LOVE this place. It is a must-experience when in Kenora.

Good Greek food but crazy expensive...but this is Canada after all.

Delicious! Could easily kick ass on the Danforth in Toronto!

We dine here every summer when we come out to the cottage. The first time we were there we had the saganaki appetizer and we were hooked. The Greek salad is the best I have ever had. Tina and Terry are absolutely wonderful as is the entire team. Last evening we were in Kenora and had dinner there. My husband had gifted me with a gorgeous emerald claddagh ring for our anniversary and I was devastated when I realized the emerald had come loose and was missing. The staff were so kind and happily, with the whole team searching, the lost was found. This is now not only my favourite restaurant in Kenora. This my favourite restaurant. The end.

Love their baklava! Its a must try!

The food is fantastic. If Germany wasnt so far away I would come back at any time just for the Saganaki. It all fits together. Food, service, ambience and the friendliness of the staff. Kind regards Andy and Dani from Germany

This is hands down the best restaurant in Kenora. I make the 3 hour trip to Kenora just to come to the Plaza. The Saganaki is the BEST. The Lemon soup is unmatched, the menu is incredible and the cocktails are equally impressive. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Plaza easily had the best Greek food I ve ever had. We had an amazing waitress who was very friendly and attentive. They are always my first choice when choosing where to go out to eat in Kenora!

Great Greek restaurant in Kenora! Very good food and portions. My only complaint is I had a take out order to which an auto gratuity was applied. I don t mind tipping at all for a to go order as I know how hard it is working in the service industry but it would have been nice to at least be told this before hand. Not a big deal though, will be back!

My wife and I and our family have been going to Plaza for 20 years. Sometimes we drive from Winnipeg to Kenora just to go to Plaza. The food is so so good and the environment Tina and her team create is truly heart warming. We feel like we are a part of the family. Thank you Plaza for so many fantastic family memories. Kid-friendliness: Over all the years Tina and her team have always been so kind to our kids, and now our grandkids.

This was our first time dining at this restaurant. The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was divine; plus, our server, Katelyne, was just amazing.

The restaurant has delicious food, and because of this I am a fairly frequent customer. The ladies are absolutely phenomenal. I only have had some negative experiences in regards to the male server. He has been condescending and rude. I work in the service industry, so I try to be extra respectful while outside of work for service staff as well. I just hope nobody new to the restaurant has him as a server and is detoured from coming again. (I rated 4 stars only due to the experiences with the male server. Otherwise I would rate 5/5)

I at here on a recent holiday, and although the service and food was excellent, I ordered takeout. I was told over the phone that there was a mandatory 15% gratuity on all take out. It has been 5 days since my meal and I am still bothered by a mandatory gratuity on a minimal service order. I was treated wonderfully by the staff I interacted with and I would have tipped, but what am I tipping for? Should a business not build its prices to pay a living wage, what happened to tips being appreciated not expected? I am not sure I will be back on my next trip to my hometown.

Ive been about a dozen times now and have been thoroughly impressed and never let down! The saganaki is a must try, the greek potatoes are the most delicious Ive ever tasted and the list goes on...

I own a kitchen Exhaust cleaning company we deal with hundreds of restaurants throughout the city of Winnipeg , And Northern Ontario Plaza restaurant is one of the cleanest .

Plaza Restaurant was a wonderful experience. They had a great selection of drinks for my wife and I and they had a good variety of food for our 9 and 12 year old. The food itself was remarkable and the service was beyond exceptional. Our server Brooklynn made our experience delightful and we will definitely be back when we travel through Kenora again.

Best food in town!

Hungry pregnant person just wanted what I wanted. I wanted the meat balls with rice and a salad. But the meatballs are only available in a pita sandwich or appetizer. Then theres no rice. And the $20 salad. But they wont serve it to me in the restaurant because its on the kids menu. I understand wanting to keep less expensive options exclusively for kids. But my order is $43 with a required tip because they dont pay their kitchen staff a living wage and I wasnt invited to dine in. Dietary restrictions: No plant based protein options nor substitutions.

Kid-friendliness: Yum!!! I don t think I ve ever had such hot food in a restaurant!! Everything on the plate was piping hot even 5 minutes later. Delicious. Awesome service!!

When we got here, we were struck by the cool Mediterranean atmosphere! Just like I d imagine a Greek restaurant by an oceanfront resort, very neat. Then our waitress proceeded to tell the different options and we ordered a side of Saganaki. Definitely awesome tasting and the experience was amazing. We got the special, Surfside platter and proceeded to stuff ourselves. Before we got the bill, the waitress proceeded to convince us to try their in house made desserts, to go, and did we ever enjoy the eckenick(I think that s how it s spelled). I would absolutely recommend this place for an epic eating experience. Not the cheapest, but absolutely the best and the portions are very good sized.

The chicken souvlaki was tender but too salty. The pita for the wrap turned soggy very quickly. The tzatziki was excellent. It seemed as though they were short staffed on servers; however, they were friendly.

The best Greek food we ve ever had! The calamari, saganaki, traditional Greek salad and Ekmek are our Favorites!

Food was amazing, our waitress was great and attentive, even with it being quite busy. Only disappointment was having to wait a very long time for a table. (We did expect to wait just was a little disappointed when a group with a similar size came in way after us and got a table before us) but despite that everything else made up for that! I would definitely come again even if it involved waiting awhile for a table it was definitely worth it!

Not telling customers oven is down until they order is a little frustrating. Long wait for food, presumably due to the oven being down. Discrepancies on receipt vs. menu. Unfortunately, due to all the amazing reviews. Quite disappointing

I specifically curated the evening I visited Plaza, to celebrate an evening out. I was told by over a dozen separate individuals to try this restaurant where each were fairly consistent on how great the place was. I had a fantastic meal with such a friendly staff. Thoroughly satisfied and so you would as well.

Food was nothing special, and not worth the price charged. They charge a mandatory gratuity, which makes the food that much more costly. The service was extremely slow, but friendly at least. A nice atmosphere, but the atmosphere doesnt make up for the other downfalls. Try somewhere else; Plaza misses the mark. Dietary restrictions: Needed food quickly due to dietary issues; was forced to wait over 45 minutes for a simple gyro.

Food was okay but not worth the price we paid (over $100) for two chicken platters and a salad. Portions should be twice as big for that price. Also, charging a 15% mandatory gratuity on all takeout orders is outrageous.

Went for a work function, its been probably over 10 years since Ive eaten at the Plaza. Restaurant was pretty quiet for a Thursday night. Servers were pleasant and attended to us frequently. Our group had a couple appetizers, the mixed platter and pita bread plus the fried cheese - both tasted great. I had their Greek Combo ie ribs, chicken skewer, Greek potatoes, rice pilaf, and veggies. Everything was moist, and tender. Ribs were kind of bland, I wouldve preferred more seasoning on them. The rest of the items were awesome.

We just finished the most amazing Greek food we have ever had!! We stopped over night in Kenora and ordered delivery to our hotel it came right when they said and it was still hot and fries were crispy ( a big issue I find with delivery sometimes ) the greek salad was fresh and delicious just like everything else we ordered. Truly wish I lived closer to come here more often thank you for such a great meal!!

Exemplary service from knowledgable staff. Delicious food for every palate and pocket book. Tina aims to please. I watched her last night, speaking with a little girl who didnt eat what she had ordered because she didnt like it. Kids right? She offered to cook her something else, listing off many different items. They finally settled on chicken fingers. In a few minutes, out it came and a happy little girl ate her supper!

My girlfriend and I tried to go for dinner and were refused entry by the owner because my girlfriend did not have a QR code for her vaccinations, which she is unable to get because one dose was in Manitoba and one in Ontario. She still has the receipt from the Ontario Government saying she has two valid doses, which has been accepted at every place weve been to once we explained the situation. All of this happened 3 days prior to the vaccination requirement being lifted entirely, which was the biggest disappointment.

Overall, very good. Kept it simple an ordered the vegetarian appetizer platter (40 CAD). Tasty. Not sure which items were house-made, but all were high quality. This was plenty for two people as a meal. We didnt experience the same strong service others reported, and it took about 30 minutes to get our food - probably due to a nearly full-house and busy take out business. We would return.

Purchased takeout. The most phenomenal chicken souvlaki weve ever had. Calamari was delicious. Rice pilaf was to die for. An enormous spanakopita and top notch baklava rounded out some of the best Greek food weve had in Canada and weve had a lot!

Authentic Greek cuisine in Kenora!

Plaza has not only some of the best greek food I have ever had the pleasure to enjoy, but the staff there are just amazing. They kindly accommodated our family (20+) last minute when no where else could after a family funeral. A heartfelt thank you for giving us a place to have a few more hours with loved family not seen in years. Thank you!

Always incredible food, incredible service and good value. Cant beat Lake of the Woods pickerel, any of their Greek dishes (chicken souvlaki, potatoes, rice, lemon soup, saganaki, tzatziki). The Plaza never disappoints.

Great environment

A little pricy but you get what you pay for! We had Spanikopita for an appetizer, chicken Alfredo, chicken souvlaki and Marias ice cream for dessert. The food was fantastic. Our sever, Hayden was awesome. Left the restaurant full and satisfied!

I have been eating at the Plaza for well over 10 years and Ive never once had a bad meal. Every dish has always been top quality, the atmosphere is always warm, and the staff go above and beyond with their service, each and every time.

It was some great Greek food, but quite overpriced in my opinion. Its Kenora not New York, you feel me? four of us each no alcohol to baklava and $173 later. We could have gone to The keg for that amount. Nice atmosphere but pretty steep and price.

Went with a large group of 20+ ppl. The staff are super efficient and very friendly as well. They were super quick as well. Always refilling drinks and ready to take new orders for a cpl ppl who arrived late. The food was so good. The gravy was very salty. Make sure to drink lots of water after lol but most places have overly salty gravy and this is a place to have Greek food. I wasnt feeling Greek that day so I had the beef dip and fries. Or I wouldve ordered the gyro.

Have you ever had a pilaf? You aint never had a pilaf like this pilaf!

A little small. But it has a new fence. Theres a spot that medium-small dogs could potentially slip under the fence at the back left of the park, so be mindful of that. Floods in the spring. Didnt see any poop bags or water dishes.
