It was so, so delicious!!

Tofu spicy soup was one of the best we ve had. Portions are great too. Definitely recommended.

Ordered two sweet potato noodles off DoorDash and when my order came the portion size was half the amount and they didn t give me the beef which was apart of the meal. Called the store and they told me they would give me extra meat the next time! Sorry but there won t be a next time!

Cold noodles are delicious! Cold noodle is a must! The bulgogi was also delicious! Also, I recommend their bulgogi, super flavorful!

Overall, I enjoyed it :) The interior and menu composition were clean and nice. However, its not that the food isnt seasoned properly... Is it savory? It was too bland for my taste. There were some parts that left something to be desired, including the ingredients, preparation, and details of the dish itself, but considering it was a city, I thought it was quite delicious. (Even for the same dish, there is a dolsot version and a flat version, but the reason for ordering the dolsot version is the savory rice that presses and the fiery taste that comes from the sauce sticking together... I honestly didnt think there was any reason to order it because there was nothing like that.) Bulgogi is delicious, but it has a lot of broth, so I thought foreigners who dont know this dish might think of it as a soup noodle dish along with glass noodles. However, I was a little disappointed that the tteokbokki had no taste at all when eaten with other dishes. For tea, I ordered yuzu and corn silk tea, and it came out neatly in the kettle, and I drank it well because I didnt use a tea bag. No side dishes are provided :)

Ordered the ttuk baegi bulgogi yesterday around dinnertime and I couldnt stop shitting myself the whole night and Im in the hospital right now because my right leg got completely shredded apart by a pontoon motor so its really hard to get up move around and now Im constantly shitting myself AVOID AT ALL COST

This place was a most pleasant surprise. I was pessimistic that it would have any real Korean food because its called Asian fusion and its hard to find true Korean food outside of much larger metro areas, but my fears began to be allayed when I stepped through the door and heard 90s Korean pop--the kind of music before kpop was a thing. We ordered soondooboo and bibimbop, and they were excellent. They easily could have passed muster to be more than acceptable in Korea. The server, who I think owns the place with her family, was most attentive to our needs. The only drawback was that there was no banchan (community shared plates) at all, but our server said that the restaurant will begin offering them in August. This place is well worth a visit for a taste of what youd find in Korea.

I felt that my original review from YEARS ago was outdated. Back then, I had a bad experience with the closing hours. But the past few years, Ive been picking up from here often enough that the staff would recognize me and were so kind!! And the food is delicious, Im a huge fan of the kimchi jjigae especially. An absolute must-have in Kelowna <3

They were friendly, but all the food wasnt seasoned well, there wasnt even any kimchi, and it wasnt very tasty.

No fancy decor, but AOK. The food was very good. We each ordered a dish and shared portions. Each one was very tasty. The combination made a superb meal.

This is my go-to place for authentic Korean food in Kelowna! Got the bulgogi take-out which really hit the spot (and it was packaged with care - with aluminum foil inside the container to maintain heat, similar to the hot plate when dining in). The sweet potato noodles had just the right amount of chewiness. The fish cake in their tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) is also unique and more flavourful than the ones Ive had elsewhere. !

I liked hot stoned bibimbap and spicy soon doo boo(spicy tofu soup). It was my favorite two among four menus, me and my parents ordered, 2 hot stoned bibimbap, bulgogi stew and spicy tofu soup. It was my birthday, and I was happy to spend my birthday with my family with delicious food!! Spicy tofu stew, you should order it right now!!!

This is one restaurant that the COVID pandemic did not destroy. It has stayed pretty much the same. Vegetarian options: Choose your own protein, they have tofu. There are several menu items suitable for vegetarians. Kid-friendliness: They dont seem to mind young families with kids at all. My kids like the food.

Horrible food! Dont bother going here. Restruant is so smelly! For us we love korean food and food here was so not worth it and quantity for bbq was a joke! One api size bbq plate was told good for two people ! Lol it wasnt even an appetizer size. Horrible taste. Server was the only nice one here

Even though they were going to close in ~35mins for cleaning they accepted our group of 11 to dine in for lunch. Friendly workers and super nice. Food was delicious and given out quite quickly. Visited for a Kelowna trip and I would go definitely go back if I could. I would want more options on the menu but the selection they had is just as great.

Great Korean food. I think the price to value is a little rough but over all the quality is great. I would recommend having maître d to help non Koreans learn how to eat. Parking: Apparently there is assigned parking Iv never used it never had an issue.

I come here or order from here at least twice a month since I moved to kelowna. I love the food and i love the service. The kimchi fried rice is always delicious and worth every penny. I also really love the pork bulgogi and the bibimbap. Couldn t recommend more. The kbbq tacos are also an amazing appetizer that can be shared with the table. My go-to korean restaurant in kelowna for sure.

This Korean restaurant is delicious, delicious, and delicious. But the service is average, and the seasonings that should be provided normally need to be asked before they are provided.

My family is visiting Kelowna for the first time and found this Korean bistro while being around downtown. Im not a meat lover so I ordered bibimbob with tofu & soy sauce and seafood taco to share with my husband. The food is soooo good and they are not salty, just perfect to our taste. My son had kimchi fried rice which cant be bad bibimbop with tofu and seafood taco hands down and highly recommended I went on a short trip to Kelowna and found it while walking downtown and had an early dinner. The tofu stone pot bibimbap and seafood taco were absolutely delicious! I chose the dolsot bibimbap with soy sauce and it was just right and not too salty, and the seafood taco was spicy and delicious with the spicy mayo sauce. I highly recommend the clean taste! Good food. Nice staff. You can order online for take out. You can find this restaurant on Skip the Dishes for food delivery on the app. I like the prawns here and the deep fried mashed potatoes. Free parking. Check out their online menu. Lots of choices. Not too expensive.

My daughter has learned to support locally & to sample a wide variety of dining out cuisine. Because It was Thursday & the advent of Easter holidays an acknowledge of Gods omnipotent Love in Kelona , So... we chose to celebrate by coming out to this Korean place and dine together. The food was both tasty and nutrition affordable and attractively presented. It was a wonderful setting gratiously serving our Best Wishes.

Delicious, authentic Korean food. Tried their dolsot bibimbap, ddukbokki and seafood sundubu soup -- all great. Friendly service & also accommodating by providing vegan options.

Had Soon-Doo-Boo with veggies and it was very lackluster, mostly rice and very few veggies. I mentioned the veggies to the server and she gave more carrot and onion which I appreciate but it didnt really improve the dish. Perhaps its my fault somewhat since this is a dish that generally has pork or seafood so they did not know how to adapt to make it veggie centric. Good service

This place has the best gyoza, nowhere else compares. And everything else all tastes great! This place is amazing!

A great little restaurant downtown that doesnt get the traffic it deserves. The Korean Barbecue Tacos are a thing of beauty. I order them 9/10 times. If Im REALLY hungry Ill order the Pork Bulgogi.

WARNING: Kitchen closes at 7:45pm! Came here 7:44pm and was denied seating. Previous week, my friend and I came 7:55pm and was also denied seating. Denied seating for two weeks in a row now and this is pretty much the only time I can eat out for dinner. Its just ridiculous when lots of other restaurants close 15 minutes before actual closing time, unlike Soban that actually closes 45 minutes before actual closing time.

Bad experience

Soban is one of my favorite places to in the whole Okanagan. Great staff, excellent food, fantastic prices, homey decorum. All in all, I will always recommend Soban to anyone willing to try something new and fresh.

Food is amazing but the service doesnt exist. 4 tables and the waitress couldnt bring water in 15 minutes. Another table came and sat closer to her so they were brought water and their order was taken. I walked up to order but the phone rang and she had to take their order. Dont waste your time going there; just Skip the dishes

I honestly love going to Soban! One of the only places in Kelowna that has authentic Korean food at an affordable price! The food is always great quality basically what you would find at any Koreatowns in the lower mainland. The server this past week, (I think she was Korean) was very friendly. Great experience overall!

Prompt service and output of takeout food. Hostess asked us to wait outside and she brought out the bags of food when ready. The stir fried sweet potato noodle was tasty with lots of shredded veggies. Bibimbap with beef and veggies on rice was filling, always enjoy mixing the ingredients! Also had the kimchi fried rice, which had a bit of a kick but wasnt too spicy. Reasonable prices, would return!

My family buy 4 beef bibimbap and it cost 12.5 each. When we open the food the portion of the meat is like 1 teaspoon for each. Im very disappointed. for me it cost too much.. its not worth it.

Agedashi tofu: 10/10 best weve ever had. Surprising at a Korean restaurant but would 100% recommend! Dooboo tofu soup: pass not very good. Budaejigae: husband liked it.

Soban is really nice! We go here often and love the traditional Korean stuff but they also have these neat fusion tacos that are also wonderful. Definitely a nice place to go when youre kickin around down town having a nice time.

I only come back for the chicken bulgogi compared to the beef bulgolgi, the potato noodles can be overwhelming in the beef dish. The kimchi has a nice, light flavor, not too funky. The bibimbap is mediocre here, overall some dishes are missing the essence flavor of Korean food. But I would highly recommend the chicken bulgogi as a dish to try for the first time, you wont be disappointed. :)

I hadn t been in years - after the original owners left I felt like it wasn t the same anymore. Not sure if it has changed hands again but wow I was missing out. Had the soondubu with pork - this is an incredible dish done to perfection. Comes out bubbling with sticky rice on the side - excellent winter dish. My bf had never been, he enjoyed the bulgogi. Sadly as a celiac I can t have much on the menu but regardless I will be back, because though I hate to admit it their soondubu is better than mine : )

Ordered beef bulgogi. For some reason it comes with a bed of noodles and rice. No need to have noodles in my opinion. Teriyaki flavour was minimal. Recommend going to sushi hama instead.

The taste of kimchi stew is not very good. It would be better if it was sharper.

The food here is soooooo good, that we ordered it twice in one week and my husband still talks about how good the food is. We wanted to order again the other night, but it was closed which made us sad, but we are very happy with this place and the prices are reasonable and the servings are huge

I wanted to like this place, but my skip the dishes order was a let down. They did accommodate my request for rice instead of noodles on my Bulgogi, but the Bulgogi itself was very bland, it didnt remind of an actual Bulgogi at all. Additionally, the spicy chicken lettuce wraps are not spicy in the least, and come with the chicken in foil and a side of romaine lettuce. Im not too fussed about making my own wraps but romaine isnt the lettuce for it at all. anyways id love to give them another try but my first experience was extremely lack luster.

We have ordered take out from Sonam several times now and it has been excellent every time. Friendly staff and beautiful presentation along with great taste keeps us coming back!

If you are looking for authentic Korean food, I won t recommend this place. The food was below average, the tofu soup we ordered doesn t seem to be probably flavored, no salt. We asked for refill on the side dishes and the waitress only remembered one. She seems more interested in her phone than working.

Korean cuisine that Ive eaten here was completely not Korean style. Meat was too sweet and a soup was not well seasoned at all. A server was kind. Its a restaurant I wouldnt go to twice if I visited it while traveling without knowing it. It is not a place I would recommend to Koreans. The food was good because it wasnt salty, but the stew was so thick that it could be called soup, the stir-fried meat dish was too sweet for foreigners tastes, and the kimchi tasted weird, as if it were sour, so it seemed a bit bad for foreigners because they were afraid they would misunderstand the taste of kimchi. It seems like a place that would be delicious if you starve for a day or two. Im leaving this review because its the only place I have bad memories of during my 5th trip to Kelowna.

For our first experience at this restaurant we were greeted with warm welcomes. Yet came noticeably short as the service was greatly disappointing. Forgotten an ordered item and had to wait exceeded amount of time because of it. And charging us for items that we didnt intend to buy. We ordered the teriyaki samgyeopsal that was supposed to come with japchae. However, we received the wrong meal but didnt know until we saw the bill and were charged for the side instead of it included in the meal. We werent given accommodations and had to pay 15$ more than expected. We didnt have a choice. The server was inexperienced and couldve dealt with this by communicating with us better. We specifically pointed to the items we wanted when ordering and yet they still made numerous mistakes. Very frustrated with this experience and will not come again.

Stopped by for lunch and ordered the (spicy rice cake) and (bulgogi kimbap). The dishes here wont knock your socks off or make you go home and tell your friends. It definitely just feels like youre visiting some Korean moms kitchen, eating Korean soul food with substituted Canadian ingredients. In downtown, there isnt much selection for good authentic Korean food, so if youre on Bernard and looking to visit your Korean friends house. I recommend the Bibimbap if youre new to Korean food!

The dishes we tried were amazing! however the server didnt mention the tea in pot served was charged without saying words!!! they charged $3 twice on our bill(because I asked for refill)
