This place in Kelowna is fantastic for food, with a great menu and even better service. The owner and employees are incredibly welcoming and attentive, making every visit a pleasure.My husband visit this place everyday. We both love this place.Highly recommend

I had an extremely disappointing experience with this establishment and would give a negative rating if that option were available. The owner, who was also the sole server at the time, informed us that only takeout was available at 10:30 PM, but did so in a highly unprofessional and rude manner. While I understand that many restaurants have a last call policy, I have never encountered such a dismissive and discourteous attitude from staff before. Due to this poor customer service, I will not be returning to this restaurant, either for takeout or dining in.

The lamb biryani was full of masala with just the right amount of spice. The lassi was excellent too. Both for a reasonable price. The ambiance is the cherry on top. Their entire menu is halal now too. Would definitely come again.

We reserved a table for four of us and we were great fans of another Indian restaurant in town, we decided to try somewhere different and not one of us were disappointed, wow flavours were awesome we all had different meals which all of us were impressed so happy we tried somewhere different! I visited Shambu s last year. The food that time was very low in quantity. It was badly cooked and the taste was not good at all. However , I visited them again this year. And I have already been here like twice a week. The food is freshly prepared. Please take your time and be ready to wait as everything here is fresh and takes time to cook. Tried the samosa chaat and I am a fan. I love it. The chole bhature is perfect too. Also, tried their Rara curry for the first time , it was super nice and chefs special with the butter naans.

Very very long time waiting, just for small order, waiting is for 1:30 hr. Continuously saying it will take 10 min but customer have to wait for more than one hour.. Bad service

I came to dine-in with a friend and we ordered right away. But the man proceeded to complete all take out orders before us. We kept waiting and waiting for our meals but the take out orders were a higher priority then in person customers. Finally after waiting 40 mins we asked when our meal was coming. He produced it in 5 minutes and the chicken korma and naan was delicious. However, it didn t come with rice and we didn t want to wait another 40 minutes for rice. I would never eat in person at this restaurant again. It was very dirty and the man s clothes were covered in food. Why wasn t he wearing an apron?! The uncleanliness definitely reduces your appetite. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because the food was good.

We visited Kelowna this weekend ordered from this restaurant sadly all the dishes were extremely spicy we could barely eat it or taste any flavours but just the red chilli. Even the Dal makhani and Shahi paneer was so spicy that our kids left the food after first bite. If you order from here please make sure you let them your spice levels .

Foul smelling food . Absolutely disappointing customer service . The manager yelled at me about me complaining about the bad food . She was trying to make me feel bad about complaining . This food made me and my family sick. No apologies no positive attitude and instead that lady yelling at me and my parents . Never going back . Don t risk yours and your family s health with this food.

I ordered pav bhaji, dahi puri and chaat papdi. They delivered soggy dahi puri and chaat papdi. The chutney was bitter. The only thing I liked was pav bhaji.

I ordered momos and spring rolls but the chutney(dip) was so bad, just bitter and then extreme spicy. Do not order the chat papdi, gol gappe or the dahi puri for delivery as they dont give them separate, instead they make it and pack it and until it reaches to your home it soggy and gross. The pav bhaji just had 2 small pav and I could not finish even one-third of the bhaji with them.

Part 1. We went to this restaurant on 2nd July. Had a very bad experience. If there is an option for 0 star, I would give that to the restaurant. We ordered food and waited it came one by one and took so long in each order. There was no one in the front. I wanted to talk to my server, so I knocked on the door, and there was a girl working there she was super rude. When I asked for my server, she started fighting with me. Even she said get out of the restaurant. She doesnt know how to talk to customers. If the owner read this please hire more staff and please give them training to talk to customers in nice way. Ill would not recommend to go to there. My family and friends live there, and I already share with them that they will never go there or order take out. Part 2 After reading your reply, I am replying to that,now you are saying the half side. We didnt enter the door because we know it says only for staff we know very well our limits and always respect the ppl who make food in the back. But because of long waiting and none of ur staff was outside, I knocked on the door and just wanted to request to put our tea in takeout cups as we were getting late for our next destination. And now reply to slamming the door on your staff, your employee slammed the door first, you already have a video from outside please check the inside camera she slammed the door first. It is the human gesture that if someone slams a door on your face, then every human will do the same . You can check the inside camera, and then you will figure it out. I was at the front of the door, and she slammed at me. I wish u had the voice recording option, too, which will more clarify This happened to me. I was just trying to give my honest opinion to the owner. There is nothing related to cyber bulling. Its upto u how u take it.

If you like kinda off the beaten path , how did I miss this ? kind of places, this might be worth checking out for you. I have had some of my best meals when I find a place like this . Have only been once , had a lamb dish that was fantabulous and plan to revisit soon. They do have take out and delivery which is a good thing as it is quite small , seating perhaps twenty five to thirty at a time. UPDATE - Returned either to try a different dish or enjoy the lamb dish I was craving, So sad to report quite a different experience. Joey { my dear service dog } and l were met with such hostility that we were triggered. Enough said . It got worse from there , ending with us making a graceful exit . So off to nearby Alcatraz for food , shaking off the event as we left.

Good Appetizers. Veggie samosas with 2 dips for $5. Many other popular Indian dishes to choose from. Very small, bland, L-shaped dining area with 4 booths. Ill try dinner take out another time.

I was in search of a good indian restaurant in kelowna and I stumbled upon this place. I ordered daal makhani and kadhai paneer. The food was amazing. The chef is from delhi and the food had an authentic north indian flavor which you can find only in India.

We had dinner at this place yesterday and oh god I was mesmerized by the flavours. Their paneer pakoras and paneer bathuras was really good. Amazing service by Pawan and Harprit. The Owner Manisha really have talent in her hands and such a humble lady. All other restaurants in Kelowna are just a teaser of Indian flavour, actual movie is Shambhu spice house. Loved it!!! Its a must visit.

We had a delicious meal here. The staff were very friendly and provided excellent service. The food was aromatic, pleasing to the eye and it was cooked in such a way that all the spices seemed to pop. We had the veg samosas, butter chicken, Aloo Gobi and lamb saag with side dishes and I highly recommend them all.

Me, my husband and daughter went to Shambhus Spice house for dinner and we had an amazing dinner. Everything was prepared fresh and tasted very delicious. We had paneer pakora, aloo tikki, chicken pakoras and butter chicken and chana masala. They were all large portions and more than enough for us to have for lunch the next day. We will be back again for authentic Indian taste and the masala chai was exquisite.

Absolutely horrible overall. Firstly, i ordered food for 8 and there was no utensils provided and also no napkins. The workers denied to help us even though they were closing an hour later and they were not listening to us. and then we talked to the manager and she blamed us for the problem. Would not recommend. It was my first visit at this restaurant and the waiting time was so long even for taking order. I understand sometimes it s busy for them but we were cooperating. Also we were not satisfied with the service. The main thing that disappointed us, when we were leaving and went to parking the girl asked did you paid, when we replied yes of course! Then she said just wait, let me check first! That was totally not acceptable and when she confirmed we payed already she was like sorry for that. That was a terrible experience I have till date.

Small place but had great service from young indian guy there. The mix paranthe were spicy and very good. Paneer chole bhature were great as well and the tangy chutney it comes with is great combination. Got alloo prantha for my kid and told them to make it with no spices at all and they followed our instructions well. Pav bhaji was just ok but I guess its more of north Indian style food place and I should have not risked ordering that. Overall a unexpected great experience from this little food joint.

I visited this restaurant for the first time during our trip to Kelowna. They provided bad service and on complaining they agreed to offer some discount on my next order. One employee agrees to $10 off from next order and other says 5% off. And I would not visit this again because of the following reasons: 1) Food taste not justifying the pricing (Never had pav-bhaji that was sweet in taste except for this place). 2) Poor customer service 3) Inconsistency in rules as per their own employees. 4) They didnt let the customer(me) go with pleasant experience to visit them again (and again).

Worst food ever

Since moving from Halifax 2 years ago and missing my favourite restaurant and dish back home, I was on a quest to find the best Lamb Vindaloo in Kelowna. After a number of restaurants I finally found it at Shambhus Spice, not only incredibly delicious with right amount of spice, but also perfect quantity of lamb. Mmm mmm!

I ordered 4 items and I didnt like 2 out of 4 but the service received was good. The girl that was serving was very polite and sweet hence rating it 5. I ordered Dahi Puri, Bread Pakora, Kulche Chole and Gulab Jamun with Ice ream. I didnt like the latter 2. Kulche chole lacked the flavors, it was very bland, gulab jamun was not good and Ice cream served with gulab jamun was very bad. It sure was some tub Ice cream but none of us liked it. Dahi puri was very good and bread pakora also tasted awesome. So overall a nice place to visit if you are craving for some street food. Update: Visited again but unfortunately their rates have increased exorbitantly but the menu is not updated. Bread Pakora still shows 6.25 here on their menu however they charged me $10. Same goes for Dahi puri, they charged me $10 a plate. The taste of dahi puri is good but not worth $10. Samosa was $5 a plate and were small. So these 3 items were $26.25 with taxes which I think should be close $16-18 only. Thats my opinion plus not an ambience one can enjoy dining in. They should really work on their rates. A plan useless customer service on the phone or a take out order. Not in a mood to pass the phone to a manager or accommodate with our questions related to their menu. They serve depending on their mood. Really bad after we went and decided to order something dr here after our friends recommended but we would never anymore neither to order from here. I use to love their Noodle Burger a lot but last two times my experience was really bad thats why I am giving one star only. I dont understand why they start giving half the portion of noodles now. According to price and as the name says (Noodle Burger) the portion and quality of burger is getting bad and even the sauce they use is only Ketchup .
