This place was so yummy! The servers were great. A great family spot with lots of character. The food was great! Had a hard time choosing what to eat. The tables are close together but that wasn t an issue for us like some other reviewers. They also had water for our pup. Would definitely go again!

Fantastic beer, especially nautical disaster, sultana gold, true north, and Lago to name a few. The patio is busy, but with a friendly atmosphere. Like ye old chip truck, low brew has become a must in Kenora. Lucky for me I work beside the Winnipeg brew location. Id like to give 4.5 stars.

Listen... I cant believe this place is in Kenora... This as a good as any brewery Ive been too across Canada and the US. The local beers were great. Food was quick and tasty. Our waitress was very attentive. Plus dogs allowed on patio is a bonus

Food and beverages were excellent but found the service very slow this time. Wasnt very busy when we went but took 15 minutes before the drinks came to the table. After the food came the waitress never gave us a second glance and had to go up to the bar to pay because it took so long to get the cheque. I dont think she was having a good day. Thay being said you gotta go.

I heard many stories about this place and finally, while in Kenora, we managed to stop by. Great place! Great service, delicious food and wonderful beer. The wings were delicious and we will live with memories of The Jerk pizza for a long time. Coming to this restaurant was a great end to the day, we will definitely go there when we visit Kenora again!

Stopped by for lunch, our server (Shanna banana) was top shelf!. Food was on point especially for a pub, tri-tip non-breaded wings yes! Mac salad was very tasty.

Loved our meal here. We are from the west coast and have eaten at many breweries and this was definitely one of the best. The Fleetwood Mac was incredible. The beers were great. Staff was friendly and efficient. Highly recommend.

We stopped in for a quick lunch, and had a wonderful experience! While the restaurant looked busy from the outside, our party of six was seated promptly. Beverage, appetizer, and meal orders were taken quickly, and the servers were excellent. The food was fantastic, with everyone at the table ordering something different, and being equally impressed. Definitely worth trying!

Checked the hours twice, planned on stopping here during a long roadtrip and was excited about it, only to discover they were closed and didn t update their hours. We then had to waste time trying to find somewhere else to eat in a hurry. Don t try to go here, make other plans from the outset. We were all very disappointed.

I recently visited Lake of the Woods Brewery and unfortunately had a less-than-pleasant experience. I ordered the jerk tacos, unaware that they would be the spiciest food Ive ever encountered. There was no indication on the menu or from the staff about the extreme level of spiciness, which was quite overwhelming. To confirm it wasnt just me, I let my sister and brother try the meal, and both of their mouths instantly lit on fire. This confirmed my suspicion that the spiciness level was excessively high and unexpected. It felt like my ulcer was flaring up for hours after eating just a few bites. The intense heat of the dish left me in considerable discomfort, making it impossible to enjoy the rest of my meal or the evening. When I brought this to the attention of the manager, I was disappointed with the response. Despite explaining my dissatisfaction, I was only given a partial discount of approximately 27% off the entire price. This felt inadequate considering the discomfort and the fact that I couldnt enjoy my meal. While I appreciate the attempt to rectify the situation, the overall experience left much to be desired. Clear communication about the spiciness of dishes and a more satisfactory resolution would have significantly improved my visit.

We have visited the Lake of the Woods breweries in Kenora, Warroad and Winnipeg. Today we stopped in at the Kenora site enjoying a Sasquatch as well as a Blood Orange Cider. Our server Ally was super friendly and very attentive. Thanks Lake of the Woods and Ally we shall return.

We just arrived at the restaurant before the lunch rush. We thought we might have to wait for a table, but they found us a table. I really didnt see people waiting for a table either & it was very busy. The server was friendly, polite & attentive. We had their homemade pizza, it was delicious, I highly recommend it. The only downside was the noise, otherwise we will be going there again.

Hostess at entrance from 1:10pm on Aug 16, 24, wearing green blouse and blue jean shorts wasnt nice at all. Felt she probably was discriminating against us, it was that bad. She ignored myself and my wife 3 times while we were at the front of the line, waiting to be seated. I even had to put my hand up and say table for two for us too. But she still ignored us until the 3rd group said aloud why we havent been seated yet as they came and saw us there waiting. She is young red head lady I recall. The only thing I can assume is that we were the only 2 black people around at the time. And I must say I hope that wasnt the reason. I hope she gets proper coaching on good customer service, and to not treat people so poorly. I must say the waiter was nice and a friendly guy. And the food and drink was good though.

What an amazing place with great vibes! All the food is excellent! My fav beer is Lakeside check it out. A definite must visit in Kenora.

My wife and I visited the restaurant on a Friday afternoon. We got a table near the open doors, which was very pleasant. Our server, Avery, was superb from the moment we met her. Attentive and timely service was provided, drinks ordered arrived quickly. We also ordered food-a pound of S&P wings and the cauliflower crust Goodfella pizza. Both food items were excellent. We loved that the staff all seemed to be very positive and were performing as a real team. Overall an incredibly enjoyable visit.

We travelled here from Manitoba for a day trip and had Shanna as our server she was awesome to have super welcoming very Informative on the questions we asked about the items on the menu and had some great suggestions on what she likes and overall made our 1st experience here a fantastic one. We loved that the place also had a dog friendly patio and supplied water for the pooches. Thank you Shanna for being such an amazing server for us.

Best restaurant Ive ever been to the waiters are the sweetest people ever and are so friendly to my two dogs Macy and Pippy. They also played one of my favorite songs while I was there (just like heaven by the cure) and all of the food I got was to die for.

They had multiple open tables and would not seat a party of 2. Told us we would have to wait 30 minutes. They sat other groups right as we left. I will never come here again and will not buy their beer.

Mid day after lunch rush after the July long weekend. 4 open tables. 3 servers 2 bartender and managers working the restaurant and 3 people working the merch room(which makes no sense). Took 30 mins to get seated . Took 2 hours to get our food . Will it ever get better ?

New it was gonna be busy and I needed a spot on terrace because I had my dog along with me. Showed up at 4:45 on a Saturday and was given a table straight away. Waitress recommended a nice change up cider and it was nice. Burger was yummy. I m from Quebec and poutine cheese needs to squeek. This one didn t but I have learned to manage expectations when I leave the belle province. Puppy was offered a bowl of water and was well behaved. Probably go again tonight.

Yesterday, July 11, 2024 myself and my husband had dinner at the Lake f the Woods Brewing Company and the waitress Shanna Banana was very bubbly, had lots of energy, she was making sure that all customers were happy and enjoying. Fantastic staff and vibe, but I personally would not recommend the jerk chicken pizza. The best damn pizza (with prosciutto, feta, and arugula) was really good!

Have been here before and the beer impressed me yet again. The soup was excellent. SERVICE GREAT.

Lovely spot in the middle of town. Lovely service and quite friendly. Food is delicious and their craft beers are quite good and all is reasonably priced.

My husband and I are visiting and thought we would drop in for a flight. Unfortunately we were told by a server that they were busy and she would be remiss if she didnt tell us she wouldnt be able to provide good service because of this. I have never heard anyone say anything like this before. She might just as well have said she didnt want our business. We were not encouraged to come back at a specific time or make a reservation. We also noted that the table vacated while we were there was still empty about 10 or 15 minutes later when we walked by. This is very unfortunate and we were disappointed. We have been to many restaurants and breweries in the last year on our travels through the United States and now through Canada and have never been blown off like this. We had to come back to our own country to be treated like this. We would have also purchased some beer to go and perhaps some swag. But sadly we didnt get the opportunity.

Great restaurant and really good beer. We came here two different times on a three day trip. The fish tacos and fish and chips are really good. The beer is great. The staff is very attentive.

So the restaurant at the location in Kenora is NOT open on a Monday as the hours indicate. Apparently they are closed on Monday s, but the girl in the beer vendor area didn t know when they closed on Monday s or when they d be open again on a Monday. She also mentioned that they ve been meaning to update the hours online, but just hadn t yet. We were super disappointed as we were driving by from Thunder Bay. We had heard good things about the beer and food here and we were also happy that they would allow dogs on the patio. Maybe we ll stop by again, but not sure. I definitely suggest calling ahead if these kinds of details are important in making your travel plans.

As we drove through town my spouse pointed this place out, immediately we agreed it was the spot for dinner and it did not disappoint !! We stopped in on a Thursday night just before dinner time and were seated right away, both the hostess and waitress were friendly and welcoming. We each got a flight of different beers/seltzers to try, all of our choices were super refreshing. I ordered one of each taco and my spouse ordered the Pulled Pork Sandwich.. while my tacos were delicious it was nothing compared to the sandwich, all night I could not stop raving about how good it was. I wish we could ve stayed another night in town just to come back and try this spot again. I can t recommend stopping in for a drink or bite to eat enough and will be forever dreaming of that sandwich..

We always love stopping by here for some ceasers, wings and, of course, the beer! Great staff and a great atmosphere.

Made a visit to be part of the viewing of The Great Canadian Pottery Throwdown. Great to support a local artist on the big tube. Loved the physical set up - old firehall with the trimmings - helmuts/ropes/ The creative signage was entertaining!!! And of course the beverage selection very fine!!!

Friendly staff, good food, fun atmosphere. It was really busy for a week night and the staff did great even though they were short staffed. Patio was full and its fun cause you can bring your dog! Update - Easter weekend, they made the kids a bunny shaped pizza!

The Sultana gold was an absolutely delicious golden beer at one point when I believe an indavidual named Jonas was brewing it, since his departure it has slowly gone downhill into what is now a veey similar in taste to a pabst beer.

I ve visited this restaurant several times over the years, it s hard passing through and not stopping to eat. It s been a few years since stopping by and was told there s been some menu changes. I was excited to see my favourite dish re-introduced to the menu. I was disappointed with the service. As it picked up with patrons I understood with the servers inattentive service, until I seen both quick delivery of food from the kitchen and offer of drinks to be refilled for other tables, but not for ours. My food arrived cold and of a different portion size from the exact same choice for others at my table. Poor service, underwhelming food, and the blatant difference in attention given makes me question my opinion of this establishment. I m sure you ll have a better experience but be warned.

After 8,500+ km of my failed cross Canada journey that took me from central Alberta, through Ontario, Quebec, and New Brunswick in a spring snow storm for 2 days, a cancelled ferry to Newfoundland Island and an eclipse in Fredericton, I decided to stop in Kenora for a little downtime. Lake of the Woods Brewery did not disappoint. Excellent craft beer from Ontario. The bartender suggested a couple of beers to try and my favorite was the Firehouse Ale - English Nut Brown. Strong nut flavour with classic Brown ale tones was fantastic. I ordered the Get Bentz Ruben, a fall-apart-in-your-hand kinda sandwich, that I really enjoyed. After my evening, I headed into the side store for some beer to enjoy at home as well as some merch. I love supporting local in Alberta and will do the same across this country. Thanks to lowbrewco for a great evening in Kenora. Looking forward to coming back next year for some camping and hiking. Have great summer!!

Went to Improv at Trilight theatre, great time, went to Brewco after and the first word we where greeted with was we close at 10 but it was 20 to 10, so we could have a cocktail, unless their server is super slow. There is NO nightlife in Kenora. There was no wait, they didn t want to serve us!

Came to have lunch with my husband waited 15 minutes to be seated, once seated and given menus no one came back to take our order. We waited 20 minutes for a server that never came. Never have we had such bad service but apparently what staff they had working didn t care because they were happier to see friends and talk to them than do their jobs

All the food was good a little cold but other then that great food all the staff were very nice I love that you can see thru the glass wall Into the kitchen to see how the food is made. Over a a great place I defendantly recommend.

I cant even express how bad the service I got tonight. This is first time ever I went there, but end up with the disappointment. The server was not very friendly and at the end while cashing out I paid my bill on the POS and I was entering my email to email the receipt to myself, but she came and snatched the POS and with even asking she printed the receipt and said I have other people to pay as well. That was such a rude gesture I received, my sister first ever came in Canada and said this is how Canadians treat tourists here. The only good part was Food & that was amazing.

We enjoy stopping at the retail shop for some beer on our way out, and inevitably find extra items (love the t-shirts). Weve always had friendly staff who are happy to help. Definitely a Kenora highlight! Our favourite craft brewery. Review from 2017: My husband and I hosted our rehearsal dinner/bachelor/bachelorette party there on a Friday night and had an awesome experience! The supervisor we worked with (Bethan) to make all the arrangements was amazing and easy to work with. The servers on that night were superb, the whisky room was perfect, and the bathrooms were sparkling!

Craft beer styles are rather eccentric, lacking balance between the elements. Each beer has a pronounced malt or hop characteristic which can either be pleasant or disruptive depending on the consumers interpretation. Fundamentally the beers were clean and free of off-flavors

I really enjoyed the food and the beer. However, the people on the street had me nervous to leave my vehicle parked outside the venue. I saw a man pulling on door handles and another person almost waist deep in the Canada Post outbound mail bin. Its a shame. I would have liked to stay longer.

Great food and boasts a good selection of beers and other alcoholic options. Staff was friendly and service was good even during a busy evening.

Historic fire hall with board games, jubox & piano. Really good pizza. Bummed they brew all this beer but no non alcoholic. If your on the patio it is a bit annoying with loud cars and the undesirables.

We stopped in for lunch on a Sunday. The place as hopping but Server was attentive, food was great - excellent burger and fish tacos. And the beer, of course, was good.

The restaurant was busy but the service was great and super quick. The Impeached drink was so good, and the food was amazing. Great place!!

Very cool atmosphere being in an old fire station with so much preserved, including the fire pole. Huge patio with garage doors that are wide open. The food was super delicious and the flights of beer were awesome. BEST of all, was the bartender, Emma, who was swamped with a full house but still looked after her bar clients and checked in on the regular. Sleeping Giant Brewing in Thunder Bay could take a couple of lessons from Emma, thank you for being so welcoming, smiley and a good human!

A very popular hot spot and meeting place for the city of Kenora. They can accommodate crowds as well as pairs. Great food, great drinks, great appetizers, always great service. I m not a beer fan but many people were there purchasing their beer to go. The building is a renovated fire station.

Waited in line outside until they finally opened 5 minutes past their posted opening time. Seated promptly and our drink order was taken quickly. There is a nice selection of craft beers. The drink order took 20+minutes as the bar staff were painfully slow. The beer was good but very warm. The food (soup and pizza) was good. It wasn t quick but wasn t extraordinarily long. We ordered another beer that never came by the time we finished our meal. Warm beer and poor service won t be bringing us back.

We have had great experiences here before, but this time it was a complete downer. We had a 20 minute wait, but that s alright, it s always busy on weekends. We were seated in the searing sun, and our table was 1 of 2 tables which didn t have the shade on it. We asked the person making wait lists and assigning tables if we could be moved to some other table, and got a nope, gotta go back and wait 30 more minutes. At that point we got ready to leave without ordering, but our server moved us to another table. But the service was so excruciatingly slow after that, and not once did we get checked on if we needed water or if the food was ok. I get it you are busy, but at least some semblance of service would have been nice. Very disappointing experience.

Excellent as always. We have been coming here since it opened 10 years ago. Kenora is starting to make a comeback but for a while there, this was pretty much the only place worth going to (Plaza never seemed to be open and the Lake House was a bit snobby for peasants like us). Great beer, well made and not gimmicky like some places. They dont burn out your taste buds with ridiculously bitter beer (although they do have some really hoppy numbers, but they actually have flavour too). Nautical Disaster, The Beer With No Name, Forgotten Lake, Lakeside, and (of course), Sultana are some favourites. Good food as well (love the James Dean Burger). Menu has evolved over the years, they now have wood fired pizza and tacos, and the chicken wings are finally famous, (they were almost famous for the longest time) but the Jimmy, and the Ruben are still there. It can get a little packed and noisy on a weekend in the summer. But, swing by on an afternoon in the winter (after some ice fishing perhaps) and there is a really chill vibe to the place. There are off sales and some really nice merch in the little store down the ramp. Congrats on 10 years! Hoping for many more decades to come.

I had the chicken wings and got HORRIBLE food poisoning, they were also super dry and not worth it.

The place is busy on a Saturday night, but theres lots of seating. Outdoor patio is nice. Service was good, and friendly. Cool atmosphere, as it was an old firehall. Sports on the TVs, all in all , a fun place. We went on a weekday for lunch the next time, and the Canadian pizza was very good! Pretty busy place, even at 11:30am!

Cool building and great beer, but barely-there service, sub-par food prep, dirty table. 30 min wait to get a table, so grabbed a beer at the bar and was waited on immediately - but then the bartender completely ignored my friend who eventually gave up after 3 other customers were served. Finally got our table which hadnt been cleaned (ketchup on the bench - thank goodness we saw that and didnt sit in it, sticky residue on the entire tabletop). 20 min wait to place order. 30 min wait for food. Pizza crust was burnt black on one half. Fries were good, and blue kayak burger was good. Wait staff never reappeared to refill drinks or check on us in over an hour. Had to go to the bar to get refills. Waitress only reappeared to take payment.

More waitresses or waiters. Food very good but service makes me not want to come back. Waitress visiting with people but didnt have time to attend to her tables. Took a very long time to get a drink/food order in and then one of our meals showed up after the rest of us were done. Bad service!

Great vibe, unreal patio and well worth the stop.

Good beer, mediocre food. I understand butter chicken may be a hit or miss, but this wasnt even a respectable attempt. Tomato sauce with beyond meat cannot be even considered remotely butter chicken. Also the garlic parmesan wings were the worst GarPar Ive ever eaten. No sauce what so ever. Was just breaded chicken wings with a hint of garlic. Craft lager was decent and had contributes greatly from improving rating of 1 to 2.

Food and Beer was top shelf. Atmosphere was super upbeat and friendly. Heck, even had same experience in the gift shop.

Had the veggie sandwich and it was surprisingly good and humongous of a burger, but then Im also not that much of a big eater. Wait time for food to arrive was not that long, considering we were also a very large group. The only downside of sitting at the patio was being able to smell the smoke of vehicles and also just being cautious of your belongings since there were a few homeless people hanging around outside of the restaurant. Server abruptly asked for our orders immediately after sitting down. We then waited for about 20 minutes to order. The food was delicious though. The James Dean burger was among the best burgers Ive had. Would recommend this place, but they were maybe a little bit under staffed for how busy it was.

Stopped for an overnight stay in Kenora and we wanted PIZZA! This place had what we wanted! Some good combinations, tasty options and craft beer! We did takeout and the pizza was delicious! The Lakeside Kolsch was pretty damn good too! I would have liked to eat Im but maybe next time. The atmosphere was very nice! Thanks!

Good vibe and beer but really disappointing vegetarian/vegan options. They used to have a veggie burger, but nothing satisfying to order for a meal if you don t eat dairy or meat.

We were on vacation in Kenora from the states. We made a point to stop at the brewery, we have been to the one in Warroad and always enjoy it. The Kenora location blew us away! The staff was so friendly and the food was delicious. They have a large selection of different types of beers which we really enjoyed.

My wife and I are from out of town heard the lake of the woods brewing co. Was a good place to eat , our meal was fantastic and our server Morgan was awesome will definitely come back, went back for a second time the food and beer , and service were fantastic

Great drinks and menu. Overhead doors open up so eating inside still feels like a patio! They have a small gift shop to buy a sweater / fav beer or in my case, bandana for your dog! We will be back.

Excellent brewery with a great selection of beers. Restaurant is also good and usually very busy in the summer. Food is delicious and they have a great variety of pub food.

Unfortunately the kitchen was closed, but the IPA beers were delish, and the service was wonderful.

Need more staff on. Was told it would be a hour wait but saw atleast 6 open tables. Picked up some beer instead which was good.

Tourist Trap ,beer prices higher than Lcbo.

We were passing through kenora on our way for a weekend of camping and stopped in for a bite to eat and a few pints. First of all, we had our 2 dogs and finding a dog friendly patio is like striking gold for a dog lover needless to say LOWB were very accommodating. We ordered the chicken burger and chicken finger dishes which were amazing and quenched our thirst with some seltzers. Highly recommend this place

Good brewery and good beer. Restaurant food is awesome(lots of beer inspired dishes), tons of merch and always a good time. We stop by all the time that we come to Kenora.

Variety of drinks (full bar) and food, historic space, and a great patio. Huge tap list of their brews. Its a must!

The bar tender was very prompt and got me the beer I requested. Would have been nicer if they had available in the tap room the beer I tried Im retail( Toast Master).

After being directed to a table we waited 30 minutes for someone to take our order. After waiting we tried to order flights at the bar and the bar tender told us she would send a server to our table. After another 10 minutes someone came and took our order. We had ordered food from a food truck as their kitchen was closed, and that came right after our drink order was taken. We finished our food and left the bar after an hour without any beverages reaching our table.

My Fiance and I had the traditional poutine, firehall fries, Pollo tacos & Al Pastor tacos. With a tap beer (I dont drink beer so I dont recall which one) and crown and Pepsi. Great Grub and awesome service, not to mention the music Playlist was fantastic.

Purchased blueberry beer in mid September. Opened it today. Full of sediment. Date canned Nov 18 2021. Tossed the other cans. Not impressed. Follow up Dec, 2 2022. LOWBREWCO will replace my Blueberry Beer when I am able to get there.
