pancakes were lacking flavour and ingredients. Not enough seafood in it, mostly imitation crab and lots of green onion! It was our first time trying toboki so I can not reference it to any others but it was a little bland and not spicy enough. Staff was nice.
We ordered from this spot twice; the first time we tried their Korean food and the second time we got their sushi. Both times were delicious! A little on the higher end but the food is made with love and care, and both times we went, there was only one person working both the front and back and she was so sweet! Food came out in a timely manner and no corners were cut with the quality. We’ll be back and definitely recommend!
always amazing food
We spent almost $100 today for 3 dishes and 1 sushi, and then we had to go to the next door, Pizza Hut to order a large pizza to feed my two kids again ! Service, 0; portion, 1; taste, 2.
Kid-friendliness: Very nice ownera Food
I love this place! The food is great, economical and plentiful. Its a hidden gem!
Amazing authentic Korean restaurant. Owner is so kind and always so excited to help out and even let us try some water kimchi !! Food is amazing especially the bibimbap and the tteokbokki. I would 100% recommend and would totally go again. Give this place a chance it is so worth it.
Amazing food!!! Definitely would come again :)
The price is not justified for the amount given. Food has very basic flavors.
Ordered the sushi and roll tray for pickup. Would not order again. Miso soup really weak as well, flavourless. Food : 3/5
Food is fresh, tasty, and service is friendly and quick. Kimchi pancake so good!!!?Also handy to have sesame seed in bulk available for. Purchase! Saved me a trip across town. Great local Business. Online ordering is easy, too. Thank you for a delicious lunch.
Super friendly staff, delicious food! 10 out of 10, will return! Definitely recommend. Super fast service, food came out quickly and tasted incredible!
It s a beautiful little restaurant with a very friendly owner. The food is AMAZING and the service was very fast. I can t wait to try everything on their menu Vegetarian options: They mark all of their vegetarian options on the menu and you can add tofu if you want :) Parking: The parking lot is a little awkward but at lunch time on a Saturday there were plenty of spots available. Kid-friendliness: The menus are laminated so no worry about making a mess and the utensils are in drawers at the tables so if you drop any, you have a spare ready.
Absolutely amazing experience. Hanahana is a gem of a small business. I really loved their chicken and rice- I dont even really like rice but this was a perfect pairing with the chicken!, I look forward to trying their sushi on my next visit! I highly recommend trying them out.
I always ordered from here dakgangjeong and it was super tasty but few days ago i went there and ate sundubu and kimchi pancake. Lady was sweet and was the only one working and taking order, she didnt ask me spice level and kimchi pancake was so tasteless and when i got sundubu on the serving bowl i found hair and then I couldn t eat the dish well, she apologised and asked me if i wanted a new one but I can t wait so after finishing the rice and eating bit of kimchi pancake with it and left
My husband and I have been here twice and both times the service was amazing. There was one woman working and making everything fresh! So far we have tried the kimchi fried rice, ojingeo bokum (squid stir fry), dakgangjeong (korean fried chicken), and kimbap. Every single thing was soooo delicious. This is a hidden gem and we will definitely be back.
I was raised on the owl of Minerva porkbone , which will always have a close place to my heart, but I must say, this place is very good! I even tried a salmon/avocado sushi roll. The salmon was fresh and the avocado was ripe. This was my first order, and Ill definitely be going back. Porkbone is legit!! Dont forget to get the rice..
Some dishes need a little more spice and seasoning but It s a nice place to go for Kanata! The service was really nice and super friendly!
They scammed me they gave me half topoki in a small bowl and the rice cakes were cut in half and the fish cakes weren t even there
Great Korean food. It s consistently high quality and always fresh. It s always ready on time as well, so you never have to wait. I recommend everything on the menu, but I especially love the jajangmyeon.
I had a terrible experience with my recent takeout order from Hanahana. Not only did I find a hair in my fried egg, but the dish also looked like it was made from leftovers that were sitting in the fridge for a week. There were hardly any veggies and only tiny beef crumbs in it. This was completely unacceptable, and I was extremely disappointed with the quality of the food. I hope the restaurant takes immediate action to improve their hygiene and food quality standards.
I had an ok experience, probably lot of build up in my head. Food was ok, reasonably priced. Went when there was only one server and the cook.
I have been ordering from hana hana for the past 8 years and the quality of the food has never disappointed. Bulgogi, dalgalbi is a must try. She also sells kimchi seperate and they are household staple.
simple and yummy
great food! loved the kimchi pancakes!
This is the worst restaurant I ever seen in my life, there are only two small pieces of meat. After I had a phone call to the restaurant and the lady said it s the regular size they made. She thought it my fault choice the wrong dish.
As an out-of-town customer, this is the best meal I had in Ottawa. Very authentic homemade style delicious meal. It was just google finding from Hotel and very satisfied. A bit spicy but perfect for Korean. 5 . . If you are not Korean ask for little less spicy!
Ordered in their fried chicken. At this moment it is by far the best in the city (after the fry went out of business I have been looking.for a good Korean friend chicken). I was super impressed with the quality of the food. It was not A LOT of food but every bite was really quite good. It was not over fried and the kimchi was quite nice as well. I would recommend getting it with any order from.here.
This place is great, and all run by one hardworking woman. We love the bibimpap!! So tasty
Service was quick and friendly; bulgogi beef & kimchi - tasty.
Pretty much a takeout only place. Sushi rolls are fresh but very basic. The chirashi-zushi is the best in town - instead of a bowl of rice with a couple pieces of fish, you get a solid protein serving with maybe a half-cup of rice underneath. But they make it spicy so if you cant handle heat, ask them to take it down a notch!
So I will premise that my star rating is based on their sushi alone. I didnt eat anything else and wouldnt want to mark against their korean dishes. My usual place closed and this was one of the closest spots to order from and looking at their reviews it seemed like a good place. We ordered online through skip the dishes for takeout and the experience has left me feeling dissapointed and i am unlikely going to order from them in the future. Ill explain my top three issues below. 1. Pricing- Overall I feel the price was a little high but not overwhelming. This pretty meal was $85 after tax. I was a little disappointed on the serving sizes to cost ratio but it did feed the family of four. 2. Presentation - I was greatly surprised at the poor filling, wrapping, and cutting of the sushi. While I wont give it a failing grade as I suspect some natural shifting occurred in the vehicle. Clearly some of our orders were done with little attention to presentation and were unevenly filled out. Some were already falling apart before we even started eating. 3 The Taste - Okay, my pallet may be picky because I spent most of my life in Vancouver but the tuna was definately not fresh. I also found that they overstuffed the rolls with avocado to reduce the cuts of fish/imitation crab.
We ordered some sushi and bibimbap from here for our family. Everything was good except no soy sauce with the sushi.
Review from Uber eats order. The gyoza was tasty and overall visually looked great. I also ordered a bibimbap and found it to be pretty disappointing. Just one small piece of meat hidden under the egg. Should just take the meat out of the item all together if this is what is provided.
Food was delicious (especially the Korean pancakes and japchae), the kind lady on the phone was also extremely sweet as well
The food we got for takeout tasted great, especially the pajeon! Update: over a year later and the food quality has gotten noticeably worse. Kimchi fried rice is more sour than normal and the bibimbap barely had any meat in it.
Always fantastic!!!
Too unfriendly and the service is a mess.
Love this spot for some delicious and authentic Korean food!
This place had a excellent seafood pancake, fair price and was massive. The chap chae and pork bone soul was tasty as well
Good Korean dishes that always hit the spot. A little bit small on the portion size and sometimes they are out of menu options. The sushi isnt very good and best to be avoided for the tastier bulgogi or bimbimpaps they serve.
Delicious food, quick service. The lady working the last few hours of the day was alone in taking and preparing all orders, including cooking - very impressed, especially because we had ordered five items cooked and served in 10 minutes. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian sushi roll, tofu gyoza, rice cake Parking: Plaza parking Kid-friendliness: Sushi, Korean fried chicken, beef and vegetables Wheelchair accessibility: First level, no step
Never had Bibimbap before, so I thought I d give it a try. It was tasty, but very disappointing. It was mostly rice with a few veggies and a tiny piece of meat. I didn t honestly even notice the meat, but I assume it was there as that s what I ordered.
Wow... terrible portions. We maybe received at the most a tablespoon of ground beef in the bibimbap. If you want a bowl of white rice for $18 this place is for you. Otherwise, find another resto.
Pretty good sushi but it s not amazing. Ordered takeout in May 2021 and got the large platter of sushi for $77. Eel, salmon sushi were very good. Price was somewhat high but it s sushi. Makis were good too. Gamjatang was similar to other Chinatown restaurants, but with no rice and barely any potato (I think 1 one small potato cut up). For I think $17 that may be high.
Food was incredibly fresh and very tasty. You could tell it was made with care. Ordered Gyoja, Bulgogi, Bibimbap and sushi. Enjoyed everything. We will order again and try more of the sushi offerings.
I have been wanting to try this Korean restaurant forever, however I am very disappointed by the portions that were given in my pork bone soup (15.99).... The ratio of soup to pork was not even and I couldnt believe it. I would rather make it homemade next time sorry. Also what kind of Korean restaurant doesnt have side dishes included ....
Absolutely amazing kimchi pancakes!
Great food.
Sushi - ordered a large special platter and the rice was nice/fresh and enjoyed the salmon. It was $$, but really hit the spot, though slightly unexpected because its a Korean restaurant. Im not very familiar with Korean food, but will order from here when ready to acquaint myself and family with it!
Ordered on uber eats several times now and the food is always ready quick, the servings are large and I ve never been left disappointed! I highly recommend ordering from here.
I think the people giving five star reviews gave never had good Korean food, such as Ali Rang. Pretty terrible, overly salty, bad cuts of meat. Sushi is really bad too!
Ordered the spicy rice cakes ($10.95), stir fry pork ($15.95), and pork bone soup ($14.95). Everything was alright and it was quite pricy for the portion received.
Order the beef with rice dish. Small amount for $16. It was just bland. Not enough sauce so it was just eating plain rice and beef. It was so bad that I had to add soya sauce to get some taste.
The food is okay. the portions are very small so one order isnt enough for one person. I put a small banana next to dish I received for perspective. Also, when I ordered Calamari noodles, there was barely any Calamari in there...I wont order again.
I deliberately went to visit from afar, but the customer response was very cold and short, as if asking why I had come. I wondered if the day was bad or if the store was closing soon. I was in a bad mood so I thought I would just leave, but I felt like it would be a shame to come from far away, so I ordered bulgogi sushi, gamjatang, and japchae for $45. I sent my husband to pick it up because I was afraid he would fight when I went to pick it up, but he said he was very kind haha (the groom is Canadian) Oh, I think they only do that to Koreans or Asians. The price seems to be too high compared to the quality. To be honest, the gamjatang only contains bones and meat.. The japchae also has glass noodles, cabbage, carrots, and a little onion.. They seem to be very sparing with the ingredients. Bulgogi sushi is an unknown mix of sushi rice and kimbap fillings. My husband ate two and spit it out... I was thinking of giving it one star, but the taste wasnt bad, except for the bulgogi sushi, so I gave it two stars. A place you never want to go to again.
i have only ever had the dakgangjeong here. it is gonna do what needs to be done every time. it is crunchy, sweet and spicy, the rice is perfectly sticky and well seasoned. I would eat it every day if I could. Unfortunately I had to give 4 stars just because of the price of $20 for one bowl.
Very small portion! Ordered in pictures plus a ordinary sushi for $50, cannot feed two person. Barely two kids.
My boyfriend and I tried this place around when the pandemic started and a lot of our regular sushi places closed up. We havent tried anything other than the sushi bc the sushi here is just so tasty and fresh. This is our go to place now!
Honestly the food itself was quite good. I ordered assorted sushi, miso soup, and spicy squid with rice. Flavours where good but nothing overly spectacular. The price point well that s the big weakness. I was just over $50 with tip for the food pictured. It s good but not great and I personally don t find the portion sizes or quality in line with the price.
Delicious authentic Korean cuisine! Been looking for such a place. Little on the expensive side
This place is good, but not great. I used to live in Korea, and once in awhile I get a craving for Korean food. Luckily, each time Ive been here the place has been empty, so I havent had to wait. However, while the food is authentic, its not amazing. On my most recent visit, the server was explaining that my selection was too spicy for me (which, to be fair, I used to hear over there). However, when I explained - in Korean - that I like spicy food, I was still served a very bland dish. There are no traditional side dishes, and on the last visit I wasnt even offered water. Ill almost certainly be back regardless, as its the closest Korean restaurant to me, but I prefer alternatives in Ottawa.
Compared to Toronto Korean, Japanese Restaurants: Price: $$ Food Quality: 3/5 Service: 3/5 Overall , ok experience. Note to self: Lunch bento box comes NOT with a sushi roll, but 1 single piece of a sushi roll...which Ive never experienced in Toronto.
Really good food and great service! A must try. We ll be ordering again.
Tonight I went in to get their fabulous kimchi, but while I was there I couldnt help but grab an order of kimchijeon as well. The pancake is the size of a small pizza, but cut up into (big) bites. Hot and crispy if you get to it right away! It lost some crispness by the time we got home, of course, but is still hard to hold off eating the whole thing. Their kimchi is also fabulous. Fresh, spicy and perfect with a touch of sesame oil. Again, I have to watch that I dont eat through the whole tub in a couple of days. Friendly staff. Good prices. Quick service. Great food. What else do you need? Did I mention g
I spent $54 on sushi and ate it ALL The lady there was so helpful and told me what everything was, but it doesnt matter. I will eat everything they make... So good!!
Always happy with the food we get from Hanahana. Everything looks and tastes fresh. Sushi is sometimes not put together quite as nicely as other places but it always tastes great.
Just ordered a mix of traditional Korean food and sushi. It was excellent. I have been craving sushi and dumplings for so long! Everything was fresh and delicious. The Korean fried chicken was especially good. It is a little bit pricey for what you get but I will definitely order again!!! Mmmmmmm
The pork bone soup is delicious. The broth is thick and flavourful. The portions of pork on the bones are generous and tender. Its a perfect bowl to have on a chilly day or any day really. I would order this for takeout again. The dakgangjeong is not the best Korean fried chicken that I have had, but it still tastes great. I was disappointed because it was not spicy at all as promised. The dakgalbi was very good as well. I asked for very spicy and it tasted moderately spicy. I didnt like the spicy fish sushi roll as there was hardly any fish in each piece. They give you a lot of pieces but there is more rice and a little fish. I would have preferred less pieces and more wholesome sushi pieces.
Their Korea food is good, but sushi is horrible, the rice tastes very sour.
I ve ordered through UberEats twice with Hanahana & both times the orders went though quickly and were delivered quickly as well (20-30ish minutes). I have eaten the salmon maki rolls & the gyoja and both were really yummy and fresh! I haven t tried their Korean foods yet, but I would definitely recommend for their sushi and gyoja.
Food portion was so small that u would think that someone ate it.
Ordered delivery. The food arrived hot and well packaged. The kimchi fried rice was fine (the taste of butter overpowered everything else but there was an egg on top which was a nice touch). The bulgogi was very good and had lots of flavour. Not 100% authentic Korean food, but pretty close!
The food from Hanahana was so good!! We especially loved the A02. Kimchi Pancake & the M05. Jaeyook Bokum!!
Ok
Small portion. No seafood in the seafood iron noodles.
Ordered their sushi. Some interesting Korean flair on the sushi. The spicy fish one was great and I enjoy the pop of green onion. The Imitation crab one is a bit of a miss. Feels weird to have pickled veggies in sushi.
Incredible selection of delicious sushi!
Great food. This is the best Korean food in Kanata.
Lower your expectation if you want to enjoy.
Went for lunch. Food was excellent.
Asked for a kimchi pancake, got a seafood pancake. Asked for chicken stew, got pork stew. When I asked her to change it, she told me it was definitely chicken. I know the difference between chicken and pork. No side dishes were included...this is unheard of for a Korean restaurant. I will never go back
Ordered bibimbap for takeout. Was very good.
My wife and I used skip the dishes. We ordered kimchi rice, pork stir fry, beef bulgogi and a salmon roll. We had no real issues, our order wasn t screwed up or anything, we were simply very underwhelmed with our experience. With the exception of the kimchi rice, the food was pretty bland. At $13-$15 bucks a bowl, it was mostly filled with sticky rice and not a lot of topping. You can get better food for cheaper elsewhere.
Highly recommend - great food great value
The pork bone soup is amazing here!
I go here often for lunch/dinner and its one of the most authentic homemade Korean food in Ottawa.
Simple Korea family meals in Ottawa. I would like to try seafood pancakes next time.
good food, authentic Korean cuisine, friendly eating environment, its great we have a nice Korean restaurant to go to in kanata!
What a great place for great food! Our party did take out last week and it was amazing! Kalbi beef and sushi rolls were so good! Definitely recommend and we will be back!
Great authentic Korean food and very nice lady cooking the food. Not big as a restaurant but feel free to take out, she works with skipthedishes as well, good size of the dishes, we enjoyed it.
Dont ever order sushi here...unless u r willing to get sick and disappointed
I ordered seafood undo noodles tasted good but had no shrimp, no scallops just 2 microscopic squid pieces and very few vegetables. Those were listed on the menu. I ask the waitress and she wanted to charge me $4 for shrimps. Very disappointed.
The spicy stir fry chicken was really really good I ate it all very quickly. It was the perfect balance of flavors without excess salt or oil. Side dishes should be listed, i had to ask for a side of kimchi witbout knowing the price right off the bat. I was hoping I could do some work on Wi-Fi but there is no guest wifi which I thought was odd for this day and age. Seating is comfy and cozy. Owner was nice. Price is a bit high in my opinion. I would go back though.
Delicious food and friendly staff, impressed with the noodles, and both chicken dishes
Best Korean I ve ever had. Highly recommend.
Its ok
Not very happy with first time take out. They don`t write down your Information like name, phone number. I were told my order already gone when I arrived. What? OK, I need to wait for fine mins. It was fine. The pork bone soup is too salty, and only a few bones with two pieces small potato for 12 .5 after tax. Rice is extra $1, no side dishes. I prefer Korean restaurants in downtown, more generours and delicious. I think it will be my first but also last time to try this restaurant.
Food was good and the price was right
Been here several times. Good Korean food! Warm friendly lady.
Looked like and tasted premade commercialized food... The price sure wasnt premade commercialized though...
I tried this place for the first time when it opened and wasnt too pleased but told myself I would try it again. I ordered online today through Skip the Dishes as I had a coupon code I wanted to use. When I came in I told the lady my name and she looked at me puzzled. I told her again and she rushed to the back. She came back, pointed to my food and told me to call them next time so they dont have to pay Skip the Dishes a portion. Foodwise, I was surprised that the shrimp rice wraps were very good as the last time they were disappointing (mostly vermicelli) but the miso soup was just broth and seaweed (which I would expect if it was free soup but it wasnt a combo) and the dynamite roll to my surprise had wasabi in it (a heads up on the menu wouldve been nice!). With 2 disappointing experiences I wont be trying this place again unfortunately.
Incredibly delicious!
As a Korean myself, I didnt expect much to begin with since this is in Kanata. But even then, the food here is quite terrible. Gamjatang (pork bone soup) has distinct cheap ramen soup powder flavor, and bibimbap was way too sweet. I guess it works out for those who havent experienced real Korean food but if you ever tried a decent one this is no place for you.
So glad theres a place to get decent Korean food in Kanata. Small place only a few tables for dining in. Most customers order to go or pick up. The staff is friendly and Ive tasted a bunch of the menu. Highly suggest the dalk galbi (spicy chicken), its my favorite and tough to find even in the city.
Not great it used to be
While passing by the city, I picked up their Bulgogi - Grilled marinated beef with rice, along with a container of kimchi. The bulgogi was flavorful and the kimchi was very tasty. I would come here with my whole family if we pass by this city again.
This place is so grosse. And a waste of money. So expensive for nothing. The rice is grosse everything about it is disgusting. The lady who works there is rude and doesn t care about your business. I spent 12.95 on a stone bowl. And I didn t even get a stone bowl!!
Terrible food for the price. Ordered stone bowl which was served in a plastic bowl... with COLD rice and very small portion beef that I can barely see, for more than $12!!! Worst Korean food ever had
100/10 would recommend!
WOW TALENT So delicious. Will be back for sure :)
It was ok, the food was good but by no means amazing. A little on the pricey side considering the size of the servings.
Cheaply made tasteless food. What was described as potato noodles with mixed vegetables ended up being about a tenth of one carrot shredded, and approximately a quarter of a cabbage leaf chopped. The rest was over cooked noodles. $12 for approximately 50 cents worth of tasteless food.
I enjoy the the Japchae (potato noodle dish) here quite a bit. Fast service, fresh food. I need to try more items on the menu
Love that we have a Korean restaurant in Kanata finally. Lady at hanahana is a one person show. Whips of great food and runs the cashier... Shes a machine. Awesome food. Finally an alternative place to eat in Kanata .... Kanata is so full of shawarma overload and plain Jane basic burger and chain restaurants..... Hope to see more real Korean food in Kanata.
Given the tragic lack of options in Kanata for Korean food, this place isnt unbearably bad. But you could do much better if youre willing to drive a bit more towards downtown Ottawa.
Fresh to order sushi is great and the bowls are simply delicious. Quick and convenient Korean food in Kanata.
We are regulars here! The pajun is of substantial portions and delish! The dalkgalbi is solid (but does not have dalk in it - not like the typical Korean dish, but still has great flavour). The fried chicken is crunchy with a sweet spicy sauce. The pork soup is a go-to, but is strangely only served with one potato. The service is always great and lady who regularly serves us is very lovely. If you are looking for a Korean place, this is a good one. If you are looking for very authentic Korean food, it isnt spot on, but as far as Ottawa goes, you will be pleasantly surprised.
One of the best takeout sushi in town.
Tasty and fast. Highly recommended.
Delicious Korean staples such as bibimbap, sending jjigae, dokbokki, and pajeon. Service is prompt and takeout nicely packaged. The Hana box lunch is worth it.
Really good food and nice owner . I will definitely be going again and telling my family about it!!
They make a good spicy korean chicken here. Kimchi is good too! And the owner will talk to you in Korean if you try.
I visit this restaurant quite often for sit in and pick up. It seems to be a family restaurant. Pick up is better as it is quite small and informal. The food here is excellent and the service is great. They prepare authentic Korean food. Waiting time for pickup is about 15 minutes. Today, I went during my lunch break and realized that they also offer lunch specials! I would definitely recommend Hana Hana.
Amazing korean food for just a takeout restaurant!
The pork bone soup is OK, with a good portion and taste fresh. But not for the kimchi soup, it came with a kids bowl and there was some kimchi and a few small pork meet with lots fat.
Service is quick and friendly! Love the Bulgogi roll and Bibimbap!!
The korean food is ok if youre stuck in kanata. You do not get any traditional side dishes. They dont even give you a side of kimchi. Not really worth it for the price. Id rather go to Bronson or Somerset.
Great food!
Awesome authentic Korean food.
Amazing Korean food. I bring everyone I know to this place. Very nice and friendly staff that make you feel at home. Stir fry and fried chicken are so good.
Only tried the jjajangmyeon, but it was too sweet. Doesnt seem very authentic.
Very good food.
Never order the kimchi soup. Kids portion with no meat, no rice, no side dishes and the price is 10.95. What?!( 0 ) ~( )( ) ³ ( )
Good price for value, especially sushi. Bulgogi was excellent
Not impressed with the bulgugi and the California roll was disappointing.
Good Korean food. Small place. food was ready fast
Best, and only, Korean restaurant in Kanata. Food is pretty good and so is the service. Small location.
Wish I took some pictures. Small place for take out that happens to have a few seats inside. The day I went, it was busier than usual from the friend that recommend the place. Portions for the seafood pancake was massive. When I looked around, looked like everyone was having the pork bone soup. I had it too and it was delicious. Will be back again. I enjoyed the nice touch of the tables. They have drawers with your utensils inside.
Try it out for something different... hana box is a nice way to sample. Chicken and pork stir fries are spicy and flavorful with good sized portions.
Nice place to grab lunch.
Was a great authentic korean lunch. I will be going back.
Our go-to place for authentic Korean food in Ottawa! The kimchee is made fresh and the food is amazing. The wait is a little long so you might be better off ordering over the phone first! Highly recommended!
