Perfect food, perfect service!

I love everything about this place so much, I feel like my stomach went to the spa. I DJ d in Kelowna on the weekend and ate dinner here 2 nights in a row, I immediately felt uplifted and positive, and it stayed with me. the staff is so genuinely friendly and helpful. Go with friends and share an appetizer, a soup, and a couple mains. This place is special.

Amazing hidden gem in Kelowna downtown , stumbled upon this place during my stay in Kelowna for the long weekend, the owner is so sweet and respectful welcomed not only us but every customer who walked into the restaurant , we ordered Gai Ho , Gang Mus-sa-mun and pad Thai .The food was so flavorful and the service was excellent!!!! Must try when you are in Kelowna.

Such an amazing service from Kitti. We were visiting Kelowna and didnt know what to order for take out. Kitti was so kind, help us chose from their awesome menu. While we were waiting for our order, he brought us water, and snack party mix. We even got a special message on our take out bag order. So sweet. The pad sew and the chicken dumplings did meet our expectations. Thank you, we greatly appreciated our experience :)

Decent Thai food. High prices. Fresh rolls come with very little peanut sauce and when we asked for more they said itd be a charge of $1.50. Curries are kind of watered down in flavour. Pricey meals, no rice included with curries. Little flies in the space giving me an uncleanly vibe. Every waiter that works there checks on you which is really weird in my opinion not having the same waiter the whole time.

Authentic Thai dishes with friendly owners. Portions are a bit smaller compared to other Thai restaurants I ve been to, but the taste was excellent.

Food is excellent but the portion sizes have shrunk drastically and the home made hot sauce is now rationed out in small cups for an extra charge. Very disappointing.

Owner, Staff and service is good. However, taste of food disappointed. I am surprised that they did not ask for spice level. Pad Thai was sweet, I am sure they must have massed up my order as the noodles were thin. Their Kale pad is simple sticky rice with some soya sauce, it was not fried at all. Thai Satay is good. This is the only food I liked. They charge $1.5 for small container of sauce, they should ask for spice level and level it up to the expectations. Charging $1.5 extra for small container of hot sauce is unfair. To make your dish medium spicy you need 3 containers of hot sauce that s $4.5 extra for each dish.

Great, especially for the center of downtown. Have eaten a lot of thai food in Vancouver, and it lived up to some other suburban thai places. Ordered pad thai (order B, traditional style with tamarind instead of ketchup) and green curry (chicken) with coconut rice. Awesome service, older gentleman who served us was super friendly :)

Beat Thai authentic restaurant, spacious in the middle of downtown with great food choices and service was quick. Shoutout to the owner who described mostly all the dishes.

The restaurant was great had a very chill atmosphere. The staff was great and accomadating especially for my toddler child, they treated him like family, gave him a toy to play with, a treat at the end and insisted they clean up after the mess he left. They gave us good recommendations and the food was delicious and authentic. Our waters were full and food came fast and hot. We had pad Thais and curry and the sticky rice for dessert. If you want good Thai food come here. Will come here again!

Weve been coming to Bai Tong for a few years now, every time we come to Kelowna. Never disappoints. The food is super consistent and delicious. And, best of all, wonderful service.

Happened upon this wonderful restaurant and we were able to be seated outside where we definitely felt the vibe of Bernard. The staff were very attentive,they had a good selection dishes. The food was very good. I would recommend this place.

Delicious authentic Thai food, highly recommend. The owner is incredibly genuine about his customer experience, he s come out to talk to his customers at each table every time I ve been there. The dry chili powder they have is super spicy and excellent, love that they have both styles of pad Thai.

We came here at the end of a bachelorette trip. The waitress, Helena, was extremely kind and accomodating to our groups multiple food intolerances (celiac, vegetarian, etc) even though she was clearly very busy! She really went above and beyond to make sure we had positive experience. The food itself was amazing; the bride even said she thinks its the best pad thai shes ever had! The owner came out to greet our table at the end, too. Could not recommend this place more!

Ordered via Skip the Dishes. Portions were small and with only a few thin pieces of chicken. Couldn t imagine paying more for seafood or beef and getting what we got. Pretty expensive for what you get ($20+ per dish). The flavours though are delicious. Probably won t order again but glad I tried it.

The ambient of the restaurant is very welcoming and comfortable. The restaurant is clean and bright. The service is top notch. Very tasty!! We got the two specials on the menu, both customer favourites and I can see why! Curry was also good however could use more spice. Shared two sides of coconut rice with 3 people. We found it really strange that you have to separately order rice, I wish it was included in the price. That being said the portion sizes are small so that s why I took one star off. Order 1 rice per person and then the portion size is a bit more practical. 3 people, 3 meals, $62 plus tip.

The Pad Thai is the best, even compared to some local famous Thai Restaurants in Vancouver, this one tastes the best! The owner is very nice and caring, which is why he has this business for so many years, would go back again if I go to Kelowna again!

Wow! What an incredible dining experience! Baitong is litterally setting the bar for customer service. This is hands down, the most friendly and accommodating restaurant Ive ever been to. I have many dietary restrictions/ allergies that make it very difficult for me to dine out. I cant say enough about how wonderful the sfaff are. Its a Thai restaurant, the food was great! Beef or chicken fried rice was delicious along with Eggrolls, downtown Kelowna BC. It was a great place for us to stop for some good Ole fashioned Thai authentic Thai tasting cuisine and stay the night to visit an old friend... especially after being on the road for hours to get there.

Friendly people, clean restaurant, food was absolutely delicious. I will note though that the dishes do all seem to have a bit of sugar or some kind of sweetener, so I wouldnt recommend this to anyone with such dietary restrictions, but damn was it tasty.

I dont know where to start,I guess with the food. First of all the is tasteless every time the food arrived on our table it end up empty plate. Thats why we end up ordering more from the menu. Located next to the park in the city center, it is an authentic Thai restaurant. The food is exquisite and delicious. The boss is a real Thai and is very kind and polite. After eating, you will want to come again.

Service - server must have forgotten our appetizer order. Waited for a long time, we had to remind her. Then the appetizer was served the same time as the entrees, it defeats the whole purpose of ordering an appetizer. Food: Chicken satay was a bit dry. Pad thai was good. Pad Gra Paow with Vegetable/pork was over saucy and salty. Overall, a bit disappointing for what the rating indicates.

By far the best tasting Thai food weve ever had. The owner is always working hard and delivers amazing customer service. The restaurant has a nice ambiance with authentic pictures and decor. We regularly order the chicken satay starter and the lettuce wraps. We usually get veggie fried rice, chicken pad Thai and one or two curries (yellow/red) with some steamed rice. This is usually enough for multiple meals! The prices are very fair for the amount and quality of the food. If you want tasty authentic Thai food, look no further.

One of the most amazing place and most amazing people you will find. We just loved the food it was delicious. We have some confusion with the food item they made a mistake and we were having our food normally without even noticing that something was wrong with our order but the waitress she was such a humble and honest person she noticed that and helped us with everything she could and apologised alot even when it wasn t her mistake. Apart from all these the people are kind enough to attend you time to time for water or anything we need. Such an amazing place. Must visit if you are nearby they have super variety of vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian food. Enjoyyy !!!

TL;DR Prices are a bit high for quantity. Probably wouldn t come again. Friendly (family-owned?) staff & clean restaurant. The staff is happy to help with any questions on the menu and willing to accommodate. Food quality-wise was alright. I ve definitely had better Thai food but not the worst either. Stir-fry noodles a bit too wet, noodles were broken and short. Curry had very little meat of choice added in despite a hefty $ tag. Food price definitely doesn t match the quantity of food given. My boyfriend finished his meal in 5 minutes and was still hungry. I think it s silly that certain foods (ie. curry or a noodle less stir fry) don t have rice included in the price and you re expected to add a $2-3 to your meal that s already $20+ for it. Who eats a curry or stir fry without rice? Overall alright experience, heavy tourist tax doesn t make it worth coming back to.

Family run, I know the owner and family, that aside though, this is the most tasty, amazing Thai Food I ever had. Service is also second to none. Miss this place but come everytime I am back in town.

My parents loved it so much that they begged me to leave a nice review for the owner who put a lot of care into our night. He was super helpful with picking out dishes and how to eat them! He told us what would pair well with which dish (spicy sauce with the fried rice or curry vs. spicy powder with the pad thai) and gave great recommendations. The pad thai (option B) and the skewers were our favourites, but the fried rice from the summer special menu was a close second. Ended off with mango sticky rice which was also delicious!

Very unfriendly, I was by myself. Got my appetizer together with the main course. Even though I told them to wait! The owner pretends he is kind but is all about the money. Daughter does a better friendly job. Expensive and overrated. The basil chicken almost had no chicken and should not come with mushrooms! And the nampla had no sauce. I requested spicy 4, not spicy at all! Also forgot I was in and out in 40 minutes?! This is the second visit and I wanted to give them another chance. But all was the same bad experience! Food served at the same time, owner very impersonal and unfriendly and they do not care about 1 person at a table. Very disappointing. And at the end? Expert to pay card, cash was weird for waitress. I told her i wanted a moment, zie stood at the table. Gave her money and she asked how much tip. Are you for real? You will see once you give me the money back! In this case nothing... Not for this lousy service. I am a tourguide and will not take my guests here, do not recommend it and won t return. They have had their chances. Not worth your money.

Really great first experience. The place looks bright and clean, the server was personable and professional. The food was delicious! Dry rib appy was seasoned well and not super greasy. I had the yellow curry (35). It was well balanced and perfect with the coconut rice. I would definitely recommend it. And the Thai iced tea, that was really good too!

Amazing food and good portions. The owner was a jolly gentleman and had the best recommendations for us. Undoubtedly a highlight of my Kelowna trip.

We ordered pickup for my birthday with extended family. The dishes were incredibly delicious, the service was fast and the Bai Tang Family are gracious. Seafood, chicken, beef, tofu mouth watering! Thank you Thank you! Vegetarian options: Even the vegans in our group were thrilled!

Hands down the Best Thai food and the BEST service you can get at any restaurant in town. The food is delicious and they have several Vegan options. The staff at this restaurant are so knowledgeable and were so on top of everything. We had such an awesome experience and left very satisfied. Highly recommend this restaurant and will be back soon! Vegetarian options: Lots of Vegan/Vegetarian options. Just ask the server for advice on which options to choose from. Parking: Free Street parking on Sundays.

Nov 25th 2023 - Recently dined in and loved the new renovation/set up. Lovely decor and nice lighting. Not dark and gloomy like other places. Very comfy and spacious. The place looks classy and the owner is super friendly. Very accommodating. Food was great as usual and I feel the portioning has increased too, which is good. I highly recommend this place! Excellent food, good quality ingredients used and an authentic taste delivered! I ordered Green curry chicken, Coconut Milk Chicken Soup and Brown Rice. Happy to know that they have healthy options for rice. You could taste freshness in every bite. I love Thai food and have had it in places like Thailand and Malaysia and this 1 tasted no different, it was good and the owner was also very welcoming and friendly too. Do visit if you can! Update: Dined in - Apr 23, 2022 (Attached pics) Ordered Chicken Satay, Drunken Chicken, Brown Rice and Bangkok Coffee. Didnt like the satay but the chicken was good, slightly on the sweeter side but flavorful. Coffee was ok, nothing special. The glass was pretty small. Note: Restaurant is in renovation, only patio is open.

I love Bai Tongs Family so much. They have been through LIFE, their strengths have been tested again and again and each time they have gotten stronger. My family took over their old location over 10 years ago and we have known their family for quite some time. I just have to say they are some of the most kindest and wholesome people. I do not know all that you have endured but know that my heart aches for you and praying for you. Praying for good health and blessings to surround you and protect you. Love you guys very much! By the way, their food is so amazing and I love their Thai Iced Tea and coconut curry.

Not great food. Small portions large prices. Not great service parking is difficult. I dont think that I will be going back. Parking: Challenging to find close parking paid parking only.

Just the loveliest, most sincere customer service and the most amazing food. We loved the yellow and red curries with tofu. We will definitely come here again next time were in Kelowna.
