Ive dined here a few times and to be fair the food was excellent & service friendly. However on my 3rd visit I asked to change the giant side of fries that usually comes with the item I was going to order to something else that is healthier & my request was sternly refused & was told I could still pay the same amount & just not get the fries. I find this kind of rigidity ridiculous & a sign of poor customer service & business. You have to give your customer some wiggle room for choices or at least be more accommodating so as not to lose your return customer. So I canceled my order & left. That was a $60 order they easily lost. The staff member who served me was also very rude and belligerent when I canceled the order even though I was very polite and respectful the whole time & kept lecturing me about the restaurants policy. Very foolish way of them to do business & lose customers for such silly reasons. If you care more about your policy so much instead of your customers at least dont be rude about it.

I keep coming back back..again and again and again the place serves food that gives deep satisfaction and fills you with a feeling of gratitude. Nothing pretentious but seriously cooked and seasoned food. I love the people in the kitchen, I love the waiters, I love the owners behind the concept. We enjoyed our experience at Turkish Kebab House, with its great flavours, inviting ambiance, and attentive service. Portions were a bit smaller than what we re used to in Toronto, but overall, it was a delightful visit.

Went here for a staff dinner ordered 2 very reasonably priced dishes to feed 15 people and there were tons of leftovers I stuffed my face and didnt have the uncomfortable feeling I would have at other places- the food is obviously very high quality Food was delicious, staff and management were both great

As a group of five adults, we ordered a family platter for four that had kebabs, beef shish, chicken wings and Kofte. That is a lot of food: and even though it was quite delicious, we could only finish about half the platter !You can review the full menu - and prices- on their website. Imran, the server, was great at advice and service. They also offered complementary tea at the end.

My husband and I had been looking for an authentic Turkish restaurant in Ottawa for years. Recommended by a friend, we dined in this place last year, and we gave it a second try this year. It was not exactly what we had in mind, the food was ok, not a big fan of the French fries, we thought it was not related to Turkish cuisine. And they could use some more charming traditional Turkish decor items

The food was great here, we had Mixed Grill Family Platter, Veg Pide, Fries, Kunafa, Turkish coffee. Served by Tunahun, a cheerful and wonderful guy there. The price tag seemed a bit hefty here. We were visiting from Toronto, and this menu took us back to the Middle East. Thanks.

Last night was my 2nd time at this place. We showed up with no reservation and asked for a table for 15 people. They made it happen. The food was AMAZING! We split a few platters and everyone was happy and left very full.The prices were very reasonable. Our waiter, Emrah, was super attentive, funny and an overall happy guy! What a pleasure to have him take care of us. Please come check this place out!

I and four family members ate at TKH yesterday evening. We started out with the delicious lavash bread with cac k and spicy ezme mezes, followed by beef shish, beyti sarma kebab (both with bulgur), chicken shish wrap with fries, and narda salad. We finished with künefe and sutlaç, washed down with delicious Turkish coffee and tea. Everything was absolutely delicious. Emrah took great care of us: the service was prompt but not annoying and he had a great sense of humour. The one thing I would change would be to somehow have the noise of people chatting softened with some sound-absorbing material, maybe installed on the ceiling; it was a bit hard to chat. Apart from this, it was a wonderful experience. We will be back!

Full marks for food. Very delicious and meal Size is quite big. I visited this restaurant many times and always came back happy except today when my experience was disappointing. Service was super bad with servers looking lost and directionless. Starting with server took the order quickly but no one came to serve water until I walked and requested lady at cash counter to give us water. Servers taking order was not interested to take any further order and we had to wave at him many times for help. No one came to ask if we are doing well or need any help. Server taking empty plates tried taking the plate while one of the guest with me was still eating her food. I feel the owner of this place not being there could be the reason why servers lacked the motivation to serve the customer with usual service they offer.

Is the first and best Turkish restaurant I ve EVER visited! The food is amazing and the staff are SUPER funny and kind!

Came here for dinner as a party of 6 on Friday night. The entire experience was off putting. The restaurant was very warm and it felt like the air-conditioning was off. Our server was pretty unprofessional. He took away my friends menu without us even ordering anything. Next, he recommended us dishes based on if we were going to pay separately. How did it even matter when giving suggestions? When the hummus was served, we ask for pita and he looked at us as if we were asking for something which just didnt exist. Next, your restaurant advertises a vegetarian friendly menu, there are about 3 items that are vegetarian- pide. No mains are vegetarian. Our friends had a terrible time because the pide was completely tasteless. The other items were okay. When the server came to clear the plates, he asked one of my friends for help to clear them. It was weird again. As our table was placed close to the Open sign, another server came to us to ask us to turn off the sign. When we finally asked for the bill, the server joked about the bill with our friend who was paying. Asking her to add complementary items for him too and also letting her know that she must tip. She ended up leaving a 15% tip for this terrible service. We have never been more uncomfortable at a restaurant. Our entire experience was terrible and we just couldnt wait to leave. The service and ambience of the restaurant is subpar. Items are priced pretty high for no reason. We will not be returning and will not be recommending this restaurant to anyone.

The restaurant has no air conditioning. It s really hot. You can t even enjoy your food. The service is not that good overall I give this place a zero out of 10 I do not recommend recommend at all.

this is a really nice restaurant with great service. i dont usually leave negative comments but my family and i came here twice and half of us got sick both times. originally we brushed it off but after it happened again its hard to ignore. i m not jumping to any conclusions but that was our experience so unfortunately we wont return.

The manager and the workers of this restaurant shouldnt FORCE their own taste on the customers. This is not authentic. I bought two doner wraps and asked them to add some yogurt sauce on the wraps, so they dont become dry. They REFUSED and FORCED their way. Wraps were dry and not as tasty. They said they keep their food authentic. Customer has the right to enjoy the food which he paid for especially if he was not compelled with some of the ingredients. That was not fair and desrepectful. Also adding Cavendish fries from Costco is not authentic at all. Thats ridiculous

We eat here all the time and they have some of the best selection of turkish dishes we miss from home. The food quality is very high and the complimentary pide and mezzes are great. However beware that these are not sent with your food order if you order home or takeout. Same with bulgur pilavi which was missing from the ordered iskender, making the $42 a bit too steep just for the iskender kebap. Otherwise, great dine in location.

The beef shish was raw , hard to chew very test less. I think they don t care about customer. I would give 1 star . Very disappointed. We were warmly welcomed and treated to delicious bread and dips before our moist and flavourful chicken. The fragrance from the grill and the open kitchen was very appetizing and everything was very clean and in good order. Our server was excellent. He was helpful to us as there were a few unfamiliar words on the menu and quite generous to ensure, despite our small appetites, we experienced the mezes. He was totally understated which was more in line with an elegant room. All in all an excellent treat for an authentic experience. Thank you!

This place is incredible!! Two things! 1.) the food is incredible. So much value for your money, everything is so flavourful, fresh and hot. Prepared so quickly. 2.) Incredible staff who make the experience even better. The servers are respectful, helpful, polite and always there when you need something. I recommend this place to everyone!

Ordered the 2 person BBQ and it was more than enough food for the two of us. Was a great way to try a sampling of a good chunk of their menu and everything was hot and fresh and tasty. Service was also extremely fast and attentive. There was no chance our water glasses would ever be empty.

My wife and I had our super in the Turkish kebab House Kanata. The food was amazing and the service was perfect. We enjoyed the perfectly marinated and cooked meet served on burgul in a perfect temperature. The Kunafa and turkish tea made it right closing for our super. I encourage you to come here and enjoy the food.

Had an amazing experience at this restaurant with a big group, including a toddler and a kid. The atmosphere is perfect for families comfortable and welcoming, even with little ones! The food was delicious, and as a first-timer at a Turkish restaurant, we were pleasantly surprised with complimentary appetizers. The staff went above and beyond with their friendliness and helpfulness, making the service exceptional. Our food arrived quickly, and despite coming with a group, we didn t have to wait long for seating. If youre looking for a great place to dine with family and friends, this is the spot! We had such a good time!

The taste of the meat was too fatty. The service was annoying because the waiter kept standing in front of our table and staring at us, which was uncomfortable. They added a tip to the bill without informing us, and the manager wasn t very friendly when we asked why.

One of the top restaurants in Ottawa. The Beyti Sarma kabab is the best thing on the menu, next is Adana kebab. They also have free appetizers on the house. Menu is a bit overpriced but the quality and taste justify it. We always come back.

The place was packed to the brim when we went. The food was excellent and so was the service. I recommend the iskender kebab and the beef adana kebab, both mouth watering and flavourful. Visited this restaurant yesterday for the first time. The service was amazing and the food was top notch. I had the kanafa for desert and it was amazing. A little expensive but worth every dollar. I will be back to try more options.

To the point where it would be right to say it was truly perfect, the experience at this restaurant deserves more than a 5. Personally, if I were a member of the Michelin rating committee, I would give this restaurant 3 stars. First, to evaluate the atmosphere of the restaurant, the staff greets you with a smile from the entrance and guides you to your seat. There is no unnecessary hassle in the process, and when you sit down, you are very surprised by the neat management of the restaurant. The tables and floor were in excellent condition, and I had never seen a place so cleanly maintained in the entire United States and Canada. The food is also top notch. I had 2 kabobs as main menu, Turkish pizza, and Turkish coffee at the end, and the quality and taste of the food was really great. It is by far the best Turkish restaurant I have ever eaten in around the world. The balance of pizza dough, flavor, and toppings was excellent, and even the baking of the dough was not criticized. Also, the kabob meat tastes great without any unpleasant smells. Lastly, service and price. The service was good enough to warrant a tip, but it was to the point where I felt sorry for not being able to give much. The waitress and waiter I met when I came to Canada was the best. I thought he was very professional as he was relaxed enough to talk to the children while making eye contact, and was not overbearing enough to give them the service they wanted when they wanted it. Food prices are also the best. I think this is really cheap. I recommend it, and you could even visit Ottawa just to try this restaurant.

So they have definitely improved the quality compared to last time I was there a few months ago. Kudos to the attention of the staff. They are doing very good job. Didn t try the Iskander this time, last time the tomato sauce was a bit on the heavy side. All items we ordered were good. The kunafa was ok.

Why did you change the ingredients of your Iskandar plate? I ordered today and it came soaked in ghee rather than butter which I can t stand it s taste, it has totally changed the taste of iskandar and hurt my stomach, I vomited after few hours of ordering the food at home and the meat wasn t cooked well! I wasn t happy today at all with my order and made me terribly sick.

This was my first time trying Turkish cuisine and TKH did not disappoint. The food was very flavorful. Even the kids enjoyed it. We had the family of 4 platter which was generously portioned. The Baclava was also delicious. To top it off the service was excellent, the restaurant clean and nice with the music in the background giving the perfect atmosphere. The views from our seat added to the great experience. Kid-friendliness: My kids enjoyed the wings and the mixed side.

Went this evening, service was impressive, offer new plates between courses and wipe the table off before offering dessert, got the platter for 2 and split between 4 people with a pide on the side and still left with a takeout box! Very generous portion that doesn t lack any flavour!

Amazing and delicious food, worth the price and the quantity was just too much..Mouth watering Turkish delicacy.. amazing customer service..as it was the start of the weekend, there was too much rush and noise.had to wait for 7 minutes to get a table. I really liked the taste which was unique and up to the mark. Vegetarian options: There are plenty and the best was the eggplant starter. Dietary restrictions: You can advise them of your special choices. Parking: You might not find parking on a busy day...so please be prepared. Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly, it has a high chair, but kids would have to stick to their chairs. Wheelchair accessibility: It is wheelchair accessible.

I visited Turkey and I ate there but my experience in this wonderful restaurant exceeded my expectations. I took my guests there and it was the best food they have ever eaten and they are high profile foodies. Thank you for the delicious meal and the amazing service and bravo to management.

First time having Turkish food. Absolutely amazing! The Kebab was delicious as we expected. Struggled a bit when picking the dessert for the night, they all looked very nice. My partner and I ended up with sharing one rice pudding. The portion was big, goes well with the tea. We will 100% go back.

It was my first time eating Turkish food. There was plenty of staff who provided amazing service. They were helpful with the menu. Food was large portions and delicious. Ill definitely be back!

The food was amazing. The bread was awesome. The hummus was beyond amazing! We ordered the sharing platter for 4, the salad with walnuts, pizza and the beef satay I. The bulgur was great. All of the food was awesome. Service was very good. We waited 30-40 minutes on a Sunday night to sit but it was worth it.

Amazing restaurant with great food and staff. We tried mixed grill platter for two, which was enough for 3 persons!

Our group split the $150 four person platter three ways thinking we could handle it and we ended up with enough leftover food for a 4th person after all. Absolutely delicious, service was attentive and friendly, a great experience that left us feeling well fed and quite satisfied.
