281 Lawrence Ave, Kelowna, BC V1Y 6L2, Canada
Chef driven Canadian bistro in the heart of downtown Kelowna. Featuring modern version of classic comfort food and the original hip hop brunch.
100/10 service. Ordered for takeout and paid online. When I got there, the door was locked and there was a sign for a private event on the door. They clearly forgot to turn off online ordering and my order slipped through. The staff saw me walk up to the door, but I didn’t knock or try to get their attention because I didn’t want to disturb the private event. Before I left, they came out to see if I needed help. I told them about the online order, and asked if they could just refund the order because I didn’t know they had a private event. They checked with the kitchen and had my food in 5 minutes. They truly went above and beyond while they had a Private event happening. I’m beyond blown away. Thank you! Also the food was 100/10. Macaroni and cheese is sublime.
I found this restaurant using the NEO map. Krafty Kitchen + Bar truly stands out as one of Kelowna’s exceptional dining experiences. This farm-to-table restaurant, known for its commitment to quality and community, offers an impressive menu that showcases the best of local, seasonal ingredients. Every dish feels vibrant and thoughtfully prepared, making it easy to taste the freshness and dedication behind each bite. The owner, Chris, takes service to a whole new level. His attention to detail and genuine passion for creating memorable experiences ensure that every guest feels welcomed and well taken care of. It’s clear that Chris has cultivated an atmosphere where superior service is a priority; his team is friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, enhancing the already fantastic dining experience.
A nice dinner out. Solid service, a louder atmosphere, and a menu that makes you feel like the options are worth the money. Perfect for celebrations with close friends.
I do not usually do reviews but this was over the top. It was a hot day and was boiling hot inside with only one AC running so asked for ice from server. She kept coming back to us with a "water is cold enough spiel". Had to finally tell her that we were asking for ice and not water that she thinks is cold enough which it wasn't. I dont know why it's so hard for her to just bring us ice. Ordered the akon and eggs and I understand they grill the toast but did it have to be this burnt? 😳 not even edible.
Wow wow wow! What an incredible brunch. The potatoes were the best I’ve ever had. Wow. I’m speechless. Farm to table at its best, portion size was amazing, so fresh and delicious.
Very good place to enjoy a nice dish. Although the catch of the day on the menu was "cod" and a little on the salty side cooked, I don't believe it loses the merits of a 5 star place to eat a good meal.
Me and my partner went for his birthday and we could have not been happier with the place we chose. We went for the tasting menu while sitting at the bar and it was the best decision. We watched the chef and his team make each of our dishes and it was a phenomenal experience. We also got bison tartare and it was by far the best tartare I’ve had. *Clap clap* chef ;)
Had a delicious lunch on the patio. Ordered the Fried chicken sandwich and the Buffalo Bowl. Very nice presentation of the meals. The chicken in the sandwich was a bit dry, but the bowl was a big hit with the melange of flavours. Found the food to be priced on the higher end for the serving sizes received. Red wine by the glass was exceptionally pricey. Went with the waiters recommendation for wine and was shocked at the price when we got the bill.
We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Krafty for their final dinner service, Im sorry to see them go as Ive only had the opportunity to visit twice but they made an impression. Excellent food, great cocktails, and awesome service. I wish the owner and his staff all the best in their next adventure.
Food: Unfortunately we had to send our pizza back because it was undercooked. Service: Our waiter, Cole, was excellent. He handled our situation very diplomatically and he had a very lively fun personality. He did not take the return of the pizza personally. If you are ever at this restaurant, I highly suggest that you request Cole, as your server. The manager also came over and presented us a discount. That was very nice. Atmosphere: We had comfortable seating and a lovely view outside the large window.
That food was sooo good said everyone at the table. Sarahs service and character is absolutely lovely as well! Too bad the place is closing but hope to see the restaurant comes back real soon!
Been a regular since it opened over 10 years ago. Very sad that it closing. Looking forward to what Chris does next.
Nice cozy restaurant for a date night. Service was a bit slow.
At Krafty Kitchen + Bar, the Shafty Burger isnt just a meal its a revelation. Biting into that house-ground beef chuck, rich with smoky cheddar and topped with crisp buttermilk slaw, feels like meeting a friend who just gets you. The Millionaire s Sauce, with its luxurious tang, pulls everything together like a punchline that lands just right, while the house-made brioche bun holds it all with effortless ease. This burger doesn t just satisfy; it lingers, like a story you ll want to retell. At $28, it s an experience worth savouring, each bite full of the care and craft that makes Krafty Kitchen + Bar feel as memorable as it does satisfying. If you re looking for a meal that leaves an impression, this is it.
We had the pleasure of sitting at the bar with the bartender J. Food was outstanding and J made us feel right at home. The happy hour poutine was over-the-top amazing - special thanks to the chef!
Was going to go there for lunch.. I was told they were closing at 2pm to get ready for supper rush...I said what...wow...what a joke.. never heard of a place closing at 2pm and reopening at 5pm for supper....this is kinda strange.. Im glad I will never go there
I come here every year for my birthday, and they never disappoint! If it s your first time and you re looking for an unforgettable dining experience, I highly recommend trying one of their 5-course meals. Every dish is incredible, you won t want the courses to end.
First night visiting was yesterday, between the alluring vibe of the room, the engaging kind chats with Justin and Chris, it was a completely top shelf experience- did i mention the CLASSICS menu option. Outstanding Bison Tartar, ( wow) deviled eggs, chicken over Waldorf/ best meal in ages :-)
A breath of fresh air between aged muscles of Eldorado and dry duck of Bouchons. Classic European dishes are made to perfection with local ingredients. Very appealing yet balanced presentation. If you are in Kelowna and want to actually have great experience eating good quality food then this is a place to go.
My wife and I love heading here on Sunday for the hip hop brunch. Love the food and the atmosphere. We have a couple young kids and if you sit inside sometimes the music can be a bit too loud (hence the 4stars) but I suppose you could ask them to turn it down a bit. If you sit outside the music isn t as loud and perhaps a better choice if you prefer a quieter environment. I strongly recommend this place for their hip hop brunch for both locals and tourists. A must-try local hot spot. Perhaps a bit of a hidden gem
My husband took me out for dinner tonight. When he made the reservation they asked if it was a special occasion? He said yes it s her birthday. The waiter never offered a free coffee or desert or anything. I don t understand why they even asked that question? What was the point? I was disappointed in the menu selection tbh with you but I went because my husband wanted to go. Personally, I won t be back. Just my opinion of course.
Horrible place after I paid for parking and given high reviews to eat here. Would not allow me to order.
Staff are amazing, very knowledgeable, and everything is made in-house and locally sourced. The food is outstanding. A must!!! Vegetarian options: Probably the best Ive seen Dietary restrictions: Vegan Wheelchair accessibility: Very good
Absolute adventure of a meal, highly recommend the chefs tasting menu. In anticipation for every bite. Thanks for the service and accommodation
Came in for dinner and we had great food, great drink, great chat. Will be back and tell friends
Food is incredible but so unbearably HOT had to leave. Poor AC making it impossible to sit and enjoy a meal .. we were all sweating to death
Me and my wife came in for the 5 course meal and the wine pairing, Kash went above and beyond to make us stunning cocktails and Sai cooked some of the best dishes I have had in a long time. The wine were paired wonderfully. The atmosphere was very energetic and the team in back worked together like a fine tuned machine, it was very entertaining to watch professionals at work, we will come back soon!!!
Stellar dinner - everything was awesome
Online Orders! Dont do it. They do not fulfill or attempt to make any contact, they do not answer their phones after the fact. The manager is completely incompetent. He had no idea how his own business operates. He seemed unaware that his own restaurant has a website that takes online orders. Bizarre to say the least They claim theyve been having issues with their online orders, yet they are incapable of answering a telephone call after telephone call, leaving their customers hungry and unable to rectify the situation. I was forced to walk to the restaurant to make contact. How pathetic.
Sarah is the best! Thank you for an amazing experience
Ordered their duck which was good, but the rest of their food was less than up to par. My partner ordered the burger which cost $28 for what turned out to be a slider (they also did not ask how well they wanted the meat) and my friends got a risotto which turned out to be oatmeal. We also discovered rosemary stem in the risotto. So disappointed as we saw it had great reviews on TikTok and we paid so much money :((
We wanted to just pop in for a cocktail so we sat at the bar and had a great conversation with the Manager. We had a couple of glasses of Cava, which was on special for Happy Hour. We also shared an order of truffle fries, which were delicious. I am always worried that the truffle will be overpowering, but the flavours were very balanced in this case. Hubby chatted with the Manager about the art of making good espresso so the Manager made him a cup. The best that he tried while we visited Kelowna. I highly recommend checking this place out! Wheelchair accessibility: Very open space and easily accessible from the street.
Bad restaurant ever
Hip Hop brunch was good, they remix some brunch food names to be hip hop based and play hip hop music in the background. We booked a table of 8 and it was good for an hour (we didnt realize this), we were told the table had another booking and to take our time but they were clearly people waiting for the table.
Probably the best dining experience Ive had in Kelowna so far , had the bison tartar the beef carpaccio and a butchers block steak ! All fabulous with a really nicer server to boot !
Everything was beyond my expectations! Ordered the risotto, delicious! Drinks, desert & service impeccable! You gotta eat here!!
Nice atmosphere and delicious food
Nice place, limited food options, nice menu design and the food was really good (a bit pricey for the amount of food you get, but it s good food which is sometimes hard to find). Really clean and nice dishes, cutlery and glasses. The server was spot on, with attention to detail other than the fact that the bottle of white wine we ordered was not really cold. Giving 2 stars because the server attitude changed after we paid and she saw our tip was only $25. As if $25 is not enough no matter what you bill is. Doesn t hurt to say bye to the table you have just served as opposed to pretending they are invisible because they only tip $25. This tip thing is getting out of hands.
Food is delicious and carefully crafted.
Amazing place, amazing drinks, Amazing staff, ask Zach for the drinks specials and he wont disappoint!
Love the food!
All positives: unique and delishious food, fantastic service, cozy + modern dining area, and a spotless open kitchen
Our group of 6 had a nice Hip Hop brunch here recently. Good portions, great food and excellent service. And no worries if you do not like hip hop music, its barely noticeable in the background.
Very lovely staff! Welcoming and friendly. Great atmosphere On the other hand, food on the menu is not for everyone. Portions are small, compared to other places. I had buttermilk fried chicken with apple salad, I thought you cant go wrong with chicken. Boy was I wrong..Chicken on top of apples really was not enough..was lacking some sort of fries or rice or something. Plus it was a chicken thigh not a breast, it was fatty. Those apples mixed with cheese and walnuts did not help the situation. Would never re-order again.
Great restaurant and casual atmosphere
Highly recommended! Excellent cocktails & food (special shout-out to Chef Chris!). I very much look forward to returning the next time Im in Kelowna. Outstanding.
Beautiful restaurant with great cocktails and food.
Delicious food and drinks!
Our Daughter and her boyfriend highly recommended this place. So my wife and I decided to go with them last evening , and we were very very impressed. The food was absolutely amazing and so was our server Mikayla , thanks again for the good time look forward to our next visit.
Probably my favourite breakfast bowl ever! Such a great combo of flavours and the service was fabulous.
Oh my! This was hands down the best brunch bowl that I ve ever had! Every component was incredible - a definite must-try in Kelowna.
Brunch started off lovely, apart from the fact that I was served raw chicken in my bowl. The server attempted to reassure me that I wouldn t get sick from eating the chicken as it was brined, however with any common sense you d realize that brining chicken doesn t kill bacteria. Very poor remediation of the circumstance. There are plenty of other brunch options, go elsewhere!
My Wife and I popped in for Breakfast and ordered some Breakfast bowls didn t matter which one this Chef can cook. Thanks all for the great service.
First time customer. This was an experience! The service was exceptional & the food was incredible!! A fantastic way to celebrate Newyears...Cheers! Food
Great atmosphere, amazing drink and food menu that changes regularly. Awesome staff.
Amazing food, service and ambience! We would highly recommend this restaurant! We will be back!!
this food!!!! I dinned here over the weekend and had to try a bite of everyone at our tables food because everything looked fantastic. I couldnt even make one choice. Excellent menu and fun staff!
Hip Hop Brunch. The Regulator. IYKYK
What a perfect spot for amazing drinks and beautiful food. Our group with a number of dietary requirements were more than impressed with the variety of options. The staff was unbelievable as well!
Amazing dinner for my birthday. Great service (Kevin), really appreciated the advises on the wines and choice of food. Took the Bordeaux blend, lobster fritters and duo of lamb and it was amazing. Will be back :)
Nice ambiance with good food
Our first dinner in Kelowna and we were thoroughly impressed! We started with the halloumi and chorizo which was delicious. A little on the smaller size, but the big favours make up for that. For our main, we shared the truffle mac and cheese and the fried chicken. The chicken was great, but the mac and cheese was amazing. To cap things off, the service all evening was excellent. Big thank you to Matt for a great experience!
Love the hiphop brunch!
Love Krafty. Great food, great drinks. Go.
Bison tartare is to die for!!! So awesome!! thank you!!
Such good food!!
The service here was very friendly, the mezcal bramble was the best drink I had on this vacation & the risotto was just unreal!
Great cocktails and the appetizers are delicious
Amazing food, great atmosphere
Our experience at Krafty was wonderful! We went for a birthday lunch and everything was soooo tasty. The presentation, good portion size, and impeccable taste will have us coming back. Also, the sticky toffee pudding was unreal! Highly recommend Krafty!
50min wait with way too loud music for 10min plate .. 28 degree outside with no AC or fans
Great food and music - we went for hip hop brunch. Service was a bit slow but they may have been short staffed, and there were 3 stagettes while we were there. Overall, enjoyed and would go again Food : 5/5
Came in tonight for my birthday and had a wonderful experience. We ordered the seafood risotto, fried chicken & Strawberry shortbread cheesecake. The food was delicious and our server was so friendly and helpful. Excited to come back and try more of the menu!
Personable staff, very clean open kitchen. Worth the money, as the portion sizes are huge and made with delicious local ingredients.
Went to enjoy a breakfast with some of the lads. We sat down and were never served. Sat for 10 mins without being talked to, not the idea situation when trying to get some food and coffee.
We shared the beef carpaccio (with ginger and sesame). Then I had the porchetta with a chilli glaze, in a creamy Thai green curry sauce with black lentils. Best pulled pork I think I have ever had. Very inventive, (or have I led a sheltered life?). Absolutely delicious. Shame I cant take a good photo. Id definitely come back again, except I live in England.
The drinks I had were good! Sangria and empress new groove Server was great. Ordered the calamari to share with one other person but there was more potato then calamari. I think there was maybe 4 pieces of calamari, which was disappointing because it was really delish. But for that price, you should be giving more. The Caesar salad was not my thing, maybe someone else would enjoy. It was grilled so the lettuce lost its crunch and it was wilted. The seaweed in it did not go at all in my opinion. Overall maybe I just choose the wrong items! The place has potential.
Went to check out hip hop brunch. The food was good and the music was just what I had hoped. Our server was great and there was a decent little patio as well.
Breakfast is all fried food, rock music, very special match
Hands down best restaurant in Kelowna. Make sure you get the Devilled Eggs!! Food : 5/5
The food was excellent. The server was so friendly, she made our time very enjoyable.
Delicious breakfast! The 90s Playlist was awesome, and our server was very friendly. It was very busy, but we were seated very quickly. The patio is beautiful! I had the avocado toast, and I would definitely recommend it! Food
Went here for brunch and got the fried chicken bowl. It was good and the portion was reasonable. Great playlist of hip hop music. The server (Ben) was also pleasant to us.
Try it!
Excellent, excellent, excellent. Cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. We happened upon it as we were walking our ginormous dog down the street, and we were able to eat outside with him just outside the enclosure. We all loved the duck fat popcorn! Were still talking about it. Their tapas style plates are unbelievably good. Cocktails are incredibly creative and delicious. Our waiter was amazing, we took him up on at least three of his recommendations for other things to do and see while we were in Kelowna. The owner of the restaurant came out several times to talk to us, we appreciated her generosity with her time and her excellent food. We would absolutely go back next time were there.
Unbelievably good food, drinks and atmosphere. I got the burger and got it dirty and flirty from what Im told the first person to do so. Unreal flavor. All the cocktails are unique and delicious as well as the desserts. Its worth the money you spend here
First rate cuiskne Everything served to us was from starter to dessert were delicious. The halibut was cooked to perfection! Kudos to the chef Alex for the wonderful meal and the rest of staff for top rated service. Highly recommend.
Food and service were great here. Staff was very friendly and personable, had a great time
5 stars all the way. Im a total foodie. Eating out is an experience for me. It brings me pleasure. And this place is top notch for sure. Everything was amazing. The flavors and the service. Fine dining in a chill atmosphere. We enjoyed the carpaccio, the sesame crusted tuna, the bison and the risotto. Wish we had room for dessert but we were thoroughly stuffed after eating all that. We will be back. Now our #1 restaurant to eat at in Kelowna.
Horrible service!!!! Portions have been downsized as well.
Hip-hop brunch was excellent. Food was prepared quickly and it was delicious!
Tuna appetizer was delicious: perfectly cooked and salted. The sesame seeds not only provided a more complex dish but also added texture and crunchiness to it. Halibut was perfectly cooked and seared. Steamed vegetables were a nice and healthy accompaniment. Service was exceptional.
I fly out here from Madagascar every year just to have the best apple cheddar Waldorf in world!!
This restaurant was recommended by one of our friends, so we decided to go there while in town and we were really impressed! Ben, our server, was very nice, welcoming and friendly. He took the time to answer all of our questions and made sure everything was to our liking. The food itself was also wonderful, both the presentation and the taste! We ordered six different dishes and we loved them all. Our top favorites were the Haida Gwaii Halibut, Pork Belly Porchetta, and the Chickpea Crusted Eggplant if you re looking for a veggie option. Desserts were great too. Definitely check this place out if you re in the area!
Really nice food in a nice setting. Matt the server was top notch. Had the bison tartare, some burgers and Mac and cheese. Clean plates all round. Its quite pricey but the food was really good, only complaint would be that they only had one beer available and the wine list was all pretty expensive. Considering how many breweries there are in Canada I cant see how a restaurant can have only one beer available.
It was a really hot day, so we didnt have a big appetite. We only ordered the beef carpaccio and the general tso tofu, plus the cucumber soda and strawberry vanilla smash. The beef carpaccio was pretty good, very appetizing but the general tso tofu was not up to standard. The tofu and broccoli were not crispy enough. As for the drinks, the cucumber soda had too much syrup in it and was too sweet. Not as refreshing as the name suggested. Service was a little disappointing. The saving grace was the front concierge who ended taking our orders, serving our drinks and even getting us our bill because our server didnt seem very interested in us as he was busy entertaining the table with at least 8 pax. I ended up tipping the concierge in cash instead of adding it to my credit card bill to ensure that it goes to him and not my server.
The food was amazing and so were the cocktails. I cant wait to go back!
Dined here twice now to give it a fair shot, and unfortunately was very disappointed on our second visit. We came for Fathers Day brunch, and the first strike was that despite having many families with little ones dining they didnt have any high chairs. Not a great look if youre open to families joining you. Second strike was very slow service... I think it took the Server at least 20 minutes to just acknowledge us at our table and get us water. I get that it might have been a busy morning, but it was all reservations so youd think theyd know how many people were going to be seated, and plan staffing accordingly? Third strike was the menu... we found it laughable that when I asked to order the all about veggies benny, I was asked if I wanted eggs with it (for an extra cost)... I thought the definition of eggs benny was with eggs, so I was pretty thrown off. Finally I decided on brunch bowl, thinking it would be as described on the menu. When I finally received my order, I noticed that the hollandaise had a bit of a bite to it, and when I asked the Server, she told me it had some kind of hot sauce (?) added to it. I feel like this is something you should mention on the menu, as not everyone likes spicy food. In the end, all would have been forgiven had the meal been unforgettable.. but sadly it was just one that I have just been trying unsuccessfully to forget.
Made 10am reservation for hip-hop brunch. We re not new, we expected loud music to be playing and likely to be mildly neglected in the way supercool restaurants tend to. Place was empty except for two tables just finishing up. Seated underneath a tinny sounding speaker blasting so loud we couldn t talk. Asked to be moved. Seated directly under the even worse sounding speaker. Again, restaurant was empty. Explained that we d like to find something not directly under the speaker and pointed out a table a little farther away. Was told instead we could have the still seated customer s table once they finished and it was cleaned. In an empty restaurant. Had been seated for 10-12 mins at this point, not even an offer of coffee. Other customers left, leaving the restaurant completely empty save for us, server came to clear and wipe their table. Before he got started with that, he began to help another waitress and a hostess organize a table for a large group that was expected in a bit. He started cleaning and moving other tables, leaving us coffeeless and orderless after 20 mins under the blaring speaker that was playing ain t no fun by snoop dogg for the third time in a row at about 110 dB. In an empty restaurant we excused ourselves and left, to which he looked surprised.
What a special spot in downtown Kelowna! I was visiting from out of town and wanted to find a restaurant that offered locally sourced produce/farm to table style. We walked in a bit early for our reso and sat at the bar which was a total treat! The open kitchen was like theatre as we watched the chefs create masterpieces. First off let me say that we had a Cesar ( drink not salad) and it was literally the best I have ever had! The bartender explained that they recently participated in a competition and it shows. The spices, hotsauce and Clamato are all house made and so flavourful! We enjoyed deviled eggs ( when was the last time you saw that on a menu? So fun!) the heirloom tomatoes were pure magic and such a fresh palate cleanser. The fried halloumi was so tasty but the star was the buttermilk fried chicken on a bed of local apples, cheddar and walnuts. Wowee that was special chicken. Crispy, juicy and not over breaded. The wine list is robust and offers local gems. Prices by the glass quickly had me doing wine math and we opted for the bottle. When we walked in and so those dreaded metal chairs ( you know the ones I m talking about, I was nervous that o would be uncomfortable and that the room would be so loud but much to my surprise the room felt cozy and all of the wood helped dampen the sounds from the chairs. We had such a wonderful evening and highly suggest you check out this charming little spot. Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian friendly options. I m not sure about vegan options
Service was excellent, as was the food. The jerk bison and caesar salad were fantastic. Did not appreciate being served the calamari only to find out that potatoes made up most of the plate though....felt like a greasy move.
The worst experience ever Not recommend at all, the waiter was in my personal space and not responsive The food won as the worst food I ever tasted. Food : 1/5
Staffs are super busy. Ginger beef carpaccio tasted amazing. Not recommend Butchers block steak
I have been to Krafty a number of times. It used to be excellent, but in my opinion it has gone down hill somewhat. If you like paying exorbitant prices for small portions, youll love it. Still a great environment and I recommend the brunch. Skip for dinner and go somewhere else. Food
Well thought out dishes - best dinner Ive had in Kelowna hands down.
Ridiculous expensive. 30.00 hamburgers and no reasonable wine. Caesar salad needs to be toned down, too many fancy additions that are not necessary
Had a wonderful experience here. Food was great and left feeling full. Price point was fair and did not feel overcharged. Cocktails were yummy. Staff was friendly, accommodating and Knowledgeable. Pleasant place to sit at and outdoor patio looked comfortable and had a good view of the action on the street.
Booked our staff Christmas party a couple of weeks ahead (for 6 people) and have really been excited to try this place (as were those who were invited). They called out of the blue today to cancel the reservation as they have since taken a booking for a private function. Pretty lame.
Easily the best brunch in Kelowna. Staff, food, vibe, everything.
Amazing experience on their re-opening. Service was still top notch, friendly, and food was incredible.
I visit Kelowna about 3-4 times per year and Krafty is always on my go-to list. I try a different menu item each time and have never been disappointed. Great brunch too!
Went for the first time with some friends this past Friday and we were so delighted with our whole experience. Firstly, our server Kevin was top notch, in service, charisma, and recommendations. Our table decided to do the 5 course Wagyu Ribeye dinner that was offer that night and it was fantastic! My personally favourite being the Scallops in a bed of bisque. That should be on the everyday menu and I would be back weekly for it !! The atmosphere was cozy and lively, and the menu was broad with variety.
Very cute small restaurant, I love that you can watch the chefs cook. The menu is definitely on the smaller side which some may love and some may not - portions are also not huge. However, this place feels like a treat to come to, the food is delicious, the ingredients are fresh, and they have a gorgeous cocktail menu. Would recommend making a reservation during peak hours.
We visited Krafty for the hip hop brunch and again to dine in the patio outside. We had great service and the food was good, however we just felt it was over priced.
Service was great. Food was basic. The risotto did not met my expectations. It was more a bunch of ingredients that did not have a link to each other. Tasteless. For the burger, it was dry and not surprising. For the truffle fries well just not good. Got served simply the fries and then they took it back and added a bunch of truffle oil which did not feel natural and was soaking in it. The bison was good if I did not hit a spot full of spice. I honestly think that the kitchen needs a step-up. Food wise not great.
Extremely friendly service, fresh and delicious meals, and large portions. Will be back next time I visit.
I was extremely disappointed when I went for lunch with my sister last week. Aside from our server NONE of the staff were wearing masks. Staff cooking in the open kitchen, staff serving customers face to face at the bar no masks!!
Very slow service and mediocre food. Our appetizer was from the small plate menu, no kidding, it was minuscule and certainly not enough for even 2 to share but still $16? Waited for over an hour for our mains and, although one in our party enjoyed their fish, the rest was average at best. After waiting for over 30 minutes for our dessert, we cancelled paid our bill and left. Wouldn t return nor recommend
Visited Couple of times, really enjoyed, love the interior and their customer service is really great!
Came to visit kelowna from Vancouver for a couple of nights and was really excited to come back to our favourite brunch place, just 2 of us. After a lot of back and forth with the host, he decided that the wait for 2 of us was going to be 1 hour 45 mins eve though the whole bar was empty as well as the long communal table. We work in the industry and we realized that was not a realistic wait time. We just got into another place and Krafty called to tell us we had a spot. Only 15 mins after we were there. Had we been told 15-20 mins at the start we would have just waited. Pretty disappointed, suggest more training is needed for the host stand.
This place is amazing. Great service from Tayler and the food and drinks were delicious! I would definitely recommend and come back to
Amazing meal, service and atmosphere
Great service! Fabulous food.
Definitely crafty food in a cosy setting. The server suggested sharing so we ordered 2 small and 2 large plates between 3 people. Octopus, Elk carpaccio, lingcod with artichokes and capers, and seafood risotto were all plated well and flavorful. Worth returning to try other items.
Excellent food and service! Thank you Alfredo!
Butter milk chicken, wago steak , cocktails are so tasty!
Good place, evening started wonderful, but service got quite slow by end of meal.
Enjoyed the cheese fondue. Super service.
My girlfriend and I had such a wonderful experience in this restaurant. We went with a res on a Saturday, already almost full. Ambience was very pleasant, their food program is on point, the service was exceptional. The food presentation and the taste were just nice treats in the mouth. Wine selections are very good too! Great BC vqa wines in the menu!
TLDR: Its good, check it out! My husband and I were looking for a restaurant that offered a chefs table and a quick Google search lead us to this one so we made a reservation. We later learned that they no longer offer the chefs table experience, but were willing to do one for us for $190 per person. We politely declined but were still excited to visit the restaurant because of the great looking menu, dedication to sourcing local ingredients, casual atmosphere, and encouraging reviews. We were not disappointed. We were joined by friends and, between the four of us, we had the foie gras parfait, beef tartare, dungeness crab risotto, and smoked duck gnocchi. Everything was absolutely delicious, but the two stars of the show (IMO) were the foie gras and gnocchi. They also offer a great selection of wines, beers and cocktails. I think this will become our go-to restaurant when visiting Kelowna.
Server was great..way over price ..30 dollars for a burger..ask for well done..came out burnt..was taken off the bill..
Had a great experience here! The small restaurant had a nice cozy layout. Smaller, curated menu with the main meals ranging from 28-41 dollars. We got the crab risotto and duck gnocchi. They were both fairly small portions but the flavours were great. Definitely more of a special night out kind of dinner, and not a daily dine in place but we enjoyed it nonetheless!
Krafty for the WIN. Pretty much anything on the menu is unique, delicious and worth a repeat. A must visit dining experience.
Fantastic experience! Great cocktails, the duck gnocchi was a top five all time dish.
Great food and service! Cool atmosphere
Always impressed with the food!! Not impressed with the fact that they did not have a highchair for my 2 year old. They accomodate you going on their patio with your pet. Your server will sit there and play woth the pet at the next table - slightly unsanitary but they will not accomodate a family with a child. Luckily i had my stroller i. The car so she was able to sit in that. But those take up quite a bit of room and can be uncomfortable, even make things more inconvenient for the server and tables next to you. Highly disappointed and now we wont be going there anymore since our toddler will not be able to have a proper seat. Sad
Best breakfast potatoes in town!! Service was excellent. Bennies were good but one small beef - medium poached eggs for the bennies (we like them soft - they didnt ask) and a little skimpy on the hollandaise. Music was great but pretty loud. Hard to talk.
The food was unbelievable and with service to match. A must visit when in Kelowna.
Great place for Brunch in Kelowna. We ordered different bowls, all of them amaizing and very filling. Sin and husband finished but I could not. Kindly staff, great ambiente, we dinned insided but have a great patio. Next time we come for lunch, great wine and beers options. Great place to eat in kelowna.
Absolutely the best brunch among other stuff :) in Kelowna!!!
Absolutely amazing mac and cheese with beautiful presentation! The ambience and service was very well done too. Will definitely be coming back!
Get. The. Salted. Caramel. Custard. The thought of that dessert has been playing in my mind since I ate it. Wow. Everything else was also very very amazing. Duck gnocchi was stellar. So was the risotto.
Excellent food! Fantastic cocktails and a top tier staff! Could not recommend more!
Food is worth the money! I love their seafood risotto and they make amazing cocktails!
Wow, I had the pork belly and scallops. So yummy. Amazing flavour. Great service too. Cant wait to go back and try something else.
We have brunch there, the food quality is ok, but the service is so so so bad!!! we are leaded to a table in padio without umbrella, it is raining at that moment and they just leave us eat in the rain until we ask to move to a table with umbrella. The food wait time is approximately 45-50mins. It is definitely not a right place for hungry people.
Made a reservation several weeks ago for Sunday 11:30AM. We got to Krafty on time, and there was no seating made available to us. We waited for 10 minutes and finally got seated. Once we were seated, we waited for 20 minutes before getting water and a server. We had to ask the host to call us a server. Once we had our order taken (Lattes, and 2 brunch meals) we had to wait 40 minutes for our drinks and over an hour and a half for our food. Once we got our food, it was cold, and my meal was raw (chicken) and the pancakes were hard as rock. This place was highly recommended and it was a complete let down. Pro : the manager comped our entire meal
Service and food both solid 10/10s. Guacamole and chips came warm with 2 salsas...and not too salty. Beef dip was tender and tasty. Pad Thai was incredibly fresh and tasty. The cooks here should train the King Taps cooks!
Had a terrible time when I was here with our group of 8. Customer service was completely lacking. It took a good 15 minutes before we got our drink order taken, and they didnt show up until our appetizers got served. No one checked up on our table or refilled our waters. Food was just very salty overall. It was a common complaint that we all had between all the entrees. The only good thing was the tartare. I guess they didnt really care to give us service since were a large group and gratuity was already included in the bill.
Had high hopes of the hip hop brunch at Krafty. Unfortunately it took us almost an hour to order our food. We felt forgotten, to the point that someone came to our table asking us if we were ready for our bill because we were sitting at an empty table. We hadn t even ordered yet! When our servers friends were seated beside us they were able to order and get their food in the time it took us to get someone s attention to tell them that we had been forgotten about.
Delicious brunch will be back
Kraftys staff were able to fit us in for brunch on Saturday morning, which was a feat in itself - not counting the two dogs and baby/stroller. The patio was a bit of a tight fit for us, and the drinks were a bit delayed, but otherwise it was a great experience. The Benedict and breakfast bowl that we had were excellent, and the staff were so helpful and accommodating (we broke a glass accidentally). Also a great location close to Bernard and the lakefront. Worth a shot if you have the chance!
nice food good to go
Very disappointed. Took 2 hours to get through a meal and dessert. My steak, ordered medium rare came well done. Best they could do (aside from waiting probably another hour for another) was 15% off my meal. Mandatory 18% gratuity because we had a large party... of 6 people.
This is one of my favorite places to visit when we are in Kelowna. The atmosphere of the space is beautiful and the patio is so great! Each time, the staff have been super friendly and willing to make some great drink/food recommendations if youre unsure. Weve had so many absolutely delicious plates here ! Recently we took a group of friends here who are die-hard Earls/Cactus Club lovers and they all loved the food and experience at Krafty Kitchen + Bar. Highly recommend!!
Great innovative menu. Food is wonderful and presentation was well done. Mat, our server was the best. Explained the menu well, very attentive. Nice patio. Well worth the short walk of the main strip.
Lovely dining experience. I got the duck gnocchi - and it was really good. The price was a bit on the higher end, but the whole ambiance of the place and the quality of my plate were well worth it. The wait staff was also really kind and helpful, and accommodating to my allergies, which was much appreciated. Great spot for date night.
good brunch
It was okay, restaurant was really hot there was no ventilation. Got the smoked salmon eggs benedicts bowl for lunch it was alright . Didn t pay $18 for a bowl of potatoes, it was literally a bowl of potatoes and maybe like 3 pieces of smoked salmon.
Delicious. Ordered Canadian offishal and hotcakes breakfast
Nothing special.... good service ..... too expensive for certain items. Clean.... outdoor area is nice !!
Sunday Brunch was fun. The hip-hop music was cool and the breakfast bowl was yummy. The service was pretty slow which put a damper on the whole experience. We got seated and didnt get water or menus for about 10 minutes. Then after they dropped off our food no one came back to ask us if we wanted condiments or more water.
Amazing food literally pars the best we have in our home town that is our top choice. And the server Taylor was amazing! My partner has dietary restrictions and they were super accommodating to her. Highly recommend this place extremely friendly staff and a very talented chef! Hats off to this place! They earned 5 stars all the way!
Always love our experience at Krafty! Service is consistent and the food is soo delicious. Their rotating menu, and innovative use of local unique flavours will have your mouth watering! I m always quick to confidently recommend this downtown gem.
Krafty Kitchen time and time again just never disappoints! This place is always consistent, fresh, flavourful, and vibrant. One of the top restaurants in Kelowna and personally my favourite. It s the place that when people out of town ask me where they should go for dinner, I say Krafty.
Tired of the dreaded boring typical breakfast? This is my new go to! Only a 1hr 1 min flight away!!! Coming from YEG. Ordered these 3 items with a group of 3 and the portions were amazing. The mind blowing flavors with a few dropped beats with the Hip Hop Music (weekend HIP HOP) (Local and organic ingredients mixed with well treated staff who are very attentive, makes for what other places should strive for. Order line up . Truffle On My Mind (home now and still think about it.) The Canadian Official. ( HMMM The Ham) Drop It like Its Hotcake (more is better!) I dont normally go with a morning hair on the dawg but this place makes it feel just right! Reserve ahead. Hope to head back in a month or so. What are you waiting for?!
Hip hop brunch bowls and bennies are simply the best!!
Just all right. Unfortunately there is nothing really special for us.
Always a great time at KRAFTY. Staff are wonderful. We always get the tofu appetizer, vegan ceaser salad is to die for. This time they created a pasta for us which was vegan and it was great. I appreciate the kitchen always accommodating us with our vegan options.
Although I hate the music they play (I call it all rappa crappa but I think its a sub-genre of that, maybe hip-hop, I dont know, Im a rocknroller, lol!), the food was so good I completely overlooked that perceived downfall and gave it five stars. Its otherwise a very classy place. I dined in Krafty Kitchens outdoor courtyard on a Sunday morning in late September with friends and family. The visual setting was entirely perfect, fenced off from the road with trellises, surrounded by fall colours on the foliage, the tables tastefully set, and happy people all around enjoying food and friendship. Staff were warm, professional, and attentive. All of the meals looked picture-perfect and everyone at my table was raving about theirs. Mine was the best eggs benedict I have ever experienced, complete with lox and a perfect salad topped with the tastiest tiny tomatoes. And although I generally avoid potatoes due to how they negatively affect my skin, I ate the crispy fried ones with no fear and no shame, picking every delectable crumb off my plate and savouring it all. This was a most exquisite dining experience and I urge you to splurge if you possibly can. Im dirt poor, and personal tastes in music aside, I would wholeheartedly return to Krafty Kitchen if ever the opportunity presented itself.
Never leave reviews but this place was incredible. Out from around Vancouver and was recommended this place for the Hip Hop Brunch. What a great experience for hip hop lovers and just in general, amazing food and service! Only complaint is you dont have a restaurant in the lower mainland!
Very nice design in this restaurant that makes you feel warm just being there. The chef is dialed in and serves well portioned and absolutely delicious food. The staff are polite, courteous, and well informed on the meals the chef is producing. Its predominantly an evening restaurant with the doors opening at 5pm. But trust me, you wont want to be late for a table.
Such a great brunch. All four meals were spot on and loving the 90s hip hop vibe. Craving my crab Bennie and the homemade chili sauce now.
Our server Naomi went above and beyond. Can t wait to go back. Music too loud, but energy electric. Positive experience overall.
Who in Kelowna has deviled eggs?? Krafty has such an amazing atmosphere and the food is top notch! Great team of hard working people that are doing it right. This place is everything that Kelowna is missing!
The breakfast was really good and the portions are really big. I couldnt finish my bowl. The service wasnt that good. The waiter did not checked on us and we had to wait for almost 30min to ask him for our bill. The music was really loud for such asmall place. Overall I liked the breakfast and will go back.
One of the cutest brunch spots I ve come across in a long time. Shoutout to our host/server who at first thought they were all booked up for brunch and then managed to squeeze us in as we were looking for a backup plan! There s something for everyone, veggie and vegan options, I went with the chicken breakfast bowl and would recommend, the blue cheese paired well with everything and I throughly enjoyed it! Plus, sparkling water an option next to still water as well, no choice but to stan. My partner quite enjoyed the 90 s hip-hop that played during our brekky, too! 10/10 would recommend for a nice brunch in Kelowna.
creative, yummy, cool dining room, serious covid passport check
Exceptional food and service. Highly recommend!
LOVE THE MUSIC The food was absolutely beautiful, the staff was so great. This place can get very busy so book a table to make sure you get a table. If youre in kelwona you need to get down here.
Fantastic for some comfort food on a cold November evening! The braised beef short rib was absolutely fantastic! I ll be back to have this again - I sure hope they don t take it off the menu. The oysters to start and a lovely bottle of red wine were also nice touches. Great experience!
I had the Mushroom Benedict, so goooood!
Great food, drinks and music. One of my favourite places in Kelowna.
Hip hop brunch was to die for! The best crispy potatoes too. At first I thought the portions looked small but it was the perfect amount and amazing quality.
Hip hop brunch: yes.
We had the 5 course meal service come and cook at our place for a Christmas party, hats off!! It was one the best experiences I have ever had Ben and Ashley did an amazing job!! Highly recommend trying this
