Warm and comfortable little french bistro in downtown Kelowna. Lovely family operation, chef greets diners and his lovely wife takes care of hostessing. Wonderful atmosphere and even better food!

it was the wifes 55th birthday, on reservation comments, I asked not to be seated by kitchen, was seated right in front of kitchen door, the food was way overpriced and bland, the hostess was rude, I will never return and would suggest not dining at Bouchons bistro, absolutely terrible!

Fabulous! My only disappointment is that we hadn t come here before today! This is a hidden gem in Kelowna. The chef was also our server, and he was just wonderful. We had fondue with veggies on the side. We were a bit confused about the menus option of the charcuterie as a side. We saw another table get it after we ordered and realized it is some deli meat on a side plate to dip into the amazing cheese (don t think of it as a charcuterie board you graze on!) .the veggies are cut into small pieces, also to dip in the cheese. The rest of the menu looks amazing. We can t wait to come back to experience and enjoy it.

What a quaint little bistro, just slightly tucked away in a much quieter side of Kelowna. The food was wonderful. Everything was executed with great care and detail. Food was checked on by the owner to ensure satisfaction. Prices were slightly higher than average, but I think for the quality of food throughout the night, it was worth it. If youre looking to spend a special night, definitely try this place out if you have an appreciation for fine dining. Its probably one of the best places you can find in Kelowna.

Bouchon Bistros is a hidden gem. The authentic French cuisine, exceptional wine selection, and charming ambiance made for a perfect dining experience. I absolutely loved everything about this place. Stephane and Beatrice, the delightful couple who run it, truly make it special with their warmth and hospitality.

The oysters were fresh and sweet without any fishy smell, so we ordered an extra portion after we finished. The foie gras with stewed apples tastes great, the lamb chops are grilled very tender, and the sauce that goes with it is also very delicious, and the snails are also good! Come again if you have a chance!

Great service and nice sitting outside in front patio. We had phoned in to have our reservation adjusted an hour earlier and they were flexible with that. The experience was nothing short of impeccable. Every dish, meticulously crafted from scratch, bore the hallmark of exquisite quality and culinary finesse. Each bite told a story of tradition and innovation harmoniously intertwined, leaving our palates dancing with delight. The menu, a symphony of seasonal ingredients sourced from local purveyors and beyond, offered a tantalizing journey through the flavors of France. From delicate Le Steak Tartare Certified Angus Beef Tenderloin Served with French Fries, Foie Gras, the very Gratinée Lyonnaise - caramelized onions bathed in a robust beef consommé, topped with a golden crust of Gruyère cheese. Each spoonful offers a symphony of flavors sweetness from the onions, depth from the broth, and richness from the cheese creating an experience that embodies the essence of French culinary artistry; to the very tender rack of lamb, each course was a testament to the chefs dedication to authenticity and excellence. The service was polished, with attentive staff along with the owner was anticipating our every need with discreet efficiency. As we savored the last spoonful of crème brûlée, we were very thankful that they made my mother in laws birthday a memorable one! Thank you Bouchons Bistro!

By far the best meal of our trip to Kelowna- friendly service, great atmosphere, and really excellent traditional French food. Must order the endive salad & profiteroles.

This is a very wonderful restaurant! Three years ago we were in one of the best restaurants in Paris, it was incredibly beautiful, very atmospheric, with incredible service, and what was very important for me as a chef was incredibly tasty food with an original presentation! For almost three years I was sad that I did not have the opportunity to visit this restaurant again! And what was my surprise when I found a restaurant in Kelowna that is even better and tastier than my favorite Parisian restaurant! I felt a family atmosphere, European service, simply fantastic service, an incredibly kind owner, we spent an incredible evening with my wife and her friend! I want as many people as possible to visit this restaurant! My recommendation is steak tartare! If you want fine cuisine, a very elegant and romantic atmosphere, then this is definitely the place for you!

What can I say about Bouchons...Stephane you are a breathe of fresh air, your accent completes the French ambience and atmosphere, and your smile lights up the room. BOUCHONS is a complete dining experience. We definitely want to come back to try more things out of their extensive menu. We had the cheese puffpastry that came before the meal (it was to die for, I could eat about 30 of those) escargot, steak tartare (that come with the best fries I have EVER had), rabbit, the lava cake, creme brulee & nougat for desserts. My boyfriend found the nougat wasnt sweet enough but I throughly enjoy it, and for me the lava cake was too rich but for him it hit the mark. Overall it was 100% awesome and we plan on making our way back before our trip ends.

Our meal tonight was amazing. The hardest thing was to choose what, out-of the many dishes we wanted, to have. An amazingly great restaurant. What a find, a real gem.

We were craving for a delicious tartare meal and boy did they deliver! We had such a wonderful time! Easter menu was amazing we LOVE LOVE the special pate! Service was excellent, we even got the honour to chat with Chef Stephane through our dinner. It s a MUST EAT when in Kelowna. We are still at AWE!!! Thank you for such a wonderful meal and gracious hospitality.

Bouchons is such a beautiful spot in Kelowna. Perfect for a business dinner as its quiet but also for a special celebration. The service is so attentive, kind, and warm. We even called in advance for a vegan dining experience and they were for than accommodating from the appetizer to the dessert. We went here to celebrate our anniversary. The place is a lot fancier than the restaurants we normally go, but everyone was so great. The staff were very kind and outgoing, and they were all accommodating to the fact that we brought our toddler with us. It was the best steak and whiskey I ve ever had in my life. It s pretty pricey, but it s worth the expense to treat yourself.

Here is a fine dining restaurant in Kelowna. Bouchons is a cozy bistro serving traditional French cuisine in the heart of Kelownas cultural area. Food is very good and well prepared and presented. Many items to choose from on the menu. This isnt a cheap restaurant, but you pay for fine dinning. La Bouillabaisse was very good. The Profiteroles Au Chocolat dessert is yummy. The restaurant is currently closed until January 24,2024.

They charge me 5 time as a diposit for booking a table each time 50 CAD. 250 CAD just for geting a table. They didnt return the money, I had to call them several time which they didnt pick up the phone. I had to call the bank and ask them to look into the issue. extremly frustrating experience and would not recomend to try it. it is a robbery,

Poor service. No one asked us how our meal was nor did they ever refill our water, nor did they ask us if we wanted another drink. It took quite some time to even clear our dishes away. I dont mind paying a higher price but some attention & care as a patron would be appreciated.

My girlfriend and I were very pleased to spend our Valentines day dinner together at Buchons. The service was excellent on a very busy evening and they were very accommodating to my special requests to make the evening one to remember. The food was sensational and the flavors were unforgettable. It was a set menu in order to serve as many couples as possible on this special day and we had no issue with that. To say the least, we will definitely be returning for another fun filled romantic evening with the staff ar Buchons!

Such an adorable place! We were served by the owner Stefan, so caring and charismatic, and the food was delicious as well, we had French onion soup, striploin, charcuterie and the creme brûlée, all top notch! Highly recommend for a night out or special occasion. :)

This is a place cook by jr chef It is not cook by the Paris train chef or owner Stefan as it advertises the food is not good and taste terrible the onion soup TTD r no better from Costco onion frozen section the 3.00 bread u can skip if u don t want the carbohydrates I won t go there and spend 150-200 US dollars as a guenia pig or yes the snail taste like can snail with unsalted butter and no taste

Went here for dinner with a party of 11. Food was good but the service was really slow. It took way too long to get our food. The bill took way too long too. And for some reason the place was so hot 0 ac. Would still recommend but needs some work

I appreciated the timeliness and ambience, and the drinks were good. I regret to say that the food left much to be desired. I felt like the hostess wasnt very kind in the way she spoke to/treated us. Our server did her best. A decent experience.

We always look forward to our next meal at Bouchons. The owners are so lovely, and we have a wonderful experience every time we visit from Vancouver. Service is always great, and their dishes are delicious. For appetizers I reccomend the charcuterie plater (the onion jam is outstanding), or the escargot. For mains, you cant go wrong with any of the duck or lamb dishes. If you arent too full, try a dessert or port flight to end yoir night.

A perfect establishment to have a date with the person you truly love. Stephan who was serving us added to our experience with a smile and a laugh and the food is absolutely amazing. I had high expectations cause I have been here seven years ago too but just by myself als a walk in. It can be a bit hard sometimes to get a reservation if you are spontaneous but hé, what do you expect when they are the number one in the okanagan. From starter to dessert it was fabulous and we will be back for sure. If you don t go every week, it is also very affordable for what you get only missed out on some French music in the corner where we have been sitting and the next table has been very close to ours but fortunately that have been nice guests too. Had been to this restaurant several times over the years and often described it as better than food I d had in France. We decided to go on our honeymoon, so I made a reservation stating such. When we arrived it was NOT as we remembered. Firstly the hostess was unbelievably rude when we showed up without the proper vaccine credentials (it had changed since we left calgary several days before). It was not cozy and intimate, it felt like being at a TGI Fridays. They then sat us in some outside patio with space heaters even though the reservation had been made months in advance. Upon perusing the menu we found that it was nothing like the place we remembered and decided to leave (after being ignored at our table for half an hour). I heard there were new owners and a whole new kitchen staff, and let me tell you it shows. Oh and before you (bistro) decide to respond to this in the rude and condescending way you like to do (also unbelievably unprofessional), know that I myself have been a chef and butcher for over 20 years and so do not leave such a scathing review lightly or without cause.

We had a delightful dinner here. It was very good but not wow, considering the prices. Started with the escargot, very good. Duck leg confit, and rack of lamb. All were tasty. The stewed vegetables that came with the lamb were not my thing. Best part...the profiterolles for desert!

We had a special date night at Bouchon on Saturday. Stephan took care of us and was very attentive while also giving us our privacy. He was an absolute delight. The food was incredible, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was perfect. It was an unforgettable night and we ll definitely be returning.

It has been a fantastic discovery. Im someone whos really difficult and you can see it through my other reviews but I can tell you this place is a little gem and I hope to see them in Vancouver at some point to give the other restaurants a cooking lesson. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was festive and the service was one of the best I had so far this year. The food was perfectly on point. Everything we tried was fresh and homemade. I suggest the foie gras as an appetizer (Best one I had in BC so far) and the rabbit or the lamb for the entree. Im sure you would like to finish with a light but delicious dessert. One of the most phenomenal restaurants in Kelowna and perhaps on the west coast. On a weekend bookended with the super bowl as well as Valentine s Day, despite being booked to capacity - Bouchons is a phenomenal restaurant, both for its divine French food and delicate flavors as well as for its superb service. For the true french bistro experience with an exceptional French menu, this restaurant is an absolute gem. And even under the pressure of a holiday weekend, nothing suffers at this locale - where even the staff in the late hours of the evening are attentive, caring and wonderful and the chef continues to turn out course after course of scrumptious food. Absolutely superb!

Amazing fondue

I cannot remember the last time I had such an incredible meal. This is traditional French food done at its finest. The steak tartare was phenomenal. The wine list/cellar... stellar. Our server, Geoffrois, who also happens to be the sommelier, is a professional and an absolute gentleman. Such a pleasure to chat with him. I would hope that anyone visiting Kelowna treats themselves to a night out at this bistro. I cannot wait to come back!

My wife and I came here for a nice evening out. The food and service were phenomenal. Our favourites were the French onion soup, a morel pastry starter (special for the evening), and the crème brûlée. The entrees were also enjoyable. The service was very attentive and made good suggestions. Highly recommended if looking for a fancier option.

This was our first visit in a few years (thanks Covid) and it hasnt changed one bit. The food is authentic and delicious! My starter was a puff pastry tart with a creamy, buttery filling with locally sourced Morel mushrooms. Highly recommend! The herb -crusted rack of lamb was cooked rare, to perfection. And of course my visit would not be complete without a creme brulee. Our server was attentive and helpful.

Given the other reviews which are very positive for the most part I hesitate to write anything that is negative. I suspect it was just one of those nights. We have been to Bouchons before which prompted us to return again while visiting Kelowna this time. Our server, Nicole, was outstandiing. We would give her 10+ out of 10. It didnt go unnoticed that she had a lot of tables to look after, probably because of a lack of staff due to COVID. Paying $3 for a few pieces of relatively stale bread seemed a bit insulting, but that is the way it goes. Our choice. The mushroom appetizer was very good. 9/10 seems appropriate. The wine seemed a bit pricey, but once again, our choice. The main courses were very disappointing. Both of them cost in the upper $40 range. Mine was touted on the menu as one of their signature dishes. My wife had the scallop-prawn dish which consistee of three small scallops and three prawns. In fairness the sauce was really good and I used it to add some moisture to my rabbit. Value for money spent earned a 3 out of 10. Ambience was 8 out of 10. Heading to one of the vineyards for our next meal out. I sincerely hope this was simply an off night for this restaurant. Not sure, given all of the choices in Kelowna and elsewhere in the Okanagan Valley that we will give it another go. We had such good memories of the first visit.

Lately it seemed like it was hard to get a meal anywhere that didnt disappoint; however tonight was not one of those times. Everything was delicious and well made all the way down to the coffee. The veal chop was amazing. Our server, Geoffrey, was also the best. Thanks for the lovely meal. Hope to return.

We shared a most wonderful dinner for our special event here at Buchon... We were personally greeted by the hosts, enjoyed in-season Morel Truffles Vol-Au-Vent appetizers, Filet Mignon and Seafood entrees, and Creme Brulee for dessert, along with lovely house cocktails and exceptional red and white wine with dinner... Not inexpensive, but definitely worth the price... Exceptional service and truly amazing fine dining, to be sure... We have a cherished night to remember, and will return soon... Most Highly Recommended...!

Had dinner at this place on Saturday of Canada Day long weekend. Called a few times priorto our arrival to make changes and the owner was super nice to accomodate any requests! Food was delicious! Service was absolutely amazing. They went out of their way to accomodate requests althought it was a fairly busy night. Would recommend this place as a must visit in Kelowna Downtown.

First experience, tried the charcuterie, escargot, the daily special Veal Chop, with creme brulee for dessert and everything was amazing. Called 20 min beforehand on a Saturday and they managed to fit us in the busy schedule, and did not compromise on service e one bit. The food was spectacular, certainly worthy of repeat visits. I recommend visiting Bouchons when you are craving some delicious French cuisine, or if you have an occasion to celebrate, or whatever other excuse you can muster uo because this place is superb. Will certainly be dining with Bouchons again, they nailed every category one could critique. Great work to all the staff, from booking, to server, to the kitchen staff, its clear everyone took pride in their work this evening. Bravo.

I have never been to Kelowna before so I was unsure about where to eat on our first evening. I wanted the experience to be very special and Bouchons delivered the service was impressive. An extremely warm and friendly greeting upon arrival, a lovely server, a very pretty dining area this was just the start. The food was incredible, very French, very tasty, and artfully arranged. I am so glad we chose this lovely bistro sight unseen and as I know we will be travelling to Kelowna again, we will return to Bouchons. It was a memorable dining experience. Thank you all.

One of the few real fine dining experiences in Kelowna. Nay, the Okanagan. Yet still relaxed, welcoming, and comfortable. Definitely worth a visit - and by far my best recommendation for any intimate celebration, date night, etc. Authentic French cuisine in an authentic French atmosphere. Outstanding customer service from even before getting to the restaurant. Went here for my wedding anniversary and birthday celebration. Received a very friendly greeting by name at the door by the owners, Beatrice and Stephane. Despite it being Carolines second day, she was fantastic as our server. The sablefish was perfectly cooked and an exquisite dish, the drinks list is mouthwatering, and the dining room cellar is quaint in the best ways possible. Truly an elevated experience, and a must-try.

Always a great meal every time we visit, the food never disappoints. The staff will is always friendly and helpful when asked for recommendations on the menu. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and is the perfect place for a special dinner.

Absolutely incredible!! You will think you are in a bistro in Paris. The intimate but relaxed setting creates a romantic atmosphere without being stuffy. The food was perfection and the service unparalleled. We were served personally by the owner, Stephan, who went above and beyond to provide a personalized experience with amazing wine pairing recommendations. Eat here immediately, you wont regret it.

We enjoyed a fabulous meal at Bouchons Bistro with our 14 year old daughter. We had originally booked at table in Waterfront wines restaurant next door but were turned away at the door as apparently the minimum age is 19 years old at their establishment - it would have been helpful if this had been made clear to us at the outset when we booked a table.. We were so fortunate that Bouchons had space for us. The Bouillabaisse was amazing as was was the steak tartare. Highly recommended.

We came here 2 evenings out of a 4 day stay in Kelowna as we enjoyed it so much. Both times we had servers that were attentive and improved our experience, including a great wine pairing. Furthermore, the food was incredible. We especially enjoyed the escargot, french onion soup, filet mignon and veal. For dessert we had the port flight with the profiteroles with was heavenly. When we come back to Kelowna we will definitely be back again!!

I had a great experience back in 2019, and since coming back up again to kelowna to celebrate my wedding anniversary, I really wanted to come back and share the experience with my husband. Food was good however, lacked a bit of seasoning. I don t usually write reviews but I felt compelled to write this one. The service was what was concerning. Our server was Joffrey (not sure if I had spelt that correctly). We were seated outside and it was busy. He was passive and dismissive. I m pregnant, and even asking for non alcoholic options - he didn t seem to care to answer me. It was quite visible, he did not care about our table. He checked in on every table throughout the service but ours. I also saw the owner s wife also thank every customer who had left. Making the effort to open the door, to thank and say goodbye. Towards the end of the evening, all the tables had left but one large group. She had walked by and asked if they were doing okay, and if they needed anything. She did not check in with us, nor did she say goodbye to us. My husband and I are Chinese but born in Vancouver. I have not felt targeted by my race but this experience made my husband and I feel a certain way. Looked and serviced differently. I m not searching for anything but for them to reconsider their service. Great food is important, but to have a place where it is INCLUSIVE, and welcoming to ALL is also important. We are not accusing them of being racist but wanted to share our experience and how we felt. We hope they can learn from this, and do better.

Another work trip dinner, came to see if they deserve the high ratings, yes they do. Service was great, nice vibe, oysters were fresh, French onion soup was great. The lamb was above average as well. They modified the dessert for me, letting me try different kinds of ice cream on their ice cream puff. Great vibe. Will go back there again

Words won t do it justice to define the dining experience in Bouchons. It s one of the places you should go try and see for yourself. The food and service is amazing. Cest bien!!

Lovely place, good service

I Have to say it was a very poor experience, I took my mom here for my first time and hers. If Im paying very high prices for meals I have very high expectations. I ordered a $28 charcuterie board that I wasnt aware wouldnt have cheese on it at all, only meat. I then ordered the special which was a Veal, and mashed potatoes and vegetables which were cubed potatoes and carrots. For $67 it was hands down the most expensive meal Ive paid for and very underwhelming. I didnt want to write a negative review, but my wife said if youre paying that kind of money it should be amazing, it definitely was not. It may have been an off night. Our server was great. I did not want to make her uncomfortable with a negative comment. Our bill was $200 (with tip) we had : charcuterie, 2 French blondes, veal special, and burger special. Thats it

I am still daydreaming of my meal last night. I had Sable fish with creamy red pepper risotto and green beans, mmmm. My husband had the Surf & Turf. We highly recommend Bouchons. Great service too

Another fantastic experience at Bouchons. Everything about our meal was excellent - the cocktails, wine, food, service and ambiance. So many great options in the menu, will need to make it back more often. Definite 5 star.

Compared to other French restaurants the taste was lacking. Good service but the food and plating missed the je-me-sais-quoi . Not recommended with such high prices.

Below average food. I don t think I will go again. We were group of 5.we Tried different dishes( steak tartare, duck confit, lamb and rabbit specialty dishes ) only rabbit one was excellent All Other ones were not good at all I don t recommend this restaurant and won t go back

We had decided to treat ourselves for our anniversary. When we arrived we waiting 15 min at our table before we were acknowledged by our server who was not the friendliest. We thought this was a fine dinning restaurant because of what they charged for their menu offerings. The food was not hot and not over the top in taste, we have had better tasting French food. One if the specials was a veal chop which was presented oddly as the meat was cut in pieces off the bone. It was not overly tasty but very expensive which the server never mentioned the price when describing the dish - turned out it was $65. If I had known that I wouldnt of ordered it . My husband had rack of lamb which was the same not hot and tasteless. We wont be going back - Im french and I can make better tasting French food.

We had our anniversary dinner here in June and it was perfect. The food was delicious, the atmosphere and ambiance were perfect and the staff were great. The Bouillabaisse was spectacular and the profiteroles were the best.

This was our first visit to Bouchons and it is the best meal Ive had in in Okanagan since moving here. Great service and amazing food is their recipe for success.

I booked Bouchons last night specifically for the cassoulet because it was a signature dish but was so very disappointed. The dish was lukewarm, the duck tough and the beans undercooked. I didn t want to ruin our evening so I didn t say anything until the waiter asked, but I did tell him the problem. There was no remedy or comment from a manager or chef only an obligatory sorry from the waiter. I hope this isn t the best you have to offer.

It s a very nice restaurant the quality is pretty good. The wine menu is quite good. The only thing that made me rate it with 4 stars instead of 5 is the price. It is overpriced not by much but definitely should not cost 200$ for 2 people.

The 1st time we went the meal was incredible. That experience brought us back for a 2nd time but we were very disappointed. Fondue dinner was not impressive at all. Paid $40 each for tons of tiny cubed bread, 4 quarters of cold potato, 1/2 a mushroom, 3 tiny dill pickles and 2 pieces of thinly sliced salami and some other thin fatty meat. The bottle of wine and flavor cheese was the best part of the meal. Will not being going back any time soon.

An amazing French restaurant with an even more amazing ambience definitly one of my favourite restaurants for a close personal romantic setting with great staff and amazing loving food

This was a horrible experience for me and my girlfriend (who is a chef at a fine dining restaurant). First I made reservations for two with a note saying that she is allergic to chilli pepper seeds. We show up to the restaurant at 5:48pm. We get seated and asked if we had reservations. I said yes. About two minutes in they ask for my name. We order our drinks and then our food. We both order the felet mignon, medium rare. They bring us out the stakes and at that point they asked about the allergies to which the man working the front said there is no pepper in our meals. We proceeded to look at our plates and they put paprika all around the dish. If you dont know, paprika has milder peppers in it that are a type of chilli pepper. This was our first red flag. My girlfriends stake was cooked medium rare however mine was cooked medium to well done. I sent it back and received another that was raw. I told the man working the front this and immediately he told us to leave. He even admitted that the first stake was medium to well done. I was very intimidated by this and even sat to ask to pay. He said to leave and we didnt have to pay. This experience was extremely rude and they did not pay attention to my girlfriends allergies. I am now monitoring her to make sure she doesnt have to go to the hospital.

Lovely French bistro with a classical French menu. Good cocktails and an extensive wine list comprised of many old world wines (a refreshing change), along with local Okanagan selections. Service was impeccable. Even after several courses and despite being stuffed, we were given complimentary canelés to finish off our meal (they are amazing baked French desserts). Nice for a date night. Will go back at some point.

This is an exceptional French restaurant. After visiting France over fifteen times and living in Paris for over six months, this restaurant certainly stands up to a similar standard found in Europe. The food is delicious, the service is knowledgable, and the setting is nice. I especially appreciate a combo visit to this restaurant and Waterfront Wines next door. Dining at both in one evening is a great way to spend a Friday night. Highly recommended.

This restaurant has an impressive reputation for high quality French cuisine and service, but I was honestly extremely disappointed in both the food and service, particularly for the price point. We arrived for the first seating at 5 p.m. and found ourselves to the be the only patrons in the restaurant. The waitress was slow and inattentive - seemingly hired for her French accent rather than skill as a server in a fine dinning restaurant. We started with a $25 Charcuterie Board, which was okay but only came with four pieces of crostinis and did not include cheese - only meat and pickles. For the entrée, my wife ordered the House Specialty, Le Lapin a la Moutarde and I has the House Specialty, Le Cassoulet. Both were very bland in taste and we only ate about half of each dish - we are foodies and it is very rare for us not to finish. The rabbit tasted like it had been frozen prior to cooking and the creamy tarragon sauce lacked any depth or defined flavour. The Le Cassoulet was equally disappointing with a duck leg and single sausage on a bed of navy beans - essentially a fatty duck leg and sausage served over baked beans. It had more flavor than the rabbit, but that isnt saying much. Each entrée was $40. We skipped desert and called it a night. When we advised the waitress that the food was just okay, her response was it was good? to which we advised that we would not consider it good at all, but there was nothing offered of suggested to make up for the lackluster meal. For a three course meal, with one glass of wine and tip, you are looking at $150, but you dont get anywhere near this kind of value. We would have been better off at the Keg, Earls or really anywhere else for better service, a better quality and flavorful meal. Not recommended.

We ve been to this restaurant three times. The food, atmosphere and drinks we always fantastic. However, our last two visits the service has been terrible. The young gentleman serving us was rude, couldn t or wouldn t carry on a conversation and basically ignored us. We gave him the benefit of the doubt the first time but this second time was enough. We won t be back until we can be guaranteed he s at least not there. We tried everything to have a conversation, even speaking French to him but nothing worked. Our French Canadian accent may not meet his standards coming from France but that s no excuse. Very unfortunate.

What an absolutely AMAZING French experience right in the heart of Kelowna! We went in for the Fondue (Ive always heard amazing things about it) and ended up trying out quite a few different dishes. To be honest we loved ALL of them! The fondue was not only the best fondue Ive probably ever had, but it made for a great social eating experience with our guests. I could say that the wine list was good but that would be a huge understatement. They have wines to fit every preference imaginable. I do have to say that the best part of the experience was the service. We had this cute little French girl who was actually also a Sommelier serving us. She was personable, knowledgable (she knew more about what kind of wine Id like than I did) and friendly. I kind of wish she could have sat down to hang out with us! Over all I really recommend this place for a little taste of France. Everything from the food, to the wine, to the atmosphere, to the service was exquisite. Well done guys!

We had doubts coming here with the mixed reviews but still ended up dining in here. I ve had my fair share of great French food in Paris and this restaurant failed to deliver for the $$$ price tag that they charge. We ordered the escargot, rack of lamb, bouillabaisse special and the duck leg special. We all tasted each other s dishes and: 1. The escargot is a hard no. The pastry shell is a thin oily mess 2. Just a note that bread with butter is not free 3. The rack of lamb flavour was probably my favourite out of the 3. However, the cook is supposedly medium rare but the actual meat ranges from well done to very rare in the center depending on which rib you cut (although tender). My suspicion is that the lamb is cooked from frozen. The scalloped potatos were undercooked and flavourless. 4. The sausage that comes with the duck leg was the worst sausage I ve ever had (very bland) and the whole duck leg dish was flavourless and underwhelming. We needed to ask for salt .. 5. The bouillabaisse broth was okay, although just tastes like seafood broth and has no complexity. And the seafood did not taste fresh. The fish chunks inside were very dry like over boiled salmon. Maybe for $20 a dish it could be justifiable. But for $40-50 a dish it s definitely not worth it and a pass for us. P.S. service is also questionable as our waitress (although nice) didn t seem very experienced.

My wife and I brought my in-laws here from out of town. Great food, everything was cooked perfectly. Our server was kind, professional and attentive. Great atmosphere. Will definitely return in the future.

Very disappointed is the word we would use to describe Bouchons. The food was over-priced, mediocre, and bland; nothing to write home about. We could not believe the restaurant charged for bread; this is just plain nickel-and-diming. The restaurant was very warm and uncomfortable. The waiter failed to check in with us after we received our food and forgot to bring our water. I asked for fleur de sel and the waiter brought some other salt. How can a French restaurant not have fleur de sel? The restaurant failed to deliver in every way. The bill for the two of us not including alcohol was $185.00. There are a lot of other restaurants where the food, service, and prices are much better. Save your money and go elsewhere. We do not know how they got a 4.5 star review! This was our first and last time going to Bouchons.

A couple things on this spot, menu is limited and they do charge for bread which seems a bit odd. I ordered the crevettes et nix de Saint Jacques which was flavorful. Feedback on the fish and steak that was also ordered was that it was OK.

Best meal in Kelowna (Vernon resident). Also, closest I have felt to truly being in France in a very long time.

Over priced, very noisy, very slow service.

Two stars only because my diner guest was the better part of the night. Bouchons is not what it used to be, so over priced now for the quality, my boulibaise is much better at a fraction of the price, and Im by no means close to being a chef. Sorry disappointed, wont be back.

Escargot with edible pastry shells, a very interesting and tasty take. Surf and turf was divine, great scallops and prawns as well. A supreme dining experience with awesome service. Would definitely visit again when we return to Kelowna.

We recently went to Bouchons Bistro to celebrate a birthday and were so delighted with everything the restaurant had to offer . Genuinely French ! A Fantastic dinner out...Such a delight. Great service by our server Nicole. She was so attentive, informative about the specials for the evening, which I indulged in, being the fresh oysters from PEI. We enjoyed a bottle of French Gewurztraminer Pfaff, then escargots, scallops and prawns ending with their assiette cheese plate and port taster to cap off the evening. A splendid and most enjoyable evening. Kudos to the chef and Nicole for the great evening. Salute

Food was amazing! Service was ok. Our waitress was overwhelmed. She was running around a lot, but never forgot a thing. She was amazing, just a bit slow to get back to our table. Wouldve rated 5/5 if the service was better. Hire more staff on a busy Saturday night! Great date night!
