Momo Sushi Downtown in Kelowna

Definitely one of the best sushi spots in the world, I m not even kidding. Always incredibly fresh, the sushi chefs are very experienced and can create rolls in a flash, AMAZING quality and food safe practices (something I am very picky about and am thoroughly impressed by their level of care). Restaurant is always very clean, staff is always very friendly, I ve even seen them deal with difficult situations/customers with such grace and professionalism. These guys really are top tier, HIGHLY recommend.

I happened to stop by downtown for a late lunch on my way to Banff via Kelowna. I stopped by without knowing that the owner was Korean. After ordering... I was so happy to hear the sound of Korean in the kitchen!! Salmon sushi, rainbow roll, tempura udon Its good value for money and tastes good. I found this restaurant by chance without being able to search, and it was awesome!! Since we said we came from Korea to meet a friend in Vancouver, they even gave us a bonus crispy roll. The mood of my companions improved~~ A tiring trip to Rocky for 4 days and 3 nights with unexpected service was just like the rainbow rolls we ate. More rainbow colors~~ Boss~ Thank you. This is a restaurant I want to visit again the next time I come to this city!! Kid-friendliness: My friends daughter, who likes sushi, also liked it.

The Kelowna Rockets Roll was superb. I appreciated the casual atmosphere. The prices are very fair for this quality of food, and the service was friendly and quick.

Went for lunch with a party of 5 today. We were first timers to Momo, but it wont be our last visit. Wonderful food! The tempura was phenomenal and the Nigiri and Maki were also excellent. The miso soup was quite good too. Simple, but delicious and flavourful. Our server was quick, and very friendly. I wish I got her name, but she said she used to work at the H2O pool if that helps give her credit. Five stars!

My wife and I are from Edmonton, Alberta and have had sushi at a bunch of places. Between my wife and me, this place has to be one of the best places weve eaten at together in our lives.

Best sushi spot in town. Reasonably priced, quick, fresh, always reliable AND tasty. I am always amazed by how quickly they have food ready. Last time I went I actually timed it, and from the time I ordered to the time the food was on our table, it was less than 3 minutes. If I could give 6 stars I would.

I love the food here, honestly economical, simple and tasty. My favourite is the mango flower and spicy veggie. Staff can be a bit nicer Vegetarian options: Love the veg options

I would say the downtown location of Momo sushi is the best in Kelowna! The food is always spot on, the tuna Taki is unbelievable I do feel like sometimes the service is a little bit slow and just a little heads up ask for plates, side plates, and extra napkins before they walk away Otherwise amazing place and I will continue to go there for my sushi fix

This was THE QUICKEST Ive ever gotten food oh my god it was quicker than fast food!! And so good! Great prices and friendly servers too. 10/10 would go again I ordered the deep fried cali roll and it was great. Great hot miso soup Food

The service was great! The servers were all very friendly and attentive. The sushi was alright - nothing to swoon over but certainly scratched the itch. My main issue was everything was falling apart before you even added soya sauce. There were quite a few gluten free options, however they aren t labelled which adds a bit of confusion and frustration.

Food is fine, nothing to write home about. Service was decent but again not noteworthy. My one real complaint sashimi donburri this is a pretty simple dish rice and sashimi you know what doesn t go well with it? SALAD!! Either state this comes with a head of lettuce or better yet .leave it out!

I would highly recommend to try them out if you love sushi! Their rolls are tasty, the sashimi melts in your mouth and the gomae is the best one I have ever had and is always on point.

I recently ate here with my teenage son. Hes a big eater and we still had food left over. The staff were friendly, attentive, and we lacked nothing. However, we were given one set of chopsticks for my son who is half-Asian and a fork for me. Just offer everyone chopsticks next time, please. The food was great and I would come back here again. Parking: We parked at Kelowna Lake Park and walked over 10 minutes. Most of the streets in the downtown core are closed to traffic.

Fast, clear, but not very tasty.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was quick and delicious, an all around great first experience.

I recently visited Mono Sushi and had a disappointing experience due to poor service from the server. The server was inattentive and seemed uninterested in our needs. We had to repeatedly ask for basic things like water refills and napkins. When our food finally arrived, some of the orders were incorrect, and the server was unapologetic and dismissive when we pointed it out. This level of service really detracted from our dining experience. I hope the management addresses this issue to ensure better service in the future.

Living downtown Kelowna, weve been looking for a new sushi place since moving from Rutland and Momo never disappoints! Friendly staff, Quality food, Friendly service and good prices. 10/10 would recommend

We popped in for a bite to eat and, after a short wait (because it s very busy over lunch!) we were seated and a couple cold waters brought to us. We ordered a couple miso soups, Sashimi box 6, an Ogopogo roll and 8 piece tuna/salmon sashimi and some green tea. The meals came very quickly and looked fantastic - and the taste does not disappoint! Delicious all round - the tuna and salmon pieces are thick and tender and the Ogopogo roll may be my personal favourite when we visit again. We will definitely be back!

Amazing service from Tae, we had an appetizer and a party tray and it came within 5 minutes!! Delicious and everyone is so friendly. Will be a regular spot.

I have been going to Momo since about 2011 and I figured it is about time I write a review because I have really strong feelings for this place. My review applies to both the downtown and the mission location, however I do have a soft spot for when Peter is around at the mission location and comes to check on / greet all the tables. There is no sushi like Momo sushi. You will not find better quality for the price. Momo is absolutely unmatched. I have tried locations near and far for a comparable experience and have not found anything that compares. When I moved to Ontario, I would dream about Momo. I would wake up thinking I had plans to go to Momo and realize I was in the wrong province. It got to the point where I couldn t focus on certain daily tasks because I was thinking about sushi, specifically Momo. I love this place. I still dream about Momo often. I love the sushi. I cannot say enough good things about it! I love you Momo

Tried their unagi donburi and minus the eel being a bit boney it was delicious! Wish it was a bit brighter inside light wise but its cozy.

Never having been in Kelowna before I was delighted I could just walk across the street from my hotel on the cold winter night for a wonderful meal. MOMO reminded me of the numerous little side street restaurants we used to eat in while in Japan. I left it to my excellent server to bring me sushi & tempura shrimp...and they did, after a delectable and warming bowl of Miso soup. Lovely HUGE portions of tempura shrimp and assorted sushi washed down with sake and an ASAHI. Could not finish so it was lunch the next day as well. Thanks to the staff and chefs at MOMO for making this a memorable visit.

Called to ask if they serve oyakodon. An extremely popular and simple japanese dish. Not a single staff member even knew what it was. Pretty disheartening that they dont know this dish that almost every single person living in japan has had likely hundreds of times. Anyways, the rest of the food is very mediocre. If you enjoy eating here, you dont actually like good sushi or japanese food.

I m pretty disappointed actually! I ve been to momo a few times and thought it was half decent, not amazing but still pretty good. So tonight I decided to order 3 rolls and a miso soup for delivery through skip the dishes. The order arrived very quickly (I don t live too far) and the driver was great. The soup was tasty but a lot of soup mix at the bottom, even after I stirred it. The rolls is where I was disappointed. I ordered California, Spicy Tuna and Dynamite rolls. They completely fell apart when I tried to pick them up, even with my hands. Then when I bit into them they were just mushy. I can confidently say I won t be ordering from them again.

Busy little place on New Year s Day. So accomodating, pleasant and so quick even though the restaurant was full. I ordered the udon soup and it was HOT, delicious fresh ingredients and had enough for food later on. Love finding a lovely sushi place with high quality service and food. Great place, though portion size could be bigger

First of all, Sushi is always tasty like here as well. I was there for lunch. Compared to other sushi stores it could be improved getting tea instead of water or free to drink.

This is by far the worst sushi I have ever had. I mean who in their right mind puts teriyaki sauce on a dynamite roll. I spit out the sushi pretty much the first bite as it had crab to the quality of gas station sushi. Don t ever order from this place!!! If I could give it zero stars, I would.

The worst beef teriyaki ever! There was maybe two bites of beef and thats it. The rest was a slop of sauce on onions and cabbage. I will never order from here again. Total rip off. If I could give 0 stars I could.

Staff is very friendly food comes fast and when I say fast I mean like 2 mins. Every roll they make is like the best sushi ever and just great music they play in the restaurant also in a pretty main place (its on Bernard) I wouldnt say its super cheap but like 20$ 40$ and that is not per person.

Rolls are ok . avoid the teriyaki chicken. they don t grill the chicken with the teriyaki sauce. they just simply deep fry the chicken and pour teriyaki sauce over it. it was greasy and frankly disgusting! Either they don t know what a teriyaki chicken is, or the cook is just simply lazy. Will not return.

I struggle a bit on what rating to give. I would say 3.5 but it doesn t allow for half stars. 3 might be too harsh, so I will put 4 stars. It was by far the worst yakisoba I have had and I have had a lot. I will explain....we ordered from Uber eats, unfortunately, our driver had another delivery and stayed at that location for almost half an hour. Although, our food was still warm when we got it, the warm things were a bit soggy(which I can deal with), but the raw fish was all warm. So it would have been better if they separated warm and cold. We had salmon and tuna maki, both were normal nothing special, nothing wrong and a good price. Also a yam tempura roll, again nothing special and perfectly fine. Price was the same as other sushi places. The donburi was a very small amount, maybe half the bowl full. At first I thought it had a decent amount of meat until I actually looked at it and found that most of it were mushrooms, which my daughter doesnt eat and she took them all out. But it was also cheaper then other places, so maybe it evens out. It was a bit of a disappointment. I never tasted it, but my daughter said it was decent, this was her first time eating donburi so I wouldnt count on her taste buds. So it was cheaper, not much beef, but tasted decent for her. Now I am picky, I usually only get yakisoba from sushi places, it is my go to meal. This was my first time eating at Momo. The amount you get for the price was fine. The price was lower than others, but also you didnt get a full container full. First thing I noticed was the noodles were more like udon from my perspective. They were a thicker noodles and maybe that helped with it not being so soggy from the drive. However, I dont prefer thicker noodles. There wasnt a good amount of beef just the like the donburi, but I think that keeps their price lower. If the price was higher I would not have been okay with the amount of beef. They had a decent amount of veggies, including broccoli, onions, a few peppers etc...the problem was solely with the flavor. Or lack of it, there really was no taste and part of the noodles had nothing on them. For people who dont like a lot of flavor, you would love this. It had no normal yakisoba flavor, I was confused and thought they may have sent the wrong dish. I did not enjoy it at all. I ended up having to try flavor it myself with what I had at home. It did make it better, however, I still didnt enjoy it. I also did not like that on their Uber eats page you cannot add comments or changes. When I called after placing the order, they were still willing to make the accommodations I asked for, so that did work out. The accommodations I asked for were, teriyaki sauce on the side for my yam roll and no Wasabi or ginger. As for the teriyaki sauce, it was not great for my taste. It also had very little flavor as well as not very sweet. Overall it tasted bland. Some people may like that. The prices are decent, the portions represent the price. We may go back there, but it would be hard for me as I would not be willing to get the Yakisoba again. I would recommend sticking to rolls. Hope this is helpful.

Best sushi in town. I remember a time when kelowna didnt have acceptable sushi at all. This is a welcome addition to town. Compares to the Lowermain land. Which is pretty high praise!

Not sure why this location is highly rated it is THE WORST most poor quality sushi in dtown Kelowna. The Momo in West Kelowna though is awesome, fresh beautiful sushi and great service. Don t go to this Momo Sushi there are better, more importantly, fresher sushi out here. Do not recommend.

In our stay in Kelowna we went twice to this place. Service is great, fast and food is really good! I highly recommend it and if I am back to Kelowna, I would go back for sure!

Ordered three rolls through skip the dishes with two sets of chopsticks and it came with zero chopsticks/utensils. After contacting Momo Sushi to explain situation, I was redirected to skip the dishes.. like it was their fault or something. Actually its the restaurants responsibility to prepare the order and its pretty lame having to eat this with my fingers. Definitely wont be making any orders from here again.

We stopped for a late lunch and choose the outdoor seating. It was the perfect time of day to sit outside and enjoy good food. Our server was friendly, shared about some of the options on the menu, and it was not a long wait for our meal. With Bernard closed off right now for summer, this restaurant was the perfect spot to sit and eat in the shade :)

Unagi was very fishy in the bad way. It was the first time Ive ever not eaten my unagi. Its my favourite. The crab rice was also very fishy. I think it was the sauce.

What wasnt very nice was hearing all of the staff making fun of one of their coworkers through the window as we were preparing to leave. Perhaps its best to have those conversations in private or with management instead of with a restaurant full of guests. There are better ways to build up your team on a hard day.

Ive had better sushi at costco , this place has Very average sushi and is highly Overrated and only half decent because of its location , the pricing is not enticing. Its a great place to bring family and friends but not a impressive location for first dates or anything more formal and serious.

Excellent sushi and great service. Coming from Vancouver where theres a sushi restaurant on every corner, this place stands out in comparison, both in quality and in subtle artistic touches. The Philadelphia and prawn tempura rolls were my favourite. I do wish they included tea, though, like most places in Vancouver.

I have come here for a long time, used to definitely be the best in town. it still has its nights, tonight was defimitely one of them, salmon was really good as well as miso. however, I dont understand why sunomono is so consistently bad. tonight it was the worst i have had and i dont believe there was any vinegar just lemony water. Still I will come here and I pray sunomono gets better, it is my favorite.

First time here and came for its high 4.4 star by google. I m kinda disappointed the food they served, which I will attach in a min. I ordered a beef teriyaki and an udon. The only good things worth mention were its serving speed and the sauce of the food. The teriyaki was full of vegetables and not so much of beef. The udon actually came with an aged broccoli as you can tell the different color on each end. Overall, the experience was not that great.

36 pcs of for $100? taste was mediocre. Service too was meh, she took our order, 10min later placed it on our table and did not explain and let us know what was on the platter. Restaurant was not even busy at all. Do not. be fooled by reviews

Honestly bumping it up to 2 for the miso soup and prawn tempura being unreal but the sockeye salmon nigiri not so much. Was there last night for dinner and 20 minutes later I had to pull the ebrake and destroy a toilet. Its been almost 24 hours and Im calling priests and apologizing to my co workers. Dont know what happened but momo did me dirty on that one.

Our family ordered from momo sushi a couple wells ago. They sure did such an amazing job on every dish that we ordered. We ordered so much food and our son ate most of it. They are so quick in preparation execution and quality. I highly recommend eating in house but if you have to order take out they continue to deliver amazing quality. We will continue to order from them. Hands down the best place so far in Kelowna.

Definitely the best Japanese place Ive found in town. The food is delicious (especially love the yaki udon), and the servings are huge, especially for the price! I always have leftovers. Atmosphere is lovely, too!

Not impressive but quality sashimi

This was a quick meal but just as good as I hoped. Two bento boxes later and a small patio really made for a great experience. At the time the road was closed and only available to pedestrians which would make parking a little more difficult. Apparently this only happens during the summer months as the street opened shortly after September long weekend. Wheelchair accessibility: All one level, from patio to bathroom.

I love this place. MOMO Sushi is the best sushi in town. Everything is fresh, fast, tasty and beautifully presented. I ve never had a bad experience with dining in or their take away, and I ve been eating here for over 10 years.

Our weekend getaway took us to downtown Kelowna. We found a dog friendly patio. Momo served yummy bento boxes. I had to share my sashimi with Etch. Overall excellent tempura and sushi. The hot sake warmed me up on this fall day. Highly recommend Momo Sushi!

My Husband and I frequent Momos. I find the food the staff amazing Ashmond is a wonderful young woman and so friendly as are the Sushi chefs. NO complaints here. LOVE IT.

This has happened twice I paid with cash and they ripped me off twice 2 check your bill and watch your cash. I hate to say it but I went back just to give them another chance and this time they shorted me on the rainbow roll And they tried to pass off soy sauce as tempora sauce

Momos quality dipped for a while, but they seem to have come back and are definitely a reliable sushi spot! Very fast service! Inside seating can be a bit cramped, but overall will return!

Amazing sushimi. Portions are a good size. Tempura was overcooked Staff is friendly and service is good. Highly recommend.

Freshest sushi! Service could be improved just a bit, but understand that a lot of businesses are understaffed. Fromt entrance could be tidied.

Momos never disappoints me. As a nutritionist I happily eat here whenever im in Kelowna & a sushi craving hits. The nigiri is fresh and they are always fast too. I would compare it with sushi on the west coast. Reliable and delicious.

Dirty dirty dirty , the floors are filthy. Old boxes stacked everywhere by the kitchen. Plexiglass dividers smudged. Skip the dishes drivers endlessly coming in an freezing what little patrons there were. It was like eating in a garage. Used to have such warm ambience, now its a dive...sushi was ok but the roles were sliced so uneven, one piece 1 1/2 inches another 1/ 2 inch..dont bother.

I just ordered a chicken teriyaki through skip from them. The miso soup was disappointing but worse was pulling a hair from my teriyaki. Its a blonde hair and no one in my house has blonde hair. Ruined my meal
