We had our staff Christmas party at Basil & Mint, and it was awesome! The staff were super friendly and attentive, the food was delicious and looked great, and even though we were a big group and the restaurant had other guests, it still felt cozy and private. I highly recommend Basil & Mint!

It was our first time at this restaurant and the experience was great. It began with the warm and friendly smile that we recieved from our hostess, Jordyn. She brought us to our table and moments later, our server Steven told us about the menu. He was very friendly and outgoing. The atmosphere there is awesome. The lighting the colours, the furniture, it was all great. We felt right at home. Our meals were brought out by Steven and Diego. Diego was extermely polite and soft spoken. The meals were exquisite. I had the pork tenderloin and it was the finest that I have ever had and my wife had chicken parmigana which was also very good. I strongly suggest going here for dinner. I would be surprized if you didnt have a wonderful time.

We went for dinner recently and parking was hard to find. It was next door in a parkade with a sign to the stairwell. Went up two floors only to realize door was locked. Had to exit near parkade and walk around. Entered the restaurant and told front desk that signage needs to be fixed but he did not seem concerned at all. Food was ok but over priced for the quality and quantity. We had 3 beers with dinner and they charged $20.75 liquor tax! All in all, wont likely eat here again. Parking: Signage for parking needs to be updated. Do not direct people into the stairwell!

We had a super evening last night for my mother s 99th birthday. There was 12 of us with two children aged 2. Everything was perfect for a complicated event. Thanks again.

Ive been to Basil & Mint twice. The food and drinks are so tasty. James was a great server and so attentive. Not only was he serving, but bartending too. I didnt give it a 5 stars because sitting by the bar I couldnt help but over hear his manager hounding him, which doesnt create a good atmosphere, let alone work environment. James deserved nothing but praise that night, as he was running around on a busy Saturday night. Please treat your coworkers with respect. They work hard and deserve it.

We have been several times and have enjoyed the food and atmosphere every time. The flavour of the food is amazing and the team that runs the place has a sense of sincerity that makes each visit unique and memorable. Thank you to everyone at Basil and Mint for such delicious food and such a comfortable, yet classy atmosphere. Parking: Havent had an issue finding a parking spot in the garage Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of space for a wheelchair to move between table.

Saturday night restaurant was pretty empty. Food was meh, spend your money somewhere else more worthwhile.

I had this place on my Kelowna Bucket List for a while, but it sadly let me down... My sister booked a surprise reservation while she was visiting for the two of us and we had many issues. The first, I unrolled my cutlery and it was clearly dirty with stuck on food. I asked for a new set, no issues. Second, my sister then ordered the special, which they came back saying they ran out of the feature fish, but could replace it with cod. She said that was fine, it happens. Third, the cod came RAW. I was able to get the waiter to bring it back to the kitchen, where he told my sister Im sorry the fish wasnt cooked to your liking, the Chef will fix it. While I do understand that some fish can be eaten raw, or slightly undercooked, cod is NOT one of them. Its either cooked or raw. When it came back, it was still undercooked in the middle. My sister was just going to ignore it and pushed it to the side of her plate. A manager(I think) noticed and came to check. He offered to send the food back again, but we both didnt want to bother. It had already been the course of an hour and my sister had barely eaten. Fourth, after they informed us they would remove the dish from our bill because it was in fact, raw, they offered my sister a free appetizer. She ordered gnocchi (which was fine) and a glass of wine for herself (that she paid for.) The wine came the same time as the gnocchi, and the glass was DIRTY. My sister really didnt want to make an issue out of it, but I insisted we mention it. The manager came again to apologize, stating they had hired a lot of new support staff, so it must be them causing issues. It felt like a minor copout given the amount of issues we had already had. For the most part, the service was good, although slow. They staff did try their best to correct the service, but did feel slightly manipulative at times (the fish comments, blaming others, etc) The food I had was good, but nothing extraordinary. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. I did want to love it, and Im sure this was a fluke, given the tons of other good reviews. However, I did want to write a REAL review showcasing our experience. Maybe Ill come back one day, but for now, Im disappointed.

Manager Chris and waiter Steven facilitated an amazing dining experience for our family this evening. Outstanding tenderloin, lamb shank, lingcod, mushroom risotto, short rib. One of our favorite places in Kelowna.

Our waiter Steven was rude, unhelpful, forgetful and just annoying. We wont be back. The service was horrible. It took 1.5 hours to get our food and had to put up with the waiter. The restaurant was only 1/2 full. If we had a different waiter the experience would have been better Im sure.

I ve been meaning to go here for a long time. I don t know what I was waiting for. Everything was impeccable. We chose the three course meal with wine pairings. The servers knew exactly where to place each plate. We were never questioned as to who had ordered what. No one ever had to wait, everyone got to start enjoying their food at the same time. That speaks to the level of service and teamwork that goes on here. The food was fantastic and I m going to be dreaming of the Tiramisu for a long time. Well done, will be recommending this place 10/10

Had a wonderful meal while we were on holidays. Shared a pasta and 2 salads. We were too full for dessert so we came back the next night and shared some lovely desserts. Steven took care of us and we couldn t have been more pleased! We will definitely race back the next time we re in town!!

Great restaurant! Definitely on a top list for Kelowna restaurants. The servers and management were so kind, offered great wine pairings for any dish, and overall went above and beyond to ensure that we truly enjoyed our meal.

I cannot say enough about Basil and Mint. The food is incredible not one bad plate and the staff is top notch. If you are in Kelowna I highly suggest you go check it out. Our server Steven was the sweetest and great at his job and the Chef is so good at what he does! The manager is also so friendly and top notch.

We had dinner at Basil & Mint this evening and were very pleased The hostess at the front door was quite pleasant and our server Stevie was amazing!! Great food and great service. It was our anniversary so we were offered either a complimentary glass of champagne or a dessert. What a nice touch and a lovely surprise. Came here with my wife for our wedding anniversary and couldnt have had a better dining experience. We were greeted with complimentary champagne and felt very welcomed and appreciated. Our server Steven is hands down one of the best servers in the Okanagan. He was very professional, courteous, respectful, and a genuine person. The manager was equally as kind. This restaurant has high quality food with reasonable prices, very creative drinks, and a really great atmosphere. We will definitely come back!

Absolutely marvelous food and a great location. Off the beaten track you will find it quiet and cozy, compared to downtown and other more popular areas. Worth it for the food and selection of local wines.

July 2024. It looks like I have to edit original review to add another review of Basil & Mint Restaurant. I hadnt posted other reviews as I didnt know how to put in more. I just found out that this is the way to write another review. Or am I wrong? Here it is: You must try the chefs new creation for dessert. It was amazing, different and delightful. Fresh homemade vanilla ice cream dripped with Spruce-tip syrup and finished with Sugar Cap Mushroom Dust. Always a great place to drop in for drinks and a meal. I would have posted a picture but I ate it too fast!! I would travel miles & miles to have Basil & Mint s Jalapeño Margarita . Best cocktail I ve ever had. Delicious. Smooth. Absolutely the perfect blend of jalapeño-infused tequila, freshly squeezed lime juice & orange liqueur all in this yummy limy spicy salted rimmed glass with a wedge of fresh lime. I cannot wait to go back to have another one! I encourage you to try it. There is no other Margarita like this one. Carilyn

A beautiful experience from start to finish. The exceptional food left us craving to come back again. As of an out of town guest, I was very impressed and would definitely recommend anyone coming to or living in Kelowna to dine here. For the price, the food was amazing and the portion sizes were very generous but also not overwhelming. There is an option for every budget and I found the 3 course meal for $45 to be such a great deal. For the portion and freshness of the food, it can t be beat! Will definitely be thinking about the food and experience for a long time as it was a huge highlight of my time spent in Kelowna.

We attended a small wedding reception in the bar area and were treated very well. The food and drinks were top notch and the service was excellent.

The food was really good mostly. Braised short rib was really flavourful. For our group, dinner took way too long. We waited over 1.5 hours for food when the restaurant was half empty. Veggies provided at first were enough maybe for two people (we were a group of 7) which they fixed right away after we said something. Tiramisu was frozen when we got it. Drinks were good. It s a little weird when certain tables had special menus when others are only offered a smaller menu. We had asked about a dish that was delivered and were told that they had a different menu. Just odd imo. Server was nice but experience was average.

Had a wonderful evening here. The food and service were fantastic! We had the duck pate and escargot starters and prawn entree. Everything was masterfully made. Our server Steven was warm and helpful. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed dinner at Basil and Mint a few nights ago. The restaurant has a lovely outdoor setting and is a well decorated and laid out dinner area inside. Comfy seats and great ambience. The wine list was great, lots of BC wines and the menu is very Gluten Friendly We had the beet salad and the soup which was a carrot ginger, both very good. Soup was exceptional actually! The sourdough garlic bread was really good. Mains were the prawns and lamb rack special. Again exceptional flavours and presentation. One lamb was under cooked to specification but our server was back checking on things promptly so back to the kitchen for some more cooking right away. Wonderful Tiramisu and Creme Brûlée to top it all off! Daisy was our server. She was excellent, friendly, attentive and efficient. We had a 5 experience. We would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone and come back when traveling here again.

We dined here two nights in a row the second one for our daughters wedding party.. Chris and his staff were bang on looking after the entire party and his mixologist work beyond anything Ive ever witnessed sitting at the bar looking after our party and the entire rest of the restaurant.. the ambiance is excellent the staff Beyond courteous and helpful.. highly recommend

I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner at Basil and Mint. We shared 4 appetizers and a pizza and each dish was better than the last. Warm and tasteful atmosphere. Highly recommended in a city with lots of similar offerings.

We came to Basil & Mint to celebrate my grandparents 70th anniversary. The service from Steven our waiter and the manager (didn t get his name) was amazing. They were so kind and took a personal interest in us that really made the experience wonder for them. They kindly offered a free dessert and champagne for both my grandparents and even came to our table and sang a song for us. The food was delicious, everything was cooked perfectly and portions were a good size for a high end restaurant. I had the $45 three course option which was lovely. I highly recommend the pear and parsnip soup, chicken or pork main and the apple sorbet for dessert. The sorbet is a generous size and a refreshing way to end your meal. If not getting the 3 course meal, the duck with cherry sauce is delicious. Our drinks were all great and we enjoyed the spearhead pinot gris with supper. I would absolutely come back here for any special events and will recommend Basil & Mint to all our friends.

Our server, Steven, was an absolute delight and added to the enjoyment of our dinner with good humour and the perfect wine suggestion. From start to finish, a wonderful experience.

We went to Basil and Mint for my birthday celebration and everything was fabulous. We like fine dining and would say that this was far better than Homeblock at Cedar Creek (our experience here was horrible), Bouchons, Mount Boucharie, and Mission Hill. Our server, Steven, was attentive, funny and very helpful. The manager, Chris was personable and even brought us a complementary glass of bubbly and sang Happy Birthday.We all enjoyed our food choices and my girlfriend, who has food restrictions, said her truffle fries and mushroom risotto were outstanding. We cant wait for the patio to open to enjoy some el fresco cuisine. We have definitely found our new, go to restaurant for fine dining.Thank you Steven and Chris for a wonderful and memorable evening.

Was a nice restaurant! Really enjoyed the food, however, our order was wrong, they did sort immediately, and we were waiting for a wine a while, we would go back though, the food was really nice, they just seemed a little busy.

From beginning to end, Chris made our experience at Basil & Mint stand out. I chose this restaurant for a group of 5 becuase of its fair entre prices (not to high), and noted in my online reservation requuest that it was a bit of a birthday surprise. Our server Chris organized a suprise dessert and sang Happy Birthday and a super fun birthday song. The excellent service and pace of the meal allowed us to have a thorough visit, delicious food and a memorable experience. Would recommend.

I apologize for my previous review. My reception on my phone cut out and I must have hit the finish. Didnt even get to complete the star rating. Anyway just wanted to say that Hubs and I went last night with friends to this restaurant for a wonderful dinning experience. Hubs had the tuna, I had the braised short rib. We were not disappointed! Cooked perfectly, and hot.( Im a bit of a stickler on a nice hot meal.) Also had the creme brûle and hubs had the lemoncillo, raspberry, cheesecake. Outstanding! Our waiter was so attentive. We never lacked for anything. I would highly recomend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys good atmosphere, excelent service, and wonderfully prepared food with very nice presentation. The only downfall was not great for parking. But that seems to be part of the norm for Kelowna. Give it a try! You wont be disappointed!

I took my team here 8 of us- service was amazing - waiter very awesome aware of every need without being intrusive. Price was great - food was amazing when you eat out a lot travelling you dread restaurants- but Basil and Mint made me excited to be there food was a 15/10 waiter was incredible definitely recommend- thank you ! It s the third time I have been to this restaurant. And every-time it s absolutely delicious. Not the biggest menu in town but what they do is perfect. The service was 5 star. Have to make it my regular stop. No questions it s one of the top restaurants in Kelowna. Gordie A

My wife and I are delighted to share that our experience was amazing. The flavours of our food were exceptional. Each dish we ordered showcased the culinary skills of their outstanding chef. Our server Daisy provided impeccable service. She demonstrated her attentiveness with a genuine passion for her customers, ensuring our dining experience was memorable. Her recommendations added to the overall enjoyment of the evening. Highly recommended for both the delectable cuisine and top-notch service!

We had a great experience, our server James was fantastic. The food and atmosphere were wonderful.

Basil and Mint had been one our favourite Kelowna restaurants. One of us ordered off the regular menu, one the Dine Around menu. The server was very good, however the food didnt live up to the service. The lettuce in our salads was not great quality and the salad was not very flavourful. For the main course, one plate was beef, one was chicken and if you took off the protein the plates looked identical which is odd for such different proteins. The chicken was about the smallest 1/4 chicken we have ever seen, maybe it was Cornish hen :( The beef short ribs were just okay, kind of dry and again a smallish portion. On the positive side the Dine Around desert was good. I understand that food costs have gone up but if you are going to increase your menu prices, dont cut your portion sizes so dramatically. I am giving Basil and Mint 4 stars due to the service and our past experiences but if it was just the food quality the rating would be a 3.5 at best. Hopefully it was just a bad night.

The evening was a success, the food was great, the atmosphere was much nicer than many places in Canada. But what struck me most was the service. For the first time, we have already seen aerobatics, for the first time I see a waiter get down on his knee to take an order. And a special evening was organized for us by a true professional, and simply an amazing person, Chris, I thank him immensely for a wonderful evening, if it were possible, I would give all 10 stars instead of 5.

Second time went to celebrate my birthday the food was amazing and the chef made me duck which was not on the menu but I had mentioned to the server how much I enjoyed the lasting I was there. It was amazing !!

Four of us recently tried Basil and Mint for the first time, and we were all blown away. The chef outdid himself! We had freshly made sourdough, escargots, gnocchi, sablefish, braised short ribs, lamb, cheesecake, tiramisu, and other items. Everything was perfection. But what made our night was our server, Taylor, he made perfect conversation, and was so attentive and professional. We will be back because of him. Well done, Basil and Mint and thank you Taylor.

I was actually underwhelmed with my food at Basil & Mint and had gotten what was recommended to me by a friend. The gnocchi & the beet salad. My family really enjoyed the risotto though, and said the pear salad & chocolate mousse were good. Our server seemed on the newer side and once she got more comfortable with our table, played a funny prank with us on one of our guests! It was memorable and fun; she made the night. I may come back and try again. Also note the parking can be a bit of a hassle as well, which makes this area not as desirable to visit.

Amazing food with top notch service This was one of our best dining experiences in a long time. You cant go wrong with anything on the menu, including the handcrafted cocktails! Parking: The entrance is at the back of the restaurant. Pull up to the garage door and it activates the sensor to open. Plenty of spots designated for Basil & Mint

An unfortunate glitch in the ordering software led to an extremely long wait for the food. Staff handled it very well, and were incredibly professional. The food was incredible, and the deserts were even better.

We dined at Basil & Mint twice during our week in Kelowna--it was that good! We ate there our first night and decided to enjoy it again on our last night. The food was great and the four of us tried many dishes. Our server, Taylor, was a delight and added to our experience with his enthusiasm and great service. Daisy was also excellent during our first visit. I found the panko-crusted salmon to be particularly excellent with the delicious basil-mint vinaigrette. Great wine list and suggestions to pair with our food were right on target.

Food was amazing. Staff were outstanding helping us with our 2 young ones! Truffle pizza was really good as well as the Caesar salad.

My fiance and I went here after she heard about the place from a customer at her work. We went and we were not disappointed. Their mocktails are absolutely amazing and we had one three course meal and a steak, both of which we shared and really enjoyed. The ambiance was very nice and the wait staff was perfect. Recommend!

Stevie served our family of 5 tonight on the patio. We had the $45 3 course meals and a pitcher of sangria along with three kids meals. I was impressed by the relaxed ambiance of the patio, the impeccable friendly service by Stevie and the delicious and artistically plated meals. Very disappointed. Went with my girlfriend for her 21st birthday. Absolutely awful food, had the duck and it was hard as a rock in some parts and very squishy in others. My girlfriend had the bacon and potato soup which tasted very average, and had the texture of apple sauce. Definitely not worth the hefty price tag. Server was great though, very accommodating. Overall, do not recommend. Never going back.

The food was perfect. The atmosphere was lovely, chill, and super inviting. The staff who waited in us, Stevie, made the experience even better. He was so bubbly and cheerful and made us feel so welcome. He had a knack for knowing when to stop at our table and when to just keep walking while we were deep in conversation which is something I thoroughly appreciated!

My wife and I decided to treat ourselves to a dessert, and we couldnt have asked for a better experience! The presentation was beautiful, and the taste surpassed our expectations. We had the pleasure of being served by Stevie during our visit, and his service was exceptional from start to finish. His personality was the perfect blend of sweet and spice and everything nice! He was excited to recommend the secret limoncello cheesecake, and we are so happy he did! The cheesecake was delightfully tangy and creamy, while the crème brûlée had the perfect balance of a caramelized sugar crust and a smooth, velvety custard. The friendly service was the highlight of our evening and we look forward to returning!

Very underrated restaurant. Steven our server was outstanding. Food was delicious. We enjoyed a delicious pitcher of sangria. My carb addicted partner said it was the best sourdough (with escargot!) and pizza crust shed ever had. Chill relaxing atmosphere. Prices super reasonable. Great meal. Caesar salad, truffle pizza and dessert were amazing. Stephan our waiter was charming, attentive and funny. Hands down one of the best meals I ve had in Kelowna. Restaurant was clean, perfect temperature and not blaring music so loud you can t talk to someone at the table.

Unbelievable! If you are looking for a high end event this is the place to book. Stephen, who attended to us was pleasant and fun and even took a few pictures for us. The Caesar salad is the best I have ever tasted and it was carefully plated. Whatever the brown sauce was that they drizzled on top of the Caesar salad dressing was so delicious and made it top notch. Kudos to the chef. The four of us had the 3-course meal and we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience! We will be back.

The atmosphere is nice. The server was decent but not engaging. We had a reservation for 5:45, the restaurant opens at 5:00. After being seated and ordering our appetizer we were informed they were out of the appetizer we ordered. They were also out of the beer we ordered. Ended up ordering spaghetti and meatballs. The pasta was cooked perfectly however the meatballs were dense and overworked as well as barely room temperature when served. The pasta sauce was a bit on the sweeter side. The short ribs were delicious. Overall, not a bad experience but not worth $100 CAD, for two entrees, one glass of sparkling wine and a bottle of sparkling water.

Basil and Mint is a delicious restaurant with lots of potential. The restaurant is cute and romantic, and the patio is gorgeous. The food was excellent but a little oily, and our service was decent. I had the house-made Gnocchi to start which was served in a delicious tomato sauce. My entree was the chicken breast and fusilli pasta dish which was really tasty. Great portions for the price. Good place to go for a date night.

So happy to have found this place! As a traveller with a companion who is celiac, it can be a challenge to find a good place to eat. Almost all dishes were gluten free and the cross contamination considerations from the restaurant staff was amazing. The food was outstanding. And the drinks were delicious! Try the house vodka ceaser.

I booked the private room at this fantastic venue this evening for a gal pal birthday party. Everything was fantastic from start to finish - Stevie our server was absolutely amazing. The food looked wonderful and tasted even better, we had a choice of three entrees from a set menu which were all delicious everyone enjoyed what they ordered. To top it off the manager, Chris came out when we were leaving to introduce himself and to make sure we all had a good time. I would say 10 Stars if Google would allow it, hats off to everyone there - we will definitely be back and spread the word!

We were disappointed with Basil and Mint, especially since its so highly rated. The service was terrible - unbelievably slow and absent. We needed to prompt them to order, for water, for more wine, for everything. The food was very salty and uninspired. The ambiance was dark but not cozy. We would not likely go back.

Six of us came from out of town and had dinner with some very good friends. Chris put us in the private room, it gave us the freedom to move around and visit. Came here for my birthday. We were greeted and seated right away. The atmosphere is very clean and beautiful. We ordered gnocchi the chef mentioned he makes by hand you can tell there is a lot of effort and care in to the food thats made. Everything was plated very well and I felt like I was at a super expensive restaurant. The food prices were very reasonable and not expensive at all. We had a lovely time, this is our go to place from now on! I highly recommend trying this hidden gem out!

Always enjoy the selection of Wine and well presented food. The braised beef is extremely tender, but you can t go wrong with anything on the menu. The ambiance allows for great conversation and service is attentive and professional.

Delicious food, great menu including three-course dinners as well as à la carte. The boneless short ribs are second to none. The service was terrific.

Wife and I stopped by and were blown by the menu. We tried about 6 different menu items and there wasnt one we wanted to trade out. Its going to be heard to upstage that meal and try different items moving forward. For those interested: Caesar Salad, Gnocchi, Risotto, Duck, Limoncello Cheesecake, and Tiramisu.

We were treated to a very special dinner with a friend of ours at Basil & Mint last Friday. First and foremost our server was amazing. Im so sorry that I didnt get her name, my bad! Every suggestion she made was spot on and made the experience so much better. The food was cooked to perfection and the atmosphere was really great. Thanks so much for the great experience. Will definitely repeat next time were in Kelowna!

Wow !!! What a fantastic place this is. I dont see how one can give it anything less than 5 stars. First....the restaurant is nice and modern. One where you can dress up if youd like or be in more casual attire. Friendly and welcoming staff right as you come in confirms very good first impression. On to the food. We had beef carpaccio and gnocchi for appetizers. Excellent. Both of them. Carpaccio was one of the best I ever tried. Gnocchi...well I really hope they keep this one on the menus and never change the recipe. Id go back to this restaurant just for gnocchi...or so I thought untilmthe main dishes came out. We ordered sable fish and pork. Both made to perfection. Nice, simple, and so very tasteful. I savored every bite of my pork and truly enjoyed the dish. Desert ? Creme brule was really really good. But I have to say that the tiramisu was the best Ive eaten in BC so far. I decided to name it a dangerous tiramisu because its impossible not to eat the whole.teay of this desert if you had it infront of you. Got to try a cocktail thats actually not on their menus, bit lets keep this is a secret and trust me that it was just as fantastic as the food. And house.made.limoncello is a must try if you like this type of drink. And thats.not all. Our servers were great too. Thank you Marina for a super friendly, hepful and a very fun dining experience. You have rounded the whole experience together and made it complete. Well definitely be back next time were in Kelowna and I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes both, great food and great dining experience combined. Went for dinner on a Friday night, It is interesting, food is good, service is nice. The issue is lack of ambiance, very dated surroundings and elevator music. The longed I sat the more bored I got maybe not their fault as the room was empty. The food menu is a little dated and odd choice of spices. It is nice enough but could be so much more with a few tweaks.

Celebrated my birthday here last night and it was such a lovely experience! Our server Erica was really friendly did took great care of us! The food was so delicious and our drinks were made to perfection! Also the manager, Taylor, personally came over to wish me a happy birthday and made sure everything was to our liking. Such a great place, can t recommend it enough!

Went to this restaurant today. We waited more than an hour until the appetisers arrived. We had to then wait another half an hour for the main course. We only ate for 30 minutes in total, 1 and a half hours of waiting for food. Stayed at the restaurant for 2 hours until we left because half an hour after the main course the desserts still haven t arrived even though there was nobody left at the restaurant. Wouldn t recommend.

Brought my mom here for mothers day. We had the three course set menu and it was amazing. Best Creme Brule Ive had in years. Bit pricey but worth every penny.

Food was a bit pricey - there were elements of each dish that were excellent, but overall the food was average. We really liked our drinks though; the Jalapeño Margarita was so unique and delicious! Our server, Marina, was also very friendly and accommodating.

Would recommend! The beet salad and gnocchi were good to start with - but the stand out star was the garlic bread. If you get anything, get the garlic bread. Wood fired pizza was tasty and the creme brûlées were perfect (we had 3 of them) Our server (Marina) really made our night special - she was so thoughtful and a great conversationalist and made great recommendations. Would come back!

We celebrated our 43rd wedding anniversary at Basil & Mint. We invited another couple to celebrate with us. After our friends told our server we were celebrating, Daisy brought us 2 glasses of champagne. What a surprise that was! I enjoyed the spacing between drinks to salad to entree to dessert. After dessert no pressure was placed or felt to leave the restaurant. We had an enjoyable time with laughter, good food and drinks and wonderful company.

We recently went for the first time and enjoyed it. We can recommend the beet salad and peppercorn New York steak. The escargot was good, but not great (though the accompanying bread was excellent). The wine list is quite decent, though I would like to see a greater wine-by-the-glass selection. We brought a special bottle from home and paid the $25 corkage. The service and ambience were good, though the signage up from the underground parking could be improved.

The food was quite disappointing, some dishes were so salty they were barely edible. There are much better restaurants in the area at this price point.

Loved the escargot! I had to say special thanks to the chef for the escargot. Loved every single one of them. The ambience is quite intimate. The servers know what is on the menu. We took $40 3 course meal, and loved the soup, entree as well. Definitely recommend.

Deep dive review! 2.5 hours we sat there and the restaurant was only half full. So a lot of waiting and yawning and wondering where our food was. The servers didn t seem organized and did not communicate with us well. Pros: best Caesar salad most of us have ever had, delicious sour dough bread. Pork tenderloin was amazing as well. Cons: flavour and price point did not match. Food was good but not $40 for a 3 course good. Risotto lacked flavour. Soup was a small bowl for $10 and was just meh. Shrimp was just ok. Desserts were good, nothing to blow your mind, some got soggy from sitting up on their counter waiting to be served.

What a hidden gem! Such great food! Appetizers were spot on (I had the duck liver pate), and when I needed more crostini they didnt hesitate. We went with friends and we ordered very different things and all of them were great. Came out hot, all at the same time without waiting too long. When I asked about allergy adaptations they were totally okay with that as well. Overall a good vibe in there. Its on the pricey side for Kelowna, but you definitely get what you pay for in taste and portion sizes.

Unfortunately the price point to quality of food was mismatched, and the service was incredibly mediocre but the company was fabulous. Given that it was a bridal party (and a really well-behaved one at that), we expected the servers to at least be friendly but they were quite rude and dismissive.

My family and I dined on Aug 3 for supper. It was absolutely awful. I had a fresh tuna steak; it tasted more frozen. Came with a side of vegetables which were probably frozen vegetables that were steamed. There was nothing fresh or great about anyones meal. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Went there last night at about 7pm. We ordered an appetizer, drinks and main food right away. It took 20 minutes for us to get our drinks, 1 hour to get a simple eggplant starter that wasn t even that good and another 40 minutes to get our main food. By the time we got our main, we weren t even hungry anymore and just wanted to leave at that point. Restaurant was probably 2/3 full, not even. Do not recommend, go someplace else.

Basil and Mint truly is our favorite restaurant in town, not only for the quality of food but the quality of atmosphere and service. On this visit we went to celebrate a birthday party and had a fantastic time. Erica, whom I believe is also a manager there ended up taking care of us that evening and she did an outstanding job. Furthermore, the whole process of making a reservation, small changes and the final check-in was professional and enjoyable. The chicken entree is always a stand out option, and I hope to see what new exciting menu choices are added on our next visit. Parking: Parking is available inside the Playa del Sol parkade.

What can I say when you sit inside waiting 1-1/2hrs for your meal only to be advised that the whole main was forgotten about? Water was fine, the soup and Caesar salad was ok but only took an hour to get to our table. Even our waitress didn t even figure out that we had been sitting there for so long without our meals. First time there and definitely the last.

My family of 4 went there for dinner at 6:45, service seemed not to bad. My husband and son ordered the 3 course meal, my daughter ordered pizza and I got salad for myself. The drinks came right away , as so did the soup and my sons salad. That took about 30 mins. And than they FORGOT about us!! we sat there waiting, and waiting, someone came and took our plates away. But no food. And we waited some more..until about 9pm and when asked about our meal they said they had forgotten about us. 5hey took care of our meal and said we could leave, even though we didnt finish our drinks.

Weve stayed at Playa Del Sol every year for the past 10 years and have never been to Basil & Mint before. On this most recent trip we went twice! Thats how good it was. Good portion sizes, good kids items, great service and good pricing too! Will be back next year for sure.

The food was excellent. The Apple parsnip and carrot soup was delicious. You could taste every flavor. Caesar salad had lovely anchovy flavor. Both our entrees were delicious. Service was really good too, so we will look forward to coming back.

Menu is diverse for all dietary requirements and has a price point to fit any budget. We can dine at Boston Pizza and bill is the same. Nice atmosphere and service with REAL food!!

I wouldnt recommend this eatery to anyone. Ive given it 2 chances. The root vegetable salad was 5 pickled beats out of a can on a plate with the smallest amount of goat cheese sprinkled on top. The fruit served with the cocktails was old. It seems like the kitchen staff put in the least amount of effort into the food they cook.
