OAK + CRU Social Kitchen & Wine Bar in Kelowna

I ve always wanted to try this place, and I finally did. The vibe is great, but I m a bit confused by the pricing. Some appetizers are priced similarly to the mains, which doesn t quite make sense. The food was okay, but the service was incredibly slow . The ube drink didn t taste anything like ube at all . We decided to order dessert to share and asked the Asian server about the blueberry crumble. After showing us what it looked like, we opted for a crème brûlée instead because I m not a fan of chiffon/bread-like desserts. She brought us the spoon after a 5-minute wait, and we ended up waiting another 20 minutes for the dessert, only to find out it was the blueberry crumble after all. We tried it but weren t happy with it, so my friend kindly requested the bill and mentioned that there had been a misunderstanding with the order. We didn t want to make a fuss, just wanted to let her know to be more attentive next time. Instead of apologizing, she explained that she thought it was the correct order and even defended that it wasn t chiffon. No apology, no acknowledgment just an explanation.

Almost $40 for fish and chips seems crazy expensive, but maybe thats the going rate now in this insane world?

Went to Oak and Cru with some friends when I was visiting Kelowna. I wish I could leave a better review but the server Morgan was horrendously inappropriate as she interjected herself into our conversations to thump her bible at us and kept telling us Jesus is the way.

They have decided to turn the atmosphere into a bar scene where the music is so loud you cannot possibly have a conversation with your friends. So disappointing. Read the room management, turn up the music for the young people after 9:00 pm!!!

We ordered two fish n chips and they were dripping in oil I sent mine back the other was my wife s and out of two pieces of fish only one could be eaten the batter also horrible also dripping never again would I order fish n chips there again and the two piece fish n chips $45 taxes in

Such a good place to bring kids! It s a bit pricey but the food is delicious and it s a great vibe.

I was here last Thursday morning, oct 17th and I still remember the nice service I received. The lady who led me and my fam to our table was very friendly and our server was super friendly. I unfortunately forgot their names. They were delightful and they really brought life to the restaurant. The avocado toast was delicious, the sauce was a tiny bit avocadoey but I guess thats why its called the avocado toast. The serving was huge and the views are beautiful. I recommend this place.

Food was excellent, views are awesome, service was friendly! Will definitely be back! The fried chicken sandwich with yam fries were so good, I was sad when I finished my meal.

I will never eat Breakfast here again. Breakfast used to be great and today, I got avacodo on toast saturated in sauces and pesto with the egg not according to what I asked for. This was on ONE piece of toast for $22! My husband ordered the 2 egg Breakfast that came sparse, low quality sausages, 1 piece of toast and nothing special for $18. The service and ambience is wonderful though. Next time, toast and coffee only.

Amazing staff, super friendly. Good breakfast spot. Try the poutine breakfast and mushroom toast. They have a breakfast buffet as well. Great view of the water.

The patio is beautiful and in the cooler fall nights the heaters make it an enjoyable experience that way. My wife and I made reservation, the greeter was super friendly. Our food and beverage service on the patio was lack luster is the nicest way I can describe it. Our server wasnt attentive he seemed to just kind of float around but never seemed to come back to our table to check and see how beverages where tasting or if we need more. We order wings for an appetizer they seemed like when you took the first bite it was cooked but they werent cooked enough. Just all and all it was disappointing even more so as it took over 40 mins to order a starter and over 50 mins after we had finished the wings to see if we where ready to order anything else.

Had the mushroom burger. One of the best burgers I ever had.

Stopped in for a quick drink & it did not disappoint. We had espresso martinis and our server suggested adding baileys foam on top. WOW! That was a game-changer. Great presentation and a beautiful lake view.

It took way too long after we finished our drinks and requested a bill to finally get the heck out of this place. Felt trapped, if we leave thats illegal, but we cant just sit here all night asking different servers for our bills (we asked 3 times in the end).

Came here for a bachelorette recently with Sophie as our server. Drinks took 30 mins to come. Then, my good didn t come with the rest of the table I had to flag her down and bring it up and she said there was some kind of issue with the computer.. Lastly, Asked for our bills a few times and had to wait 30-40 mins for her to come back ? We even flagged down other services. Many tables around us were annoyed as well. It was so bad we got up to find her to pay our bill. Finally she told us she was having issues trying to split the bill ? If that was what was going on she should have approached us and we would have put our table of 6 under one card instead of waiting there for 40 mins long. It was ridiculous. Only nice thing I have to say was the view on the patio was lovely .

Had a fabulous lunch today at Oak and Cru. Food was excellent and my server Claire was exceptional. Best experience in a long time!

Really great atmosphere with a well balanced options for food and drink menu. We would have ordered a second round of drinks but our waiter didn t come around to offer, took some points off for that.

Had such an amazing evening this long weekend with my girlfriend and her family! Sanjay was an amazing server for us and was so accommodating to our situation and made our night absolutely wonderful. So nice having a spot in the Okanagan where we can come as locals and really enjoy the amazing place we live with great food and great wine!

We came recently after a long hiatus from Oak and Cru. The food was so amazing. Crispiest wings ive ever had, burger was perfectly cooked to medium and the taquitos were crunchy and full of flavour. Presentation was also on point. New Exec Chef is putting out amazing food. Our server was absolutely amazing too and you cant beat the patio views ! Highly recommend!

Went there for drinks and apps. We set at a nice table on the patio. The food was delicious. You must try the ahi tuna crispy rice bites and the taquitos. But the best part was our server Sanjay. He is extremely friendly, gave excellent tips for the food and for our visit in Kelowna. He made sure we had an awesome experience.

Frequently visit the hotel during our stay, weve visited for breakfast and brunch as well as many dinner events. I will say that the menu is lacking and the only thing that keeps us coming back is the beautiful service and ambience. They do have a good selection of cocktails and wine which is good if you are not visiting the restaurant for a meal. Hopefully the menu will evolve and more options will be added to the beautiful space.

Super slow service, calamari wouldve been nice if it wasnt so salty even for my liking..ribs super dry. Definitely wouldnt come here for food. Its a nice and lively place to have a drink or two but even drinks are pricey.

We are staying at the Grand with our pup and made a reservation for 7 pm on their patio. I think they forgot about us several times and did not have enough serving staff. It took over an hour to get 1 order of fish and chips and dessert to go. We only had water (which is maybe why they didn t view us as a priority). No one asked how our meal was. One of the pieces of fish was completely overdone and half the size of the other. The crème brûlée was ok - the peach sorbet was excellent. We will not be going back :( - many people who periodically came to tend to us were friendly and apologetic but it didn t really leave us feeling satisfied. Modifying review as we had 2 breakfasts (included at a decent price with room). The food and service were excellent. Overall review is 4 stars. Dinner and service on Saturday evening remains a 2 star. The buffet is great value and the classic breakfast as well as omelette with seasonal berries were executed well - smokey tomato chutney was amazing.

I liked how our individual servers was kind, helpful and politeful. We originally sat in the sun but ultimately wanted to sit inside, which they helped us with not much difficulties.

Will not recommend. Staff were disorganized. Food was terrible. I ordered the squash spaghetti and we ate only 10% of it, waaaaay too sweet.

Had an amazing time there with my friends the other day. Got some great recommendations on food and drinks. Didn t feel rushed at all, was a very enjoyable time. I had the most amazing experience with my server Sonja. She greeted us with a warm tender smile and made sure we had everything we needed for a phenomenal dining experience. She is fast on her feet and I watched her provide impeccable service to not only my table but everyone in her section. Thank you! I ll be back :)

Amazing service, Great food!

To bad you have to cut your own burger or sandwich or it s a extra 2$ for the kitchen staff per plate. Must not pay well that they have to add that on. Add that to families with kids that cant open their tiny mouths or want to take half home. Travellers with kids go to earls!

We walked through the hotel and Oak & Cru this evening as we made our way to the boardwalk. The lagoon is gorgeous so we turned around and wanted to stay for a beverage. Went to the host stand, let her know we were there for one drink. We were warmly greeted and promptly sat. We then sat there for over 10 minutes with no absolutely zero acknowledgement of our presence. Not even eye contact and a nod. We both work in hospitality, are extremely understanding and have the ability the recognize when service staff are tied up. This was definitely not the case. Not in a hurry to return. Which is shame as we loved our honeymoon stay at this hotel.

Everything about this place was amazing!

Decided to give this place another try after 5+ poor experiences in a row (clearly we are slow learners). We walked over after dinner at Cactus Club (incredible service fyi), with out-of-town guests for an after dinner drink. Every experience has been the same, no acknowledgement waiting for a table, finally get to a table and wait another 10 minutes for a server to come with menus, another 15 minutes (I actually timed it) for drinks to come and never saw our server again. We would have loved another round or two. Tables around us also seemed to be looking for service. We eventually just got up and walked out, no one even seemed interested in taking our money. Such a shame, beautiful place, the band was fantastic and had people dancing, the view is amazing the one round of drinks we did get were really good.

Best calamari I think I ve ever had, and our server was very nice.

The food is delicious but we went on a day of live music (Sunday 7pm to 9pm) and the volume was EXCESSIVELY loud that we could barely talk. They cook only with Canola Oil and I think a restaurant like this could give more alternatives for people who DO NOT consume seed oils. I would love to see them improve on that, because I like the place overall.

I thought this was going to be an average breakfast but was very shocked with the food! Ordered the breakfast poutine and the portion was substantial and very delicious. The waiter was also very nice and helped us get sorted.

Omg .. no words!!! Amy on the patio is an absolute DOLL! Such friendly service, and very quick. Delicious cocktail - Chai My Sour . Yum!! And this tuna poke tower is divine! Light crispy wontons with flavourful sauces need I say more?? And the view is gorgeous, even on a cloudy day. 10/10 would recommend!!!

Recently went with friends, this was my first time here and have to be honest the menu choices were odd, this restaurant is in a hotel and perhaps their menu is cattering to guests that are passing through, the inside is loud and the outside if windy is cold, their heaters were not working that well. I had the Tuna Nicoise Salad I thought it was going to be more on the warmer side in taste but it was very cold, could be improved, I finished the salad only because it was expensive for a small salad, I like the tuna though the rest of the salad did not compliment it at all. My friends enjoyed their meals but also thought for the experience and what was offered was expensive, we all want to feel good spending our money in an establishedment and leave with a nice experience. I felt the menu did not flow, I may try this restuarant again but I would not eat here for a meal, maybe best for happy hour and shareables is more what this restuarant is.

Food is great, service is horrendous...if you can even get someone to come to your table and serve you. We were seated and waited for almost 20min with no service. We watched the servers seat people around us and then take their orders. Even the girl who seated us started waiting a table right beside us that was seated after us. No acknowledgement, not even offered water. We left. Wont go back.

Awful service and over priced.

Brought my boys in here for some late night snacks. Staff took great care of my boys. Will be coming back and telling my friends and family about this amazing location.

We just came in to Kelowna, from a long trip from Edmonton, and the first place that we decided to stay and relax at was OAK + CRU. Honestly, at the very beginning once we walked in, we were quite excited for a proper dinner with a great view alongside. However, we were quite disappointed when the hostess didn t seem very friendly, and once we asked to be seated outside on the patio, she said she only had one table that was on the side of the restaurant, but it is still considered outside area. We have agreed to it, but once we saw the area we were quite devastated (there were patio set, extra tables and chairs, heaters and just miscellaneous stuff that didn t fit anywhere else). It was literally just like a spare area and what seemed to be more of a lounge area for the guests of the hotel rather than the part of the restaurant. We have sat there for about 30 minutes, but saw a lot of empty tables on the main patio where everyone else was seated. It was very windy, and overall taking away from the experience at our table, so we asked our server whether there was a spare table in the main outdoor area, and he said he ll check and came back with the good news. We didn t quite understand why we haven t been seated in that area to begin with and were strangely surprised. Our server Senjay, on the other hand was extremely polite and friendly and went above and beyond! Extremely satisfied with his service, and if it wasn t for him, our experience would have been completely ruined!

Thursday evening we had a group of 9 Including 5 children. The service and orders are extremely slow. It took an hour and a half for food. Server was aloof. When children ordering the waiter rolled eyes. When one of the adults spilled their drink He ignored us and walked past. Didnt offer to help clean up or ask if we wanted another drink. One of the passing staff made a joke about all the used up napkins And joked about kids and walked away. One of the other staff notices us go through all the tables napkins and offered some more. At bill time 1.5 hours later 20% was added to the bill. We disagreed with the amount due to the horrible service and wait. The waiter shrugged and would not allow us to change the amount. He said it was due to a table of 45 that came and the bar and food service were slow. There was one bar tender on. I work with the restaurant service and couldn t believe our experience. We are also staying as guests. Ive seen the canned you are valuable customer and we take this seriously Responses with little followup. I dont anticipate a different response, restitution or retention attempt. Please prove me wrong.

The food overall doesnt taste good... Steak, Pasta, Salad, Dessert, Sherbet...all of them are tasteless. The sherbet doesn t even have a spoonful of ice cubes in it. Something that was soaked a long time ago... I strongly tell you, never come back...

I don t recommend the breakfast here. Ordered classic breakfast, kids breakfast, and avocado toast. Sausages were cold, interesting preparation of hash browns - 3x battered baby potatoes - but were rock hard and cold, no flavour, & no seasoning on scrambled eggs. It s too bad, we wanted to be able to come back here since it s so convenient. Servers were friendly and great.

My son, husband and I visited this restaurant when we were in town for a hockey tournament. The food was awesome especially because Im gluten intolerant which makes it so hard to eat out. I had the chicken wings salt and pepper, Ive never had wings like that anywhere gluten free, so good. Also a few other things that I tasted were great too and the food my husband and son had that wasnt gluten free they really enjoyed. Not only the food was amazing our server, I think her name was Bree. She was the best server I have ever had in my entire life. When we visit Kelowna this is the place we will come to again. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Amazing food and service!

Been looking forward to do the luminescence experience for a long time. I booked it tonight with my friends for my birthday dinner. Underwhelming. I know servers are just human too and maybe ours was having a bad day/time. It just felt like the whole night, it was a hassle to serve us based on his voice tone and demeanor. But I have expectations if the minimum order price is $250 with a required 18% gratuity. The prices of the menu items and drinks were on the higher end so you d think they d be good. I barely tasted my cocktails, pretty generous with the ice in it. Beef stew wasn t anything special neither. This is only my personal experience. But I should ve went somewhere else. 2 years later I gave this place a try again. I brought my mom in for their Mothers Day brunch. First, I felt like the greeter/hostess at the buffet had a dismissive demeanour, or maybe I took it the wrong way? Nonetheless, the interaction did not feel welcoming. Furthermore, She proceeded to lead us to the ballroom for a table. I saw they had tables outside set up and I asked to sit there as it was nice out. There was no issues there but after we sat down, she did not say a word. I was just confused because do we like start now and get our food? or are we waiting for a server? I dont really care if there was a server or not, just was not sure what to do. We decided to just get up and started going to the buffet then a server did come and said he was serving our table, I wouldve waited if I known but yeah, the hostess did not say a thing. Now the server. Since its a buffet, it seems like our server was there for our drinks for the most part. We were there for 2 hours and during that time, our waters were only refilled once and I only got to have two cocktails when I was planning to have more. Every time I tried getting the servers attention, what I received was a hesitant glance back and he seemed unsure the whole time if he should come or not. We did not even have utensils set up on our table. Now please dont get me wrong. I wouldve been honestly fine getting my own water, my own utensils, and my own cocktails if they had like maybe a self serve area somewhere. I mean its a buffet. I was not sure if there was but nobody told us if there was so I assumed the server would take care of the drinks. The biggest reason Im leaving this review is the 20% mandatory service charge on top of our bill I was presented with at the end of our meal. That was just the cherry on top. Honestly, I felt offended at that point. Maybe I missed it when I made the reservation online that it was mandatory and I always tip when I eat out but based on everything I said, I absolutely do not think that the service deserved 20% on top of my bill. The buffet was 80$ per person before taxes. Personally, if it was mandatory to charge a 20% service fee, at least make it feel like it was worth giving you that money. Management left a reply to my first review before saying that it would be better if I ever gave it another chance. Im open to the possibility too that maybe I got lucky again and got a server that was having a bad day but to me, if you are going to charge that much money and have mandatory services charges, make it feel like it is worth it paying that money. There was one staff there that was walking around smiling and greeting everybody, she had a welcoming presence. Maybe she was that manager? I wished we interacted with her instead the whole time and it would have felt like it was money well spent. I would not bother leaving these reviews if the prices matched the experience, which was underwhelming.

Enjoyed a wonderful time at @oakandcru with our server Monique! Shes absolutely amazing, and the food and drinks at Oak and Cru are simply delicious. Cant wait to go back again soon! Favourite cocktails were the Aperol Spritz and Extended Summer. Their beef carpaccio sushi was excellent and you have to try their chicken wings! This place was amazing. Food was delicious and service was phenomenal! We had Andrea as a server, and she was so kind and on top of everything. She had the best recommendations, checked in on us often to make sure it was just how we wanted. Our water and drinks never went empty and you can just tell she knows her stuff. Absolutely loved her personality and the vibes of the place in general. Highly recommend Oak and Cru!

Staycation at the Delta, with dome dining + several additional visits to the Oak + Cru for the amazing Caesars! Monique was our server for dome dining, wow! such great food and service. It was a magically weekend and why the Delta will get our business again in the near future. Highly recommend, dont miss the Dome - chocolate hazelnut mousse dessert.

Food and drinks were okay (not worth the price though). The service was bad. We were neglected the whole time we were there as the server was behind the bar chatting away with someone. My friend had a 1 month old with us so the visit was supposed to be quick, there was only two other couples there. The server didn t even ask how the food was. Then we waited a long time for the bill. After STILL giving a 10% tip we saw her staring us down like she deserved a bigger one.

Food was delicious and well presented but portions were incredibly small especially for the astronomical pricing. Unfortunately we had a very disengaged, uninterested and absent server so we were disappointed there however the ambiance was lovely and it s a great location with wonderful views of the lake.

Great breakfast in the morning. They were Able to move us close to the water. Gave 4 stars for atmosphere because if you were at a table more within the hotel I think that would impact your experience. Recommended if looking for an upscale breakfast.

We came as a walk-in group for New Years not expecting a whole lot, but we were blown away by the quick seating and excellent service from our server, Travis. We were checked on promptly, with very friendly interactions. We were given noise makers and champagne to bring in the New Year, it made the evening a lot more spectacular!

Your staff always provide excellent service and go above and beyond to make us feel welcome and well-cared for. Monique, Cassy, and Bree are just a few of your delightful servers and today Id like to give a particular shout-out to Ciara! Weve become regulars on Tuesday nights, enjoying a half-price bottle of wine (our fave is the Noble Ridge Meritage) and the best burger and Caesar salad in town (Thank You Chef!) Ciara has been our most frequent server on Tuesday evenings - she always greets us with a lovely smile, and always knows our order by heart. She pays close attention to our preferences, immediately bringing us the larger wine glasses, ensuring there is extra cheese on the burger and a generous helping of fries and salad. She makes us feel special as she serves us with warmth, grace, and efficient style every week! Got a table at outside patio, heated with blankets, nice view. Courteous, fast service. Ordered salmon Benedict, english muffin not toasted, too soft, expected to have smoked salmon, but doesnt feel like, hashbrown appears like baked potatoes.. But overall tasty. Food

2022-12-27 Pure Canadian style brunch breakfast; the same price as Vancouver but a huge portion; The coffee is relatively strong and bitter. People who like strong coffee recommend the coffee here; although there is breakfast, there is also cappuccino, which is good. The service is also good, some of the waiters are quite handsome; because it is in the Delta Hotel, we don t stay in the Delta Hotel but in the hotel next door, but when we go out and turn right into the hotel, we will reach the restaurant, which is good and very close.

Service was excellent. Atmosphere was good. Drinks were great. Beet salad was delicious. But I think we ordered all the wrong mains. We had the mac and cheese and braised beef penne and both were terrible. The beef was decent though a bit flavorless, the tomato sauce was watery and flavorless making the entire dish very disappointing. The truffle Mac and cheese didn t have any flavor either. Very, very, very faint hint of truffle and the rest was an over cooked mush with bread crumbs. The cheeses used weren t sharp enough and it completely lacked all flavor. I would definitely give the restaurant another shot because I do think we ordered poorly but when spending over $100 on a dinner for two people, there shouldn t be any items on the menu that a restaurant of this caliber does poorly.

A group for six of us came in to celebrate new years eve. What a terrible experience. To start the evening our drinks took over 20 minutes to arrive. We ordered bottles of wine and could see them sitting at the bar for 15 minutes. After receiving our drinks our server didnt return for another half hour to get our food order. By this time our waters for the table were empty and were never refilled the entire night. Once dinner came our server didnt check once how the food was, all our drinks were empty and no offer for another round. When the food was dropped off (by another very lovely server) myself and another guest only recieved part of the meal. When our server realized she brought it separately and just slopped on our plate with out asking.We would have stayed for another round but it was never offered. I inquired about a dessert I saw in the window that looked delicious. Unfortunately it was only for the outdoor experience but the server never cared to offer another option. Choosing this place as our way to celebrate the end of 2022 in hindsight was a terrible idea.

Perfect date night spot! We have tried both the indoor and the luminescence experience and both are wonderful! Food is TO DIE FOR! If you are visiting Kelowna this is a MUST TRY!

Went to the Luminescence Dome dining venue that had an up front charge of 250.00 + 18% gratuity for two people. Our waiter Sonjay was very attentive but should have suggested we order a bottle of wine as it was almost impossible to spend the required amount. Waited a half hour for our 34.00 Charcuterie board which was good but the mains were just okay. Mostly disappointed with a 50.00 tenderloin that came with nothing, no sides. 16.00 extra for carrots and potatoes. 36.00 Short Rib was on the dry side and served over roasted sweet potatoes. We had to order two desserts to take home or lose the remainder of our pre-paid 250.00. Restaurant emailed us a review request the next day and after providing our disappointment in writing that day, no response was received (it s been 9 days). That tells me they really don t care about their customers or the product they are putting out. There are lots of negative reviews similar to mine and although in Google reviews they respond that they are addressing this issues, they clearly are not. Save your money and go to Old Vines or Home Block!!

My girlfriend and I made a reservation for Christmas eve, after canceling a few other reservations due to those places having a set Christmas eve menu Once we arrived our server informed us that there was a set Christmas eve menu (we were not informed prior like the few other places we tried) we chose Oak and Cru only because they had no indication of a set menu. We were sat right next to a door that was constantly being opened by servers etc. to serve the outside customers. It was absolutely FREEZING and several guests were noticeably cold. We asked to be re located and switched tables. Our server must have not mentioned this to anyone as we watched another server wander around the restaurant with our entrees for a while and then take them back to the kitchen. A few minutes later our server brought them up to us (they were cold). Then to our surprise both tables on either side of us were served their entrees from the normal menu!? This was very upsetting to us as we both did not care for the options on the set menu, as well as the hefty $78 per person price. We assumed our server was upselling to get a better tip. It made no sense to us how we were forced to choose from 2 items and basically every other table around us was using the regular menu. Then our desserts were delivered to the table beside us and we had to wait again for our server to come and sort that out. This was our first ever visit here and it was incredibly underwhelming. I did fill out a survey the day after, with my concerns. I haven t heard anything back yet from that survey to this day.

We celebrated my moms 70th birthday in the domes last night and it was so beautiful!...To be honest, our waitress wasnt great at all... BUT a big shout out to the woman manager (sorry I forget your name) that helped us out and Jasmine. She wasnt even our waitress but she was SO sweet and accommodating. I really appreciate both of you! Thank you :)

We had a group dinner at Oak + Cru, which went off without a hitch! Wonderful service and the food was amazing. I had the salmon and my husband had the brisket. Both were flavourful and cooked to perfection! Would highly recommend trying this place.

We were in a bubble tent outside, it was magical. The food was good as was the service.

We arrived for our reservation at 4:45 p.m. and did not receive drinks for at least ½ hour a reinstaurant that was virtually empty. The server used some excuse about the bar not having the proper ingredients for the drink on the menu, and that they had to find the ingredients...? Then, we had to move from our table as the door kept opening for the outside domes which created a huge influx of cold air where we were seated. We changed seats to the bar area. Our server disappeared regularly and we had to ask other staff for our drinks.We each ordered a starter (soup and salad) and a main course. Much later the soup and salad arrived, but to my dismay, my main course arrived also within 5 minutes of me receiving my salad, and my husbands main course arrived much later. There was no attempt to coordinate our meals. My meal had little flavour, and my husbands was not much better. Its extremely disappointing when you go out for dinner and you know that you could make a much better meal at home for ¼ of the price. Then, to top it off, we asked the server (when she finally came around) for take out boxes. It took her at least 10 minutes to return to our table where she admitted that shed forgotten about the boxes. Most importantly, they were definitely not short-staffed in the server department, nor in the kitchen (we asked another server to verify this.) Such a huge disappointment for a meal and night out that we were looking forward to. It will be a long time before we visit the Oak & Cru again.

Our brunch at Oak and Cru was amazing! Our server, Chantel (Chantal?), was professional and friendly, anticipating what the children needed. Our orders were beautifully served - exactly as we required. Amazing kitchen staff! We were a group of 8 adults and 2 young children and felt truly welcome. Many thanks for a lovely experience.

I ve stayed at this hotel for the past 5 years and I have to say Abiraj, Travis, and Amber & Jasmine constantly provide superior service. Not only are they friendly but they are so professional and efficient at their jobs. I feel at home every time I sit with them.

Very poor service. My boyfriend and I came in for Good Friday around 11, there was only a few customers seated and it was very slow, there were also 4 servers at the time. We sat for about 25 minutes with no service at all, no one even came by to greet us. Definitely do not recommend.

Terrible service. My girlfriend and I decided we wanted to try Oak + Cru for a nice date. Little did we know the service here is terrible. We were seated for about 30 minutes with no service. Keep in mind it was slow with only a few people seated. There were also 4 servers working. Nobody acknowledged us, nor did we even get water. Do not recommend to anyone.

Deanne treated me here for my birthday in April. We sat in the sunshine on one of the most beautiful patios in Kelowna. The beet and Goat cheese salad looks like a piece of art said Amy our server. It did. It was delicious too. The truffle tuna flower was also divine! Melt in the mouth delicious. Finally, the mushroom risotto was gourmet! Creamy, cheesy, earthy and savory.

It was nice. We have been here several times in the previous three years. Pleasant and relaxing dining environment. Drinks are ok, depending on which bartender is on shift. Food choices are good but a little too small for appetizer choices. We sometimes spend more money ordering multiple appys so we can try more food in one place, but we weren t able to do that here.

I had a wonderful birthday dinner with my bestie at this place. Although the weather was bad and we couldnt sit outside, the view was still nice. Our server was sweet and attentive. I love their virgin cocktails delicious and refreshing. The octopus and shrimp ceviche was a standout for me, bursting with flavors. However, I found the prawn fettuccine to be overly saucy, which didnt quite suit my taste. We also tried the calabrese capicola pizza, but I felt it wasn t crispy enough and was a bit too greasy. My friend, on the other hand, enjoyed it. Our server also brought as a free dessert for my birthday and it was super delicious. Overall, it was a great experience with fantastic service and delicious food, but there is room for improvement.

This was my first time here . The atmosphere was fun and very lively and the food was delish but I think the award truly goes to our server Alex . The guy with the tatts lol . What an amazing server . He made lots of conversation especially with my kids and he was truly genuine person . And I really liked that !! I will definitely be back!

We stayed at the neighboring Royal Kelowna for three nights in June and came here for breakfast every day, once for lunch and once for dessert. And we came back so often not because of convenience but because it was so good . Service, food and location is just wonderful. A special call out to Monique who took care of us one morning and even recognized our friends who were there last year.

Best view of the lake in Kelowna and unmatched waterfront dining. Cocktail menu and late night happy hour adds the icing to the lake. We stay at the Delta Okanagan every-time we come to Kelowna and Oak & Cru is a top part of the experience. I ve eaten here on numerous occasions for breakfast, dinner, afternoon patio cocktails and even with a large group for private dining, every time has been a great experience thanks to the staff, atmosphere and food. Can t recommend this place enough.

This was an extremely important Father s Day meal and I let them know that when I made the reservation. The table was beautiful situated. I had to wait 15 min before our server came to introduce herself and take my drink order . We ordered 2 of the same drinks but they looked completely different. The service was so bad that I complained to the manager. It improved after that . The food however is spectacular ! Excellent presentation and taste . We had the charred octopus and scampi fettuccini . The best ever ! We will definitely be back. The tourist season is still early and I trust that the service will improve . Parking: Horrible and had to walk for a long time as the hotel was busy .

Nice place but for a fancy hotel like this, it needs to be much better. Would go to cactus club next time. They need to get A new manager or something. Staff is friendly enough but not really in the zone. No real choices at happy hour menus were Disgusting I asked if I could throw the menu in the pizza oven. Had blood on it. Food was ok had burger. Nothing fancy. Should be free range or something, I think they are more focused on profit then being fancy All the staff were wearing different clothing and their shoes different and dirty. Saw the hostess walking though talking on cell phone a lot. Should go in the back to talk or text. Overall ok but I don t think I would stay at this hotel because The restaurant sucked so bad. Drink menu didn t get delivered to after we ordered food and had minimal offerings

Have been here several times with friends, family, myself. The food has always been good, also the service and of course, the ambiance and the views from the patio. Had a craving for a burger. Some may ask, why order a burger if you don t eat bread? Why not? Nowadays we order what we want how we want. I asked for a burger WRAPPED in lettuce. It came with two small lettuce leaves, one at the bottom, one on top. Not WRAPPED. The patty was overcooked, almost burnt, dry and tasteless. I told the server about the wrapped part, not the rest as I was hungry and ate most of it. Service was also bad, I think she forgot about me. She could ve have me spending more money as I wanted another drink and something else, but she never asked and the times she went by my table, she didn t even looked or acknowledged me. Sad experience today.

Our reservation was for 5 on the deck. The table was in the direct sunlight and directly under the misters so we asked if we could move to other tables in the shade. After a series of snarky comments from the staff about us wanting to move the pleasant manager appreciated our situation and moved an umbrella to shade our table. It provided the shade and a mechanism for the misters to stream water down onto our table. I should have placed my plate of fish and chips under it to try and soften the hardest batter on fish I ve ever eaten. Disappointed.

Such great service!!! Our family stayed at the hotel, and OAK + CRU is the main restaurant on the main level. Not only was the food great but the service was even better. BEST waitresses in hospitality and customer service! Thank you Monique and Casey for the great service; and for the juice and coffee TO-GO! You made our trip even more enjoyable!

One of the nicest restaurants in downtown Kelowna

We were a bit skeptical because of the mixed reviews on the food but knew it was a beautiful spot to sit on the patio on a warm evening so gave it a go. We were really impressed by the food we ordered! The okanagan bowl, beet and goat cheese salad and filet were all delicious!

Find it located inside the beautiful Delta hotel. Came for dinner and was not disappointed. Everything was amazing to the palette. Atmosphere is relaxing, comfortable, and welcoming. Great views and a beautiful patio. Casual or semi-formal dress wear. Staff were outgoing, respectful and personable and able to give great suggestions in soul sharing detail for food recommendations. The prettiest patio that I ve ever seen in Kelowna! Right on the water so the view and atmosphere is so beautiful. Food is delicious, happy hour prices are very reasonable and service is great!

The view here is beautiful, a stunning atmosphere. However, the food/ drinks were nothing to rave about. Watered down drinks and overpriced mediocre meals. Service was on the plus side.

I was disappointed with the food and service at the restaurant. During my business visits to Kelowna, I usually take my clients to this location because of its pleasant atmosphere, but this time was not up to par. The menu used to have good food quality and variety, but now there are limited options available, especially for those who dont eat red meat. The menu has not reflected the change in demographics, and the wording is too complex, making it difficult to understand what we are ordering. My clients and I struggled to find something good to eat, and we even considered leaving for another place with better choices. However, we decided to stay and ordered dinner. The Chicken pizza was too salty, and I could only have a few small bites. When I informed the waiter, he did not offer an alternative and still charged me for it. Unfortunately, the restaurant falls short when it comes to menu options, food quality, and service.

It looked like a really cool place. They seated us with empty glass and menus. We sat there for 15 minutes. Employees walked by, but no one cared to serve us. We left, disappointed. We spent $230 at Kings Tap instead. Well worth the walk around the corner.

They messed up our reservation but completely made up for it. Our server, Kate, was amazing!

Came here on a whim as my friend and I were wanting to try someplace close to the water. Our server was amazing and incredibly attentive. He took notes of our dietary restrictions, which is amazing. We had the mushroom risotto and the prawn pasta. The risotto was delicious and creamy and the pasta lacked a bit of flavour. Will definitely be returning!

Absolutely delicious food!!! I am celiac and they were able to cater to me. Plenty of Gluten Free options on the menu, not as much if you want vegan and gf, but I had the cauliflower dish which was fantastic!! Beautiful dining room and patio, the only problem was that the dining room at 6:30pm the sun is blinding and there are no blinds to block it out. We sat with our sunglasses on and had to hold our hands up to be able to see anything. It would be nice if they got blinds for the dining room for that time of day as I saw multiple other guests who also faced the sun being blinded. But otherwise, it was a great experience. I went to this restaurant for lunch with my husband and my brother. I made an error in the reservation, whereby a couple of people had cancelled and I didnt change the number of guests correctly. However the staff was very gracious about it. The food was quite good. I had truffle mac and cheese, and I was pleased with it, although Ive had better. However, all three of us were completely put off by the loud and obnoxious music the DJ was playing, and we clearly werent the only ones. I saw a woman at another table with her hand covering the ear facing the speakers. She and the man she was with left with their drinks mostly unfinished. My party was having difficulty carrying on a conversation, and we opted to forego dessert, because we wanted to get out of there. There were two tables that had families with young children seated at them, and there were a number of f-bombs and other profanities in the lyrics. It was quite telling that nobody was sitting anywhere near the dj, like there was a sort of no-mans land between her and the occupied tables. I cant imagine why anyone thought this was a suitable ambience for lunchtime on a Sunday afternoon. The volume and style of the music would have been better suited to a club at night. I wanted to shout at the DJ, Read the room! We visit Kelowna regularly, staying nearby, and we wont be back.

Exquisite steak. They boldly placed the steak on top of the mashed potatoes, surrounded by sauce. It seemed like they were stating You will eat it all, were sure of it. I found myself taking bits of mashed potatoes to soak up the sauce, just to make sure I did not miss one tiny dribble. Ive never done that before, but it was that good.

I was so disappointed and held it together because I didnt want to ruin our 10 year wedding anniversary lunch date. Decided to try Oak+Cru (was suggested) for lunch and was not impressed at all. I got the truffle dip spilled all over my brand new lululemon pants that I was dying to wear out after we left the restaurant. Had to run home, and change. Never coming back

Wonderful venue. Outdoor patio scenery was spectacular with the mountains and Okanagan Lake in the background. Every Staff member was excellent. Drinks were cold, Food was delicious and Dessert was to die for. Attached to the Delta Grand Okanagan Resort which was definitely 5 stars in every aspect as well.

Sometimes dining out is like gambling, sometimes you win, other times you lose. Oak and Cru is like that. The food was never average, it was either really good, or really bad. The Mac and cheese tasted like it came from Kraft, and had zero flavor. But other items were amazing. The service was the same - it was over the top, or non existent. Im not sure how to rate this experience so 3 stars it is. The location is great though. Can beat eating near water on an outdoor patio. 5 stars for that.

By far one of the most overrated and overpriced I ve ever eaten at. The most bland and yet also expensive sautéed mushrooms and potatoes I ve ever eaten. They re charging extra for the aesthetic and the food isn t there to back it up. Dietary restrictions: mediocre gluten free options, some good vegetarian options.

Food was really delicious. Friendly and charismatic service. Lovely Thanksgiving dinner. Pumpkin pie slice could have been a bit larger. At Mateos Thanksgiving the dessert was more of a show stopper.

Our server was Breanna H, and our visit was nothing short of outstanding!! Breanna was fun and knowledgeable and all around amazing. I attended for my birthday, and she really madr it special. The food was awesome, I would love to see a chicken dish in the mains though. Truly lovely experience and the Oak and Cru are very lucky to have such an asset like Breanna. 10/10 would highly recommend.

Dined for lunch today (Saturday 25th Nov) fish and chips great. Ordered the Mimosa board for drink, $24 on the menu? They added a $68 upgrade bottle of fizz without asking me or giving me any information regarding the alcohol being a separate price . I just presumed that price came with the tasting board? I paid not realizing until my friend mentioned she saw the price on my receipt. Waitress must have taken receipt because I couldn t find it after. Mentioned to manager on way out, (Sunil) he had no clue about the drink or the price but said because the bottle was opened he couldn t do anything. He said he would pass my comments onto management . Disappointed was supposed to be a treat day and left very unhappy. P.s I ve seen your response. Do right by your customers, offer a refund? Give something back? I will NOT return or recommend. A nice comment back means NOTHING.
