Naked Cafe in Kelowna

Its a cosy place, lots of sitting and friendly staff but i just came there for coffee and pastry. Coffee taste good but not much selection of pastry so we ended up getting a cake.

Service was great. The good was amazing. Wait staff were friendly and efficient. Atmosphere was relaxed, and unpretentious. Food : 5/5

My go to vegan spot in Kelowna. Bright and spacious. Child-friendly and relaxed with classic vegan fare. Vegetarian options: Lots! Kid-friendliness: VERY!

Beautiful new airy layout. Great for individuals or groups, and of course vegans looking for casual bowls, salads and burgers.

One of my favorite restaurants in Kelowna. They really go out of their way to serve everyone. The quality of the food here keeps getting better. Dietary restrictions: All vegan. Gluten free options too. Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly menu and there are movies and a tv.

The dishes are hit or miss - when they are good, they are stellar (the fried pickles!!), but when they are not good, they are quite average. My main criticism is that there is often way too much overloading the dishes (think too many microgreens or lettuce).

Had the Seitan Pesto Parmigiana Sandwich and it was amazing. The best part is they provide huge portion of protein in the food which is rare to find. Will definitely visit again and highly recommended.

Weve been a few times and the food is really quite impressive. Its really pricy, but Im not sure its overpriced for what it is and how good it is. The service is ok but we always get this feeling were not welcome with our kids. The space is nice for them, could be just the timing/servers moods that day. It happens. Great food though, worth checking out!

Its always an amazing experience going to NC. Service always very helpful and friendly, always have a smile to make the day brighter. The food is top delicious, not kidding. Ive tried every single item in the menu, you wont regret any option. This is a must go if you are in Kelowna. Used to love this place. Would come all the way from surrey just eat here. But recently, their customer service, food quality, everything has just gone down. The food doesn t taste the same anymore. I believe their chef changed and he just doesn t know how to make the food properly. Would eat out here at least 2-3 times a week. Tried to give them many chances but just not worth it anymore. Just a waste of money.

Only stopped in to grab coffee while staying in Kelowna for a week, but their coffee was so good. I ordered the vanilla latte and it came with coconut whip which was such a nice addition. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant and staff was very warm and inviting.

The food is great; I would always recommend the Pad Thai :) Heatwave warning: I picked up food to-go at Naked yesterday and it was literally hotter inside than outside; I wonder how the cooks and servers are expected to work in these conditions all day. Especially with the current temperatures, it would be great if Naked could make sure the members of their community and customers are safe throughout the heatwave :)

The group I was with didnt plan to go here, but was pleasantly surprised with the food and experience. No one rushed us to order and eat and get out, but it would have been good to have a few more checkins to see if we needed anything. A couple of us had the soup of the day which turned out great. We made a point of returning to Naked Cafe after last visiting five years ago. Renos are lovely and the server was friendly. There were a couple hiccups but overall still worthy of a visit. I ordered the soup (Thai Red Curry) based on servers positive recommendation and my love of Thai flavours and was served a very different kind (butternut squash). They offered to bring me a different side, but I didnt want the soup to go to waste. The biggest point of feedback for the kitchen is regarding the size of the seitan; its definitely possible to have too much of a good thing. I anticipated more organically shaped seitan pieces and instead the two of us received big blocks of seitan approximately two inches thick! Neither of us could fit our burgers in our mouths and we had to disassemble the sandwich to cut the patty in half and try to reassemble them. It was quite messy and really took away from the experience. Not a great impression for the omni family members we brought. As I said, its still worthy of visiting. Its really great to have a fully vegan menu to select from. Im hopeful that the feedback will help them provide an even better experience moving forward!

We had the Classic Burger with salad and a market poutine and it was so delicious! The service was also very nice. Points are deducted for the air conditioning. Even though it wasnt that hot outside, it was running at full speed and we were freezing, even though we were wearing a cardigan...

I ordered a salad without brown rice and extra lettuce and it was exactly what I was looking for that day. My kid had nuggets and ries and she couldnt even tell they were vegan. Everything was delicious and staff was friendly and helpful.

I had my very first takeout from naked cafe a few days back. The gia bonita bowl was so fresh. The portion was pretty big. Also had some hash browns which were a bit too oily but rest of it was very amazing. Will order more often from now.

Whenever I m in Kelowna I have to get some meals here. Always great food and the space is now larger - awesome. We may have come on an expected slower day so our service was lacking however I still won t hesitate to return on my next visit to the city.

Incredible service and staff. The owners make you feel very welcomed. The seitan is so good. Big portions with the bowls! So many things I love off the menu.

My go-to spot in kelowna. Perfect blend of whole foods and more indulgent comfort foods. Whether you re craving a boss salad or epic burger they have it all. Full coffee bar as well that doesn t up-charge for plant based milks or syrup. My favourites are the breakfast sandy, Buffalo chickpea Caesar with added Seitan and market poutine. Does not disappoint!!

A little pricey, but quite tasty! The burger was delicious.

As someone who loves vegan food, and who works only two blocks away, I really wanted to give this establishment a good review. Unfortunately I can t, as I felt neglected by the staff and disenchanted by the food. When I arrived at 3:00 pm, I ordered their 1944 burger, which the guy behind the counter said was hearty and one of his favourites. I ordered it with a side of fries which cost me over $21.00. He said he d bring the burger out shortly with water. After waiting 15 minutes for the water, I went up to the front to ask for it. I then waited another 15 minutes for the burger to come out, and eventually got up to inquire about the wait-time for the burger. I had to get up twice to solicit basic service. The same person who brought me my water, addressed my concern regarding the half hour wait for the burger. She seemed really nice and wanted to help. After another 5 minutes she came out with something that resembled an anemic McDonald s burger, and asked if there was anything else I needed. After seeing the burger, what I really needed was my time and my money back. However my reflexive politeness got in my way, and I thanked her for bringing it to me. In terms of the taste, the fries were those skinny McDonalds-type string fries. I left most of them on the plate. The burger was underwhelming for something that cost 20 bucks. It also didn t have the stack of sprouts or vegetables that are advertised in photos online. I wish I had taken a photo of it to share! This experience was really unfortunate. It robbed me of time, money, and enthusiasm for vegan food. I think I m going to save my money for groceries and make my own vegan food. I ll probably eat faster that way.

The food that I ordered through Uber Eats was really good. I had a small Kale Caesar and Pad Thai Noodles. The portion of Pad Thai was impressive. I have left overs. The only gripe that I have is that the meal was sent without cutlery. Luckily, I was able to get cutlery from the hotel. If you are ordering delivery, be sure to ask for cutlery. Great service and lots of fantastic food options. I think what I ordered was just not a hit for me. I had the avocado toast and a lavender latte. Neither blew me away. Ill try again one day, though!

I must first start off by saying this place is not very inclusive. An acquaintance of mine took me here to catch up. Well you could imagine my disappointment when I looked upon the menu and there were no non vegan options. As a place that promotes inclusivity I find this very counter intuitive. And if your response is it s a vegan restaurant every steak house I have been to has vegan options. If you say well we can t cross contaminate neither can steal houses but they make it work. I was appalled by my experience here.

My friends and I are not vegan but any time we get together this is our favourite place to go! If I could make food as good as the Naked Cafe I would be vegan in a heart beat, sadly I can t cook and have to eat what s served to me. The seitan pesto parmigiana is my go to but everything I ve tried is delicious. What s even better is that even though I m indulging I know it s healthy. This is a must try for everyone!

Atmosphere is a little cold unfortunately. Food is ok but the burger patties could be a bit more tasteful. I had upgraded to the market poutine but the size was disappointing...for additional $5.25 you have way less fries (than the fries that come automatically with the burger) and just a little salad on top of a tiny portion of poutine.

Two of us went in for brunch and had an incredible dining experience. If we could have rated the quality of food, service, comfortable and exceptionally clean environment, this restaurant would have had 5 stars on all three. Pride of ownership shines through and I so wish they had a location in Vancouver!

They are located in downtown and you can order from any food delivery apps like Uber Eats or Skip. Ordered their Pad Thai, Buffalo Sandwich and Fries. Sandwich was really good and spicy but Pad Thai lacked flavours. They were like 2 opposite dishes. Fries were good though. Also for sandwich, it says it comes with fries or micro greens but had no option to choose between them and I got fries. Basically I got a double batch, one I ordered and one came with the sandwich. I expected pad Thai to be flavourful as it is in general but it was pretty bland but definitely appreciate the concept of being a complete vegan restaurant. Liked their initiative. Will try some more from them and update!

The prices are reasonable for a vegan eatery. The atmosphere is great and the staff are always friendly. Update (Late Winter 2023): Ive reduced my rating by one star because the new menu doubled down on fillers. Potato and rice is in almost everything, the only complete nutritious entreé is the quinoa-based Green Flag bowl. Also, at peak hours the servers are often inattentive because they get continually distracted by personal conversations. The food quality remains high, but plating is random and order details are often lost once the server delegates to other staff.

Fantastic. We dined here for a Valentines dinner. We had the Chilli Seitan and Gia Bonita which we re both great but the real pièce de résistance is the coffee. It s insanely good.

What a lovely surprise, i walked in Naked caffe by accident and what a treat. The service was absolutely outstanding it it was like a breath of fresh air. the waitress was attentioned to details while being friendly but not intrusive. The veggy options are wonderful. The servings are more than enough. However, our orders came very late we lost our appetite already. We waited for 30-40 minutes for food that was not even that tasty I ordered Pad Thai and it was so dry. I waited long so I was expecting the noodles to be fresh but it seemed like it has been sitting on the plate for a while. Vegetarian options: All are vegetarian so you won t run out of options if you are a vegetarian. Kid-friendliness: They have kid s meals and activity sheet.

Delish! Comfie vegan restaurant that even carnivores would like. I had the Bennie Bowl: Eggy tofu, hash brown potatoes, asparagus, oyster mushroom bacon, dreamy hollandaise sauce. sprinkled with parsley and paprika. Soo yummie! Not pricey either. Will definitely be back! The Raspberry Margarita was delish too! Back again for my second and 3rd visits. There will be many more now that Ive moved here. Today I had the Pad Thai. Soo yummie and HUGE! Glad I brought my to-go container in from the car. The 1944 Burger was very good, but also very mustardy, so careful if you dont like spice! The fries are the best Ive ever had. Extra crispy and seasoned perfectly!

I just tried this amazing restaurant for the first time today and couldn t have been more impressed. I m working in Kelowna and forgot to pack a lunch so was so happy to have this option as I cannot eat dairy or eggs and do not eat meat. I have been craving a good fresh sandwich for a while and the blta with the alfalfa was so delicious and definitely fulfilled my craving. I enjoyed it with the kale Caesar and loved ever bite of that as well. So many more options in the menu I can t wait to try!!

I came here a few times during my visit to Kelowna and ugh I just fell in love with this place. Such a great environment and the staff are friendly and welcoming. I tried the Rise + Shine Hash which I thought was so tasty and flavourful. My non-vegan friend had the Buffalo Ranch Sandwich with fries and he didn t like the sandwich too much (I ended up eating it ) but he loved the fries, they were sooooo crunchy. We had the chocolate cake to-go and it took some time for it to come out but oh my gosh was it worth it wow, we both really enjoyed it. Another time I got to try their Tempeh Bacon Benny which was phenomenal! Really liked the mashed potatoes on the bottom I had their chicken nuggets and fries to-go which were amazing! I loved their seasoned fries and their chocolate cake again cause it was just so darn good!

The food and coffee is really good! 100% vegan with many options to choose from. There is also outdoor searing. This place should definitely be in every vegans back pocket for a place to eat in Kelowna. Vegetarian options: Everything on the menu is vegan. If you re from Van and looking for a meet on main kinda food quality, this ain t it. It s mostly just raw veggies drenched in dressing/sauce, so if that s your thing, this will be your vibe. Disclaimer: I m not vegan but I do frequently go to vegan restaurants/cafes in vancouver (not a big meat eater either though).

Best vegan food in town!

My ride was late for about an hour so i thought I go and find a place to hang out and perhaps get something to drink while i wait for my ride and I found Naked Cafe. A really nice server approached me and I asked if I could seat outside and order a glass of wine while waiting for my ride. She said they were about to close in 5 mins but would definitely get me a glass of red and let me seat outside. They even left the music on for me while they re doing their closing duties. Now that s a great serving skills. I didn t get to asked her name but Thank you. You were awesome and made my day. I ll definitely come back and perhaps try their food as well.

I came to this location without knowing it was Vegan got a little scared at the beginning when ordering but who would have known, this place has the BEST Pad Thai in BC (that i know off) coffee selection is also Deli! Its a must try if you vacationing in Kelowna! Big praise for the Chef and the friendly staff !!!!

I asked for gluten free, and got a sandwich made with fake chicken (made from mostly gluten). When I went to talk to Naked Cafe at the end of my lunch break, I was not offered a refund or any sort of amends, and the people working seemed to just want to avoid the situation, and I was pretty nice about it. I went back again after work and asked for a refund, it took ages for them to figure out how to do it on their machine, and there was no extra compensation, even considering I was practically poisoned, had to force myself to purge what I ate, and I didnt get to have a lunch that day, which I told them. Also, the fries that came with the sandwich were sweet for some reason and soggy, and the gluten free bun that I took a couple of bites of was one of the dryest and most crumbly that I have had. Ive heard bad things about the cleanliness of the kitchen, etc. but decided to try it anyway. I wont be trying it again.

I visited Kelowna for the weekend and found this cafe. Me and my friends enjoyed the atmosphere. I tried one of the burgers and really liked it. Staff is friendly and servers are beautiful.

I m not vegetarian but the food in this restaurant was absolutely amazing, as were the staff and the atmosphere. Count this as a must place to visit next time you re in Kelowna.

Definitely some of the best plant-based/vegan food in Kelowna. Since the renovation, the space is nice and open and still retains that cool 50s diner feel. The food is excellent and that is coming from a frequent eater of eggs, dairy, and meat; that stuff is not mandatory to have your mind blown by this food. Service is always friendly and helpful and the atmosphere feels like such a great modern spin an old classic. Great! 5/5

UPDATE: we just got back from a week in Kelowna and sure enough, I went back to Naked Cafe! They renovated and changed the menu since the last time I visited, so I got to try some new things! I had Seitans Waffles for breakfast and the seitan chickn was AMAZING. The seitan had a nice texture, the coating was crispy, the seasoning was perfect. It was really nice to have something different as a breakfast option. I also went for lunch another day and had the Buffalo Ranch Sandwich which was also amazing! I had to have more cupcakes as well, which were still delicious. The place is a lot more open and spacious now since the renovations! I just love this place and Im sad I have to wait until my next visit to eat here again! Went to Kelowna for 3 days to visit family and I loved this place! The first time we visited was for coffee/hot chocolate and cupcakes and everything was delicious. We enjoyed it so much, we decided to go for brunch the next day. I ordered the harvest wrap with the crispy hash patties and spicy mayo and it was the best vegan breakfast Ive ever had! I loved it so much, I ordered it for breakfast the next day too. My boyfriend (who isnt vegan) ordered the pulled pork sandwich (made out of potato), and he said it was very good (of course I had to try it too and I thought it was delicious as well ;) The restaurant is cute and the staff was very friendly. I wish I could have tried more of the menu, but we will definitely be back here the next time were in Kelowna!

Naked Cafe offers a delicious great variety of plant base food that will not disappoint. It s child friendly and offers kids menu for smaller appetites if you are visiting with young children. Highly recommended while in Kelowna!!

Naked cafe is such a gem in Kelowna. Recently I made a few dietary adjustments and this place just hits the spot to meet those changes. I have had the tempeh bacon benny, pad thai, and market poutine. All SO GOOD. Great portion size and flavours are wonderful. Would recommend to anyone, vegan or not!

Genuinely such an amazing place! all of the staff are SO nice. I honestly have started studying here a lot because the food is just so good + the drinks are amazing!! The atmosphere is also sososososo good. I cannot say enough good things! try the BLTA or the matcha lemonade!!!

The food was too sour, also i asked the staff for the copy of my receipt and she threw it at me and that too on my dirty plate

Very very good!!! The greatest cafe for vegetarians in Kelowna. If you feel tires and bored with franchise cafe, you must be here. 1. Although I am not a vegetarian, I strongly recommend all food. 2. Coffee is also very good. 3. Presentation and quantity and quality for food make me happy. 4. The vibe and interior of this cafe is just for eating.

Service was awesome. The waitress was very helpful with recommendations and she was not wrong. Food was great!

Really nice vegan cafe. Hadnt been in for a few years and was amazed at the renovations theyve done! The space is so much larger and I love the decor of the place. My partner and I went and had a very nice little lunch. We really liked the amount of variety in their menu. It was hard to flag down someone for the bill so I just went up to the front counter and paid there. Overall good experience and will visit again. Vegetarian options: Vegan cafe, lots of good variety for any level of pickyness! Dietary restrictions: They had lots of alternative milk options and able to customize your order.

Visited for lunch with my husband last week and we had a great experience. The staff were amazing, super friendly and provided wonderful service. I was so pumped to get a vegan pumpkin spice latte! Such a cute place with excellent food. Looking forward to our next visit!

I just had the best Thanksgiving meal ever. Usually Im eating with non-vegetarians and my choices are few. I enjoyed every bite of every dish I tried. The borscht was so delightful. that was a highlight. The food combined with happy friendly staff right down to the tunes, give this place an awesome vibe.

The food is amazing and makes me feel happy and body well taken care of. The staff are very very friendly and cheerful! It brings happiness to wrap up a day busy here. Only had take out from here before but would be dining in more often now!

Warm, welcoming, inviting gem of a restaurant. Love that the whole menu is available all day. They easily accommodated our party of 12 and created a wonderful environment. Not many of us were vegan but we enjoyed the food nonetheless!

I had the holiday bowl and it was simply delicious. The portion was sufficient with delicious salad and seitan. Every component of the bowl was just perfect.

Very cute decor restaurant with great food! We got the buffalo chickpea caesar and gia bonita bowl. The chickpea one was alright but the other one was actually so good. Huge portions as well. Would come back to try their burgers ;)

What I had I would describe as was vegan comfort food. Cauliflower tacos were delicious with tasty toppings that provided a combo of crunch, spice and acidity. My burger and my friends Buffalo Ranch Sandwich werr also delicious with a side poutine I would definitely go back for. Generous portion sizes, and really kind, attentive service.

Ive dined here over a dozen times now, and enjoy it each time. Some dishes are hit or miss depending on your tastes, but once you find the ones you enjoy its great everytime. The food is tasty and homey; it feels like Im eating well. I definitely recommend the sweet chili seitan bowl.
