Very friendly staff helped me choose since Ive never had Turkish food before. Hard to judge the food because of that but I give a 3 stars as it was a little pricey for what you get and I found the flavours subtle. However, maybe thats how they are supposed to be.

The boss can speak Chinese and it s really nice. The rice is delicious.

The best Turkish restaurant I ve ever been to. The food is great and authentic. The service is excellent that we d love to tip 20%. We tried mixed for two which is much more tasty than the similar platter we had before at other places. The pide and Lahmacun are great that we tried first time. Eggplant Mutabbal is very impressing that we can t stop dipping with the bread. Baklava is in a perfect sweet level. Will definitely come back again.

Hands down, Tava offers the most authentic Turkish cuisine experience. I first tried their Lahmacun when they started as a small take-out operation, and I was hooked. Now, I go there regularly. Over the years, they have not only expanded their menu but have also maintained consistent quality. I especially love their Pides and Kebabs, with the lamb shish kebab being my favorite. Let me put it this way: when I first tried their lamb shish kebab a few months ago, I closed my eyes, and the aroma and taste took me on a journey down memory lane, back to the authentic flavors of my childhood. I have visited Tava many times with family and friends, and every time the experience has been fantastic. Amazing food, a nice and elegant atmosphere, clean washrooms, and really friendly service. The chef and staff are always respectful and courteous, and they go the extra mile to make our experience better. Their desserts are also really well made. I usually get the rice pudding or sutlac, but the baklava is great too. They work on a reservations basis, so its best to call ahead. I think the prices are also very reasonable compared to other places. I highly recommend this gem of a place. You no longer need to travel to Turkey to enjoy authentic Turkish food just pay Tava Kitchen a visit!

Food was excellent! Had a 1/2 cheese and 1/2 spinach and cheese pide, the beef/lamb kebab, the lamb kebab on eggplant and the other lamb dish with eggplant. Everything was amazing especially the eggplant. Strongly recommend!

The quality and freshness of the food is amazing. We tried beet mutabbal, lahmacun and the ANTEP DOLAMA (dessert), everything was perfectly cooked and at perfect temperature to enjoy all the flavours. Best part was their service as we never felt being rushed or anything. A must try place if you haven t already!

This is a gem restaurant of this area! I have lived this area for over six years but I never found it until my family visited us from Vancouver this year I was so impressed for every dishes here!!!! They were so delicious I didn t take any pictures because I can t wait to enjoy the foods. Now I saw people uploaded the food pics I can t stop my mouthwatering lol. Don t forget to make the reservation because I am afraid people know the gem already.

The woman at the counter kindly walked us through the full menu as it was our first time trying Turkish food. We ordered takeout but even then the young woman guided us to a table and offered us some free hot Turkish tea while we waited for our food. First time coming to Tava, as you walk in you immediately know a lot of thought has been put in the design. The place isnt too big, but they didnt squish together all the tables. The menu is a good size of selections and theres something for everyone in there. The wait for the food didnt take too long, but it wasnt so fast that I had to question if they just microwaved it. The meats were perfectly cooked and seasoned. There was a lot of flavour with each bite, the lamb chunks werent overcooked and they were very tender. Their stand out item has to be their pide, perfect crust, amazing filling and very large. I will opt to get a few of those when I come back. Their tea is standard Turkish and very delicious. The only thing I found a bit lackluster was their kunefe, Ive had my fair share and I would arguably say this was the worst. It wasnt even hot when we received it, no cheese pull and not very sweet. This would be 5 stars if their meat portions were bigger. We were two gentlemen and ordered three mains, unfortunately we should have ordered a fourth because we were still hungry by the end. A definite recommend to those with small appetites or order two mains for those with large appetites.

We haven t had such delicious food in the Ontario area for a long time. It truly feels like youre in Turkey. The taste of the meatballs and lahmacun was perfect everything was well-prepared and absolutely delicious. The price-to-quality ratio is excellent, with generous portions, and they even offer complimentary side dishes. The staff and owners are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and provide great service. Really tasty food and fresh ingredients.

Very good dining experience. Good environment, nice people, and delicious food, of course! Personally, I like their Kofte dishes the most. The lamb and beef are minced, mixed with a variety of spices, and well-seasoned. You can taste the naturally rich flavor of the meat and the fragrant spice condiments. Their desserts are really good too. I love their Antep Dolama and Sutlac. The former is like a pistachio pie with ice cream on it. The pie is served hot, causing the ice cream to melt from the top. When you take a spoonful of the pie with the ice cream, its an amazing experience. The Sutlac is rice pudding, but unlike other restaurants, they add roasted hazelnuts, which enhances the nutty flavor and elevates the overall taste. Their Turkish coffee has the aroma of roasted spices, which is really fresh to me. Definitely worth a shot while having desserts!

The food is very good. We went there two times and will be going more. The quantities are not big but filling. The service is exceptional. The owner goes over and beyond to provide the clients with a positive experience. He is very much successful in that. The atmosphere is good, I only give 4 stars because the place is a bit small. However, we went without reservations and were seated immediately. So I havent faced any problems yet with the size of the place. I encourage trying it. One last thing, they serve Halal meat.

It was our first time here and we had the pide with half chicken and cheese and half vegetarian and it tasted good. Very cheesy. The shish tawuk was amazing! The chicken kebab pieces were seasoned well and so juicy inside. So tasty! The bulgur was delicious too. The ambience was minimalistic but very cozy. Loved the service, very kind they were. I will definitely come here again and try the lamb next time.

Had been skipping this place just cause I prefer rice and they don t have rice in the menu, but today I just thought I should give a try and boy I made the best decision. The lamb/beef kebab grilled on charcoal was juicy and tender. It was cooked to perfection. The pistachio dolama was unbelievable. I have no words to describe how good it was. As I write this comment, I am just remembering every bite I nibbled. Must visit. I couldn t convey my message to the chef but hope this comment reaches you chef. You have magic in your hands.

We tried lahmacun and kadayif dolama. Kadayif dolma was cold. The lahmacun was dry and not tasty at all. Since they sold all the lahmacun to the customer who bought it as a package before the customer in the restaurant, I guess they prepared it without much care. The bottom was burnt. In the past, lahmacun was the most delicious place to eat. I am really sad

I recently dined at Tava Kitchen and was blown away by the incredible flavors and exceptional service! The highlight of my meal was the Balkan meatballs juicy, and cooked to perfection. But the true star of the evening was the Pistachio Dolama for dessert. The delicate layers of pastry, rich pistachio filling, and just the right amount of sweetness made it an unforgettable treat. I can t recommend Tava Kitchen enough for anyone looking to experience authentic, mouth-watering dishes. This place is a gem!

I recently visited Tava Kitchen and was delighted by the authentic Turkish cuisine they offer. The lamb kebabs were perfectly seasoned and cooked, while the mezes were fresh and flavorful. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff made the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Tava Kitchen for a true taste.

A quick comment first. Everything, everything is wonderful. We came from Montreal just for this restaurant. The restaurant is very clean, toilets are very clean. The floor is also super clean. Open concept kitchen,you can watch while your order is being prepared. They are very fast. You dont wait for service it. The price is very reasonable for this taste and this quality. Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! The food was delicious! Specifically Balkan Kofte and Antep Alinazik Kebab. Starter mezes with bread are tasty! This quality, this taste price is very affordable! In the final, we are shocked by dessert-Dolama! It s the best dessert had in my life!

They just extend for dine-in! I can say they have the best kabab in town! Their Balkan Kofte, Alinazik Antep Kabab and Lahmacun are unbelievable!

Not sure where to begin, been in Ottawa nearly 30 years, we always struggled to find truly authentic food. Tava-Kitchen offers a truly unique yet traditional selection of choices. They just expanded their menu to sit-down style beyond those delicious pies to offering now extended menu. What is different here is the quality of food (being unmatched) you consume with perfect mix of ingredients for those who looks for Balkan/Turkish taste profile. The chef, who is Michelin star worthy, is very knowledgeable about different cultures and their respective taste profile, offers perfect mix of traditional options. At work we used him for his famous Pides and Lahmacun for a lunch event, now I had to pleasure experiencing his lentil soup (yummy) and Balkan/Turkish Style Köfte with traditional Yo urt. #TurkishFood #Lahmacun #Pide (Turkish Pizzas) #Kebabs #Soup. Excellent food served most cordial server. I ordered the Lamb Shank, Baklava, pudding along with Turkish tea and everything was delicious. Service was too notch!!

Been here once before for pides. The place has expanded and is newly renovated, very nice. I tried one of the lamb/beef meatball dishes and it sure hit the spot! Delicious! Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is street level and should not pose to much issues for accessability.

We were visiting Ottawa for less than 24hours and we wanted to have a good Turkish food that is as good as original. We saw the google reviews and we could not believe all the good reviews, so decided to come and see and it was worth to come. First day we had salad, ezme, Ali Nazik Kebabi and Kusbasi pide and everything was so good. This was the first time we left a Turkish restaurant happy in Canada. Today less than 24hours we went back for Lahmacun. We were 3people and ordered 3portion, the money you pay is worth it. We could only finish 2 portion. I do not know how to describe the food, I am not a food critic but everything was high quality. Vedat Milor should visit here :), even he will appriciate the taste. Also everyone is very friendly and proffesional at the same time. I would recommend it to anyone who asks for Turkish food in Canada. Thank you very much again.

Every detail has been meticulously selected to appeal to the customers palate and visual pleasure. You can experience wonderful flavors with presentations that wont strain your eyes or stomach. Its a unique spot where you can enjoy a delicious, peaceful, and economical meal with your family. I wholeheartedly congratulate the chef and his friendly team.

Since there are few tables, I recommend making a reservation before going to the restaurant. They seated us at the bar stools as there were no available tables. However, they moved us to a large table before the food arrived. The waitress was very good. The chefs at the grill were both extremely polite and hospitable. We tried Ali Nazik ,Lahmacun, ku ba l pide. Everyone was very satisfied. For dessert, I recommend the Antep dolama. The music was Turkish music from the 80s. We really liked both the service and the food.

Coming from Toronto which has a lot of Turkish food choices, I was pleasantly surprised to get such excellent Turkish food in Ottawa as well. The balkan yogurt kabab were OUTSTANDING, so was the Turkish tea and fresh complementary bread. The restaurant has a very relaxed vibe and a clean and cozy sitting area. However, the best part of the whole experience was the EXCEPTIONAL customer service. 10/10. Will definitely visit them every time I come visit Ottawa.

We happened upon this place after shopping in the area and were so impressed! Super hospitable staff and amazing food. We had lentil soup, the muhamara and beet mutabal dips (served with a fresh flatbread). They also let us split the pide half half (cheese sujuk and the diced steak). We finished with kebab platters but it was so much food ended up taking it home. Highly recommend this spot, so friendly, nice atmosphere, excellent fresh made-to-order food.

This is the best turkish food place I found until now in Canada. I was literally shocked how I didn t know about this place and its only 10 min from my house and its better than alot of the restaurants I ate in Istanbul. This is a rare find restaurant with amazing food that became on my permanent list. I went for the Kofte and Ali Nazik and it was the best I ever had. These guys have a dedicated skilled talented chef this is why they are that good.

Incredibly delicious food. Truly authentic flavours of the Antep region in Turkey. Service has been wonderful too ever since we started coming here. Definitely recommend their Balkan kofte, Alinazik kebab, and karadeniz pide. The deserts are incredible too.
