Beaware of the ginger beef in the menu it doesn t say it is breaded and personally I didn t like the flavour nor the thick breaded layer my husband ordered Pho and it was way better than my dish. The service was fine

We always order their porkchops, laksa, wonton soup, and fried wontons! Basil is our family s fave lunch/dinner resto Kid-friendliness: High chairs are readily available and staff promptly serve our baby s food to keep him happy.

Disappointing Experience Poor Service and Unwelcoming Atmosphere I had high hopes for this restaurant, but unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The service was unprofessional, and the staff seemed to treat customers differently based on their appearance. It was disheartening to see servers going out of their way to smile at white customers (even when it wasn t reciprocated) while offering minimal courtesy to others. This left us feeling unwelcome and uncomfortable. On top of that, the food was underwhelming definitely not worth the price. Honestly, youd be better off asking an Asian friend to cook for you or visiting HOANG GIA, which has far superior food and service. Save your time, money, and patience by dining elsewhere..!!!

Food, Ginger beef with rice Was super dry, and tastless without the Laughable amont of sauce they gave me. The rice was cold and sticky like it was left out on the counter. Service, Poor The lady at the register was rude and off putting and made me feel like A nuisance for ordering two orders instead of combining the two into one. (Needed seperate bills for work)

Was very good. I had the beef ball pho and my gf had the lemon grass pho. Ordered them extra spicy. We were both quite happy. Both had to still add spice. But were both very delicious We also ordered a dry and fresh spring roll. The fried were delicious but the fresh rolls the meat was very dry and splintered We were not impressed at all..do not get the bbqed fresh spring roll.. as for the pho the sprouts were in there when served wich also was not very nice as we like nice crunchy sprouts served on the side and I felt I had not bin givin enough. So ask for ur sprouts ok the side. No place Ive ever bin to does that. Other than those few things to watch out for it was great. The place is nice and stylish. We enjoyed our meal.

What a great find! We stumbled upon it as we needed a quick bite before driving to Lake Country. The pho was fragrant and delish! My partner had a noodle bowl that came with 3 skewered shrimp which he planned to give to me because he doesn t care much for seafood. When the noodle bowl came, he decided to try a shrimp and LOVED it enough that he ate two before offering me a taste of the last one. There is a secret seasoning on it that is absolutely to die for and worth a return visit. This is a real winner of a restaurant! Everyone should try it

Have ordered pick up from same Basil Leaf location before. Normally love their food. Ordered online on May 3rd. Food was far below par on this occasion. Was also charged an additional $2 from Google for what I have no clue! When asked why at pick up, owner/manager blew me off, but other staff thought it was because there was an affiliation with Skip The Dishes? My email says Google?! Not going back to Basil Leaf!

Big portions well priced

Service was poor. The ladies are rude on their facial expression and the way they serve seems like they are arrogant and not happy doing their job. We tried to experiment on how she will react on our tip of $1.06 cos our bill is 88.94. And guess what she printed the receipt and show it to her colleague and laugh. Lol. She actually doesn t deserve a tip but yeah we tried to see how rude she is. Food wise food taste not great anymore. We ve been here many times but yeah it changed the soup of the Pho was very less so its kinda dry quickly because of noodles. Coffee was still perfect! Just the service really needs improvement. Be more friendly!

Not sure why rating is not high but our dining experience here is superb!! The pho is good, the vermicilli bowl, gyoza, spring rolls and the porkchop with rice are filling! Will be back for sure!

Ive quite enjoyed the Glenmore Basil Leaf a number of times, great taste and portion size, and this summer enjoyed this location once or twice, however I was quite disappointed tonight with my Red Curry Chicken. Not only had the portion size dramatically shrink, but for a $20 chicken meal, I literally had 3 tiny scraps of chicken in amongst all vegetables. The mark up must be amazing when you remove all the meat. I wont be ordering from this location again.

I came in one day, weary of the world beating me down. I was lost, the ground was cold, but my fantastic server Laura offered such warmth and joy that her service brought a smile to an old sinners face. The food was beyond excellent, I saw the face of God in my spring rolls, and I wept with joy. I think about my meal here regularly, I will definitely return next time the wind blows in the certain kind of way.

An excellent meal Parking: Fresh hot and delicious. Was a perfect meal after already eating on the road all week for work. Such fresh food and vegetables. Tasted really good and felt healthy! This was located across from my hotel. So lots of parking but I walked over.

Came here for a late lunch. Clean environment, friendly staff, and quick service. The lemongrass chicken was delicious! Juicy with good flavours. Will come back to try other things in the future.

Nice place, food okay. We went in as a family of 3. Server announced that service fee charged is 18% . We had no choice in the matter as service fee was included in the bill already. I am shocked. We did not sit separately anymore as it was announced that the service charge was to be 18% as we came in all together.

Prices have increased about 50% in the last year alone. I can t justify paying $6.00 per salad roll. I like the pho but not for $20 a bowl. I won t be back until prices are more reasonable. Our usual order was about $45 before, now we had to subtract a dish, and it was still $60. Food prices haven t increased THAT much. Felt gouged after paying the most recent bill.

Laksa is so tasty! I got it for take out. The packaging is really thoughful. I will come back to try more dishes.

My girlfriend and I have been coming here every few months for a while now. Even had our first date here! The staff are delightful and efficient. And more importantly, the food is just outstanding, always fresh, and always great portions. We look forward to coming back!

Food s are taste better at Guang and Yamato, we order crispy tofu and briaket Pho. $2,5 more ex compare to other Vietnam restaurants for largo Pho and The crispy tofu $3 more ex. But The environment and interior is better here.

Ive been looking forward to eating here for a while now, but I have to admit Im disappointed. Im 90% vegan, and there were only three vegetarian/ vegan options on the entire menu... I ordered the vegan salad rolls but was disappointed they only came w lettuce, carrots, and cucumber with noodles in the wrap. No tofu or other meat alternatives for protein. They were about a 3/10 overall. The Thai chili dip was very thick and the rolls fell apart when I tried to dip them. Crispy Tofu (no description of what that is) Yellow curry with Tofu Hopefully they can find ways to make dishes with options for no fish sauce and w Tofu for protein please, so we vegetarians and vegans can enjoy Pad Thai (options for no egg) and curries and rice and noodles dishes. Many other restaurants offer these. Some even offer vegan broth for pho, but I understand thats a large change. The small change of sauces with no fish sauce and with Tofu for protein should be easy? Love the atmosphere and staff. Would like to come back. Vegetarian options: Only 3 on menu and not stellar options

The food tasted very good. The portion sizes are huge. The customer service was excellent. The female server was very friendly and always smiling. The place was very clean. Highly recommend this place.

The best laksa soup

The food was lacklustre at best. The pho and green curry that I purchased was bland and mediocre, both tasted like they came out a bag from Walmart. If youre looking for great Asian infusion, Mad Mango is the place to go.

The food is always good, you ll never go here and be unsatisfied with your choice. One of my fav places in the city to go (it s number 3 on my list). If you like Pad Thai or Wonton Soup with a twist, here s a great place to go. The amount of care they take into plating is just the top.

We have not yet been disappointed here! Food tastes amazing and comes very quickly. Service is prompt, and you can tell they pay attention to the small details.

Ordered the gluten friendly chicken pho on skip, when it arrived there were fried onions scattered through it, so I couldnt eat it as I am celiac. Thankfully I noticed or I wouldve been very sick for days. When I called the restaurant I was told I still needed to request it be gluten free even though it was already marked gluten friendly. The woman on the phone made no effort to help, I even asked her to just send more bean sprouts/noodles..she said I would have to come pick them up. Which obviously wasnt an option, hence why I ordered it for delivery. I then requested a refund and got a total of 2.36 back from the almost 30 dollars I spent. Incredibly unprofessional and disappointing. This is why I always stick with Pho Soc Trang. Please consider changing the wording on your ordering site so people with allergies dont waste their money or accidentally eat it and get sick!

$17.99 for a large soup! Soup bowl came 3/4 full zero vwgetables, lots of onions, and green onion ..4 of the thinnest smallest grossest beef .never again ..used to be so good before it moved

Salad roll with prawn is good. I m not a fan. There is no mint and the sauce has fired onion in. Crispy tofu is too deep fried for me and little bit salty but good (if you like tofu like I do) overall. Laksa is creamy and has strong South Asia flavor. The soup is rich with chicken, eggs and crispy fired tofu in it. Too strong for me but husband enjoyed it - he is not a fan of my homemade laksa lol. PHO! My favorite among the four. The spicy lemongrass option just adds lemongrass in the Social beef option, and some hot spice I guess. We both love it. The beef slice and beef ball are really tender and flavorful. The soup looks light though, it tastes very fresh and rich. I added mint and lots of lime juice in - made it much better I m sure. I highly recommend this restaurant for south east Asian noodles.

Got Spicy Lemongrass Pho based off the recommendation from the server. Totally amazed. Great balance of flavour and spice (I got medium but you can choose mild or spicy). Beef balls and beef were exceptionally standout. Thoroughly enjoyed this, highly recommend.

Best food Ive ever had thank you

The presentation of their food is very good. But I feel it lacks meat. Also the only reason for the 2 stars is because the waitress that I had tonight was quite rude and pushy which majorly ruined my dinner. I came in after work for a nice relaxing dinner while I could go through emails. She threw the menu on the table and walked away. I then got on the phone and was on it for about 3-4 minutes and she then came and stood at the end of the table while I was on the phone. I could tell she wanted my order but I hadn t even had a chance to look at the menu yet. I then had to put my phone down and say I need a few minutes again she appeared to give me attitude. The restaurant only had 1 other table filled at the time so it s not like I was keeping them from seating others. I then ordered an appetizer and dinner. I was about 1/4 of the way through my appetizer when she came with the entree. I wanted a nice relaxing evening while eating but I felt like she was rushing me and throwing food at me when she could see I was still Enjoying my appetizer. I was 3-4 through my meal and she then brought the bill. I said, do you guys have a dessert menu? She says no, I then say can I order something to go? She says sure, I then look at her and ask her for a menu. She acted like I should have known it and she rolls her eyes. She then brings the new bull before the Togo meal comes. I then tip 20% for the dinner and Togo so she really got a much higher percent tip and I say thank you very much, it was delicious, and she again rolls her eyes, says OK and walks away. She didn t thank me for roughly 20% tip despite being rushed through dinner and not offering refills or anything. I then thank her and she says OK and storms off. She really needs an attitude check and definitely needs to learn how to be pleasant with customers. I was willing to look by everything but when I gave a more than generous tip for terrible service and all I get is an OK that s what really frustrated me. Good food, wish there was more meat, but girl needs to be trained or not be in this line of work. It definitely ruined the experience for me and now unfortunate the establishment has a 2 star review because of her.

TOTAL Bad service. Servers are neglecting selective customers . The service attitude of employees directly affects the reputation. There are two young waiters, one male and one female. The male lacks enthusiasm and smiles, but it is acceptable. The female is just telling you in her behavior that you re not welcome, totally unacceptable. I feel that I will never step into this restaurant again in the future. Most importantly, the attitude of of the servers and mediocre quality of food affects the reputation BIG TIME **** yeah right. continue keep making up stories. i ain t gonna visit u guys again

Service was decent, but the food was honestly..... horrendous. We had Pad Thai and Sesame Chicken and it was honestly really bad (hate to say it). The pad thai tasted like ketchup and it was really bad to the point where we only took two bites. The sesame chicken is what you get at fake chinese restaurants served on rice and lettuce. The food can definitely be improved if the menu was recreated. But as of right now, it was a really bad experience and a big disappoint espicially since we were visiting and it was our only lunch at Kelowna.

A gem in Kelowna to satisfy some Asian food taste buds. Service was quick, seatings are spaced out. The parking stalls at this mall is so narrow that small car could barely fits.

We ordered vermicelli bowl today, they don t know how to cook the vermicelli and it was really tough to chew, it tastes like they forgot to boil and put the soaked vermicelli directly in the bowl very disappointed. The pho was good, the soup base was flavourful and they are serving the beef raw the right way. Service was efficient.

If youre looking for legit Pho, this is the place! I was surprised how good the pho broth tasted. Good balance of spice and beef fatty goodness. I order the Sate Pho, amazing good. Light, spicy, with a good hint of lemongrass. This is as OG as it gets. If youre looking for the thick peanut sate, this is not it. Im usually a big fan of the thicker sate broth but this is freshening and light. Good ratio of meat and noodles. Of all the pho places I visited in Canada, this place gives you jalapeno peppers with basil as a side garnish, love it! Gives you the nostalgic feeling of how Pho is served in the US.. Super friendly staff and excellent service.

Very good, have ordered take out a couple times and it has always been great! Tricky ordering Vietnamese to go as the spring rolls sometimes get soggy but theyre perfect every time. I ordered the Vermicelli Noodle Bowls and add extra spring rolls cause theyre so good! Minus one star because I ordered the Ginger Beef and it came with the sauce just slopped in the middle with a bunch of bare ginger beefs in the box. The meat was tender but I wasnt a fan of the sauce.

Visiting on business and wanted Vietnamese. Ate in. Pleasant restaurant. Greeted quickly. Friendly staff. I ordered the yellow curry with chicken. It was very good. Fresh veggies, tender chicken. Coconut rice was delicious. Served quickly. As good as Vancouver restaurants I ve been to. Recommended.

Very family friendly restaurant. Its clean and spacious. The food are tasty, I liked the lemon grass beef noodle, Laska, coconut shrimp, the Stir fry tofu.

Was excited to try this place after hearing good things. Was extremely disappointed. Staff was rude. First they brought my friends dish then I waited for mine, got mine a few minutes later, then my son waited 12 minutes after we got our food to get his food and when I told the server we were missing a dish we was rude and said its coming, I get things get busy but she wasnt even apologetic. My dish was over fried and dry, same with my sons. Server didnt even Apologize for the late dish or ask how the food was or even check on us once. Definitely wont be back. She gave us a dirty look when we didnt tip. What do you expect for that treatment? Yikes.

My favorite restaurant of all time. Ive been going to Basil Leaf for many years now. The owners and staff are very friendly, helpful and polite. When I call for pickup (most of the time) when I review my phone number, they will even ask if my order is Lemongrass pho, medium hot, extra large for today?? This is so personal! Not many restaurants will do this!! Highly recommend this restaurant!! They have lots of options but I always love a good, warm and spicy lemongrass pho!! Thank you Basil Leaf :-)

This place surpassed my expectations in every aspect. The servers were kind and attentive, food came out super quick and was delish. Zero complaints. I ll dream about the laksa until we can make the 4 hour trip up there again.

This was our first visit to this location,while at Medical appt, excellent food, service, clean Covid safe restaurant. Very good,, re ordered next day from Hotel Marriott, will visit again. DJ, Kamloops, BC.

Food is good but I find it to be a little overpriced. Two salad rolls for $7 is on the high end especially because the peanut sauce for them was mediocre. That s more like 3.50. I make these at home its not that pricey. Nevertheless great atmosphere in there, could do without the temperature check not sure that it will prove anything it the temperature was hot but hey I guess if it makes you guys feel safe.

Great flavors

Basil Leaf has been a favourite of mine since they first started up. Would give 6 stars if I could. They have the best pho I have ever come across. Ingredients are always fresh and of the best quality available. Service-they are gracious and always smiling. Professionals at what they do. Looking forward to lunch there again!

Definitely the best pho in Kelowna :) My partner and I come here every time were in the area because their Spicy Lemongrass Pho is so hard to beat! Their broth is delicious and refreshing. Service is also lovely, attentive, and they are quick!

Wildly mediocre and overpriced. The green curry and shrimp rolls were flavorless, the ribs were dry and looked unappetizing and the Singapore noodles were horrendous. This place is only open due to its proximity to two hotels and the lack of knowledge of unsuspecting tourists. I suggest you avoid.

There was a lot of good reviews for this place and I am so disappointed with the food. My boyfriend and I ordered the shrimp summer rolls, Thai curry, and noodles and they were frankly flavourless. The good reviews were very misleading and I wouldnt recommend this place.

Incredibly disappointed in my food and treatment today the waitress refused to serve me in the restaurant. Instead treating me as a second class citizenhaving to pay outside. The meal was actually disappointing ,as i was here under a recommendation of my boss. The veggies were fresh but the beef was so minuscule and tough almost grisly in all 3 of the meals we got and the shrimp was tough and rubbery

Was very rude on the phone and after I ordered it I reconfirmed my order and she seemed super irritated that I repeated it. But after all she got the order wrong (even after reconfirming 3 times). I ordered the Special Beef pho (exactly what it s called on the menu) and received a vermicelli dish instead.

We went at 8 for dine in..The server said we are closed its only take out.. There website says they close AT 8.30. WE WENT THERE FOR FIRST TIME..POOR SERVICE..NEVER GOING BACK..and it was empty..nobody was there..They would have easily served us. EDIT.. WE WERE JUST 2 NOT A PARTY OF 8... There were 8 people leaving at that time..it was just me and my husband..

GREAT PLACE, GOOD FOOD, GOOD SERVICE. Wanton soup and PHO soup great. Good wings, coconut prawns, and spring roles. We have become regulars there, working our way through the menu.

Food is very flavorful, vegetables and shrimps cooked the right way.

Got the vermicelli rice bowl which I prefer over pho. Was decent! I would definitely recommend and eat here again

i loved my solo eating here. they have dividers and so it doesnt feel awkward and i felt safe to just enjoy my meal. Staff were really kind to me. They also have table service so you dont go to them. Washrooms are really clean too. i would come back here again even if it was a bit more expensive.

Always order the Green curry dish, what great flavor this has. The pineapple fried rice is also very good.

I have been a regular here for at least 3 years, at both the Glenmore and highway 97 locations in Kelowna. I am totally addicted to your vermicelli bowl with the spring rolls. However, Ive noticed your prices have gone up $4 for the dish and the food quality has suffered at both locations. Those spring rolls used to be to die for. Lately they have tasted a little stale. Your staff has always been super friendly and helpful. I just wish the food was fresh and made with love like it used to be.

I would give 3.5 Stars. Tried only sesame chicken and it was okay nothing I would say great or bad. But would like to try more stuff.

This place is the best in Kelowna. There is another location as well but this one is definitely the best. They dont cheap out on the meat in the Pho which is why I always go here, the crispy tofu appetizer; curry flavor with peppers and onions is also delicious and fresh. This place is clean and the service is always so friendly! Thank you for keep it consistent Basil Leaf, great job!

Normally I would rate a 5 but tonight we had the owner serve us. She got my order wrong, she did not write our order down, and then argued with me and insisted I had ordered wrong. At first I let it go but she came back to the table to confirm our take out order which was again wrong and when I corrected her she was rude and argued with me again. The food was excellent but terrible service. In response to the owner, your server was rude and needs to write down the orders! She has a terrible memory and to prove it, it was my friend who said good memory not me! You will lose business if this awful server continues. She was rude to my friend when he asked for a copy of the receipt and shook her head in disgust! You as the owner should not be defending bad employees! She repeated back to me what I ordered which was won ton soup and I even pointed to the picture!
