I have been wanting to visit this place for a while, it is a cozy place and the food is delicious for an excellent price, the staff is nice and the service was fast Mango jam is delicious Eating at the bar facing the street offers a good view I will definitely return

My husband as been eating Pho soup for years all over and this place he said is the top 3 the flavor is amazing my husband introduced me to this soup year ago I cant get enough of it and this is the place to go I love there rare beef pho soup my favorite it was so good and waitress was on top of everything from the time we sat down the time we were done eating. My husband tryed there laksa soup and loved it they were good on suggesting on hot,medium or mild spice. Also a coworker of my husbands bought him a breakfast sandwich came back with a Pita bread breakfast sandwich and he was amazed and loved it as well This is our new place to go and eat and we come all the way from Vernon thank u see ya soon again

We came here due to the high reviews. The staff was really nice and the decor is simple. What was shocking was the food quality. I had the beef vermicelli, and was served beef bulgogi on rice noodles... the flavor worked somehow.. but it was hardly good. My son had the sticky rice which was a thawed pre-made rice ball from a supermarket, and over salty. My daughters sweet and sour pork with rice, the pork was cooked long ago and not even refried for the crisp, and was really tough since it wasnt cooked fresh. My parents had the wanton soup and the pho, and the broth was the same?? Sheer laziness... as mentioned, the only saving grace was how nice the staff was and how clean the place was. Prices were very reasonable too. Would not recommend nor come back

The best Laksa I ve ever had and a good price!

This was a highly recommended spot. Not for ambiance but for the food. I was the only one out of the 4 in our group That refused to eat here. Why? Because when I went to the rest room to wash my hands I discovered it was an open door that is attached & looks directly into the kitchen. The kitchen staff attempted to wash vegetables in a sink directly beside the toilet!!! I was so put off that I refused to eat. The three I was with enjoyed their soup however.

Came to check this place out, Upon noticing the kitchen staff was not wearing gloves. I observed he was using his phone and then handling the food with his bare hands. In post-covid world you d think the restaurant staff would have some basic hygiene when it comes to handling food. I did not eat my food.

Amazing restaurant. Delicious food and welcoming staff. The owner is also very accommodating to changes in order, seating arrangements etc. Their laksa and richard soup is a gem and definitely the best in town.

Mad Mango never fails to deliver exceptionally tasting food at very reasonable prices. They understand the balance between price and quantity (and quality) and are able to thrive while other downtown establishments seem to struggle to retain customers. Its nice to see a small locally owned restaurant survive for 20 years and counting. I hope they can make it work for another 20.

02-13-2024 Beware of Shrink Soupflation. Now I know why its called the MAD Mango. lol Laksa soup take away. Smaller container than in the past. Very few veggies, one half a boiled egg, and literally, a single tiny (very tiny) piece of what was maybe chicken. For $15.00 and the 15% default pressure tip button on the pay terminal - I suppose I hoped for better. Screwed on Soup... Thanks Justin Trudeau/Jagmeet Douchebag

Not bad but not to my taste. The curry chicken rice bowl was not really curry. It was lightly glazed, not saucy, but not at all what I expected since it was listed under soup. The roti prata was bland, it should have come with a dipping sauce. If you like spicy the laksa is a good choice.

Excellent breakfast spot. Crispy paratha and well balanced beef curry. Mango jam is a must try. Mango milkshake was also perfect and so worth it.

My family is from Malaysia. So to find a very authentic Malaysian place is very rare. Everything taste as if you got from Malaysia or my own mom made it. Was very pleasantly surprised about the amount of choices you can pick on the menu as you. If youre looking for recommendations: laksa, curry noodle soup, roti, and green onion cake.

Great food, used to be wallet friendly. The prices have increased from $20 per 2 people to $30. Which isnt terrible but its still an increase. Still dont expect all your food at once, it comes out as its made. Basic but good food. Your not going here for the bathroom but the great food.

I ve been going here since I was a kid (20+ years). Always a favourite and go to for a quick bite when I m in a rush. Top quality food that I never get sick of. Such great staff as well!

I ordered through skip the dishes the other day, in the past mad mango was amazing. This time the laksa had more noodles than broth, it was just a soggy mess. The salad rolls only had 1 prawn, the peanut sauce was super super runny. I ll never order from mad mango again. Maybe put the noodles on the side and add 1 more prawn to salad rolls.

The best laksa that I ve ever tried. Try substituting the vermicelli for rice noodles and you won t be disappointed. A little bit hole in the wall vibes. Staff was friendly and helpful. The prices are very reasonable. We shared an XL laksa between two and it was about two small bowls each.

It was the worst. The broth portion was so less in compared to the amount of noodle. And it was waaaayyy too much spicy and there was not even any warning about that. Wont be back.

I decided to check out this place during lunch time on a Sunday and luckily got the last open table. It was my first time having laksa so can t comment on the authenticity of the dish but it sure tasted awesome! Loved the coconut broth (very spicy though). Perfect for a cold winter day.

Has gone down hill. Increased prices, decreased qualitly. When you order laksa to go there is never enough broth to even call it a soup.

This little gem of a place exceeded my expectations with its great food and service. As a first-time laksa eater, I cant speak to its authenticity, but the dish tasted amazing! I particularly enjoyed the rich coconut broth. The laksa soup is a must-try! The owner and staff were incredibly sweet, which added to the overall experience.

The BEST food downtown! If you like curry, you MUST try Mad Mango. If youve never had curry, this is a great place to try it (but beware, it can get spicy)! My favourite dish is the chicken curry soup (pictured), but the Laksa is a great choice too. You can ask for less rice & extra veggies if you like, too :) If you order take out, make sure to get the rice on the side so its not soggy by the time you eat it

The food is very flavourful and is prepared quickly. Its always pretty busy, but the staff are very nice Vegetarian options: Im a vegetarian and there were plenty of delicious options available for me. Their tofu is so good. Dietary restrictions: Lots of options for those with dietary restrictions.

I love counter service places like this. And on top of that we had more of a full service than I was expecting as the kids and I were seated right away. Food came incredibly quickly and the staff were super nice and welcoming to the kids. I love all the vegetarian options.

Laska soup Amazing

During my visit to Kelowna, I stumbled upon this place, and I m glad I did! After trying their curry chicken soup, I was hooked! Great flavour portion size, and I the price is a bit unreal too! Top tier.

Treated my family to this gem of a place. I came for the last as its been a while since Ive had it. Its one of my favorite dishes and It didnt disappoint. We got French toast and steamed rice for the kids. Both were phenomenal. We ordered a large laksa and wanted to try variety and also ordered a lamb curry. It was soup based and not something I was expecting. It was very similar to the laksa. I also ordered the green onion cake. It was crispy and feel fried. Amazing texture. We also go the Vietnamese coffee! That was my favorite as it complemented the heat from the laksa. 10/10 guys. Service was spot on.

You are doing yourself a disservice if you dont try the spicy beef pho. Its divine.

I have come here for years for the delicious laksa but super disappointed this time and probably wont be back. I totally understand and support raising prices but the quality was just seriously lacking. I took it go and the broth they give you was half the size it used to be. There were two tiny pieces of chicken and 5 large potatoes, a few pieces of veg and a ton of noodles. The minimal broth didnt even cover the noodles so I threw half of it out as noodles and potato was all that was left in the bowl. Super overpriced for what you get while I can get loaded bowls of laksa elsewhere.

Wow Im so upset with you people ... I usually sit and eat at the restaurant but instead I ordered off skip the dishes for the first time and IT WAS HORRIBLE there was literally NO CHICKEN IN MY LAKSA I asked them to ad broccoli but they couldnt bother with that either and get this they never even gave me a spoon or chopsticks. Never again horrible

The laksa is great, and they dont hold back with the spice unless you ask them to. Not an easy thing to find in Kelowna. And if you do need to cut the spice, their smoothies are generous and reasonably priced.

Had their chicken curry & rice. Taste was pretty authentic (close to Malaysian chicken curry). I wouldve liked more potatoes in it though. The rice is not served in a bowl in the typical Asian way [I was asked if I wanted it served in a bowl & I misunderstood what they meant by in a bowl; apparently, in a bowl = in the SAME bowl at which the curry is served which was unexpected since I thought bowl as in rice bowl Had their fried spring rolls too, and they were good. Liked their fruit shake too since it wasnt very sweet.

Mad Mango is my favourite spot to eat downtown. The food is always phenomenal. If you havent had their laksa, you HAVE to try it. Spicy, creamy, and loaded with vermicelli noodles and juicy vegetables. I always get extra tofu and a whole egg. You can also get it with chicken and prawns, but its one of the only dishes I know where the vegetarian option is on par with (if not BETTER than) the meat option. On top of that, they also serve a really good classic diner breakfast with crispy homemade hasbrown patties. 5/5 everytime!

Mediocre food. The food used to be better but the quality has gone down substantially. It is very small and crowded, making it uncomfortable to eat in the restaurant or pick up orders. Widely considered a Kelowna staple, but dont bother!

One of my favorite restaurants in Kelowna. I pass by it on my way to work everyday and have to try to hold myself back from eating there. The food all feels like home cooked meals and you get your moneys worth! The staff are lovely and the food is really fast! The restaurant itself might be rather modest, but I love that about it. Its really clean and in an ideal location, so Im not fussed that its not modern and fancy. Feels much more homey this way. If youre ever downtown and looking for quick amazing food, I cannot recommend this place enough!

I miss you. I live in Newfoundland now and still miss your Laksa. Kelowna wouldn t be Kelowna without Mad mango!

Amazing little spot in Downtown Kelowna. Clearly authentic flavors and recipes. Quality ingredients and a team who cares about the food, this small family restaurant is not one to be missed. I stopped by for my first time at lunch to enjoy some chicken Pho with a nice cup of green tea. I was greeted warmly by multiple people, seated immediately and served my food within 10min of arrival. Soup was a great portion for lunch and price point. Service was great and I will definitely be returning to try other dishes! Highly recommend checking this place out, whether you dine in or take-out/deliver.

Food is good. Friendly service. Big portions. I work at construction site across the street. We would probably eat there more often if there was half portions at half price. Hard to get back to work sometimes when too full.

Both traditional bacon and eggs breakfast and Asian style offered. We had opted for Asian and it was phenomenal...reminding me of breakfast I had in Southeast Asia.

Whenever I visit Kelowna, I always make a point of coming here. Very friendly staff, food is absolutely delicious. I m a huge fan of Laksa soup and this place by far has the best tasting Laksa soup.

Favourite Asian inspired restaurant in all of Kelowna! I usually order the sweet and sour chicken for take out and have not once been disappointed. Fast and friendly service, awesome staff, awesome prices, and even better food. Absolutely recommend to anyone looking for some yummy reasonably priced food downtown Kelowna.

I came from Vancouver which has a vast majority of Asian food. Coming to Kelowna, I didnt really want to have asian food but let me tell you. This is one of the best Asian Fusion restaurants I had in a while. The service is also spectacular!

Consistently amazing food at a great price!

This rating is not about the food, but what I witnessed while eating. A skip driver came in and he seemed new, since he didnt bring his bag in or know where to stand. Ive worked in restaurants a long time and there is no need to yell at the people delivering your food for not knowing something right away. Skip drivers have no training, they learn as they go and for the older lady to yell at him like that wad awful and I honestly hope drivers start choosing not to deliver for them. I wont be eating there again. Ive been there quite a few times in the past and it seems they have new servers all the time. Im assuming they treat theyre staff equally, judging by the turnaround.

Don t wait in line. Come here for an awesome breakfast or an even better laksa soup. Very friendly staff and quick service!

A Kelowna staple!!!!! My go to is Richards Soup, a light curry style soup with veggies noodles and wontons. I usually go mild. Breakfast wraps are also great for on the go!

Laksa from take out was as good as it can get. They separated noodle from the soup. Although theyre busy, I did not have to wait too long. I would order it again.

I wish I could give a zero. Ordered a Billie Bowl, was told it s acvegan dish so you would think it will at least comes with veggies but nope they gave me a box full of boiled noodles. Thank goodness they give me at least 2edible spring rolls. Worst food experience and a complete rip off.

Amazing Richard soup. Every time I am feeling under the weather or just craving some good spicy curry soup with wontons chunks of beef and some hearty vegetables I make sure to stop in. Also the staff are amazing and so sweet. It can get quiet busy during lunch time and they have limited space, but you can pre order take out or order when you get there.

Dang girl that laksa so spicy that it messed up my GI tract for 3 days definitely would get it again tastes exactly like it should, but don t get it if you can t handle heat! Great place but weird hours!

Ive heard so many good things about the laksa here for years but just never managed to try it. Now I work downtown and needed lunch so I thought Id try it out. SO GOOD. Nice and spicy with lots of veggies, noodles, and some chicken, prawns and an egg. The broth is super delicious and flavourful. Ill have to try their rice noodle bowls next time as those are a favourite dish of mine, but very happy with the laksa! Also, they literally had it ready for me in 2 minutes; super fast.

This place is totally amazing .. the food is great and tasty and has big portions.. the owners remember you by name if u get lucky enough to meet one of them. And we have been going here since I moved to Kelowna in 2007. And I m a happy returning customer every time.
