Having to pay and tip before you get to your table is ridiculous..

Did takeout for the first time. So quick, so friendly, food was so good. Thank you.

Today we had the early bird special. They are served from 7:00-8:30 Mon-Thurs 3 meal choices. Such a great atmosphere and service is top notch. Took the grandkids for breakfast after their sleepover last night. Our grandson requested breakfast at Normans. They enjoyed pancakes and waffles. Everything was delicious as usual.

Forgot to take a picture, but had the chorizo, spinach, and mushroom omelette and it was great! Light and fluffy, tons of filling, and super friendly staff!

A must if you are in Kelowna. A nice and modern diner. Reccomend the cinnamon swirl french toast if you are hungry. Plenty of food for a very reasonable price. A HUGE shoutout to Colby for such impeccable service.

As a breakfast connoisseur, I d say this is the best breakfast place in Kelowna. Best food, best quality, best local ingredients, best service and best price. Having tried everything around here from low to high, hands down this is THE place. Do yourself a favor and drive over to Rutland next time for breakfast you ll thank me.

not so powered bowl. Ordered thru door dash storefront. no avocado and no salsa. The lady that I talked to didnt offer solutions but blamed it on doordash. Whoever prepares food should PREPARE it correctly and should make sure its complete. How would a doordash person know what goes into each dish? I know its take out and food presentation and taste would differ when its dine in BUT man, the food as disgusting. like it was dumped in there by a toddler. I say for the person who prepared it: DO IT RIGHT the first TIME. And for the person handling my concern : please apologise and dont pass the blame to doordash who ever saw it or checked it. They also miss my MOCHA. Again, when these things are handed out to delivery persons- make sure these are complete and accurate. Do your part. Not buying again. Very frustrated as this was my birthday breakfast and I need something healthy - hence the power bowl because I have flu.

My partner & I visited here when we first came to Kelowna and it was amazing! For how much the items cost, the portion sizes were definitely well worth it! The food itself was delicious, everything made perfectly! Our host frequently checked in on us and ensured we were enjoying our meal! The atmosphere was amazing, the staff were very welcoming and helped us understand the ordering process as it is a bit different from other places, but it was very quick! The whole vibe of the restaurant was very cozy and welcoming. I would definitely recommend trying this place out!

Food was pretty good . The hollandaise sauce is powdered ,I love the hash browns.And eggs were cooked perfectly both times . Server was loud and kinda pushy ,the coffee was weak and weak At the end of the day 25 bucks for bacon and eggs with a 3 dollar tip ? It was alright ,I wont run back . and I just found myself awkwardly staring out at a Rutland shopping plaza .maybe a news paper .....

Normans is a really solid choice for a family breakfast or lunch. What we like - 1. you order at the counter and pay when you arrive; 2. there are great choices (we had BLT, avocado toast, and an omelette); 3. good coffee and juices; 4. Booths are big and comfortable 5. Because you order at the counter the server just brings the food, thats it 6. Space is bright and clean. 7. Staff are nice. 8. Food comes quick (great for kids!) and is really high quality and well done.

The servers are great... But I really dont like the service setup. You need to order your drinks and meal at a counter before youre seated. Especially when it comes to breakfast.. I enjoy contemplating a menu, seated at a table with a good and hot coffee already in hand. Ordering at the counter, the moment you walk in, makes the whole experience feel rushed right from the get-go. It would be five stars across the board if I could order once Im seated. But the food is good so I return every now and then.

as a 40 year veteran (red seal) chef, i seldom dine out, much less review any place. and definitely not breakfast places. good egg cooks are extremely rare. i went to normans on the word of a non-foodie who, without reservations, recommended this place. i was knocked out! first, not even many good egg cooks know what basted eggs are. mine were perfect. the hashbrowns were great. not over-seasoned, but left to my taste. the pb&j caddy was full. hot sauce and ketchup full and clean. proper questions asked upon ordering. staff knows their menu. no confusion. 2 minor strikes against- decaf could be a little more robust and flavorful. and the biggie, which all breakfast places forget. TOAST-do not just smear the middle. Top to bottom &side to side. nobody likes dry crusts. Normans is a great breakfast place and i will be back for more. cheerful, clean, and comfortable.

We were welcomed by the most hospitable and efficient host/server that took our order and set us up for success. While we briefly waited to go to our table all the staff that passed us seemed genuinely content to be there, gliding around gracefully as they brought food out, topped up coffees, and cleared tables. All the food we saw looked tasty and also not heavy or greasy like a lot of breakfast spots around. The manager Daniel seated us in the bright and open dining room and he immediately made such a positive impression on us both and made us feel so welcome. This man is a Star and his level of service and leadership is simply outstanding. Our meal was so fresh and delicious, and they do bottomless coffee which was a treat. Big portions and reasonable prices. Our experience felt more like going to a friends place and the food was just wonderful. 11/10 which is a first for me. Thanks Daniel and the team, see you in a couple days:)

One egg was hard, the other soft. Flavorless hollandaise. Cold potatos. Salty packeged gravy on poutine fries.

Came in just before 2. Was immediately put off by the fact that you need to pay (and tip) before sitting down. We ordered a couple of breakfast platters. My husbands was fine even if we had to ask for syrup. Mine -- I had asked specifically if there were no raisins in it. The cashier also asked if I wanted soft bacon, which I did. Well, I received cinnamon raisin toast and very crispy bacon. The waitress/cashier informed me it was the kitchens fault, and shed get it replaced. When she returned with it, it was half the amount of food I had ordered and the single piece of french toast was flavorless and half cooked. By that point, I was hungry and annoyed. At no point were we offered any kind of compensation, probably because theyd already got our money. Ive had better meals at IHOP. I left hungry and annoyed and wont be returning. Theres no lack of breakfast diners in this city; spend your money elsewhere.

Very rich breakfast with excellent attention from the staff and a pleasant atmosphere.

We waited 1 1/4 hours before being served today for breakfast. Those sitting outside like us, were not given a table number so the servers had no idea who to serve. We had been going to the Lake Country Normans that runs a very slick operation. We were refunded the cost of the meal without asking which was a nice gesture but they really need to have a system for serving people outside.

Nice new restaurant...good food. Good value, Great 1/2 price 1/2 breakfast meal was awesome. Will definitely be back soon.

Just tried the 3rd new location of Norman s this weekend, and honestly, I don t get the hype. Although before I get into that, I will say the service and all staff have always been incredibly friendly and attentive. Also vibe is 10/10, this new location is on trend with all interior design they used. But unfortunately you don t go to a restaurant for the service and the vibe (or at least I don t), you go for the food, and the food here is just ok. Nothing particularly wrong with it, but it s just ingredients put together on a plate. There is no wow factor, no can t-wait-to have-this-again feeling after your meal. My biggest gripe though is how they are organized; you have to order at the counter before you sit down to eat, which creates many problems. Part of their menu is above the counter, but the full menu is printed as a traditional handheld menu. When you enter, you are forced to quickly read everything and try to make a decision while the staff stare awkwardly at you, and as more people enter you are hurried even more. Then on top of that, you have to choose what to tip for a service you haven t even received yet.. it doesn t make any sense. Overall unfortunately just another so-so breakfast option for Kelowna.

Beautiful spot, lady at front was wonderful just overworked as she served the restaurant alone. Food was good, the skillet had too much cheese most of which hadn t melted properly and eggs weren t done to order. The coffee was good but advertised as a bottomless drip I could only get 1 cup as I assume they were short staffed.

What a little gem of a place. Was running behind in the early afternoon and pulled into Pur and Simple which is my go to . Well 2:40 pm and they had made decision to close Down the kitchen before I got there. Well I googled some places and found Norman s Diner !! I called about 2:50 Pm and they have a 3:00 pm closing time posting well there was absolutely no issues with me ordering, and by time I got there the food had just came up, and I was able to sit down and have a meal. Parking: It s honestly right across from the McDonald s in a new development right on the corner of the building

We were greeted by 2 very friendly lovely ladies!! Shelly & Dina are so cheerful & energetic they really love working here & it shows!! Wow the breakfasts we had were so filling...my soft poached eggs done to perfection & my wifes overeasy eggs as well...bacon & sausages were also very good!! Highly recommend this restaurant for excellent service & food...this is going to be our go to place from now on when we want to have breakfast out & next time were going to have lunch!! 2 of us stood in a cafeteria line got to the till and ordered, till said $34, handed $40 and expected change, instead we had to give another $5 as they charge a pre top charge that doesnt show on the till??? They seated us and we had a good breakfast. I just cant be happy while being forced to give an $11 tip on a $34 order before we got any service...

Honestly I had a lost about this establishment that I took down, after I was sworn at, yelled at and hung up after calling due to a delivery order made wrong, They offered me one good day of service to make up for it, to be followed with the same old every time after. So I m reviewing again and leaving it up. On top of taking their frustrations out because they were busy on my 4 year old daughter who they made cry her eyes out cause all she wanted to do was give the new general manager a hug my little girl give the regular staff hugs as she is a sweetheart and vacua s they were busy on Mother s Day, out of all days where the ladies should be treated right was spazzed on my the new general manager and our little girl balled her eyes out and was tested with hardness by 200 pound adult that roared over her then this manager had the audacity to ask what was wrong and why she wa crying after she just spazzed on her There is multiple things wrong with this establishment from no dessert to mixed portion sizing.. I ve got half serving for full price, I ve got over served, there isn t any consistency and you best hope you catch them on a good day or they are rude!! They yell, give attitude, they will hang up in your face as they have down this to me twice now I ve even had them Apologize countless times offer gift cards just for them to keep doing it as if 10 bucks can buy off a consistent bad attitude Do not and I mean do not order delivery it will set your day off to be a negative head space, it won t be made right, it will be cold.. it will kiss things and they will hang up in your face not let you talk or speak and explain what is wrong then they will block your future orders if you hold them to any stagndard or accountability. This place sucks, the staff are outdated they out too much stress on the cooks and they have been through a couple managers not to mention the other establishments they own like turtle bay pub where people get sick constantly ask them for a tour of the kitchen and you will see why, the diner in six is a homeless centre outside and the outboard pub they used to own would have raw meats sitting outside then being served but teens who are smoking dope and rolling cigarette butt s off the floor out back! Best to stay away from any place pinned by this group

The place was bright and airy. Food was great. I had special request - followed instructions perfectly, and everything was cooked to perfection. Loved that you order and pay upfront, then they bring the food to you. Allows you to relax and enjoy the meal and the company you came with.

Another gem of a breakfast place, right in the heart of Rutland. Friendly, all the people working there joke around and are really down to dearth. Food is delicious as well as the drip coffee.

We used to go here at least twice a week. Food and service was always great. Then they fired the staff, all but one. Makes you wonder ???? Since then the food quality has been awful. Burnt hash browns, no coffee refills, no one checking how the food was. Won t be back. Sad really enjoyed the place.

A great place to eat, make sure you have some cash on hand as it s an order and pay then sit down. This is great cause you don t have to wait for the bill. Normans diner is definitely a staple in Rutland. They nailed it with the atmosphere of a diner, the food was incredible with friendly staff that was on top of your dining experience.

Very pleased to find this gem of a restaurant. Even happier to see the ladies from DeDutch make an ensemble return! The food is very well prepared, the restaurant itself is clean and bright, with a good vibe. The windows allow for all the sunlight to illuminate and warm the interior. We will be making this a regular happening. Looking forward to next time!

Wheelchair accessibility: It has lots of room and easy to get around. I am bringing my nephew here next weekend. He is in a wheel chair, he has CP and he will be playing wheel chair basketball. He will love the size of the meals as well as the accessibility to get around.

You order your food as soon as you come in from the front counter. That method cuts down on wait times and makes the whole process much faster. The food was excellent, particularly the hashbrowns. Thats the way theyre supposed to be done. Really enjoyed my breakfast... very convenient and very reasonably priced. Where can you get a breakfast for under$20 dollars( tip included) today in this town? Ill be back.

Amazing experience staff are wonderful!

Loved the idea of the avocado toast however the execution of mine was less than perfect. Toast was dry and extremely hard and stale tasting. 2 small slices of avocado ... Not impressive. Overall the dish had potential but the kitchen didnt deliver.

We were not greeted properly and the staff wasn t happy to see us just because we were a bigger group. We were told to call atleast half an hour before we came. Because we didn t know of this rule I apologized but it still did not make her happy. We were ordering and one of the staff came and started whispering in the ear of the cashier, which made us feel that it was us they were talking about. We waited for them to seat us.Once we got to the table she seated us separately and because we waited to be seated, we objected that we didn t want to be separated and it wasn t dealt very professionally. The way we were treated, we were even scared to ask for food that we had ordered and came wrong. I don t know if it was because we were brown or they don t know how to handle when it gets busy but for sure whatever happened was not respectful and professional. We will not be coming here again and also not suggest our friends and family to consider coming here and anybody with some ethnic background should consider this too.

I couldn t find the entrance to restaurant - though it was right there when I went up the ramp. But I also wasn t the only one who missed the entrance!! Unlike the typical diner impression, this restaurant is clean, bright and modern. It was strange having to order first, pay and then get seated for food. It was weird having to tip before receiving actual service. Server is okay. I asked for recommendations, she said everything is good. I asked her what s her favourite, she said all the bennys are great! I mentioned I would try crab cake Benny then she said it wasn t her favourite. She likes Smoked Salmon more. I went with her recommendation, but it did make me wonder why she couldn t just tell me this in the beginning?! Smoked Salmon Benny was good. Typical Benny - eggs was only a bit runny, too cooked. Potato was interesting - sliced pan fried potato with onion (and some spice?). It was delicious! I like their handycap washroom - had baby change table. It was clean and smelled nice (didn t smell like a bathroom if you know what I mean!) As much as I think it looked nice to have a basket as garbage holder for used paper towel .I still think there should be an actual garbage can! I changed my baby and felt bad for putting a dirty diaper in the basket!

The vibe of this place is very strange. You walk in and can barely hear yourself think because the music is so loud and people are loudly trying to talk over it. I dont like the fact that I have to pay and tip first before I even get to see the quality of my food or experience the service. We asked for water, which is kept at the front counter in open jugs, ice sitting in an open bucket where people speak over and exchange money, gross. Prices are insane for what you get. Over 19 dollars for a chicken caesar salad, that you expect to be meal size, but comes out on a small plate, hardly any dressing, and romaine lettuce ends mixed in with the other lettuce that has wilted because hot chicken was placed on top of it. I found a hair in my clubhouse sandwich, which just finished the entire experience for me and my family. We got a refund and will not be back.

The food was good but sadly the burgers needed to be redone. One was way under and the kids burger was way overdone. Wont stop me from returning but a bit disappointing

I really wanted to love this place because I love hanging out in diners. Everything was on track. Warm welcome, nice atmosphere. Then my food arrived: crab cake Bennie, which were just adequate. Flavorless crab cakes with the worst hollandaise sauce Ive had in a very long time. Tasted like package mix. Just disappointing.

One of the best breakfasts Ive eaten in Kelowna! I had an omelette that was huge, light, fluffy and stuffed with yummy veggies and cheese! I eat Keto and they were happy to sub out the tatters and toast for a bit of avocado which made my meal perfect! Delish food and great coffee, this place is a win, win, win! Dietary restrictions: Keto, which means low carbohydrate and they were happy to help by subbing out that tatters and toast.

This is a cute little restaurant with a country-chique atmosphere. Our waitress was really sweet and explained everything about the history of the restaurant. You order and pay up front and then sit down to wait for your meals. I had the Eggs Benedict with an americano. I highly recommend checking them out.

Family and I all came here for breakfast for the first time and we were all very impressed. Excellent menu, great food and great service. Definitely one of my top 3 breakfast spots in kelowna even after only 1 visit. The only thing stopping this from being my favorite breakfast spot was the hashbrowns, our table agreed that the hashbrowns were not our favorite but everything else was amazing. Looking forward to trying the lunch menu on my next visit.

My food was lukewarm, the potatoes were so crispy that they were barely edible, the music had a very heavy fast beat that I found it made me eat faster and want to leave quick! The idea of paying first including the tip was awkward to me as I have no idea how the food and service will be, after my experience today I would have left a smaller tip with explanation, the young lady working didnt seem to care that my food was lukewarm. Not likely to return.

Tried out Norman s for the first time today - great experience! Staff is friendly, restaurant is bright and lively, food was delicious and reasonably priced. We ve been looking for a new spot since Beet & Boos closed, we ll definitely be back.

Service was amazing, so friendly even though it was busy. I wanted a Benny but couldnt pick, it was suggested that I try the Mexican. What a delicious Benny. Would never had thought to put those flavours together. MMM mmm

Restaurant has cool vibe but its so expensive and the quality is so meh. Could easily make a better meal at home, which for those prices, you definitely dont want. Staff basically only seated us and dropped off the food. Made to pay/tip up front before we were even seated, which is unfortunate considering how minimal the service side of the experience ended up actually being.

Whats not to love? They have quick and tasty breakfasts served by kind people. The ordering process is a huge plus, too. Its such a change not having to wait for your bill after the meal! Super convenient spot for us when were feeling lazy.
