My sister and I came for lunch. Each of us ordered the festive meal (chicken breast) and were served quickly with large chicken breasts, beautifully cooked, with all the trimmings. We both thought the meal was excellent, and was a highlight for my sister, who lives in Montreal and misses Swiss Chalet. Thanks for a lovely experience! Dietary restrictions: I had green beans with my chicken, as I am diabetic and stay away from potatoes. I was impressed with the number of choices available as side dishes.

Just how I like my Swiss Chalet! Everything was great! Take-out quarter chicken meal was as i wanted it!

So, everyone tried desperately to make our experience awesome. That said... the crew that were working were stretched way too thin. That was obviously not by their choice. Owner/Management really needs to schedule enough staff during Holiday Shopping Season. Again, to those few staff bustin it that Saturday... THANK YOU! Management: please focus... this is a venerable Holiday stop for a shit-tonif us old folks... (50 ish... GREAT TIPPERS)

Just finished working a long shift at work and looked forward to a nice chicken dinner from Swiss Chalet. So grabbed takeout on my way home. I had a $20.99 coupon for two can dine and ordered two quarter chicken dinners, paid extra for white meat and two side salads. I had a 45 minute drive home just to discover they forgot the fries in both meals. Tried calling the restaurant twice, no answer. Very disappointed especially since this isn t the first time this has happened to me. I definitely won t be visiting this location again.

My wife and I go to this particular swiss chalet if not every week, every second week. Last week we both noticed that the French fries were not the same as normal, rather hard in texture. This week it was the same. When we brought it to the attention of our server, she said that the potatoes were changed. I do hope the regular fries(potatoes) will come back soon as they are definitely not the same. Parking: Spaces are tight but plenty of them

We go to Swiss Chalet twice a month and Irene is always our favourite server. Efficient and professional and attentive.

Horrific experience during Thanksgiving this year. Pre-ordered because I knew it would be a busy evening and my order was still 40+ minutes late. Then I had to drive back to the restaurant to receive missing items. Not enough extra time for quality assurance, I guess. My family ended up eating at separate times. I thought because I paid about 6 hours before anybody dining in, my order would be prioritized, this wasnt the case.

Had Thanksgiving dinner there, they sat us at a booth that was too narrow and I had to wait for a table. But I think they forgot about us and when a waitressshowed up she took us to a table on the other side and there were aleast 4 0r 5 tables setup and emptied. Its was one of the worst Swiss Chalet Ive been too.

yesterday i ordered 2 classic burgers for my young boys and requested caramelized onions and bacon as extra toppings. i paid $40 with a gift card and covered a small portion $2.47 with my credit card . This morning my boys told me the burgers were literally just a patty with cheese,nothing else. They said the food was awful and that they never want to eat from that place again. If even young kids found it this bad, i can t imagine how older folks would react. Honestly i wouldn t recommend that place to my worst enemy. Unfortunately i no longer have the receipt, but i do have the pending transaction on my credit card as proof .

Dinner here was Ok. Service was slow, they were clearly understaffed so the servers were doing their best. The food, unfortunately, wasnt the best that weve had at a Swiss Chalet. Could have been an off day.

This location doesn t care about the safety of pets. I expressed my concern over a van that had 3 dogs in it. Yes, it was in shade with windows down but it was 28C out at the time. Had been parked at the restaurant for 45 minutes. I went in and the manager said the dogs did not appear to be in distress and it basically wasn t their problem as the parking lot isn t their property. I asked why they couldn t make an announcement and again was told the dogs appeared fine to them. When I left there were other patrons expressing concern as well. By this point the van had been parked at Swiss Chalet for over an hour. Any other business would have made an announcement and asked owner to check their dogs. Shameful. I frequented this location 2X a week. I will not be back.

Chicken Parm not available here. If you like lots of veg, salad with your meat - I suggest trying elsewhere. I loved the group order function online. Instead of taking everyones order, I just needed to send the link and everyone filled it in themselves. It was clear who order what too! And you can even put a spending cap if you wish. Lastly, I was able to have someone else go pickup the order and pay for it at the restaurant. I didnt have to be the one paying online by credit card beforehand. All in all, a super easy breasy experience when ordering for a group of people! Everyone got what they ordered, every substitution was correctly accounted for, for all 8-9 people. Order was actually ready for pickup 15min after website mentioned order ready for pickup. I suspect the loading bar automatically moves the closer you get to pickup time irrespective of whether the order is actually ready or not. The food itself was ok-good. Or at least mine. Ive eaten at Swiss chalet a number of different times trying various items. I have come to the conclusion that there isnt anything really my taste here. This time around, I tried a rotisserie chicken club wrap because it looked like it had more than just chicken and one vegetable item. I think I wouldve liked it if the chicken slices/pieces were crispy chicken and if it had more vegetables/salad inside. Three or four different veg and some lettuce would do wonders. I paid extra for the side of sweet potato fries, they were all soggy and bland tasting. Had they been crispy sweet potato fries with some seasoning it wouldve made a world of difference. I also tried the garlic cheese loaf app. I am glad I had a free app coupon for it as this too was rather disappointing. Garlic bread with fresh garlic instead of the creamy buttery stuff that you can get in the grocery stores would do wonders. It was like a baguette that had cheese stuffed on the middle, but the cheese wasnt melted. Conclusion, Swiss chalet food is not my thing. I had an excellent salad at Montanas that was so good I want to replicate it at home. Vegetarian options: Very little. Unlikely to walk out of here and say how good your salad was and that you want to try to replicate it at home. Suggest trying Montanas chicken apple pecan harvest salad instead $15.99 without chicken, $18.99 with chicken. Grilled chicken was delicious and a huge chicken breast sized.

Sonya, our waitress was amazing. What an amazing service we had from her. Food was overall good but the rotisserie chicken is pretty small. My husband took the chicken breast and it was very small, very boney, with barely any meat on it. Kids menu was good. Kids enjoyed it.

We have been to this location 3 times and have had the same waitress all 3 times. On the receipt her name is Jen C. She has absolutely no personality and I don t know how she even got a job in the first place, she never smiles and she never came back to see if we needed anything. All 3 times were like that . We waited for the bill for probably 15 minutes after we were done eating. I will hesitate to go back to this location and if I do I will ask for her to NOT be my waitress.

I have been to this restaurant many times and I have never complained about it when I should have. I m not letting this chance to complain go by. The service was excellent. She greeted us with a beautiful smile and when I complained that my fries were cold she was genuinely concerned and proceeded to get me a new plate of fries only to find out that they were as cold as the original. Luke warm would have been a treat. She also brought me a new bowl of piping hot BBQ sauce. When she came back to ask me how it was and I gave her my answer that I was not happy with the fries, she told me I could wait until a new batch of fries was made but I said no thank you. She handled the situation well. However, the quality of the food was not exceptable again.

Came at a very busy time for dinner. Large Convention in town. Still got seated quickly. The Hot roast beef dinner was excellent. Service was attentive and prompt. If I didnt live four hours away Id be back!

This is the best Swiss chalet I ve ever been to! The food is always great and their server Irene is amazing. If you re ever in need of a quick, great-tasting meal in Kanata, this is the spot to go!

Quarter Chicken was more like a 1/8th chicken. Feels weird reviewing Swiss Chalet since we all know what to expect... but I was very disappointed with my Quarter chicken portion size. At first it looked a bit small, so I commented this to the waitress. Her reply sometimes the legs come out a bit small. I was like OK whatever and didnt pursue any further. After flipping it over it looked even worse and was mostly bone and hollow. Maybe 3 chicken wings worth of meat. Instead of making a stink and ruining family dinner vibes I decided to leave a review here and will likely never go again. May as well buy a grocery store chicken or go to Popeyes.

Not sure why you allow ordering ahead. Every time we have ordered ahead (approx 5 times now), we arrive on time (according to the order instructions), pay then sit and wait 20+ mins. Honestly feels like you only started filling the order after we paid. Your order ahead experience is terrible. Next time I am going to try ordering from the parking lot, go in and pay right away. Just to see if the wait is the same or not. This is the experience I have had every time so far.

It concerns me, that one hostess always wears a mask. What does she have that she doesnt want to pass to customers? Masks protect the public, not the individual. Very inconsistent in food preparation. One time ribs are properly cooked, another time they are vastly overcooked. One time the fresh cut fries are properly cooked, another time they are also vastly overcooked.

Food is mediocre at best these days. The quality has gone way down hill.

Just ordered online at this location for the first time. Ordered dinner for the family feast. I ordered dark meat for my husband and myself. The meat was dry to the bone! Everything else was excellent, but I was craving the juicy chicken i grew up with. Very disappointing.

Their roast beef sandwich is really good. I love the fries too. Portions were big. Service was great so would recommend for a not too expensive meal out.
