Featuring a curated selection of sea-inspired dishes, local vegetables, and generous usages of oils, spices, and grains. Chef Alain Léger draws inspiration from the likes of Valencia, Genoa, Split, and Nice to deliver spectacularly inventive dishes in a refreshingly vibrant space.
We tried this place for the first time today. The food was so delicious and the service was excellent. I had the chefs pizza special and it was amazing. We did the Brunch on Sunday. We will most definitely be back. We were celebrating our 12 year anniversary. My hubby had the pizza and I had the breakfast plate with salmon toast. We will try a dinner seating next.
I just move to Kelowna and live nearby. I was so excited to come try this place with a high expectation. The almostphere and service were great. HOWEVER, I am not ok with the food quality. Desserts are amazing but other food is disaster. They served me a starter dip plate with sorry looking mint leaves! How could you put it on the plate! Photos attached to see. Then the main course, I had a steak. The steak was cooked perfectly right as I requested, medium rare but it was cold like room temperature, completely no heat in the steak when brought to the table! Ok, I gave them a chance to make it right, because I love the place, so I asked the waitress. She offered to bring the steak in to do whatever to fix it. Coming out with a reply that, either have to eat it that way or cook it more to weldone, cannot change the steak! A complete joke and disappointment. Paying high price for this quality!
Wow. This restaurant has really improved. I wrote a negative review two years ago when it first opened about the food, prices and atmosphere, which I have now deleted as our visit today was so different. Excellent service and attention from Sydnee and her manager on the patio and delicious food. Also the patio is looking fuller of plants and lusher than the days of the Wild Apple and Smack Dab. We had two starters (Fritto Misto and Breads & Spreads) followed by Ling Cod Puttenesca, Gyro and Bianco Funghi pizza. This was finished off with Mango Pannacotta and a selection of sorbets. A memorable experience in a beautiful setting. This is the best patio restaurant in Kelowna.
We’ve been here twice and have had great experiences both times. The food is great, the service is 10/10. Collin was our server most recently and provided great service on the patio. Would recommend and will be back!
Great place for dinner, the main course was huge, the Chicken & Prune Tagine was wonderful. The service was excellent as well as the view of the lake, with people windsurfing for us. A must place to go try out, well worth it. 👍👍
Nice place to sit on the water and enjoy a meal, atmosphere was good, good service. The margarita pizza wasn't really much of a margarita pizza tho, was just more of a cheese pizza, it wasn't bad but I just thought it would be different. Sea food pasta was good. Highlight was definitely the desert, would recommend the chocolate baklava, never seen it before
We went here for an early dinner on December 16th, it was a Saturday. The place was very quiet, only a few other tables were occupied. The food was delicious, I had the mussels and my husband had the special, which was some sort of French stew. The service was good, and the ambience of the place was very nice. I would definitely go back there next time we're in town.
We dined here for lunch for 4 people. I was surprised to find out that this restaurant has replaced smackDAB (previously named). The food was delicious and well portioned! We sat outside for the waterfront views. The staff was very friendly and prompt. I ordered the lamb shwarma with fries. My favorite was the wild mushroom fettucine which came with a big slice of foccacia garlic toast & asparagus. Great location and great service. Yum!
Awesome food and great service. Legit good Italian food. Fondue is great.
Unbelievable pasta and appies and bevies
Fabulous ambiance and the best deck in Kelowna! Jaycee was a great server and the snacks were delicious. Dietary restrictions: The gluten free pizza crust is highly recommended.
We enjoyed happy hour on the patio. Pizza was delish and it was prepared the way I like it. Crispy with a little char. Big enough for two to split. We each ordered a starter salad to complement the pizza. Katie was our server and she was friendly and looked after us. Overall, compared to many places I thought it was good value. Wine, view, good company and good food. Well be back.
Im used to be a comeback regular customer almost for a year! For the last few months kids pizza turned from the properly made pizza, just a smaller size, into some disgusting, grease flatbread nonsense kids questioning and adults wont eat! Because of this, few weeks ago I ordered adult pizzas for the family, Was as before- Good! Everyone had a medium food poisoning after the meal unfortunately.. Today, ordered a pizza for a take out, For the $25-27 pizza before I received $31 srinked in half(smaller than kids pizza used to be), grease pizza. Nothing to do with a pizza you used to make just two months ago!!! Absolutely nothing!! Very disappointed! I used to recommend that location! Service is good, Waitresses are great and helpful as always, No rad guys at the bar, unfortunately dont remember their names, And definitely no more guy who been making pizzas.. Wont recommend any longer, Wont recommend visiting with kids, Wont recommend take outs, Once again, very unfortunate... Must be new save orientated management or something..
We had great meals and service. The only issue is that we wanted to sit on the patio but were told that it was full and that we needed a dog to sit on the left hand side of the deck. After two other group moved outside we asked again and we were then allowed to move to the dog area. The patio never got full and there was only one dog in the patio.
Wow. We expected a great meal based on other reviews, but this dinner exceeded both our expectations by a long shot! Rivalling one of the best meals we ve ever had (by a very celebrated chef), this was one for the books. Bright, fresh, tender, complex, and vibrant are some of the ways we d describe our feast. We sampled their west coast oysters, frutti de mare linguine, and beef tenderloin. For dessert we enjoyed the passion fruit and mango pannacotta, and their chocolate baklava. We had the tantalus riesling and their toasted coconut margarita too. Honestly, it was all so amazing. Hats off to the kitchen who went above and beyond to accommodate my husband s allergies. Certainly worth the effort from our point of view! We will definitely eat here again when we next visit Kelowna, and big props to Jordan for his excellent service. Dietary restrictions: The kitchen accommodated wheat, soy, and almond allergies.
Sorry, we waited for a very long hour, I was already gnawing on a straw, it took a very long time for the food to arrive, I don t recommend it, it s okay to sit and chat and whine, but there s no food.
Your not expensive enough, you should charge more.
Customer service is very lacklustre, with young staff acting like it s a privilege for them to be here, serving patrons at their leisure. I ve dined and stayed at hotels, restaurants and clubs all over the world, and the service at this restaurant is 2-3 star, but at 4-5 star prices. Dog-friendly, but you have to alert staff at indoor entrance first (due to their rules and staff-shortage) rather than patio-beach entrance. Ate here a few times over weekend stay, all meals with the same poor service. Manager should give his/her head a shake.
Very bad customer service at the front desk, attendants at the desk said we had to wait 20 minutes, as we didnt have a reservation, but others went in before us even though they were told to wait after us. When others were asked to wait they noted down their names but when it came to us they did not. Not recommended if looking for basic customer service
Very bad service from the two hosts at the desk. They make me wait and wait. After 20 minutes of wait they told to wait again for another 20 minutes where three more guest came and the two hosts let them in .
Great food (came out a little slow) but still great Taylor our waiter was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. Even more impressive knowing that it was only his second day at this restaurant. Not sure if they food service is normally back up (it was about 2.5 hours for us) but well worth the wait regardless Kid-friendliness: Great kids menu, impressive portions presentations (and my kids actually ate it which shocked me even more) great value
Good products Beautiful presentation especially for desserts Lots of gluten-free dishes
Good surprise. Very good cuisine and elaborate presentation of dishes. A good time
Beautiful view and delicious food. A bit on the pricey side but worth at least trying it once for brunch with friends.
Really disappointed in our dinner there. I have tried to reach out to management to discuss my experience and I have not heard back from them despite my efforts. Hoping they will answer this review.
Excellent food that keeps you coming back for more. I d eat these mussels twice a week if I could. Service is top notch; Amy genuinely cared about our experience and made us feel at home
We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch here today on the patio! The view was beautiful, service was great, and our dog was thoroughly pampered. The dog menu was a nice touch!
First visit July 15, 2024. No reservation, greeted warmly, seated comfortably with a nice view. My mom ordered frito misto. Perfectly cooked and fresh only thing she disliked the sauce served with the dish. I ordered the risotto nero, at first glance I questioned the portion size. Did not seem like a lot of food for the price. Once the dish arrived I tasted the lemon jelly on the side and man was it delicious! After mixing in the dish I found that it was still quite bland. I asked for extra jelly and instantly the dish was amplified ! I am a local and overall it was a good experience. I will be back to try the pizza and pasta specials for $15. Next visit was July 16,2024. We did a complimentary wine tasting. I believe it was el dorado (mission hill) meritage. The bartender made sure we had a great experience and really catered to my mom. Specifically she brought lemon sparkling water to mix with the wine. It was a nice gesture and we really appreciated it. Parking: Park on lakeshore not sure if you can pay to park on the resort
My Mom, just got home and said the food was horrible.
The amount of food served was an embarrassment compared to the price. `
Food and drinks are good. Servers were pleasant and friendly, but didnt know the answers to some basic questions regarding dishes, one dish came out without the second half of it and had to track someone else down to get cutlery, slow drink service. Its a great patio, but service is lacking for the price point which is disappointing.
I would like to say a special thank you to the chefs, every dish was amazing, beautifully served and super tasty. But the service leaves much to be desired. Not only that, at the entrance, the girl and I were greeted with sidelong glances (although we look and dress pretty decently). We were shown to a table in a walk-through corridor, although there were many free tables much better than ours. The waiter himself did not smile even once. The most he did in service was bring the menu and the bill, because other waiters brought food, and only one kind girl poured water, who also told us that our jacket had fallen off the chair. The waiter also dropped my phone from the table and did not apologize. No one inquired at all about our food or drinks. Everything that was brought to us was simply quickly placed on the table, after which the person left. We saw no manners or professionalism. The atmosphere is super (not counting our seating in a half-empty restaurant), the food is super. The waiters and service at the entrance completely ruin the mood of the restaurant.
Lovely location for dinner looking out at the lake. Food was very good. The spanikopita was the highlight of our meal. The service was good, staff was friendly and helpful. Try the funghi pizza - great flavors!
We had a pleasant experience at Maestro s but the food left a bit to be desired. The spanikopita was excellent but everything else was a bit bland. Not bad, just not a tonne of flavour.
I am regularly so disappointed in charcuteries but this was amazing! Everything on it was delicious and the value was fantastic. Great to share among three people. Drinks were also great!
Staffs are super friendly. Food is exceptional!!! Price is very fair for the quality of food and service. Recommend - Lamb Rack with Risotto (chef special), Mussels, Crispy Pork Belly, Pizza. They have this exclusive red and white wine - Heirloom from Mission Hill, theyre must tries. I dont usually write Google reviews, but we love this restaurant so much!!
A little bit disappointed. Was introduced by the hotel/by the restaurant that this is supposed to be one of the best restaurants in the town, but wouldn t agree with the comment after trying most of the famous restaurants during my trip. The service is good. Super professional and patient. The manger/server asked the kitchen to recook my steak immediately after realizing it s overcooked. Nevertheless, it still tastes so so even it s cooked correctly. Anyway, the taste of the food, is not bad, but definitely doesn t worth this price. As mentioned, have tried most of the famous restaurants in the town, and I could get much better foods at other places at the same or even a bit lower price with roughly same amount of foods(few starters, wine pairing, main courses, cocktails and kids food). When talking about value , even consider the lake side dinning room(as introduced by the hotel, it s regular/normal food instead of a fancy meal) has a higher value taking into account that the foods there truly reflects its prices correctly. Originally planned to have more meals here during my stay, but didn t want to give it another try after having a lot of fancy meals in the town.
We visited the restaurant specifically for the fondue, excited for the experience. Our server was fantastic, but the food was a huge letdown. Initially, our server injured herself while trying to ignite the fondue pot, a mishap she mentioned occurs frequently. It was concerning to see, especially as a safer alternative like a lighter could prevent such accidents. The first course, the cheese fondue, arrived surprisingly cold, and the steak was tough to the point of being inedible. We found ourselves merely pushing our food around on the plate rather than enjoying it. Hoping for a redemption with dessert, we were disappointed again when the chocolate fondue was served cold. Our server took it back to microwave, which didnt seem right for such a dish. Overall, the experience was not worth the high cost. The quality was subpar, and we regretfully will not return.
We came in they the other friends were already seated. The hostess pointed halfway there ,where they are and walked away. The waitress never showed up for a least 12- 15 minutes. We were told that they are short staffed .The menu was explained and we ordered wine and a bottle Prosecco and a couple bottle of beer. The waitress had a really hard time pouring the wine ,the tables are very high for a short Person,( not her fault) We ordered food and they had no chicken ,lamb shanks or Osso bucco. The wine was never refilled the halibut fish was badly over cooked so was the steak. The only chicken roulade was good and the seafood linguine. The celeriac soup was really good too.The overall experience was really poor!We complained about the fish dish and the slow service. The maître d never came by to apologize or appeared at all !We spend well over $700.I can t recommend this place being short three items on a fancy restaurant like that. Vegetarian options: Not
We had booked a reservation for Wednesday March 13 for your restaurant with 2 friends and our guest from Australia. We were expecting a wonderful experience. The appetizers , dessert, expensive wine were amazing. Our server who managed despite being short staffed did an adequate job. When we ordered our mains, they were out of 3 of the selections. The host did not appear to care or offer any alternative that would be suffice. The halibut ( catch of the day) and steak was overcooked. We would have wished that we were informed of the staff shortage and minimal menu before we sat down. We would have gone somewhere else. Paula Thorburn and Craig Weddell
Fabulous experience. We enjoyed Friday fondue night. Our entire table was extremely impressed. From food to service we loved it all. Great place for locals or tourists to soak in the Okanagan spirit.
Terribly over salted soup and fries were overcooked and dry. Very disappointed after reading so many good reviews
We celebrated our New Year s eve dinner, and all we can say - We enjoy and had a great experience the food and staff were all amazing.
I took my mom and daughter here and absolutely loved the experience. The staff were incredible and friendly. The ambiance was amazing. And the food was spectacular. I had the mousaka and the Moroccan lamb shank an was blow away with how delicious it was. I highly recommend this place!
Went for happy hour. Service was excellent! Thoroughly enjoyed the food, wine, and beautiful setting. Will be back. Parking: Easy free parking
Tried it for first time during dinaround promotion - the food was amazing the manager Graham was so helpful and very friendly. We will definately be back. The pistachio baklava was outstanding!
I have had nothing but great experiences at Maestros! The food is absolutely tremendous (especially the Arancini and Souvlaki), and the team always does an amazing job at making the experience special. Hats off to Chef Alain, the kitchen, and the FOH staff on making this my go to date-night spot.
Great food and drinks, even better service from our server Lisa. All of her recommendations were on point!
Really enjoyed lunch here,. Arancini was the perfect texture in a rich tomato sauce. Followed by wild mushroom fettuccine with several other vegetables nicely presented in a delicious sauce. Our server was attentive and the lake view seated by the window was relaxing. Will definitely be going back here!
Good food nice atmosphere and great service
We visited your establishment for the 1st time a few weeks ago. The atmosphere, Décor and service were exceptional! My friend had the regular mushroom linguini which she found to bland and flavorless. I have gluten allergies and opted for the Ragu gluten free option, Which I also found to be not very flavorful and lacked seasonings. My pasta was overcooked!! Both dishes could have used more authentic Italian flavors such as herbs, garlic, and Parmesan Reggiano cheese. My GF pasta was overcooked, mushy and falling apart. One does assume that high $$ = great food. Reading your reviews.. A newer restaurant should WOW you right off the start not constantly be trying to improve the menu and strive to be better. A recipe for failure. Dietary restrictions: My GF pasta was overcooked, mushy and falling apart. There are many varieties of gf pasta on the market now and a blend of rice and quinoa have a better texture when cooked el dente and holds up well in a variety of dishes.. Just an idea for a better dinning experience with gf dietary restrictions.
They got the Negroni... spagliato... with prosecco in it (oh stunning) Dietary restrictions: Good vegan and gluten free options Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible parking. No stairs. Tables that accommodate a wheelchair or mobility scooter.
Fabulous restaurant that is also held together by its staff. Take our waitress on two occasions Aimee, could not ask for better service. She made our last two visits. Food also great quality.
A ton better than the Eldorado.
Very enjoyable quiet spot for a date. I feel like theyre doing everything right. Food
Maestros, hands down, is one of the best Mediterranean restaurants in the Kelowna area. The food quality, coupled with outstanding customer service, makes this restaurant a great choice for an excellent dinning experience!
Lakefront outdoor terrace is super nice, great and fresh food, awesome place for date or anniversary, we will come back for our anniversary. love it!
Had the feature dish on April 27, and it was amazing (lobster stuffed ravioli and salmon like fish with seasonal vegetables), it was a memorable taste explosion, I would recommend this restaurant, I wish I could stay longer to try their other menu items
I am giving a low rating due to the Manager of this establishment, who I believe treated us badly due to racial bias. We came in as a group for dinner, as we were being seated, the Manager made a rude comment to one of the guests. During dinner, one person from the group had an allergic reaction to something they ate. We mentioned the situation to the waiter, and he was very kind, considerate, and removed the meal from our table immediately. A short time later, the Manager appeared at our table, even though no one asked to speak to her. She stood over us, and began to aggressively question us about the situation, what we ordered, how we ordered...etc. She never once asked if the person who experienced the allergic reaction was okay. Instead of her showing concern, I felt like we were being interrogated! I kindly adived her that the allergic reaction was no ones fault and we werent looking for anything from the restaurant. Even after saying this, she continued to speak to us in a condescending and accusatory tone. She completely ruined the night for us with this unnecessary interaction! I strongly believe she did this because we were a group of people of colour, she simply didnt want us in her restaurant from the beginning.
Very amazing place next to dine next to the water. Food was quite delicious. Food
A wonderful experience start to finish. First time in years that we didnt feel hurried and our food arrived at a sedate pace. Loved being able to finish my appy and have a drink before my meal
The patio is the best in Kelowna. Quiet and beautiful view. The restaurant interior is very comfortable and elegant. Our waitress, Julie, was awesome and on top of everything. We enjoyed our appetizers and their delicious house made beet hummus. Everything is made in house. Our local wine from Stags Hollow was perfect with our seafood appie, our moussaka, and our amazing dessert. The Macaroons with dark truffle chocolate were to die for and the goat cheesecake with blackberry sherbet was incredible. Did I say fantastic with the wine. The assistant manager meandered the tables and was very knowledgeable with the local wine. Overall a wonderful night out for my husband birthday.
Amazing place
This was the best dining experience I have had in quite some time. The food and service was outstanding. I will definitely be back soon. Thanks so much!
The mussels were perfect, the sauce was like a cream & whitewine, it worked really well. The mussels were tender and delicious! The light breading on the calamari and shrimp was perfect and the garlic butter dip it was served with was just right. The patio is gorgeous, and the view is mesmerizing. They even offer you a blanket if you start to get chilly. Cute!
This is definitely a leg up for food in Kelowna. The food is worth the price point. The staff is excellent, our server Aimee was on point very knowledgeable. Fantastic cocktails, the Paloma & margs are delicious. Once again the food was delightful. Patio seating is welcoming with a stunning view.
Awesome location overlooking the lake, tasty food , great vibes, drinks from Cam and the crew were perfect. Very wheelchair accessible also.
Brunch was delicious! We had the salmon eggs benny and braised beef fricassee. Both portion sizes were perfect! Maestro s Caesars were a big hit as well. Thank you to Leo and Paige for the fabulous service. Will be back soon!
Amazing food, drinks, and service. We are regulars here for dinner when in Kelowna. 10/10 recommend for a nice date night. Their food is amazing.
The location is absolutely beautiful. Our waitress was kind and funny.. That said we ordered Tacos Pastore, the Bread with Olive add Tapenade plate and Halibut Ceviche. The Tacos Pastore were quite greasy and the pineapple Pico de Gallo was only made with pineapple and onion (no peppers, cilantro or fresh jalapenos), and it was clearly old as the pineapple was mushy and grey. The Olive and Tapenade plate came with rolls of bread and bread sticks. The breadsticks were hard and crispy as they should be but the roles were stale. The best thing on that plate was definitely the warmed olives which were delicious. The Ceviche was not good at all. The fish clearly wasnt cut properly because if you picked up one piece of fish it would string along another. It tasted fishy if you understand what I mean, which is unusual because Halibut is usually a very clean light tasting fish. Also the only thing in the ceviche was little pieces of onion and some tomato and the Tomato was mushy like it was days old. The chips that came with the ceviche were not made in house and were clearly store bought which isnt bad but you should know. I took my visiting parents to this restaurant and we did enjoy the view. My father also enjoyed a cup of cappuccino which apparently is supposed to be made by the waitress but she told us in a joking manner that shes not a good Barista and that we were very lucky that we had the bartender there to do it for her. We also truly enjoyed our time and conversation on the beautiful patio. If youre going to go to this restaurant and try these three things I would not recommend but again the ambience is gorgeous.
Fantastic resort-like atmosphere to get together with friends. We came here with a group for my partners birthday, and the staff were very accommodating to make it special. Our server, Jordan, was friendly and professional.
We were treated to a lovely dinner by friends. The service was great, and the view of the lake was spectacular. The time spent there was most enjoyable. Parking: You need to register your vehicle license plate to park in the main parking area.
Our server Kayla was great!! Food portion sizes were pretty decent, heavy cream sauce for the mussels but were still good! They have one of the best locations in the Okanagan.
Service is awesome! Servers are fantastic and drinks were amazing. Front hostesses seemed a bit confused one night when we asked about reservations and could not give a straight answer when we were walking in the hotel. We ended up booking by phone. Food was very poor for a restaurant of this caliber. Fish items weren t really a catch of great day, felt like frozen items that were heated up with bland taste. Some pastas were too salty or lacked flavour. Lamb koftas had a strong awful taste. Sauces were watery and weird. Only reason to mention this is that if the kitchen is improved this place would be an incredible experience given the waterfront view and the amazing friendly and professional service of the staff
New chef; New menu; very different experience. Tapas were generous, very nicely flavoured, combined well with each other. Shrimp and avocado salad was shareable size and interesting taste touch. Nearby customers were raving about their Caesars. So happy the new management finally got the replacement for SmackDab in the mark.
Absolutely LOVED Maestros! The food was beyond delicious and our server Lisa was simply amazing! Relaxed atmosphere...wonderful surroundings. Would highly recommend the arancini, spanakopita, lamb chops and tenderloin. Thanks for a wonderful and thoroughly enjoyable time!
Such a beautiful restaurant! Lovely ambiance and tasty food.
My wife and I were looking for a new place in Kelowna to celebrate our anniversary. We stumbled upon Maestro s and we are very happy that we did. We sat on the patio, which was beautiful and the lounge and dining room were very charming as well. We shared the lamb appetizer and had the capicola pizza and lamb burger for our main. It was all delicious and excellent portions, we couldn t finish it all. Our server, Julia, was so nice and took great care of us. She even brought out a small dessert to say happy anniversary. This was a great experience! We will definitely be back to try their lunch and the tapas happy hour. Give it a try, you won t be disappointed.
Beautiful view in this restaurant. Nice decor. Service is ok. But the food...Had the saganaki appetizer. Wasnt very tasty and the presentation left a lot to be desired. Just melted cheese in a pile. Then had the lamb chops. The chops were cooked ok with an average sauce on them but the rice was dry and tasted stale. Something the waitress told us others complained about too. The couple at the table next to us complained that their pasta was cold. The only good thing we had to eat was the pizza. It was tasty. When it came to settling up on the bill the hostess offered us free dessert (a nice gesture) but given that the food to that point wasnt good - no thanks. Wouldnt eat here again. Might come for a drink though as the atmosphere is nice. Quite disappointed in the meal.
Friendly staff and delicious food. Amazing atmosphere
Reserved a table for 5 for a dinner , were not given a table but the option of a high bar top or a sectional. Arrive was not helpful, though friendly, did not clear dishes until asked, all the small things that you expect from a nice restaurant were missing on their service. Food was not great, one dish out of 5 was enjoyed (Halibut) The location by the lake is nice.
Had the olives & house baked bread to start, bread was stale except for the pita bread. Service was good; except got the wrong mocktail at the very end. Shawarma was flavourful and tender. Overall, it was a good experience.
5 star experience all together, staff were awesome and attentive. The outdoor patio is beautiful and very nice on a sunny Oakanagan day. The prices are on the low side for the quality of food, I assume they will increase when the word gets out. Steak was perfectly cooked, and the potatoes with it were the best I ve ever had. Making this a stop every time I visit Kelowna (2x yearly)
Love the ambiance and the warm elegant decor at Maestro s. Has a nice outdoor patio too . The Halibut dish was excellent ! Wine selection very good. Our server Lisa B was exceptional ! Lisa B goes above and beyond with her ability to give an awesome dining experience ! Friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and always smiling. Our evening was made even more enjoyable and memorable having Lisa B as our server ! Thank you ! Highly recommend Maestro s Restaurant!
This was a pit stop on our wine tour and it was quite the buzzkill. The service was incredibly slow and the food was average at best. We were sat near the kitchen and we watched our main dishes sit for 20 minutes before they were served to us.
Our server Katie was fantastic! Coupled with meeting the lovely manager leopold! Food and drinks were executed with elegance. Lovely experience, applause to the Bartenders and kitchen staff!
Tourist trap. You are paying for view not the food or service. Despite having reservation weeks in advance we were given high table or bar option, food was mediocre and over priced. Staff are rude and indifferent. Food
The food was delicious, cocktails are good, the view is a plus, I highly recommend this place
The food was pretty good but pricey. Limited selection. The waitress was attentive and kind.
Food was good, but avoid the really expensive items. I tried the lobster and shrimp risotto and it was overpriced and under seasoned. Stick to their more casual fare.
Came here for lunch and since the menu was revamped, it s definitely worth the visit. The menu spans across a wide range of Mediterranean cuisine, as well as Canadian classic favorites such as burgers. Service was 4/5 because we had to ask our server multiple times to remove our plates from our table after we were done eating, as wasps kept swarming us. By the third time we asked, she came and took the plates away. Atmosphere is lovely as it s situated along a gorgeous sunset view of Lake Okanagan. Food: Ahi Tuna Niçoise.
Great food, ambience, views across the lake from the patio and above all excellent service! We went for a team lunch and we re extremely happy with both the food and quick service.
The food was okay but the service was terribly, terribly slow. Despite its fantastic location, unfortunately there isn t room in Kelowna for a fairly expensive restaurant that can t provide consistency.
Had a first date here but the food was not that Mediterranean. Risotto might as well have been just oatmeal with unseasoned shrimp in it
Local, but not big restaurant goer. Ive been to Maetros three times this year alone. The place always impresses. Being right on the lake, make for great views, even on a grey fal day. The food is consistently good. The staff are what you hope for at every restaurant, courteous, helpful, present, and not disruptive, it just makes the experience that much better. Truly, for the experience, and food quality, they are very reasonably priced. Somehow they nail the bougie, but flip flops and beach wear would be fine vibe. Absolutely recommend.
If you had asked me in the summer I would have praised the place. As a local who dines out more than I care to say the menu change was a fabulous improvement. The food is delicious and the staff are great. Then summer is over, and it s closing time now which is too bad as a local I highly recommended this place especially for a those spur of the moment lunches.
So we had a lovely dinner here on a Wednesday evening which coincided with salsa night. Really enjoyed the atmosphere. G&Ts are very well done. Unique Italian whites by the glass. Wife had beef bourguignon and together with beet salad gave it 5 stars! I thought the salad was very good and my halibut with leek and potato with tomato salsa would have been amazing but for the fact that the halibut was possibly too thin and chef let it cook a minute too long rendering the seared exterior to leather while the inside was dry. Novice mistake in my mind. Halibut needs to be taken off nearly rare and let to cook standing. Oh well still had a wonderful time and will be back to try more if this creative menu but pleaser don t over cook your fish!
Service was great thats why I gave a two stars on a review and the view was just amazing, but paying that price for such a little amount of food is just ridiculous. The seafood clams and mussels werent even opened, which tell us a lot about the quality and freshness of the seafood.
Similar to the other reviewer, we found the service to be strong but seafood was not fresh, considering that s 2/3rds of their menu. Similar to the other reviewer, our clams were also served sealed shut, which is a fair bit concerning. Hoping by posting this review they sort things out soon. I want to love this place for the view / patio. They were also out of all white wine and, two days ago, had no cider. Then served the rotating cider warm. Hopefully startup pains.
We decided to have a late lunch at Maestros last week a couple of weeks after opening. This deco is spectacular inside and out, great vibe for a cocktail, lunch or dinner. The new patio looks fantastic especially with the trees and fountains. Service was friendly, food was excellent no other restaurant in the Okanagan offers this style of cuisine. Maestros Restaurant is a great new edition to the Okanagan.
Service was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Nice selection for share plates and main plates. Warm olives and bread Appie was a nice start. Paella was a hit as well. Will be back, looking forward to sitting on the patio by the lake.
Had an incredible business lunch, awesome to have international cuisine locally.
Kyle, Brad, Gillian, and the whole team at Maestro make sure you have an unforgettable experience! I stopped by for some cocktails before heading out. The Costa Del Sol & Barcelona were fantastic! The interior is very chic and their patio has mesmerizing views of the lake! Will be back to try their food as well
We came in for happy hour and a bite to eat. We ordered the tuna crudo and the paella. I found the seafood to be fresh and delicious and the cocktails unique and tasty. The limencollo was like being in Italy. The view is incredible. We will try to come back soon to enjoy the excellent food, patio and beautiful view. Thank you!
Very pleasing environment with a modern Mediterranean aesthetic. The patio is inviting and relaxed. The food is as visually appealing as the space. I enjoyed the variety of flavours especially with a tasty red wine called Da Silva from Naramata. And the staff are top notch!
The location is great and the restaurant is beautiful. Service was good. Tables were too close together. Do not order the crudite of vegetables and lavish. Worst thing Ive ever had at a restaurant! Three dips were served...only 2 tablespoons in each bowl. They had no flavor. The vegetables were floating on a plate of melted ice and the lavish was so hard it was inedible. Very disappointing. Doubt I will ever go back. Too bad since the deck is lovely.
Very disappointed with the change from Smack Dab to the new restaurant Maestro meditranian. Your menu is very limited, we dined there last evening with my husband and 93 year old mother-in-law. Very pricey for what you get, my husbands steak had so much grizzle on it, and our dishes were very salty. We dined along on your patio when you were smack dab, brought our kids, grandkids. Wont be able to this summer as there is nothing on your menu for children. Dont understand the change lots of memories on that patio. We will not be back, very sad. Sometimes fixing something that wasnt broken is the mistake! Sandra Sgambaro
Beautiful view that is the one star. Very small portions, expensive and small selection on the menu. Sorry you changed Smack Dab to this very disappointed. Last time we eat at this place. Looking forward to a new restaurant coming soon they will not last with that poor selection and quality.
Coming from the perspective of a person with a gluten allergy and dairy allergy, this restaurant was notably one of the most enjoyably accommodating places I have been in Kelowna. The best handmade gluten free pizza crust that was soft and thin. Knowledgable staff that was able to alter most dishes to accomodate my needs
Amazing lunch Finally different food is offer in Kelowna!!
Awesome dinner! The paella was the best I ve ever had, and a very generous amount of seafood. Definitely coming back
I attended to Maestros for the first time tonight during a girls trip. Our group of 4 had the pleasure of meeting Bradley. Bradley was the most impeccable, kind, sweet, & funny person Ive had the experience of being served by. He was patient, informative and paid great attention to detail. If Maestros continues to hire wonderful & magical people like Bradley, then theyll always have my reservation & commitment. It was a great first time experience, worth it for sure.
An excellent experience! Its my wifes birthday and we just had the best afternoon you could ask for. Lakeside sangrias and appetizers, the food was delicious, the happy hour prices were a steal and our server Bradley was exceptional! 11/10 Our new favorite place and would recommend to everyone whether you live in Kelowna or are passing through you have to check it out. You will not be disappointed!
Absolutely delightful....... from beginning to end. Coming in...having the parking valet treat me with utmost respect...a very friendly young fella...YAY.....so polite !! Front reception....YES !!! Full of smiles...friendliness... and positive vibes. Kathy was Stupendous...attentive...super friendly....radiated an air of happiness and freedom and fun...YAY Sat with an old school chum for over 3 hours... was amazing... Kathy was the best hostess/server I have come across in many many years. I remember a server years ago with the similar flair back in Ottawa...1982 !! Very rare...very SPECIAL. Thank you Kathy...I will return...but will ask to be paced in your section !!! Appreciated the wonderful service... :) Cheers, Mama Bear (Mariana)
We had a wonderful time with a large party in their view room. It was my moms 50th and we wanted to host a surprise party for her. The staff did a phenomenal job at serving us and keeping the party organized. Aimee was our server and she was absolutely AMAZING. She was chatting with everyone, always checking in to make sure we were okay, making sure everyone had drinks or some sort of food. She was one of the most genuine servers I ve ever had a pleasure of encountering. The food was amazing and they were happy to accommodate any special needs or allergies. Overall a wonderful experience. Highly recommend this restaurant!!!!
Formerly Smack Dab, this Manteo restaurant is ever as charming and picturesque as before. The waterfront views as you eat your meal is simply spectacular. We stopped by for some dessert after dinner and watched the sun set. Staff was very friendly and professional. Good value for the location.
Amazing experience! Server Julie was amazing! Thank you
Absolutely phenomenal, the food is fantastic, and the location is even better. The prices aren t extreme for the quality of food you are getting. Better the Eldorado Restaurant next door. It s crazy how they aren t more busy. The staff were so accommodating and welcoming and we will definitely come back again.
Heard the food had small portions but I ate mine with plenty of leftovers. Kyle the bartender was amazing as always and Aimee the waitress gave 10/10 service. May be back if good goes a little more mainstream. Desserts were INCREDIBLE- best cheesecake Ive ever had. Thanks !!!
A true lakefront fine dining experience in Kelowna s Eldorado area. Service was top notch and the food was excellent. Best cheesecake I ve ever had anywhere in the world!
Outstanding! On the most gorgeous lakeside patio in Kelowna. Shared the crudite of vegetables lavash for starters and paella for main course. Both beautifully presented and very tasty. Had decaf Americanos which were freshly made. All in all a lovely evening. Will definitely be going again.
My family of 6 just had dinner here and everyone s meals were amazing. Katherine was our server and she was the perfect blend of attentive, knowledgeable and fun. We will be back soon.
Had a fantastic dinner! Our server Aerin and the manager Leo provided excellent service. Views from the patio were amazing. We really enjoyed the food. Will be back!
Friendly staff but current menu offerings are unmemorable and over-priced. Patio has also lost its vibe as the restaurant changes seem to be attracting an older crowd. I much prefer the Eldorado or Basil & Mint at this point. I look forward to Maestro tinkering with the concept and Im sure it will come around.
Sadly, mediocre food and service. Misleading menu for dietary options. In spite of GF options, needed to explore the accuracy of listed meal content, contradictory! Beautiful patio setting.
Remarkable. Great atmosphere, food, and music. Excellent service.
It was my friends birthday so we decided to try Maestro s Mediterranean Kitchen for the first time. We sat on the patio which was an amazing view. However I found the menu limited and the food was mediocre. Portion sizes were also small. I was excited by the idea of a Mediterranean restaurant as I love the food but even what was offered was uninspired. With the higher prices I expected a more refined menu. I think the only hits were the gyros and souvlaki. But I can get that multiple places in town. I asked for a piece of garlic bread or bread with my pasta and was given plain warm pita. They offered other breads which would have been a nicer accompaniment.
We had lunch here and the food was amazing. Service was absolutely wonderful and it is such a beautiful spot. Enjoying lunch while looking out of the lake was so nice. I will enjoy this spot again.
In love with this place.. Especially their pistachios baklava with Okanagan honey ice cream one of the finest dessert I ever had in my whole life time.. Thanks for serving us delicious food
Soup was fabulous
Meh. Food is mediocre. The fries were sad and floppy. Mussels lacked punch and flavour. Service was meh - kept walking away while I was placing orders. Slow to clear our plates - even slower to ask about bringing us the cheque. Meh. Not worth the high price tag. #bringbacksmack
Wonderful professional service paired with great food, cocktails, and wine, a definite must try and must go back and try some more!
Wow!!! For an absolutely amazing dining experience I highly recommend Maestro s Mediterranean Restaurant at Eldorado Resort. As soon as we entered the Manteo s Resort we were welcomed by both the Maestro s Hosts and the Hotel Agents!! From that moment on Excellent Customer Service was a definite priority through our entire dining experience!!! The entire team at Maestro s went above and beyond to provide the ambiance and level of quality that Guests would expect at a high end establishment! Thank you for making our evening such a special one! Looking forward to our next visit!!!
Although the staff were delightful and helpful this was not a pleasant experience. My partner and I ordered similar pasta dishes. Hers was noticeably smaller than mine (M). Both of ours had undercooked noodles, undercooked vegetables and sparse sauce resulting in a mealy, unpalatable dish. The quality was hardly appropriate for home-cooked much less semi-fine dining. We ate on a particularly busy night, so that might be a factor. We have no desire to eat here again. Dietary restrictions: They accommodated gluten and dairy free options well, although the kitchen seemed to struggle cooking gluten-free noodles. The noodles also seemed low quality.
Beautiful view and great service. Will try again.
Amazing service, delicious food and a beautiful place!
Gillian is awesome
My partner and I had an amazing dinner service at Maestro s last night! The restaurant aesthetic was gorgeous! Lisa was our server and she was absolutely amazing! She definitely made it a wonderful experience. The drinks were great too! & The food was even better - well done chef Kyler fantastic job! We loved every bite. Definitely will be back! :)
Very nice place fabulous patio to enjoy in the warmer months
Chef Vikram thank you for your recommendation, hospitality and great food every time. 5 Stars to you for being the star of Eldorado cuisine and service.
