Lovely restaurant! The new udon noodles with pancetta was incredible, I love the warm lighting atmosphere, and the servers are knowledgeable and friendly. I used to only get takeout from Yuzu but their dine-in menu items are worth the drive.

I was visiting from out of town and decided to order from this place based on the reviews. The distance was 15 minutes from the place I was staying. When I got home, I realized there was no soya sauce. I called them and told them this. All they could say is sorry. I ended up driving to Walmart to pick up soya sauce. Food will be cold by the time I get to enjoy it.

Food is different for Kelowna. Lunch special is fun to order with a good variation. However a bit greasy on the tacos and small portions.

I have never been to a restaurant that not only fails to bring an order on time, but also asks us if there was anything that we needed as if we already been served and ready to leave. I wouldn t bother to write this without explaining that the food itself was just disappointing overall. Visually nice, over cooked un seasoned reg rice instead of making sushi rice for their sushi. They failed to either have present or provide soy sauce for the table which had to be asked for, twice and again had to ask for a 2nd sauce plate for my gf because she does not have sushi with wasabi but I do. Flavourless I decided to dip them all into my soy and wasabi which thinking I could save the meal this way, however even the wasabi had no flavour or heat. Just overall paid $81 dollars for dishes I can get from the local Safeway. The place looks great, but all fluff no quality.

The sushi is amazing quality and you can tell that everything is prepared with love and care. The crispiness level of everything meant to be crispy was pure perfection. Everything we ordered was absolutely delectable, but we especially loved the Ahi Nori Taco... unreal. The takoyaki was also the best Ive ever had - perfect delicate crispiness outside with such a soft and tasty inside. I could go on and on (and I did to our Uber driver), but Ill tell you what I told him - the food here touched my soul. We recently moved to Kelowna and this will definitely be a regular spot. Already looking forward to the next scrumptious experience and excited to try more on the menu!

Amazing Ramen. Cold beer, Hot Green tea. Its just a great place to grab a classic, but tasty bowl.

Came on a Sunday and it was busy. Took a while to get initial drinks, even longer to order... but the food was worth it. Highly recommend both the Yuzu Shio and Chashu ramens. The Chashu was smoky and incredibly soft, yet a nice chew. The chicken was even more surprising with a deep smoke flavor yet still juicy. We also order rolls. The California crunch, Salmon Aburi were above average, yummy. But the standout was the Trinamite roll, a must order. Smoky yet tangy, with the yam curls added that crunch. We also had the Sunset roll, also way above average but not outstanding. Somehow we were still hungry, tried the Pork Bao. Also above average, deep pork flavor paired with tang and crunch. Would order again. Would come back again solely for the Trinamite roll

Happy hour! Roasted Brussels sprouts were really good! The Gyosa was also delicious. Not too expensive until the bill comes! JK!

Loved the vibe as soon as we walked in, the one waiter who greeted us was great. However, our actual waitor took a bit to get our drink orders and didnt check on us during our meal. I got the deluxe Bento box, it was good. The greens could use a dressing. Also, prep for the kitchen could probably be done in the kitchen just as a suggestion.

My first visit to Yuzu was wonderful! The food was delicious, service was good, and the restaurant has a cozy, modern feel. Really enjoyed the wagyu beef carpaccio and I just HAD to order the tuna poke to go so I could try it and was not disappointed! I will definitely be returning whenever I visit Kelowna again

Everything is super good, well prepared and beautifully presented. The eggs on the avocado toast were poached to perfection, the pork bao buns were amazing, and the pork brussel sprouts were crispy and delicious. Service is top notch, music and decor make you want to stay. This place should be full all the time.

Casual and comfortable Japanese food spot with high-quality ingredients and a diverse selection of menu items. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the server was extremely friendly and helpful. I would recommend getting the specialty boxes since you can try one of each dish.

Fantastic experience, the atmosphere is super cozy and the service was excellent. The Katsu Curry was delicous and the presentation was beautiful. My partner had the Chicken Nanban and said it was also great!

Yuzu is one of my favourite restaraunts downtown, they recently added a new lunch set which is to die for! So much variety and creative japanese inspired dishes too. I always enjoy eating here.

Nice & Welcoming team, a bit inattentive but overall not a big deal. Really great fresh food! I loved my lunch box combo. Especially EBI , gyoza salad, and roasted Brussels were SO good! Miso was mediocre. My partner s ramen was good (it had chunks of grilled chicken). Everything was generous enough. We went for lunch during working days, but I can imagine a reservation would be necessary for the weekends and maybe evenings. We will definitely go back to try other options.

Three words - Honey. Butter. Fries. I could have eaten multiple servings of these - so incredibly delicious and a must-try if you are visiting. The menu is very extensive and I was spoiled for choice but felt like I won the food lottery with the fries and the Mushroom & Swiss Bulgogi Sando. Cooked to perfection! Ordered a pokebowl and it was delicious. Tasted like fresh ingredients, both salmon and tuna tasted fresh, mango was delicious and overall very tasty and the right amount of sauce, not overloaded. I was impressed, parking right infront for convenience. Parking: 15 spots around it.

If I could give 0 stars I would. We ve been here many times but I will never go back again after today. I ordered take out on the phone, I asked the girl on the phone if I could substitute the pork in the bao buns for chicken bcus I don t eat pork!(im Muslim) she said hold on & asked someone and they said yes I could, I also asked if I could get a few extra pieces of chicken on the chicken nanban and she said yes, but didn t tell me the cost. I was assuming it would be $3-4. My bill was a lot higher than usual so once I paid I asked her why there s chicken karage on my receipt for 10.50 as I didn t order that, she said it s for the extra chicken, I nicely said oh I wasn t told that on the phone, she responds, so do u want it or not? I wanted to say something but I didn t & left, I got home had one of the chicken bao buns and my friend looked so shocked, and he said there s tiny pieces of bacon on it! I felt horrible as I ve never had pork before and I mentioned it 3 times on the phone. I called and told them what happened and the owner seemed understanding and offered me $20 credit which I won t be going in to get. That s not the point, the point is when you work in the restaurant industry these mistakes shouldn t happen!

Bad Customer service

I adore salmon aburi and I thought it was only available in Vancouver / my hubby discovered Yuzu and took me there for my birthday. It was divine ! The food was so delicious we were taken great care of .. the salmon aburi was sooo good I went back the next day for take out lunch . Super yum !

Absolutely wonderful. It s great to go to a restaurant where the music isn t blaring. Simply delicious Japanese cuisine. ***Update*** one year later. Not happy with their menu update. $20 for the seafood bowl - a couple of shrimp, a sliver of squid, a couple of fish balls of some sort and 4 smallish mussels. Barely a handful of noodles and broth. The hot sake was a bit off. Really disappointed with the food this time around.

Ordered takeout on a busy Saturday The wait staff were organized and timely The atmosphere was buzzing And I wished I stayed but takeout had to be it tonight I got home to enjoy my food and I was happy in general with my meal I ordered a pork belly bowl and cheesecake for the man My bowl was nicely presented, perfect poached egg which is major points there and the greens were nicely cooked. The rice was great and there were 4 pieces of pork belly in the bowl Which is extremely generous. I dare say any complaint this would satisfy most But I saw a few tiny but important details as any cheflifer like me would The pork belly although well prepared, the fat was quite off-putting, it was gobbing out of 2 pieces, and the flavor profile was just sweet, no depth or character but for 19$ it was good enough The cheesecake was a bet I should not have taken. It just seems like the wrong thing to make as a chef if its not selling the very same day its prepared because the sponge becomes flat and heavy whereas this type of cheesecake is a fluffy wobbly ASMR experience we all want from the dam tiktok videos ya dig? Anywho, my man didnt care it was ate and the berry compote stained his face so life is good. When everyones having fun thats all that matters , I may be back. keep curious and enjoy making fun fusion food

This place is a gem in downtown Kelowna. First off, service is definitely 5-star they are attentive, adequate, efficient and professional. You don t need a server come checkin you out everytime you have a bite. Don t get me started with the sashimi probably the best in town! Their ramen is to die for!!! Well, let me finish this with the best selection of sake flight under $20!!! Go check it out yourself!

We came across this restaurant by accident when looking for a sushi restaurant while wandering around downtown Kelowna at 4pm. These guys are open through the lunch and dinner hour which is very convenient. The other sushi place we tried first didnt open until 5pm. And I was so glad that the other guys were not open because Yuzu was a fusion revelation! Their food was really delicious! Their Chicken Karaage was super flavourful and filling. The Sweet Chili sauce was robust and definitely not the usual gel-like sauce that comes in a bottle. Their Prawn Nori Taco was an absolute revelation of flavour and texture! I am a professional chef and love to experiment but would never have dreamed up this crispy creation on my own. To make it even more appealing their price points were very reasonable. I was so excited to have found this gem of a restaurant and I will definitely be back! This will also be my new go-to outlet for take-out/delivery. Really, Really Good Food! I cannot recommend them highly enough. I noted on the menu that they also accommodate Gluten-Free needs so its a great place for celiacs to visit confidently. Best roasted brussel sprouts.

You are first met with a nicely decorated dining room with a perfectly lit area. Once seated, I was impressed by the sake selection and the staff were very knowledgeable to help select one. The food menu is very extensive and prices for the meal were very reasonable. The quality of the overall dining experience could easily place the amount I spent a good few dollars higher. If you are looking for a relaxed place to enjoy a good dinner this is certainly the place to go.

Chasu miso ramen taste is not japanese authentic

Stumbled across this outstanding Japanese restaurant. 4 of us had an amazing lunch on NYE. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly. Everything we ordered was so tasty, cooked and presented perfectly.

My first experience at Yuzu was shared with a friend of mine and it did not disappoint. We found that we both enjoyed the atmosphere, friendly staff and downtown location of this locally owned Japanese restaurant. She chose the Smokey Mango Bowl - and loved it - while I tried the Lunch Box special (as pictured), which offered a perfect opportunity to try several options all in one curated, beautiful presentation. This platter was also accompanied by a bowl of miso soup and some rice. It was delicious! And very filling. Also, we found the flavors of our dishes quite delectable and learned that all of their sauces are made in house. Huge props! One of our dishes was entered wrong and after bringing the wrong bowl, staff quickly remade it for us. It would have been nice to have a break on the bill or something to acknowledge that we ended up having to eat individually at either end of our visit. Despite the hiccup, Im looking forward to returning soon to continue exploring their menu!!

I LOVE Yuzu! Lynn and Chef Eric have created such a wonderful space with honestly some of the best food in Kelowna. There is such artistry and creativity that goes into the dishes at Yuzu as well as the atmosphere. They recently launched a new menu and its amazing. I am vegan and what I really appreciate about this restaurant is that their vegan options are just as complex and creative as their non-vegan dishes. Their vegan poke bowl and crunchy avocado roll are two of my favourites! Lynn and Eric also recently(ash) took over Misato and it is an amazing spot for sushi (at any time of day) but I appreciate that theyre open into the night! You never know when the sushi cravings will hit.

Really like it here. Definitely recommend dropping by if in the area. Good bang for buck; can get a rice bowl for around $20, add on $2-3 for a few sides. Fills you up well and is tasty. I recommend braised pork but the other ones are good too. Fizzy yuzu drink is really refreshing, especially for the summer. Service is friendly, I ve come several times and with different staff, still a great experience.

Food was great - especially, the Takoyaki. I wouldve wanted some Ocha to go along with my meal but they didnt have those (?) though I asked. The wait times for the food for the bill were quite long (~30+ min each) [they may have been understaffed that day] but I wasnt in a rush so I wasnt too bothered. Would definitely be back again!

Their salmon is not farmed raised and high quality wild fish. I was a bit shocked when the kitchen said that but when we tasted their salmon don, it was amazing! Totally worth the price. We also had their bulgogi which my toddler ingested with no problem and my 6mo ate his veggies happily. We do blw so it was nice for the kitchen to present us with steam broccoli, tofu and avocado for the baby. Will come back again for sure. Kid-friendliness: We do baby-led-weaning so I asked the kitchen if they could steam some broccoli, tofu and cut some avocado for our 6mo. They did and even presented beautifully. They also charged the portion.

I had a salmon poke set. Although its nothing ground-breaking, the combination of food flavors was good and adequate. Ingredients were fresh. I liked the energy of the spirited servers too. The yuzu drink was refreshing, although Id liken it to saucy Sprite. I might still order it again though.

I was really torn about this place. The food was delicious. Were a huge fan of yuzu drinks so were happy to get to try some new ones but we were seated and then waited 15mins to be acknowledged. Had it been busy that might have been understandable but there were two other tables and 2 servers walking around. Only after the second time attempting to flag someone down did we get waters and service but it was an odd experience.

Food was ok but the service was superrr slow... They took more than 20 minutes or more for this basic order and there were just 2 more tables occupied so taking about 25 mins was just too much. Ordered Gyoza, Chicken Karaage, 2 Protein sides, chicken and prawns and Miso Soup. Soup was tasty but too salty. Gyoza was stuffed less with the meat, outer coating was more which I personally dont like. Karaage was good, crispy yet soft and the sides were ok. So overall an ok experience. Visited again: Service has improved and Mathew was friendly. Gyoza has also improved. There were no pickles with Karaage this time which was a disappointment. Brussel Sprouts were good but lacked salt. Pork bao bun was fresh and soft but had very few pickles. I tried their happy hour for the first time, maybe they skimp on somethings during Happy Hours, not sure but overall nice. Visited again during Happy Hours and tried their Chili Tofu Bites for the first time. 2 portions of Brussel sprouts, 2 portions of Gyoza and Sapporo. I wouldnt recommend tofu as its the soft version not the firm which I personally dont like plus the sauce served along is not a match. None of us liked however I highly recommend Gyoza, its well made and tastes good. Brussel Sprouts are also good. Sapporo for $5 during Happy hours is a great deal. Our server Judy was also friendly. I recommend this place! Vegetarian options: You can try Tofu, Brussel Sprouts, Miso Soup etc.

Wow! This little locally owned Japanese spot was exactly what I was hoping for and more. My sister and I both ordered the Shogudo(?) Lunch Box and absolutely loved it. This specialty curated, high quality lunch box was above and beyond of what I couldve expected. The sauces were all very exquisite and tailored well with their dishes. The meat was cooked for maximum pleasure. The simplicity and execution of each side to this dish was an experience I will remember. I am excited to try more of their dishes. I highly recommend trying Yuzu if you like high quality food at a reasonable price.

Being a chef for nearly 20 years, Ive made some good wonton soups. But Yuzu blew me away with the immaculate wonton soup. The best Ive ever tasted. On top of that, I have ordered from them multiple times now and their flavour and quality has been 100% consistent and absolutely delicious. The price for food is as average as if you went anywhere else, and you sure do get what you pay for at Yuzu!! 100% will dine here again. 10/10 HIGHLY recommend!!!

I liked my first experience so I visited the second store. The atmosphere of this store was good, but there were some very noisy customers. I couldnt talk to my friends. And the server smiled kindly, but I couldnt get the service I wanted. The food came out wrong, but there was no apology.

We ordered chicken teriyaki, it tasted good but the chicken was not very good. The waiter was not very friendly, but the service was quick.

Favorite lunch place downtown Kelowna!

My wife has been here a few times and we finally got some time to check it out and it truly doesn t disappoint the pork Katsu is beautiful I recommend it with a Sapporo . Also huge shout out to the server who ran us out my wife s sunglasses we appreciate it so much thank you.

Had dinner with my son on Friday night, the food was amazing with many flavors to enjoy. Service was excellent and the prices were fair. Will be going back soon.

A good blend of conventional and unconventional Japanese cuisine. I highly recommend the Yuzu Shio Ramen. My wife loves the Brussel Sprouts and the Bao Buns.

The best Japanese Restaurant in Kelowna. Nowhere else even comes close. The space is very nice and contemporary. Service is very good and prompt. The food is very good and their lunch box is a great selection of dishes. I would like more classic sushi and roll options on the menu as the rolls they do offer are very good. I will return again and again.

Best Japanese restaurant in Kelowna, love it,much try again

I was there with medium size party. I cancelled my food order after everyone else was done eating and i still didnt get my food for over an hour after it was ordered. The food might be good but i have no idea. At least there was a skip option for the tip. The discount was appreciated but really I just wanted to eat dinner. Had high hopes but got wendys on the way home.

Pretty good place. Had a poutine there once which was great. Probably the best poutine in town. In a recent visit I learned they removed it from the menu and was very disappointed to hear that. I hope they bring the best poutine in town back to the menu. That was the best item on the menu for sure!

Very good sushi. Well priced and the staff is extremely friendly. Shrimp tempura is excellent. Light battered and alway hot. Salmon sashimi is very good. Rolls are very good and well priced. Beer like in Japan, cold and crisp and in a Sapporo mug. Better than Momo sushi and Blue Tail in Kelowna. Glad it is also downtown.

Excellent service, food and atmosphere. Very good pricing. Deserves more hype for dinner! Highly reccomend. The sashimi was amazing. Lots of creative, fusion type items that are very fun to eat. Nice presentation.

Yuzu Bowl and Bistro in Kelowna has become my absolute favourite spot. I couldnt resist going back three times in a week, and believe it or not, twice in a single day yes, its that good! What sets them apart is not only the delectable cuisine but also the unparalleled customer service that leaves a lasting impression. During my latest visit, I called in for takeout for the first time, and to my surprise, the very nice lady who answered the phone recognized my voice and remembered my name immediately, from a couple of weeks ago (Im not from Kelowna!!). This level of personalized service is truly remarkable and showcases the dedication of the staff to creating a welcoming and memorable experience for their patrons. One of the standout aspects of Yuzu Bowl and Bistro is the speed at which the food arrives. Whether dining in or opting for takeout, the efficiency with which they prepare and deliver their dishes is truly commendable. The staff, without exception, are not only efficient but also exceptionally friendly, creating an atmosphere that feels like a home away from home. As someone that loves sushi, they ve definitely exceeded my expectations in terms of quality and variety. My personal favourite, the Sashimi Mori, is a divine assortment of fresh, melt-in-your-mouth sashimi. I ve also tried their bento lunch box special, which not only provided excellent value for money but also showcased the chefs skill in creating a well-balanced and satisfying meal.
