Birthday dinner for my fiancé exceeded our expectations! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a nice dinner and a good atmosphere. Service was excellent! Food and drinks were 10/10 Rooms

Had the brunch buffet. It was good What a difference a couple of weeks makes. I think they must have lost someone of importance because unfortunately it was atrocious today. Ill leave the five-star as is remembering how wonderful it was a couple of weeks ago. Sorry but I dont think at 200.00 for brunch Im going to try again.So we did give it another try and that will be the last time. The service is always very nice the place is very clean however value is definitely not there ! No roast beef and gravy. Its fatty brisket and bbq sauce. No crab no clams no mussels . Super boring and very small meats and cheese selection. All deserts are mini sized. Salads are uneventful. The one hot meat dish on offer was beef stew that was really potato stew and overly sweet to taste and overly thick. Why not put on something truly amazing ? Isnt that what it about ? Its all there for you to do it I dont get it ? Anyway I really gave it my best but I wont be back. Best of luck.

The Sunday brunch is definitely worth it and there is a wide variety of food to choose from. A true culinary delight .

Worst restaurant dining experience in a long, long time. Just left lakeside dining on 10/06/2024 at 5pm after talking to a manager that doesnt care about good service and I have to share this not great experience. I take my son here periodically for the patio and food. Today we ordered wings and the muscles. The wings: fantastic. The muscles: I ate 4-5 and sent them back they tasted very off and terrible. I cook muscles at home and I now when shellfish is off. The bartender was nice enough about it but nobody was apologetic. My gripe: I asked to speak to the manager. She was on the phone, but saw that I was asking about her. She saw that I was asking for her and we made eye contact. I waited. When she got off the phone she ignored me. I approached her and asked if she was the manager. Yes. I told her, and I quote, I just ordered the muscles and they were really off, you should not be selling these to anyone. yeah I told the kitchen. No apology, no sorry can I make your experience better. Why did I even bother to say anything. I used to hold this place in high regard, now I am so disappointed in my experience I will not be back. I thought the Nixons were a family that took pride in their establishments. I recommend that you not go here and look elsewhere, the food and service at Erica Jane is something I would recommend. One star, Lost a customer who used to love this place, and I will go out of my way to let everyone know this place has gone downhill. Terrible. Edit: Wow! after looking at other reviews Im not the only one that has had a bad experience here. Dont go here they rest on their laurels being beside the boat launch.

We are regulars there. Very disappointing experience today. Empty parking lot but we were told by front desk there was a 30 min wait. Seems like every time they get new staff there is a front reception issue. We left. Better training of front end essential!

Horrible thanksgiving dining experience.

Great night on the patio. Dinner with friends, we got the Beef Tamohawk, so good! Perfect for 4 people, plus an order of the mussels. Always love it here!

Good food, great service, exceptional ambiance. Our server Erin was prompt, knowledgeable and timed everything to perfection. Will be back.

***Management*** Fix the wasp issue. It s not hard. Someone who has spent 6 figures with you but is going to stop until this is resolved. Lazy business.

It was wonderful! Exceptional service and care given with personal attention. The meal was unexpected but enjoyed it thoroughly. A delightful afternoon.

Very disappointing to say the least, save your money and go somewhere else. Both deep fried dishes came cold and soggy from sitting on the pass while we waited for an entree salad and a burger to catch up. $4 for a gluten free bun is absurd but good on the bartenders for a delicious spicy marg. Kelowna local but I ll never go back!

The lobster boil was fantastic today! Fun and delicious special on the menu for BC day timed perfectly with happy hour, what a great way to spend a day off on the boardwalk watching the busy marina. The wings are delicious too! Thank you Ryan for the friendly service.

Monday - August 5 - 2024 - this was our Pre-Wedding Dinner (which was confirmed multiple times by their staff) Ruined by Lakeside Dining at the El Darado Hotel Kelowna - I do NOT recommend- Arrived on time for a 7:30pm reservation / our table was given away / we waited another 20 min for another table / 7:55pm got a table / waited another 25 for anyone to notice us - at a front and centre table - bad service - our server ask if we wanted drinks - no apology for lack of service - then we asked for a drink menu another 15 min wait for that Our drinks arrived late so we ordered a clam chowder and muscles for hors d oeuvres firsts clam chowder was like WARM BATH WATER no taste / curdled like and disgusting. Disgusting made us want to just leave ordered food at 9:30 was late told no seafood was available to order (wow) so we ordered steak our server must have really loved us it was a horrible cut of beef 30% grissel / unchewable fat - potatoes were dried up no taste no butter and equally disappointing the food and service were so bad we took out server aside - like we do our children - and had to educated her on manners and service - a truly disappointing and regretful experience. Will not be back. Do not recommend. Excuses for bad service are never acceptable/ an apology and better service and food - even an attempt would have made a difference. From a well travelled restaurant goer this a incredibly bad experience on the bar side of the restaurant we have never had bad service how about that the more expensive side had the worst service ever. Food and drinks: Late service / bad food not worth it Lakeside Dining has bad service / bad food. Do not waste your money.

I recommend trying the burgers here; they re very delicious. The dining environment is lovely, with a strong vacation vibe.

Had a memorable meal in the diningroom last night. I had sable fish and my partner had steelhead. It was the best meal I have had in Kelowna. The fish was perfection. The wine we chose was amazing. A beautiful night and very good service. I would definitely go back. Food and drinks: Amazing food and wine!!

*Only went to restaurant* Food was terrible Service was slow and terrible Highly overpriced Would not recommend Food and drinks: The tomahawk we ordered burned on the outside and the inside fat being under cooked and meat overcooked. Honestly impressed they can mess up this bad. Cooked carrots were essentially raw carrots that were warmed up slightly. Steak was under flavoured and cold, possibly left on the counter for a quite a long time. It was also over cooked where when ordered as medium rare, it came out as well done. Fries were too soft on the inside while the outside crunch was way too uneven. Dont eat

The pistachio crusted trout is to die for, get the sauce on the side!

Lovely location.

Our food was so disappointing. The lobster was over cooked and swimming in a sauce that was gloopy and bland. All of the vegetables that came with our other dishes were barely even cooked. Not to mention the small and flavorless serving of steelhead trout.

Such great food, beautiful location and our server jasper was wonderful, he gave great recommendations and was so on-top of things.

Omelette Renee was light and fluffy, slightly salty, but very good. I thought the hashbrowns were slightly over salted also. The smoked brisket hash was marvelous! Service = excellent and not too invasive. Atmosphere on the bar patio was outstanding!

The food is very disappointing. The beef bet is very dry, the fries are so salty, and the kid meal is so salty that children can t eat it. The mussels is not fresh, and the price is high. Don t waste money.

View is great! Foods just terrible. 7oz Steak frites were overcooked and too salty, mussels were ok but the size were tiny, Narchos were mushy. Recommend to order a beef for the view only.

Location is great. Ill give you that. Youre paying for the location only. Service lacks. Very slow service. Paper menu with food stains and high prices for food you can get at any generic restaurant. The waitress was horrible. Food arrived after 1 hour and food lacked ingredients- because the kitchen forgot also, ran out of ingredients . Over crowded by most people NOT staying at the hotel attached to the restaurant. People mostly in for cloud and taking selfies. Very disappointed.

The food was nir good at all. Fish was undercooked smelt even too fishy French fries warm how hard is it to serve hot fries unfortunately was a birthday meal with an out of town friend. Not going back for awhile

Went to Lakeside dining for breakfast. We noticed the people beside us with a toddler hadnt been served. The lady stated they had been waiting 45 minutes. I noticed other people waiting for their meal. After 50 minutes our server told us she forgot to put our order thru. Other people ahead of us were still waiting. No sign of management taking care of customers or making apologies. Sadly, I have found in the past few years a decline in service here.

Went for dinner tonight and the food was fabulous but even better was the service. We had Tracey as our server. She was informative, friendly and made our dining experience exceptional !! She made recommendations on the menu and dessert all being top notch. She is a true gem. We will definitely be back for dinner again !!

Food and drinks: Great location on the water. Where we sat we could hear the lounge music louder than the restaurant music, we would have preferred either but not both. We had the NY Sirloin and Ravioli. The ravioli was very good but the steak was a let down. Definitely didn t look like a NY sirloin but I asked and they confirmed it was. Very little char and just soft and cold. It was served a room temperature at best. Would recommend the lounge.

Wouldn t recommend the afternoon high tea - it was $45/person which we were fine with, but didn t expect so little food. I ve been to plenty of high teas before and usually there s a large array of sandwiches and scones that fill you up. This one comes with 4 very small slivers of sandwiches and 2 mini scones, taste was mediocre. After spending $100, we had to go out for food afterwards.

Great Sunday brunch

We are staying at the Manteo, located right next door, we went to dinner at the Lakeside dining room last night. Really good, great service, good food. And the view of the lake! Rooms: Spacious Food and drinks: Impeccable cuisine at Manteo.

First telegraphed hot weekend and this place is unprepared. Not enough staff, hold backs at the door and waites on food. Management issue. Server was fantastic. Spending $1800 on 4 days stay on property and wont be dining here. And btw. On the new menu. Dont mess with crowd favorites. The new tuna club is not a clubhouse and flavorless. Candied salmon on it??

Very mediocre brunch. We came here for an early mothers day breakfast and it was as if they hired the chef from Dennys. No shade to Dennys but defiantly Dennys quality, presentation and flavour with upscale pricing. Their menu was unimaginative and boring. Nothing exciting or different. Food took a long time and when it came it was shocking at how unimpressive it was. Save your money and go to Dennys. Service was fine and view made up for it but wouldnt go back and wouldnt recommend. Photo of Eggs Benedict to help you understand the absolute bleh this place was. Suggestion: Change or educate your chef, zhuzh your menu and give the people food that matches the ambiance.

Today was my birthday and my daughter and grand daughter wanted to take me out for a special treat of High Tea . We love the location of The El and we all were so looking forward to a lovely afternoon. Well , it wasn t what we expected! We sat down ordered our tea choices it took more the 10 minutes to bring us the tea . And it came in cheap silver pots not like the beautiful china ones EVERY OTHER TABLE RECEIVED . My daughter is on a restricted diet currently, so she asked if there were any dairy free options . Eric our server said he would check , then came back and said no ! No substites no other option . So our tower arrived and it was very pretty , but my daughter couldn t eat any of the items Yet she was charged full price even though she didn t eat . I had to ask for extra hot water . Unfortunately for us Eric our server did not want to help us , didn t ask how things were , didn t ask if we wanted wine or bubbles with our experience. So , we love the idea of High Tea but will never go back or rave this to our friends due to the service ( lack of ) that we received. Actually, while we were there we started to look as to who else does a High Tea , which we will be happy to try out . Now , although we did not have a good experience I just want to note that we gave a very generous tip ! But it seemed unappreciated. And generally when it s someone s bday , other restaurants will bring over a glass of bubbles or a special treat . We got nothing and Eric was told we were celebrating my birthday today ! So , I hope the Eldorado steps up there game !

Happy hour used to be great at Eldorado. Then they took ALL the food off the happy hour offerings. Furthermore, they had 2 beer selections on the happy hour menu, but ran out on one of them. You d think they d offer an alternative option, but no substitution was offered. Really???

Brittany in the restaurant was so rude it pains me to write this review, she genuinely ruined my evening, which is hard to do. Not a single smile was cracked by this black cloud of a server. Since I was a solo business traveller she paid no attention to me while I watched her make several visits to the tables around me. I even had to go to the bar myself to get my food and drink, I returned my food because it was cold, it came back cold again, I didn t complain again because I just didn t trust them. Horrible experience, Brittney needs to go back to serving 101 or removed. That being said I had an amazing experience in the morning for breakfast. My server and the eggs Benny were fantastic. Mostly Brittney that seems to be the problem!

Went here for supper the other night. The service was great and our server both was well informed about menu and drink selection but had just the right amount of check ins that it was not disruptive to our dinner experience. She made allowances for my hearing disability and had a clear and vocal ability that makes it easier for me. The menu offers a great variety of gluten free options and was able to really enjoy a fish and chips meal. Would recommend place for date night or get-together with friends and family.

It s very nice. Have tried most of the expensive restaurants in the town, but still like the food and service here taking into account that its foods can be reflected by its prices correctly. Very good value

It took an hour to be served cocktails and no food. I ended up not being able to order dinner because it took too long for the server to ask us for our food order. Looking at how the menu was priced I anticipated better service. Great cocktail selection & pretty ambivalence. PART TWO I decided to try the restaurant one more time. If you book high tea be aware that they will charge you for no shows. They originally wanted to charge me $225 today, but the manager talked the chef down to charging me $15 a plate. I m not sure why this became my problem.. Other restaurants clearly communicate fees prior to reservation. The manager proceeded to tell me how they ve made no money off of my table. Being charged an additional $75 for my friends not showing up to my birthday certainly wasn t the day I was expecting. I will not be back to the Eldorado.

I attended a friends birthday party that she had here for high tea. She made a reservation in advance, for 13 people. 8 of us showed up. Near the end of the tea, the server came out and stated, that instead of charging is $45/pp for the 5 no shows, they were going to charge us $15/pp. My friend was obviously very surprised. She told us when she was on the phone, they confirmed the resos but they did not at any point explicitly state if there are cancellations or no shows you will be charged $45. It was also her birthday, and she didnt want to make a scene, so she apologized to us and went to talk to the manager about the situation. I hopped onto the website, as usually there is a note stating last minute cancellations will be charged. This is the case for many restaurants in kelowna, ie: gather, kasai, krafty. Honestly it is pretty standard restaurant practice to state clearly if youre going to charge for cancellations. There was no note. I remember that Gather restaurant also uses the same online reservation portal Open Table and that there was a note for their restaurant that a no show fee would be charged. When I compared this to Open Table for high tea, you can easily make a reso with no note of being charged for cancellations. I joined my friend in talking with the manager after finding out this information. He said that the staff are trained to talk on the phone, but honestly with this kind of incident there must be a serious lack of proper training because stating if there are last minute cancellations you will be charged full price for each no show is not a difficult statement to make over the phone, and there would be no miscommunication otherwise. He then proceeded to add unnecessary comments such as I spoke to the pastry chef and we are being nice and charging you $15 per no show instead, we are not making any money on this. And he is above my pay grade so I cant do anything else. That is a restaurant problem, not a customer problem. I told him that it should be stated explicitly on the website, to which his response was theres no room to add to the website. Again, Ive never heard of that excuse, youre telling me that there is no room for one more sentence? On top of that, I noticed he wasnt even making eye contact with my friend or I, and was mostly just waving his hands and looking above us. Id expect proper eye contact during a conversation like this. In addition, other high teas Ive attended every guest gets their own tea. There were 4 of the guest at the table who werent offered a tea or checked in on to be asked can I get you a tea. I also asked if instead of the salmon sandwich could I sub for an egg sandwich instead? She said they were pre-prepared and they cant do that. And bring my food out missing a sandwich, with no replacement. Our other friend who was vegan, didnt have a menu. She was fine with not eating but the server said she will talk to the pastry chef and see what they can make. She comes back to state the chef can make something for you in 5-10 mins! Here I am wondering why they cant make me a replacement egg salad sandwich in 5 mins... They charged her the same price as the rest of us: $45 for essentially 4 pieces of cut toast with toppings and a skewer of berries. I was excited for this experience as I have dined here before, love the view and usually the service and food is very good. However this experience has left a sour taste in my mouth, and I know myself and some of the other girls in the party will not be returning. If youre looking for a better high tea experience then Id recommend making the trip to Neverland in Naramata.

Had a delicious breakfast, bacon and eggs and yummy potatoes!! Nice view of marina. Service was good too ..friendly and efficient. Recommend!

Our time at Lakeside Dining Room was a letdown. Ignored by multiple waitresses while others were served around us, we left after an infuriating 20-minute wait. To add insult to injury, the menu prices were shockingly high, making us feel like mere cash cows rather than valued customers.

We when to the bar. You re right on the water but we could not get a table outside. Zach was our server and we as awesome. Attentive, engaging, and really personable. The Cesar and margaritas were very good but overpriced in my opinion. Nice stop for expensive drinks.

We go to the bar all the time but we went for the buffet brunch this time. It was absolutely amazing! We loved it. Lovely food, fresh, it was constantly being refreshed and replaced. We would definitely go back.

Came here for a business meeting, great food and service. The scotch selection was great. When the server said the selection I asked for wasn t available they offered a better year at the same price. Can t beat that! Price point was great for the full meal and drinks. 100% will be back. Nearby activities: Beaches nearby, downtown a short 5 minutes in a cab. Or walk 15-20. Lots of hidden gems in the area. Safety: Quite area off the downtown streets. Food and drinks: Scotch flights available.

Good sushi

Nice location, underwhelming food. Four of us did a set menu, dishes were either oversalted or underseasoned. Even dessert, which I m fairly neutral on, had ice cream with ice chunks throughout. The portions were huge though. Ordering wine was kind of crazy; twice a bottle we ordered was unavailable. This took about 20 minutes at the start of the meal because it seems like they re literally trying to find the bottle physically each time. I just gave our server a few options while we ordered our food, we did end up with a bottle but from a worse vintage. Our server was attentive and very pleasant.

Location great but food value wasn t there. 10/10 on the drinks though.

This evenings Valentines menu was really exceptional. I was a little skeptical based on a few reviews but very happy with our choice to dine here tonight. The service and timing of food was perfect. Portions left us more than full. The bison tenderloin was honestly the best meal Ive had in a very long time. The desserts were absolutely beautiful. Thank you to all!

We were there for dinner between Christmas and New Years and our server made all the difference in the world! He was knowledgeable, kind, caring, entertaining and made sure the food was to our liking! So of course the meal was wonderful! Both the food and the atmosphere were exceptional! And Thank you to our server, if memory serves me correctly his name is Vincent! You are the best!

Went out for a Buffet with guests from out of town/country... I generally struggle to justify the $50 per person price tag on a regular Sunday buffet, but New Years day we were treated to a little price gouging in addition, Buffet per person went up to $63 each without any sort of warning.... Assuming this was a NYD tax of some sort but honestly, ridiculous and they didnt have all the usual buffet items either... Whilst I appreciate the food is generally good at the buffet, the $50 price tag is a stretch and we would only ever take people coming in from out of town as a special treat, but with the new stealth tax for holidays, I dont think we will recommend or bother with them again when there are so many better reasonably priced brunch spots in town... Lakeshore, you can and should do better... FYI our server was excellent, cant knock the service...

Just went to eat, didnt stay in hotel. Fancy, good for date night. Tabled receive bread, decent size portion. Partner had the steak on special, it was massive. I had lamb, smaller than expected. Ive never had Rack of lamb before, it was very fatty. Ive had lamb before. My favorite part was the hidden jam drink I had. Atmosphere by customers is very hoity-toity, but friendly staff. Quick and very quiet, leave you to your meal type

Food and drinks: Dinner (3 out of 4) was over cooked almost burnt. We brought it to our servers attention! Nothing was changed. We have been here numerous times but it was our guest s first time. They would not return based on the food. Service

Just a fun place great staff and management

Beautiful location right on the water. The service was really good and the drinks were great as well. However, the service was a bit slower than I would expect for a fancy restaurant - both our food and drinks took too long to come out. The food was average, again I would expect a bit more considering the price point. Overall the experience was good, but it doesn t live up to the hype in my opinion.

Wonderful dining experience! If you havent tried the Lobster Mac and Cheese you are missing out!!! So delicious!

Fish n chips was oily n too crispy , making it little hard

My thank you is long over due, but, nevertheless sincere and from the bottom of my heart. I had to say goodbye to my brother who passed away in hospice that morning. I stopped in for lunch and the bartender Brian, was just the kindest and sweetest person that I could have run into that late January afternoon. And for that, I am most grateful for my new friend I made that day. Next time I m in Kelowna I ll pop by to say hi :)

Whiskey tasting session in their whiskey room great night full of information and fun. Learned lots and was able to try some whisky s I ve never had before. Ryan our host was simple wonderful and made the evening special! Will be back for other events!!

We celebrated my hubby s birthday at Lakeside last night and it was a memorable experience. The ambiance is impeccable and the view from the dining room is unmatched! Our server, Vincent, was warm, knowledgeable and very attentive. Our guests had the Pork Belly & Scallops, as well as the Winter Salad for appetizers. For mains we opted for tenderloins, the striploin, veal chop and portobello mushroom. They were all divine and full of truly dynamic flavours (tiger blue cheese & plums on a steak are to die for!). Most important to me as a new mom, was that they were so accepting of my 6 month old joining us in the dining room. They set us up off to the side so we could enjoy our meal and attempt to have as little impact on the other diners as possible. I ve enjoyed lunches along the water (the chicken sandwich is amazing!), but the dinner service is top of the line. Will definitely be back again!! Vegetarian options: Great selection of delicious vegan options. Kid-friendliness: Accepting of young baby and high chairs are available.

All around a great place to be year around but especially on the patio in the summer. Kitchen team are always putting out great food especially for how busy it gets, service is usually fantastic. Always check this place out when in kelowna

The brunch buffet was delicious. The view was outstanding. One of the hostesses was rude and not accommodating, but Chad the manager was very attentive and saved the day.

Always excellent service from Vincent and amazing food!! My team travels to Kelowna yearly for work and we make a reservation for dinner at the Eldorado s dining room each year. We have always had Vincent as our Server. He is very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. This year I had the delicious slow roasted rack of lamb for dinner and Vincent recommended a bottle of wine for us to share. The Restaurant is right on the lake with a beautiful view. 100% recommend for nice dinner.

The view is amazing, food was ok, service was slow. Took over an hour to get our food. After we ordered we didn t see our waiter again until our food arrived. Not worth the price.

We were a party of 8. Food took a while to arrive, and when it did, 2 meals had crispy rice and noodles. Fortunately, these 2 meals were replaced. They also gave us a free round of drinks for the table and discounted everyones meals by 10%, so they definitely made up for it. My fettuccine was quite tasty, and the lake view was gorgeous.

Atmosphere amazing!! Customer service amazing!! Location amazing!! Food absolutely terrible!! We have been lucky enough to experience the Eldorado restaurant for years now and the food just keeps getting worse and worse. I love it so much there but we can t go back, not until the menu has changed. Real people, real food that s all you need to get 5 stars! I hear it from everyone. Best of luck!

The restaurant and patio is beautiful, service was good, but unfortunately the food and drink wasnt the best, especially considering the prices. Everything was pretty bland, including the mocktail I had, and the portion sizes were much smaller than what I expected. The cheesecake was tiny (for, I believe $15). It was a lovely presentation and the cheesecake itself was pretty good, but the fancy cookie and sorbet sides it had were again, tiny and again, tasteless. Im not sure wed come back, as nice as the restaurant itself is.

Wonderful setting on the dock patio but food was not great. Ordered Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl and got sushi rolls with not a flake of tuna anywhere. Our server was great and very accommodating... encouraging us to try different drinks. Also did not see Winston the lovely golden lab who would have been the highlight of the outing.

Food and drinks: Food was very good, but service was terrible. We stopped in for a late lunch, and ordered the cob salad and the buttermilk chicken sandwich. Both were very tasty and the chicken sandwich was delivered piping hot. The chicken on the salad was tasty and tender. We had arrived after the lunch rush, and after being seated, our server was very slow to appear. He finally took our order, but after more than 45 minutes we were still waiting for food. I tried to get his attention to see what the hold up was, but he avoided us until after our food finally arrived. We were seated outdoors at the lounge, and others at tables around us were also experiencing trouble with the slow service. If you are looking to sit outside, I would recommend not sitting in the outdoor lounge area. There is limited protection from the sun. Fortunately it was an overcast day for us and not too hot. **LoL . . . Clearly the marketing coordinator didnt actually read this review

Made a reservation for breakfast for Saturday and we were seated inside. When I asked about patio seating we were denied based on table availability. While we dined there were a row of 5+ tables that sat empty along with about 3 others that were completely unattended. For the three meals purchased all the eggs were done incorrectly. The server did correct the issue promptly and nicely. Otherwise the service was good and it is a beautiful location. I only wish I was offered the patio seating when I reserved my table. I dont really understand why we were denied. I likely will go somewhere else in the future.

Had been here for afternoon brunch and the place was lovely, the staff and food were amazing too!

Rooftop bar was terrific. Great views. No table service if you are just having rooftop drink and not dining but there was little-or-no wait at the bar and, as noted, the view was terrific. Came back for inside dining the next night. The vibe inside was not nearly as good as the rooftop. It almost put you in mind of a nursing home that was going for high-end but not quite reaching it. The service was VERY slow. My spouse waited 20 minutes for a cup of coffee and there was at least a 15 minute delay (and up to 30 minutes) for each item ordered from the bar. There was a significant delay between each visit from our server. For the food: the house salad was delicious. High praise for the blackened whitefish. Outstanding coffee. The garlic mash and New England Clam chowder were very good, too. However, the mussels had maple syrup added and the effect was not good. The rolls were nice and warm but just a little too sweet. The ONLY vegetarian entree on the menu was a $15.00 bowl of penne pasta with garlic and oil or Alfredo. The menu indicated that there would be a vegetable medley with this dish, but there were only a smattering of green onion bits on top. In short, there were some decor, expo, and staffing issues which can probably be worked out, but at this price point, this is unacceptable.

We had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant today. We asked for a table & were seated with dinner menus. The hostess notified us that their kitchen was closing in ten minutes, and we said we will put our order in as soon as we could. Our server brought us water & then did not come to our table for 30 minutes, despite us making eye contact with him multiple times and setting our menus to the side. After 30 mins - we had to ask for his attention as he still did not come back to our table. We finally placed our order. Another 15 minutes passed and the manager approached us saying that we will not be getting dinner because the server put our order in after the kitchen was closed. Our server did not have the decency to apologize to us. We felt very disrespected. We also noticed that other parties were attended to more promptly than us. This made us feel like there was a hint of racism involved. We spent almost an hour at this restaurant and we left without being able to eat. Not to mention, we dragged our baby and our toddler out. A huge waste of time. I will never go to this restaurant again nor will I recommend this place to anyone. I do not appreciate how this situation was handled & left with my family feeling disrespected (& hungry).

As this was my first visit to this restaurant, I had higher expectations of the experience that we received. We were a party of 5 (4 Caucasian and 1 African American). When we arrived for our reservation, we walked past countless empty tables (all of which had a misting system right by the tables). When we were seated, we were placed at the very end of the seating in which the last 3 tables had zero misting systems located at the table. We arrived at 3pm for happy hour and then were told by our server that we could only experience the happy hour if we sat inside. It was a 30+ degree day and we wanted to enjoy the weather so we chose to stay outside. We then ordered muscles just to be told that there were no more muscles so we ordered something else. Approximately 30 mins later the server returned and we made a joke about not being able to order the muscles and for some odd reason there were now muscles and we could order them. We watched another East Indian couple come in and they were placed directly in front of our table (2nd last table on the dock which also had no misting system). We watched as countless Caucasian entered and were seated at the front where there were misting seats available. For me personally it seemed very obvious what was going on based on race. Its unfortunate that in 2023 this is still an issue. I can say I will NEVER go back to this restaurant, its unfortunate because the location is nice.

Absolutely superb! We are visiting Kelowna from England and were recommended this place - we were definitely not let down. The service, food and setting were all absolutely excellent. We had a table with a view of the lake which was idyllic and the server (Vince) was first class, with an impressive knowledge of the menu and was also very attentive. The scallops and beef tenderloin were cooked to perfection and the desserts were so good as well. Highly recommend this place!

Went for happy hour and asked for a table on the patio. We ordered food and drinks from the happy hour menu (provided to us on the patio) and when the bill came they charged us full price for everything. When asked about the error in the billing, our poor server had to awkwardly explain that the managers have decided happy hour rates were not applicable to lakeside tables. I m not understanding the logic here? Why would you only offer a special rate for sitting inside and not for the entire restaurant. The menu is already pricy as it is. We ve been dining here for 10+ years and seems like things keep changing, without proper communication or reasoning. Not to mention we are lift members, have been for 7 years, and we ve been told over the years we d get some kind of deal when we dine there but none of the staff know anything about it so we ve stopped asking. I feel bad for the staff as they are all doing their best but seems they are not being given clear communication.

We had a great experience dining outdoors on the patio. Our food was great and so was the service. The view was incredible too. It was a perfect spot to bring our friends who were visiting Kelowna for the first time.

The host told us they were full and completely booked for the next 1.5h, therefore the only seating available was at the lounge. Understandable. We sat at the lounge and were given the menu, we could see from out seats several tables empty outside. After 15 min wait the server finally came to check on us and take our order, we were just about to leave but as he was apologetic we decided to stay. The veggie roll was the most tasteless thing we had ever had, other items were ok to say the best. When we left, over 1h later, the tables outside were still empty. They have a beautiful setting by the lake, but after being sat inside with available seating outside, slow service and sad food, it is unlikely we will return.

If you are going to Kelowna on a vacation, I d recommend you skip this restaurant. The views were nice but the food was sadly bland, dry & tasteless. We decided to go here on the last night of our trip because the reviews were good & we were disappointed.

The restaurant location is just great. The interior is very nice. But the food is awful ..... Im not the one who likes to complain about the food, but it was really bad. I ordered Portobello Mushrooms Bowl, and it was a really bad choice. Neither I nor my husband enjoyed our food. This place has to find a better way to cook!!!!!

A waste of a view for such bland dishes. In our trip to Kelowna we discovered awesome locals places, but Lakeside Dinning Room is definitely not one of them. We had the house made bread for starters, a Frisée salad with smoked salmon, and the garden fettuccine with added lobster tail. One of the breads in the basket was ok, but the focaccia was dry and the serving did not include enough olive oil & balsamic vinegar. The salad lacked dressing and the only tasty bit was the added smoked salmon that definitely came out of a package. Sauce & flavour didnt even showed up in the main, a quite dry and incoherent fettuccine with green peas that made it awkward to eat. Lastly, +$27 for added lobster tail was not worth it, as it was as bland as everything else and very tough to chew. The only good thing was the wine from Mission Hill, but again not made at the restaurant. An extremely disappointing end to a lovely visit to Kelowna.

Wish I could do 0-stars. Server was friendly Food took 45 mins, drinks took 15, when the brunch arrived it was all cold. Manager, Cheryl, followed us out the door grabbing me by the arm. Super horrible experience. Never again.

Disappointing dinner. Was in Kelowna for one night, a Saturday, and our family of four decided to go to the spot for dinner. Lakeside was really a dining room with a screen that blocked the view, until we asked for it to be raised. The service was good, I have no complaints. Looking at the prices, I expected them to be high, but all our meals were disappointing. $48 steak was small, but cooked properly, but with the sides, was not enough to fill a hungry teenager. My daughters poke bowl was soggy - she showed me and there was some kind of liquid all in and around the rice. My wife s frisée salad was meh and my cob salad was small, small amounts of the good stuff, no dressing, romain with black edges on the leaves and avocado with brown spots I had to cut out. No quality control. We all felt unsatisfied so why not try dessert? Homemade ice cream sounded good and safe. Check the prices ..for one tiny ball of vanilla and chocolate that tasted no different from store bought. Another disappointment. At least the drinks were good ..

We ordered water for the table to start and thats where the story begins. The waitress proceeds to ignore our table for the rest of the meal, literally said K when we asked for a starter. The fish was bone dry. The only redeeming factor was the nice bus boy and the cool sunset, otherwise go somewhere else

This reviews is only regarding the restaurant. I ve been there now 3 times in the last few week. I ve had lunch, dinner and breakfast. It s so sad, that such an iconic place has such terrible food. It wasn t only once or twice it was all 3 times. The setting and patio speaks for itself. It s like management said, screw it, let s cut costs and serve terrible food because people are gonna come for the patio anyways. I ve had better food at local hole in the walls than here. Absolutely terrible food.

The restaurant is very nice, but the service is awful, specially the host Kevin, he is very rude and very unwelcoming to the guests, he has a very bad and unfriendly attitude.

This place was absolutely awesome. we stopped here for a cocktail and just to enjoy the stunning views of the Okanogan.The service was a bit slow, but we were in no hurry, plus she was pretty busy I will give her that. Definitely come back

Weve heard so much about the historic Elderado Hotel that we wanted to check it out. We walked along the boardwalk, which has stunning views of the Okanagan lake and the surrounding mountains. The hotel seems very high-end with an amazing pool. We will book a stay in the near future. We did pop in to the Lakeside Dining Room for an adult beverage on the outdoor patio. The misters are such a nice touch on a warm day. Its a great way to kill some time. I highly recommend it. The service was quite slow, but they were busy.

Brunch food quality & selection was outstanding. Service on the boardwalk was nominal ...could be more attentive to the tables. The waterside venue is always terrific Service

The view is spectacular, our brunch was very sad. We had Eggs Benny, portion was small and cold English muffin. We ordered The El Caesars and they were served mid way during brunch and they were horrible watered down drinks that didn t fit the description they had on the menu. Will come back one day and hopefully the food and drink game will be better.

Steak was chewy but they replaced our meal and it was fabulous. Drinks were great, view was beautiful, and waiter was awesome!

Come for the view! We came here because my friends saw some tick tocks on this restaurant. The view was amazing, we asked to sit outside and we were right on the pier. However, the food was another story. I think people should come here for the view, definitely not the food. I myself ordered a flatbread that was pretty much drenched and oil, so that it was soggy actually. My friends had a bowl which they said was underwhelming, and another friend had a salad on hers and the salad with limpy. The service was not bad, however we were given napkins that had a lot of white lint on it. When the napkin was black, and she still gave it to us despite seeing that the black napkin is pretty much white with lint. So we had to tell her to give us a new one. And also she never wants to ask us about our food, because our food was really bad. Overall I think the view is worth coming, even if the food wasnt too great. My friends who had the burger though, said that the burger was great. They had a chicken burger.

If I could leave a negative star, I would. I am in Kelowna from winnipeg, with my boyfriend for his birthday. We walked in, promptly were sat on the terrace, and were left sitting for over 15 minutes without even being acknowledged. After we were sat another table was sat and served but still no one came to us. It was not busy, only 2 tables on the terrace before we arrived. Then even we we walked out no one said a word as we left. Needless to say, we will not be back. On a side note, the menu does did sound delicious so pretty disappointed, and the view is incredible.

Ordered a salmon salad , don t know what took so long (over 20 mins). They were quick to take our wine glasses away because they were short of glasses. After the food was left at our table, no courtesy of asking how our food was or if we needed a refill of our water. I had to save my water for the entire meal because we knew we would not get asked if we needed more water. Food was overrated & bland. Do not recommend this place unless you like being ignored. Our servers name was Olivia2001 on the bill.

The food here was sub par compared to other places of similar caliber. The views and atmosphere is great. The service here though should be mentioned. Once we were seated the only time we got a server was present was to take our order and take payment. There was a manger walking around stopping by at a few tables to see how the service was, we were not one of the tables, even though I was sitting there with an empty cup along with my friend with a near empty glass. Looking at prior reviews to see if this was maybe a rare occasion, I guess maybe not and it looks like racism plays a big part if you decide to go here. Had really high expectations going here as we are visiting from Alberta, soon after we arrived we were very disappointed. Will not be returning and I highly recommend trying other restaurants in the surrounding area. It was not a busy day at all, there was quite a few servers and workers in the facility.

Sunday Brunch buffet was excellent as per usual. They have lots of options for Celiacs, even some great desert items! The staff are very helpful with finding gluten free items, and I had plenty to choose from. A nice laid back experience sitting in the lounge, and great service from all, including Ryan. Love the fireplaces going too, adds coziness to the atmosphere.

We stayed here two years ago and we believed that the hotel and thr restaurant were OK (only) mostly for the location and view. Recently, we decided to dine again, we were refused the dining area (probably because we wore runners: we were told that is closed while people were there and few empty tables. Was actually nicer on the patio. Menu items listed not available. Draft beer was like coloured and sparkling water - refused it. Ordered lamb and wings; food delivered about one hour later - not admissible for these menu options. Wings - much better at fast food locations. Lamb was charred and not great, but tomatoes had a horrible taste (Kelowna is the place where natural veggies grow!!) , and the couscous non-edible because had bad taste of old. When we showed dissatisfaction with the food nobody came to ask about our experience. So, we have seen a much lower quality in all restaurant service compared to two years ago.

The view of the Lakeside Fining Room is pure serenity. The food is awesome with an extended local wine and beer to choose from. The server was very attentive and allowing us to enjoy family interaction and admire the view. I will definitely do back to this place.

Absolutely my favourite hotel and resort in Kelowna and I have tried them all! Compared to the prices at the Delta this is without doubt the best bang for your buck! It is very tastefully renovated and in a great location, I love the lakeside restaurant, excellent food! Rooms: Very romantic room! Old colonial feel to it, loved the furniture, what a change from the usual standard hotel room.

Visited several times over the summer. Location is incredible, especially on sunny days. However, service is typically very slow. Multiple occasions where no one would come by the table and we were unable to order more drinks/food. On one instance with a larger group, we essentially got our food, got asked how it was 5 minutes after, and then the next time the waitress came back she just brought the cheque. We definitely would have ordered more drinks throughout the evening, but were unable to.

Had an amazing Sunday brunch!! The chef came out and showed me all of the items that were gluten free (there were tons) and it was so helpful! Exceptional food and service!

Ryan at the cocktail lounge, a gin and whiskey ambassador, was fantastic. We tried a dozen whiskeys. He took us on a tour around the world. We started with an Irish whiskey, traveled to india , Scotland and Canada. It was a journey that was thoughtfully curated. Going back tomorrow for another gin and whiskey tasting. Dinner at the lakeside dining room was very nice. We had the curry short rib, shrimp spaghetti, sablefish and the green curry with trout. Ren, our server was fantastic as well.

What made our experience was our whiskey and gin ambassador. His curated selections took us on a tasteful journey. We appreciated that he offered 1/2 ounce pours to allow us to survey many great drinks. Lucky us. Highly recommend.

Great ambiance and amazing service. The food however was abysmal. I ordered the boardwalk burger. The burger Pattie s were frozen and dry, the bacon was clearly from the morning and just sat under a heat lamp for the entirety of the day. It just lacked any sense of taste and flavor. I never write reviews but this was bad enough it warranted one. Especially when you pay $38 for something you could go to McDonald s for and be more satisfied for a fraction of the cost.

The service and drinks were fantastic but the food was Blech. Dry, flavourless chicken; frozen burgers with yesterdays bacon and mediocre fries. Save your money and get takeout to eat on the public dock or nearby beach; it ll be the same ambience but better food.

Burrata salad was delicious and the staff very friendly but otherwise the service was extremely slow, our order came out wrong, and we had to send our drinks back twice. It was extremely hot out on the deck which would be fine when you dont have slow service and are expected to sit there for double the amount of time it should take for a normal service.

Evan was great, helped us with everything we needed and was super kind. Riley was great helping us at the front.

This is not fine dining. Food was mediocre, as was the service. The menu is not tailored for summer. It was very hot and humid with no air conditioner and half of the fans not working. We booked 2 weeks ahead and got the worst seat in the house - direct sun the entire meal and right beside the main traffic pathway. We asked if they could accommodate us as there were many empty tables, but they did not do anything. Would not recommend. The place is a joke.

Used to love taking people out here... Very cheaply designed patio; mister set up is terrible, the tables along the boardwalk have umbrellas that do nothing but tease you and with black trim on everything you burn the backs of you legs or arms every time you move. Not to mention the staff moral is pretty dull. The linguini was good but for $30 something the size is an issue. come on guys; i can understand inflation but lets be real Ive have bigger kids meals

So interesting that we called before we got in 2 mins confirmed has seat which can see the lake. Not sure server wear the colour glasses and say all seats near lake were been reserved. Expensive price with low quality food, and cooking time more than 30mins, amazing! Not steak but rawhide.

Fantastic location. The lights on the boardwalk are very festive and the whole atmosphere is perfect. The food isn t extravagant, certainly not for the price, and can definitely be found somewhere else for a more affordable price. It s still good, but is only a bit above average. You pay for the location mostly.

When I lived in Kelowna, the Eldorado was the place to go for great food, drinks, service and ambiance. I was excited to return to the Okanagan and bring 3 friends with me to experience what I ve remembered to be a great time. Such was not the case for us tho. When we arrived, we were greeted by 2 young girls outside who asked if we had a reservation. We did not; and they asked if we wanted to sit in or outside. Given it was a gorgeous sunny Tuesday, we asked to sit outside. They said we were at table #3 and one of the hostesses inside would direct us to our table. Great! We walked inside, and 2 even younger girls were there, and I confirmed that we were assigned table #3 on the patio. One of the girls took 3 steps out from behind the podium and pointed to the patio and said your table is out there . I looked at her a bit puzzled and said sorry, what?! and she repeated herself taking an additional couple of steps to the patio doors. I looked at her, not impressed, and said you realize you re pointing to a patio of a dozen empty tables - you re not going to show us which is ours? How do we know which one we re going to? She responded: they all have a number on them WOW. We figured out which table was ours, sat down, and 2 of our party immediately burnt their legs from the sun-exposure-heat of their bench (which was in direct sunlight). We asked the young guy working near us if he had a cushion or anything that they could sit on. He left to go look and came back with 2x thin black dining napkins and laid them out and said there, would that help? We knew it wouldn t, and asked to sit inside instead. Our server inside was better - her name was Kynsie (or something like that) - and she was definitely reflecting the Eldorado brand and contributing to a good experience for us. She was friendly and chatty - but not too chatty - and made some great food recommendations for us as well. When the time came for our food to be brought out, a high school-aged boy by the name of Stone was our food runner. Stone, on the other hand, is doing NOTHING for your brand and was the most disengaged, off-brand, disinteresting individual we d ever come across in the food service industry. He schluffed our food out, put our plates down in front of us and blandly said what each dish was, then boringly said enjoy your meal as he dramatically rolled his eyes and head and proceeded to walk away. He reminded us of Lurch from the Adam s Family and we were all shocked that he worked there and was even hired in the first place! Hypersensitive to the lacklustre service, we all recognized the median age of most of your staff is 16. None of them overly interacted with any of the guests; none of them seemed to try and build on your property s brand in any way; and they all definitely lacked a level of confidence, experience, and care that any patron would come to expect from an establishment of your caliber and tenure. All in all, we were really disappointed with our experience and we ve all agreed we won t be returning to the Eldorado when we re back in Kelowna next. Instead, we d all much rather support establishments that have genuinely earned our business and value our time and attendance.

We were booked for a week ahead due to miscommunication but the manager rearranged for us on the spot. One of got a medium rare steak but the steak was medium and they gave us a %50 discount. The New York sirloin steak was really good alongside with the linguini carbonara

The boardwalk is beautiful to have a drink and socialize with friends. I liked their twist on a Pina colada. Portion of fries was a bit too small to share. The tacos are delicious. Well definitely be back. A great place to bring tourists to enjoy a meal overlooking the lake.

Came here for Sunday brunch today. Amazing patio that is super relaxing. Loved the brunch buffet - most of all, our server lauren was excellent! She was so friendly and personable and gave us tons of great recommendations for the rest of our day. Give that gal a raise!

Truly a disappointing expereince. We came here for my mothers birthday with our family. First off they didnt have water (still or sparkling). How does a restaurant not have water? All they had was tap water. We arrived with kids and had to ask for kids menus 10 mins after they gave us regular menus. The kids menus had coloring areas for the kids, so we asked for crayons (I would have thought they would have provided them as soon as they saw kids and gave us kids menus) and well, you guessed it, no Crayons. Ordered the mussels to start. Werent given any spoons so had to ask for some (are you following the theme here?). And well you guessed it, they only had 1 spoon (we were a party of 5). Oh and 1.5 hours later after we ordered and no food has arrived yet. We asked if there was a delay, and the excuse was its peak dinner time. Yea but we ordered at 5:30pm before supposed peak dinner time. As I write this, the food has still not arrived and frankly have lost my appetite and the kids are restless now wanting to come home. Id expect a lot more from a place like this...especially at this price point and for a place with this kind of reputation...but the expereince was worse off than a generic fast food dine in restaurant. The only reason I even gave it 2 stars was because the appetisers were half decent. Save yourself time and money and find yourself something else here in Kelowna. I really didnt wish I had to write this but an overall disappointing birthday expereince for my mother and our family.

Just went for drinks! Such a great atmosphere! Love the old decor of the bar. Staff were super professional and friendly! Shoutout to one of the managers there (Karlie) who squeezed us despite limited seating options! You rock!! Will be going back!

Best place in kelowna for great food on the water

Amazing historic site with first-class service a real asset to Kelowna and Lake Shore Drive. They have a fabulous dockside seating arrangement in the summer for meals from the restaurant and drinks. Great atmosphere all around.

We were rudely turned away, even though we had a reservation. Seeking a memorable meal and an extensive wine list, I made reservations at the Lakeside Dining Room about 2 weeks prior to our visit. Using Open Table (the restaurants platform), I chose outside seating because the pergola & patio looked lovely in the photos. We arrived, the hostess confirmed our reservation, but I was surprised that we were seated on the boardwalk (although I could see the restaurant was packed). We made our food and wine selections after consulting with the somm, but when we placed our order, we were asked to order from the hotels casual menu instead. The waiter apologized and said the kitchen was slammed so they could not offer the Lakeside menu at our table. When we talked with the hostess about the problem, she was rude and unapologetic, and would not reseat us. We left and enjoyed yummy tapas in town.

Patio and view are nice but food is not. It used to be good but now it s consistently bad.

What a wonderful dining experience. From a waiter so skilled, to scallops perfectly seared and served in an amazing exotic sauce. Chilled, firm prawns with a spicy cocktail sauce. A rack of some of the best lamb we d ever had, wonderful locally produced Chardonnay Burrowing Owl. Classy dishes and serious flatware. If you are looking for a classy and fun dining evening this is the place!

Keeping the review simple and why I gave a low rating. Negative: -The food is not that great and for the price it s not worth it, very small portions. -Very long wait for the food -Food was not warm when it arrived -The servers seemed to struggle with all the customers, short staffed maybe? -The service was great at the start but declined afterwards. Positive -Great view, make sure to do a reservation to sit near the water.

Gluten free fish and chips! And the servers were great too!

Vince was the.most charismatic and knowledgeable professional we have had the pleasure of experiencing. The food was outstandingly obscenely exquisite! Omg......what an experience. We celebrated our 25th anniversary.....and wow what an experience! Thank you Vince. We will definitely be looking for you when we are back in Kelowna!

Went with a large group on October the 1st. I got the striploin with lobster tail and we literally laughed at the lobster tail when it came. It was more like a prawn. The rest was Ok at best. The game hen wasnt very good either. The drinks were great which is why it gets 2 stars instead of 1. Go to Cedar Creek Winery if you really want a high end dinner and experience.

Heard great things about the brunch from years past. Hugely disappointed. Made reservations for peak brunch time and everything was cold. The scramble eggs were runny and cold, the bacon was over salted and cold. Everything was cold and mediocre at best. Quality of the food did not match the price. Will not be coming back anytime soon. The only positive was the service.

We stayed at the Eldorado for our first anniversary. We were going to go out for dinner downtown but was so impressed with our appy and drinks in the lounge we went over to the dining room for dinner. The best meal in a very long time. I had the beef tenderloin and crème brûlée for desert. Everything was amazing. Our server and all staff were friendly and attentive. Looking forward to going back!

High hopes for a slow service - This place is stunning! Located on the waterfront, it offers an amazing view on the lake, food was nice but the service is laking in knowledge and speed. We waited so long to get some water to our table that I ended up going to ask a host at the entrance to get some water to be delivered to our table and we waited for a waiter to come for every step of the dinner for ever each time (table wasnt cleared of empty glasses, etc), such a shame as this place is so beautiful and the food is pretty good. Cocktails were well executed so thank you to our bartender but service needs some serious improvement (speed, knowledge, behaviour) comparing to the prices offered on the menu. A little of a let down...

Went for lunch last week with my business partner. We where greeted by the manager (Victoria) was very nice, friendly, and just all around awesome. We where served by JD and he was very attentive and a very amazing server. 100% would recommend.

Great atmosphere with great service, Vincent was awesome and gave us some great recommendations! I had literally the BEST lobster Ive ever had in my entire life! The drinks were incredible and the dessert was unmatched!

Weve come here several times during their Sunday buffet and pasta nights. Excellent service, great food (my kids LOVE the chocolate fountain). If you come here in the summer, try to reserve a table outside. Those memories of brunch under the summer sun, chocolate all over the girls faces and dresses are priceless.

Our family was celebrating a special birthday and Lakeside Dining at Eldorado Resort was everyone s selection of choice. The exceptional Customer Service was outstanding and will definitely support our return visits moving forward. Special thanks to our Host Allison for organizing our group of 12 so seamlessly and Jordan for her wonderful service. The chefs all deserve to be recognized for their presentation and high quality dining options! Our dining experience was a special one for our family s celebration! Thanks to all!

Pricey but worth it. Food was phenomenal and the whisky bible that they can provide to you is really quite something.

This restaurant is a part of Elderado hotel. A historical building with amazing view of the lake. Jan was an awesome host. Ryans drinks were yummy.

My wife and I had a snack here on a whim. Shared muscles and a plate of fries and we absolutely can not wait to go back for more .

A favorite place for an after work drink or a meal. The bartenders are very knowledgeable... especially when it comes to whiskey, scotch and bourbon.
