Gave my order in At 1040. Went to go pick up. Was told to go through drive through to pick it up. Went back twice and was told to come back twice. They charged my credit twice for an order I didn’t even get. The guy who took my order walked away and said call the manager in the morning and said let her deal with it. Great customer service work.
Very nice staff, what I really noticed is that the staff behind the counter were having fun! They were all busy however they were enjoying what they were doing and all were smiling. You don’t see that often anymore!
Stopped for supper on our way a crossed Canada, was very good! We also stopped again on our way home for breakfast and again was amazing! One of the best if not the best A&W we have been at Along our journey
This is a lovely spot to stop. Restaurant has lots of room and ordering system is well organized. There are 2 sinks for hand-washing in the restaurant open area. It is both practical and educational. Staff were terrific.
I love this place the food is amazing. And the cold root beer pairs really well with their crispy onion rings.

You'd think for paying 10$ for a burger you'd get real bacon on it. When brought inside to ask about my bacon they basically laughed at me. As I walked out they all pointed and smirked 😏
Excellent customer service and I will definitely go back again and the whistle dog is back limited time one of my favorites had three of them tried to make at home but wasn't the same as a matter of fact I'm going there for lunch today

Even despite the pandemic, Randy has kept the A&W open for take out at the drive through. For a while we were able to dine in and appreciate the newly renovated interior, which is very nice. The burgers, fries and onion rings are all delicious, we having ordered takeout there earlier this week. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, like the owner and it is a real pleasure to go there. Today was just a coffee run yet the staff were cheerful, friendly and prompt. Nice to go to a place where you are remembered and appreciated. For their extra efforts to stay open in these trying times and still be terrific people, I give a rare 5 stars. Update December 2021: A&W continues to amaze with their service. New furnishings, a new coffee bar service and more effective plexiglass shields between tables. All this despite operating during a pandemic. Dining in is a pleasure as you are assured that everything is cleaned and sanitized while everyone, including customers, are double vaccinated and masked.
The burgers were dry especially because of the buns they were so hard. The root beer in the mug was delicious and fries were very good too. 2 stars because of the dissapointing star the burgers.

Root beer was flat . They tried fixing the issue when we took our drinks back to the counter
One friend treated me to brunch as I finally found an apartment. Randy, the owner was present and cordially and gracefully helping his staff by serving us each our breakfasts as they were ready from the kitchen. Such a great guy and nice family atmosphere to be in.
This is a great A & W, especially the service and professional staff. Busy place. Got stuck in parking lot due to long drive through line and impolite (hungry) drivers though. Parking: Interferes with drive through line (if parked in first row).

I have to down grade my previous review. We stopped in for lunch last weekend. Well this time were shorted on the onion rings. The paper liner was not pushed down into the tray so we prob got about half the portion. Not pleased. Order the to go bag to get your value. Previous review now. Who would think of A&W as a breakfast place. Great value with coupons and a decent breakfast with coffee included.

I love A&W. But this time was disappointing. The washrooms were messy and pee all over the floor. The counter and sinks were wet and messy. When we first walked in it was very busy. Full house. The staff were rude and I felt rushed. Once we got our food, it wasnt hot. It seemed like it sat under a heating lamp. I was looking forward to a frozen root beer, but the machines were down. So okay, regular root beer, again the machine was down. So water. Not sure if we will every come back. We ordered inside the restaurant, but took out.

Was actually one of the best service experiences in this little town. Team was engaged in helping customers, worked together and you could see a comradary in a fast food shop. And the teen burger and fries? Super yummy.

Second time at this location. Foods always great. I was concerned about the dirty washrooms and sticky floors last time (mentioned it to the staff). Much much better this time around! Thank you :)
They have a Petro Canada EV charging station on their property that is useless. Go to the IVY charging station instead...it works good.
I have been to a few different locations and find the Kenora A&W to be very clean and enjoyable location. Staff has always been respectful and polite, as well as quick. Its our choice to go when I dont feel like cooking and want some good service and food.
Got my order wrong. Asked for 2 plain papas, no cheese. Yet there was everything on it when I opened the bag. Totally ruined it for me.

Got breakfast and the wait was okay, service was friendly. Its very large inside even if it doesnt look it from the outside. Its a generic A&W though, so if thats what youre going for then go right ahead! Wheelchair accessibility: Not sure if I saw a wheelchair ramp, there are two sets of doors to get into the building but there didnt seem to be a ramp or door buttons.
A&W Since the time of roller skates up to the side- tray of car windows, this place has been flawless. The service is and always has been outstanding. Very clean and organized environment. My favorite is a rootbeer float and whistle dog combo w onion rings & apple pie turnover.. I consider the food quality, taste and aftermath, above fast-food quality for sure! Way-to-go A&Ws!
Actually the worst a and w experience Ive ever had. The Nashville hot chicken burger had a tiny splash of hot sauce in the middle and thats it which is not the way it is advertised. I had to ask for more sauce and it honestly just tasted like their seasoning salt mixed with chili and oil, it wasnt even hot just super salty. Yam fries undercooked and chewy. Sirloin uncle burger had a smaller than normal patty, extremely greasy but bad flavour and dry buns. Root beet flat out of the fountain. Not up to standard of normal chains.

Love that the class 2 ev charger is free, more places need to do this, even if they are not free. Fries are better now too.

A&W prices have risen so much that is not an inexpensive meal anymore especially when you go through drive-thru. We ordered a teem burger, uncle burger and two orders of onion rings along with a large root beer and it came to $30 approximately.
I ordered the beyond burger at the counter. The counter staff are very friendly. I am not a vegan or not generally a fan of A&W burgers, but the beyond burger will definitely be on the top of my list of fast food burgers. Next time Im in town working here, Ill definitely stop grab another burger.
Quick friendly service, food was hot and typical AW quality. Very clean location with great modern amenities. Staff actually feel like they take some pride in this place and their work. Keep up the great work.

Fast drive-thru service. We had no wait for my partners beyond meat. There was 1 issue: I asked for a diet drink and they gave me a regular root beer.
Had a good classic breakfast there are it and relaxed in the car before carrying on on my trip.
Asked for a slice of onion in my burger but they never gave me one , bad service .
The best tasting burgers of all of the A&W locations I frequent. Consistently delicious, fresh, and quality made burgers. I have never had a bad burger from this location.

Great service. Felt a little hungrier than usual. Decided to create a breakfast meal, called it the A&W Ultimate Canadian. 2 eggs, 5 sausages, 5 strips of bacon and 2 hash browns with rye toast. Very satisfying, I believe its my go to breakfast from now on. Best value for a great meal.

The onions rings were a definite different texture than usual. Also with a slight sour aftertaste as if they had been soaked in buttermilk. Not as good as usual. Not sure if the recipe was changed

Great beyond meat burger
Had a pretty good breakfast. Obviously they were kinda short staffed because we had to wait a bit I didn t get the sausage links I ordered and the over medium eggs we ordered were very runny and the yolk wasn t broken like we specified. We were impressed with the drive thru. Was well big enough to get our truck and trailer thru.
