Usually a favorite. This time I got the brisket sandwich. The whole thing was made with bark. It was so hard to chew,it hurt my mouth. There was zero marbling so it was completely dry. Definitely disappointed

We are from out of town. Came to meet family for dinner. Everyone enjoyed there food. Brisket was amazing and the beef ribs were large and cooked to perfection .

The one black haired waitress is just rude. Me and my 16 year old friends went there tonight and we tiped her 10% and she got so mad at us because she wanted more and she just kicked us out and said that we should never come back. This is just crazy. The food is amazing but the waitress is a no go. We re not going to come back which is sad cause we ate there several times and it was always awesome but this experience killed everything. From now on we re going to the asian place.

Amazing food Terrible service I feel bad for the cook for doing such an amazing job only for the waitress to be so rude that she told us (a group of 7 people eating today and a total group of ~10 people who wouldve otherwise returned) to go out and never come back. The story starts yesterday when we tried to eat at Memphis blues bbq for our second time. Our first time was an amazing experience with incredible food and a super nice waitress and consequently we tipped good and planned on returning sometime which happened to be yesterday. We tried getting a table multiple times already only to be refused as there wasnt enough space for seven people despite us offering to squeeze into a smaller table. When the big table finally freed up however, and we asked the same waitress who served us today whether we could sit down, she refused saying that it was still dirty and she got better things to do right now than to clean the maybe six bottles of the table and swipe over it, which as someone with serving experience like me can confidently say, wouldntt have taken two minutes. Because we had been rudely and without much consideration rejected multiple times before and now we got told by the waitress that she has better things to do we ended up not going to memphis and instead went to a super nice korean restaurant just down the street where they let us stay despite it being after closing time. We returned today, this time with a reservation to avoid cases like yesterday and hoping for a different waitress (as you can maybe tell we got unlucky). And during our time eating, there wasnt much to complain about as we once again received amazing food. But when it came to paying only 3 of us ended up tipping in retaliation for yesterdays rude treatment for a total of maybe 12-15 can dollar (keep in mind the restaurant was completely empty, except for one guy at the bar, so thats 12-15$ she wouldnt have made otherwise and we also behaved well and ate quick on a ~160$ bill (before tax). Long story short she ended up screaming at us to never go into the serving industry because it doesnt pay well because of people like us who dont tip and to get out and never come back. Congrats you just lost yourselves 10 customers who already planned on returning for a birthday with 10-12 people but i guess we are going to the korean place now. Wont return as long as she is around.

We were looking for a restaurant for lunch and the friendly owner of Memphis Blues BBQ, a guy from Chicoutimi, hearing us speak Quebecois, asked us if he could help us. We were a stones throw from his restaurant, we decided to go there and we didnt regret it! Good food, good price.

This has been our date night spot for natchos recently and tonight we came in ordered wings, fries and nachos Togo they messed up on our nachos but made it right and we got to keep the mistake nachos so my daughter gave them to a homeless person. 10/10 service and food.

One of the worst restaurants in kelowna. The waitress was soo rudee and threw an attitude until last minute. The food was pathetic, salads were stale and don t order fries, its just sad. Truly a terrible experience.

We ordered several rib meals for takeout for a birthday party. The food was packed up and ready to go, and it was a huge hit! Huge thanks to Andre and his team for making it a success.

I recently visited Memphis Blues Barbeque House & Catering Co and was quite disappointed. The food did not meet my expectations, and I noticed that the ingredients used did not match those listed on the menu. Additionally, many dishes were excessively sweet and sugary, which overshadowed the savory flavors typically associated with barbecue. Overall, my experience was not enjoyable. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a satisfying food experience in Kelowna.

Not sure how this joint won awards with the Food network. Brisket was over cooked, and catfish sandwich tasted like the deep fryer it was cooked in. Would recommend skipping if tempted to stop here. Two thumbs down.

Memphis Blues catered our wedding this weekend and we were blown away with their services from start to finish. Andres communication from the beginning was impeccable, and the food itself was absolutely delicious (we had pulled pork, brisket, chicken, farmers sausage, and ribs). We received many compliments and would 100% recommend their catering services for any wedding or event!

Love the atmosphere. They delayed the beer a lot, which could not have been delayed, as they just had to pour the pitcher and it took almost 20-25 minutes. Chicken wings were not properly cooked. Beer was good.

I ve eaten here many times and I m usually very happy with my experience. But as mentioned in other reviews from the last month, I too am shocked at the drastic fall-off in quality, flavour & service after my most recent visit. As I said, I ve been eating here for years so it pains me to leave this review. But it pained me even more to try and explain it to my server who seemed to possibly be challenged with English, respectfully. What disappointed me the most was waiting for my server to finish cuddling and watching tiktoks with her boyfriend (or coworker .?) so I could get service. I m sure you folks are doing your best and that maybe this was an off day. But something needed to be said. I hope this finds you well, take care & all the best. Better luck next time.

Reliable place for bbq standards. Reasonably priced menu items. They have quite a selection of bourbons and high end tequilas at their towering bar. If they don t have it out on the table, ask for the mustard-based bbq sauce. Trust me, the tangy sauce does a great job of cutting through the rich and fatty flavours.

Soooo disappointed. Made reservations for my husband s 59th birthday. Dinner was good and we were about to start sampling some whiskeys when the waitress told us we would have to change tables if we wanted to stay as there was another reservation. After 45 minutes!!!!! I think Dairy Queen has a longer seating time. You lost out on sales tonight and we won t be back.

Loved that they had a family style platter we could order that allowed us to try all the bbq meat options they had. The potato salad was delicious as well as everything else. Easily fed the four of us and our 3.5 year old!

I got a takeout from this place which I successfully ate in the park by the lake. I got a combo, they ran out of barbeque ribs, so I got rib tips and brisket. Brisket was really tender and the ribs had good flavour and were tender as well. I missed a little bit smoky flavour, especially on the brisket. Also, not sure about the barbeque sauce, but I m grateful they offered it on the side and didn t drowned the meat in it. Also grateful that the meat was not overseasoned and not excessively salty. I absolutely loved the coleslaw. Loved the fries and loved their seasoned mayo. The service was very pleasant and accommodating.

Food and service was impeccable. I went order a side of onion rings and the waitress suggested I didnt as the portions were massive, she wasnt wrong! Definitely reccomend.. I had the pulled pork meal was very nice, well cooked had good flavour and was well presented.

I have the opportunity to envoy a Friday night meal with this amazing teams. The service was really quick and the Bourbon and whisky library is huge. The restaurant was clean and the staff was really frendly. Even with a huge rush , they manage to make you welcome!! The meat was fantastique !!!

We order from Memhis Blues all the time. My husband loves the beef ribs and I love the brisket. We ordered last night The brisket and ribs were both so dry that we threw our meals away. 75.00 in the garbage. So disappointing. Food

Perfect location and decor. My partner loved the beef ribs combo. I got the 2 meat combo with ribs and brisket. It was so dry and salty. The coleslaw was not flavourful and the beans were too heavy and rich. Corn bread was dry, dense and flavourless. I liked the bbq sauce. Service was great.

Phenomenal barbecue that I genuinely can t get enough of. Excellent customer service, delicious drinks and a really nice place to just sit and enjoy some incredible food. I recently enjoyed a meal at Memphis, and I must say their food is truly delicious. The flavors and quality exceeded my expectations. However, I feel its important to mention that the service didnt quite measure up to the outstanding food. Despite this, the flavorful dishes make it a worthwhile dining experience.

We were in town for a day and stopped off for a bite while walking downtown lunch. Total walk in. Great atmosphere, bet alot of fun at night. Three people, full rack beef ribs, half rack pork ribs and a pulled pork sandwich. Food was perfect. Juicy ribs with the meat falling off the bones. Perfect sized sides of beans and coleslaw and fries had the size and texture that makes you want more. Will make the trip next time in town.

The best meat in Kelowna

Weve eaten here numerous times and have found unfortunately that the flavors have diminished over time. Found that used to make our mouths water are almost mediocre. Staff is wonderful! The new bourbon bar is expansive and the prices on par.

I would rate it 3.5 if I could! I did an order on door dash, and it came with a quickness! Food was hot, fries were delicious! The ribs I recieved were below par, a couple were decent and a couple were just like jerky! The brisket was very good for some pieces and dry as well but definitely would buy again! Beans were spectacular! Ribs 4/10 brisket 6/10 beans 8/10 fries 7/10! I would order here again because these guys have fair prices, but I hope the next time I order I recieve better ribs! My craving was not satisfied unfortunately.

We are going to vancouver and drop by Kellowna. Found this restaurant by accident, but the food is very delicious. Interior is also simple but it makes me special. I love this place, 1000% recommend!

The rib ends are amazing.

The smoked food was great, my wife and friends, enjoyed the Memphis platter, we had enough great left overs, for supper the next day, the atmosphere was awesome we had live blues music, definitely recommend this place.

Went here for dinner. Have to admit the service was way less than I expected it was not busy but the server didnt check in on us once. Then came the food ordered the Memphis platter 10 minutes after we order oh we are out of corn bread we will give you a single Hamburger bun in its place... oh we are out of rib ends... ordered coffee no sweetener. The person that dropped our food at the table was cold bordering on rude. There were some positives the collard greens were good the food was hot. Hopefully this was an isolated incident.

Best BBQ place I ve been to in a while in terms of quality and quantity! The beef ribs were done to perfection. Nice bark and juicy fall of the bones. They were so good I didn t want BBQ sauce on them! The deep fried oysters were also done to perfection. Crispy outside and moist and tender inside. And, for the price we paid for the amount of great quality meat and sides, second to none!

We stopped in here for lunch and weren t disappointed. The prices are right and the bbq is delicious. I had the pulled pork sandwich and beer deal, which came out to only $20. The pork was extremely tender and the fries were great. Great spot to stop for a quick eat.

Amazing restaurant. Had so much fun here. We came as a group of ten and had the Priscilla Platter. There was so much food we were taking some away. Multiple people had two plates. The vibe here is always so good. Kara...the little bit crazy Scottish waitress and bartender, who sounds kind of like a pirate, but is not, is so fun and helpful. Would definitely recommend this place. This is a staple for me every time I come to Kelowna. Keep it up here...best BBQ around. 10 out of 10.

Funky little spot. Got catfish cause, hey, Never had catfish. All staff were wicked. Great food and huge portion. Try the catfish, but the beans side definitely stole the show. Even had the NHL playoffs on the TVs. My kinda place.

Save your time and money, go visit Hatching Post where you can get great BBQ. The brisket here was dry, cornbread was cold and flavorless, very very skimpy on the dessert portions.

The staff, atmosphere and food at this location are off the chain! Ethan (manager) and Sean (kitchen) are making the bbq experience something of a legend. Their bourbon selection is world class. Is this a joke? I literally got two spoons of salad and coleslaw with a small piece of cornbread, and a sandwich-filling worth of meat for $35 plus delivery! What is with the portion? Insane rip off. The food was ok, nothing special. Would have been a 4 star if the portions were generous.

The restaurants food was okay. It was nothing special that made me say I definitely wanna come back. We ordered the meat Platter for about $90 which I honestly thought was small/not worth it for the price along with a seafood Platter for a variety which was blah. They didnt have the catfish that was to be included in the Platter so I requested a substitute with a ceasar salad which was honoured. We had a few alcoholic bevarages which were good. The food came pretty much quick after ordering as I dont recall us waiting for an expensive period. All in all a good time was had and the service was good but I probably wont be back.

Our party was craving barbecue and glad we visited here. The location was amazing. It is located in downtown Kelowna and close to shops and City Park. The staff were friendly and accommodating, as we had just made a reservation for six people only a half an hour before visiting. The atmosphere was gorgeous, modern but still had a southern charm. The only downside about the atmosphere was that it was awfully hot, as the temperature outside was about 33ºC and the door was wide open, not allowing for any air conditioning to fully work. Regarding the food, our party really enjoyed the ribs, they were soft and fell off the bone. The half rack of ribs were a huge portion, we were very happy about that! Unfortunately, we would not recommend the wedge salad, as it was deconstructed and not in a pleasant way. Our party looked at each other, confused, while it was being served. Next time we visit Kelowna we will make a stop here, for the ribs!

I ordered smokehouse chili for myself and was not very good. Would be better if they can offer cleaner plates. Overall a fine place to have a quick meal after having fun at the beach.

The food does not taste like southern bbq at all. I grew up in the southern united states and this was extremely disappointing. Only thing they got right was the portion. The coleslaw, beans, pulled pork, and catfish were all completely wrong. I m very surprised this chain won an award when it tastes like they ve never even tasted real bbq before. The pulled pork at montanas is even better and that s not saying much.

The service was great but the food was amazing. We had the Memphis platter....a fantastic mix of meats...brisket, pulled pork, ribs, rib ends, sausage and chicken. The fixing equally were exceptional...baked beans, slaw, potato salad, fries and signature bbq sauce. The only done side was the chicken...a bit bland and dry but later found out we can do substitutions. Well be back......

This is a long overdue review. During the summer I went in with my oldest daughter and wife, the staff were very friendly and showed their diligence towards a food allergy that I have. Not only that, but at the time I started to have an emotional breakdown because of a death in the family. The staff that I never caught the name of were clearly concerned for me as I tried to collect myself for several moments and failed. I could hear them trying to check with my wife if I was ok. I was not, but eventually did regain control of myself. They did not try to pry into anything but it was clear if I needed anything that they would have helped if they could. I dont know if any of them will see this or even remember it, but I do. You should eat here, it has human beings that work in it.

came in for dinner with my family on a Sunday night and we sat on the street patio. We were greeted by a very nice young waitress. she gave us menus and explained the specials. all of a sudden she returned with a more mature in age waitress and said that she would be serving us moving forward. the experience went down hill from that point as the waitress was not personal at all and acted like she was doing us a favor. it made the dinner uncomfortable. To bad we couldnt have have kept our original young and engaging kind waitress. The food was average at best.

The beef brisket on a bun was dry AF, if it didnt have any sauce you would of needed a gallon of water to wash it down . The chef did give us a couple of properly cooked pieces of brisket ,kinda made up for it but not a place Id recommend.

Ill start off by saying the food was fantastic. Havent had brisket that good since I lived in Texas! but I didnt like how the meal was plated, on a piece of parchment paper on a sheet pan. I ended up eating several pieces of soggy parchment paper, the fries were a bit overcooked and the coleslaw was soupy. The tables seemed over cluttered, I had to move several things out of the way just to find a salt shaker, cutlery was brought to us on a plate, no cloth napkins only paper napkins. Our server kept staring at us while we ate, nice lady though.

Love the food there. It was so good. We took the platter for four of us. We still had leftover.

Very good food friendly staff we really enjoyed our time here.

Our server was amazing. Knew the menu very well, gave us excellent suggestions on what to get. Fair warning, everything on this menu looks so good. I wish I could have eaten more! The BBQ shrimps are a MUST. Not only are they cooked perfectly, but the seasonings the chef adds to them *chefs kiss* The corn bread served with the shrimps are also yummy. I had the Oyster po boy. The oysters itself were delicious, especially the sauce added. The sandwich presentation I wasnt too fond of. The bread was bulky, and the way the sandwich was bulit wasnt appetizing. My partner had the half chicken meal. He said the chicken was cooked well but there just wasnt enough seasoning on it. I enjoyed the baked beans they brought with the dishes. Wasnt a fan of the coleslaw. There was definitely other items I wish I had tried, like the ribs! Wed definitely try this place again when visiting.

Ordered take out for 6, 1 vegetarian. Kind and knowledgeable staff recommended the Elvis platter and the meats all got rave reviews but there were only 4 pieces of the brisket so one person was disappointed not to try it. Potato salad and vegetarian chilli were also great! It was recommended that i order buns instead of fries, which I highly recommend because they forgot the switch and the fries weren t great as a take out item. Coleslaw needed a bit more flavour and wasn t really popular at our table. Same meal will amply be feeding us again tonight. Very generous portions. Will be visiting in person next.

It is a nice place to visit on Bernard. The staff were attentive. The food was good. I only dropped one star for more non meat selections. Having a vegetarian daughter is challenging with thus menu. One fantastic advantage to this place and location is they are child friendly

The food was OK (not worth the price in my opinion). Service was great but the restaurant inside I found very dirty. While waiting to use the washroom I got a good look at the place and it did not seem clean at all. Dirt and filth on the walls and floor. This place is not somewhere I would go again. Just a heads up...if you decide to sit out on the patio you are required to pay before you get your food. The location makes it convenient

Great spot. Amazing food!

Was yummy. If you are vegan, this place is not for you. 4 of us went for dinner and enjoyed catfish, Jambalaya, Chili with pulled pork and wedge salad. Smoky, tasty BBQ goodness with delicious sides including addictive cornbread and baked beans and loads of crispy fries. The coleslaw was meh. Was too full for dessert which was a shame because pecan pie and key lime pie were on the menu. Will have to return to try them out

I broke down this review to the customer service and the food. The customer service: The customer service was definitely below average. The Australian waitress was fine but the young girl behind the cashier had no communication skills, I asked her multiple times if the poutine or the nachos can be made with beef instead of pork and she gave me very confusing answers. I had to ask multiple times to actually get an answer LOL. I even said I am willing to pay extra if you can do it with beef but she just didn t answer, she seemed either super high or just unfriendly, maybe a little of both. Then I asked if they had a beef ribs sandwich and the older cook kinda freaked out lol. I just got the vibe that an arab man like was not welcome. The food: Tried two of the sandwiches( the brisket and the Philly brisket) both were ok. They were served really quickly and the meat was kinda cold.

Wow!! We were in Kelowna on a family vacation and my wife and I are here. There is a reason its noted as the top 12 BBQ joints in North America. Brisket was TOP NOTCH and the bourbon selection was unreal!

Had a rib end sandwich with slaw and beans for takeout. Didn t get any beans, just a cup of BBQ sauce and slaw. Sandwich was whatever, $16 is steep for this.

Lived in Kelowna almost 20 years, just rolled up here at 749pm staff actually turned me away for a take order. Supported this place since it opened, Ill never return.

Coleslaw needs work. Way too bland... beans are amazing, meat is amazing, the selection of bourbon is deadly, collard greens I give an 8.2 out of 10. There good. But could be better. Otherwise... I enjoy this place. I Def will be coming back for more

We liked. It was a delicious dish with meat, ribs, chicken, beef, sausage, salads and fries.

The food was okay for the price, we just didnt like the muffins since its too dry.

Used to be so much better! What happened??!! Food was gross, dry, overpriced. Baked beans and coleslaw tasted old.

The food was incredibly delicious and the portions were extremely generous, with prices that were very much worth the value of the meals! The customer service was also excellent! This is definitely a restaurant wed come back to!

At the end of the day I paid almost $20 for a sandwich on a lackluster bun.

Brisket is great

The pulled pork is our favorite !!!

I ordered the combo dish for &31. The portion was very good and the brought my order very quick. The meats were very well seasoned and flavoured. The only problem was that the brisket was dry to my taste. The bbq sauce was awesome and the slaw was not sweet which I liked very much.

Most staff were nice. The food was reasonable although the pulled pork course use a little more flavour. Its right downtown and perfect for a quick bite or a relaxing place to hang out.

Quick service,ribs & chicken seemed dty

Unfortunately I have to leave a 2 star review because I was really disappointed in the food. I ordered a pulled pork meal and I was dumbfounded that I had to dip my pulled pork in sauce on the side. Why was the pulled pork not in the sauce? This confused me. It tasted ok but it would have been so much better if the pork was marinating in that sauce for a long time. I found the corn bread to be dry and the fries were also dry and overcooked. The beans I enjoyed. I also enjoyed my ginger ale and Jack Daniels. That was good. Im giving 2 stars because I did have one really nice waitress who was extremely genuine, sweet and willing to go the extra mile. She gave us more ice when we asked and was a great example of good customer service. The person who brought us our food was clearly in a bad mood. She brought the food and I was expecting her to put it down in front of me, instead she shook the whole tray in front of my face and I figured she wanted me to grab it, which I did. She didnt acknowledge me and turned around in a huff. I can understand that youre having a bad day but maybe let someone else bring the food in that case. I would also appreciate if this place paid for the stingray music service. It was very disruptive to listen to the stingray ad after every song. Took me away from the conversation I was having. I would love to have written a good review about how amazing the meat and service were at this place but unfortunately that was not my experience. Maybe Ill try again next year and hope that everything has improved by then. If not then I can understand why this place seems empty most of the time I walk by.

Great service and some of the best BBQ meats and sauces. Bar menu is limited but some tasty drinks too.

More like Memphis blows. Meat was generally dry across the board with the exception of the pulled pork and brisket, chicken was raw at the bone. Fries were the only redeeming part. This is the worst bbq I ve had in years, hit them up while you re in Kelowna to waste your money and take a gamble with salmonella!

Nice atmospehere but got a little disappointed with the food - Although we were served pretty quickly, the food all tasted the same, the BBQ sauce is the same on most of the meat which makes the meal pretty blend after a while - It will be nice to have some different sauces for different meat and poutine... Overall a nice experience but it could be much better if the BBQ sauce wasnt poured on each item....

Picked up a combo plate with brisket and ribs. Loved the sides, and the meat was delish. Cornbread was nice and moist and the serving was very good size . If you like bbq definitely a great spot to get that craving in.

After our morning winery tour we decided to have some BBQ at Memphis Blues. The 2-4 person sampler was just right and satisfied our BBQ cravings. Definitely worth visiting.
