For it not being very busy our service was the only thing lacking, only 3 table most of the night . 3 tables and 2 servers and ours was missing most of the night. But the food was delicious, we did try a lot of the menu. From the chowder to poke bowl to oysters. We would recommend the small oysters over the larger ones but that could just be personal preference.
Stopped in for happy hour and the quality of food and value for money exceeded expectations. We had double gin and tonics for $7.50, a Happy Seafood Tower for $40, and a roll that was 20% off. The seafood was fresh and we had 3 varieties of oysters to try. Excellent maki topped it off. Highly recommend happy hour here.
Best ‘eggs benny’ Ive had in years but the real star was the ‘cheesesteak potato rosti’ - a gorgeous piece of dinner worthy sirloin over an egg hache type bowl. Service and ambiance were amazing. This should be the GO TO breakfast place in town!
Last night we had the pleasure of dining in this very charming restaurant with our friends. Many was our server and a true delight! Knowledgeable, friendly and great service. The food was over the top! Excellent oysters, veggie rolls and halibut was the best I ever ate. A definite new place to frequent often! Thanks to all for a great evening.
I’ve heard a lot of good things about West Coast and it certainly lived up to the hype! Friendly service & Fresh oysters. The pork belly was an incredible addition to the scallops. The stuffed chicken was easily the best chicken I’ve ever had. Even the accompanying vegetables were delicious. Diverse food/drink menu for all palates. Excellent location. I highly recommend this as one of Kelowna’s greatest culinary offerings!!
Was on vacation in Vernon and took a day trip out to Kelowna and decided to stop here for lunch which was probably one of my best decisions of this trip. I got the cod fish and chips and the fish was light and crispy on the outside and it wasn't greasy at all, the fries were so good, they were perfect, crunchy ok the outside and fluffy on the inside, I'd drive the seven hours just to eat this again. The tartar sauce was delicious along with the coleslaw that was so fresh. The service was amazing and it wasn't busy when we had gone in and got 2 orders of the fish and chips and a chicken sandwich and we didn't wait long at all. Overall amazing and I would definitely come back!
My partner and I had a wonderful experience at West Coast Seafood & Raw Bar Kelowna! from the start to finish of our dining experience, the whole team made it fantastic. Our server Terry was a huge part in making the evening enjoyable. He was kind, easy to talk with, and full of knowledge, as well as recommendations when it came to the menu. Terry was also kind enough to let us know of all the specials and deals the restaurant was offering that day. We happened upon happy hour which was a nice bonus to the visit. I sadly did not snap a photo, but started our evening with a dozen oysters, both from the west coast and PEI. They were paired with a tequila mignonette which was absolutely stunning in taste. Both types of oyster were fresh, and a lovely way to start us off. We paired the oysters with a nice bottle of wine from a vineyard Local to Kelowna. My main dish was the Blue Cheese Steak Salad, with my steak cooked to a perfect medium rare. The blue cheese paired so well with the steak, and was complimented nicely by the maple balsamic dressing. All the main salad ingredients were very fresh as well which was perfect for a hot summers day. My partners main dish was the Ale Battered Fish (Cod), and said it was the best he’s ever had.. he eats a lot of fish and chips so I believe him. I’m sad I didn’t have room for dessert, because I know it would have been amazing. Big thank you again to our server Terry for being attentive, and making sure we always had everything we needed during our visit. I would recommend the restaurant to everyone visiting Kelowna!
Our server was so nice, she was very knowledgeable about the menu and had great recommendations. She didn't come by too much, just the right amount. The food was very good, and had a nice presentation. We came at happy hour, and the mussels very good. Poke bowl is also good, not very saucey-only marinate for the tuna.
Just fantastic dinner last night here - absolutely delicious. High quality seafood, finely prepared. Highly recommend! Dont understand the few whiney reviews I saw that dont belong here. 5/5 Dietary restrictions: Were very accommodating for gluten-free needs!
I only had a few types of sashimi when I was here but it was the best sashimi I ever eaten in my life. Definitely want to eat here again.

Our server was absolutely a delight. She was very knowledgeable on menu and drinks. She was from Japan and had great stories to tell on her excursion to Canada, only being here three years, she is delighted to be in our country and loves everything about it. Sushi roll s were delicious. Traffic a little loud. Thanks so much for a fun time.

Best oysters ever!
Party of seven to celebrate a success at work. Service was terrible. Slow, inattentive, no check-back. On a Saturday night it looked like there was only one server plus the host taking care of tables. We started with two of the seafood towers. They were good but it just went downhill from there. Five of us ordered the surf and turf dinner; three plates were missing the prawns. The server and the host did not care one bit about our experience, about up-selling, selling more drinks. We couldnt flag anyone down to order dessert so we left. It was very disappointing.

My husband and I have been dining at West Coast Grill for a few years now. It is one of our favourite restaurants in Kelowna for date night. The food never disappoints. The service is always great, but during our last visit, Emir s service was spectacular!! He provided the best service we ve ever experienced! Thank you Emir!

Went there by myself and didn t know what to expect, although Rodney gave me the best service at the counter, everything was ready very quickly and tasted amazing. Only a little correction for the happy hours is 2:30-5:30 got there few minutes late because i taught it was 3-6 then again Rodney manage to get me the oysters on the happy hours. Would recommend to anyone that enjoy seafoods in Kelowna!

Vancouver Island large oysters were awesome. Salmon sashimi, stuffed mushrooms and seafood pasta were unreal. Great service amd wonderful wine pairings.
Fresh oysters and other unique tasty seafood dishes like seared scallops on pork belly and a beautiful burrata and tomato salad. Highly recommend! Also the service is fantastic.

This is not a good restaurant, you will be doing yourself a favor by going someplace else. I made a reservation for six people for my in-laws anniversary. Service was very bad and slow from the start, the waitress brought 5 menus for 6 people and never fixed it. When she served us wine she spilled on the table and never bothered to clean it up until we asked. Three of us ordered dishes with mussels, in all three plates more then half the mussels were broken with the shell fragments scattered throughout our food. (see picture) When we brought this to the attention of our waitress she tried to tell us this is normal. I have had mussels alot and never had more then one or two broken shells in a plate, this is just carelessness by the cooks. We had to argue with the waitress to get any kind of compensation for a meal that no one really enjoyed at all.
When I was in Kelowna I can t stop coming from west coast , it become my addiction because of the calamari and margarita, I highly recommended it
No AC working on hot summer day. 40 degrees outside and hotter inside. Service was pleasant the people are great but food took a long time and below par. We ask for a plain kids cheese burger it came with sauce. The wifes arctic char was dry. My steak should have been medium rare they gave me almost blue lots of sauce. We would have ask for food to be fixed but it was too hot and uncomfortable to stay longer. We just end up taking the food out
If you are in Kelowna and want some fresh seafood then just come to this restaurant. The food was 10/10 and the service was top notch!
Came here for the first time and was very impressed with the generous portions and excellent service. We had the sushi appetizer special which was too much for 4 people, the salmon special, lobster ravioli and the fish stew. Highly recommend!
We celebrated our 25th anniversary at West Coast Seafood & Raw Bar, sand it couldnt have been know perfect. We were welcomed upon entry, and the host (also our server) discretely offered us our choice of tables due to some hearing issues. Once seated, our server gave us time to order, enjoy our food and drink, and enjoy the restaurant. The food was great. Perfectly shucked oysters for appetizer, and the char and steak and seafood for our mains. All cooked as we like and seasoned nicely. The bar drinks were well made, and the wine delicious as one would expect. They surprised us with a dessert, and though we were very full, we still managed to find a place for it. We could not have been any happier. Thank you for helping us celebrate our silver anniversary!
We did not eat here... we were here on a business visit in the hotel. The gentleman that served our group for drinks was perfect. Right on the ball and had an amazing attitude and sense of humor. Je even remembered my drink of choice the next night.

We came here for dinner and had a couple drinks. We got the Westcoast tower along with a chef recommended sushi roll. It was all so amazing, so fresh. Lovely atmosphere and great food. We will definitely be coming back!

Seems to have just changed ownership, but they have hit the ground running. Had the Kelowna Roll as an appy, and it was amazing. Had lobster ravioli and fish tacos as entres. The fish tacos are a very big meal. All the food was terrific, service was great, and the environment is bright and welcoming. Will definitely return!

I came in a bit late and the server, Stojanche, was there right away. Relaxed, polite and ready with advice and very nice service. The Kracken Colada was delish! The prawn fritters crispy, fresh annd crunchy. Not tiny shrimp! Did not have a full meal but everyone did seem happy eating away. Another person came even later and again he greeted him like they were just opening in the afternoon. Very nice place to just walk in. Good job West Coast Grill
Been here a few times, food is pretty good, however this time I placed an order over the phone for take-out. When I walked in the restaurant the host guy said to me ladies room? Not even a hello, those were the first words out of his mouth when he saw me. I was taken aback by it so I replied pardon me? And once again he just says Do you need to use the ladies room? I replied no, I ordered food for pick up. I did not feel inclined to tip due to this mans poor etiquette.
The Ling Cod fish tacos are beyond amazing . So fresh! Perfectly balanced bites . great for sharing with a friend! Oh and get the side salad . so, so fresh and crisp (wish I had taken pictures before diving in)
Simply put, the best seafood dinner we have ever enjoyed. Anywhere. Special occasion for our family so we decided to splurge a little. Started with fresh oysters (fresh, well presented and delicious!) crab cakes and large prawn cocktail. All outstanding. Main courses of Ciopino (generous portions of mussels, prawns and cod), Asian style pan fried Haddock and a meal size seafood themed salad. The fish and shellfish all cooked to perfection and everything well seasoned. The owner was on hand and stopped by to ensure that everything was to out satisfaction. It was small gesture but greatly appreciated. Well be back - and will try to taste the entire menu! Kid-friendliness: Dedicated kids menu!
Food was Not that great over done fritto misto chewy and not great said that they are bringing back the old calamari..but that doesn t matter if you do not know how to cook it?..., tuna tataki was good. Service was okay. Typical hotel food Food

This restaurant is amazing for a classier hang out or a place to impress your date. Trust. Decor and ambience in this restaurant is a huge +. The food is a little pricey, but for the taste, its worth it. Must haves are the Soy glazed brussel sprouts, Steamer pot clams/mussels comes with fried hickory sticks, which you can submerge in the sauce and enjoy later, or have it crunchy when served! Braised beef Mac n cheese, and tuna Crudo. Just an amazing place to come to for a treat.

Had dinner and breakfast here while staying at the Prestige. The calamari was some of the best I have ever had - not overdone in the slightest, and the jalapeño and onion slices were the perfect flavour combo. Breakfast had a good selection of fare without being overwhelming. Food : 5/5

We had a really nice lunch, celebrating our Anniversary. The fresh oysters were so good, as was the clam chowder & seafood steamers & we finished strong with mud pie! Our service was 5 star & this restaurant is a hidden gem!! Will absolutely be back. *you can park for free in their lot when dining - just ask. Parking: You have to ask & register your vehicle.

Seating was tight even though the restaurant was almost empty. I found the atmosphere to be slightly cold/uninviting. May feel better in the summer . Food was good but nothing impressive. Service was good, but not exceptional.

Definitely some of the best Calamari I ve ever had. Oysters were super fresh too. We got the seafood pasta and the pesto mushroom pasta. Perfectly cooked seafood. Mushroom pasta had a very good unique sauce. Would recommend!

Had my wife s birthday here a couple of weeks ago. Have to say that Emir was absolutely stellar! His customer service is second to none. The only issue I had to say was the resturant did not staff enough for the number of people that would have been there. I have come back a couple of times since, only when I know Emir is there, because I know the service will be exemplary!
Good value food and congenial atmosphere. All was eclipsed by a friendly and patient hostess Jennifer. We ll be back. Parking: Parking is sometimes a challenge for non-resident guests but often available at back. Casual diners could have vehicles endorsed at desk or restaurant when entering in order to mitigate penalty for parking in hotel space. Kid-friendliness: Server was super friendly (but never intrusive). Refreshing!

Boyfriend and I came for a Christmas Eve meal and we experienced wonderful service with the most polite staff and management. The holiday cocktails were delicious and refreshing with the cranberry and rosemary sprigs. Low lighting and natural elements in the decor by the beach presented the perfect quiet relaxing atmosphere for a night spent together. The meal was presented perfectly, great evening from a lovely venue.
We went to the West Coast Grill for Christmas dinner. The food was excellent and very good value for the money. The atmosphere was relaxed and quiet and the service was outstanding. We will certainly be going back.

I was blow away first and formemoat by the service. Amir made my nine year old daughter feel like the most special guest. The food was amazing, and the atmosphere is perfect. I love seafood, but there are options for everyone. My kids tried oysters for the first time and the whole restaurant loved watching their reactions. 5 star all the way.

Highly recommend. My partner and I enjoyed a few appetizers, the lunch, dinner and shared a dessert - See photos for description. The atmosphere was lovely. Service was professional and friendly. Seating was very comfortable. During lunch the natural sunlight beautifully lit up the restaurant. Compliments to the whole staff, even the music was on point for us. They just happened to play some of our fav songs.
This was the first time my friend and I have been to this restaurant. WOW, from the moment we walked in, Amir, greeted us with a smile, warm greeting and kindness with his service. Perfection! We 100% enjoyed our appetizers THE steamer pot is mussels & clams with a choice of curry lime, chipotle sausage ,tomato or wine & garlic sauce. We both ordered the wine & garlic sauce & it was absoutely delicious! Yum! ALSO We shared the calamari for the appetizer as well HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

This was my first time here as I was visiting Kelowna after 10 years. I had the pesto pasta with prawns, and my fiancee had the steak with lobster tail.The meals and drinks were very good.The service and ambiance were nice facing the Okanagan lake.
I like this restaurant for its atmosphere and friendly people who works there. Yesterday we went with our friends for a happy hour (3pm - 6 pm) and had a great time. We ordered the raw oysters, calamari, brussels sprouts and truffle fries (with 50% off during happy hour). As always fresh and tasty food and positive vibes in this place. Its a perfect place to go with your friends and spend time on the cozy couch or a bar (by the way, the bartender impressed us with his creativity). Cheers

Highly recommended. We went during happy hour and enjoyed each dishes we ordered. The fresh oyster and seafood platter already made us very full, but we also ordered seafood chowder and a Westcoast seafood pasta. Very fresh seafood, and I cant imagine how much they added into the seafood chowder. One order is enough for two. The service is fantastic and the staffs are acquainted with their menu selections. I ordered a non-alcohol drink which I liked it alot. As for the dinning atmosphere, it is amazing. Very spacious and casual. The only picky part will be the AC cooling, which I find it a bit too warm inside, especially sitting by the window. It will be nice if the AC is turn on.
Waitress was great..but..it took almost a full hour to get our food and my burger was burnt..tasted like a frozen burger and the calamari was very underwhelming for the prices that they charge. Wont be back there

This post has been a long time coming as this was our date night out in the second week of May. No kids over the weekend we decided to treat outsells to oysters which we ordered over 50 of them. When you crave them And don t want to do it yourself at home I highly recommend coming into the west coast grill patio and take it all in. Our waiter I believe his name was Matthew was attentive to our every request. We ordered Preseco hubby ordered beer and we actually didn t know it but we came at the right time which was happy hour so basically drank An ate two for the price of one. Sitting out on the patio in the summer heat was amazing on a Saturday afternoon people watching was so much fun. Everything was perfect. It seemed that we were there for a few hours so we ended up ordering fish n chips and turf to go. I m telling you by the time we got home our bellies were stuffed The food was one point, the staff were so attentive everyone was friendly and they seemed really happy to be where they were. Hats off to the servers chefs staff and everyone who made us feel amazing by welcoming us into the space. Our date was a huge success. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves oysters And a Sunday afternoon scene. No disappointments here. Thank you so much we will be back.

Great specials, the oysters were out of stock when we arrived and then in the middle of our meal - a fresh load arrived and we got to taste some fine oysters to say the least!
Excellent restaurant, food was good and wasnt busy at noon on a Friday. I think the only problem is parking, have to park on the street or in the park.

Very delicious food. We had the Steamers Pot with white wine and garlic (not on the menu) you have to ask for it. The,steak and the calamari were great as well. We didnt expect this high standards in Kolowna. Very friendly service.

Food was quite good. We had 6 oysters on the half shell (no photos) with I would deam standard garnishes as well as the Saku Tuna Club and Tuna Crudo. The mains of each dish was good. With the club it was good and as Ive been informed bacon makes everything better. The Crudo was well put together where I didnt feel like I had too much of one thing over another or as if they had skimped on a specific ingredient. The flavours melded well as I mixed it before placing it on the crackers. Service was good to excellent where the server was attentive without being intrusive. She was also taking care of other customers as well. While it wasnt busy, I find that its easier to be neglected at some restaurants when they arent busy, that didnt occur here.
By far one of the top restaurants Ive been too in the two plus years ive lived in Kelowna. The prices were very reasonable especially for how tasty & well prepared the food was. Couldnt recommend more. My fiancée & I look forward to returning. Wheelchair accessibility: People in wheelchairs will not have any issues moving around at this restaurant.
My wife and I come here for mussels and oysters. They are the best place in town to get them!

Came here with a group of 7 during happy hour to hopefully dig into their oyster special. Unfortunately when we arrived we were told only a max of 6 oysters per person. A handful ordered oysters and then halfway through the service the rest who hadn t used their allocation tried to, but were told they were no longer serving oysters. Disappointing as I had flown out to BC for a food vacation and was really looking forward to having some delicious seafood. Hopefully next time patrons can get more than 6 oysters per person! Clearly new owners, and they ve changed the menu. Overpriced oysters petite the waiter said, very small. Waiter could care less about the meal or our opinions. Worse, they ve watered down the chowder and it almost tastes like there s vinegar in it! Sad for what used to be a great place.
** Portions were very little for a meal and appetizer. Especially the prawn fritters, On the other hand, for our main the fries were very burnt tasted worst then McDonald s fries. Overall taste was not good and restaurant was very warm. Not a great experience and place to stop for.
Wonderful experience! Food was delightful (Steak was delicious and so was the Halibut!) and customer service was excellent! Glad we spent our evening on their patio enjoying our dinner.

Oysters were good enough. We spoke to server about wifes celiac and cleared that we couldnt have anything from the fryer. Ordered mussels and they came out with fried potato sticks on top, had to send back. Probably a dozen mussels with meat the size of my thumb nail. Sauce was great but just not worth $27. Then still got up-charged for a side of gluten free toast after having to send the first mussels back, lol.
stayed at the hotel and stopped by for afternoon snack for some oysters. wasnt really much of a oyster deal happy hour but food was great, service could hv been better though.

The level of service and quality of food was hands down the best service my fiancé and I have received .possibly ever. Friendly and welcoming gentleman greeted us warmly upon arrival. Rebecca (server) was very friendly, gave great recommendations on food and drink choices, and cleared our dishes promptly. Very enjoyable dinner, and an added bonus of a great desert to top off the evening. Thank you, your desire to accommodate and provide a warm welcoming environment did not go unnoticed.

Just had dinner here, and it was amazing. Food tasted great, fair pricing considering we went during happy hour, and great service- friendly staff. We ordered the calamari, steamer pot, seafood linguine, Brussel sprouts, and a kids meal. All this really only cost around $100. They were also very accommodating with our baby stroller.
Tried their Market Salad. Wasnt bad but not great either. Berries and candied pecans were good however the taste was a bit mismatch, everything didnt go well together. Issue with the dressing or the ingredients, not sure.Things didnt blend well. Will try this place again and see.

Excellent food, ambiance, and service!Steamers pot with wine/garlic sauce was amazing as well as the other dishes we ordered such as calamari. All dishes were fresh, delicious, and well prepared. The manager is extremely attentive and customer service is outstanding.
We got mussels with garlic sauce, kalamari, and prawns. They were perfect . They had huge portions for such a low price & everything was clean. Parking: You have to ask the owner of the restaurant before you park.

Went there for happy hour. Tried most of the dishes on the happy hour menu, and all were very good. The beers on tap were varied and cold. Service was great. Free parking for guests of the hotel and restaurant. As it wasnt during the tourist season, there was lots of space, and it wasnt noisy, so we were able to carry on a conversation across the table. Would be the perfect place for a special date night.

We went on a quiet winter night and it was a perfect spot for some drinks and dinner. They had lots of options, our food was delicious, service was great. The atmosphere is comfortable and beautiful. We sat at a window while snow trickled down, ate a beautiful dinner and drank wine. What could be better. We really enjoyed our night out. Thank-you Parking: You have to go in and get a parking pass, its unclear where you can park if your not staying at the hotel.

We had our corporate Christmas party with 16 people at West Coast Grill & Oyster Bar on Saturday. Many of us had never dined there before, the experience was well received. Our server and support staff/management were very welcoming and attentive. The service was prompt , our meals were timed out well for delivery, and all dishes were impressive. Steaks and seafood were cooked properly- not over or undercooked. A few dishes were noted as a bit salty, but all-in-all everyone really enjoyed their meals. The atmosphere is bright, hopping but not overly loud. The price point is formal dining rates but the quality matched what your paying for. For a special night out this is a great place to celebrate an occasion.
