Tuna tartar is a must have! Everything was amazing - food, service & atmosphere. Mitch was a great server, he gave great recommendations without trying to just upsell us, he just gave genuine recommendations which is always appreciated. Timing of everything was great and the experience was all around 10/10! Can t wait to bring friends back.

Our Christmas party was catered by Derricks and the food was amazing and the service was stellar! We also had a staff meal at the restaurant the next week and again, the food was delicious, the service cant be beat and the atmosphere of the restaurant was beautiful. I loved the decor, it was simple and understated, perfect for the holiday season! Thanks for two wonderful meals!!

Derrick s was an experience from start to finish. One of the highlights was the unique table-side salad preparation. A particularly fun touch was the ability to choose your own steak knife from a selection. Clark was a fantastic server polite, informative, and engaging, making sure we had everything we needed. Her expertise and friendly demeanor was an extension to an already stellar dining experience. Overall, great food and experience. If youre looking for top-tier steaks, an interactive dining experience, and exceptional informative service, I cant recommend this place enough.

Service is amazing, top notch. Food... overly salty and very pricey. Yes, the Caesar salad is amazing, but not worth $40. Ive had better steaks, and the sides are so salty, they are hard to eat. The staff make this place worth visiting, but Id rather eat at home

We came here for our anniversary and had the best time!! Our server Cody was amazing, very friendly and was very knowledgeable suggesting great wine for us to try. This was our first fine dining experience and we would definitely come back. The food and service makes the price very worthwhile! Would recommend

I d heard it was great but WOW! I ve eaten in a lot of steak houses and this one literally tops the charts. From the ease upon entering, like you ve walked into your best friend s dining room, to the sensational atmosphere and then complimented by exquisite service. Not snotty service, warm, friendly and personable, but with a fine dining experience. The table created Caesar salad, is not just delicious, but a pleasure to watch and interact with. The table poured bubbly, the maître D beef descriptions excite your senses, preparing you for the main event. And an event it is! Expertly grilled fine cuts, with sides that deserve to be the star of the show. An experience that every steak lover truly needs to have, thank you, we shall return again and again!

The food is amazing and ambience is lovely. Go early and avoid the crowds and the Caesar salad fantastic, share portions they are decent size.

10/10 the best steakhouse in Kelowna! Highly recommend the fresh, table side caesar salad, cowboy butter for your perfectly cooked steak, mushroom risotto as a side and chocolate silk cake for dessert. The service is outstanding (thank you, Cody), even our 10 year old son had a great time! We will be back, over and over again. Yum!

Impeccable dining experience! We went for our anniversary and we were not disappointed.

As someone who has had many steak dinners, this place just comes up short. We had the Wagyu beef which I m questioning - is it actually traditional Wagyu? It was chewy and just overall mediocre. The high prices are absolutely not worth it. The highlight is the layer cake, come for that and eat steak elsewhere. I would be confident to say this place is very over priced for tte quality of food.

WOW! Went to Derricks last night for my birthday celebration and it did not disappoint. They graciously gave us the specific table I requested when making my reservation (by the kitchen window, recommended to watch the magic happen!!), and even had a little birthday card waiting at the table for me :) Christina was our server and she is awesome, I love servers who love what they do! Everything we ate was top notch, tableside caesar is an experience and has made us want to throw out the creamy caeser sauce from our fridge. Tash did a great job explaining the process while making it, also a fantastic staff member to chat with. The steaks were simply perfect!! I had the 10oz tenderloin, which was cooked a spot on medium rare, and my wife had the A3 Wagyu sirloin, Oscar style. Both AMAZING! We made sure to get the chefs name, Josh!!, so we can ask him to cook our steaks next time we visit. I think Im going to go ahead and say it was the best steak Ive ever eaten, and Ive eaten alot of them! So happy to support this place, weve been following Derrick for a while. We live close by the Codfathers/Broken Anchor, and we love seeing his foodtruck at events. So glad he decided to open up a proper old skool style steakhouse. Very lucky to have a place like this in our town :) Literally one of the best meals Ive ever had. Food, service,. atmosphere, everything just perfect! If I win the lottery I will be eating here everyday! See you guys again soon!

Our experience at Dericks was outstanding. From accommodating a last-minute reservation to offering an impressive cocktail and wine selection, Dericks is a much-needed addition to Kelowna s dining scene. The beet salad, assorted potatoes, carrots, mushrooms, and the exceptional 36oz bistecca steak were all perfectly prepared. The service was top-notch, and the bartenders are true professionals something that can be hard to find in the valley. It s a relief to finally have a fine dining option downtown.

Eight of us had a work celebration function this evening and the service provided to us by Christine, our server, was 10 out of 10! They definetly have a great varity of appies, steaks, side dishes bevys & wine, plus you can select your own style of steak knife. Who does that!!! Needless to say, all of us were very impressed and we will return. Thank you Christine for the great experience.

The chef did an outstanding job. Absolutely recommend the Ribeye to share. The service that Chris and the team provided was excellent. Best steak I have had in Kelowna hands down. Great atmosphere, great wine selection and amazing meal. We will be back very soon!

Great food in a nice lively place with fantastic service

I dined at Derricks Steakhouse this past Saturday and had an incredible experience! I walked in without a reservation and was able to get a seat at the bar, where the service and food exceeded my expectations. My bartender was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive, making the whole experience even better. I started with the mussels and fries, which were cooked perfectly, and they brought out fresh bread drizzled with olive oil and sea salt an absolute treat! For dessert, I indulged in the Valrhona layered chocolate cake, and that was truly something special. They roll the cake out on a trolley, cut it in front of you, and ask how much whipped cream youd like. The cake itself was heavenly rich in chocolate flavor without being overly sweet. The overall ambiance, exceptional service, and delicious food have me looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommend Derricks Steakhouse!

Came in this weekend, overall disappointing. Feedback to Derrick: 1. Use hot plates, this is a basic, the rectangular serving plates were bone cold. The bistecca steak was cold, not what you expect for a $160 steak 2. Service was poor, was ready to order the appetizer right away (olives, which weren t available) and was told I couldn t order them. Had to order cocktails only first which took an hour to arrive. When they arrived they had been waiting on the bar as the foam had separated in them 3. Forgot his name but the host (person who took the order for cocktails and cut up the bistecca steak for table side service - slightly tall, dark hair), was rude and condescending The bissteck steak cooled on the plate 4. Drinks were empty, not refilled at all - again poor service 5. Glassware covered in water stains, not properly cleaned 6. Side came out cold - broccolini & duck fat potatoes came out cold, not I d what expect for ~$20 sides Room for improvement, specifically around service and the quality of the delivery of the meal. Perhaps on another day it would have been a different experience.

Its really one of those fantastic restaurants where you really get what you pay for. From the quality of food to the care of service everything was immaculate! I rarely go for steak but everything was delicious and perfectly seasoned. I would definitely recommend this as the spot for any beef lover and any lover of food in general! I had the beef tenderloin with a baked potato and scallops and have never been more pleased with a decision in my life.

We had a memorable experience at Derrick s and are excited to make this our go to for family celebrations. The staff accommodated our party of seven and delivered golden moments with everyone, including my toddler. We were celebrating two birthdays and the entire experience was spectacular. From delicious canapés (potato mochi) to flutes of brut, phenomenal presentation of the cuts of Alberta beef, an AMAZING 1560 (beautiful riff on a French 75) and perfectly paired sides (I m still dreaming about the carrots and the truffle Mac & Cheese), to the lighting and ambiance, every aspect of this restaurant displays quality. It s a modern twist on the classic steakhouse experience and fills a much needed gap here in the city.

Just a wonderful experience across the board. Staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, the table side service is a refreshing blast from the past to a time when going out for dinner meant more than just skipping the dishes. The drinks and mocktails were amazing. Portions are very reasonable, food quality and presentation is absolutely top shelf. Definitely recommended for anyone who wants a finer dining experience than cactus club, Joeys or all the other generic cookie cutter little black dress-taraunts. The finale? Derricks classic chocolate cake. Absolutely unreal. Not only was my dining experience near perfect but the place is locally owned and operated by a guy who genuinely cares about not only the quality of his product but the community as a whole.

The food was creative and a good atmosphere but the pricing was a bit steep,however as i understand it, this is an independent owner operator and iflation makes it tough to purchase the quality ingredients they use at reasonable prices. This restaurant is relatively new at this location so I may come back in 6 months and give it another try and Im sure the food will be exceptional the second time around. I always prefer to support local restaurants rather than big chains so I will definitely try this place again down the road.

So happy Kelowna finally has a real steakhouse. First, the service is top notch. Our server was Mike and he is a veteran of the restaurant scene and if you are fortunate enough to have him serve your table, your evening will be that much better. The food is excellent, I have not had a steak cooked that perfectly (med-rare), tasted that flavourful and be that tender in a very long time. Sides were generous and delicious as well. A cool touch is you get to choose your weapon as they come to your table with a wooden box containing a number of different steak knives you get to choose from. Well done All! Will be back soon!

Went out for dinner on a Saturday night, made a reservation for 8:30. Sat at the bar due to our table not being available until 8:50. Our meals were horribly salted, gave us the wrong meals. Paid $160 for a steak that was horribly salted, had to scrape off all of the seasoning for it to be even edible. After the meal we went to pay the bill, they graciously took off our bottle of wine as compensation. Then later when we went to leave our waiter stopped us and asked if we meant to put a 20% tip or a $20. Technically asking for more tip which is extremely disrespectful as the meal was not even considered edible. Wasn t up to the waiter to make the food but the manager was the one with the sea salt obsession. Overpriced. Not worth it. Will not go back.

Dined at Derricks in Kelowna earlier this weekend. Food was average . . . presentation could be improved. Plates are super cold which is bizarre for a steakhouse. However, the Espresso Martini I requested (not on the menu) was phenomenal Top 10. As for service, ours was TOP NOTCH! Would return just for the great customer service, honestly. A rarity in most Kelowna restaurants. Derricks is super clean which matters a lot to us. No complaints in that regard. All in all, we had a nice time & we are happy to support local eateries but well probably just have cocktails next time & skip the food.

Something Special! If you have not been to Derricks Steakhouse downtown yet, you should definitely give it a try as it is easily one of the top restaurants in Kelowna now. We were there last night and all I can say is Wow. Expensive? Yes. Worth it? For sure! It is where the old RauDZ used to be.

Just visited Derrick s Steakhouse in Kelowna, and I must admit, my expectations were tempered, having dined at some of the worlds premier steak establishments. However, I was thoroughly impressed. The quality of the food and the exemplary service would make Derrick s a standout even in a bustling city like Vancouver. My steak was incredible and so was every other dish. A special mention goes to Kalen and Sam whose service was impeccable and whose cocktails were outstanding. I look forward to returning many times. Highly recommended.

Food was superb. Service was outstanding. Atmosphere was intimate but nicely buzzy. My husband and I treated my son and his girlfriend to dinner for my sons birthday. The bill was $700 so was a real treat for all of us. We don t have that kind of money to throw around. And then the whole evening was ruined by the head whoever asking us to leave because they needed the table. Maybe it s a Canadian thing. Where I come from originally you have your table for as long as you like. That s why I only gave 3 stars. And I am definitely not entitled I just found that rude.

We were so excited to visit this place but unfortunately did not have a great experience. Our server was unable to answer basic questions we had about the menu. We waited 1 hour to even order our food, our server was no where to be seen , we had to ask someone else to grab her. All the food was average. One of us ordered king crab, two minutes before it came out they informed us that they didn t have king crab and we were getting A different find of crab. The crab was so soft we couldn t even crack it open. Ended up paying $800 for 4 people, average food and terrible service. Overall not a Great experience and likely will not be back

Fantastic steak house experience. Our party enjoyed every aspect of the experience. The service was exceptional, and the food delicious. It s great to have a good steak house in town. It s all here. The wine, the appetizers, the side dishes, the amazing sourdough bread - and of course the steaks. 5 stars across the board richly deserved. Don t skip the made at the table Caesar salad. Parking: The private parking directly across the street is pricey, but the street parking is super cheap. Pay for either from your phone. $25 private. $1.50 street. Parked from 5:30 to 9 PM.

Went there last night to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. We had the chefs 5 course tasting menu with the wine paring and it was absolutely amazing! Because they knew it was our anniversary to start we were given a beautiful sparkling wine and our table had a little happy anniversary card for us! The service was exceptional and with every bite my boyfriend took he mentioned how amazing the food tasted! I called a head to make sure a wheat allergy could be accommodated and they went above and beyond any restaurant. When they brought out the warm bread and butter for while we waited for our food, they gave me veggies with an amazing dip to enjoy. The gluten free dessert was to die for. Derricks steakhouse really made our anniversary extra special!

Nice place but honestly the food doesnt live up to its price point. My steak was a bit tough and I did not like how it came pre cut... lost all of its juices. The sides were okay but over priced and skimpy. Table side caeser salad was good and server was nice to chat with. The expensive caeser cocktail I ordered was watered down and bland. Honestly the keg is much better.

Absolutely fantastic place, everything was phenomenal. From the high quality of service, to atmosphere, to the delicious food it was top notch and exceeded our expectations. The quality of service and steakhouse is akin to something youd find in a Toronto, London, or New York steakhouse. Their waygu steak was better than the one at a Wolfgang Puck restaurant. So happy to have this gem in Kelowna. Definitely will be back.

A beautiful classic steakhouse experience in Downtown Kelowna. Enthusiastic and professional staff, very knowledgable about their entire menu, drink options and pairings. A tight menu of classics and cuts. A very strong and needed addition to the Kelowna culinary scene, perfect for business dinners and date night! So happy that Kelowna finally has a proper steak house!

It was amazing from beginning to end! My partner and I went to celebrate my birthday. We were greeted with what looked like a hand drawn birthday card on the table! Our server was fantastic, and the food was delicious. I loved the table side preparation of some of the items. Also enjoyed some of the quirky touches like the chose your own weapon , overall atmosphere was really pleasant, playful and professional all at the same time. I can tell someone (probably many someones) put a lot of thought and energy into ensuring guests have a good experience at this restaurant. Will be coming back for sure!

We had an unreal experience at Derricks Steakhouse. The food was amazing and the service was phenomenal. We definitely will be coming back here ! Glad to have a restaurant like Derricks open up here in Kelowna.

A lot of times you go to a high priced restaurant and the food doesn t quite match what you pay for Derricks is not that place. Not that the prices are crazy, you just pay for what you re getting. This was the best meal I had in a very long time. The flavours were on point but the quality of the food itself was top tier. Even the bread you get was over the top. I had the Bistecca. You should have the Bistecca. The waiter brings a box of assorted steak knives to the table, you choose the knife you like best. We had the opportunity of having Mike serve us. He was professional, polite, and fun. This was cool and added to the experience. Nothing about this place was mediocre. You get what you pay for. Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs. You got wheels your good

Quite literally the best risotto I ve ever had. And I m from Montreal, where we have some of the best food in Canada. The Steak was incredible, with cowboy butter. Service was unmatched , the owner , Ross was great and bouncing around talking to everyone and bringing food out and super attentive and involved . Dietary restrictions: Waiter will always ask before you make your order about any restrictions

We had a nice dinner but were expecting higher quality food and service from other reviews we read ahead of time as well as price charged. Basically only 2 non alcohol cocktails offered. My soda was brought to me in a can that I had to pour myself. Side dishes that are shared at the table were served with no spoons to actually dish them out with. Our steaks were fine but as an example my 6 oz tenderloin was very thin (about 1cm). I was expecting a thicker steak that was smaller around and the outside was burnt. My steak knife was so dull it would barely cut my steak. Black house flies were circling around us while we ate. After only about 1 1/4 hours of sitting at the table and while some of us were still enjoying wine the waitress was asking for payment. We felt very rushed. On our way out of the restaurant we realized others were waiting for our table. We were excited to try out this new steak house but will not be back.

Great experience, great food. A casual atmosphere but high end service and high end food. Need to go back to sample other items, but the Truffle au Poivre was one of my favorite dishes Ive had at any restaurant.

OK .. if you re in Kelowna and want a great steak, this is the place to go. Have the amazing Caesar salad and a steak and you ll be a better person for it. The service was spectacular and very attentive. I ll be back!

Me and my boyfriend had dinner and couldn t recommend enough, when we asked about the menu the came with a tray with each steaks and they were explained detailed with sides recommendations and the service was 100/10 and wine was offered as a courtesy but me and my partner don t drink. I got mussels and they were heaven is a must try for sure.

The food was amazing! However, Derricks steakhouse is more than just a meal, its an experience. The tableside Caesar Salad and Cherry flambe are fantastic. Being able to view the different steak options and pick your own knife are unique to Derricks as well. The quality of the steaks (all Alberta beef), the wine list and cocktail options exceeded my expectations. Kudos to Chef Ross Derrick! Derricks is a must for Kelowna locals and those vacationing in the Okanagan.

Such a fantastic experience at Derricks steakhouse. The staff were amazing, very attentive and knowledgeable and the atmosphere was excellent too! Food was incredible, beyond the steak being perfectly cooked and melt in your mouth, you definitely must have the chocolate cake served table side. It was definitely busy and the place to be on a Friday night. A must do!

I was really excited to come here .. but i was really really disappointed . We have the beef and brie appetizer . It was dripping in fat to the point i actually had to spit it out and i almost lost my cookies The cornbread pancake that accompanied it was delicious however! We had the cesar salad ! Nothing to complain about there .. muscles where good !!! But the steak .. 14 oz strip loin was extremely bland .. shockingly so . And the cioppino was also quite bland and had a herb that was over done (seemed like cardamom or coriander ) but I could not put my finger on it . The staff is phenomenal and very attentive and knowledgeable .. but overall this place was disappointing and for the price I would not go back again

We visit Kelowna and Vernon every summer, we decided to try a new spot Derricks steakhouse. The atmosphere is good the service staff are great and knowledgeable. The food was just ok. The steak didnt have much flavor and the beef and brie was fairly fatty with limited flavor. The cornbread was very good as well as the mussels.

Absolutely incredible food and atmosphere, knowledgeable servers and a very cool explanation of the different types of steaks. Cant wait to go back!

I wanted to share a detailed experience when I came in on Saturday, August 3rd. I had made a reservation and got an amazing seat; I was bringing two friends from Toronto to this restaurant because I knew they could provide an amazing experience. From offering a choice of sparkling at the beginning and choosing the table side Caesar salad, it was outstanding. Having a maitre D and a server was such a unique experience, and my server helped me choose a beautiful bottle of Syrah. Then came the steaks. My friends were splitting a medium 6 oz steak, and I had chosen the feature cut of the night, an A4 steak cooked rare, which was not listed on the menu. The steaks seemed to be taking awhile, and our server came shortly after to tell us the chef wasn t happy with the cook on them and that they were being refired. Finally, the refired steaks hit the table, and to my dismay, my steak was still overcooked. I was fine with the first refire; mistakes happen, but when my steak has to be refired twice on such a luxurious cut? It was sent back once more, and by the time mine came out, my friends had finished eating, and I was left eating alone. The experience was beautiful up until the steaks, by the end I had just felt rushed and disappointed. Additionally, I was told the price of my cut was $79, but when the bill came I discovered it was in fact $95. Not a huge difference but the price was incorrectly communicated to me as it was a feature and not actually listed. After all this, they gave me the bill (which was originally full price which is how I noticed the difference in price for the steak) and after inquiring they gave me 50% off of only my steak, but truthfully I still felt disappointed. I brought my friends here because I thought they would get a great experience out of it, but overall how the situation was handled in an establishment that specializes in steaks, I was a little taken aback. After all this, I don t know if this will still be my go to spot.

Definitely not the place for a quiet dinner. It was only half full and you had to yell to the person next to you. Made that part very disappointing. The food was very good, especially their house bread. With the steak it says vegetables, that was misleading 3 extremely tiny asparagus spears. The Ceasars salad prepared at the table was just ok and 18 per person. They let you pick your cutlery. Cheese bread was good. Onion rings were average. Expect to be there awhile. Staff are very friendly. We are not drinkers so their tasting of wines was a pass. The menu is abit limited.

Easily our new favourite spot to eat! The food was over the top phenomenal- I think the best restaurant meal I ve had in Kelowna. The service was on the ball, as well as warm, funny, and so friendly. Watching the back of house team work their magic in the kitchen was also a treat! We can t wait to go back again, and would absolutely recommend Derrick s to anyone after a top tier evening out.

What a great addition to Kelowna, everything was excellent, I am still thinking about the Wagu Beef and Brie dish! Cant wait to go back!

This is not just somewhere to go to enjoy a meal, this is where to go if you want a full culinary experience. With tableside service options you get to immerse yourself in the preparation of your meal. Truly one of the best dinners I have ever had! This is what Kelowna has been missing. The steak was amazing, but also recommend trying the onion rings, Caesar salad and make sure to get the mushrooms as a side! Everything we tasted was fantastic. We can t wait to go back.

Derricks Steakhouse is a casual, but high-end dining experience. The serving staff brought out samples to show us each cut of meat that is on the menu and we were invited to choose own own unique steak knives to use. I ordered the tenderloin and it was cooked to perfection . Dessert was delicious too. I ordered the chocolate silk cake. Will definitely eat there again. Great place to take a date or clients.

10/10 best steak/meal in town! The atmosphere and presentation was unreal and the wine list is spot on. The meals came out perfect and the company and staff were top notch. Easily one of our new go to places!

Great Experience! Chef Alex Lavroff nailed it. Our food was excellent. Incredible cook on our steaks, perfectly seasoned, huge portion sizes for your side dishes. Well curated wine list, with wine that appeals to all levels of wine knowledge add budgets. Cocktails were great, the service was excellent. Derricks was simply a hit. We will definitely be back, great job!

Derricks is phenomenal! The steaks we ordered were perfectly cooked and delicious, and the service was kind and attentive. We loved the option for welcome bubbles and the steak tartare was out of this world! Ross (who also catered our wedding! :)) put incredible care and thought into every detail, making our special day unforgettable. We love bringing friends and family to any endeavour hes behind because we know it will be exceptional. Highly recommend and can t wait to go back!

Fabulous night out with the family trying out Derrick s during their soft opening week! As steak lovers the boys were more than thrilled. Probably up there as one of the best meals I ve ever had said one of them, and me as a vegetarian, enjoyed every delicious mouthful of my light and perfectly cooked risotto, table side Caesar salad, and vegetable sides! Topped off with a lemon meringue dessert unlike anything my Mum ever made (sorry Mum!!) all in all Derrick s is a fantastic addition to the Downtown Kelowna restaurant scene. Another great collaboration initiative from Chefs Ross Derrick and Alex Lavroff.

Best dinning experience of the year! Can t wait to go back! We had wagu with cowboy butter. The carrots with goat cheese and honey and a gorgeous truffle risotto!!! The table side ceaser was definitely a highlight I was The Best Ceaser salad I ve EVER had!

Its definitely the place to be. Kelowna badly needed a restaurant like this and Derricks Steakhouse does not disappoint. Not only is the food and drink spectacular, but the service, staff, and atmosphere are also amazing. I am currently pregnant and not drinking, I was pleasantly surprised to see a decent Mocktail menu. I had the Audrey Smile and it was delicious. I look forward to coming back.

What an amazing experience! The food is absolutely amazing, full of flavor in every dish. The service provided is the best weve had and Chris our server was top notch. He even remembered all of our names which was a nice touch. This is NOT your typical come in, eat, and leave type of restaurant. You are in for a full culinary experience and it will blow your mind! The locally sourced wine, beer and spirits are all incredible and the steaks are absolutely amazing and cooked to perfection! Chef Alex and his kitchen staff knocked it out of the park! Ross Derrick himself we watched converse with essentially every guest we saw come in including ourselves and made us feel right at home. 10/10 recommend!

Loved our experience at Derricks steakhouse! The little extras like bringing the different cuts of meat to the table to explain each, letting you choose your knife, the tableside menu options... everything is well thought out. I live in Alberta so am used to having a good steak but am still thinking about that meal. The steak was perfectly cooked & the sauces and sides were fantastic. Highly recommend this place. Cant wait to go back next time Im in town!

I love this take on a classic steakhouse. Plus as someone with celiac disease there were many glutenfree options and thee staff were knowledgeable and considerate of cross-contamination. Definitely go. Dietary restrictions: Celiac, gluten-free

Weve been here twice since they opened barely a month ago and will definitely keep coming back! Beautiful restaurant with wonderful staff and absolutely perfecting the traditional steakhouse model that you just dont see anymore! From the maître d to the table side Caesar salad, and bringing the cuts of meat out to your table before you order, this place nails it! Bottom line is you will be hard pressed to find a better cut of meat cooked anywhere near as perfectly no matter where you go. Highly recommend!

Ross Derrick has transformed an iconic space in downtown Kelowna into something of his own. What we have needed for years, a classic steakhouse has arrived. Incredible cocktails, a thoughtful wine list and steaks done as you would expect from a classic American Steakhouse. Run, don t walk to this place

Steaks were delicious, not happy with table sharing with a family who brought their very young kids to a high end steakhouse. If you are allowing small kids then put them in the back of the restaurant not at the front table where everyone can hear them.

I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Derek s Steakhouse this evening and it truly exceeded all expectations, I can say with confidence this is the best restaurant experience I have ever had in the Okanagan. The decor and atmosphere is very welcoming and genuine, the service is impeccable and the added touches of table side presentation is a wonderful addition. There is a thoughtfulness throughout the entire meal experience which keeps dinners engaged. This restaurant also has a fantastic selection of non alcoholic beverages which were incredible! The food is masterfully presented and every dish enjoyed was perfection. We had the beef tartar (picture above) and beef and Brie for appetizers which were both mind blowing! The ribeye steak was cooked beautifully and simply delicious with multiple sides enjoyed. This restaurant is an absolute gem and I can t wait to go back to try everything else on the menu. Awesome location catch 22 .. Mitch was an excellent server.. food was unbelievable absolute the best restaurant downtown Kelowna only problem is they keep getting good reviews. I won t get a seat when I want to .. she said it s not IPA not

My husband and I went here for our anniversary dinner tonight and this place did not disappoint! Food was great and service was even better. Starter, we had oysters and shared a main of table side bistecca with red smash potatoes and roasted carrots, of course with some vino. Finished off with silky chocolate cake. Oysters were a little too big and juicy for hubby but I didn t mind eating 5 out of 6. Steak, cooked to perfection! With a little table side performance of steak cutting. Our server always came back to make sure that our drink was topped up without being too overbearing which happens a lot in nice restaurants. We ve just moved to Kelowna in the fall from Vancouver. Been to Hy s, Gotham and B&B and Derrick is comparable to those places if not better. We will definitely come back!

My wife and I had a wonderful evening sitting at the bar at Derrick s, a welcome discovery after the closing of the legendary Raudz last November. Ross Derrick is a friendly and gracious host, Mitchell and Samuel are top-notch bartenders, and our salad and main courses were all memorable. The beet salad is a visual feast, and tastes like a healthy dessert. Despite being a vegetarian, my wife can t wait to return. And for those who think that vegetarians eat the food their food eats, rest assured that my mouthwatering striploin was grilled to perfection, and it will keep me coming back for more. The emergence of Derrick s on the local restaurant scene is great news for all of us looking for an upscale dining destination in Kelowna.

It was one of a kind experience not to be missed! Our son in law took us out, exclaiming it was an experience like no other. Ive ever had a steak presentation or such amazing tableside service. The staff were fantastic, and the food spoke for itself. Its an amazing place if youre looking to spoil your spouse or just enjoy great food. Not only that, but Derrick was friendly and hands-on, ensuring guests were enjoying their night. Kid-friendliness: They have booster seats for children.
