4049 Carling Ave, Kanata, ON K2K 2A4, Canada
Spacious, modern restaurant offering Thai & Vietnamese noodle & rice specialties, including pho.
One of the best Pho places I've been to, the interior decor is fascinating, service was really quick (5min wait for food) and they have an awesome spicy coconut seafood pho.
Large portions, very tasty and well presented. The fried spring rolls were the best I've had.
We have been loyal customers of Kanata Noodle House for several years, primarily ordering takeout. The food has consistently been delicious, with generous portions for the price. However, during our most recent visit, we were disappointed with the chicken and shrimp pad thai, which only had 1.5 shrimps. This was unexpected and left us feeling quite dissatisfied, especially given our previous positive experiences.
Wow! Don’t let the exterior put you off. When you walk in it is large and clean. Attentive wait staff. The food was fast and amazing. One of my new favourite restaurants.
Im from toronto, ive had my fair shares of pho restaurants across the GTA. However, this is the first Vietnamese restaurant ive been to where i legit couldnt finish the portion. I ordered the lemongrass porkchop with fried egg on rice. And boy oh boy, the rice is alot. And yeah i mean alot. Both porkchop and egg came in 2!!! Plus, i also ordered their vietnamese fried spring rolls. That was delicious. Me and my family were quite grateful for their hospitality in accomodating our little furry friend to dine with us in their cozy patio setup. Lastly , the price. At first, dont expect toronto/gta pho prices. Its alittle higher than what we are used to paying. BUT ! due to the portions and quality of their food, It was one of those rare instances where you actually get what u pay for. If ever we're in the neighborhood again, i wont hesitate to come back here. It's very delicious. The staff were also very welcoming 🙏🏻. Thank u guys for an awesome dinner.
Our group of 25 had an excellent lunch at the Carling Ave location of the Kanata Noodle House. The menu is extensive (I thought I had ordered the pad thai, which I had before, but I received a regular stir fry which was a bit bland ... the menu was a bit confusing). Another guest had trouble with her order (her handwriting on the order may have been hard to read?? not sure what the issue was) and the waitress was a bit rude about it which was unnecessary! For the atmosphere, it was quite loud at lunch time as it was packed inside and everyone was talking ... but back to the food! The food was freshly prepared and very generous portions. They have thai basil, lime wedges and spicy peppers to add to the pho. There was so much food that we all had enough to take out after the meal. They had a full bar and someone at our table had a Tiger beer which they really enjoyed. Nice outdoor patio too
Checked out the Kanata Noodle House recently and really enjoyed the experience. It has a nice balance between a casual and classy atmosphere, plus it's super clean. The staff were friendly, adding to the welcoming vibe. We tried a mix of dishes - S14 Tom Kha Gai Chicken red Thai curry, #1 beef Pho, D9 Curry Chicken vegetable with rice, A3 deep fried vegetable spring roll, #16 vegetable tofu Pho, and #42 Seafood Egg Noodle - and each one was delicious. What impressed us the most was how quickly the food came out, without compromising on taste. The kids especially loved the Pho noodle soup and were big fans of the boba tea. Definitely a great spot for a family meal. Looking forward to our next visit!
Update: The best thing on the menu is s14 but replace the regular chicken with grilled chicken. Also tried their grilled prom rice paper wrap time tine and really enjoyed it. Original review: Went for dinner and the service was quick and friendly. The place was spacious and clean, which is refreshing. This place has a huge menu with some great spicy and vegetarian options. Their specials are really tasty. We ordered S4, S11 and S15, which were all delicious. I'm looking forward to trying more from them.
Fast service, hot and delicious food!
Good pho, horrible service. Went at 430 for early dinner with a friend. After they dropped our food off the literally never came back. Never got more water, never asked anything or anybody nearby. After 2h we had to ask how to pay and for a takeout box. They never removed any dishes or anything before that, our server just went to work the cash. Like we were stuffed into a corner and forgotten about
Disgusting food. The chicken is tough and clearly boiled.
Generous portions, great flavour and lots of options. The service was great. Vegetarian options: Available Parking: The entrance is very easy to miss.
I got the beef stir fry and the plate was large for the price! Loved it. I also had pho before and its good.
Sometimes its messy, food is okay I guess
We sent to KNH for dinner and I had the Bún Th t N ng (which is grilled pork and rice noodles with vegetables). The service was quick especially given the size of the group, and the servings are very generous for the price. The ingredients were all prepared nicely and there was lots of the sauce (I think it is called N c Ch m) which I like. Outside the restaurant still looks a little like the former Local Heroes but inside I think is newly renovated. This restaurant is also a great place to get lunch if you work nearby. Thanks!
I always order takeout from there. Last time I dined in and the service was terrible. No water was given. Never came to ask if anything else is needed. While paying the bill I didn t notice but they charged a extra 20% without permission. What a SCAM!! Be careful when you are paying bill!
Very good
Always my option when craving Soup noodles! I already introduced this place to everyone and even my family who was visiting me from abroad. I have tried other places that are not bad but the beef broth here tastes fresh and really well made. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheel chair friendly.
Food is not clean had stomachache after.
This review is strictly for the service. The food is decent. We placed an online order almost an hour in advance for a certain pick up time. We get there at the exact time and are told that they have to make the desserts and drinks because they didn t want to make it ahead of time - didn t want it to melt.. but the whole point of placing an order in advance is so that we wouldn t have to wait. And even so, waiting another 5-10 mins is no big deal. But we had to wait another 20 minutes as they proceed to make everyone else s drinks in the store before ours. How does that even make sense considering we placed our order in advance and are currently waiting? Things like this is what makes me never return to an establishment. Next time, just have the desserts and drinks ready for online orders. No body planning ahead wants to wait at all.
I really want to like this location as it s closer to my house. But the food here is not the same as the other location. We were there today for dinner and ordered number 10 and s11, both were noodles, the noodles were cooked pretty good, however the soup was very watery and lack of flavor. I ve been eating at this location a couple of times in the past, in general, the food is not as good as their Hazeldean location. We have been intentionally driving further to Hazeldean for better food, but regret for today s laziness.
This is one of my favourite restaurants to visit. Delicious food, quick service, and a calming and quiet atmosphere.
The food was good. But whoever cashed my group out made us all tip 15%. Normally I do between 15-20%, but I found it inconsiderate of the person to select it for each of us. No where in the restaurant or on the menu does it say gratuity added, so that s just weird.
We ordered veg tofu crispy egg noodles with oyster sauce and veg tofu pad Thai. Egg crispy noodle was not nice and it was stinking. I couldnt eat. My husband ordered pad Thai where tofu was not nice as well. That was not the first time we were eating these dishes here. So I raised a concern with the server that its stinking after ensuring that its stinking but no action were taken and not even acknowledged in a right manner. I did pay for the dish and while paying another server pitched in and asked me whether I was done with the dish. I said I didnt like it and no further questions asked like whats wrong with the dish etc.? Instead he just left the place. It made me rethink why I paid service fee! One of the worst day for me because of this food. I am burping again and again because of the little portion I consumed even when I am writing this review.
We go there really often with our two little kids. The servers are always friendly and happy to help whatever I ask them. We always end up with a big mess on the table. However, they are kind enough to clean them with smily face. The food is great. Great portion with the price. Kids love the noodles. Im always happy to go there with my kids.
I like this place. It is not fancy. But I like the food and very friendly people who work there.
Staff so so. Very abrupt. Tips are added automatically to the final bill with no option available to you. Food was great. Good size portion for soup.
Amazing soup. Always good. Deep fried banana is delicious
Really? This place worth a five star? That can t be true. Food is Ok but definitely not the best Pho. Server gave wrong food and insisted that is what I ordered until he double check.
Great pho! Been drinking in and having takeout for years now, still going back for more. plenty of parking. Food
The place seems to have run down, unable to maintain quality.
Ordered a large rare beef and beef brisket pho, with a side crispy spring rolls. The food arrived quickly and was pretty good. Just the broth of the pho was lacking a bit.
I enjoy the size of this location, but don t understand why they don t have beer on tap. Prices have increased and the amount of meat in their dishes has increased.
Good, authentic Vietnamese noodles.
Parking: Lots of parking. Food
We have been going to Kanata Noodle House both locations since the bought out they Phenom Penn Location So my family has been their customer since the onset. Since after Covid their quality of food and specially customer service and attitude has deteriorated substantially. To the extent that I have now decided to find a new Vietnamese Cuisine restaurant as we really enjoy the same. My most current experience was the worst , they charged me $1.42 for an extra fish sauce I requested. But they never put the sauce, a when I called them to request they send me the same (< 2 kms from my house). They said we can put a fish sauce on my account and then they Hung Up. Hanging up means we don t care poor very poor customer service. They also added 2 chilly oil inspite of my request of 3. In the restaurant this is unlimited available on every table.I hope the owner reads this to improve his customer service and food quality.
Fast reliable friendly service always.
The Pho was amazing with great service. You can t beat the prices. Great food for the price. The only issue was the atmosphere. Maybe not the best for date night, but if you re looking for an affordable and delicious meal then this is the place.
We absolutely love the Beef Pho and the shrimp spring rolls. Will be returning again.
Were long fans of Kanata Noodle House going back nearly 15 years at this point, going back to the first location. 2 adults 2 kids, what we do is we order 2 big dishes, ask for 4 plates, and share. More than ample amount of food and it tastes awesome. Our go-tos keep on being the same ones: D, F8, and C2. D is Pad Thai, chicken with shrimp. F8 is this crunchy noodles with chicken and vegetables in oyster sauce - its to die for its that good. C2 is a simple dish with rice and steak slices. I do have to ask the staff to turn down the music or change it sometimes, but theyre happy to that, so dont be shy and ask. Given 3 dishes feed 4, and its a bit of an odd arrangement, it works, and the end cost is decent for what you get.
From the outside place doesnt look that nice but actually inside I was impressed. Good food and service
Classic go-to and very consistent
Love both locations! My fave Vietnamese and SEA cuisine
Great place. And service is always fast
Food was good. Service was not great. Blunt answers, no care to be hospitable. When asked for cheque a finger was pointed towards the counter. Food : 5/5
Good place for pho. Flavor is more on the mild side.
Amazing. I think this is going to be our favorite pad Thai place from now on.
Super yummy pho! The other dishes also look good, but I always get pho with rare beef and brisket!
Best value in town. Great service, delicious pho. Lots of room, space between tables.
The plates were big and full of food I couldnt eat all mind And very good food also Food : 5/5
Very quiet even while its full of people. The staff are very kind and service is impeccably fast!
If you re looking for a Pho restaurant with fast service, friendly staff, spacious seating, great atmosphere for any type of outing, and consistently delicious soup with generous proportions, look no further. You got the right place. My family and I have been regular customers for around 6 years, Kanata Noodle House never disappoints. S14 with grilled pork instead of chicken (pro tip you can always modify dishes on the menu according to your preferences, to a certain extent of course) and number 9 have been our go-to soups ever since we stepped foot into the restaurant. I can also vouch the pad thai is absolutely amazing, as well as the grilled pork/chicken vermicelli. Make sure to grab some fortune cookies on the way out!
Great food and fast service
I like their Vietnam noodles soup , taste good & reasonable price.
I went to the Carling location for dinner with my mother, and the customer service was atrocious. When we went to pay, the server pointed in a vague, general direction of where we were seated and asked us if we had sat there. Upon saying yes, he billed us for the wrong table. We returned to politely inform him and he proceeded to exclaim that we had misled him and told him we sat at the wrong table. He said that he, quote on quote, had just returned working at this location and was unsure of the seating arrangement. He did not give us any form of apology. As a matter of fact, he was unable to refund my mothers VISA and gave us back cash. His behaviour was rude and unprofessional; instead of apologizing for his mistake, he proceeded to let us know quite loudly that we were in the wrong. As an employee representing this restaurant, he should know how to bill customers accurately and understand how to treat customers. For instance, I wouldnt work as a receptionist and then proceed to tell clients that I didnt know how to pick up the phone. My money is better spent in an establishment that knows how to treat customers.
This is a Kanata Gem. The Pho Broth is delicious and the beef always fresh. Service is quick and always with a smile.
Very disappointed this evening. Restaurant says they close at 9pm. Went in at 8:30pm for dinner. Were told they only do take out after 8:30pm, no Dine in. Nowhere is that listed on the website. If it was clearly mentioned, there would be no issue. Real shame because the food is very good. Maybe someone wanted to close early on a slow Sunday...
We ordered a take out of combo of chicken and rice noodle pho and chicken friend rice with veggies Such a common order is really difficult to go wrong. Below are the things we noticed: 1) No rice noodles provided 2) The extremely poor way they packaged made the pho and rice and food spill into the outer white plastic bag. 3) Boiled unsalted chicken was provided in a container. Chicken broth was provided in another container Sprouts and basel leaves were provided in torn transparent plastic bag( picture attached). This seemed as if they did not have any proper packaging items and had to literally tear a plastic bag in 2 parts so that they can tie the contents. Whenever we have ordered pho or any Vietnamese/ Thai food, I never had to do it like DIY project, add the ingredients and heat and make your own pho! Pho usually comes with everything in it except the rice noodles that come separately. Eating saltless flavourless chicken dipped in chicken broth was the last thing I expected! Even when I did, my kids refused to eat it ...I had to cook something else for them to feed them before bed. After a long hardworking frustrating Sunday with kids, all I needed was some good food to eat at the end of the day. This was really unacceptable! I called the restaurant and they offered me a discount for later orders. But I refused as I am never going to order again from them. I dont know if they will even consider even half refund for the spilled food that we could not eat. I have not heard from them or seen any reverts/refund deposits in my account. Highly disappointing and frustrating night!
Pad thai is good, pho is good, rice noodle dishes are good. Never been disappointed here.
The restaurant delivers good quality food and service over the years. The caring place is normally less busy, my top pick in Kanata area.
Love Kanata noodle house. Both locations are great. its great for dine in and takeout. The bubble tea is good. The thai seafood soup is my go to order, but the pho and vermacelli dishes are also delicious. Best restaurant in its category that I have tried in the Ottawa area.
What a lovely place! Great vibes, staff is super friendly and fast, food is delicious.
Id give 5 stars for their noodles but 1 for their bubble tea. The bobas were as hard as rock and there were clumps of hardened sugars at the bottom. Overwhelmingly sweet as they mix the flavoured powder with cups of sugar. These are definitely not to be sold for.
This place was lit! Great service, good food! B9 Food : 5/5
I love pho soup. And this one of my favourite places to have. Fast service
Drove two and a half hours back to Ottawa for a visit. Couldn t resist getting some rice paper wraps.
Great food, good size portions and quality. I would not recommend the rice and steak, but the Pho options are great.
Good service. Large portions, but Ive had tastier Vietnamese and Pho.
Food was good.
This is a great spot to stop in for lunch. Always get your meal quickly and the food is always good.
Delicious, fresh food and good portions. Well priced.
Portions are great, I only visit when I am sick. But the food is worth it all year round. If you can finish a large in 1 sitting... hallow legs. Spicy rare beef and shrimp egg noodle is my favorite.
I recently visited Kanata Noodles House and had a pleasant experience. The restaurant has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The menu offers a good variety of noodle dishes and toppings to choose from.
I like it but I find it pricey.
Food poisoning
One of best places for Pho Ive ever been to!! Absolutely delicious and the portions are very generous as well. The service is great and efficient. Youre served green tea right after being seated, which is lovely. I found the place very spacious and comfortable. Parking: Free parking located behind the building
This is my favourite restaurant in Ottawa hand down. So delicious!!!!
Love the Kanata Noodle House. Come here often with friends. The food isnt overly expensive and always tastes great!
Pork spring rolls were excellent. Soups very flavourful and huge sizes. I left a lot of noodles in the bowl too much.
Restaurant attempted to add 30% forced gratuity charge due to group size. Thats a $24.00 charge for an $18.50 meal, and they attempted to conceal this from me at the debit machine by grabbing the machine from me and punching it in quickly. This charge was not revealed up front, and it is beyond exorbitant. The server was rude when confronted about it. Otherwise great restaurant, but thats shady practice that shouldnt be tolerated and I wont be returning.
Best pho soup in Kanata. Rapid service et great menu
We biked there. Its really good but dont bike there.
The place is nice and well-spaced inside. The staff are courteous and polite. Pho is average. I liked the presentation of the shrimp salad roll and appreciate that they cut them in halves. Food
I have to say that I was really looking forward to eating from here because I ve heard a lot of good things. I ordered my favourites - chicken vermicelli and rice wraps. The rice wraps were mainly hard and the chicken rubbery and tasteless. The vermicelli was decent I ve had better but I ve also had worse. There were hard patches of vermicelli in it, which I mainly ignored since day two is usually better anyhow once you add the sauce. The final straw for me, though, was the lovely hair found underneath the spring roll. I d love to say that it was one of ours, but in a household of blondes, a small dark hair is not found here! For the cost and the high rating, I expected much more and needless to say, was thoroughly disappointed and disgusted.
Nice place. A tone of ppl during weekdays Edit. Will never go here again! This restaurant was our favorite one in Kanata. Basically none alike in Kanata. They had fantastic noodle, many many different dishes, and large parking lot. Really had everything we loved, and thus we went there often. However, after COVID the food went to S***. We tried twice ordered our favorite special noodle on different days. OMG we felt we were served with left over from their dump! The taste of soup was sour; the meat was weeeeks old I swear; the veggie was only given bean sprouts and were soggy; and OMG the quantity... extra large size was basically given a medium size portion, especially for the meat. We phoned in to report the issue. Especially the first time our intention was ONLY to inform the situation and asked them to check their soup; the response was however absolutely rude and completely neglected. A few month later, we were tired of cooking. Very unfortunately this is really the ONLY restaurant we liked in Kanata. Therefore we thought to give one last chance to try and ordered the same soup and a grilled dish... The soup STILL tasted weeeeeeks old and disgusting; and the pathetic quantity for everything with overly inflated price made this our final order from this restaurant.
Pho choices will not upset you, definitely must try. Pad Thai was delicious. Rice paper wraps were also good. My expecation from the coconut soup vas higher. Fried roll were just OK. Due to road construction nearby the patio was dusty.. Service guys are nice, expect them to improve their English soon..
Very disappointed. They messed up my order on several items and brought shrimp wonton soup after I told them my daughter cant eat shrimp and then wouldnt admit their mistakes. The staff were rude and the bathrooms were uncleanly.
Despite being called Kanata Noodle House 2, I prefer this location over the other one. The noodles were great, along with the other foods like rice dishes, or even the appetizers. The portions given are perfect for yourself, a date, or even a big family.
Was very mid, I had high hopes since I ve heard a lot of good things about this place but it was a let down unfortunately. The broth is as not warm as it should ve been and the beef and noodles were overall very mid. The fortune cookie was honestly better than the pho itself.
Friendly service, large portions but the meat is absolutely horrible quality. Out of 3 diners, 2 of us removed the meat and just ate the rest of the broth and veggie. I wish I could give a better review but it wasnt just one visit its been several.
Good food but no longer the value it once was. With inflation prices are rising everywhere and here is no exception. Maybe even up a little more than expected. The pho is still flavourful. We enjoy the bun as well for something lighter and healthier. It looks like they cut down on the meat a bit though. If you enjoy a lot of meat I would say now it is maybe just about right. The Thai style soup noodles are very flavourful and spicy. Overall its still the go to Vietnamese restaurant for us.
Great noodles and service.
Staffs are very kind.
This is THE best place in Ottawa to have the noodle soup. The food is always fresh, delicious, and full of flavour. Portions are very generous. Service is fast and efficient. They serve everything with very good tea. Their rice dishes are very decent, too.
Quick service and delicious pho
Very quick service, yummy and wide variety of food and nicely aligned seating arrangement. The only caveat: soups are chicken or beef broth, so even veggie soups are not really vegetarian!
Excellent food. Kind waiters. Very pleasant atmosphere.
The restaurant was clean and the sitting areas were very nicely presented. We were seated quickly and served quickly. The meal (we both ordered pho) was generally very good but the beef tendon for both my brother and I tasted off. We both ended up picking them out of our meals. The rest of the meals and the service was great however. This was also the only instance where this occurred so hopefully it was a one off. Parking: They recently redid the main road and the repaved the entrance into the parking lot, no lines but at least no more potholes
Our tea pot was a little leaky on the bottom, but everything else was perfect!!! Great quick staff, beautiful atmosphere, the portion sizes are huge for the very forgiving price. The place was full by the time we left. The food was very very good, I had S18 beef egg noodle soup. Beef was melt in your mouth quality! Parking: The entrance to parking is funny but ok Kid-friendliness: The baby infront of was happy looking at the fans turn, baby seats very accessible
Best pho in Ottawa!
One of the servers was extremely rude. I believe he was not happy we rearranged tables to accommodate our large group. He knocked a glass of water over the table and no apology, he sounded like it was our fault causing him to knock over the glass. The noodle was in small pieces, I ve never seen pho like that. Overall he just lost a large group of customers.
Great food, fast service.
Always order S14 it s always fantastic
Delicious food! Great little spot.
That is too bad, because this used to be a great restaurant. My advice is to try Phu-Yen instead. Better prices, less confusion, always good service, for the better part of this century! Unfortunately, the last few times at Kanata Noodle House have been a disappointment, and myself and our group wont return. We had a table of 6 people. Our orders were incomplete, mixed up, and one of our plate with chicken was actually missing the chicken. One of our side never got served. It was very hard to get the waiter to understand what was missing. Time was of the essence, and we ended up starting to eat our incomplete orders. Mid-way through, and order of side chicken was added, which we assumed was for the plate that had missing chicken. Low-and-behold, when it was time to pay at the cash, some people on the group got charged for the wrong plates, and the chicken was charged extra. The cashier wasnt too cooperative. Tips was also forced (because we were a group of 6?). The whole experience was a large confusion, for something that is usually very simple in most restaurant: Paying the precise amount accounting for what we eat. Being forced to pay tip for a mediocre service isnt all that great. Not having our order isnt that great either. And having to pay extra for food that was actually include in the plate was a bit too much. Never again. There are just too many good place to go eat around to have to ever need to go back there too. If you are in the area, try Phu-Yen instead. Much better food, never confusion, and that has been true for at least 25 years.
Kahnata kahnooodle house, food was great service was good to
1 star for spilling FISH SAUCE ! all ower me and not really offering anything, just a rug to clean myself. Horrible client treatment. Not even talking about feeling embarrased in front of the whole restaurant and my friends :( Will never go there again. Food
Food was fantastic, and the service was REALLY FAST. My meal today was small, but I will return to try other items from the extensive menu.
One of the worst experiences ever. I did an online order for 2 dinner meals on September 7th for my wife s birthday and picked them up. When I went home, I found that they gave me the wrong order. They didn t even bother to call me back, and when I called them, they admitted it, so I asked them to come and pick up the wrong order or at least deliver me my correct one. They refused to do any and told me it was okay to eat it, which we didn t even like and was not to our taste. I asked for the manager, and the one answered me and told me it was closure time and I would let him call me the next day which was September 8th, and till now, no one contacted me. It is not cheap food to pay for, so at least you need to respect your customers. It was my first and last time to order from them, and I will advise the same to my colleagues and friends.
Always awesome food, caring staff and good prices. Mostly a takeout customer, but go in with friends on occasion as well. Carling location.
Ive had a grilled pork with rice two weeks ago and I found myself new favorite place. The meat is roasted just about right way. But now I just had the pho with raw meat. This noodle soup also had a great taste that I liked very much. And the zesty flavour of the broth gave me the great pleasure. Two big thumbs up!
Fast service, the tables are nice.
The food is always awesome
Amazing food Kid-friendliness: Not too kid friendly Food : 5/5 |
This is my go-to place for Vietnamese food!
Excellent Soups and stir fries!
Good is always delicious.
Asian restaurant gives excellent customer service and cook the best food.
The food was expesive given how mediocre it is. The fried rice is bland. The pad thai tofu was gross. Very overcrowded. They are always rushing you to eat and pushing you to leave as soon as possible. After horrible service they add mandatory tips to your bill and will loudly argue with you if you dont give them a big enough tip. Very unprofessional.
Very good ambiance. Went here for some impromptu office lunch with colleagues. I would recommend reserving if you are with a larger group. Service was prompt and good. There are big tv screens playing videos and stuff. Seating was comfortable. They have both chopsticks and forks/spoons at the table, so both can be used without any inconvenience or awkwardness. Place is clean and hygienic. Coming to the food, they have a good variety in their menu. Can be pricy but the quantity is a lot. Can be shared by 2 people. Also I noticed for non vegetarian items the actual non veg portion is a bit less. Like there will be huge amount of noodles but very less chicken in your chicken noodles. Overall good place to try out once in a while. Parking: Ample parking space for weekday noon.
Really good food
Amazing Pho, one of the best in the city!
Always good to add another Pho spot in the city.
We used to be a big fan of this restaurant but the quality has gone down a lot recently. Foods have got way worse. Pho soup is too washy (It tastes like meat-flavoured hot water) and Pad Thai tastes horrible, Sriracha sauce has been diluted. (Very waterly) while the price is still crazy high. $100 for 2 adults and 2 kids is not worth it at all at this restaurant. All new staffs so there might be a new owner I guess..? I felt the same way a couple weeks ago, but wanted to give it a try once again, this time it was even worse. The old good era with the good foods at reasonable prices at this restaurant has just ended.
A lot of selections of Pho. Tea is always served for free
Excellent pho and stir-fry
Amazing food with amazing service!
Great selection. Hard working and amazing staff, friendly and fast service at lunch or for takeout. Ita the perfect place to stop by for a team lunch! Plenty of seating.
I really loved our experience at Kanata Noodle House. Asked the server for a couple of recommendations, and he nailed it. Both dishes were amazing!
Soup is good, portion is alright, waiters are friendly.
I just had diner here with my spouse and I got to say, Im disapointed. I ordered the chicken special and the noodles were overwhelming and the broth tasted like the dishes didnt get rinses well. Nobody came to see us after we got our food. When we got up to pay, the cashier (who was there during most of ouf stay) did not ask how the food was a charged full price. I feel ripedoff. I recommend staying in orleans for some good pho.
We ordered at least 5 different items from spring rolls, to Pho soup, to Pad Thai, to crispy noodles + stir fry . It was all delicious and perfectly packaged for delivery where food items were separated and ready to be served by the home buyer. Perfect execution all around. Thanks to the chef!
Not as good as before. Disappointed. Only thing that didn t change is the amount of noodles
Confusing menu and conflicting guidance from staff. Food wasn t very good.
The food tasted good, the portion was significantly smaller than before and the service was pretty bad. Dessert with ice cream was served while we just started our noodle dish... So many flies, they landed on me when I was eating which was super annoying, but when I mentioned it, I was told its probably because Im wearing too much perfume... Well... I didnt... (The restaurant wasnt busy at all that day). I would not dine in over there anymore.
Great food. Great price. Our favourite Vietnamese restaurant in the city. Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options. Parking: Plenty of free parking. Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. They also show many Asian films on TV Wheelchair accessibility: Fully wheelchair accessible.
Insanely packed and busy but worth it to wait for a table. Fast service with a smile! It was great to return to th Noodle House at lunch with coworkers. It has been a long time since we dared to do so. The food is still great with quick service!
It was my first time dining in and the place is really nice and clean. The service was really fast as well
Vegetarian options: Not many vegi options
Probably the best Vietnamese Restaurant Ive been to in the West end. The S15 Tom Kha soup is awesome and so is the Bun Bo Hue and Pho. Service is always friendly and efficient. Unlike many other restaurants in the area there is plenty of private parking.
Really good pho, not as good as the OG location tho. Staff is nice, and the interior is pretty nice and open.
We ordered Pho and the vermicelli combo set. The portions were so big that we ate the Pho at the restaurant and took the vermicelli to go. The restaurant was spacious, clean, with friendly servers.
Good food.
Delicious as ever. The pho is consistently fantastic.
The food was good but the server has a little bit of an attitude. My friends first language is not English so they are a little bit sarcastic.
Portion sizes were very large and the prices reasonable. But all our dishes lacked any depth of flavour. Despite the restaurant not being very busy, service was inattentive (they didnt even offer us water). We are not likely to return.
Good food, portions and fast and friendly service. Best food for the price you can get in this city
Three of my friends and I went to dine together on Sunday afternoon, the service was poor, we did not get response when we ask something, and the most horrible thing was there was a rat running around us, it was terrible. I would not go there again in the future :(
Good and same quality every time we visited here. The atmosphere is comfortable like home here.
Good food and good service! Definitely worth a repeat visitsss
Excellent taste on food and multiple options, things came flying out of the kitchen and the atmosphere is ok, not really looks like. Vietnamese place
Friendly staff. Amazing food.
Good food, fast service, nice restaurant...
Food was great. Location was ideal for a work lunch. Portions were generous. I ordered a small pho and had enough to take home.
