We ordered dinner take out. We chose the bento box teriyaki beef, teriyaki chicken with egg noodles, tempura vegetables and sushi. All the hot food was fresh and delicious. Well definitely order again. The sushi was very tasty, but a bit smaller than other local Japanese restaurants. All in all though, pleased with service and food.

Best sushi in west Kelowna, and Kelowna. If you re not too far from driving over the bridge it s absolutely worth it. Been coming here for a couple years and will come for many more!

Had take away from West Sakura today! The sushi was some of the freshest and tastiest I ve had in West Kelowna and the veggie tempura was light, fresh and delicious. The Superman roll was the absolute best roll ever. Service at pick-up was fast and friendly. Thank you!

They happily helped me choose some very tasty options because I don t really know anything about sushi and seafood yet, their waitress was very talkative and happy to help! Along side with very professional chefs. I d give this place a high recommendation, a comfy little family owned restaurant, all in all a great dine in or take out restaurant.

Very disappointed, ordered party tray 3 hours early for new years dinner and it wasnt ready when I went to pick it up. Rolls had too much rice and very little filling. Loosely rolled and falling apart, looked like I made them. Not sure what happened, this use to be good place to get party trays. Expensive as well, compared to other great sushi places.

I hate leaving bad reviews but My mom and I ordered through Ninja Now the other night as we wanted to try cause we had never ordered from here. It will be the last time we order from here again. We BOTH woke up in the middle of the night with extreme stomach aches, something was definitely off with whatever we ordered. Even the outside of our stomachs were bloated and tender the next day. If something isn t fresh, please don t risk it and serve it to people anyway

Weekly orders of Ogopogo and Superwoman rolls are always excellent. Such good flavour and loaded with lots of salmon and scallops. I ve tried lots of sushi places but this is my favourite. Looking forward to tonight s meal!

West Sakura rivals any sushi Ive had in some of the best restaurants in North America. Ive eaten here for almost a decade, and its always consistent and perfect. Customer service is top notch!! Well done.

Stopped by for a quick lunch on our way to Vancouver only to be completely WOWed! The bento boxes were absolutely delicious! Sushi were so yummy and fresh! Even the our picky kids noted that the food was really good! The staff were so friendly and the restaurant is very clean! We ll definitely be stopping by again next time we are driving through West Kelowna! Thank you!

I think of myself as a good judge of sushi as I ve had it A LOT from many different cities. I will give a shout out to Mr. Sushi and sister downtown store, Sushi Yori in Prince George. Some of the best I ve ever had and it s in my neighbourhood! I m here on business and wanted to try some local sushi. Anyway, I almost feel bad writing this review as the young blonde server was very friendly as was the older Chinese gentleman (owner?). Super friendly! However .The food was not good. We paid $112 for 3 chicken bento dinners an order of caterpillar rolls and an order of Philadelphia rolls. We upgraded the miso soup for wonton and also got 3 sunomono salad. Chicken was rubbery. Caterpillar rolls were good. Just good. Philadelphia rolls were the worst I ve ever had. Soooo dry and bland. The California rolls were bland and tasteless as well. Tasted like warm rice. The salad with bentos is usually a home made or maybe even store bought peanut type sauce. This salad had like a Western family sweet onion dressing. Weird. Wontons were blah. Should ve just had miso soup. The tempura was really done well and tasted good except they never gave us any sauces for it. Lame! The sunomono salad had hardly any noodles in it. The least I ve ever seen. Also lame. They gave us no cutlery or even chopsticks or napkins. Good thing we weren t going out for a picnic or something and not home to eat. I forgot to take pics. Damn .sorry. I would not recommend this place to anyone who knows sushi. To those who don t know better, it s probably not so bad. I won t go back. That is all.

I work at a hair salon in the same plaza as Sakura and I frequently order their bento boxes as well as the crispy gyozas! Consistently delicious and top notch service. My favorite restaurant!

Love, LOVE their sushi. Oh my goodness is fantastic. I ordered the volcano roll. Its a meal all on its own! And I had the Ogopogo roll. Both are fantastic and tasted great the next day too. The service was great as well. Highly recommend!

I used to come to this sushi restaurant on occasion when I was in university in 2015. The sushi was always great. My partner and I travel to Kelowna quite frequently now from our home in Vancouver, and every time I rave to him that this is the best sushi in Kelowna. The timing never worked out in the past, but this past long weekend we finally made it! We had the Volcano, Sakura, and Ogopogo roll. All the rolls were fantastic and my partner felt like the restaurant was well worth my hype. We have been to many well known sushi restaurants in Vancouver (which we love) and this place is right on par in terms of flavour, and presentation and exceeds in terms of service. So happy to see the quality after so many years is still there! Hope to return again soon :)

Great food and customer service, its a bit pricey

Hands down the worst gyoza and nigiri Ive ever had. The gyoza were tiny and extremely overcooked and had no flavor. The salmon nigiri were not fresh at all and couldnt even be picked up without the rice balls crumbling apart completely. I went here instead of my usual place because I had a gift card. I dont know if its because I got take-out or what but Im baffled on how bad my food was considering the other reviews here.

Decent sushi but extremely overpriced for what you get. Prices should be 50% less. The Yakoyaki was delicious though, definitely best part of the meal. Restaurant was very loud and kind of awkward feeling.

We were very disappointed in the quality of our lunch boxes ordered Friday Mar 12 PM . Beef with egg noodles was so-so but the tempura was undercooked and inedible. A waste of good veggies and prawns. California rolls were also not tasty. Will not be back. There are much better sushi restaurants in the valley.

Definitely not your average run of the mill sushi joint. It s definitely one of the best in the Okanagan, hands down (and I was born and raised here). Their menu is diverse and their rolls are amazing. The staff is lovely - you really feel like family when you come here.

Horrible the tempura was undercooked it was like eating straight raw shrimp and dough, the salmon was bitter and gross, and overall just bad food.

Great Sushi!

Quite possibly some of the best sushi I have eaten in Canada, i had the superman roll, chicken karaage and the heart attack roll. Food tasted incredibly fresh the batter on the Karaage was very light and crispy, the sushi rolls were a bit more expensive than more sushi places but definitely worth the money. To top it off the service was amazing, really friendly staff that were all happy walking around with smiles on their faces and attentive to you with out being in your face which made it a great environment 10/10 would recommend

Sushi is quite good but the price is slightly expensive. Tempera is not good because It is tasteless and has a thick bread coating.

Best sushi place in West Kelowna

Smaller, unassuming place in an industrial strip mall. Surprisingly good food. Clean with polite staff. We sat down and had 2 Bento boxes for a late lunch. We will be back.

Sushi was quite good and fish was fresh. Slightly more rice and fillers than fish. The party tray was filled with non-fish rolls (yes I should have read the description more closely). Special rolls were big and filling but not the high quality I have come to expect from BC. Still very tasty and would go back.

What a hidden gem! Cute place right off the highway in West Kelowna that is full of big flavours! Prices are a little higher than other places but it is completely elevated and worth it!! Highly recommend!

I honestly dont know what the rave is all about. First off our server was great, he was a blonde young man with yellow nail polish and his customer service was excellent. (Would hire him if I had a resto) Food was meh. Coming from Vancouver, it tastes like budget sushi that you can get from food court. The presentation looks good, but taste wise... Mehh.. overpriced but doesnt deliver. Im sorry but seared toro, isnt the same as blended cat food on top of sushi. Please tell your chef to cook your dam tempuras properly. Get a timer and set it at the right temperature. Some of our tempura were cooked others were raw. Are you guys even using the proper rice for sushi? Would not be back.

A small family run Japanese restaurant along Highway 97, in West Kelowna. The welcoming staff are friendly and courteous, and the food is decent. They offer a fairly large menu with some creative sushi designs.

First time ordering here the food is as incredible as the customer service. Will eat here again for sure.

By far the best quality sushi Ive tried so far living in Kelowna, going on 6 years now. It may seem a little pricey at first but its WORTH IT. You get large portions and everything tastes so fresh, lovely staff too. My favorites are the volcano roll, samurai roll, and the scallops! Definitely all a must try from here. P.S. they are on Ninjanow delivery app if you want heaven delivered too you ;)

The rolls were awesome. Their sashimi was amazing and very fresh. The downside was that it was very expensive. Not sure if it balanced out as there are other places cheaper with the same quality.

Fresh and delicious! We tried the war wonton soup, mixed tempura, deluxe dynamite roll and beef teriyaki roll. Everything was excellent we will be back!

My favourite sushi place in Kelowna area. Staff are so friendly and you can tell this by the amount of locals that go there and how they make everyone feel welcomed. Their food is fresh and flavourful! I really enjoy the sakura roll as well as the super crunch roll. The gyozas are also AMAZING. I love steamed gyozas over other restaurants deep frying them! Ordered some sushi rolls a while back. The cook/chef was chatting with the waitresses, not focused at the task at hand. The rolls were 80% rice, were served at room temperature, and something tasted off about them. I also wasnt a fan of the chefs attitude towards my friend and I. I think he mistook us for high school students and thought he could take advantage of our naivety.

Sloppy made sushi. Edible but I wouldnt say its good. They put mayo in their tuna maki which is strange. All tasted like white washed sushi. Would not come back.

Delicious! Well laid out menu! Kid friendly! First timer... I came here for a quick after work dinner with the kids. The staff was very welcoming; our waitress made impromptu learner chopsticks for my 4yr old. Creative and playful menu with plenty of labelled pictures for the kids to decide. Did I mention it was delicious?! We had Tempura Veg to start, kids chicken on noodles, Superman roll, Spider roll and Ogopogo Roll. Mine and my daughters favorite was the Superman roll

Ive come here a few times on business trips up and always hit the spot. The sushi rolls are original and taste good. Prices are not bad if your sharing with others. Can be a nice sit down meal or a quick one if your passing through Westbank. Service is always great.
