AMAZING staff! Buuuuut, dry meat in the Roja Enchiladas, yet it was watery. See photos on the main page. The tortillas were soggy too. Makes me so sad because the staff were so kind and sweet. Are they potentially pre-making them, freezing them, then tossing them in the oven?
Small portion sizes and watery enchiladas. Soup wasn't very good either. Food isn't very good however service was fine. Still 1/5 star rating due to food
Food was amazing and hit the spot. Shared a taco platter for two people. Ordered nachos as well. The tacos are authentic. My favorite was the barbacoa and my husband's was the pastor. The nachos are amazing. Covered and layered in toppings. Can't go wrong here. Service was friendly and fast.
I’ve been in location multiple times now! Always greeted with a warm smile and welcome from the servers, as well as some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had! Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area, or want to make the trip for some awesome authentic cuisine!
Drove from Lake Country to check this spot out. Great food, from the starter of guacamole to the enchiladas and tacos my wife and i had. 10/10. Supporting good food and people like this is easy 💯
We did take home, the food was good but the tiny rice and dip was disappointing and dried up. The lettuce was not fresh, rather bagged and not rinsed, smelled and tasted of chemicals . Not the quality of the main restaurant.
I’ve probably eaten hundreds of quesadillas from dozens of restaurants in my lifetime, but the best one I’ve ever had was here at Hector’s this evening. The quality of the ingredients, and perhaps the care taken to put it all together are what sets in apart. The shell is soft and homemade, the cheese is real, and the ingredients are just blended perfectly. I was curious to see what was inside but I gobbled it down too quickly. Lol Hector has created something special and I’m so glad I discovered it.
We have been here to eat in about 4 times, and every time the food and service has been great. It’s traditional Mexican, not “Mexican reinvented” but that’s good. The food quality and ingredients are great! Tonight we ordered take out and the food quality and presentation was still awesome. The barbacoa tacos and the enchiladas verde were spot on, high quality. This is a great restaurant in our area and worth posting a review about!

The place looks very nice, but the waiter on April 23 at around 12:00 who attended us was with 0 friendliness, 0 good vibes and with a bitter face that would tell you not to go since he said, Im Chilean, my friends. They are Mexicans And yet they treated us as if we had been asking for credit And I hope with this, I dont know, he gets some kind of warning Or it is not necessary for me to fire him but honestly I hope Garzón changes his attitude since he is serious about a meal that I wanted to be pleasant together with my colleagues I had a very bad time we almost didnt feel like talking Or every time Garzón approached we had to make an awkward silence And honestly if you go to eat in a sector the minimum that you ask for good service. I loved this place, the very pleasant atmosphere, the super friendly staff and the incredible food. I ate asada tacos and they are the best. I will definitely return soon.

If you are looking for nachos that are loaded with fresh, delicious ingredients look no further. Hands down the best nachos weve ever had, and the margaritas , the combo made our day. Great ingredients, great team, great value, great vibe. Dancing in my seat to the tunes and because the food was too good not to. Will definitely be back.
The ceviche is good
When we were eating our meal the smell of cooking oil filled up the space. It hurt our eyes, gave us headaches, and we left with our clothes smelling like we were working in the kitchen. The space was also very warm. This space needs better ventilation.

Came here for an early dinner within the first few days of opening. Same amazing taste as the main location, but so much closer to home. A few delays, but I feel like that s to be expected when first opening and getting a feel for how many staff are needed, etc. We will definitely be back!
Exactly what this neighbourhood was missing. The staff are super friendly and the Mezcal Marg go down smooth! Can t wait to try everything on the menu.
Loved this place! Authentic Mexican food with everything, including desserts made 100% fresh in house. Drinks were great as well. Literally run completely from just two guys. Highly recommend! Dietary restrictions: Gluten intolerant options

I have been dining here few times. It always taste delicious and authentic. The portions are bigger than I expected. The staff are very friendly. I definitely will come again.

The service leaves a lot to be desired, I dont know where the warmth that characterizes Mexicans ended up, I expected much more and the food lacked any flavor, they didnt offer hot sauces. I hope they improve this for their business to prosper as it has a lot of potential.
I visited for lunch with a friend. We were delighted. The spices and flavors were extremely delicious. I d love to visit again. Id recommend it as a nice place to drink fresh margarita and real Mexican tacos!!!
Rude guy at front. 3 tiny watery tacos to go for $22 bucks. The real Hector would be embarrassed and disgusted by this place. Same as the other one on Pandosy. Horrible used to be so good for so many years until bought by these rude people. Stay away unless you want to be ripped off and treated rudely!
Hectors Cantina exceeded my expectations! The food was outstanding, and the service was top-notch. From the warm greeting to the flavorful dishes, it was a delightful experience. Highly recommended!

Went here with parents and had a delicious appetizer of Ceviche and a main of Tuna Carnitas Tacos .. DELICIOUS. Our server was quick to take our order of drinks and appetizers and came out quickly for our mains. Cute and compact restaurant but with plenty of charm. We even received a complimentary dessert of Vanilla Flan. Highly recommended for sit down or take out. Coming back for sure.
