Harvey's in Kanata

Went here with my wife and children last night on December 15 and there was a male worker dressed in female yoga pants which is completely unprofessional in a work environment especially one that is meant for families. Kid-friendliness: Do not recommend.

Cooked food and touched food (Buns, cheese and frozen patties) without any gloves or washing hands, not friendly employees either

The last couple of times I ordered from this Harvey s a few months ago, the experience was pretty good. However, on June 4th, I ordered a poutine an hour before closing. While I understand that employees might have been tired, I am paying money for decent food. Unfortunately, the fries in my poutine were undercooked, and the chicken on top was sparse, with only 2-3 pieces. I was unable to eat it and will not be coming here again.

Filthy, dirty, dumpy, not clean, not handling food properly. Avoid it. Low standards.

Staff were great. Soda drinks are not watered down. The employees working late make the best quality burgers of any Harvey s.

Ive been to this location numerous times and always got good service. But today was not the same. There was nobody in line (around 5:30pm). We waited 5 mins to be acknowledged by the staff and nobody took the time to let us know that someone would be there to take our order. There was two people garnishing the burgers, one person sitting at the drive-thru looking at us and the other person garnishing the brother for drive-thru. At this point, my girlfriend and I decided to leave since none of the staff wanted to serve us. I guess our business is not good for them. This kind of situation never happens when one of the managers works there. Every time Ive been there hes always on the grill cooking the burgers. Knowing this is the type of service that this location offers, I will not be going back. To top it off we had dinner at a different restaurant because Harveys I apparently not interested on serving us.

Staff was friendly and food was ok. If I was the manager of this place, I would EMERGENCY clean the place, dining area and washrooms included, and EMERGENCY get a plumbing service to fix the mens room. And make EMERGENCY sure that the washrooms have handwashing soap.

Worst experience I have had in a long time. I was trying to order food through the drive thru and was appalled when one of the workers came on moaning while I was ordering. As another boy continued to take my order, he came on again and continued to make inappropriate noises while I ordered. I decided to leave the drive thru as it seemed as though the kids working didn t want to serve me and I decided to take my business else where. Saturday, April 6 around 8:40pm

April 10 2024, 8:00 pm, I was the only person at the drive thru, the attendant said wait a minute . After waiting 5 minutes I drove to the pickup window. She took my order which was delivered in a timely fashion. The burger was put together in a manner that it had to be eaten with a fork and a bib. Onion rings were good. The first attempt to tap payment didn t go through so a second attempt was completed.. When asked for a record of the declined payment I was told a paper confirmation was not available. Staff not well trained in customer service. Very bad experience.

Edit: Same issue occurred where order was missing items, but this time confirmed the full order before leaving. Despite forgetting about two of things in my order (I am also at fault for not thoroughly checking), the guys there were working hard to try and complete everything and communicate despite how tired they were. They did their best.

The guy taking customer orders was yelling at another female staff. She was standing 10 feet away and he yelled her name and told her to get over here, screaming we need you and then he stormed off and took a break. Bathrooms were disgusting and made me gag. Won t be dining there again.

How unsanitary do you have to be for me to find a 6-in long hair in my food? I was there today January 30th at about 5:00 to buy supper on my way home and I go to eat my food and find this long hair in my food are the workers not supposed to be wearing hair nets and such? Ive been trying to contact a store for the last 30 minutes and nobody knows how to answer the phone Its quite disgusting and I want to refund.

Carleton Place Harveys is very clean with good service and a great deal, 1 veggie burger and 1 regular burger for $8. Vegetarian options: Great veggie burger

Might say open till 11pm, but wouldnt make a burger at 10:40pm because it was too close to closing time. Bad attitude from the staff. Never going to this location again. Edit: I filled out a complaint on Harveys website, and to my surprise, the general manager reached out to apologize and indicate they are making changes to address the issues raised. I honestly didnt expect a response at all, and while it remains to be seen if the changes will be effective, the gesture is appreciated. I will give this location another chance.

Good food, good value. Friendly staff. I live out of town so I only go there every 2 or 3 months. Ive noticed the last two times there that a manager or supervisor scolds and yells at staff in front of guests. I get that he may be perfect but give these kids a break they are trying. If they are doing something wrong either pull them aside or wait until later. NOT COOL.

Parking: Parking is limited but the food is amazing

Just had a negative experience here. Burger wasn t prepared correctly with the condiments I asked but I only realized after I had taken a bite. I went back through the drive thru and explained my situation to which I was given a small container of the missing sauce. I asked if they could just remake my burger as I ordered and I was told we don t do that here. I get that it s not the end of the world but I did pay to have it made a certain way. The whole situation bummed me out and I won t be coming back anytime soon.

This location was clean and fast. Most importantly, they were able to accommodate my daughters soy allergy by swapping the Angus burger bun with a wrap. I just saw a young man bring food for an elderly lady with a cane. Well done.

Just the worst experience Harveys. Way to ruin a meal. We ordered online for pickup through drive through. What a mistake. We spent 30 minutes stuck there. We got to the window finally and our food was just sitting there. Asked if the food is cold already and they said it should be warm still. No. It was cold as can be. The worst burger with soggy bread and cold meat. The worst fries and poutine too. All cold. On top of all this they didnt give us our kids meal toy. And they didnt give us our sauce for the chicken strips. And worse they didnt give us the 4 pies we paid for. We tried calling and they didnt bother answering. Thanks for absolutely nothing Harveys. If I could give you 0 stars I would.

Stopped in for a Quick lunch while we were in the area. The store was clean compared to most fast food places. Tables were wiped down. Condiment and pop area were clean. Staff were friendly enough. I m not one to write negative reviews since I ve been a manager in a fast food restaurant for 5 years. But last week I came here, got a bacon cheeseburger. No bacon came on it. I brushed it off, mistakes happen. But I was still hungry and the burger was delicious, so I went through a second time. I politely let the order taker know that my last burger didn t have any bacon on it even though that s what I ordered and paid for. At this point I didn t want a free burger or refund, but just wanted to remind them to make sure it s on there. Well. Sure enough, it wasn t. I took one bite and realized so went through a THIRD time. I was still polite, but this time asked for a replacement that was made correctly. I got to the window, and the gentleman at the window was helpful and polite, but the girl working was practically yelling I PUT BACON ON THAT. Well no, actually you didn t. I offered to give the burger back for proof and was denied. I understand being frustrated with rude customers, I ve been there. But I wasn t rude in the slightest, just wanted my burger made right.

Dont expect the half stoned night crew to understand basic concepts like no cheese , or mayonnaise . Or anything basic about making a hamburger smfh.

I honestly dont make a habit of writing bad reviews, but todays situation was terrible. I wish I would have taken a photo. The restaurant was FILTHY. All the floors, even in the washroom, were sticky. Counters (behind the glass) was covered in crumbs and debris. The till area was actually DIRTY, not food dirty, but like thick with dust and dirt. The ketchup dispenser was empty and the area around it was also very dirty. If I wasnt starving and in the middle of moving, with very limited time to spend, I would have absolutely gone elsewhere. The cleanliness of the whole dinning room, restaurant, and washrooms was really appalling.

Burgers had been waiting for a customer for too long. Not hot enough, not as tasty as usual. I left about half of mine.

Every time I order, I order the same burger. Mayo and 6 pickles. I say six because on more than one occasion they only ever give me 3. I was told by staff to say six if I want extra. On numerous occasions I ve had to go back to the restaurant to request more pickles. They even have the nerve to hand them to me in paper rather than in a burger. This is the only Harvey s that refuses to give me 6 slices of pickles considering I don t put anything else on my hamburger. Not impressed.

Beyond upset. Store states it is open to 12 for drive through. Doors locked at 10pm. Being a long hall driver I parked my vehicle as it would not fit through the drive thru and walked up just like every other fast food restaurant. I tapped on the glass and they refused to serve me stating we do not accept walk ups absolutely ridiculous. I continued on driving with no food because they cannot provide service unless your sitting in your car at the window. Lost my service and my money tonight at 10:32pm. I will ensure that every long hall driver knows that they are not welcome at your restaurant after your doors are locked.

I ve been here probably a dozen times in the past year, usually early evening. Every time the food has been good to excellent. This is easily the best Harvey s location I ve been to. For the people who complain about the drive through being a bit slow, I ll take that for fresh food that is well put together.

Usually this is the BEST Harvey s in the city! But tonight they forgot my drink. I order a large Buffalo Chicken Poutine with a Redbull slushie. But when we got home we realized they forgot my drink and didn t add the extra chicken I PAYED extra for. I ve been calling them since 10 to let them know so I can grab it next time; I know the employees haven t left but I guess answering the phone is just too much to ask for these guys. Recently had a very bad experience here with unprofessional staff. It was late at night and the employees closed early (about 5-10 min early) and left several customers in drivethru with orders unfulfilled, without any apology, explanation, or notice to the customers. I guess they were tired and really wanted to go home?

Had awesome service from Maddi at the drive thru. I would say this to the owner, the staff seemed a little taxed . By not having enough staff on you re pinching pennies and your staff has to work harder. Never trade great service for saving on labour costs. You re lucky to have the staff you do madam/sir.

Just went to Harveys at the Kanata Centrum. Worst experience Ive ever had! First there were two kids walking around behind the counter doing basically nothing and made me wait almost 10 minutes before serving me! Our food was finally ready and The teen that was putting the toppings on the hamburger was half way through fixing one of the burger and took a leisurely stroll to the back to get pickles, then stood talking to another staff member while he took the wrap off the container, then took the empty container out, moved what pickles were left to another stations container; then put the empty container on the counter in the back! I finally asked him to finish fixing the hamburger before it got cold! The burger was siting half dressed for at least 5 min! Oh sorry! Was what I got! Then when I finally got to the table I realized I had two onion rings and one fry! I ordered 2 fries and 1 onion ring! When I went back up with them the remark was well thats what you ordered! I said no, and repeated what I ordered and the response was well I cant be responsible if the person who took your order got it wrong!!!!! I said fine, just give me what I ordered please! I was to,d that s what I ordered! Another staff came up and apologized and said they would fix it. So then I had to wait for them to make fries snd they took the rings I had ordered away! My husband was finished eating by the time I got everything! Unbelievable! Absolutely do NOT recommend this Harvey s!

My husband and i were just in the centrum location and witnessed a very young employee deal with two difficult customers in a row. He never lost his cool. Even when the milkshake maker wasnt working he stayed calm and collected. The whole staffed worked together as a solid team. We were very impressed. Good job every one. And to the young man behind the counter your doing a great job.

Okay waited at the window for 20 minutes. Very disorganized. Was asking For money for the next order to then realizing they haven t even given us are food yet. No body around the window to really ask what is going on. When I got the food the fries were cold and they forgot to put the sauces or even napkins in the bag.

Waited 18 mins in the drive through with only 2 people ahead of me. When I finally go to the window I was not greeted or told sorry for the wait. I was just told my total. I then had a hockey stick pushed towards me. It immediately tapped my card giving me no other choice. There was a note saying NO TAP on the machine. I said well it looks like the tap went through as the machine said approved The staff member then said Yeah now our machine will crash and you just held up the whole restaurant for 3 mins! He then handed me my food and said nothing else. Definitely not the service I remember from Harveys. BRUTAL!

It was not the first time to order in the Harvey s at this location. But it was the worst ever experience. I was there between 8:30-9:00pm last night. I found the staffs started to do the closing. I ordered one double cheese combo and three junior burgers for my kids. When I got home and opened my food, I was shocked. All the burgers were just only one piece of meat with a little bit sauce. The meals I ordered before, the meat was freshly grilled and juicy. The vegetables were well matched. However the meal I ordered last night looked like leftovers , and I ordered a double cheese , I don t know why there is only one piece of meat in it. It didn t have any vegetables to go with it. So is it possible to lower the quality of the food just because its closing? I spent $20 to buy something like leftover burgers, and the meat was hard and dry, so I had to throw them all in the trash. It was a very bad experience. I hope everyone pays attention to ordering food at night. If there is no quality food, it is better to be hungry

We wanted to eat in, but the dining area was closed due to staffing issues. Okay, thats fine. We go through drive-thru, order FRIES w GRAVY because my partner had been craving it for days. We get home, no gravy. Ive called 5 times now this evening, since we ordered and not once have they answered their business line. You KNOW what its like to be let down when youre craving something. They let us down then wouldnt even pick up the phone to rectify it. 1-star service for sure.

I went to this restaurant, and came back with a very disappointment and bad experience. I was waiting for them to serve me, then the manager of this store asked me for the order number. I told her the order number. I thought she did not hear me, then I repeated the order number. When I repeated myself, then she got very mad. She said angrily that she could read. I did not have to repeat it to her again . I told her that of course you can read. She shouted in front of other customers. She is a very unprofessional, disrespectful and an angry person. Now Im afraid to go to this place. I do not recommend anyone to go there. Very strange customer service. Its Harveys. The staff were pretty friendly this time around, and they were reasonably quick. While we were there it was clean, but I think you roll the dice on what you get when you go to a fast food chain.

My mom and I had a very unpleasant experience today with Patty the manager. This is not the first time we have been disrespected by staff at this location. We both agreed we will never return to Earl Grey drive again. There are thankfully better options in the area

Harveys KANATA centrum is a special place for me, their burgers have this little special thing about them that makes them different from any other Burger place. The staffs are very friendly and nice. I recommend everyone to think local and consume Canadian!

Poor service, and poor staff engagement with the customer, they only focus on drive thru, me and my friend had to wait around 30 minutes to get 2 chicken wraps. Also need to work on cleaning their restaurant too, and few staff members not following the covid guidelines. and I asked the cashier to scan the scene point from my phone, and without permission she grabbed my phone from my hand which is an unacceptable behavior.

I ordered nugget combo today. It should be 6 nuggets but I got only 4. Only 2 of them are regular size. Other 2 nuggets are half size of regular one. I call them but no one take the call. When you order nuggets, you better check in front of them before you leave.

Ordered uber eats from here after a night out with friends, I was so excited to have my favourite wrap and onion rings i the world just to have them give the wrong order ton the uber eats driver. As someone who deals with uber eats in the restaurant industry regularly I know how simple this is even when two drivers show up at once. This shows an utter lack care for their orders and I am extremely disappointed that my extreme hunger was met with utter disappointment. Do better.

I ordered a hamburger with double lettuce and onions at the drive thru. When I got home, there were maybe 5 slivers of lettuce and 3 pieces of onions. Its so frustrating because I couldnt get it replaced because I was already home.

Ill give five stars just for that alone because there are a lot of places that dont give priority to customer service so its refreshing when one does! Also, I really love the onion rings. Do not go to this location if you re tight on time. Sat at the drive thru speaker for a full five minutes (no one was at the speaker in front of me and I said a few polite hello? s after a couple of minutes has passed). Thought maybe the speaker was broken or something so I pulled around being the last car (two cars were ahead of me) and waited a full five more minutes without any movement at all, so I backed up and left. Definitely understand that sometimes there are staff shortages or things like that, but to not say, be with you in a couple of minutes isn t really respectful to customers. I won t go back to this location again.

The 1 star is based off our experience using the app to order with this location. We placed 2 orders at almost the exact same time. Got to the store 5 minutes later and asked for our order(s) from the cashier, he said he would look into getting our orders. However I could see order 1 was ready, waited 15 minutes and then heard the manager tell another employee not to make order 2 until the people show up... needless to say we waited 30 minutes and order number 1 was cold(and messed the order up). Usually this location is ok but do not use the app to order unless you want to lose your ****. App doesnt have coupons to just scan at the store and can only leave feedback on the order immediately after placing the order.

Good for a late snack/meal as theyre the only restaurant besides McDonalds that is open in the wee hours of the morning.

Due to the new way of living, caused by the pandemic, the only way to get your food is through their drive thru and the people working at this harveys are going above and beyong, to serve multiple hungry people coming in to get their fav food. Sign at the drive thru says open til 8 yet this store starts ignoring orders at 7:50. They wont even acknowledge that a car is there...they look the other way and keep cleaning up. Ibe experienced this twice.in a week! If you are.open til 8 then be open! P.S. I tried to call and they dont answer the phone either!

I only rate one star because it wont allow you to give zero stars. Staff basically called my elderly mother-in-law a lier because their debit system froze. She ended up getting charged twice for an over $50 order. The guy at the cash says well come back in when management can resolve it ABSOLUTELY outrageous. We live over 1.5 away, I know the staff had no way to know that but the correct response would have been sorry about that, let me call my manager to get your refund. It took nearly 20 minutes for them to figure out what was wrong with the cash. And senior staff just kind of watched as the person serving us struggled with the system to begin with I will never return to this location and Id suggest unless you want piss poor service and to potentially get robbed of your money you not go to this location either.

This location desperately needs an express pick up section for online/Uber orders. It makes no sense for an Uber driver to have to wait behind all those people waiting to order while the food is sitting behind the counter getting cold. Most places have dedicated express pick up areas. Management needs to step in and fix this.

This is the best harveys ever i love it so much the drinks are super cold and refreshing and the beef burger and the chicken burger is nice a juicey and the fries and onion rings are always hot and fresh and crunchy. this is my second time going there and they never dissapoint.

I love Harveys, really I do. I have, however been disappointed by this locations attention to detail, with my drive thru orders. Been twice, for lunch, this month. First visit I got diet coke instead of iced tea, Second visit I got ranch dressing instead of plum sauce for my chicken strips Wont be going back to this location.
