Humo Izakaya in Kelowna

We did an 8 person 5 course chef s menu and the food was divine. Our group had some dietary restrictions and they were nice enough to accommodate them all. It was such a great experience - 5 stars all around!!!

Every dish was bangin 10/10. I spend a lot of time in Mexico and eat a lot of esquites and theirs were not traditional but definitely up there as some of the best ever!

Your team is exceptional! We had an amazing Chef s table dining experience for all eleven of us. Your service and food were spectacular throughout our entire evening. Thank you for everything, we will be back!

Wow! Excellent experience all around. Service and food exceptional, atmosphere warm with the perfect level of buzz, and attention to food allergies was also to perfection. Craving the Jalisco Kamikaze, the Hokkaido scallops, and Smoked Adobo Half Chicken with the homemade blue corn tortillas and the trio of delicious sauces you will want to finish with a spoon (which i took home and did because I was wonderfully full). Cant wait to return :)

This place is a Vibe! The food was so perfectly curated and unique to Kelowna, 10/10 on the taste meter! I honed in on the Kimchi rice, and it did not disappoint! I needed to have more, so I came back again for lunch the next day!

As a foodie, I have been to most restaurants in Kelowna. As a Peruvian, I have tried a lot of Japanese and Latin food this restaurant was the best I have ever been to! Amazing food, super fresh and amazing service. Everything was cooked to perfection. I recommend the Triple Cooked Yuccas, Seared Albacore Tuna, the Hokkaido Seared Scallops and the oysters.

Humo Izakaya is exactly the kind of dining experience Kelowna has been missing. I had the pleasure of meeting Chef Kai, who personally introduced me to his restaurant. His passion and skill are undeniable, and the care he puts into each dish is remarkable it feels like a profile on Chef s Table just watching him. The service is quick, warm, and inviting, making it a great spot whether youre grabbing a bite after work or enjoying dinner with loved ones. The wine selection is excellent and with exceptional seasonal food, fantastic service, and a perfect ambiance. You won t ever regret eating at Humo.

Delicious food,a bit pricey

Ordered duck wings, karaage chicken, chilled spicy ramen with spicy pork, pan seared Hokkaido scallops, and the flat iron steak Highly disappointed Duck wings - is more like duck drumsticks I know it s part of the wing itself but would like to actually have the wings. Flavour itself was fair.. Karaage Chicken - basically unseasoned fried chicken with some kind of a curry flavour sauce? Chilled spicy ramen - it s basically a save on foods Thai noodle salad with mayo however the temperature of the spicy pork was warmed which made the noodles warm and kinda took away the chilled aspect of this dish. Hokkaido scallops - flavours were good .. but the sear was only on one side. Whether that was intentional or not I do not know. Also the scallop was just a bit over done. Flat iron steak - not bad overall but failed to taste the Asian flavours. I guess the most Asian thing about this dish is the yolk in the sauce. Overall wouldn t recommend, but to be honest we didn t order drinks. So if you go for drinks it might be worth it.

We were a group of four so we were at a small table. The service was outstanding - very friendly and professional. The food was very good - particularly the cod. The issue we had was the extremely high noise level. We could barely hear each other even when leaning in to hear. So, despite the food, sadly I don t think we will be going back.

I just had the most incredible black cod of my life! I cant wait to go back and have that same dish again. It feels like a crime for fish to taste that good. The drinks, appetizers, and side dishes were all fantastic too. Id rate the whole experience a perfect 10 out of 10!

It was our second time at Humo. Very enjoyable like the first. Yanik was our server. He was excellent! The food was great! The feel is nice in the restaurant! Sat by the front with the overhead doors open. We were there for happy hour and had six different share plates. All were very good! Compliments to the Chef! We will be back!

We had a women s luncheon for three and we loved it! The food and bevies were fabulous, the atmosphere sophisticated and trendy, while the staff were welcoming and attentive. I especially appreciated the attention given to my allergies. We will return!

My husband and I went to Humo Izakaya for our date night last night as we wanted to try something new in town. We loved it!! The food was so incredible! Every bite was so delicious. We loved the margaritas and the ceviche. It was great to share everything we ordered. We will definitely go back here.

These guys catered a wedding we were at last night in Sicamous. If the restaurant is half as good as last nights experience was it would still be incredible !! From the drinks to the appies to the mains to the dessert, every thing we had was an 11/10 and I m picky about my food! Im happy when I m still thinking and talking about a great meal all the next day, and that s exactly what you ll get with them. So, so impressed. I want it all again. Overpriced for the quality. The scallops and prawns came out looking grey and slimey and scraped off an ocean floor. Drinks were mid at best. I got insane food poisoning from the ceviche. So much for a special anniversary dinner.

One of the premier spots in Kelowna. The dishes are full of flavor. Spectacular fusion. This is exactly what the waterfront needed. You dont want to miss this place if youre just visiting. Service not so much. Go for the food however. EDIT : I have returned the next year, and the service was beyond amazing. Ended up going back again, and equally as great with a different server, bad nights happen, wasnt willing to let the food this place serves not be enjoyed due to 1 server. The black cod is god like. A one of a kind dish. The bar is on point with craft cocktails.

Cozy vibe, amazing food and service. We had the braised beef ribs x bone marrow. It was divine: the softest and juiciest meat that falls off the rib, succulent fatty umami bone marrow broiled to perfection. Only thing that couldve been better was the cocino azul tortilla was a bit too dry.

We were initially expecting a Japanese restaurant, but were pleasantly surprised to discover that it was actually a Mexican/Japanese-inspired eatery. Despite the unexpected twist, the food was truly spectacular. And what really made our dining experience stand out was our server McKenzie, who provided exceptional service with attention to detail. He took the time to thoroughly explain each dish and made thoughtful recommendations, ensuring that we felt well taken care of throughout our meal. He also kept our water glasses full and checked in on us regularly to ensure everything was to our liking. We were thoroughly impressed with McKenzies service and will definitely be back to visit again when were in Kelowna! Kid-friendliness: My neice loved the duck wings! My fiancee and I came here for dinner on our vacation. We loved every detail and flavour profile absolutely delicious. Everything was made perfectly, the atmosphere is beautiful, and the staff excellent. Love love love!! One of the best restaurants ever, anywhere! :) The ceviche and cod were highlights for food and the ube colada for drinks.

Trendy Kelowna izakaya right in downtown area. High end restaurant, food was good to great. Personally Im not sure if an izakaya concept should be considered fine dining but I did enjoy the food if not the prices. Id recommend trying it to decide.

My wife and I went to Humo for dinner - many thanks to them for making our 39th wedding anniversary so special - champagne and dessert was kind and appreciated!Excellent service, and we really enjoyed all four dishes we had - complements to the chefs! Great scallops, Peruvian cerviche, pressed watermelon ,and karage chicken som salad. We both had all four dishes rated from 94-98 out of 100 for taste, uniqueness and presentation.

Everything about our visit exceeded expectations. Our server knew everything about the entire menu, was able to make fantastic suggestions to accommodate dietary issues and allergies. The food itself was simply fantastic. Seasoned perfectly and with flavor combinations you wouldnt expect but were absolutely delicious. A must try experience in Kelowna.

Absolutely fantastic, do not hesitate to try this restaurant. The chef has clearly put a lot of thought into the menu and the presentation of each dish is a work of art, and then you eat it and it s fresh, delicious, balanced and fun. The servers were knowledgeable, attentive and helpful, the cocktails were also amazing. Best restaurant downtown in my opinion, I hope them the best and look forward to eating there again and trying more items on the menu.

Fantastic fusion of Japanese and Mexican food - excellent service and great cocktails. Recommended!

This restaurant was simply fabulous - ambience is very chic luxe with finishes and decor that pays homage to tradition. It was the perfect choice for a location to celebrate a birthday for our sister s partner. We enjoyed the - duck wings - lobster bao (evening special) - wagyu served tataki style - char grilled octopus The duck wings were an instant hit. Wagyu was quite an experience for some folks in our party, but their intrigue was positive. The octopus was delicious but I d give it to the lobster bao as the runner up and something the restaurant should consider keeping on the menu permanently. Desserts were delicious as well, with my personal favourite being the strawberry shortcake which had an explosion of flavours going from sweet to acidic, warm to cold, mild to spicy - a delightful sensory experience you don t often come across on a dessert. Gold stars for the chef & team.

We had such a wonderful experience at HUMO- everything from the ambience, drinks, dinner, and dessert were fantastic. You cant beat the location and the portions are great. The duck wings and beef tartare were exceptional. Margaux took great care of us and we will be back next time we are in Kelowna. Worth a visit to this very special restaurant - well done Alex!

I would give this place 6 stars if I could! One of the best restaurants Ive ever been too. The food was perfect and the service was above and beyond. We were warned the fish would take an hour to prepare and we agreed. The kitchen went over a little over and hour and they took it off our bill completely (-$85)! Too bad we are from out of town. Otherwise, we would dine here frequently. Thank you, Humo Izakaya!

We shared an amazing meal, with exceptional service last night at Humo Izakaya. Every bite, was beautifully executed and the flavours were just so fantastic. It s an experience, I highly recommend. One of THE best restaurants I ve ever experienced in BC! From the food to the design to the amazing servers!! They do such an incredible job at describing every item so beautifully to you it makes you want to order everything!! I go here often. They also have a really great Zero Proof drink menu for those who don t drink alcohol.

Came with a group of 6 for a business meeting. They provided us with a private room which worked very well. Everyones food was a 10/10. Service could not have been any better. Margo helped make the experience for us all and was very attentive/informative with the menu options. An excellent option if youre looking for top end dining in the heart of downtown Kelowna.

Beautiful location looking out at the lake. The restaurant is a great room, and they can open up the restaurant windows so its like sitting outside. The menu is really the star though, the food is excellent. Try the Ceasar salad and the scallops as we felt they were amazing.

By far the most elegant and delicious culinary experience of my life. Wish I lived near there so I can eat there every week!

The menu has changed, and the vegan options available have dwindled. My most recent visit was disappointing compared to the first few times we visited. We had the compressed watermelon, grilled vegetables, two tepache mocktails, spicy chilled ramen, and jackfruit tacos. We orders several vegan dishes to share, and each was phenomenal. Its one of those places that sets your expectations higher for what food can be. The Non-alcoholic tepacha was the best drink Ive had from a restaurant in a long, long time. Vegetarian options: They provide both vegetarian and vegan options. Just make sure to mention how youd like it made.

The food at Humo Izakaya deserves a solid 10 out of 10. Every dish was expertly prepared, bursting with flavor and made with high-quality ingredients. Margaux, our server, was simply amazing attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. She made our dining experience truly memorable.

This is one of my top restaurant experiences ! It s one thing to find a place that serves great food, but to find somewhere that serves great food you cant find anywhere else is a whole other thing times are tough now, and I find myself going out less. But if there s a restaurant to support and make a special occasion of, this is the one to go to. The chefs are innovative and creative. The servers are knowledgeable and passionate about the dishes they are serving.

The waitress was phenomenal. We had her order us our apples and she chose great dishes.

Finally made it to Humo, and not only did it not disappoint, it exceeded expectations. Chef is the boss of sauce. From the coconut lemongrass leche de tigre (ceviche), to the chorizo foam (octopus). Every bite we had was incredible. I m intolerant of glutens and one of the guests was pescatarian, we very much enjoyed our entire dining experience ordering a few things at a time and sharing everything. We had Guacamole (which is hands down THE best guac I have ever had and I LOVE guac ), Albacore Tuna (that truffle ponzu ), Aguachile (a must have whenever it appears on a menu), Cod Tacos (which I totally missed are beer battered, thankfully the server mentioned when she dropped them off and everyone else loved them) and the churro dessert (which they kindly put the glutens on the side so I could try, i took my bite and then my friends dumped the glutens on and nearly licked the bowl, probably would have if they could have.) I wish I was the type of human who took pictures of their food because everything was presented so beautifully but I m not. So you ll just have to go and see & taste for yourself. Also, as a side note felt it was very reasonably priced for what you get. We were all VERY satisfied at the end of our meal. My only critique would be it would have been really nice to have spoons, the sauces are so good. We did end up asking for a spoon nearly every course (we couldn t wait on the first course because it was soo good), but it made us feel needy having to ask. So we appreciate how quickly one was provided and with a smile. All in all, a must try in the Okanagan from a very particular diner with exceptionally high expectations. She was excellent to deal with, handled all logistical details smoothly, and provided a truly enjoyable dinner event. Vanessa, our server, was also wonderful - Friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and attentive. Combined with the delicious food, this all made for a Five Star evening. Amazing dinner, amazing service. We will be back!

First off, they have KILLED it with the remodel; the decor is on point! The atmosphere was a huge improvement from previous restaurants at this location. Our server was delightful and very knowledgeable of the dishes and drink pairings. We had 6 dishes between us and were satisfied with most of our choices. The pork belly tacos, gyoza, and duck wings were a huge hit! We were, however, underwhelmed with the karage chicken as it was quite bland. It would be best served as the first thing you eat as every other dish overpowered it. The squid was also not quite something one would expect but the flavor was still good.

We had a fantastic time at Humo Izakaya. The menu is unique and refreshing from what you can normally find in Kelowna. Our meals were excellent! Everything was cooked perfectly (steak and duck). Management (Alex) went above and beyond to accommodate my allergies and even with the changes to my meals, it didnt affect the quality or taste of them at all. Our server Julian was attentive and checked on us regularly. Our glasses were never empty! I cant recommend this place enough.

Went for date night and really wanted this place to be good. They serve Tapa style, which we are very familiar with in Spain. However, these tapas were very small and overpriced. The duck wings were over cooked drum sticks with a very, very sweet sauced poured on top. The veal was below average. A single vodka tonic was $18.

A great place to eat one of the better meals I have had in Kelowna. Tapas are incredibly tasty and are good size portions(split things among 3 people easily). Drinks were also quite good. Servers are knowledgeable about the food and have great recommendations from the menu.

We went for New Year s Eve dinner and had the most wonderful time. This is the best food we have ever had and the service was amazing. Julian is a great server and the entire staff is very professional. You can tell that the food is made with love! We split a large amount of small dishes and every single one was a hit. Dietary restrictions: One of us has a soy allergy and it is very challenging to find restaurants that are knowledgeable enough about the food they are serving for us to eat out. Humo Izakaya did a wonderful job letting us know which dishes had soy and which did not. Highly recommend if you have a soy allergy.

Very innovative menu! The food is healthy and so delicious. Beautiful decor and wonderful service. I highly recommend it! Having an umbrella on the patio was such a nice touch.

We had a great time. The decor and atmosphere made us feel as if we were travelling somewhere. Perfect view of the lake from the patio. Nice bright flavours and a really cool complex. We were a walk in on a Saturday night at 7pm and they were very accommodating. Nice wine selection and awesome cocktails. Wagyu Carpaccio and albacore tostada were my favourites dishes. Oh and make sure you try the hand made corn tortillas. Excellent service. We definitely recommend and can t wait to go back.

Weve been to Humo twice now and both times we had great experiences. The food and cocktails are great, the service and ambiance are top notch.

We enjoyed our dinner at Humo Izakaya on the busy May long weekend. A true standout was the Mr. Roboto cocktail. It was refreshing to see the use of Midori in a form other than the Japanese Slippers and Midori Sours served throughout my city. Every cocktail was a hit. The restaurant kindly shared their recipe and I thoroughly enjoyed preparing my own at home and was immediately transported back to that weekend in Kelowna with my family.

Im always really excited for new local spaces to open, but this has really changed the Kelowna culinary and hospitality game. Alex, kai & team have really created a unique vision marrying food, beverage, service & environment harmoniously. Its really a gift to see local owners create a unique experience with such a passion for hospitality laying the ground work. Go to Humo, you wont be disappointed. And youll think about your happy tummy for days after.

I had an awesome dinner last Thursday. Our server Mackenzie was very knowledgeable and helpful. All the food we ordered was amazing. I highly recommend their dessert. Never miss it.

The ambiance is more like a high end bar then a high end restaurant. The menu was complicated but thanks to the server that memorized and was kind of able to describe the food. At the end, we just ordered what she suggested. The highlight of the place would be the cocktails. The food was ok, was a fusion of asian food with a western twist.

Everything was tasty and well presented. Beautiful decor and we got great service. So glad I tried this lovely place that is creative but not pretentious!

Had the pleasure of dining at Humo for the first time recently. It is difficult to describe in words how enjoyable our experience was in its entirety. The izukaya style sharing was joyous & well paced, the food - start to finish - was absolutely delicious with gorgeous plating & flavour that made it hard not to smile & get excited about (& talk about). Came for a visit with my parents. Amazing view overlooking the park, nice breeze. Beautiful atmosphere and the food was out of this world. Definitely will be coming again and again!

Great atmosphere and service. Cocktails are yummy. Prices are on the higher end but I understood why, once the food came. Duck wings were extraordinary, and Im not even a fan of good. Deep, complex flavours. I didnt enjoy the pork belly taco though. Not that flavourful and the soft shell wasnt the best. Definitely worth checking out. Its got a great, chic vibe.

Great atmosphere, was a little loud so the server needs to get right up close and almost yell to explain the specials. Food was amazing!! Definitely will be back!

Not recommended for big groups. Atmosphere was good but the staffs weren t really helpful. The attitude was nice and friendly but they couldn t really answer our questions like how big is the portion, how much would be enough to share when they promoted it to be a shareable place and recommended it so as the dishes would come out different times. While expecting food would come out at different times, it took way too long to get our food. Uni Carbonara tasted nothing like uni and could not see any uni. It s more like a fine dining restaurant than a izakaya

Had a great dinner at Humo tonight. Came here with my partner and we enjoyed our pork belly taco, wagyu carpaccio and Tomahawk Steak. Great service by Margaux and they have amazing cocktails. Mackenzie came over and checked on our food and drinks. The restaurant over looks the lake in the heart of downtown which is amazing. I d recommend this to people.

The food in this restaurant is Kelownas No. 1, and the tacos here can be compared with two Michelin stars. Its really worth doing the plane to eat a meal!

Absolutely one of the best places I have eaten at in the last 10 years. The staff were phenomenal and incredibly knowledgeable and the food was a wonderful take on two of my favourite styles. Excellently done we will back!

This place is unlike any other in Kelowna! The food is elevated, yet approachable with a fun play on favourites! Our server Meg made some killer suggestions for cocktails and pairings and talked to us about the extensive liquor selections - she is so knowledgeable as a staple in the downtown area! The manager, who was so friendly, made sure to check on us throughout the night, and everyone who approached us with food or drinks explained each item to us. Very well done! A bit more expensive than other restaurants in the area, but actually worth spending the $$! We will be back! Dietary restrictions: Lots of gluten free options!

Humo is hands down the best restaurant in Kelowna. Chef Kai is worth traveling for, I promise you. I ve had almost everything on the menu and you will not be disappointed. The bartender Spencer is also a bombshell and will make your experience exceptional. 10/10

Since moving out West I ve been craving food that is both inventive and serves incredible quality to match. Humo is both of these things 10 fold. Their menu is on par with some of the best restaurants I ve eaten at. I just wanted to taste more! Cocktails match the quality of food and incredible vibe. All I want I know is - when can you fit me in again?!

Overall tasty foods and amazing service, and city park view. But menu is quite fusion, not actually Japanese authentic, for what an Izakaya should be.

A gorgeous waterfront restaurant with a fun, thoughtful menu and fantastic service.

Brilliant little restaurant close by the waterfront with a terrific view. Authentic fusion style cuisine with shareable menu items. We had Hokkaido scallops, cooled Wagyu steak dish, smoked chicken, grilled veggies, blueberry saké (crème brûlée), and some chocolate dessert which was phenomenal. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly and passionate about their work. Everything is made in house.

Omg,what a great place to eat. Atmosphere is outstanding and the waiter Yannick did an amazing job of explaning the food and serving us with a big smile. Now the food....everything tasted so good like having a dinner date in heaven. Portions might be on the smaller side but this gives your stomach room to explore one more dish. Overall the best dining experience in Kelowna. We will be back!

Incredible food, creative cocktails and the vibe is on point! Beautiful interior with a view of the lake. If you are dining out in the Okanagan this place is a must visit so do yourself a favour and check this gem out! We ve been several times and the service is always impeccable, with genuinely happy staff. Highly recommend the seared scallops, pork taco and adobo chicken and we can t wait to try more!

We had a wonderful meal at Humo Izakaya! It was our first visit, and we came to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant is absolutely stunning in a lovely location. All of the staff who took care of us were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The food was excellent, with a diverse selection. One of our family members is gluten free, and there were many excellent options for them. The drinks menu was innovative and interesting, including some exciting new items from the Okanagan. We cant wait to visit again!

Makenzie was outstanding. Such care and attention to our table and the dietary restrictions our group had. Detailed explanation of every dish and drink. Exceptional and unique flavours that also were beautifully plated.

I m so happy Kelowna finally has an amazing restaurant like this - it was much needed. By far the best food we ve had in the area. Very creative menu items, great cocktails, awesome service and a cool environment. The Asian fusion was very interesting and delicious. Everything was made in house. I highly recommend the duck wings!!

Wife and I had brunch here on Sunday and we were super pleased with the experience. Room was really well designed. The food was an interesting take on common brunch dishes but delicious! I recommend the Karaage Chicken and Waffles. Its a bit pricey so be prepared to spend a bit more but overall great meal!

This was our first visit to Humo and we will return! The service was exceptional. Very attentive and thoughtful. The location and space is wonderful with views of Okanagan Lake and a warm inviting decor that s well ventilated and bright. Patio seating, or close to it, is ideal. The menu appealed to us prior to visiting because of its interesting blend of Asian and South American fusion. The execution was super. We liked if not loved each and every dish we ordered. Highlights and musts: - duck wings. Wow! Meaty, unctuous, flavourful. - bone marrow tacos. Wow! Tacos served w a canoe cut, roasted marrow bone. Do a luge after! -Korean short ribs. What a great meal / entree to share! Great portion. - drumroll please UNI UDON CARBONARA! See photo. It s amazing. (However while the chicharron looks great on it, I d replace with a more substantial piece of fried portk skin from the belly as these light ones get soft too quickly). Nice wine & sake list. The cocktails menus included many interesting concoctions. We ordered four different ones. They were nice light sipping and well blended but all lacked a backbone or base structure of alcohol. While balance was cited as the reason, I feel they still could use some reworking. Thanks Humo. What a great evening we had!

If youre looking for a basic burger, go somewhere else. If you want to be transported to somewhere else, come here. Outstanding service and explanations by Alex! All 3 of us are world travelers and were wowed with every single bite and we ordered 2/3 of the menu. Yummy sake pairings (and I dont even like sake)! Wow! Wow! Wow! Its a must do from now on every single trip I make from the Island and for my Lake Country friends, probably monthly haha! Dont drive through Kelowna without stopping here. Dont be intimated by the menu folks. Learn, enjoy and listen. Your taste buds will thank you.

Nice new restaurant for Kelownas downtown. We wanted to try the Tomahawk steak but would have had to wait an hour to eat so we chose a bunch of appies and small plates to try out and were very pleased. The food was excellent but dont expect to fill up on a budget. Its definitely a little more expensive but a good spot for a date night.

Brunch was to die for. I had the chilaquiles and was not disappointed. The flavour was amazing! My friend had a pork belly taco and a fish taco and absolutely loved her food as well. We rounded it off with some hibiscus lemonade that was both tart and refreshing. Beautiful atmosphere, great wait staff, amazing food! Looking forward to our next meal here!

We were initially impressed with the decor and menu. However, the owner (Alexa) was horrendous. After waiting nearly an hour for our meals, we enquired on the status of things since tables around us who came in after we did had already received their appetizers and entrees. Alexa came over and said, so you guys complained about the wait time? The ticket has only been in for half an hour . However, our server came and apologized for entering the meals in late. We respect his ownership and honesty so we tipped him generously. However, Alexa was rude, accusatory, and failed to check with her team about internal errors. Instead, the owner sassed our group , and we will never return due to her blame on the customers rather than being a sufficient manager for her team.

We went all out and ordered the PEI beef charcoal grilled and smoked tomahawk. So good! So good! So good! Well worth it. Service was excellent on a busy night. Great table by the window and our drinks were outstanding (recommend the matcha Mocktail).

Honestly this has to be one of my new favourite spots in the Okanagan. Such a great variety of unique options. All the cocktails were so good and I would definitely recommend the lamb ribs they were amazing.

Omg, everything about this place was AMAZING. It had a bunch of unique fusion foods that were to die for (we ended up getting a bunch of appetizers). Our server was absolutely lovely, and its atmosphere is just right. It is on the more expensive side, just to make you aware, but if youre visiting, its totally worth it. Definitely will go back if Im back in the area.

We recently were attended Humos Modest Wine Event with 5 course dinner. It was an amazing experience, the food was absolutely amazing and the wine pairings made the experience even that much more enjoyable.

Have been a customer more then handful of times, each time with a large cheque that was tough to justify but usually was able to look past due to good ambience, service and experience. Tonight left such a strong taint on my view of this establishment that I refuse to return. After ordering an outrageously priced, poor excuse for a wagyu tomahawk steak, something which now upon reflection might be fitting to feed my dog. Our table could not finish, so we asked for 2 boxes to split the remainders. After paying, (tipping) and packing the boxes getting ready to go, a disrespectful server who s name I do not know as she was not our server, came to collect our empty plates and left the remark asking if we had a dog. At first I was caught off guard, I asked her to repeat herself. She clearly doesn t value this restaurant or her job much, as she proudly repeated her question if we had a dog to feed the bone from our overpriced wagyu tomahawk steak. Not only did she disrespect us with her nasty attitude, she disrespected the establishment which she works at, comparing their most high end offering to dog food. Why on earth would an employee in the right mind approach a table with boxed food, and then reference to the boxed food as something to feed our dog? This is poor workplace behaviour and honestly just an embarrassment on behalf of the restaurant. The wagyu you serve isn t wagyu. You re not Vancouver quality to charge Vancouver prices. All you had was your service and ambience, and with one foul employee you ve tarnished that, and all the future business i would ever refer. You can guarantee I will push far away. By the way, I left your wagyu tomahawk leftovers at your steps, if any of your employees have dogs feel free to feed them to them. Clearly your own employees have no problems comparing your best offerings to dog food. Trash experience. Doesn t even deserve the 1 star but I had no choice. 0 wasn t an option. Way over priced, bad drink menu, poor food choices. Forced to pick an item that s way over priced that you won t enjoy. Wow, I have eaten at hundreds of restaurants over the past 30 years and as I told my wife this would easily rank in the top 3. Thank you for bringing your skill set to Kelowna, it is really great to have such a fine dining establishment. The servers were also fantastic and KNEW what they were talking about. My friend and I visited this place while I was back in Kelowna. The food is amazing - I invite you to look up their menu! A genuine fusion of Japanese and Mexican delights - I wanted to try everything, and Ill be honest, there were two things on the menu that I had NO IDEA what Id be getting! That may seem unsettling, but I live trying new things and I have very limited experience with Japanese fare. Julian looked after us, and without a doubt, he is far and away the BEST SERVER I HAVE EVER HAD in my lifetime! He was super informative, made sure we knew what we were getting, described how to eat each dish, and would inobtrusively glide in to wipe up any drips or spills that we had on the table. Hes a TEN star Vegetarian options: Vegan and vegetarian options Dietary restrictions: Gluten free

Humo changes my idea of the whole Downtown Kelowna, it s a place I would expect to find in Milan or LA. Intriguing concept impeccably executed. Dishes like Udon Carbonara or Miso risotto are so far from my comfort zone and delicious. Wine list is made with love. I felt contaminated by this beauty. Thank you Alex and Chef Kai.

If you don t know how to make a pozole please consider removing it from your menu. What we got was tomato soup with chicken and when we brought this up nothing was done or said. Really expensive and disappointing

Probably the best meal in the Okanagan or even BC that I have eaten. Alex and Kai have created a great restaurant with awesome staff and then have the best food possible. Kais work in the kitchen is magical. I had always heard it was some sort of Fusion place. Its much more than that! They take the best from around the world and create wonderful dishes that we get to enjoy here in the Okanagan. IF you are within an hour of Kelowna or visiting make sure to add this place to your MUST GO TO RESTAURANT. You wont be disappointed. Also try the desserts because their pastry chef rocks!! Went on a date here the other evening. It is a interesting place as far as menu options go. Cocktails are interesting. Kinda of a twist on the normal. The food was delicious. We just picked on the tapas. Was filling and enjoyable. Staff was friendly and professional. Many gluten and vegan options. Worth a stop for dates.. family...or events. prices are reasonable for what you recieve.

Nothing but wonderful things to say about this place. The decor is very tastefully done. The service from Alex was fantastic and the Food, oh the food. It was outstanding. The Miso Black Cod was even better than Nobu (one of my favorite restaurants on the planet). Highly recommend for a Date night, or even if you just want something different. You will not find anywhere else like this in town. This is my new favorite restaurant in Kelowna. Edit. Went back again and everything once again was fantastic. The muscles, the Scallops and of course the Miso Black Cod. Everything was amazing.

Amazing experience this evening! Had the opportunity to visit and have some cocktails, the Pork Belly Taco, Octopus Carpaccio, Scallops and the Cajeta for dessert - highly recommend! Everything was delicious in terms of flavour, not sickeningly filling but great quality to enjoy the tapas plate, excellent serving sizes and try different dishes! The miso butter with the scallops was absolutely delicious; was ready to drink the miso butter! The food menu and drink selection menu and recommendations provided were excellent! Had an Elderflower/orange G&T to start for Beverages, followed by a Dirty Vodka Martini and High Tea cocktail. Not overly sweet, all refreshing and light! Definitely coming back again to try the rest of the menu and for the cajeta again!
