Server very cheap , rude unprofessional . Food was not good requested refund and was refused. owner came and was rude as well do not recommend please don t go.

This place was so strange, servers had no idea what was on the menu. Took forever to get someone to take our order. Food was not good.

The food was delicious!! Dinner for two with beef and salmon, California rolls to start. Service was friendly and attentive and the bill, more than reasonable. Looking forward to going back again!

Food was absolutely horrendous. Waited 20 minutes to even get noticed and then 20 minutes to get a water. Food came with a frozen vegetable in it. I wish 0 star was a option.

This restaurant came recommended so maybe an off day but it was not good. And the price for some of the dishes (vegetable fried udon & miso soup) was crazy for what we got.

Whenever we get to Kelowna (a 2-hr drive one way for us), we eat here and have for a number of years now. We have settled on our two favourite choices since our first try: a bento box and the dinner for one - usually we have lunch here. Both are great deals, even though the edamame beans are never eaten (rabbit food), and the teriyaki sauce in the dinner option could be a bit more intense. But both are flavourful, and a very good deal for the price. Service is always friendly and attentive and the atmosphere there is so authentic and helped by calm Japanese background music that never overwhelms, unlike many restaurants that have loud obnoxious noise blaring. Have never had a bad meal here and have tried drinking different items over the years. A real stable and dependable place that has maintained its quality. Parking: At lunchtime it can be difficult to find a spot nearby as the lot is shared with another restaurant. But there are more free spaces behind the buildings and on the streets.

I like the little booths. Food is crowd-pleasing. Parking is usually pretty crowded. Price is ok. Vegetarian options: There are lots of sushi opinions and appies and tofu, marked on the menu with a green leaf, that are vegetarian.

Favorite Japanese restaurant in Kelowna

Usually tea is free at sushi restaurants, so I was surprised to get charged $3 for tea. The spicy mayo on the deep fried California roll was gross. The crab was like an imitation crab stick, not shredded like I would have expected. Unfortunately did not meet my expectations at all.

When we go out for Japanese food, we d like to try something different at each restaurant. At Ozeki, they had ginger beef on the menu. We were a little bit trepidatious however it s probably one of the best ginger beef s we ve ever had. We would highly recommend it.

Best sushi in town hands down

This place is by far my favorite place to eat in Kelowna. I have been coming here for years and it is my comfort restaurant. The tonkatsu ramen is rich and vibrant, and it always lifts my spirits. The staff are absolutely wonderful and the dining area is always clean and inviting. I cannot recommend O-zeki enough!!

Our goto for Japanese fare. Amazing tempura, fresh sushi, try the gyoza, ginger beef, soft shell crab, any sushi roll. Top quality, fast and great service. Really our favourite!

very very yummy food

I ve been going to O-Zeki consistently since I was a child and have never once had a bad experience. The sushi is always superb with perfect ripe avocado and they re always generously filled for a price that can t be beat. The place is always super clean and the staff are super friendly. Their teriyaki is the most scrumptious I have ever had and the tempura is always super fresh. I ve made all my friends eat here and now it s everybody s favourite restaurant. :)

Great cozy place yummy food!!

I have been coming here since I was a little girl in the 90s. The quality of food, efficiency of service, and politeness by staff keep me coming back. The cool rooms are a nice feature when you want privacy or help contain loud guests. My favourite is the ebi sunomono and spicy tuna roll. They can accommodate large parties. Highly recommend for family, date night, or solo dining. Kid-friendliness: The separate rooms are great for keeping the kids contained while enjoying cool features like seat cushions and eating yummy noodles.

After a recent (repeat Japan traveler) trip to Japan, we were looking forward to an authentic meal. Everything was great, so much so, that we will return again and again.

Foods quite good but the service and atmosphere is better. Soup comes blistering hot off the stove!

Will not go again unfortunately. Bento boxes were nearly empty. Our shared plate was given without side plates. Our mains came at different times. Left hungry but didn t feel comfortable spending more money here. Went to see family near by for a second dinner.

Went there for the first time valentine s night and the sushi rolls were less than okay. The service was good. Will not go back.

My partner attempted to make reservations before Valentines Day. They said just come in and try luck, no reservations. We did, they said we can only stay 50 minutes, despite there being several empty tables that I noticed were not filled quickly upon our seating. I dont like being rushed to dine, but my partner insisted. The rolled were subpar, not worth the fancy pricing. I ordered udon, but it wasnt very good, and had cold bit. I sent it back and I could hear the server and the cook discussing me which made me very uncomfortable. In the end they charged me for it, which I found unusual. Also, during our time the servers seemed rushed and didnt pay us much attention. It was quite a disappointing experience. The only other time I had ever attended this restaurant was in high school and it seemed to have gone down in quality based on my experience. I prefer other sushi restaurants such as Tokyo one or blue tail

Authentic Japanese ramen

Our favorite sushi place to go on Dad-Daughter Dinners. Great food, the traditional eating nooks make you feel like youre on a little vacation. Always fun.

I have been coming here for many years and honestly, it is one of my favourite restaurants that I have ever been to and will continue going to forever! Every single person that works there is so kind, and its always so welcoming! The food is also to die I usually end up getting the same thing when I switch it up it s funny to see the reactions if you are looking for a wonderful restaurant, with an awesome atmosphere, and even more amazing people this is your place!

Whenever I m in the mood for sushi, I go to this place every time. Great quality of fish and there s plenty of options to choose from. The staff are nice and the atmosphere is great. All of this for a very good price.

Good food fast service authentic atmosphere

Very quick service, authentic Japanese experience, Polite servers and most importantly great food. Recommend the tempura onion roll if you like spicy and crunchy rolls. And the chopped scallop is good if you like creamy seafood type of roll.

Average all the way around. Chicken karage was salt and pepper chicken wings with sweet and hot Thai chili sauce on top. Service was ok, atmosphere was ok. Price was average. Parking sucked.

Placed a orders at 6:15pm said it would be ready for 7:00pm. I went to pick it up said it wouldn t be ready till 7:45, Plus are order was wrong. Would not order from this miss managed restaurant at all!!!

we took are restless 1 and 5 year old here and werent sure if we would even be able to sit down and eat with them but the staff was so welcoming, helpful and accommodating to top it off it was the best sushi weve had in I long time!

Not great! I ordered the Sashimi Bento Box w/Chicken Teryaki. The chicken I think was pre-cooked then just warmed up with the sauce because it was so dry, I couldnt eat it. I wasnt offered an option of the sashimi and was given Tuna. One of the 3 pcs I was given had so much grissol, I couldnt eat it. In the 4 pcs of california role I was served, it was more an avocado role, as it had the thinnest pcs of crab in it. When I was paying I was asked how it was, I told the server. She offered nothing, not even thanks for letting me know, Ill mention it to the chef, offer to compensate etc? I used to come here a lot over the years when I come through Kelowna for business. I will not be back. Sorry

I recently dined at Ozeki Restaurant, and to say that my experience was disappointing would be an understatement. From the moment I walked in, I could sense an air of unprofessionalism and disregard for customer satisfaction. The main issue that ruined my dining experience was when our server, whose name I unfortunately cannot recall, blatantly forced me to tip her a desired amount. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable and goes against the principles of fair tipping practices. As a customer, I should have the autonomy to decide how much to tip based on the quality of service I receive, not be coerced into giving a specific amount. Kid-friendliness: ok

Food is at a fair price for quality and quantity. Tempura stood out as better and chicken teriyaki as mediocre (dry). Tofu teriyaki also odd, soupy teriyaki is fake teriyaki.. Service is prompt enough, especially when servers are required to check each booth since it s a closed floor plan. Food came relatively quickly. Location is convenient to our accommodation so may come again.

We enjoyed all the rolls we ordered, the BC roll being my favorite. We had a private booth and great service. Only complaint is with the size of the rolls. They are very small - however we did leave full and overall satisfied.

Big disappointment after many years of excellent experience. Recent change of owner completely changed the concept. It used to be fresh home-made preparation and it switched to frozen industrially prepared meals. Too bad.

For so many times we dined in this restaurant this is the first time we had bad experienced. We like this place for their food and the set up of their place for privacy of each customer as we have small children and in return of our appreciation we give staff extra cash tip for their good service. However, tonight was different the staff forced us to give them 15% that is for me is so inappropriate as this is not mandatory according to BC tipping etiquette. The staff set the tip for 15% on purpose without even asking us if we agreed or not and for me that behaviour is unacceptable as tipping is not mandatory and based it with the service. I was once a server too but I never forced the customer for the tip. This should be stop as this is so humiliating the whole image of this restaurant. I should had listened to one my friend that had the same bad experienced with this restaurant so disappointing. Never again we will dine to this restaurant.

Such good sushi! So fresh, so well made. We always get takeout from here and they never disappoint! Huge selection of rolls too and friendly customer service.

Sushi rice tasted like it sat for an hour. It was stale and completely devoid of seasoning. I had a deep fried roll that tasted like fried dough. The spicy salmon sashimi was excellent though, so I may have just gotten a bad batch of rice. I love the atmosphere here. If you go make sure you sit in one of the rooms. The server was a solid friendly guy. No complaints there.

Absolute best place to get sushi ever. The food is always fresh and in the dozens of times Ive gone, Ive never left feeling sick, only full to the absolute brim. The flavors are so vibrant and fill your mouth with unimaginable tastes. Service is top tier, all the people Ive met there are very kind, and very professional. The food is cooked faster than any other restaurant in BC that Ive been to. The waiters and waitresses check on you to make sure everything is good with your food and drink, but never feel like theyre bugging you. On the outside, the place may not look like too much, but once you step foot into the building, its like you stepped into a piece of Japan. Once you step in, youre asked immediately if youd like a table, or room (yes, there are small rooms you can have for you and your friends to sit in privacy) then are handed the menus to peruse to your liking, and a drink of water for each person. Once ready, theyll come up to you and write everything down that you ordered, and return in about 10 minutes with your food freshly made, and ready. This place is my number one spot to go to for dates, a nice hangout, or just to eat. I highly recommend this place to any sushi lovers out there. 5/5 for everything. Will continue coming here often!

Half order of squid karaage was very expensive for the amount of food received. I ordered this twice thinking it was a mistake the first time a few weeks back. It tasted good but definitely feels like a lot less food with this order than in the past.

I took my son here and remember my dad taking me here when I was almost the same age. Same great food and service. Im sure its changed hands since but it is nice to see its still there. Thank you!!

Kind of pricey for what you get. Its better than the other options around Kelowna. I like the old school booths. The service was good. But it was an expensive lunch for kind of average sushi.
