Best and highest quality ramen. There are lots of spots in Kelowna now but nothing comes close to Wasabis fresh handmade noodles and from-scratch bone broth. Great value too! Prices are reasonable especially for the quality you get. Ive eaten a lot of ramen in Japan too and this is just as good.

Excellent place for Ramen and Izakaya..simple, efficient and great value for money.

Was excited to go for ramen but was very disappointed. My glass for my water was dirty and had residue floating in the water. The service wasnt very good and I was never able to get a new glass for water, even though there were only two other tables seated it was impossible to get a servers attention aside from ordering food and paying the bill. My chicken karage was very chewy and dry and difficult to eat and my ramen noodles were more like spaghetti noodles. The food was unpleasant and I ended up only having a taste of the dishes, paying and leaving.

We had dinner here and it was amazing! Great service and authentic ramen! We will be back for sure.

I recently visited Wasabi Izakaya in Kelowna, and I have to say, the experience was mixed. The cleanliness of the restaurant left a lot to be desired. The hallway leading to the bathroom felt like something out of a horror movie, complete with a door covered in greasy handprints. The floors looked like they were peeling away from the walls, and the mouldings were falling off. Honestly, I wondered if the place had flooded at some point and just never got repaired. It was so dirty that I almost turned around and walked out. However, I m glad I didn t. Once the food arrived, things took a turn for the better. I had the special soup with candied minced pork, Chasu and karage chicken .and those noodles, they were incredible (Michelle better than the regular noodles)! The chicken karaage was also delicious crispy, flavorful, and well-cooked. The food was honestly so good that it might be enough to bring me back despite the atmosphere. If they cleaned the place up a bit, Wasabi Izakaya could be a real gem. But until then, it s definitely a place where the food outshines the surroundings. Servers were also excellent !

Had very high hopes as it s a ramen speciality place. Noodles were ok, broth was salty. For price you only get meat, broth and noodles. No extras like egg. Staff was very kind, service was fast. They were very accommodating for our little girl. Atmosphere was very odd for a ramen joint. Soft jazz, dark paint, no decoration. Bathrooms were very run down. Would not eat here again.

I love the ramen at Wasabi, and my current obsession is the chilli mayo noodles special. The noodles are always fresh and the broth is rich in flavour. Love this place!!!

The noodles were good but the broth was lacking. I was disappointed EGG cost extra. The meat was too lean, it is not like ramen pork belly that is soft and flavourful. Service and atmosphere were great. I love ramen and wish to have another staple restaurant to visit. But overall it was expensive for very mediocre ramen. Edit: edited above my mistake on meat, yes it is included in price. I had tried two soups (tan tan and a chicken). The noodles were good though. I appreciate the kindly quick response with info, and service was indeed good. So I m bumping 3* to 4* because I believe it s a very good dining experience if your taste preference is more in line which surely for many it does.

Ive been going to this place for years and its literally my happy place. If theres one thing that can turn a bad day into a good day its a delicious bowl of ramen from this place. The noodles they use are the best noodles ive had anywhere. My go too order from here is to get the tan tan men with an extra egg, and then get karaage chicken on the side to put into the ramen, then ill split the egg open and dip the chicken in the egg yolk after its soaked in the ramen. Its too die for . If you havnt tried this fantastic little shop yet your doing yourself a disservice.

TLDR: Skip this if youre a ramen aficionado. Wasabi is a great spot for a casual date or drink, but next time Ill just drink here. The service and atmosphere were both wonderful, but the ramen leaves something to be desired. We ordered the Yuzu Pepper Ramen and the Tantanmen. The soup bases tasted very thin and were lacking flavour, the chashu was tasteless, and there were no other basic toppings in either soup. The Tantanmen had only a bit of a pork broth taste but that was overwhelmed by the Szechuan pepper. On the bright side, the microgreens on top were sort of nice, and the noodles were pleasant and chewy.

Ramen was great as usual, cant beat home made noodles and broth karaage was fresh and crispy, the spicy yuzu was delicious.

Seen some other reviews that werent super positive but came here based on a lot of Reddit recommendations and Im so glad we did. They make their own noodles and the food here is REALLY good and very well priced for the size you get. Highly recommended and will definitely be back.

So unbelievably rude and dismissive. Was not even that busy and asking for water felt like a chore. Never going again. Used to be amazing not sure what happened!

Every time, I swear it gets even better. Rich broths, tender hand made noodles, quality ingredients. Well priced, good portions and filling!

Decent food; but was a bit disappointed. The takoyaki had overcooked octopus surrounded by undercooked dough. The chicken karaage unfortunately had little brush fibres (?maybe from them applying sauce) that were not appealing. Ramen was ok but quite oily and lacked the depth of broth I ve had elsewhere. It also came at baselines with no toppings, and though we got meat and egg added, I would have hoped for some other toppings to be included like bamboo etc.

My new favorite comfort food! The Ramen is amazing, umami, delicious! Also the best takoyaki weve found in town! We keep going back for more.

The first true Ramen spot in Kelowna, I have been coming here since Yuki (owner of little tokyo ramen) was making the noodles. Atmosphere is by far the best of all the Ramen spots. Karaage is also high up there. Broths are great and it is really fun to try the seasonal specials. No better spot to come with a group of friends.

Hands down the BEST ramen in the Okanagan!!!! I have tried them all and while all ramen is good, Wasabi Isikaya is high above the fray. Get it in your belly now!! Don t forget to add the karrage chicken, stupid delicious

2022-12-28 Arrived after 7 pm I want to eat or have noodles today. Surprised there were quite a lot of people inside. There is a small note on the door saying - We dont have Sushi. I guess this problem wouldnt exist in Vancouver. The ramen is delicious. If you like ramen, this is a good place to go. Original must try! Tantan Mens is not spicy at all, more sweet. The waiters smile was standard. OK. It s just that Izakaya is only open until 8 o clock. It seems that Kelowna may not have much nightlife at night.

Ive been a passionate fan of Ramen for a decade now. This is absolutely one of the top tier bowls I have had in that time. The Tan Tan Men was so full of flavour, well balanced and the noodles were sublime. We had a couple of the appetizers as well, and they were all very well prepared. Absolutely a must for a really excellent bowl of Ramen. And the vegan ramen was the best my partner has had to date. Stellar.

The chicken karaage is absolutely amazing! Service here is always wonderful. Portions are generous and very reasonably priced. My favourite is the yuzu ramen with chicken. It s really not very spicy, but the flavours are wonderful. Oh, and when you order takeout the noodles come packed separately so they don t get soggy. Great touch! In my opinion, the best restaurant in Kelowna. I love for their death by karaage and the spicy Yuzu pepper ramen is to die for. We come from Summerland just to get this ramen as often as possible. You have to try this restaurant.

Worst experience ever. Ordered a veggie Ramen to-go. The soup is full of burnt residue. Went back to the place and was told the burned residue is garlic oil. They refused to refund. I came back and googled garlic oil and found none of the garlic oil sold on the market full of black burnt residues. Honestly who can eat a bowl of noodle soup full of dark burnt residue. Did not get my money back and did not take the burnt residue soup either. Will never go back to this place again. I know what mayu is and how it looks. But your mayu is definitely overcooked and burnt. You should never serve burnt garlic oil to customers.

Not sure why the shop has 4.7 rating I ordered curry ramen as well as karaage ramen, both were bad, only the fried chicken tasted fine the noodle is definitely poor, the curry flavour ramen was too thick and gooey, the karaage flavour ramen was watery and did not have much flavour. More than the broth it was the ramen which I m not sure was cooked well. It would have been nice if the ramen had some vegetables or some extra add ons.

The noodle and meat are great, but the ramen soup is not the best. Anyway their ramen is good enough to fill your hungry stomach.

It was very good for a reasonable price. (I will have to go again to give you more info) *In short, it is a great place to grab a cheap meal, and it has some appealing ramen options, still probably my favourite ramen place in Canada (that I have been to). I would recommend you try them all. *I have finally made it back. The Building looks like it was an old garage and despite the solid door, if google says its open, It is probably open. The menu has changed somewhat, so you dont really pick a style and a soup base. Still, they do have miso and chicken base, as well as the standard pork. So it is a good option even if you have a vegetarian in your party. I have tried a couple options and they were all nice and flavourful. Those accompanying me chose different options and were also quite pleased. The one downside is the servings are a bit smaller than I would normally eat (for the stock and noodles). But it is probably more than sufficient for the average person. They have a decent amount of toppings, some more than others but aside from the fried chicken option (which is substantial), they are similar. Unfortunately it is more expensive than it was (Formerly ~$10) but compared to most ramen places these days it is a much more reasonable price, so it is worthwhile to keep coming back. The staff were very friendly, and the atmospherics were ok. I wouldnt call it fancy or intricate but with the soft/warm lighting, it was quite pleasant. Vegetarian options: They have Miso based soups, they may still mix and match toppings with bases on request.

Dont understand the reason for overrated stars. Their chicken karrage ramen was tasteless and the veggie ramen was equally as tasteless. Theres no body or richness to the soup. My husband said that instant noodles taste better. It was quite disappointing.

Today, I ordered the original Ramen with pork. It wasnt good because it tasted bland. Like they put too much flavor into the broth to the point where all the flavors cancel each other out. The Kaarage, however was really good! The flavors were masterful and I highly recommend it for a first time pick if you like chicken ;)

Delicious, very delicious. I ate the spicy tofu before I remembered to take a picture of it. I could go ahead and say that it s the best spicy tofu I ve ever had. Oh and the curry Ramen that is pictured was good. The noodles were great, I wish the pork was a bit better. Overall, you should go here and try it.

Didnt take a photo this time; we just ate. Discovered this gem when we first visited Kelowna. Went there another time and the food is just as good! The staff are friendly and service is quick. Place gets busy around 11:30ish. Their death by chicken karaage is packed with lots of flavours; juicy and has a kick to it. Their ramen noodles are cooked perfectly; not too mushy or firm. The pork is soft - just melts in your mouth when you eat it. And the best part is the broth! They also have take home kits which you can order a day before.

Searched for Ramen restaurants in Kelowna this came as the highest ranked, and no wonder! The broth is thick and delicious, the meat savory and tender, the onions add a little crispy texture and the ramen was excellent. We had Gyoza as well, crispy outside and soft inside, yummy!

Ive been twice, and fully loved it both times, first time I accidentally brought a stuffed toy with me, but it sat in an extra chair while I had cold ramen (it was on purpose!! Summer dish, it was FANTASTIC) and second time I had a hot ramen which was, again! So good! Cant wait to go again I loved it so much

Love this spot, we found it on our walk through downtown Kelowna. 6 of us had dinner, we all different ramen bowls and shared a bunch of chicken and everyone was super delighted. We are happy to recommend them as we were surprised how fresh the noodles were, how epic the broth was, and how amazing the service was.

I frequent Wasabi once a week for lunch, and they are excellent at all aspects of their business. They have the best customer service, period. They are very aware of their guests, always so friendly and genuine, and quick with whatever they do. As a regular, they remember me and my order, so I feel very at home here. The food is very consistent and high quality, from week to week there is never a sub-par meal or even one that varies much from the week before. Portion size to price is spot on, and ingredients are fresh. Im always surprised how a bowl of their soup can fill me up and carry me through the rest of the day without making me feel heavy. Lastly, the ambience pairs well with everything above. There is usually jazz playing, and no obnoxious / distracting TVs plastering the walls. I like that on warm summer days, they will open the front bay doors so you can belly up to the bar there and sort of sit outside.

Got lost finding this place. Its in a very non-descript street and location - almost looks like a garage. Its not a very big restaurant and it was 3/4 full when we arrived. We were greeted immediately and sat at a table at the end of the restaurant. We ordered Chicken Karaage and Gyoza to start. The karaage was excellent. My wife who doesnt usually like fried stuff thoroughly enjoyed it. They also have a spicy version which I think I will try next time. The Gyoza was a bit meh. For ramen we ordered 2 Originals and 1 Tan Tan Men. The Tan Tan Men was excellent - broth was flavourful and enough spiciness that you get a kick but without overpowering everything overall. The Original wasnt that good - broth wasnt as flavourful. The noodles also were the straight thin kind which is not our favourite. We also had 1 order of extra noodle on the side which was quite a good portion. Service was good and washrooms were clean. For one of the top Ramen places in Kelowna we were underwhelmed.

Simply outstanding! I lost count of how many bowls of ramen Ive eaten many years ago, but the spicy Yuzu ramen here is one that I will remember for a very long time. The broth was packed with incredible flavour, the noodles were perfectly cooked and the generous serving of juicy pork loin was perfection. I wish I had another day in town just to go back and have it again!

Tried the spicy yuzu ramen. Wasn t that spicy, but the yuzu flavour was present. Ramen noodles are standard. Chicken wasn t very flavourful. Portion size is small compared to other locations I have tried ramen. Overall, if you re craving ramen it ll suffice but definitely have had better

Just the best. Ive been going here for about three years, and the quality is still the best in Kelowna. Waiting staff was great, I cant recommend enough. Waiter smiled the whole time, really made my night. Order anything its all good.

Its a pretty hip place and one of the only restaurants in town where you can get ramen. They have both vegetarian and vegan broth options. The service is friendly but spotty. Update: They lose one star for being closed on an extremely cold Winter day and not updating Google/FB hours.

I always stop into Wasabi when Im in Kelowna; it is hands down the best place in town for ramen and their karaage is some of the best Ive had period.

I love this place. The aesthetics are amazing and I love the seats that overlook the street. I love the miso ramen and the karage is amazing. I was not the biggest fan of the tantanmen Ramen but it was pretty decent.

This was the 2nd time we ate here . The first time was when they first opened and the ramen was pretty authentic. This time the chashu was literally grilled pieces of ham. The tonkatsu broth tasted like miso and soy and the extra egg was hard boiled . Giving 3 stars in that flavour was still ok but definitely not what I expected.

Wasabi has the best ramen that I ve had in Kelowna thus far! The food is very flavourful, and I usually order the spicy yuzu pepper with chicken, and sometimes I ll throw in a chicken karage (which is very delicious). The staff is also very friendly and the restaurant itself as a calm ambience (before the rush of course, then it becomes very vibrant)! Delivery is available on certain apps, but when I can I enjoy dining-in.

Great service and atmosphere. I was seated at my reservation time and the food was very flavorful and delicious. Fresh ingredients, time and care goes into everything and you can taste it. I like to get the death by chicken starter and save some for a topper on my ramen.

A couple of years ago this place was fairly average at best. Now, thanks in part to focusing on ramen, its one of the best places in town. While ramen is their signature the karaage options in particular are fantastic as well. The menu as a whole is pretty good, the service is solid, and they have a generally very comfortable facility. Recommend going either right when they open or later in the night, the dinnertime rush can be rough. I also recommend adding an egg to your ramen for the full experience. Update: After experiencing pitiful service at neighboring restaurants Ive retracted the remarks about the service not being to notch. Despite them being busy on this recent visit they went above and beyond. Whoever was the main server on June 22, 2021 deserves all the praise and more.

Good fast service, servers were very pleasant and the ramen was delicious. Will definitely return on a cooler day as I wouldnt recommend a bowl of hot soup while its 40+ degrees celcius.

Pretty disappointed after reading such good reviews I expected good ramen or even halfway decent if salty ramen. I have literally had better ramen out of packages and its not even CLOSE to other restaurants in town like O Zeki, I cant believe this is so highly rated, the ramen broth was so bland it tasted like dish water with some vegetables in it. Will not be ordering again. Put some salt in your broth/fix your stock recipe.

Objectively speaking as someone who is Asian and has had my fair share of ramen in California, Toronto and Japan, I m very sad to say that this ramen was arguably the worst ramen I ve ever had in terms of authenticity and flavour. I had the Spicy Yuzu bowl. The chashu or pork is just a piece of light pink pork slice that lacks the color (the usual brown charred appearance), texture, and flavour of what is usually in ramen. The noodles are almost instant noodle-esque, the onion and green onion as the sole toppings are a huge disappointment compared to what s usually in ramen and made the dish seem like pho instead of ramen. Lastly the soup was spicy but bland at the same time. I believe most ramen come with the same noodles, pork (if you pick that option) and toppings since my family got the tonkatsu and original. I can t speak for the soup of theirs but if you re looking for an authentic bowl of ramen, this isn t the place for you. Oh and the karaage was not crispy at all, seems to be lying around waiting to be heated up instead of made fresh. And when we were waiting to pick up the order, the restaurant didn t seem to have adequate AC so it was quite warm. Disappointing all around.

The service was superb and food was amazing! Definitely a new favourite of mine and would recommend this place to family & friends.

I love this place. You cant go wrong. The Tan Tan Men is wonderful, but honestly you can just order anything and youll be happy!

The best Ramen around!!! I always get the Karaage dish, its the best! Only downside, close on weekends which makes it hard to come by, wish they were open on Saturdays at least.

Ramen was OK - tasted hot and liked the miso flavour. However, kind of misleading when the miso ramen states it is topped with fresh veggies (meaning green and red onions). And the noodles tasted like I was eating spaghetti, not your classic ramen noodles. Don t know if I would recommend.

The best ramen in the Okanagan in my opinion, and I ve had lots of ramen! Very friendly staff, the food is quick and absolutely delicious. It s also great bang for your buck, you get lots of food for what you pay for. The Tan Tan Men is the best and the Karaage chicken is to die for.

Awesome staff first and foremost. We had two small children they had no issues with. I tried to clean the floor up after them and had to almost rip the cleaning supplies from their hands. Mind you this is short staffed and they had many other things to do. Next the spicey chicken was to die for. I like spice, it wasnt overwhelming. Just really well done and flavourful. Noodles were a hit as well. Our 11 month old ate 4 baby bowls. Oh yea, provided kids cutlery and bows and cups. Very welcoming. 100% will return

Unbelievable ramen. Quite possibly the best ramen I ve had in my life. The broth was incredible. The pork belly was so juicy and tender. The noodles were perfection. Anytime I m back in the hood I ll be at this joint.

Delicious Ramen and service. We ordered the Yuzu pepper and one of the special Ramen and the takoyaki. The Ramen was perfectly cooked el dent. The broth was warm, and well flavoured with subtle hints of pepper. The takoyaki was so crispy outside and soft inside . Highly recommended.

Recently visited Kelowna and someone recommended that I try Wasabi Ramen and Izakaya. AMAZING! The Ramen was delicious and the service was great! Looking forward to visiting again!

Me and my boyfriend went to wasabi Ramen restaurant today for the first time and we will most definitely be back. Best ramen in Kelowna BY FAR not to mention the service was outstanding. They have veggie and vegan options, and options with proteins. If you have yet to go to this amazing restaurant I would 100% recommend.

The best Japanese Ramen in town. Owner puts in a lot of work to constantly improve the menu. Servers are also incredibly nice and the environment is very welcoming.
