Best yangnyeom chicken in town. My bf and I are addicted. The quality of meat is great everytime and its just the right amount of crispy.

Customer service is rude and overpriced

They have halal options. All their chicken is halal. The food tasted great and the service was fast. The restaurant was clean so were the washrooms.

It was very tasty, but pretty expensive. Ordered a half order with two different flavours and it cost almost $30.

As far as fried chicken goes, it is excellent with some tasty Korean themed flavours.

So the lady at the front was very unfriendly to start, I have a client in a wheelchair and he was trying to speak to her and she didn t care to even try and listen to what he was saying. Then we had to wait for our food for a bit which is totally fine! But instead of calling out that our food was ready the two of them working just let the bag sit for a good 5 minutes (would have been longer) without saying a word to us ( for all I know it could have been a skip order or door dash etc ) and I went up and asked about it after waiting for a bit to see if any people were showing up for it. How hard would it have been to just call us over!? There was NO one in there . Just not a friendly place that I would go to ever again!

I ordered a half order of chicken, as I usually do. Upon returning home, I noticed that the chicken tasted off. Concerned, I immediately called the manager to report the issue. Unfortunately, my concerns were dismissed with a nonchalant response, stating that there was nothing different about the chicken. This lack of accountability and dismissive attitude was disappointing, especially from a place I ve trusted for so long. Deciding to give them the benefit of the doubt, I ate the chicken. This turned out to be a grave mistake. I woke up the next morning with a severe stomach ache and have been experiencing vomiting since 9:00 a.m. This incident has raised serious doubts about the hygiene and quality control at Chico Chicken. Given this experience, I strongly believe that the manager should be held accountable for dismissing my concerns without proper investigation. Their approach to customer feedback and potential food safety issues is alarming and unacceptable. Until Chico Chicken addresses these issues, I would recommend exploring other reputable chicken restaurants in town. There are many excellent alternatives that prioritize both food quality and customer satisfaction, unlike my recent experience at Chico Chicken. I will be contacting head office local staff very rude and not professional.

I lived on Chicko in downtown van, really disappointed that I ordered from these guys and they reheated some old stuff, didnt have the same crunch, chicken was bad, was almost heartbreaking as I love the vancouver branches

Some of the best chicken I have had good flavor and I have tried all the spice levels ! The only bad part is the building. The washroom is not part of the building. You have to go out doors walk around the side of the building to another door with long hallway to the washroom. Seems to be the bathroom is shared with other businesses. That was a bit of a hassle

I can t say enough about the Buldak chicken!! Truly amazing flavour very crispy, slight sweet (but not over powering), with a bit of a kick for spice! The meat is very lean and tender and it s extremely fresh! The half serving was plenty for one person without a side of fries. Just wish they had a choice of salad as a side dish. The only down side is it is strictly chicken, fries and drinks, no other sides. If you re ordering through SKIP then you could always get a FULL order and make a big salad and this would feed a family of four. I will definitely be back!!

Worth the wait. We order ahead for pickup, and its always hot and flavourful! We like yangyeom and soy garlic the most. Best Korean fried chicken in the area. Good value too, as one half box can be eaten as leftovers the next day. Easy for friends

Good chicken awful service kid at the counter is fully inept 45 minute wait for take out it was ready after 20 minutes but he doesnt call out any names or that orders are ready. Not going back.

Ive heard lots of good things so gave it a try. They only had boneless chicken today which was dissapointing. The pieces were really small. I ordered the plain fried chicken. It was just ok. Portion size was large though. Shake shake fries were good. That cheese powder is really good.

First time trying Korean chicken it s so good

I have number of reasons why; First, no one greets us for over 5 mins standing infront of the cashier. Take note, were NOT on que. 2 staffs are already knows were just waiting for them to assist us but no ones wants to acknowledge. Second, we placed our orders and said 20 mins for us to wait. We have no problem with that but then suddenly number of people AFTER us was gotten their orders first. Meaning, i ordered before them but mine goes LAST. (They served 4 to 5 people after us) Third, no one approached for our number order though i already says my number (their numbering is in ascending order). Until i came at front to asked what is happening. Ended up mine was MIXED up with those deliveries online. Fourth, No apology, nor sweet word to patch up their service negligence. Sad coz its our first time to try their product, and were excited but the bad memory will never forget.

I love living in Kelowna! And when I heard about this place I had to go. The chicken is crispy juicy and LOADED with spices and flavour it was about 14$ for a great amount of chicken the food is made fresh and takes about 10-20 minutes for them to make for fresh chicken it s worth it I will be back 5 STARS

I just cant stop coming here. EASILY best fried chicken in kelowna. Tbh is good/regular KFC Ive had in Korea or Vancouver, etc. but compared to Kelowna places, this is TOP TIER Food

Had never heard of Chicko Chicken and were driving back from Alberta and took the chance! Sure glad we did! Was probably the best chicken. We have had EVER! Huge order has the 1/2& 1/2 and had shake fries and Yam fries! So much I had the leftovers tonight! Such awessome chicken we will make the hour drive to Kelowna to get more! Fantastic!!

The flavour of the fried chicken was good, but we got a lot of fat.

The batter was too... not that good... sticky oil, etc... I was very disappointed because it had a greasy and unique smell. Its a very disappointing taste. It didnt taste good. Both fried chicken and green onion chicken... Not tasty at all..

It s obvious that a customer is a nuisance

Best fried chicken in town! Food came out piping hot, both the fries and the chicken. We got the Half and Half with Soy Garlic and Original chicken. Both were delicious and crispy. Also a lot of food - easily enough for 3-4 people. The shake shake fries are essentially fries with mac n cheese seasoning and its delicious!

This is hands down my favorite Korean fried chicken spot in town. The cheese snow (bone-in) chicken is my go-to order, and I have a confession: I cant resist licking the cheese powder stuck on the box. Its addictive! The key is to enjoy the chicken fresh and crispy, so I always make sure to eat it within 10 minutes of getting it.

Especially as a Korean international student, I felt Jung in this place. Its taste reminded me of Korea. It was so delicious! The outside is crispy and the inside is completely moist and juicy. The owner and staff are all very friendly. thank you In particular, as a Korean student studying abroad, I felt a sense of affection here. It was a taste that reminded me of Korea.

I think they are frying salmon skin or something in the same oil as the chicken. The chicken has a very strong aftertaste of fish. Maybe theyre running a ghost sushi restaurant on door dash?? Or is it just old oil? It was edible, but just barely...

Hands down the best chicken I have ever had, the cheesy chicken is out of the world. Would recommend this to anyone.

Yangnyeom chicken is really good

I was absolutely appalled by the attitude of the male staff here. If you dont want to ruin your day, never come to this disgraceful place. He was the worst person Ive ever encountered in terms of customer service. Horrible!! Horrible!! Horrible!! Horrible!! Horrible!! Horrible!! (The man who served our couple that day, I strongly recommend that you receive character education before dealing with business.) I was very offended by the attitude of the man who seemed to be trying to treat people. The food was salty and didnt taste the same as before. It takes a place like this to come to your senses. If you dont want to ruin your mood that day, dont go.

Ordered take home very late in the eve. Cook fresh every order. Takes a few minutes but worth it Food

Ive had lots of Yangnyeom flavoured chicken in Vancouver, including other Chicko Chicken chains, but they just didnt taste right. The Chicko Chicken in Kelowna, of all places, had the best Yangnyeom chicken Ive had in a while and it tasted like what Ive had growing up in Korea.

Great fried chicken. I came here multiple times and tried their Cheese Snow, Haek Buldag and Yangyeom. I personally prefer a half and half with the Cheese Snow and Yangyeom. The amount of chicken they give is really large, so if you are ordering a full size or a half and half, its best to share with someone.

I ordered chicken from here yesterday but the chicken was so smelly and looks very old inside to eat.

There is more batter than chicken. I would not eat here again. Not the Korean chicken I know.

Amazing food, wow! Weve been craving good fried chicken since the last korean fried chicken place closed down in 2020. We finally tried this place last night and were completely blown away by how amazing the food was. I like that the menu is small and focused, because what they do make, they make extremely well. We got two full orders of chicken and two orders of fries for two adults and two kids and had lots left over for lunch the next day. We tossed the chicken in an air fryer and it was still delicious. We cant wait to come back!

Delicious fried chicken. Its awesome to have Korean fried chicken in Kelowna. I was thinking I would have to road trip to the coast or island but decided to look local again. I was happily surprised to see Chicko available. I usually get Original half order through skip the dishes across town, so I have stove ready on broil and has never disappointed. Thanks!

Chicken was quite good though their hours dont seem consistent. Quite a fryer smell in the store but all in all the chicken was tastier than we expected.

I must say. If you have eaten here once, you will be eating here again! Hands down the best fried chicken I have ever had. Every piece was meaty, absolutely no fat, skin was on point for crispiness. I ordered the full with half and half flavours. Snow cheese is simply the best buttery yet cheesy, words cannot describe that deliciousness. The sweet and spicy was a great second place contender, not too sweet and not too hot, a perfect blend that will definitely take your taste buds for a ride! Everyone else that has given anything other than 5 stars, must be fake reviews as this place would get 10 stars if I could. Yeah it smells like a deep fryer in there, get your order to go. I walked in, placed my order and they said would be about 20 minutes. I went back to the car to wait. Exactly 20 minutes went by, walked back in and they had just called my name. Amazing service. Amazing food, enough said!

We purchased the original chicken with multiple sauces to try all the different flavours and they were all fantastic! Our family will be long term customers!

I ordered a half chicken covered in cheese snow and it was really tasty. Ive never had anything like that before and Im looking forward to another meal from chicko chicken. Ordering online was easy and my order was ready for pick up in 20 mins.

The chicken was very good! Crispy, juicy, and delicious. We tried their original, padak-padak, and yangyeom. Some of the piece for the yangyeom had a bit too much soy sauce but overall it was a good balance of sweet and spicy. My favorite was the yangyeom.

I like taste and flavors of chicken However, I had horrible experience with parking. I parked at the cutomer parking in front of store to pickup my order. HiFI Atttic owner blocked the my car . and I couldnt move out for 30 minutes. I called police and get out. Even they have issues with parking lot, they shouldnt illegally block access. You should watch out Grand Cherokee Cherokee blocking access to road. He is very very grumpy man

I showed up at 5:01 they opened at 5:00. Apparently chicken takes 30-35 minutes here which seems to be a standard practice according to the sign at their order counter that says MINIMUM 20 minutes. Now let s break this down . In the 31 minutes I ve sat in my car since being the first customer through the doors at 5:01 I ve seen at least 15 customers walk out with their orders . Either I m on an episode of MTV PUNKED or I smell like the forest fires from last summer I could order an fertilized egg at Buckerfields, incubate it in the spare air fryer, which my Mother in Law will probably buy me- WHEN I eventually get married, proceed to raise the chicken, sing 4 nursery rhymes to newly raised chicken, slaughter the chicken, clean the chicken, HIRE Tom Brady to throw my now-slaughtered chicken in a deep fryer all the way from New England to the deep fryer on my porch (which I don t have), order chicken seasoning off of Alibaba- have the sauce stuck in the Suez Canal for 2 weeks before I get my chicken from this place . In summary? I d pay double for a McDonald s cheeseburger at this point. Cheers but yo won t catch me coming here again, I just lost 41 minutes of my life writing the most accurate realistic review of my life. What on earth takes 41 minutes to throw some pre cut chicken in batter and into a deep fryer?????

Wanted to try this place as we heard how great their chicken and sauces were. Only open after 5:00 pm which made it not so convenient. Chicken flavours were good but the rubbery chicken inside the uncooked batter left us wondering what all the fuss about this place was for (especially at $30+ for 2 half-orders). Yes the large chicken chunks made it better than popcorn chicken or chicken nuggets, but probably played a part in the rubbery undercooked meat inside. Didn t hate it but didn t love it either. Fell short of the expectations we had, especially after hearing how great this place was. Not in any rush to eat here again.

Honestly. Best chicken in Kelowna. I work turn arounds and last 2 weeks off I discovered this place and we had to come back 3x on my trip home. Original is amazing. Snow cheddar... my personal favorite its the godly combination of cheesy popcorn seasoning and fried chicken. Whats not to love. The sweet hot and soy ginger are out of this world. So perfectly thick with sauce they didnt lose much temperature up to black mountain because the crisp + sauce hold the temperature so well. Dont let the price point fool you. You get a ridiculous amount of chicken (least boneless) 1 half + half order plus one more individual half order to get 3 flavors gives my family of 3 dinner + 2 moderate lunches. It reheats in an airfryer PERFECT I have little to no reason to go elsewhere in kelowna for fried chicken. This is the spot

Loved it! We decided to try their Korean chicken and got the boneless Soy Garlic and the Plain with YangYeom Sauce and Buldak to dip, as well as fries. Their chicken was crunchy and delicious. We all loved the Soy Garlic, it was similar to honey garlic but definitely not as sweet. The Plain, really had no flavour, so I would highly recommend getting sauce on it or getting some dips. We found both Buldak and YangYeom sauce way too hot for our liking. So if you really like spicy food, enjoy. Just glad we got it on the side instead of all over. My mom doesnt mind spicy and even she almost choked when she just took a drop to taste. So we ended up getting a side of Soy garlic sauce as well. Next time we will only order the Soy Garlic, we did love the flavour. The fries tasted very similar to Costco fries. Which we like, so they were good. Overall, we enjoyed our meal, just found some too spicy or not enough flavour. But the Soy Garlic totally made up for it. If you like spicy, you may love the sauces. We found everything done well, they were very friendly. Answered our questions. It was quite warm inside for dine in, didnt seem so at first, but the longer we were in there the warmer we felt. Hope they turn up the air conditioning a bit. Also, there were no bathrooms that we saw. Maybe there is ones that you have to get keys for and go somewhere else...seemed like someone was returning a key as we came in, but I cant be sure. So I would just note that there are no obvious bathrooms. All in all a good experience that we will do again some day.

Way to expensive for what you get and waaay to long of a wait I doubt this place will last more then a few years, too long of a wait for people on lunch break, no parking at all but the chicken did taste good

We tried this last night and oh my god it was delicious. We got the soy garlic chicken and some shake shake fries. Not only were they perfectly crispy but actually arrived hot! Hands down will be ordering again!!

Best chicken, worst customer service

Food was great as normal. Service was terrible, I was told 35min and it was nearly an hour before I got there and was told that it would still be over 7 minutes. They had pizza delivered to themselves inside the restaurant as well. Trying to order on the phone was very irritable as well.

Very good chicken. Ate in the restaurant it was extremely cold no heat. Tables not cleaned or wiped. Obviously the business is more take out.

The chicken is great but they ll close at random and sometimes mark all products as sold out , even though everything is fine when you go in store. If you happen to be walking by and they ve decided to stay open, try it. If you re planning to pick up their food on your way home or something, take your business somewhere that wants it. Chicko may have just decided to close 1-2hrs early again happens often.

It is fantastic and amazing to have this chicken restaurant in Kelowna! It would be the best chicken ever. There is a famous green onion chicken in Korea. There are beautiful female staffs and the owner is very kind and handsome.

Its good for the everyone especially kids too because there are snow flake chicken is good for kids and my favorite was soy sauce chicken it was delicious

Really great fried chicken! The soy garlic flavour is delicious and the yangyeom is good too (spicy and sweet). I still have to try the other flavours... but good size portions and their fries are good too! Cant recommend enough!
