One of the waitresses at Pür and Simple provided me with terrible customer service today. When I paid without tipping, the waiter said, in a very rude manner, that tipping is required in Canada and that she would educate her kid to always tip. She also added that if I didnt tip, her pay would be reduced. She walked away nodding her head left and right. Being a 12th grader, I shouldnt have had to deal with such a disrespectful waiter.

Rhea was so sweet and attentive, always making sure our experience was good and keeping our coffees full and hot!

The food is pretty good, though the space is sometimes cramped when it s busy on the weekends. We ve gotten helped by Selina many times since starting to eat here. She s always friendly, and she s so on it! If something doesn t come out right, she s fast to correct the error. We really appreciate the effort she puts into her work :) Dietary restrictions: They offer keto options. Wheelchair accessibility: There s plenty of space for wheelchairs. The entrance is accessible, as well.

I m visiting from Toronto and had the best brunch everrrrr!!!! from service with Sonia, absolutely welcoming and sweet to delicious and hot food, I m in love!

Sonia, our server, did an absolutely amazing job serving our group of 16! We were changing seats the whole time so that we could chat with everyone in our group and she still got all our orders and bills correct. She was so friendly and patient. The food was excellent. Relatively new breakfast and lunch place in Barhaven. Given the local competition for breakfast any newcomer needs to be outstanding and not just good. The spicy hollandaise sauce was a nice option for the Chicago eggs Benedict and the accompanying potatoes were yummy. I wish the coffee was free with breakfast, but that s rare at most places.

My teen and I went for breakfast here this past Sunday. It was our first time and I can easily say we will be repeat customers! Connor was our server and he was fabulous! Very friendly and upbeat. I didnt know what I wanted and he helped me come up with a great breakfast. Connor is the best server Ive had in years. The food and atmosphere were great, but Connor really made it a full experience!

Was promised the grill was cleaned to make my gluten free crepe with fruit . Based on the previous amazing reviews for safe gluten free , is the only reason I even attempted to eat here .The huge pile of puke in a gas station parking lot on Hunt club road determined that was a lie . $68 for 2 crepes and 2 lattes with $34 of it splattered on the asphalt , my boots and a horrible end to what was to be a great day with my sister in law . Instead Ill have vertigo, brain fog , bloat and feeling like Ive been hit by a truck for 72hrs. Wonder why I have trust issues ! This was around 230 on Sunday Nov.10th for reference.

The food looks good but DO NOT order takeout. The ownership has over extended themselves and cannot keep up with take out orders. Waited 40 minutes from the time their website said to pick up my order at and had to get a refund as I wasn t even offered an ETA of how much longer it would be. Watched some food delivery persons have orders cancelled due to the long wait as well. Can t speak to the food as I had to go to McDonalds. I also found the customer service subpar and the paid staff were left to pick up where the owner or head manager should have shown face.

The food is regular( frozen potatoes) and dry eggs I have been in better and sheaper places

Not the stellar experience it used to be. The menu options have changed significantly. I used to always order the beef me up Scotty which is gone from the menu. Nothing on the menu comparable at this moment. Hard to find something exciting on there.

The food was good but it had a stressed atmosphere. Our waitress Kelley was running around frantically and throwing our food down onto the table. The overall experience made it seem that the restaurant did not plan for the volumes even though we were told the volumes were always equally large on a Sunday. Not the best or worst breakfast experience.

Had my first visit a few months ago and the experience was great. Came back today and I was blown away. Very friendly server (Thank you Brittany) Excellent meal, Chicago eggs Benedict was delicious and the P&S potatoes dropped my jaw. We also got the seasonal Apple Cinnamon French toast, DELICIOUS. For drinks we had the pumpkin pie latte and double chocolate Macchiato. My partner had some of my macchiato and said it was the best mocha type drink I have ever ordered. Hats off to the franchisee!

Loved the food so much at the Fredericton location we looked up where else there are stores and planned to visit Kanata location then and there. Did not disappoint. Jacqui, was great, the food was excellent. The buzz of the place was a bit noisy for me, but other than that, great experience.

Food was great, but did not appreciate the service After being seated we were there 20-25 minutes or so and had not been approached by the waitstaff. I went to the hostess to point this out. After that the waitress came right away and was very attentive from then on. However, we did not appreciate the sneaky upselling of products without being told. I ordered chicken and waffles and was given the choice between 3 syrups but there was no indication there was an additional $3.5 charge for on of the options (real maple syrup). My girlfriend also chose the same for her meal. After ordering a latte she was asked if she wanted a bowl, and again was not told that it cost extra. So we ended up with almost $10 extra on the bill we were not expecting. I am okay with the fact you get charged for these things, but im not okay with the sneakiness of making patrons think these are free options and not upsells. I would also think that after our initial experience of not getting served for 20-25 minutes that comping maple syrup or coffee would be a nice gesture, but thats just me. Other than that, atmosphere was great, food was delicious and staff was friendly.

Very friendly staff and manger/owner came to our table to say hi. Great job checking up on the tables. Even smarter idea to hold the door because it was too busy. Food portions are so big and the price is very reasonable. Only thing negative i would say is there needs to be some kind of explanation to why you would up charge syrup. When i asked for the difference the server did not know. Its a selling point that was missed out. Overall great place

Best breakfast place ever!

I came home to Ottawa on Friday from Nova Scotia and on this day I asked my parents to a breakfast of my treat. My father chose to opt out because we have eaten at 3 restaurants since I came home for a vacation. Instead I took my mother on a breakfast date to spent quality time with. We were greeted and served by Sonia. He smile was awesome, her personality was very pleasant and her service was great. Im glad I took my mother for breakfast!!! Thanks Sonia again! Andrew Foster

We get excellent service from Jose and very frash and good cook food. I highly recommend trying their food to you as well. This is genuinely my favourite spot for breakfast/brunch. I m a regular so I ve seen this place at its busiest, at its slowest, and when it s steady - their service is consistently good throughout. The kitchen staff, exceeds expectations every time aka the food is BOMB always - servers are so so so sweet, they recognize me and know my order by heart, I don t even open the menu LOL. I ve been to other locations of the franchise but idk something about this one just hits different. 10/10 recommend the Oh La La crepe (with extra hazelnut and English cream). My happy place fr.

This is by far the best breakfast spot in the area. After searching for 6 years for a good breakfast place in Kanata, we ve finally found it. The smash burger and eggs Benedict were fantastic. The fruit bowl was plentiful. The menu is fantastic with tons of both sweet and savoury options. The hostess,service staff and management were both attentive and friendly. This is officially our new breakfast spot. A must try at Kanata Centrum.

Simple & Study atmosphere Must try Freshly Sqused Orange juice that was the best in Business. Their crispy chicken burger with hot fries and Mexican wrap with fries everything is just awesome . The food is excellent. By far, the most flavourful breakfast food in Kanata. However, I have been here 3 times and all 3 times the service has been awfully slow. To take over 45 minutes for 2 omelettes to be served should not be acceptable, especially when half the restaurant is empty.

I had a very uncomfortable experience at this restaurant due to the host/server. He never wrote anything down so had to come back like three times to ask us what we ordered to drink, He not only purposely gave us the wrong drinks but when asked he said wow I cant believe you noticed. I asked him to return it and he rolled his eyes as if getting me the right drink was an inconvenience. When my order came I received burnt chicken and the waiter was giggling as if he was aware, it felt like I was being singled out for sending the drink back. When our bill came I didnt notice at first but I was charged for potatoes which came with my meal so when I asked the waiter why I was overcharged they said it was easier to put your friends fries on your tab cause they got fruit* As if its okay to charge people on items they did not get and not say anything. I would not recommend this restaurant if you are looking for good service as the host/server is passive aggressive and does not care about providing good service.

Went to this place on such high Google review rating, low and behold 95% of the reviews are not earned but asked to be left by servers by scanning a qr code with their name on it. (Thats why every review calls out a specific server) Kinda gives false hope to unsuspecting customers thinking they will be getting something great when in reality its no different or better than Cora or other breakfast chains along this line. Just as pricey as well. The only difference is I guess those other breakfast places earn their reviews. Sorry it was nothing spectacular as the 4.7 indicated upon my visit.

Ok service and clean place, but very little meats in the meals compared to the opening and way worth compared to the prior place (Egg style). Not worth the increased prices at all. And this is not going to be my familys favourite place going forward.

Despite reading great reviews, when my family and I visited yesterday, we experience very poor service. Upon entering, no one greeted us at the front for approximately 10 minutes. Eventually, a lady approached and asked how many people were in our party but did not take any action to seat us. Instead, she continued attending other tables. After waiting for 15 minutes with no further assistance, we made the decision to leave.

Popular place so it is hit or miss if you walk in. I had booked a table for 8:45am as they don t allow reservations after 9am. The menu is great! Lots of different options for breakfast; if you want waffles but also want hashbrowns, they have an option for you! The food is really good, and the service is what you d expect for a morning rush. I wouldn t say the service was delayed however it wasn t quick. The location of the place is a little tucked away in Centrum but is easy to find. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice breakfast spot! Parking: Parking is in the main parking lot for multiple stores/restaurants so there is plenty. The restaurants is a small walk from the parking lot.

Brittany (short brown hair with glasses) was SO GOOD, so nice and kind, checked in at the right time and made sure to have our food right. Food was so good came fast and hot! So pretty in the place a little loud but that just says that it s great! Love this place, AND it s gluten free. End of the story brittany was awesome!!

I went to order through the menu online, only to find out that because I have Celiac, I cant order a single item on this menu (see attached image). Its great (for your company) to have a disclaimer to avoid being liable, but the fact that you cant guarantee that a bowl of fruits, yogurt, or plain eggs wont have gluten is ridiculous. If bakeries can do it, you can do it. You just have to train your staff to be careful/mindful of it. Unbelievable.

The service was very slow; I waited around 30 minutes for my food during the weekday. There were no forks or spoons on the table, and a few flies were buzzing around for an hour. I wont be coming back.

I had a chance to visit Pur and Simple restaurant in Kanata. Place was clean, organised, staff friendly and polite. We even met the owner of the place who was very pleasant and nice to us. Me and my girlfriend shared fruit crepe which turns out to be closest replica of good tasting crape from Europe. I would definitely recommend this place if you looking to good meal or sweets.

We stopped by for breakfast before our movie. It was nice. Food was well made and tasty. Brittany was certainly above average. Ill be back for sure.

Recently ate breakfast here and although I found the place quite noisy with the high ceilings and hard floors, when it started to fill with people it seemed to get better. Jacqui was are server and she was great, she has the same sense of humour as my husband so it made for a very enjoyable visit. Jacqui was quick with our food and was sure to return to ask if everything was ok (something I have found many restaurants lacking in these days) the food was delicious and the price very fair. A gem in the heart of Kanata centrum. The ambiance is modern and chique. The service is friendly and quick. And the star of the show the food. I ordered philly skillet with spicy hollandaise sauce. Tbh wasnt sure about the spicy aspect of the hollandaise (spicy is addition of siracha). Was I in for a surprise, siracha enhanced the flavor of the overall dish to the next level and beyond. Fresh ingredients cooked to perfection, topped with the excellent service. We visited Pur & Simple this morning for breakfast and I was very impressed! The fruit bowl had a wonderful variety of different fruits. Everyone really enjoyed their breakfasts! I will definitely be back! Thank you!

I went in for breakfast this morning. My server Jose was so friendly and welcoming! He gave us amazing service the entire time and was more than happy to help us with anything we needed. We will definitely be coming back!!

My girlfriend had previously written a 5 star review for this place, and we ve come here several times, however after our latest experience we will not be back. My girlfriend ordered the Avo Lox and when she opened the poached eggs, one of them was uncooked. She did not want to eat the meal after that, all she ate was the side of potatoes. She didn t even take a single bite of the avo lox. We could not get the attention of the waitress, but when the waitress finally came back to the table, she only brought the bill (we didn t even ask for it yet) and there was no inquiry as to why the meal was left untouched. Also it s a little inconvenient that she brought the vill when my girlfriend was in the bathroom. We paid for the meal in full, but it s very disappointing that my girlfriend left hungry and disgusted by the uncooked food. This use to be one of our favourite go-to breakfast joints, but we will not be back after this bad experience. Also a suggestion - you should change the photo of the avo lox in your menu because it looks nothing like the dish that shows up.

Drove here from Barrhaven. Walked in at 2:15 and was told they stopped serving at 2 so shouldn t their closing time be 2?? I wouldn t want to be that person that cruises in at 10 minutes to close expecting service, but we didn t expect any issue with showing up 45 minutes before close. And nowhere is it listed on their website (that I could find) that says they stop serving people at 2. Just keep this in mind

My husband and I came to eat here for the first time and arrived at 2:15. Google maps and their website says they close at 3, but when we walked in we were told service stops at 2. As a former server I understand ending service a little earlier to prevent last minute lingering customers, but an entire hour before close is ridiculous. Half an hour would be more reasonable, but if you stop service at 2 then you close at 2. This information needs to be available to unknowing people to prevent them from driving all the way there for nothing. No one is going to assume a restaurant is closed an entire hour before it says it is

The service at Pur & Simple Kanata is impeccable from the minute I walked in the door. The ladies at the front were extremely friendly and accommodating, even though it was so busy. We started with their limited-time offer drinks, which were absolutely delicious. If you haven t tried their Iced Matcha or Pur Mule, then please do! The portion sizes are incredible. The Avo Lox is delicious, with outstanding presentation, and the egg was cooked medium poached to perfection. I replaced the potatoes with a fruit bowl for an extra $4. Do not be fooled by the size of the fruit bowl it was overflowing. My boyfriend had the Big 3 and chose the famous potatoes, adding a side of hollandaise sauce. The potatoes dipped in the sauce are an incredible flavor. I understand why they are famous. The potatoes alone are something I would go back for. The whole experience was a 10. From the staff, quality, quantity, cleanliness and more. Vegetarian options: I saw vegetarian and vegan options on the menu. There is something for everyone and the servers are very accommodating Dietary restrictions: The server asked us if we had dietary restrictions or allergies Kid-friendliness: Saw lots of families It s definitely a family restaurant

Beautiful breakfast place with lovely patio It s a beautiful bright restaurant and so clean. We sat on the patio as it was a beautiful afternoon. The power bowl was delicious as was the Benedict (Chicago) and Nespresso Pancakes. Smoothies were refreshing and tasty. Staff were amazing and although busy we did not feel rushed to order. Will be returning for sure !!!

Our server Riley was fantastic! He was very friendly and quick with drinks when we sat down. The restaurant was very busy so a wait time for food is to be expected, but the food was great. Huge portions, and the Specialty coffees are an absolute must! Overall 9/10 will come again!

Came here for a late breakfast we were two people. We were greeted at the door by a waitress just passing through the line though she took the time to welcome us to the resto and said it wouldnt be long. Moments later we were told our table was just being cleaned and then we were seated. Jose then greeted us at the table and came back promptly with our decaf coffees. He took our complicated orders and we waited briefly before our food was served. Everything from the well cooked scrambled eggs, extra crispy bacon, no hazelnut on waffles, extra potatoes and bacon with no other meats was exactly as ordered. Jose came back many times to offer coffee refills, checked to make sure we were enjoying the food and made great eye contact and practically ran when we once looked up as we needed to ask a simple question. Jose is a fantastic waiter. Ironically moved from Montreal which is where were from. We travel for work to Ontario at least twice a month but this was our first time here and we WILL DEFINITELY be back!!!!! Thank you Jose and staff for an extremely wonderful experience

Food is excellent, the service is good except they forget certain request such as no cheeze for dairy intolerance or no bacon for relegious restriction. Dietary restrictions: Did not follow instructions

We were visiting the area we decided to go and get a breakfast fast around 9:am. It took us 10 min to get a place (not too bad not body was in front of us) then we waited 35min to get our first cup of coffee and in total 55 min to get our food very cold over cooked, bread toast (burnt toast)/pancakes without siroup. We were a group of 7 out of 7, 4 we got the wrong order that we got stuck with it. (Never turn back a meal in a restaurant) It really hurts my feelings to pay big bill for something #Non-edible.

Went for the first time and was happily surprised that we have this in Ottawa. I would give this a Ten out of ten. Food was amazing clean flavourful, service was perfect by our waiter Roxy who helped us during our first experience in the restaurant and elevated the service. So polite and professional. Definitely will recommend this to friends and family. Pleasantly surprised of this experience in Ottawa. Looks like we levelling up, slowly but surely
