Unfortunately got food poisoning.

Amazing all your can eat. Superb selection. Maki rolls were more fillings than rice (excellent). 26.99 for lunch.

Its very mediocre. Ive had better ayce sushi at cheaper price. Sushi is ok. Salmon rose was very disappointing. Sashimi was fine. Their beef teriyaki stuff was very good.

The food is very fresh and tasty.my children really love the robot,the servers are very warm and friendly.

My go-to AYCE sushi spot in Ottawa! Worth the trek all the way from the other end of the city! Wheelchair accessibility: From what Ive seen, the entrance/exit and the washrooms are all accessible.

Food is good, consistent quality, and lot of new choices from dinner menu. We went there around 2:15pm, the lunch menu ended at 2, so had to serve with dinner menu, which is expensive though.

Take out was efficient, the food was good and the price value was fair. I recommend for a quick Sushi craving Parking: Tiny parking for the amount of services offer in that plaza.

Always a great experience at Hockey Sushi. We used to just order sushi for pickup but tried the buffet a few months ago and were hooked - even made it our Christmas Eve dinner. The kitty robot is a nice touch too! --- Update 2024: Just took my kids there to celebrate a birthday, and Hockey Sushi was something that we were all waiting for with baited breath. It didnt disappoint - this place is just plain awesome. Kid-friendliness: Kids love the kitty robot

Great sushi, fair price, cool robot server which my 2 year old loved. Also HUGE FAN of the deal for kids under 4. Only note - the sushi was a touch warm for my liking. But wouldn t stop me from going back. Fav AYCE in Ottawa.

Exceptionally poor customer service. Went there stand at the main counter for 10 minutes with three employees literally looking at me and ignoring me not even a nod or a smile. You lost a customer forever. Also your sushi is very average tasting. Only reason went there was for convinence.

The place is good but I see booger on the seat miso soup is very good you should have it for first appetizer but the drinks need money (fact in the ice cream you can get three of the x2 Of each flavour so the little cup you get for the ice cream can fit 6 scoop of ice cream)

Our go to Sushi place, love the food, servers are always helpful and quick. The restaurant is clean with the exception of the floors being sticky from whatever cleaner they use.

Fantastic. I been to tons of AYCE sushi in Ottawa the passed 3 years and this has been the best hands down. VERY FAST service, Food is exquisite. Will be back.

I cant say that this was the best Ive ever had, it was decent. The meat was very hard which wasnt the greatest, general Tao to breaded and sushi was just basically rice. Service was hands down amazing but not too happy with the food

Service and atmosphere was top notch. Sashimi was good but the sushi and maki didn t seem very fresh. Wasn t a big fan of the tempura items. Other appetizers/side dishes were very good. Highly recommend the cheese wontons, baby sausages, bbq shrimp skewers, and the mango/coconut puddings.

PLEASE do not eat here. Much like the other 1 star reviews, I also got painful food poisoning after getting AYCE just yesterday. I cannot believe this place is still open after getting so many people so sick. I will be reporting this to Ottawa Public Health and I hope that others who get sick will do the same.

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE My family made a reservation for a large group of over 30 people at Hockey Sushi on July 20, 2024, for the all-you-can-eat sushi option. My wife, who is 39 weeks pregnant and needed to avoid raw food and cross-contamination, asked our waiter if it was possible to order a la carte to ensure her safety. The waiter sounded annoyed and unaccommodating. He said, You all booked all you can eat, without showing any sympathy or understanding of her condition. He didnt bother to ask the manager or offer any alternative solutions. His reasoning was that it would be hard to keep track (for 1 person?), completely dismissing my wifes health concerns and implying she wanted to cheat the restaurant. Zero accommodations for a large group where one person required special handling is no way to run a business. Ill be taking my business elsewhere.

We love hockey sushi and order from here regularly. We find the cost of the all you can eat to be too high, but we can easily get full by ordering a tray from the a la carte menu. Their rolls are fresh, and size-able! Highly recommend!

Its good sushi, just the rice comes out warm, very unpleasant next to raw salmon

All you can eat sushi is straight up jammin. Is it the best in the world? No! Is it 40 bucks, and you can eat piles of sashimi, sushi, rolls, and even a whole salmon head if youre adventurous? Hell yeah! Will be back for another 45 pieces of salmon sashimi and some mango shrimp tempora rolls. (If I got the robot server, I would be giving a 5 star, but I swear that thing is out to spite me!)

All good but little lower than my expection. It is a little hot inside. Looks like air conditioning is not fully working. Less variety of foods than other sushi buffet restaurants but the price is same. 12 years old Kids are charged with adult price. Other restaurants charge from 13 years old. Maybe I am a little picky customer.

Service was a little slow at times but food the maki rolls, nigiri and sashimi made up for it. They have some cool extra dishes for adventurous people aswell :) Vegetarian options: They have veggie rolls. Wow, been to many sushi restaurants. Great food, fresh, nice size pieces, great price.

Been here frequently now, almost every weekend. Love the service and food. Staff is fast and responsible, very quick all you can eat service. Everything is always fresh and hits the spot! This is my go to place when Im craving asian cuisine.

One of my favorite places to stop when in Ottawa food is always great and the service is super fast.

The food is great but staff the staff are impatient! Numerous times, my single order/input has been decided as law for the whole table. I order a water, the rest of the table is not given the chance to put in their drink orders and are instead provided water. Or if I say I need a minute, they leave the whole table when others know what they want. If it s not the above route, then the staff just flat out forgets our orders. It s a shame service is so bad because the sushi is great.

Even though the miso soup was a little salty,everything else was good . The ice cream was really good, even my son liked it. He also liked the passion fruit on the sushi.

We really enjoyed our order for takeout today. Compared to some other sushi options, this place rocks! Good serving size, tasty food and not as expensive as places that have lesser quality offerings. Very happy and will be back.

After Covid prices went up crazily, food quality went down... sincerely dont worth the price anymore...

The food was delicious. Im a big fan of seafood as well as noodles which explains a lot. It is a definite go to when Im with a large group of friends.

Hockey sushi has served us many times and always with the same beautiful quality of service and food. Their points card has afforded us many free meals and is a must have for when you become hooked on this wonderful restaurant!

Came here for a friends birthday. It is a classic All you can eat. Quality of food is to be as expected and similar to other AYC. An enjoyable location, with decent food for the price.

Very fast service, we went for AYCE, we started with a few rolls and sashimi, within a few minutes food started to arrive at the table. Everything was fresh. Servers were really nice and attentive Food

It s not bad, it s pretty much the same in Ottawa.

High quality of food and a lot of selection. Food is fast, and they re quick to help. Only downside is that the TVs are large and distracting, otherwise it s 100%. Very clean, very friendly, great food, decent prices; I have gone for lunch, supper, eat in and pick up several times and very very happy with them, and my kids also love going there. Parking: Lots of spots shared with other stores though sometimes at lunch, they fill up and need to park on street.

The best in Ottawa, hands down. I prefer to order take out since it is cheaper and you eat the same amount basically.

Overall 4.8/5 only because a few times we did not get the spicy mayo on our spicy rolls (that were ment to have it) however that is the least of my worries when they are kind and the food is always amazing. I made a note the last time about the spicy mayo and they made sure it was on and gave us some extra :) there great.

1st Sushi restaurant. Loved the food and the unique robot cat.

My wife and I went in for lunch. I wanted all you can eat but she only wanted to order from a la carte menu. They said they could not allow 2 different types of orders at the same table. I asked for clarification. They said we would both have to order all you can eat. I said that is ridiculous that my wife does not want to eat that much and would like just have an order of california rolls. We left so I cant comment on the service or the food.

Great service, very fast. I liked the delivery robot they use. The servers quickly take empty plates off the table. Consistently good sushi. There s an option to indicate you have allergies or to order food without mayo (Don t count on it though in my experience). The calorie count for each food is listed. Favourite foods: - salmon sashimi - shrimp skewer - unagi sushi - lamb skewers - seaweed salad -takoyaki octopus ball - green dragon roll -shrimp tempura - sesame ball

This sushi place in Ottawa is one of my top picks. Ordering is a breeze, and the food consistently hits the mark in taste. While I keep coming back for more, I cant help but wish their menu had a tad more variety in rolls. Nonetheless, its still one of my go-to spots for satisfying sushi cravings

Good selection of foods. Efficient service. The takeout option seems to be better quality sushi than the dine-in buffet, but cannot confirm that. Not much to complain about: one of the better sushi buffet restaurants, even though quality has gone down after COVID

The food was awesome and delicious I tried for my first time and very impressed by the rapidly of service !

On Sunday night we were a group of 7 for dinner at Hockey Sushi. The service was fine, as was the cleanliness of the restaurant. Four of the seven people in our group suffered severe food poisoning that night and into the next day. When contacted, the manager seemed indifferent. After years of ordering takeout and dining in at this establishment, I will never go back.

Nice place, absolutely wonderful service. They did not get upset when the kids ordered so much. They were actually very nice about it and we ll be better next time we go back. Great quality food and overall a solid experience.

Good quality and low price

I wasnt a big fan unfortunately. Every sushi roll tasted like oil, it had a very weird flavor. The edamame were very mushy, I did not enjoy them. I only liked the cheese wonton and fried wonton. I ordered it from ubereats which was 127$.

I wasn t able to finish a few items of food and was completely shamed by the staff for wasting food. I m not coming back here. Disgusting behaviour.

Delicious worth the trip

Unfortunately I found this place lacking in quality and selection. Started off with miso soup not having any tofu. Was not pleased to find that my shrimp tempura still had the SH*T sacks still in them, they dont clean their shrimp and serve it to you with sh*t still in them.....lastly the General Tao chicken was inedible because it was rock hard and gross. By the time we started our meal I immediately regretted not going to Sushi Kan, they have a larger selection even for their lunch menu and seem to clean their shrimp before serving it. Wont be back here.

Horrible the worst sushi place by far, been to this place for years never had a problem but now the size of the fish decreased by 3, quality is 10x worse than before, gave me and my whole family food poisoning gave me the biggest headache made me vomit multiple times stomach and digestive problems and haven t been able to go to school the whole week because of this horrible ghetto cheapskate dogcrap of a place that they dare call sushi. Just disgraceful!

We were sat at a table right across from the entrance to the dish area of the kitchen. The constant bad odour coming out ruined everyone s appetite. There was also not a single drop of soap in the men s washroom or sanitizer at two separate dispensers at the front. Food was expensive for subpar quality.

We absolutely LOVE Hockey Sushi! It s our go-to sushi for delivery! The quality of the meals are excellent, extremely well-presented and are always the freshest. Care is always taken for allergies - Gluten-Free options, GF soy sauce available. Fast and friendly service! Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free options!

Normally this is our favourite go-to for sit-down or take out sushi. Lately the sit down is only ok but the take-remains delicious. The take out seems more fresh than the sit down. This week we went early before the rush and things were coming out with any of the little toppings you see in the pictures like tobico. And the whole assortment of gluten free items that say teriyaki have no sauce. GF teriyaki sauce is cheaper than gf soy sauce so Im not sure why theyd leave it so dry. A fun place for basic sushi, but could improve for sure. The picture is supposed to be teriyaki beef with mushroom but its a dry little tasteless bit.

Food quality was good for buffer dinner. Service was good, and food was served quickly. Parking: Parking lot filled up quickly. People need to park on the street.

Noce food

There was one particular waitress who was very rude. She was commenting on why we were not finishing food on all we can eat menu, why we did not eat the noodles in the ramen cause it s a waste. Her face was always sour. Others were pretty nice. Food was ok overall, but 100$ for 2 people in all you can eat menu is overpriced. It will be cheaper to order on a regular menu for 2 people.

Have been going to hockey for a long time, never let down by the experience.

Placed an order for pick up. My husband showed up gave my number and was told there was no order. Then later I get a text msg saying my order is ready for pick up. I called and they said must of been a mix up. I said well we live in the country and drove in to town for nothing so not driving back. Didnt offer us anything, discount or an apology or anything or free delivery. Its Christmas eve and our dinner was ruined. Not impressed at all.

We were here 4 years ago when visiting family and we absolutely loved the place. Came back to visit our family again from out of town and out of country and decided to take the family out to visit this place and celebrate our daughters birthday. Called in advance to reserve the table and confirmed 3 times over the phone how many people we have in our party. When we arrived the waiter, recounted the number of people, and again, we confirmed the number and ages of people. Had pretty nice and friendly dinner, and everything was very coY and pleasant. Got our bill, and paid it with a gracious (US style tip). But, when we got ready to leave, the whole positive experience was flushed down the drain. As our family members were ready to walk out the door, one of the waitresses or managers ran towards the door, screaming to close the doors and not let anyone from our party leave, so that they could recount thr number of people. When I asked whats going on, it turned out that they missed charging for one person. Ive never been treated this way in any establishment. They saw exactly who paid for the bill and could have calmly approached me or my husband to shown us the discrepancy, and we would have settled the difference without any issues, just like we ended up settling it. There is no reason to treat customers like criminals, especially when the mistake was on yours, not ours. Next time we visit Canada, we will look for a different place to dine where customers are appreciated, and not treated like this. Needless to say, everyones mood and our daughters birthday celebration was completely ruined by this treatment.

Quick service. Service is a bit unpleasant but the food is tasty and usually fresh. By far the best sushi spot in Kanata.

Went with some friends for the first time, they recommended it. The kitty robot brings you sushi! Impressive menu, lots of items, only issue was a slightly chewy fat piece in a single pork bun. Bubble tea was 10/10, massive serving, and I got to keep the cup.

A pretty good all you can eat buffet. The quality is good for a buffet and the staff are very nice.

The staff make you feel as though you are a burden, not a welcomed guest. During the middle of the service the entire kitchen took a 20 minute break. Not worth the money.

Awesome place for all you can eat sushi.

Probably wouldnt come again. Food wasnt bad, but for $30 (tax included) all you can eat lunch, $20 would feel more appropriate. I expected a bit better selection and better quality. Servers were nice, but didnt really talk to our table when dropping off dishes or ask if we wanted water refilled, etc. Bathrooms were not especially clean either. Parking: No parking at the time I went (12pm Thursday), small parking lot. Small parking lot shared by multiple businesses. A decent number of spots were for 15 minute visits only. Kid-friendliness: Highchairs were not easy to adjust straps. One of the servers did however help me to adjust.

First time trying this place. Excellent food. The sever went above and beyond. Throughout the night would ask how everything was. Good job.

This I my favorite spot in terms of food. BUT, its so messy/junky, Im not saying dirty, just not the most organized. The bathrooms though, yuk. Also, there is always someone listening to a TV show out loud on their phone at the front desk, and its very annoying. The food definitely saves it, because the atmosphere...that aint it!

Delicious sushi!

Sushi was fine, but $46ish is way too much and we didnt get a few things we ordered. The desert was awful. I ordered mango pudding and mango ice cream. They both tasted nothing like mango, just like sugar and old milk. They must have been sitting pre-portioned and uncovered for days in a fridge that had never been cleaned. When I tried to talk to one of the servers about it they blew me off. Makes me wonder about the cleanliness of the kitchen and the treatment of the staff.

Very substandard food. The mango salad was stale and the mangoes smelled bad. Sushi was more like a ball of rice than actual sushi with fish and rice. I mean why serve such thick balls of rice Disappointing to say the least.
