This has been some of the best and freshest sushi that we have been able to find recently. The staff is awesome and super friendly.

The staff are lovely, but our fish did not taste fresh. I dont expect well return although my kid enjoyed his yam tempura roll.

I have celiac disease and this restaurant was so amazingly accommodating. They made new rice and used a clean workplace for our meal. Not to mention how fresh and amazing the food is. I would recommend this place to everyone. Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating to celiac disease.

The food is excellent - I love their daily lunch specials and will often forget to pack myself a lunch just so I can get their sushi! Their chefs are clearly experienced and talented. Very reasonably priced for such excellent food. Dietary restrictions: My partner is allergic to gluten and dairy, and the staff will always double check ingredients with us to be certain that the dish he ordered is safe for him to enjoy.

Our go -to for sushi take out in Kanata. Rolls are fresh and filled with tasty ingredients. Our favourite is the torch sushi boxes. Very generous portions and fair pricing. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Well worth a visit if you re in the area.

Overall a good sushi spot in the neighborhood. They offer the usual sushi rolls, but also have some appetizers, sushi pizza, poke bowls, donburi (rice bowls), etc. Basically, a decent variety for a sushi takeout spot. The prices are fair for sushi. The bowls are good value, but slightly smaller in size. The chicken Katsu is only $11.99 at time of review. You get curry rice with it, which is a very good deal. Unfortunately the chicken was a bit dry, as was the curry sauce, but decent. The poke bowl was very good with fresh ingredients. You dont get a lot of rice in it though. I ordered the veggie bowl, and it was so good I ordered it again on another occasion. Unfortunately the second time they did not include the main ingredient, which was the fried sweet potato sticks! They were busy that night so hopefully it was an oversight. Their sushi is always a hit in our household. We also noticed they didnt offer the bonus roll anymore for ordering over a certain $$ amount.

We ordered the Dragon and torched sushi trays. It was absolutely fantastic! The restaurant also included a free roll with a special sauce on the side. That sauce was so good that we used it on the other rolls. 10/10 would recommend anyone to come for sushi. Incredibly fast service as well!

Tiny portions, vegetarian sushi was mixed in with fish, missing parts of order and tempura dipping sauces as well as soy sauce. Not so tasty. This was a disappointing and expensive order compared to our usual orders from another local sushi place.

Super cute place, they make your order fast which is nice when youre hungry. The sushi is good and worth the price, plus they have a wide array of other foods if youre not feeling like eating sushi (ie. poke bowls). Definitely worth a visit!

Fresh sushi made on site! Newly soft opened neighbourhood sushi shop did not disappoint! Although the store is not completely ready yet, but all ingredients appear to be super fresh, price slightly on the higher end (compared with Hockey Sushi for example) but still very reasonable. I ordered the sashimi combo and a tempura sushi roll to go, they were prepared fairly quickly and tasted great! Although I do wish the sashimi combo didn t include imitation crabs but something like surf clams or shrimps instead. My daughter really liked their tempura shrimp roll, demonstrated by the half eaten photo below. Staff was super friendly, eager to help! Recommend!

A new sushi place in Kanata! We got some take outs yesterday and have mixed reviews.. first the shrimp tempura were definitely disappointing, small and those frozen kind you get.. the sushi rolls we got mixed of regular rolls and speciality rolls, they were definitely all super fresh but we felt it lacked some flavour! The sashimi was super fresh as well.. it s just the flavour we thought it could be improved :) very friendly service we ordered online and it was very efficient !

Just tried Windbell Sushi for the first time and I absolutely loved it! The Black Dragon Roll was absolutely delicious and the Spicy Crispy Salmon Maki was incredible. Oh try the Gyoza too!

Sorry but I didnt like it. The rice was too hard and dry, individual grains were falling off the roll. The ratio of the rice for their torched sushi was too high. Just a thin layer of topping on the top. Surprisingly the free Dragon Eye roll that comes with a $40 minimum order was my favourite. Its fried and comes with a mayo based sauce. Pretty tasty.

We will definitely order from this place again! The party tray we ordered was carefully planned to balance tastes, texture and colors. Well done!

Based on good reviews, I decided to try this place as I havent been happy with the service at Sushi Eki. They were definitely correct! Everything was delicious down to the free dragon eye roll that I didnt think I would be a fan of. Very good! Service was great and friendly too. Cant wait to be back!

Thought wed try a new sushi stop. Glad we did. The sushi here is great. Super fresh. The sashimi is delicious and not skimpy. They even made a special roll for my wife who cant eat avocado. Its a small shop with some tables, but you can take out. I will definitely come back.

I got the 50pcs Maki roll tray. The flavour of each roll is pretty good. I like the fried onions on top of the rolls. However, Im not a huge fan of the rice. The rice was too dry and the grains fell off. Also the rolls werent sealed well, as each roll fell apart when picking it up. My favourite was actually the free dragon eye roll.

Amazing sushi, as fresh as can be!

The second time ordered maki rolls and was extremely disappointed by the quality, the rice was so wet and glutinous, it didnt taste fresh, and its been pressed so hard into the seaweed, the rolls tasted worse than the one from the supermarket. Ordered takeout for the first time yesterday, the maki rolls were all fresh and tasty, really enjoyed it. I like the variety of their combo platters, you are able to find a platter that doesnt come with those cheap fill-in that you dont really want. Will come back for more.

OMG! Windbell has been never disappointing. My go to place for sushi from now is windbell only! I already had two packs and I still need more but my stomach is full. 100% recommend to try!

Can t follow simple instructions. Ordered california rolls through Uber Eats and asked that they add chipotle mayo. It was clearly written in the notes and on the bag they delivered to me. They did not add the mayo.

Order for takeout. The combo tray has different types of sashimi The material is not that fresh. Soy sauce is light and it makes me feel they mix water in it.

I was driving through Ottawa and had a sudden craving for sushi. So I got off of the highway and did a search for sushi near me. I stumbled across this place and was more than impressed with the quality of the food and the kind, friendly service. I wished that I lived closer and would highly recommend it to others. Try the tuna volcano roll.

Im unbelievably upset today with what I received from a delivery service. The last time I frequented this place with my husband we got take out and it was incredibly delicious, fast and friendly service. And it held up very well on our 30 minute drive home. I really wanted to make this my new take out place! My previous rating would have been a 5! Today my crispy rolls were stale no crunch to them at all. The packaging was closed on my sushi, and although I paid almost 1.80$ for extra spicy mayo (which I didnt mind) I didnt get any soy sauce for the rest of my rolls. Just disappointed that my sushi tasted like it had been sitting in a fridge all day. If thats what I was looking for Id buy it at the grocery store, not spend over $25 for 16 pieces of sushi. (Half of them being just cucumber.) Just for clarification there was more drive time for my way home than the time it took to be delivered so its not at all that it sat with the driver too long. Im hoping that if we decide to give this place another try that we have a better outcome.

Salmon Rose sushi, Torched Salmon sushi & Crispy spicey crab maki really good. Price again is good. The female employee who used to work at St. Laurent sushi on 2nd flr. food court is so kind. I forgot to take a picture of the poke bowl, but the salmon poke bowl was one of the best, of not the best, Ive had in Ottawa. Good amount of salmon, the dressing style sauce on it was very good, and there was lots of fresh, crisp vegetables in the bowl with the rice. Price was good too for what you get. Food also came out very fast. My mother got the spicy crab poke bowl and had the same opinions about hers; very fresh, good amount of meat, veggies were good, flavours were a nice mix.

My husband and I ordered 2 tuna Poke bowls, the owners went above and beyond to accommodate our Celiac disease. We have enjoyed poke bowls from all over Canada and Australia, these were the absolute BEST in our opinion. The ingredients were fresh, the tuna was firm yet buttery , melt in your mouth delicious. The chief was knowledgeable, dedicated and passionate regarding his food. As delicous as the food is, the service and care that we experienced was what stood out and made this restaurant one that we will tell everyone we know about. A rare and refreshing experience .

Had lunch here yesterday - an absolutely great experience! We ordered two special rolls and a fried chicken katsu donburi, all of them are delicious and super fresh! The food is too delicious that we even forgot to take pictures :P The owner is very accommodating and spent extra effort explaining details about the menu and splitting the raw and cooked sushi for us. Its nice to find a nice sushi place nearby. Will for sure come back again!

A real gem. The sushi is superior to most in the city. It s located in a mini mall where you usually have chain restaurants, but this feels more like a family spot. Delicious sushi. Atmosphere calm and happy. Best sushi place I have ever been in Canada. I would recommend it. I got 8 pieces of Lobster & Shrimp sushi and 6 pieces of torched salmon sushi. Beautiful plates and sushi.

Awesome sushi place. Restaurant is clean, staff is friendly and sushi is fresh/delicious! Torched sushi was my favourite!
