Old Vines Restaurant @ Quails' Gate Winery in Kelowna

Very disappointing for what we thought would be a romantic dinner accompanied with fine food. We are a local family, wine enthusiasts and lover of fine cuisine. We ve dined at Old Vines since 2016, however, admittedly not regularly this year. We were very excited for the 4 course seasonal menu, with wine pairing and dined this evening at Old Vines. Our male waiter was polite however in an awful hurry to have us finished. Our courses were delivered with accelerated regularity as if an assembly line were the norm. What would normally allow for 2 hours, we were finished in just over an hour. Further, My main course of lamb was barely warm. The lamb was tepid and the au jus was actually cold. We requested for the main to be warmed ; our table was near the kitchen and we witnessed the waiter and cooks reaction like it was an inconvenience. If the dinner of $305 wasn t enough penalty, the surprise came in an email from OpenTable during our dinner, that our upcoming reservation for New Year s Eve at Old Vines had been cancelled by the restaurant! As a local of West Kelowna, a former wine member of Quails Gate for many a year, their service tonight has inexplicably proven my $ will be spent elsewhere. Very very disappointed!

September 2023 - Super disappointed with our meals, as was the rest of our dinner party. Im not sure what happened with Old Vines -- it used to be amazing. We will not be coming back again unfortunately.

Had a truly magnificent meal in this lovely restaurant on Friday. The setting is stunning, had a delightful young lady server named Anna, her knowledge on menu and wines was excellent. A wonderful venue with a gorgeous setting, definitely worth visit. Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free dishes were amazing.

Currently sitting for 40 minutes...with a reservation...no bread, no wine...so disappointing......

Had lunch in late September on a beautiful warm, sunny Kelowna day with my wife and daughter at Quails Gate Winery, the hostesses at the front we so polite and accommodating, our server Amy was a pleasure and was so accommodating, the food was perfection, mussels, chicken, beef cheeks all incredible and the ambience and view just made the afternoon perfect. We had a tasting with Kat before lunch and we really enjoyed it, Kat was great. If you go to Kelowna go to Quails Gate Winery and have a wine tasting at noon and then lunch and it will make your time in Kelowna memorable

First of all, the ambiance is stunning and an amazing view. The service was good, professional, but a bit slow at times with long gaps between seeing the server it took 20 minutes from being seated with a menu and water until we saw the server. Of the four of us, all of the entrees were delicious except the risotto which was quite bland so needed lots of salt.

My wife and I had dinner there last night. The oysters and soup were good but unfortunately the pork loin she ordered was served literally raw, they brought it back to kitchen and it came back partially cooked with extra sauce to our amazement and the waiters!! We sent that back waiter was trying his best but he asked if my wife wanted anything else and she chose the duck which came long after I finished my dinner, it was very bland and dissappointing. The waiter said if we come back he will take care of us lol Exceptionally poor experience

What happened to this place!? Ive always had a great experience dining at Old Vines, however, I was incredibly disappointed with our visit last week. I went with wine club members, so I was expecting great service, but the whole experience was disappointing. We called ahead of time to see if we could get an earlier reservation and were told no (which is fine) so they suggested we do a wine tasting at 6:30. We got to the tasting room and were told their last tasting was at 6:15, which we werent aware of as the restaurant specifically told us to come at 6:30. I could tell the lady was annoyed we were there, so she asked another girl to takeover and she was lovely, so no complaints about that. After the tasting we headed to the restaurant, checked in, and sat at a table near the bar. We waited for 25 minutes while all the other tables around us were served, no one acknowledged us, so I finally went up and asked if we could order some drinks. Our reservation was at 7:45 but we were not seated until 8:05 PM. The waitress came up and greeted us and gave us water. We did not see her for another 25 minutes, however, I saw her going to the table next to us multiple times. I had to go up to another staff member and ask what happened to our server. When she finally came over she said she was waiting on our complimentary glasses of wine and that the bar was a little slow, however she could have just explained that to us sometime within the 25 minutes or poured the wine herself. We ordered our appetizers and they came out fairly quickly, which was great because we were starving. Our mains took almost 2 hours to reach our table and my vegetables were cold and undercooked but I was so hungry, I didnt care. I ordered the pork loin and was excited for the potato hash and I didnt receive it. I got baby potatoes, which are fine but had I known I wasnt getting the hash, I would have ordered something else. Normally, I always order dessert, but when she asked if we wanted to see the menu, everyone was a resounding NO. The wine club members we went with are canceling their membership because we had such a lackluster night. Its clear to me that this place has unfortunately gone downhill (as per other similar reviews from the last month) and I wont be going back. RIP Old Vines.

I visited after making a reservation to celebrate my anniversary. The appetizers, soup and risotto of the day, and the main steak and seafood pasta were all delicious. I was especially happy because the view outside the window was so pretty The portion size was quite large, so just one appetizer would have been enough! I was impressed by Shanes really friendly and attentive service I like to walk around after finishing my meal. Its not very spacious, but the lawn is well maintained, and it comes out well when taking pictures with the lakeside in the background.

Visited in August 2024. Mediocre food considering the price. I ordered the brassicae dish and the vegetables were undercooked, nearly raw. Service was slow. Waited 1+ hour for food. Beautiful location and good atmosphere.

This is the place to go for a long vely evening with friends. Our waiter Brian a delight to talk with. Very knowledgeable of the area.

Weve been there many times for brunch, lunch and dinner, but this time it wasnt the usual polished experience and superb food. We had lunch; I had steak and my wife had the chicken. Her meal outdid mine and was delicious, and only when I got home with the leftovers did I notice that my steak was totally devoid of any basting or spice! It could have been that delicious Empress cocktail that clouded my mind while I was eating so that I didnt notice while we were there. Finding the waiter in order to pay also took a while. Well still go back because were sure that was just a little hiccup. Maybe the chef likes the Empress as much as I do?

We were just planning on picking up a bottle and heading home, but the restaurant looked so inviting we decided to check it out and stop in for some food and we are SO glad we did. Our server Russel took such good care of us and the food was spectacular. We opted to do the white wine flights, which ended up being a great way to try different pairings with our apps and were all excellent options. We re looking forward to coming back and would highly recommend making some time to eat at the restaurant if you re planning a visit to the winery!

Food- mussels 4/5 Foie Gras 4/5 Striploin with mint chimichurri 3/5 The steak was good.. but I find it difficult. for most establishments to prepare a steak better than I can at home. But, I also realize that I know what I like. While I do enjoy a chimichurri, I find that mint wasnt a complement to the steak. Lobster risotto: 4/5 Our waiter Lochlan was absolutely fantastic. Accommodating and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is 2nd to none. On the patio overlooking a dimly lit vineyard in the foreground with the okanagan valley in the background. A treat.

Celebrated my girlfriend s birthday at Old Vines. Our 7:45 reservation got us seated at 8:15, water at 8:30, while drinks finally hit the table at 8:45. Food took the kitchen 40 minutes to hit the table despite the peak hours being well in the past at this point. Crab Risotto was good but underwhelming, Cornish Game Hen came out cold so we opted to share the Risotto. No management came to speak to the table despite the wait time and cold dish. The host and service team were sweet and kind and the restaurant is beautiful. As someone with restaurant management experience, this restaurant suffers from poor management.

Fantastic restaurant with amazing views, great food and an out of this world Chenin Blanc. Service was excellent as well. Worth checking out when in the Okanagan!

Great experience. My wife and two young children came for a glass of wine and appetizers. They made it work for us even though they were fully booked. Lachlan served us and was a real pro. Subtle, yet attentive service.

We had an excellent meal at Old Vines with exceptional service. Our waitress Danielle was attentive and knowledgeable and was able to assist us in purchasing wine at the wine store retail rate when we were unable to get service upstairs in the wine shop. The charcuterie, kids meal, mains and dessert were all delicious

Stopped for an impromptu lunch on our way into town. Simply wow. The dungeoness crab risotto was sublime. Each bite better than the previous. The burrata appetizer was absolutely perfect and then the orange raspberry cheesecake topped off what was perhaps one of the best lunches I ve had ever. The service provided by Tony at the restaurant was also top notch! Definitely highly recommend this gem of a place.

We had a wine tasting and a dinner yesterday at Quail s Gate Winery, West Kelowna, and we absolutely loved our evening. The staff are very courteous and welcoming. The dinner was excellent and of course, the wine tasting was absolutely yummy. We would recommend it to everyone visiting and also to our locals. What a great way to celebrate a special occasion. Thank you Quails Gate Dietary restrictions: There are a wide variety of gluten-free dishes. Their bread is in-house baked and it is so delicious. Honest It s gluten-free and it s yummy.

Really fabulous meal last night at Old Vines. First time visiting. Dined on the patio, front of house was a little overwhelmed but we were sat on time. I love long slow suppers and it was certainly that - 2.5 hours from seating to leaving. We shared the Dungeness crab risotto main with scallop addition, but as a starter, which was our favorite dish! I had the halibut which was a very generous portion and cooked absolutely perfectly. Sea asparagus was a nice touch, the sauce could have been more rich and flavorful. My date had the lamb. It was small as previous reviews mentioned, so he added the truffle fries and was the perfect amount then. He found the vegetables (corn, green beans, yellow broad beans and buttery sauce (similar to east coast Hodge Podge) not to suit the lamb and I agreed - actually we swapped proteins and I had that with the halibut which was divine! The rhubarb coconut mousse was scrumptious, as were the raspberry lemonade mocktails. I regretted not getting the family reserve Chardonnay as the cheaper Chardonnay wasnt fit to carry the meal. Service was fantastic, especially given the kitchen seemed slower than our server would have liked, but he was attentive and kept us up to date. Would happily try again.

They should rename this from Quails Gate to Snails Gate. Hands down the worst service I ve gotten in a long time. My husband and I went there for their happy hour. Waited 20 minutes to get any service to our table. Even the restaurant was only half full. Then it was another 20 minutes to get our two glasses of wine. The waiter would just disappear. We finally got fed up, went up to the bar and asked a server to run our drinks that had been sitting there forever, while the servers were chatting away, paying no attention to them. The food was subpar, came cold, flavourless, and uninspired. Not sure who s giving this restaurant five stars, clearly they don t get out much. We were there for almost 2 hours, and only saw the server twice, although he miraculously showed up when it was time for payment and his tip, and started to spark up a conversation. Beautiful winery, but we will not be wasting our time and money coming to this restaurant again.

Came here for dinner. The property is beautiful. The food was below average. The cornish game hen (chicken) was so overcooked and tough. Risotto was nothing special. Edible food but not great for the price. Would not come back.

What a truly wonderful dining experience. Everything was perfect from the moment we walked in until it was time for us to leave. We were seated at our most favourite table - we don t think they knew it was but we love the outside corner table! It has become our spot! Dinner was delicious and our service impeccable. Timing was perfect. A special shout out to Hudson for making our evening so extra special. Thank you for a truly delightful evening.

Always excellent food at this restaurant and the views & patio are stunning.we had steelhead, chèvre salad, foie gras, white wine flight. Sadly our service wasn t great this trip nor was it timely. We waited with empty dishes, waited for the bill, then waited again and had to ask to pay. All other servers have been great in the past.

Shared dinner with friends for a fun evening; celebrating a birthday. As previously, the service was impeccable, knowledgeable, and fun. Food was five-star, rounding this experience as memorable.

Endless dinner. Our table, despite having a reservation was more than ten minutes late. After we seated we waited more than one hour for our food. The food quality was mediocre at best and the service not what you expect for a restaurant at this leve. The winery is beautiful and its a shame that the restaurant experience was not what we expected.

I come to this place with my family almost once, if not twice per year. There is absolutely no issue with food, service, and the scenery. I came last night, and no surprise , always good quality on every avenue of what they provide and service. But I have to say I may get priced out by this place going forward lol . Instead of once or twice per year I may just come once per two years totally understand how the economy works and inflation and all that! Sigh, just can t do the same thing like I did in the past many years, all of a sudden I realized last night! Again, still solid place to have a great date night, family gathering and great food and wine, no better way to describe

Our server, Wilson was great. He was attentive and passionate about the restaurant. However, this place was extremely poorly run. They had many available tables outside, which is where we wanted to sit. But we still had to wait 40 minutes to get a table. We ordered a 150 CAD + bottle of their reserve Chardonnay. This was served warm from the cellar. Surprising that they have wine on the menu which is not ready to be served. Took two hours to get it to the right temperature. The food was also mediocre. The halibut had an extreme fishy taste and it was just uninteresting with the flavors. The chicken was better but not worth 35 CAD. The salad was ok. The dessert was a strawberry yoghurt something. Extremely sweet and not good. In short, this place is very poorly run. The food is overpriced and mediocre at best. What they have going for them is the location and service. Somehow, it seems like their people are passionate and drink their coolaid.

Russell was Great and a wonderful server! The Crab Risotto is excellent, as was and ALWAYS IS the Dry Riesling wine! Vegetarian options: Lots of parking!!! Patio seating was awesome, with the water misters for a 32° C temperature!

Its one of the most beautiful winery restaurants that I ever visited. Good food and of course the wine choices. The winery is fantastic with great views.

This is our go-to place in the Okanagan. Every since out first visit back in 2011, their menus change, but the quality of their food and the amazing service is always outstanding. Oh, and their wines are great too!

Everything was exceptional! We started at the winery and ended with dinner at the restaurant. The views are breathtaking! The food was perfection!! We had : Oysters, Wagyu Tartare, cured trout to start, and then the Lamb and Pork Chop, ending with hibiscus lemon cake, everything was outstanding! The service was great and the wine was also excellent. An absolute must!!

We went to the restaurant and had Lauren as our server. She was absolutely amazing, friendly, and knew the menu so well. With their mix of great service and amazing wines, Quails Gate is by far one of the best estates in the Okanagan.

Lovey restaurant. The fig and orange desert was fabulous, and my husband loved the soup of the day. We arent big wine drinkers so we didnt do that, but the seasonal sangrias were good.

We ve been a few times, always great food and wine, best views at sunset, had Hudson as our waiter, he s a keeper.

We were 4 people eating there and two of us have a stomach bug now on the next day (both ate the medium cooked steak). Throwing up multiple times with excruciating pain. Laying in bed the whole day. That s ridiculous for a $65 steak. We don t recommend eating here at all. Tried calling 3 times to talk about this but nobody is picking up the phone at this restaurant. Horrible experience for a $400 dinner!!

The service and atmosphere was really great! Unfortunately, we felt like the food didn t match the reputation and price. The tuna tartare is served on a giant tater tot which gave it a really mushy texture. The tater tot was hot which warmed up the cold tartare, which was kind of unpleasant. The rest of the food was just OK but nothing outstanding. Nothing makes us want to go back. The cocktails were not great - the martini tasted like it had day old espresso in it and the old fashioned was pretty weak (most the spirits are from OK Spirits which is usually subpar). It is a winery though so this is excusable. That being said, the location is beautiful and the service was top notch. Our favourite part of the meal was the butter served with the sourdough!

Weve eaten here at least4 times, have never been disappointed with our experience. The food is well priced. The staff is remarkable, food is delicious and a beautiful building and view finish it off.

Expensive but excellent quality and atmosphere

Sat there for 25 min before being greeted, when server showed up she was great. Assuming it was the manager, did come by eventually and apologize, but by that time it was too late. Was looking to get the evening over with and get out of there. Food was ok, appetizer was good, entrees would have been good if they weren t cold. Would ve sent back but took 40 min to get them so we didn t complain. Dessert was amazing, would go back for that. Overall, it likely would ve been a better review if we didn t wait so long upon arriving to get greeted. Expected more from here, especially on Valentine s Day.

The Hen was very flat, it was flavorless I thought maybe the hen will be without bones, the gnocchi could have more sauce, the vegetables felt tasteless However the venison was really good overall plate was full of flavor and texture and the chocolate mousse was really good and well balance.

I think there is some confusion about membership and it s benefits. Even though we were friends of one of the member (he was the member and we were 2 friends dining with him) they charged us for the tasting, we realized afterwards that they shouldn t have charged us. And yes, it was their for visit of the 2024. Staff could be more talkative and explaining, they brought us a glass of complimentary wine and didn t even explain what kind of wine it was. There was only one server at the time despite long weekend Sunday he was trying his best and always kept the smile on his face but obviously he was struggling. The wine is excellent, but the service could be improved.

Always love Quail s Gate. Don t usually stop for food, but scallops were amazing and Brent made the dining experience incredible. Would recommend making this your food stop on your wine tour.

As a local, this is one of my favorite restaurants to visit, any time of year. Their rotating seasonal menu is always crafted to perfection. I highly recommend saving room for a dessert, as they are absolutely incredible. In the photo: seasonal salmon entree with orzo salad. I recently had salmon, so I swapped it for their halibut. Chef is prepared it with their classic herb crust and seasonal apricot glaze. My friend did take me for a belated birthday dinner, hence the candle. This is their grapefruit dessert and I ve seen them prepare this as shown, as well as in their class donut style mold. This wouldn t be my first dessert pick, but I was taken by surprise over how light and refreshing this one. I definitely recommend this dessert. Lastly, we ordered the lemon cherry flan and it was good, but I would order a second grapefruit dessert over this one again. Recommendation: my go to order is the Cornish hen. It is consistently incredible and the paired gnocchi is the best I ve ever had!

Knowledgeable and friendly service from Brent for our lunch. Chicken Supreme was delicious and the Tomato Tartelette was fresh and satisfying. The views of the lake and vineyard only added to the experience!

Always enjoy our meals at Quails Gate! Food is impeccable and the service is friendly and exquisite. Once again, Ive had an amazing experience here and Brent was very nice and patient with our group! Their chicken supreme is a chefs kiss but my favourite is their tomato soup even on a hot summer day I couldnt resist! Also no one else can beat this view! Kid-friendliness: Kids menu available and were tasty!

Our favourite place for lunch and brunch in Kelowna. We visit Quails gate everytime we are in town. The restaurant has a gorgeous view of the lake and vineyard with outside patio. Most importantly the food never disappoints. Service is also top notched. Kid-friendliness: Kid menu is available and the food is equally tasty in high quality.

What a lovely restaurant! My husband and I and another couple went for lunch this last Saturday long weekend. All of our food was delicious and the plating and presentation were beautiful. The service and attention to detail were refreshing. The view and the grounds were breathtaking. Thank you, Brent, for taking such good care of us. We will be back.

We had a late evening reservation as it was the only time available for a table of 7. We had 3 kids (ages 11,9, & 6) with us and were put on the far side of the restauarant which is understandable as one might think all kids are loud and shouldnt be dining at 8:00 at night. It used to be tradition to dine at the Old Vines whenever we are in Kelowna until now. Being on the far side of the restauarant we were forgotten about. The waiter did rush our kids food which seemed like a nice gesture at first. The food came quick and two out of the three dishes were great. The clams & mussels were good and the salmon was done nicely, our youngest had chicken strips wich were surprisingly way over cooked. The kids finished their meal but the adults waited another hour for their meal. We were informed that they had a special event that evening but the restuarant was half full and we proceeded to watch other tables receive their food before us that were seated after us. We were going to order dessert but did not want to wait another hour. Our tradition has come to an end as a $480 meal should come with service & food as good as we had at a Whitespot the next morning.

We came for a wine tasting but it was over full so we ended at having lunch at the Old Vines. Excellent lunch experience served by Nicole with Bison Carpaccio, Truffle Fries and Halibut. Really value for money!

What a beautiful dinner we had! On the patio, next to the vines overlooking the lake and mountains. We couldn t ask for anything more. Our server Brent was the best! He knew everything there was to know about the food and the area and also had a great sense of humour, right up our alley! The food was absolutely incredible. Such an enjoyable evening

It s a rare time when a restaurant gets so many details right, and Quails Gate gets them right. Relaxed but precise, friendly but not folksy. Excellent food, perfect pairings, and quietly competent servers, in a beautiful building with a grand view.

What a treat! Outstanding food, superb view, incredible wine, and amazing service. I had the grass fed dry aged ribeye and it was probably the most tender and flavourful steak I ve ever had! I also had the raspberry dessert, it was also lovely!

Exceptional meal! The location and views were fantastic, the service impeccable, the food outstanding and wine pairing to perfection. We go every time we are in Kelowna and will keep coming back! Vegetarian options: The vegan/vegetarian options on the menu are limited. I asked for something different than what was offered for my main course and they surprised me with an exceptional dish of roasted veggies prepared to perfection with a sauce that enhanced the taste to another level. I am grateful they were open to accommodate my request. Dietary restrictions: The server was knowledgeable about the menu and didn t hesitate to confirm with the kitchen as needed.

Quails Gate is always the most beautiful scenery. The food was delicious and Brent, our server was the perfect balance of attentive and not hovering.

The service at the restaurant was exceptional. Our server, Brent, took great care to ensure that we would have the most enjoyable experience with the menu. He guided us in selecting the perfect wine pairings and even offered me a sample to ensure my choice was to my liking. When I requested fries later in the meal, he promptly brought them to our table. The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and inviting. It is recommended to make reservations in advance. Additionally, there is a market in the wine yard and a designated area for wine tastings.

This was our third time at this restaurant July 2023 The food and service are always excellent top notch The only negative experience was trying to make a reservation for a group larger than 4 people. We called the evening of July 11 (weeks in advance) to make a reservation for larger than a group of 4 and the girl a spoke was quite unhelpful, cutting me off and repeatedly saying were booked solid, thank you and good bye. I bypassed this by making multiple reservations online for the same day at the same time - I guess they werent full or booked solid after all.

Quails Gate has been a must every time I visit Kelowna with friends and family because of the beautiful views, atmosphere and dining experience. However, our visit this past weekend was so disappointing, that I question whether I would ever want to go back to dine. Our group came here as our last dinner prior to heading home and to cap off our weekend. We come prepared to spend for the experience as we know it s worth it, and for a group of 7 of us, our bill was close to $1500. I say this because it s not as if we are cheap or ignorant to what should have been an elevated dining experience. Our server was newer, however an establishment of this reputation should ensure their employees are sufficiently trained in order to provide the appropriate experience to their guests. She knew nothing about the wine list (at a winery) and was so slow at service. Drinks were constantly empty, bottles of wine took half an hour or more to bring to the table, requests had to be asked for 3-4 times and the list goes on. Besides that, we have never been so disappointed by food. Halibut is always something I order out, and for $50 this was the worst I ve ever had. So dry and flavourless, which was made worse by the dry rice cake accompanying it. Beef entrees not cooked to to the level requested (med-rare), undercooked side potatoes etc. As a person who loves and appreciates fine dining (and purposely chooses to allocate hard earned money to it over other things) this was a complete and utter disappointment.

This is a beautiful place with great views and delicious foods. I would recommend this place for a special occasion as it is quite pricey but nice

Great atmosphere and food.

On our recent trip to Kelowna, we had dinner at Old Vines Restaurant on the Quails Gate Estate. As always, the food, service and ambiance was impeccable. We had asked for window seating near the patio and the host graciously accommodated us. We ordered a number of items: the charcuterie and cheese boards, the duck entree, the ribeye steak, the pistachio cake and the cherry dessert. Everything was fantastic! The charcuterie and cheese paired well with our wine (the Pinot Noir Stewart Family Reserve which is one of our favourites - a must-try!) as did our entrees. The duck was perfection. My absolute favourite! Both desserts were great although I preferred the cherry one. The views of Lake Okanagan and the vineyard are unparalleled. I highly recommend stopping by Old Vines Restaurant if youre in the area! Its best to make reservations. As a plus, the Winery is open until 6 pm everyday so you can also pop by and pick up a bottle or two!

Tried eating here, was told we could order lunch after our wine tasting. Then after our tasting they said the kitchen was closed for lunch. Even though we were at the restaurant well before the end of the lunch timing. Rude staff

The place is very nice, the decoration, the tables, the lights, everything is very nice. Excellent customer service, the girl who helped us was super friendly, she was attentive if we needed anything and they attended to us quickly. The only bad thing was the prices, they are too high, costing $30 or more for a plate. There is not much variety on the menu, if you are vegetarian there is little variety but if you are vegan there is nothing except for salad or potatoes, I was expecting more options like plant-based meat or pasta. The views are very beautiful, during the day they must be incredible but we went at night you could still see the vineyard full of lights. Vegetarian options: There are only vegetarian options and for vegans only salads or potatoes

Rarely do I give a 5 star rating - most places that are very good are just that. Old Vines however does have that step above, from the service (Well down Shane) to the amazing food and incredible views and ambience. Well worth the effort and the cost to eat here. Parking: Easy to find a spot. Wheelchair accessibility: There is a handicapped spot near the main entrance.

Always excellent food and service here. Well presented. Tried the rangland Bison carpaccio, open faced Dungeness Cab ravioli, Yarrow meadows Duck Breast....very tasty, and strawberry mousse. Very yummy!. Great view.

Nothing to fault here! Superb food, extremely knowledgeable staff (special mention to the charming Doug, who calmly explained why the chosen wine went with my husbands meal & my husbands choice wouldnt - he was of course correct!) Ambience was amazing - fantastic location and someone even moved the awnings when the sun got in our eyes, without us having to ask. We started with happy hour and then moved to dinner. The mussel au gratin was so good. The atmosphere, service, food everything was perfect. Nicole was our server and she went above and beyond with her exceptional service. She is such a nice person. I will definitely recommend this to friends and will definitely be back.

O M G. The food here is to die for. We only had happy hour but honestly one of the best happy hours I ve ever had. The muscles and tuna were outstanding. We also had beautiful views of the vineyard and the lake from our table. We will definitely be back again! Our server, Amy, was poised and extremely attentive.

Had an amazing experience first time in Kelowna Kelly took such good care of us I feel that most times because I am younger I get treated differently in restaurant atmospheres but Kelly did an amazing job at making me feel welcomed and cared for would definitely come back for her!

Unfortunately we were waiting over 20 minutes at the table with around 4 waitresses passing by and no interests shown at all. Not something you would expect from the restaurant at the winery. Very disappointed, we left nobody was even interested why we are leaving. Very unpleasant experience.

Food is ok but we waited for the food for 2 hours even though there s almost nobody at the restaurant. Everyone already has their food too. Staff just standing around idk what they re even doing. Also said the restaurant was full the first time we called and the second time we called with a different number they said that there was open table. Calls were five minutes only apart.

So the brunch is ok nothing too special. Its a normal brunch. food is ok, not bad and not amazing. Service was great and view was amazing too but if you go there for the food maybe think about going somewhere else because its definitely not cheap. Its really not worth your money. Cheese board was bad. Charcuterie was sad. Egg benedict was ok.

Beautiful views and amazing food! I went for lunch and enjoyed a delicious lamb burger and Parmesan fries. The fries were a perfect cut and texture - just how I like them - crispy/soft and skinny. I also had the chocolate caramel dessert - I was less impressed with that as it was a weird puree. Still very good but I prefer cakes for dessert.

Me and my boyfriend went here for brunch it was absolutely breathtaking to see the gorgeous view of the lake and the winery and listening to live music. Gotta say they have amazing cocktails I ordered spicy plum cider and my boyfriend got the coffee cocktail( forgot the name). We ordered their lamb burger and seafood pasta( which was so unique and had an interesting taste) I don t usually go for seafood because of the smell but I thought I should try since it was the most expensive one on the main course and to be honest it was worth it by expensive I mean 27$ and their portions were amazing we also ordered dessert as well and overall our bill was 104$. However the only reason I didn t give five star was because of the spot we were sitting as it was small and I kind of wanted to be able to sit across and face my partner. Overall great service,food and funny servers. Will definitely come back.

We met neighbours for brunch on the weekend and chose The Old Vines as one of them is a member at Quails Gate. The restaurant offers great views. The day we were there the jazz duo of Anna Jacyszyn and Loni Moger we playing. They are excellent and worth a visit themselves. Our group of six was seated directly across from them and though they were not loud, we would have been better sitting farther away so we could have focused on a catch-up. Everyone ordered different dishes and seemed to enjoy them. I ordered the Seafood Benedict, made with Dungeness crab salad. It was quite tasty, but I found the muffin had an odd texture, more like a biscuit. I asked our server and he assured me that it was a sourdough muffin. Later he made an adjustment on our bill which I hadnt expected but very much appreciated. My wife ordered a Squash and Onion Tarte. I never asked her how she found it until we were on the way home. Sadly she was not impressed but never likes to say anything so that was our fault. I am sure if she had our server would have brought her something more to her liking. Fortunately, the rest were very happy with their meals and overall we had a pleasant time.

Outstanding in every respect. One of the best places to dine in the Okanagan. Should not be missed.

This is a lovely place for a happy hour treat in the afternoon or a lovely meal anytime. The service is wonderful and the food is amazing. Love the wines and the addition of a premium happy hour wine list is brilliant!
