First time in my life I didn't finish a steak - I thought i was served a pork chop at first due to the distinct lack of sear. Everything on my plate seemed undercooked, the veggies were quite crunchy. Otherwise, service was great, and other food had no issues.
Had a fabulous experience at The Keg in Kelowna last night. First of all, our waiter, Hector, was fantastic. Friendly and attentive, and made the experience of eating there memorable. Most importantly, the food…. In the spirit of transparency, I have had mediocre experiences at The Keg, however, this meal was exceptional. Had everything from appies to dessert and everything was cooked to perfection. Absolutely delicious. Looking forward to our next visit.
We celebrated my son's birthday here and we had an excellent service from our server. Very friendly and knowlegable about the food. This is our favorite place if we're craving for steaks. We ate at the patio during summer time and it's very comfortable and quiet. And they have yummy cheesecake for birthday celebrant. The last pic is the cheesecake😍
Overall it was a really nice dinner. The appetizers and the steak were excellent, but the side dishes left a lot to be desired. The fries and veggies were very overcooked and the cauliflower mash was chunky and bland. The presentation of the dishes was also a bit boring and unappetizing. They could use some new dishes or something - the dinnerware was plain and very old with lots of scratches. The tables were also very old and worn down. The service was excellent and the overall vibes of the place were nice. The cocktails we ordered were both delicious as well. Overall, they definitely know how to cook a good steak, but need to improve a bit on the side dishes.
Delicious food and amazing service. Our waiter was pregnant and she was fantastic!! The food was to die for. The drinks were so yummy! The free birthday cake was also a yummy treat. Thank you. We will be back!!
Make sure to book a reservation ahead of time as it was very busy and full of diners on Saturday evening. We ordered an appetizer, two drinks, and two steaks, and a dessert to share which cost around $150. I highly recommend getting the garlic mashed potatoes as a side because it complimented well with the steak. The sour dough bread with the butter was also a good starter and the bread came warm with easily spreadable butter. The scallop appetizer was too small though and not worth the extra $16 as it was 6 small pieces of scallops with bacon wrapped around them and a cocktail sauce. The salad you can order is huge and is a full plate. Service was good but being a chain establishment, we saw a lot of people with ball caps and hoodies which made it a notch lower in terms of atmosphere. Very consistent food and good service and our favourite place to get a steak.
I invited my fiancé to celebrate our anniversary and I don't regret choosing that place. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive at all times, the food was delicious, they took a little longer than usual, they bring hot bread and incredibly delicious butter to the table and this makes the wait very pleasant. My fiance made a special request to the waiter and they made him the closest thing to what he asked for and in the end we ordered two desserts but one of the two was missing and they very kindly gave us a second mini creme brule which by the way is amazing. They made our anniversary a beautiful evening from start to finish.
I recommend trying the 19-ounce aged steak at The Keg; it's delicious and well-designed with a good portion size. Overall, my experience at The Keg for my friend's birthday dinner was good. However, there were a couple of small issues. Firstly, the serving speed was quite slow, and we had to wait a long time for our food. Despite this, we were served water and bread as appetizers while we waited, which was a nice touch. High chair aera was originally a bit tight for large group. Additionally, they accommodated our large group by switching us over to the patio, which provided more comfort and space for nine people. However, it would have been even better if the service had been quicker to match the comfort provided for larger groups.
So, what happened to the Keg? We have been going to the Keg in different provinces for over 40 years. Compared to the ones in Calgary or Regina, this Keg doesnt know what perfection and high standards that the Keg is supposed to be. I was just going to stop going to the one in Kelowna, and not bother with a review, but I thought these owners need to up their game. Do better!! For over 60 dollars a plate and expensive drinks on top of it, the food and service needs to match the cost. Last week we were here and my husband had to send his prime rib back as it was cold. The appetizers were burnt, and overdone, but we were hungry and never bothered to send them back. My filet was tasteless and under seasoned and dry, even though it was pink inside which is what I ordered, so I ate half of it. The bacon around the steak was burnt to a crisp. The only thing that was good was the dessert, and the beets. Over 250.00 for 3 people, and this is the standard? Do better. This is the second time, being at the Keg in Kelowna that it was just ok, but for the price, thats not ok. Wont be back. Please Kelowna, open up a good steak house with tasty juicy steaks. The Keg is not it. Wont be back.
Best ever... Great service, food and atmosphere.
Always top notch service and food. I have food allergies and appreciate the managers making sure Im taken care of. Dietary restrictions: The butter they serve with that delicious sourdough is dairy free.
I feel like the keg isnt what it used to be, I had the keg burger and felt it was extremely normal, the fries where as well extremely normal, service took a while to get even tho we somehow had 3 different servers
The service at this restaurant was way below par. Typically you get brought a couple glasses of water when the waitress or waiter arrives, this did not happen. We arrived, it took a bit to have a waitress come to our table. She took our drink order and then disappeared for 25 minutes. When she came back to take our order, she asked if we would like some bread. We said yes, thinking we are hungry. After 20minutes or so, we had to ask if we had our salad and bread coming. She then disappeared again for another 25 minutes. With so many options in Kelowna, I think I will pass on visiting again.
Rebecca made our visit awesome. She was courteous and friendly. Will definitely recommend this place anytime..
When you are craving a steak, this is the place to go... Ordered the steak oscar & my steak was cooked to perfection & the appetizer of scallops & bacon was delicious. Also very much enjoyed their wings. Their mini creme Brule was the perfect dessert to finish my fabulous meal. The servicr was good, atmosphere was lovely. The only thing I wont order in the future is the oscar topping - not worth it in my opinion. (Very skimpy, watered down bernnaisse & only some shrimp & little scallops - not what an oscar used to be for sure.) This is a great steakhouse
Med rare 8 oz steak was quite rare in the middle. Very good lobster tails. Double stuffed potatoes were bland. Overall, a good meal.
Friendly service and great food. Fingers regularly with my folks, definitely recommend
Our server Sam recommended the Kansas City Sirloin and it didn t disappoint. Coupled with the lobster tails it was a classic Keg Experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our server Sam s professional attitude combined with his excellent sense of humour (sorry about the salt and pepper shakers lol ) We will definitely be returning again in the future.
Its hard to find anything negative to say about The Keg, they just get it right every time. I guess the only thing would be the prices but that is happening everywhere so not much you can do about that!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Keg for my birthday and was blown away by the excellent service provided by Nick. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel welcome and attended to every detail with genuine care. His recommendations were spot-on, and he checked in regularly to ensure we had everything we needed. Nicks professionalism and friendly demeanor truly enhanced our dining experience. I highly recommend The Keg, especially if you have the chance to be served by Nick!
Not what it used to be 7 to 10 years ago. Thats all.
We go to the keg 4-5 times a year and usually can depend on great food and service, but this was the worst experience we have had in several years. Waiting to order drinks...then the bread came and there was no cutlery or napkins. Most of the food was good except the asparagus was super thin and yellow in color. Worst asparagus I have ever seen. We were out our in the patio area and the fan was cold, so they turned the heater on after several requests, then they put it on high, which made it too hot. The service was slow in general.
We were checked on multiple times by several people to make sure everything was great
The food was just ok. I ordered crab cakes and Caesar salad as my entre. The crab cakes were ridiculously small and the Caesar salad was just as pathetic! There were 8 people in our party....all agreed we will not go back.
Lovely place. Had a couple of drinks over there. The service was excellent.
Great dining experience with friends. Food are pretty good, not the best. The atmosphere is nice and staff was friendly.
Always great steak and seafood meals to be enjoyed here!
Came for a usual Keg experience dinner with my family. Service was slow, food made me ill, and no one left satisfied with their expensive meal. Decided to contact them discreetly and just got gaslit by whoever is in charge of emails. Definitely not worth the price or time and got no resolution. Would give this location negative stars if I could
All the staff here were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. Shout out to Marco for encouraging me to order my steak the way I wanted it! Kid-friendliness: We forgot to add the toddler as a person on the reso and they were super accommodating and brought out a high chair, coloring page with crayons, and a little veggie and dip tray.
Great fine dining restaurant! Vegetarian options: Vegan and vegetarian options Food : 5/5 |
Dont go on a hot day. Food was good and the waitress was nice but it was so hot in the restaurant we really couldnt enjoy the meal. I paid $125 for me and my gf . Didnt even finish our drinks, we just had to get out of there.
The Keg used to be our go to steak house. Unfortunately over the years, things have changed & declined. I wouldn t go there again-especially for the prices they charge. Food : 3/5
Went for a date night last week. Food was ok . Ordered the Prime Rib and Blackened Chicken. Prime rib was fine. Blackened chicken was lightly spiced grilled chicken. Service was fine. The worst thing, our table and the two or three tables around us were inundated with fruit flies. We told our server, but was not taken seriously. Nothing like shooing or clapping at flies while eating. Not worth the $100 bill.
Our favourite steak place in Kelowna!
The Billy miner pie is delicious!
Great dinner here tonight. Excellent service from the bar staff and our dining server, Faith.
Seats are not comfortable at all. The menu is just ok because they have Limited options for food. No doubt ,service is great. Overall, it was just okay. My expectations were higher from this place.
We went for my daughters 8th birthday because she really wanted to go here. When I reserved the time, I indicated with the online reservation it was for a birthday and then told the server in person when we arrived that it was her birthday. They made zero mention of it, nothing, zilch. Very disappointing for a $200 meal that they didnt make any effort to help us celebrate the event.
This was such a great place for dinner! The serving is huge, and lots of fish with the amazing tarter sauce is definitely worth having--no disappointment all Its small and rugged and quaint as you would want from this type of restaurant
My husband and I had reservations for 6:30pm on Friday night. We arrived at 6:10pm and were able to be seated right away. We decided to order a couple of appies and a few drinks. The food was great and our server was polite. While still eating and enjoying our drinks another server/floor manager approached our table to verify that would not be ordering an main dishes. We said we were happy with just appies... he continued to let us know that there was a large group coming in and asked when we planned on being done... we were shocked!!! We hadnt even been there an hour! A few moments later he approached the table of 4 next to us who had ordered appies, mains, and a bottle or two of wine and asked the same question!!! Another few moments passed and he started bringing out cutlery rolls and side plates to stack on an empty table. Needless to say we felt rushed and not worthy of being there just to order appies. I personally find this unacceptable for any restaurant, let alone one that is considered higher end. It will be some time before we consider coming back.
I had my first Keg experience and it was fantastic! We thoroughly enjoyed every bite of our meal. That says a lot when you have a very fussy eater in your group.
Its always good there. Easy for special occasions. Even when they make a mistake they are quick to fix it and take care of you. Will be coming back for sure.
We, love the Baseball Steak. We love the twice baked potato. We love the 3cheese garlic butter. The Surf and Turf seasonal options with fresh seafood from Eastern Canada, flown in daily, should grab those looking for something different. But I had the best steak of my life this year. Baseball Steak. 4 the win. Wheelchair accessibility: Highly Accessible Wide open doors, accessible parking, wide corridors flowing to accessible tables.
Food was great (had steak+lobster); no ambience for a steak house, or date night; but ok for quick bite. Reservation absolutely necessary!
Food was delicious, wait staff very friendly and knowledgeable about menu items, pleasant atmosphere.
Just wonderful
The food was great as always. Just super disappointed that they no longer serve crab legs.
Everything was amazing, except the cuts of meat. Those were well below what I would expect from the Keg. I didnt send anything back, the manager was pleasant and knocked an appy off the bill.
Delicious steak, prepared well, chicago style is a must!
Very loud and busy. With good food but pricy
Excellent service and delicious food! Highly recommend this restaurant, especially for special occasions, like 20th wedding anniversaries.
Ordered a steak medium , delivered over cooked fries were good and the ketchup didn t disappoint at all.
Filet Mignon and Garclic Mash potatoes on point! Yummy Ceasars
Amazing for business dinner nice ambience , Sierra the server was amazing
Waiter was awesome
Service was extremely slow, our server was very unattentive ordered a New York Striploin, it was hard to chew, definitely not worth $60. On top of that my wife and I ended up getting sick from the food. I was expecting much better. Food : 2/5
Poor quality food for the price.
If I could give it a zero, I would. Server bragged about happy hour but charged us full price. Spent $61 on a 20oz Rib steak, it was so fatty and paper thin, no way it was 20oz. Server only came around when it was time to pay. Spent $165, a complete waste. Taste, service and quality of food was Poor.
Been going to the keg for years in Kelowna have always had a good experience , until our last visit the prime rib was chewy and tasteless and the au jus was cold and tasteless. The drinks were sub par just watered down couldn t even taste any alcohol, at first I asked my wife if it was me but she is like no things have gone down hill since we have been here last. The server although polite didn t seem to notice we had barely touched our drinks. Very disappointing as we were just saying how the Keg is consistently good. The manager was kind enough to come over and comped one of our meals but also didn t validate our concerns and said nothing has changed. The prime rib is always good but this was chewy to the point of being hard to cut, thinner than previous occasions and flavourless. For the price I could have made prime rib at home. I hope they will take steps to improve the quality. I personally will not go back.
I have been to this Keg many times. I hate to say how disappointed I am with the food. Poor quality and taste. Portions are also smaller too. The manager did comp one of our meals. Dont ecommend unfortunately anymore.
Celebrated my birthday with my husband tonight at the keg and we had one of the most wonderful experiences. Food and wine were delicious. Our server Rebecca was hands down one of the most amazing servers I ve ever had. I ve worked in the industry for over 10 years and it was so refreshing to have someone so knowledgeable and fun to create an outstanding experience! We will be back again and hope to have her as our server!! Thanks again Rebecca for making our evening even more special!
We were there for our wedding supper..the staff and the food was just so amazing..the staff really out did themselves and went out of there way..we have gone back there several times...just amazing staff..the food ..was so so yummmmmmy.I would highly recommend the keg ....to the manager..thank you for letting us have our wedding day supper there...you and your staff and the cooks rock..so this year was our first anniversary..I thought since the keg was so amazing during our wedding supper why not go there for our first anniversary..our waiter ..only came to our table 3 times..most of his time was spent talking to other people at a different table...he was over at that table more...we felt rushed during our meal....we came in.. we didnt have time to settle before we were asked why are we drinking..and then we put our order in.....our salad came the same time as our meal...it felt like we were in and out of there in 20 minutes..wow...I didnt realize we were taking up space..our waiter never asked how our food was or if we wanted a dessert..I told the waiter that this is a special night..my wife and I are celebrating our first anniversary.......I sure dont know what happened to last year to this year....I think we will go somewhere else next year..not the keg...
Steak was perfect
Great Service, Always and the food is 5 star deluxe. You want a steak house ... go to a Keg! Vegetarian options: Not only do my Vegetarian friends enjoy the Keg they go for the many options that they have on the menu! Dietary restrictions: Always take care of our special orders. Parking: no hassle parking Kid-friendliness: We have well behaved 8 year old that knows his manners. great food options. fast service. Wheelchair accessibility: Ease of Access, well taken care of from the parking lot to the table.
We stopped by The Keg Kelowna for a family celebration. It is one of the only restaurants that can accommodate our family s food allergies. We have a couple of allergies including a severe dairy allergy. The culinary manager at this location was fantastic- they really put us at ease by double checking all ingredients for us. We go to other Keg restaurants often and find they have some of the best allergy and food restriction services in the business for us. The walk through of what could be made dairy free was excellent and the food was superb as always. Being a large group it can be tough but everything was perfect! Dietary restrictions: We phoned the restaurant for the reservation and went earlier in the evening when it was slower. They were extremely accommodating of a severe dairy allergy. Double checked all the ingredients and dishes we chose. They provided options for how to cook fries by baking them rather than frying in shared fryers. The only thing we would have liked was a dairy free dessert option without a may contain warning.
Today we tried summer menu which was fresh lobster and seafood steak. It was really big and yummy ^^ Food
They took care because of my allergies
Wow is all I can say for this location. Had fantastic service and an even better meal. The keg is pretty standard for dining, but I would say this location is better than others weve dined at.
Always great!
It was good, popa zeviar(my step grandad)throughout the meal was beyond thrilled! He s hard of hearing, non verbal, and non mobile, but it was very accessible and they were very patient taking his order. Wheelchair accessibility: Great!
Excellent service. Professional friendly staff. Busy restaurant but we were attended. The kids food was excellent, And our Baseball Steaks were exceptional. Exquisite! Kid-friendliness: Our kids turn 8 and 10 this year, with some unique challenges, but Kelowna Keg was awesome. Kids loved their burger.
Food was OK. No ambience for a steak house. Our server was very nice but the majority of staff were very cold and unwelcoming. The prime rib sandwich was excellent the fries were cold and withered. Hubbys steak was underdone for med rare but he said it tasted great. Food : 4/5
Our waiter, Ben, was fantastic. However, the food at the new inflated prices was not great. It was my moms 80th birthday, and fathers day. It wasnt busy at 4pm when we had our reservation for, so I cant use they were busy as a plausible excuse. My mom ordered the cauliflower, and it was sooo spicey hot none of us could even eat it. The peppercorn New York (my favorite) was soo saturated in pepper that even after scraping it off was almost not palatable. My husband ordered the prime rib sandwich, which was excellent, but it was served with a small handful of cold French fries. Not a complainer, but at those prices, I was very disappointed and embarrassed because I chose the Keg for our double celebration.
Loved the food, enjoyed the ambience and good service.
More than accommodating. Fabulous dinning experience all around!
Had a great meal with friends.
There was 6 of us at the keg on 23 of June, we all ordered fillet miyong. We were looking for the best cut and we were not disappointed, it was excellent and we had a couple of bottles of red wine. It was a totally enjoyable evening, along with a 3 day weekend in Kelowna on airbnb made it a superb stay for us
I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Keg in Kelowna, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by the staff, who were incredibly attentive and friendly throughout our visit. The food was absolutely fantastic. We started with the kids menue, which was perfectly cooked and delicious. For the main course, we enjoyed the prime rib and chicken, both cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The sides, including the garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus, complemented the meal beautifully. The staff truly went above and beyond to make our evening special. They were knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations. Our server was particularly attentive, ensuring our glasses were never empty and checking in regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. The ambiance of The Keg in Kelowna is also worth mentioning. The cozy and elegant setting made for a perfect evening out. Whether youre celebrating a special occasion or just looking for a great meal, The Keg is the place to go. Overall, The Keg in Kelowna exceeded our expectations in every way. Great food, amazing staff, and a wonderful atmosphere make it a must-visit. We cant wait to return!
A well run Keg. It is what you would usually get from The Keg, great food and service. The imposed time limit is a little weird, especially when we reserved a wedding party dinner.
Not as good as when we came a couple month ago server made it sound like the crab and lobster and sirloin would come with a lobster tail. Fries were cold steak was cold. Barely any lobster and crab. Served wasn t that friendly not happy with the visit
Always keeping up to their standard and should have a quiet area too noisy.
Had a wonderful experience tonight. The ladies welcoming us in and taking us to our table were very nice, our server Keith was friendly and gave amazing service. Food was outstanding so thank you to the chefs and staff. Very glad we made this our last stop before heading back home tomorrow. Looking forward to our next visit!
Besides the music, which was a little loud on the patio as well as different from what was playing inside, which hurt my brain, our experience was great. The food was so good. We both had sirloin as the rest of the cuts were too big and it did not disappoint. Mouth watering! The creme brulé was soooo good. Our server Mandy was super sweet. The restaurant was clean and the staff all looked spiffy in their uniforms.
Food and service was absolutely fantastic, will definitely be recommending this restaurant to family and friends, thank you so much.
It was ridiculously expensive, but it was such a great experience. Really good food, romantic ambiance, and a very skilled and attentive server made the night wonderful.
This would be the last time we would come to The Keg Kelowna. We have been frequent flyers at the Keg Kelowna for past 5 years but since last year there had been some issues with our food. Last year 3 times we went in and ordered our steak medium rare, each time our steak came medium to well done with one time it being way to chewy. Everytime we would send it back, a Manager would come over to tell us that steak looks different in natural sunlight as we would be sitting on covered patio. Pretty much telling us we dont know what a medium rare steak looks and taste like(FYI my GF is a red seal chef with over 25 years of experience so try again). But somehow our newly made steak would come out perfectly cooked. We did not go back for a year. Fast forward to yesterday when we went in for some food. Our server Faith was less than interested in serving us as it showed in her service. She barely checked on us and forgot one of our ordered food item and when we were done with meal, she came over and told us that our slider would be right out. We told her that we were at the end of our meal and she made an excuse that she was trying to pace the food while no new food had came to our table in over 20 mins. Clearly that pissed her off as she sent another gentlemen to take our payment( I understand it happening when you are super busy and everyone helping each other out but it wasnt that busy last night). Sorry to write a long review but maybe Keg can learn a thing or two from Cactus club as their food and service has always been impeccable and that would be our go to place from now.
We were very disappointed with our night at the keg tonight. It was a nice slow Monday night at 7pm and we were only having to wait about 15 minutes to get seated, as a walk in. However, youd think theyd have pre-set the table, instead of clearing the extra place settings AFTER we were sat. Not sure what that wait was about. Theyre dreadfully over staffed with kids that really arent being led. Just wandering around, all over the place. We wanted to to have an appy with a couple cocktails, catch up, then have our mains, but, unfortunately, we felt rushed out. Why are you trying to flip tables on a slow night when theres no one to take the table? They obviously had our steaks pre-made because they came out in about 7 minutes. Long before our appy was to show. I ordered a nice glass of wine to go with my main too. So there we are.... with wine, full cocktails and our mains in 10 minutes! Finished in 30 mins! We REALLY wanted to have a nice relaxing Keg experience. We wouldve stayed 2 hours and probably had dessert & more drinks too. Id commend you if this was Dennys! But we pay a premium for an experience at the Keg. This one is not like a normal keg. They try to rush you and get you out asap. Your servers need to learn how to course and expidite the different courses accordingly, and within proper time. And, you guys really are missing an opportunity to increase your check averages Ive had a more timely & intimate experiences at breakfast joints! Food was to standard, but we really felt rushed out, for no reason. The music was like being in a caberet night club downtown, while 90% of the guests were over 50! I also dont know why the buss boy did a quality check after the server did. And maybe that buss boy was your floor manager?!!?! He needs a haircut and to graduate from high school! Seems like this particular keg is being run by children. Very disappointing. Probably wouldnt return to this particular Keg. Such a shame. Theres more professionally run fine dinning establishments in Kelowna at just as good or better price points.
Marco was our server on Friday night. Made our experience fantastic and you can tell he takes pride in his work. Highly recommend him!
Very delicious food! Enjoyed my dinner
We had a lovely dining experience at the Keg in Kelowna for our 25th wedding anniversary. The portions were very generous and the meal was served nice and hot. Our server and fellow team members were very friendly and efficient. The food quality was flavourful. Lots to choose from on the menu. Our only challenges be behind the restaurant a little dark and its a tad difficult to read the menu. We will return!
We go here often! Always great!
Always a good experience
One steak a bit overdone.
Fantastic place
The waitress was very nice but I wouldnt go back to expensive even in happy hour
Take a long time to get your food. The pricing is expensive
Food is always amazing, service is always fantastic! I think my waiters name was Hector, impeccable service made the night so much better! I wish management was allowed to ask people to step outside with their screaming babies though .
Steak mashed potatoes want your hockey game with good music
We had dinner last night, Excellent meal! Our server Adam, very professional, smiling.
Overall disappointed. To start we were seated at a dirty table, in fact the 4 tables around us were all dirty, I had to wipe the table off myself. The most disappointing was the service regarding the mediocre food. My parter was unsatisfied with the rice they received and only ate half of their meal. Upon bringing this up to the waitress we were told the manager would have replaced it when they asked us our our food was, however we were asked not even a minute after receiving our food before even trying the rice. So at the end of it we left paying full price for a meal that wasnt enjoyed nor eaten, and we had to clean our own table when we got there. Unimpressed. If you feel like going out for a nice dinner there are better options in kelowna, that are better organized and have better customer service, you also will probably be seated at a clean table.
Celebrated my birthday there last night, had prime rib, asked for an end cut with Oscar topping. It was amazing, as was my wifes perfectly cooked Teriyaki steak. The Calamari is also very good. Nice ambiance on the Patio, and top shelf service from Chris. Thank you for memorable evening! Dont forget The Billy Miner Pie or Creme Brulee for dessert.
We had a reservation for 12 people on Mothers Day at 2pm. 3 people asked for steaks (medium) and all 3 were on the rare side where 1 person had requested it go back for a little longer. They brought out another steak and it was well done. So one extreme to the other. One childs burger was rock hard. Service was suspect too as we ordered a bottle of wine where the gentleman just left the bottle on the table. No attempt to serve it for us. We all ordered desserts and we had to wait at least 5 mins after delivery for our spoons. Very disheartening considering we are there quite often as we have a big family and this has been the go to place for celebrations. If one was to think that, not including the 2 kids, 10 adults all had an appetizer, full meals ranging from steaks to lobster dishes and all ordering desserts, with drinks too boot at dinner, the dollars we spent should have enabled us better food and service. With tip our meal was north of $1000.00... Also, with our reservation, they placed us outside where it was quite windy and hot. Needless to say we are very disappointed and quite questionable on when we return.
The food is good I really love the salmon pistachio crust and the Brussels sprouts. Everything here is amazing and if it s you birthday you get a free ice cream cake and it s so good
Parking: Parking is plentiful in the Superstore lot if you dont mind a small walk to the restaurant. Food
Food, service and atmosphere was great.
Great dinner
Our server was probably the best server Ive ever had the pleasure of dealing with. You can really tell when someone loves what they do for a living.
An insider tip, fillet is recommended. Prices are high, but so is quality. Good price-performance ratio
Food wasnt great, served cold and over done. Nice setting and staff were decent but service was a bit slow.
Enjoyed another birthday celebration here recently. The prime rib was perfect and it is hard to beat those Keg dirty martinis! Our server was Kortnay and she was wonderful! Thanks for making our evening even more special Kortnay!
Reasonable menu heavy on beef, prices not cheap, very noisy with full house and with background music playing. Great service. Friendly.
I m not usually the type of person to leave bad reviews as I have also worked in the restaurant industry, but this one I feel is sufficient. I have been to The Keg many times before but I decided to order the Prime Rib and it came out looking very raw. I asked to have it cooked a bit longer and they happily obliged. It came back perfect and tasted amazing, but I ended up getting food poisoning later that night. I ll definitely never order that dish again.
This place was exceptional. Food was AMAZING staff were AWESOME. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
The Vegatar Shephards pie was absolutely delicious.
Its the Keg, best steaks and amazing service, always an enjoyable experience for that special occasion Wheelchair accessibility: Level entrance, lots of wheelchair space
We had a mini reunion there tonight, people we hadnt seen in 35+ years. There were 7 people in our party. The service was non-existent, the steak was very overcooked, the $14 Appy plate of Caesar Salad had no dressing and was top of the leaf of romaine only and the one with the most croutons had 4 on their plate. We didnt hurry, the company was excellent, but we were waiting quite awhile for our bill when the poor kid was chosen to come tell us wed overstayed our allowed time.
Our initial order of Bellini was a tasteless, watered down serving of mostly melted ice it was returned. Our main course was undercooked blackened chicken with a strip of skin whose underside was practically raw! It was served with broccoli and beet that appeared to be flung onto the plate from a distance. The manager came to the table after we expressed to our server that the meal was okay this because my company did not want to complain. He expressed not knowing what to say after we shared our disappointment and did little to nothing to ameliorate the tragedy. To top it off, the host was scraping gum from the underside of the table next to us while we ate. Thanks, Keg! Today we re up with a terrible bellyache. It ll be a memorable birthday celebration .
I went there for my wedding anniversary but I completely ruined. I asked for the medium but the stake was almost raw , so I asked for the other one , but it was more severe than the first one. It was cold and raw too. While tasting two stakes, it was really disgusting to me that I feel like eating raw meat , and I lost my appetite. They refunded for that stake, but I wasted my time and ruined my anniversary.
I came in for dinner on Friday night with my husband and we were so impressed with Nick! His knowledge of the menu and prime rib was astounding. He able to answer all the questions my husband had and help him choose an amazing meal that he truly enjoy. We will definitely be coming back for Nick and prime rib again!!!
Food was excellent, service was phenomenal, courteous and friendly! Love to go again! Food
Great service and staff. 100% recommend.
The Keg is really hit and miss it seems. What once was our familys go-to for special occasions is now just an expensive night out for an okay meal that, frankly, we could have cooked at home. Im quite certain our server, Liam, has been on the front line of negative feedback considering how he viewed our steaks from a distance, but did not approach the table to inquire if everything was good. I want more engagement and connection from a dining experience. I give the meal and the service a solid meh. Ill put my money where my mouth is next time were planning an evening out.
Decent place to have prime rib dinner. Expensive, the only way we went is because we had a gift card.
Really solid food but pretty pricey. One time they burnt my burger which was pretty annoying but overall solid. Parking: Pretty good parking i wish the spots where a bit bigger Wheelchair accessibility: My brother was in a wheelchair for a bit made it in fine!
Prime rib was awful and very over priced!
Had not been to The Keg for years ... was not disappointed. See you again soon! Food
Tonight nick our server blew us away with his top-notch service. Despite the rush, he made us feel like VIPs, dishing out menu tips and keeping our glasses full. His friendly vibe and genuine care made our night. Cant wait to come back for more of Nicks awesome service!
Its The Keg, whats not to love!
Good food, old fashioned was good but could of done with out the whiskey sour.
Patio was open.
Yummy food
Excellent wait staff answered every question . John is 68 tall
Good food and good service
Hard to beat the steak selections at thr Keg!
Wheelchair accessibility: My blind friend had a few issues, but we worked through it with our server. For example, a stemmed wine glass is not as good for him as a smaller, non-stemmed glass, and our host was very accommodating with that solution. Access for him was a bit of fun, in a fairly well-housed restaurant, but we made it work. A few more inches between tables would have been more comfortable for navigation perhaps.
Excellent all around!
The first time we visited this location it was our anniversary dinner, we went for a quick smoke and came back and they cleared our table and told us they thought we were dash and dining. I have NEVER been soo embarrassed to sit back down in a restaurant as I was then. The food was amazing as it always was but we didnt even get compensated for this awful embarrassing mistake. They took my drink off the tray with all the stuff they cleared off the table and put it back on the table for me to finish. So disappointing
Cant beat a Keg steak dinner!
A little pricey but good food
Overall we enjoyed our most recent visit. Quality of food was good. Extremely busy during our visit. Our disappointment was service. While our server was friendly and nice we rarely saw her. Our table was obviously out of her main section and they were trying to keep up with high demand. Hopefully attention to customers can improve, we would have ordered more beverages if we could have received more attention. We will try again somewhere down the road.
Went to the keg for a nice birthday meal for my mother, pre booked online, and went this evening. Was told I couldn t have a booth for 2 so they sat us in the middle aisle right by the front door. The table they sat us at had ripped seats, and people constantly kicking our seats walking by. On top of that two young boys making faces at me and my mother disturbing us our whole meal. Irresponsible parents and lack of care towards their children. Tried to explain to our server and the parents, got no where. Honestly just embarrassing. Normally wouldn t care but It s the keg, you spend a couple hundred bucks on a nice meal, you shouldn t have to be watching your shoulder for people and dealing with unsupervised kids under 10. They shouldn t even have this table at the restaurant in the worst space in the facility. Ruined my mother s meal. Still left my tip and excepted it. I expect that from a McDonald s not a keg restaurant.
The meal was great, was having some issues when we were trying to book a table. However our server was great
Birthday dinner. Prime rib ordered medium....came RARE!!! Never send back, but had to cause could not eat raw meat. Said, ok will remake. Nada. Same steak just recooked. Know how, because the original was ordered with the Oscar topping and there were lingering remnants. YUK. Not a steakhouse to me. So disappointing.
service sucks, employees are rude and i am never coming here every again.
A little cool, as we had to sit on the patio. Using the heater made it too warm, so it was a see saw of back and forth. All the food was good, except that the blackened chicken was a bit too salty. However, what was very impressive was the service from Marcus. Friendly, professional, didnt hover but was always there just at the right time. So he deserved the large tip we left. But what was really impressive was that he came back to our table and shook my hand and thanked me for it. First time that has happened for me and I appreciated it. Well done, Marcus. Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating for gluten free and very careful to ensure that when serving
Marcus, our server, was top notch and classy! My blackened chicken was good but a bit salty. All veggie accompanyments were cooked beautifully!
Best Steak in Town. Excellent service
My wife and I spent Sunday evening celebrating a late valentine s. I ordered Prime Rib and my wife had the Top Sirloin Oscar. My meal was fine but the Top Sirloin came in a baseball shape and was completely raw. We sent it back only to have the second steak be tough, chewy and uncuttable. We use to love the Keg food now I think we could never go back it was that bad of an experience.
Our waitress was the best.Great service Great food
Very nice server and other staff. Three people dined, all three had disappointing steak. Thick, tough and at $46 it should not be that way. The rest of meal was good. I have yet to have a great meal at the Keg in Kelowna. Yet I still end up going there for various occasions.
Service was exceptional. Our steaks were perfectly done. We will be back.
Tried to stop in for dinner tonight. We were fine with waiting for 15-20 minutes due to not having reservations. While standing there we watched 5 groups of 2 get brought in before us. Even heard the guy at the front say to a couple. It s about an hour wait but I ll get you in right away . We ended up leaving due to the terrible service.
I went to the Keg for my boyfriend and I s anniversary. We had the best customer service we ve had in years! Our server was Carson. He was friendly and professional. However, was still able to make our experience very personable. Would highly recommend dining at the keg and if you get the chance to have Carson as your server it will be exceptional. Cannot express enough how lovely our anniversary had felt. Thank you.
Came into the Keg tonight and we were extremely delighted with our waiter, Nick. He was so polite and helpful, we had a great experience. We really appreciated that he took the time to have a good conversation and made us feel so welcomed. Food was excellent as well. This restaurant is clearly run beautifully- they take the time to train their employees and keep things running smoothly. Great location & fortunate to have it in our area. 10/10 visit!
Food wasn t as good as I remember. Had the pistachio salmon with mash before but disappointed this time. Also, the calamari was overdone and dry, so we didn t finish it.
The best dining experience you will find in Kelowna! All of the staff were very attentive with all the aspects throughout our 2 hours spent there. Even though it was a full restaurant the atmosphere was perfect for a date night and we didnt like the service dropped at any point. Would recommend this place over any Kelowna place for a special occasion dinner. A special shoutout to our server Kortnay on the night. Will be returning for sure, thank you to all the staff at The Keg.
Came in for appy s the food was fantastic and our server Josh was amazing!
Another win for Celiac-challenged diners! The Keg Kelowna has always provided a great gluten-free experience. Management personally comes to the table to acknowledge my Ceiliacness, lol, and the staff are keenly aware of cross-contamination issues. The shrimp cocktail (large and fresh), steak (always cooked to perfection), twice baked potatoes {omg!!), margaritas (get the Keg size, lol), and creme brulee (mini or regular sized) are all delish. I never worry when I eat there, and thats saying a lot for someone with Celiac. Bravo once again! And its fun to dine in the outside covered area during winter with the heaters on, just sayin. Dietary restrictions: Great for Celiac-challenged diners. Parking: Its part of the Superstore/plaza complex, so plenty of parking.
The service was amazing but the tables were a bit small. Parking: Really good Food : 5/5 |
It was what you would expect from a keg
Always great steak, great service. Polite people, good atmosphere. No waiting around!
Amazingggggggggggggggggggggggggg ..... Love this place so much Food
Best steak around
The experience and the food were awesome!!!!
Excellent experience.
Great food as always, service was fast and friendly. Highly recommend.
Our waiter Riley was extremely pleasant and polite.
Hector was absolutely phenomenal! I appreciated the whole experience! (: wonderful person!
Amazing place thr food was outstanding and our waiter was the best :)
I always have a great time at the Keg. Its consistent which I appreciate more than anything. I know I will receive great service and a great meal. Update: Have been coming to the Keg for Dine Around every year for the past three years, plus usually a couple other visits per year. Still consistent, still delicious, still great service. Never a complaint. Parking: Parking is easy to find, but it can get difficult depending on how busy superstore is. Kid-friendliness: Brought our 5 month old, they made us feel comfortable having her in the restaurant. They were also very accommodating about bringing us a seat, but we had brought our own. Wheelchair accessibility: Its a ground level building and is wheelchair accessible.
This was a birthday dinner which really missed the mark. My prime rib arrived with the look of rare as opposed to medium rare. Additionally, some if it was raw as well. Cut of meat should have been better as it was also stringy. Their solution was to toss it on the stove which turned it to a regular piece of meat although quite different from either side. We have enjoyed more than a couple of these dinners but not again. Sadly, business is so good, they wont miss us
