Sansotei is a Canadian brand specializing in authentic Tonkotsu Ramen, sourcing the highest quality products and ingredients both locally and direct from Japan. At Sansotei, we strive to build a culture of hard work and dedication, and we are passionate about serving the best ramen, one bowl at a time.
I am not sure but I think I love the ramen here more than at the other two locations. The cozy atmosphere and the fact that it’s not as crowded might make it even better! But every staff in all locations are just amazing! Kudos 🩵
My favourite place to go for ramen! Awesome experience every time! Very happy they have Kanata location now!
If I could give more than 5 ⭐️ stars, I seriously would. This place is so delicious 🤤 😋. It’s my favourite restaurant even though I’m not even Japanese. The service is excellent and the 🍜 is to die for. I recommend the spicy 🌶️ Tantan, the shoyu, or the chicken shio. Eat here and prepare to be amazed. 😲👌🏻
I ordered takeout from here- Chicken Shio and Spicy Tantan. The food is delicious but the ramen broth is negligible. The broth was only about half an inch. It looked like I ordered noodles with a little bit of gravy. Not happy with it. Looking at the photos of the food being served in the restaurant, it feels like they skimp on takeout orders. :(
Been here many times since moving to Kanata! I lived in Japan 🇯🇵 for over 2 years and their ramen comes pretty close. Their Zangi appetizer taste almost like Karaage in Japan. The only difference though is that, their KARAAGE in Japan are bigger pieces than their Zangi. You’ve got to eat the ones in Japan at the Karayama restaurant. I also love the abstract simplicity of their restaurant design. They also recently changed their chairs. Very comfortable. Will continue to be my go to for Ramen here in Kanata.
We got their Tomato Ramen and Miso Black Ramen. They were both just okay, the tomato one tasted a bit like canned tomato soup. It tasted better though, when I added a bunch of chili (togarashi?) flakes and chili oil, which seemed to bring down the overwhelming sweetness a bit. The Hokkaido scallop in it was really good! The eggs were cold in both ramen, but dunked into the very hot broth, it was somewhat fine. Our server was welcoming and attentive. Gave us good recommendations when we asked. Overall the experience was good, so I think we'll mainly come back for the original Tonkotsu Ramen, and their Zangi which was served piping hot + fresh and tasted really good!
The servers were nice. The food was okay. The atmosphere was sort of uncomfortable but that is probably just me. They have nice chairs and the places in nice looking in general. The food was okay. Was a little upset that my egg was ice cold and my noodles weren’t fully cooked. Crunchy. Other than that the flavour was good. Servers would have got more but they seemed unenthusiastic and just there to get through their day.
Can’t go wrong with Sansotei. Super flavourful and perfect for the cold weather! We ordered the Tonkatsu Black and added on bamboo shoots, corn and rice on the side. We also ordered the fried chicken, which was super juicy and crispy. The broth was creamy and very nice. Overall the atmosphere is busy and service was super friendly. There is a bit of a wait since there is limited seating, especially for larger groups with more than 4 people.
Been there several times. Every time has been excellent in food, service and atmosphere. Even the little things, like the Japanese music they play, is great! Recommend if you love ramen or have never had it before. You gotta try this place!
Popped in for a quick mid shopping lunch break. I was greeted and seated immediately. The staff were very lovely and took my order right away and I was served 5 mins later with amazing ramen. I look forward to dining here again!
Horrible service experience, good food. Wanted a small effortless adjustment to my ramen, was refused for no reason.
Delicious as always! You cant go wrong with the Tonkatsu black.
Wonderful Wonderful food!
I ve always loved their ramen and have gone many times, no complaints there. I tried the seaweed salad and woke up vomiting through the night. Please check this!
The food was excellent! Service was fast and friendly and a funky feel to the restaurant. I would recommend to anyone looking for the best ramen in Ottawa!
It s my go to restaurant for slow cooked chicken wings and of course their Ramen
Delicious, with fast service and good ambiance to boot
Good food and good service, the restaurant is a bit overwhelmed with chatters but other than that everything seems right on.
I ordered takeout online. Never received any email/ text confirmation. When I went to pick up they kept me waiting for 15/ 20 minutes and after that they mentioned they couldn t find the order details!! I showed them the picture of the order confirmation and then they packed the food. Terrible service!! Also, the Ramen was tasteless and worst Ramen I ever had. Waste of Money and time. Never going back.
Great food, great service.
Amazing food, very quiet and cute, highly recommend Parking: Couple of spots not a problem Kid-friendliness: Kids can get what they want there there many options
I was here for lunch recently and tried some of their dishes. Flavourful, fresh and good tasting, yet fast service.
I decided to try this place for lunch with my daughter. The food was no good! We both left wondering what the heck was that!!!! A piece of old tasring pork, sliced and tossed in with egg noodles in some broth. NOT worth the time or money. We were also the only two people in the place and the service was non-existent!!
banger ramen
Very slurpable noods and great wait staff.
My least favourite location out of all the Ottawa ones. The atmosphere is cold and boring. Staff are ok but each time Ive gone they seem unenthusiastic and barely bother with the Welcoming. Went for lunch today and wanted to order Simple Set. They were unable to sell it because they were out of rice.... A Japanese restaurant without rice is ridiculous. Probably just didnt make any which is also unacceptable. Wont be going back here, unfortunately they were the only location open today.
This location of Sansotei is close to my house, so I usually come here over Merivale. The workers are so friendly and always offer top notch service. They make sure you have everything you need before they walk away. The food is absolutely delicious and affordable. The ambiance is chill and comforting! They play music that everyone can enjoy regardless of age. Perfect place to enjoy a good meal!
The Ramen its so good that I wanted to take another bowl right after. The waiters are sweet and will suggest you what to take if you ask. The location is super calm and the music chosen is top notch.
Food is consistently great and the staff are friendly. My favorite ramen place
Me and my aunt enjoyed our first time at this restaurant the staff were so friendly and helpful, the place was so clean and well maintained and our food was exceptional, I had the tonkotsu ramen, it was so delicious and not overly salty and the meat just melted in my mouth it was super tender and i really enjoyed it , my aunt had the chicken shio ramen she absolutely loved it and the chicken was incredibly tender. The gyoza was incredible and flavorful me and my aunt finished it in less than 5 minutes, and the mango cheesecake was such a good ending, the prices were also very reasonable, I cant wait to come back to try more on their menu and bring my parents here to this hidden gem we found.
Nice atmosphere, friendly staff but little bit slow service. Food is okay and plenty.
It was soooo good I recommend to everyone to get extra noodles it s definitely worth it if you want to be full ( ima 17yo 6 4 male)
The only good Japanese ramen in the west end
the food tasted good but i paid extra to have corn put in my ramen and I got literally 6 kernels lmao
They never disappoint. New location in Kanata is asthetically pleasing and food always hits the spot
Amazing food, service and atmosphere all made possible by our amazing server! She had brown highlights and clear glasses, I don t know her name. If you ever get served by her, say thank you to her for me! There was also this blonde girl with a nose piercing who was extremely friendly and helpful when we asked for menu recommendations!
All around wonderful food, service and atmosphere I have never had quite a good restaurant experience. The waiter with the light dyed hair in the front of her face was absolutely amazing at her job. She was very helpful with finding the best option on the menu for what I liked along with being a super nice and welcoming young lady. The other waiter with the blonde hair had help out at my table and was very lovely and sweet a very nice presence to have in the restaurant. I will 100% be coming back to this restaurant and hope I have the same wonderful staff serve me again.
Tried this for dinner after traveling, food was great and nice flavourful range of dishes, service was quick and staff was friendly, priced well.
Was told by the server that the Simple Set menu item was not available because they ran out of ingredients. Found it hilarious when we asked another server and the dish was available. It was also available on Uber eats. Nice way to run up the bill.
The management is unprofessional and I had a terrible time eating here.
The food was amazing, the service was incredible and the general atmosphere is gorgeous, welcoming and clean
Amazing service from guy and girl today ate the Tonkatsu Black. They gave me the choice of less salty or regular salty. Love it here and will come back again.
Food was amazing staff was very friendly. And portion sizes were great. Also very clean atmosphere. Would definitely go again
We were a party of 4 three adults and a baby. The server for table five workstation #1 went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. The baby made a mess and she cleaned it immediately and was super friendly and gave Superior service. The food was delicious and service prompt. Thank you. We will be back.wevwere there today between 4:30 and 6:30 March 24
It is not tasty that as the other location, however spicy Tantan is still a winner. Great service. Food
First thing I noticed was the amazing atmosphere in here. So well done! The service was great and not pushy in your face at all. I only gave a 4 star because they only have two vegatarion options. But wow the dish I got was amazing! Will be returning again.
great food, wished i could swim in their broth
Loved the garlic ramen, will go again!
We are so incredibly lucky to have the best Ramen in Toronto and Ottawa coming to Kanata! This is by far the best Ramen you will have in the Ottawa area and being able to stay in Kanata Centrum for this high quality ramen is amazing. I always go for the Miso due to the incredible toppings and edible flower.
It was my first time here. I am picky guy in food but i like it. Will come again.
Perfectly pleasant ramen spot. Nothing fancy, just what you need for a quick fix!
Phenomenal customer service! Love love loved the croquets and the gyoza. The corn croquets were so creamy on the inside, and so crispy and delicious on the outside. The ramen was delicious, and I love that you have the option between thin or thick noodles. As far as the toppings go, I was hoping for just a little more of the veggies because of the ratio of noodles and broth. My favourite part at any ramen place is the soft boiled egg, and I was delighted that you get two halves here. All of the staff were very kind and attentive, and the entire place was spotless and inviting. I can definitely see this being a regular casual ramen stop in the future!
Pretty pretty darn good ! I lived in Vancouver for a while and this is great for in-land Ottawa. Broth, egg and meat were nicely done. Noodles almost perfect. Gyoza were very tasty and satisfying. Look forward to exploring the rest of the menu! Food : 4/5
I wish I could give this place a higher rating as the other two locations for sansotei here in Ottawa I ve absolutely adored. Unfortunately this restaurant has been awful. Their broth and ramen has a thick layer of grease/oil on it that is so thick it s visible in your food, and it s an excessive amount of oil that forms a separate layer above the broth. When I called in to ask about it as I hadn t gotten food with such low quality from the other two locations, the person who answered the phone was rude and short with me despite me asking very politely as I didn t want to start a fight with someone who s fault it wasn t. Beyond that, I decided to eat it anyways as sansotei is expensive and used to be my comfort food. Once again I was disappointed as I have been ill with food poisoning thanks to them. The Merivale and downtown Ottawa locations for sansotei are some of the most lovely restaurants I ve been in, the kanata one is managed and run by people who cannot and should not run a restaurant. If you re going to spend the money on sansotei, go the extra distance and get it from somewhere else. Thanks for the disappointment.
Was served our food and no one ever came back to check on us despite being the only table in the restaurant. Food was not good, ramen was covered in a thick coating of grease, the bamboo shoots tasted rotten.
Went for the first time yesterday, definitely hope to return soon. Food was stellar, hearty, and great portions. The chili oil wasnt super spicy, but chili pepper powder was also provided. Went with friends and Ive never seen the one take down food like that before. Staff were all friendly and helpful, fairly well-informed about allergens, and prompt to take orders. Food came out very quickly as well! Trying to convince some other friends to go with me when they visit so I can try a different bowl - had the special chicken bowl that was advertised, well worth it. Parking: Its shared parking with other stores in the lot so if its a busy day you might have trouble with parking. There were plenty of spots when we got there though.
The Tonkotsu Black is delicious and has good portions for the price. The Simple Set is a really good value if you are looking for a lunch that is fulfilling and delicious. The service is also great
Very consistent and delicious. I visit fairly often and its always a pleasant experience. If you want good value, the simple set is very hard to beat. Ive typically been served by Muafa and Marlie. Both have been incredibly welcoming and friendly.
Happy that Sansotei is now in Kanata. Food was good, as always. I recommend the tonkatsu black or the tomato ramen. The service was just ok. Server never came to refill our water. Note that the restaurant is quite small, with limited seating.
Service, below fair. Not attentive. Slow. Forgetful. Low effort. No smiles. Atmosphere worse with the very loud K-pop music and the restaurants food app constantly digging at the highest of volumes every 3 seconds. Acoustics, not great. Seating not the most comfortable. Tables are tiny. Not a lot of room. The food.. the fried chicken appy is a must.. perfect fried and golden, come out nice and hot. Gyoza with garlic and onion, good. Would get plain gyoza if I came back here. I love onion but it was a crazy amount. I kept most on the side for my ramen. Ramen.. not a lot of choice. I settled for the popular Black Shin which just means black garlic was added to the Shin. I brought my own cayenne pepper which is good as they kept forgetting to bring the chili oil. I never got it. Had to ask many times for soy sauce, cane at the end of the meal. The noodles themselves were good. I brought my leftover broth home, I never waste a drop! Maybe an ok place for take out but I would think twice about being seated in here.
Very pleasant servers and delicious food. The kitchen goes above and beyond to ensure quality. All sansotei s are similar in terms of deliciousness and quality of ingredients but this one has delivered some very delicious bowls to me when I needed it the most. Eating this ramen transports you to a different place! Tomato ramen my fav!!! I still have not had scallops that good, even in Japan.
Very welcoming, the place is really nice, the food is delicious fried chicken is one of my favorite. The everyone nice and very. It s also the only place that ask us our salt preference. :)
Delicious ramen Great vibes Polite staff Food : 5/5
Consistently good ramen!
The three of us agreed that food wasn t good, I took the vegetarian and it sticky, over seasoned, too spicy. The others chicken noodles wasn t good. I don t understand the line up on such a bad place
Great ramen, sides and drinks! The restaurant is clean and well kept. Service was fast but we visited during off peak hours. Friendly staff and it didnt take long for our food to come. Will be back again!
Delicious food! Prices are a bit high, but the soup is so flavorful that its worth every penny. Staff is great and food comes out fast. Portions are big enough that I have trouble finishing a bowl in one meal.
It is nice not having to go downtown to be able to eat Sansotei Ramen. Good selection of different ramen bowls, chicken and vegetarian options available. No liquor license sadly but the good food made up for that. Restaurant is small so it makes for a casual date or hangout place. Parking: Lots of parking in Kanata centrum
Oh the ramen here is so good! I came here with some work colleagues for the first time a couple weeks ago. I started out with the Japanese mango soda, and we all shared gyoza and zangi - both great but I particularly loved the zangi. I enjoy my spice so tried the spicy tantan, the broth was perfect to my liking and had just the right amount of spice. The service was fast, efficient and friendly. Will be back again for sure!
Ive been to both the Bank Street and Merivale locations many, many times and have been very satisfied. With my first visit to the Kanata location went like this: Great food, not so great customer service. We got a seat very quickly and they took our food order pretty much right away, but walked away as we went to order our drinks. Food was served quickly, but dropped off so fast we couldnt give them our drink order. It was busy, but not packed, so watching the servers all joke around behind he counter, laughing, joking around and hugging each other while ignoring their tables was quite irritating. Eventually another server (not ours) realized I was getting annoyed and took over the table, and his service was amazing. Overall the experience was weird, it was a hurry up and get the food out as soon as possible to turn over the table, but then completely ignore it. If that same server that helped us out at the end is there, I would go again... otherwise Ill take the longer drive to the two other locations.
My family and I love ramen so we decided to try this place after going to the movie theatre. Placed was packed and read great reviews so that s why we decided to go. I have absolutely no idea why they have such good reviews, my kids felt sick after eating the fried chicken, the ramen was tasteless. We were a family of 5 and they didn t serve us our food at the same time, they forgot to order my ramen, had to ask many times for forks for the kids Had to leave before getting my soup since one of my kids felt sick after eating there. Was charged for everything, no questions asked, no customer service really. My husband thought his soup was too salty and badly ate anything. We are not picky eaters so was very surprised of the food. I would not go back and do not recommend this place. It s too bad as we love supporting local businesses everywhere we go.
Food was delicious. The service was fast and the servers were great. Definitely much better atmosphere than the other locations.
Our go to spot now in kanata when we just want a quick bite! Always great service and delicious food!
Wow -- excellent quality and service. We usually visit this restaurants Bank St location which is hard to get into. The Kanata location offers the same quality.
the food is okay. first bite feels its good, but as you finish it you start to realize its just way too salty and oily. never mind the fact that it is twice the price as japans ramen... fried chicken taste more chinese than japanese (whose fc has quite a unique taste) and way too greasy. probably above average in ottawa, but not sure if i want to go again. legit ramen noodle base diy ramen probably comes out better. the flavors were strong, mixed, and ultimately ends up leaving you thirsty for water. not half as satisfying as good ramen in japan
Went to the Kanata location. A good experience with good dishes and service. If you enjoy Ramen, I would highly recommend this restaurant. There is limited seating; expect a wait at busy eating hours. The prices are very reasonable also. Vegetarian options: There is a small selection of vegetarian dishes. Parking: Sufficient parking in front of the building in a public parking area
We have been a regular at this place. The quality of food was consistently decent but our server tonight was horrible. Gave us attitudes and made faces (eye rolled) when our ESL friends were ordering and asking for clarifications. More importantly, this was what I originally got after ordering an extra version of shiitake mushrooms. Had to talk to another server (much nicer one) to get it fixed. Overall, would recommend the food, but hoping that costumer service could be better next time.
Never again stick to your local pho
The staff were nice, the food was bland. The broth was tasteless on both dishes ordered, the chicken seemed to have been boiled and the egg white was grey. When we mentioned that the food needed seasoning, we were given pepper oil which didnt help - it simply added heat to poorly seasoned food. When we asked about the dishes not being as they were described on the menu, the servers response was oh, they changed all the dishes last year but never updated the menus so they arent a correct description....?????
5 stars when they serve beer. But otherwise staff and food was excellent.
Service and food equally satisfying. Will definitely be back and try all their dishes.
I tried the new restaurant in kanata. So beautiful inside. Warm and comfortable! I ordered my favourite miso black. And of course it was beautiful and full of goodness. Loved it so much. I also ordered some dumplings omg almost fell off my chair Staff was very welcoming and seems to function great as a team in there. I love watching them all cook. Lol. Can t wait for my next trip out.
came in for a quick lunch break and ordered the spicy tan tan and gyoza. Food was delicious not too salty or oily just perfect on a cold day. Servers were great, super fast, friendly and attentive. Definitely coming back to try all their dishes.
Food was amazing, the architecture too and even the service!!!
Best ramen in Ottawa, great addition to Kanata
So happy they opened a location in Kanata! Amazing food and fabulous service! Will be back plenty of times :)
I ordered two bowls of noodles and had to wait for 15 minutes. I ordered them when no one was eating.
I am a fan of another Sansotei location. I can t wait to try this one with my family when we knew it is open. The Ramen was OK. Soup was very oily. The service was very disappointing. Ramen ready 15min after order, which is a bit long for a franchise ramen restaurant. The waitress didn t put the tray of ramen bowls correctly on the table so she almost dropped a bowl to the floor. My 9 year old son was a bit slow on his bowl. The waitress saw me and my wife finished, came to us and asked if we wanted the bill and to pack the ramen, when my son was literally still eating. I know the place is busy but you can t ask to pack it because kids eating slow. If you want people to spend less time on table, you should just try to serve the food faster instead. I hope it will become better in the future but currently it doesn t seem a nice place for family dining.
I tried the new chicken ramen it is so delicious the chicken breast is very tender. Highly recommend. Service was very friendly and efficient just waiting 15 mins for my ramen which didn t feel too long. Great place, definitely coming back.
I was slightly skeptical about trying this location within their first week of opening, but my experience was spot on. No warm-up kinks. The staff were busting their humps and some appeared to be from the Merivale location which I m most familiar with. For a soft-opening, the quality far exceeded my expectations and even some of my previous experiences at the more established locations. The wait for Kanata is over and was very worth it. Go now! P.s. I don t usually do takeout ramen, but the prep was great. Everything was still very warm-hot by the time it was home and eaten. Ask for the broth to be separated and combine at home.
Lovely!!!!
Soft open The place is able to seat approximately 30 people. Washrooms are still clean. Atmosphere: modern, place is still clean and new. Ordered: Zangi fried chicken, Spicy Tantan, Tonkotsu, and Tonkotsu+. Total Price: $58 without tax, $65.55 with tax Appetizer was well fried crispy with juicy center. Overall Ramen was good same, almost the same level as the Merivale location. Have been waiting for it to open in Kanata for a while. I am glad Kanata is getting more diverse food. Will be back! Things that can be improved: Greeting and leaving - It is harder to hear them. This could be due to multiple reasons such as a larger space, louder music, the kitchen is father back and the Merivale location is up front. Ajitsuke Tamago (Ajitama) - Maybe it was the one I got it wasnt as flavorful. It could have used a little longer in the marinade to add more flavor.
Great place to come and have a great bowl of soup!
The food is okay but the service is bad.
Ordered from this location on Uber Eats, it was great! I got the Shoyu Ramen and it was delicious - highly recommend. Food was hot and fresh, staff also kindly followed special instructions I added. Will definitely be ordering from here again!
We ordered 2 , Tonkotsu Black & chicken Shio! The chicken bowl was tasteless and has no flavour at all but the Tonkotsu Black is way better in terms of flavour.. Food
We are delighted that our favourite ramen restaurant has opened a location in Kanata! We have been multiple times and our favourites tonkotsu and tonkotsu black have been consistently excellent. Same with the gyoza appetizers. Nice decor and excellent service. We ve had the same server for our two visits and she was exceptionally friendly and attentive. They have been very busy since opening so don t be fooled by the empty photo of the interior, we arrived right at open to avoid the rush!
Finally a ramen restaurant in Kanata! The Ramen was great, the thin noodles are so good! We tried the Tonkotsu, the plain ramen ($12) that comes with a bowl of rice and diced pork meat, everything was excellent. The spicy tantan was very spicy . Great portions and presentation. The place is a bit noisy, it was a busy Friday evening.
The soup is pretty good Will come back. Food
Good ramen nice atmosphere.
It was my first time trying ramen, lovely atmosphere and beautiful restaurant. Food was great, everything came out very timely and we had our drinks refilled many times throughout the evening. Staff was professional and very helpful when I asked them their opinion. We got the shoyu, and had gyoza and beef and rice on the side. Definitely recommend for anyone that wants to try out this restaurant.
Ramen!!! Finally, an amazing Ramen place to eat in Kanata! I am giving it a full 5 stars, as I would change nothing. They were down a few people tonight, and the rest of the employees kicked butt. It was busy, and the service was still so fast, the food was hot and delicious, and it felt like home cooking at its finest. The only time i could compare this type of ramen to was in Vancouver. The flavour was spot on, and again, everything was delicious! Dietary restrictions: I cant have Mango, and they had no issues with offering alternatives when it was in a dish or gave alternative suggestions. Kid-friendliness: We seen many kids come in with parents, and they have high chair availability as well.
Its good
The same sansotei I love but this time it tasted better for some reason. Egg and pork were better than the merivale location
I m so happy they decided to open a location in Kanata. I fell in love with their ramen when I lived Nepean and it s the same here!
I got the miso black ramen, broth was rich and flavourful.
My first time going here for dinner last night. Had the Chicken Shio and my guy had the Tonkotsu Black. Both were delicious. Will definitely be returning for their delicious ramen. I want to try each one. Also, loved their playlist. I left very happy.
My first experience eating Ramen and Im glad it was at Sansotei Ramen. Recently opened in Kanata, a fantastic atmosphere and staff make the experience great. Plus the Ramen was delicious.
The atmosphere of the place is great, love the decor - it would be nice if there was a sitting area for when youre waiting for your takeout, but the ambiance is great. The staff is great as well, service can be slow but its not for lack of effort on the staff, those guys are always running around like mad! The ramen has always been great here, although the side dishes have been disappointing at times.
One of the few decent restaurants in Kanata.
So happy there s one in Kanata now! Food is always amazing and service is great. Experienced both Dine in and take out. I always order the Tonkotsu Black Ramen and some gyouza! Also Called in in advance for take out and it was ready when I came to pick it up and Was given a nice reusable bag which is a plus! It s always a Gochisousama deshita here at Sansotei!!
Disappointed because the price on the menu (Miso Black Ramen) did not represent the price on the bill. We pointed this out to the server to just be told the price went up and they did not update the menu It would have been nice to be communicated when we ordered and not when we got the bill. Food was good but would have chose a different dish based on pricing. Left us with a weird experience overall compared to both Bank St and Merivale Sansotei locations.
Tonkotsu ramen is unbelievably delicious
The fact that there is a decent ramen place in Kanata deserves five stars in itself but the ramen was delicious and was prepared with the love it deserves. The service was friendly and not over the top: just as it should be. I had the chicken ramen and my wife had the vegetarian one and both were quite content with the meal. Give it a try and support more such businesses in Kanata so we dont have to take the 417!
I loved the food as always but the service was the slowest in compare to the other Sansotei s restaurants. Waited more than 30 minutes.
Amazing vegetarian ramen! Unfortunately it is not too muslim friendly as all the soups are pork broth. However, there was an amazing server that tried so hard to replace it with chicken broth so I appreciate his effort! He was very attentive to our needs and knew exactly what we can t eat even before we said anything. The indoor décor gave an authentic Japanese ramen shop feel and the few options that were halal were extremely delicious and presented beautifully. Service was extremely friendly, helpful and quick, we really did not wait a long time. Would definitely recommend and I hope to see more halal options in the future!
Love Sansotei Ramen, and the new Kanata location rocks!
Best ramen Ive had in yeaaaars!! So fresh, flavorful, authentic and thr service was amazing! Its so close to my work it may be a new hot spot for us at the office!!
Fantastic good, friendly and attentive service, definitely coming again and again!
Absolutely delicious!
Came here for dinner today. Interior is nicely decorated and modern. Place is clean and kid friendly. They had dishes and cutlery for kids. We enjoyed our meal. Food was hot and delicious. Staff are attentive and kind. Will definitely be coming back.
Good noodles and nice interior atmosphere
I can give credit for the decor BUT the ramen itself ranks way on the bottom compared to others in Ottawa. Broth is way too complex and the chashu smells pretty awful. Bowls are also served flooded with greasy broth, didn t bother moving an inch where it was left on table. Staff needs to be organized it was the longest wait I ever had after ordering for a bowl of ramen. Again, nice interior though
Went on a Friday night around 5. By 5:30 the place was full! They don t have a ton of tables so it wouldn t be a great place for a large group. The tonkotsu never disappoints! Kid-friendliness: They had ikea bowls & cutlery for the kids. Plenty of high chairs. And what kid doesn t love noodles!
I was super excited to try the ramen here as there aren t many places to get ramen in the west end. I was quite bummed when I found out there is no vegetarian ramen option or even a seafood option (all the broth is made with pork or chicken). I had to get the vegetarian noodle bowl, which was good! My mom really enjoyed her ramen. More veggie options would be nice, please!! :) Vegetarian options: Only 2 vegetarian options: Veggie noodle bowl or a salad A ramen option for vegetarians (made with vegetable/miso broth) would be a great addition to the menu.
Enjoyed a succulent meal!
Its very convenient to eat at Kanata. The taste is good, but the soup is a bit salty for me. The service is good.
Soooo delicious!
There was no line up, service was fast and the food was delicious
Ordered take out on a weekday dinner, took around 20mins. They forgot to separate the noodles w soups, luckily the noodles are still tasty, kid likes the shouyu a lot, and the portion is good for kids. Zangi is juicy and crispy, we ordered it every time. However the soups are a bit too salty that every time after eating feel so thirsty.
Pretty for a place specializing in ramen, but its for those who like ramen. I didnt like one
Best Ramen noodles in Ottawa ! The new location has a great decor too
We told the server that it was our first time eating here. She didnt hesitate; she told us to order the Tonkatsu Black Ramen. We took her suggestion as well as the Zangi appetizer. The chicken and the ramen were rich and wonderful. We simply loved our experience at Sansotei Ramen! Parking: Busy parking lot. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair ramp nearby and the restaurant is on the ground floor.
