This was the only place that had the bomber game projected the game with volume. They close at at 7 but stayed open to watch the game. Food was amazing, service was amazing, I would recommend this place over another place in Kenora!!!!

Driving through kenora figured we d stop for a quick lunch. The service was very poor, no attention to detail, the menu is not correct the prices are incorrect. Special of the day doesn t seem to exist. Only time server came to check on our table is when we were ready to pay up. As she just stood behind me watching the machine. The tip I left was not deserved. We didn t even get a have a good day the food was okay but you d probably just be better off going to something like a Harvey s.

I wrote a review about Bobs on TripAdvisor the other day but wanted to post here as well. Bobs Burgers is a small hidden gem that Kenora has to offer. Its unique and the food is always fresh and delicious. Nothing fancy and thats the best part. Live music on certain nights and Bob is always around for a fun, friendly chat. We live in Winnipeg but our summer place is by Kenora. Bobs is always a usual place for us to enjoy and I highly recommend you do too.

Decided to take a chance on Bobs as we walkad around shopping in Kenora and so glad we did! Had the sirloin bacon cheese burger fries and a Guinness. Fries were from frozen and average however the burger was aces! Absolutely awesome! Bob himself cooked ours and chatted with us afterwards. Super friendly with a nice old meets new style pub atmosphere. The beautiful patio was packed so we sat inside in the cooled by air conditioning and quaint pub. Now back to the BURGER! The bun was light and did not overpower the experience. All toppings; cheese and bacon were perfect and the star of the show, the paddy was exceptional. No fooling it was one of the best burgers Ive ever had the pleasure of enjoying. Cooked to perfection/medium well on a skillet, juicy with excellent beef flavor, no filler in sight, and seasoned to perfection. I dont know when Ill get back to Kenora again but whenever that is Ill be eating at Bobs Burger Bar!

Was disrespectful right off the hop

Went in to grab a fantastic Philly Cheese Steak. Met the owner, Bob. He seems like a great guy who takes pride in his food. Wasnt in the mood for a burger at the time. But next time I stop in Kenora I NEED to try one of these famous burgers!

The waitress is much to be desired, During the time we are there, she was laughing about some customer.He said the fries were too salty, which they were. She had no compassion or empathy for the customers and laughed about their demise.Any place that has a waitress like that is not worth going to. My son and I went for dinner and shared some laughs while enjoying a classic burger and fries night out! The cook accommodated my gluten sensitivity. Bob himself took the time to greet us and chat for a few moments. Keep up the great service and tasty eats!

Had a Wagyu Burger & Beef/Barley Soup. Both were Very Well made. But the burger patty was tiny (OK, so I usually order Double Bacon Cheddar Uncle s at A&W - is That a Crime?) Anyhow, given that it was Wagyu, a larger patty would had to have been $25, instead of the $10 I paid. So, I should just be Thankful it was TASTY! Thank God The Beef Barley soup was awesome! GREAT service (Thx Jolena!) and a casual Good Atmosphere. Also a good place to pick up a Kenora Thistles Stanley Cup Champs commemorative hoodie, or 2 Bob, the owner, Loves Food and LOVES his Customers! Looking forward to surveying the rest of the menu. Literally Bobs Burgers. Had all the locals hanging out with childrens hand scrawled pics all over - awesome. Burgers - excellent. Topped with chili, bacon, and option of an egg. First bite makes you blurt out - thats a darn good burger. Then Bob literally takes your pic and thanks you for coming! Parking: Paid city parking out back. Kid-friendliness: They love kids lol!

Our family came from 2 hours outta town to try out Bobs burger bar. We dined on the patio that overlooked the lake. Within a couple minutes of being seated by our server we were greeted by Bob himself. Bob was so kind, friendly and extremely welcoming! Now, the food was fantastic! We tried the Smokehouse burger, Fat Bob burgers and a thunder crunch burger, poutines made with homemade fries and onion rings! It was well worth the trip, we will be back! Thank you Bob!

WOW! the atmosphere in this restaurant is amazing it was my first time there and I felt right at home with the amazing treatment from staff and the owner. The food was also amazing with so much flavour and good portion sizes. The service could be a little better but I feel that s the case everywhere. Overall well done to the team at this restaurant, would definitely recommend!!

This is a very authentic burger bar experience. The grit and grundge is real and good. No false pretenses here, you can be yourself, let your hair down and enjoy a good burger and fries. It was a nice touch that the owner went around making conversation and taking pictures of everyone when they got their food.

My girlfriend and I visited this place on Monday, July 3rd around lunchtime. The food, service and place were excellent! Food was fresh and homemade. Patio had umbrellas and lots of sun shining. The owner, Bob, also came by to ask how we were doing. The waitress who served us was so friendly from start to finish. She greeted us almost immediately, asked us where we preferred to sit and checked in on us frequently, even though the place was very busy. We look forward to coming back again!

Drove by a sign out back stating best burger. Drove around to the front. Kinda hard to find if you wouldnt know its there. But the burger & fries were excellent. Lots of kids drawings on the wall takes away from the bar/restaurant vibe. But worth the food and taste!

First time here on our trip from Flin Flon and I have to say it was an amazing experience overall! My husband bought two takeout burger meals, one with fries and one with onion rings, to share. I kid you not, the meal was actually temperature hot, smelled like homemade and literally melted in our mouths!

Probably the worst most disgusting food ive ever eaten . I had chicken cordon bleu, which was the special. Picked it up at took it home . the chicken was disgusting . must have been cooked days earlier and very obviously microwaved. The salad , wich was only lettuce , was warm and brown. I didnt even get my fries and was going to go back and get them , but by the time I was done eating what i could stomach , I said forget it , that was enough bad food . my mistake though , when the waitress had to go outside and get the cook , who was outside smoking , I should have gone back in and got my money back. Awful food , dirty restaraunt , dirty staff . obviously havent been back since , and will never go there again. Zero on a scale of 1 to 10. Ok then chicken Kiev it was your special. Absolutely microwaveed I know what the burned bubbly crisp means , microwave !!! Brown warm lettuce is not fresh. And what is your response to not even getting my fries ? Youre a joke bib

I tried to call multiple times but their phone line is busy and disconnects immediately. Is this is yet another Kenora resturant disconnecting their phone when they are too busy to avoid taking phone orders? Why not get an answering machine and put a notice saying no more orders are being accepted today? Or posting something on their website? Just turning off your phone is pretty subpar customer service.

I love going to a place where the owner is engaging with customers. The bartender/server was one of those rare cool chicks (like me!) we encounter occasionaly, plus super friendly. The burgers are absolutely delicious. Ive been trying burgers in every town Ive been in on this journey. Bobs Burger...you get the five star rating!!

We just stopped here on the way through Ontario. It was amazing all around! Food was great,came out quick and was fresh and hot.atmosphere was super comfortable,staff was down to earth, attentive and so nice and Bob even came to meet and speak with everyone. They have colouring pages for kids and the walls are full of littles art work. We will for sure make this a regular stop while travelling!

We ate here on vacation. I will definitely come back next time we are in Kenora! The staff was kind and friendly. Bob even came out to ask how our food was. My husband had the Fat Bob Burger and I had the Honey Dill wrap. Both were fantastic. We shared a basket of poutine and it was the best poutine we found on our trip!

Day trip from Winnipeg. Lunch time and we decided to try Bobs out. I had the Smokehouse Burger and my Mrs. had the Cranberry Wrap. We also had fries and gravy on the side. Huge portions, highly recommended. We will be back!

The veggie burger was certainly great but what made our experience exceptional was the kind service by Bob himself and very polite and thoughtful Morgan. Bob, Morgan and awesome staff at Bob s made our day. Thanks guys

I must say Ive read the 1 star reviews and nothing these people have said has been anything close to what Ive experienced at Bobs the many many times weve been there... we drive 2 hours from Winnipeg just to eat here... food and service has not been anything less than spectacular! How many places can you go in that the owner knows his customers and will ask about your family from the one time he has met them. All the pictures the kids color always have a place on his wall I know my kids colored pics 4 years ago and they are still displayed proudly. It frustrates me to no end that anyone would have an unkind word about the staff or the awesome food that is cooked. Bob has gone above and beyond we showed up one day last year was 5 of us they were closing but Bob came out with a smile on his face and graciously took our order and made an exception for us. Bob has brought bowls of water for my daughters stuffed puppy dogs just in case they were thirsty too. His customer service, his food and overall establishment is definitely the heart of Kenora. Im sorry Bob that these doughnut heads dont know what they are talking about about 1 or 2 stars. You keep doing what you do and giving the service you do thats what keeps people coming back. Its always a pleasure coming there and never had even close to a sub par meal.. keep shinning Bobs Burgers you are a fantastic family favorite. If you havent tried here GO you truly wont be disappointed. Give you my word.

Great food that doesn t break the bank ! Must try - fat bob burger with cheese. Service can be a little off sometimes as they re understaffed(unfortunately most businesses in Kenora struggle with that) but no complaints as they re always polite

Went here for lunch and the food was pretty good. I had the burger, surprise, and I thought it was a good burger. The French fires and onion rings were great. They serve alcohol which is great . We got to meet Bob and her was very nice. The place was very busy at lunch so you know it is fairly popular. They are open for dinner and have music at night sometimes. If you are looking for a good place to eat this is a good option.

Absolutely incredible food and an atmosphere to match! If you find yourself in Kenora I can not recommend a spot more than this one! I have never written a review but this place has sparked me to Dietary restrictions: I am a celiac unfortunately and I was met with gluten free options galore, which is very rare, down to the gravy was gluten free! Decided to stop in while waiting for our car to be ready my wife got the Thunder Crunch Sandwich which was awesome! I ve never seen her eat something so fast in my life! I tried the chicken bacon ranch wrap as per the suggestion of the kind waitress! Great wrap with awesome fries and gravy We will DEFINITELY be back! 5/5

Bob makes an awesome burger. The fries were excellent and coffee was good! The interior and the bar could use a revamping however with almost 2 years of spotty business due to Covid it is not too surprising. Hopefully this little eatery can get back to being the hot spot it was for live music. There are few venues that offer as much live music as Bobs at this time, so watch the Live Music in Kenora page on facebook for whats coming

The Fat Bob burger is pretty good but, perhaps the staff was having an off day. When you say it will be ready for takeout, with everything labelled, in 15 to 20 minutes and I come back in 16 minutes, dont roll your eyes and mutter, this is why we said 20 minutes. Because you didnt. That everything in the bag was not labeled is ok, but that the gravy was not included in the bag is not ok. Not impressed. Not a repeat.

It seems any time we order take-out in Kenora you get half the amount, than if you were dining in. Not with Bobs, you get a large amount of fries with your meal I mean a lot! Every time! Not too mention the burgers are always phenomenal and the home cut fries are to die for. I ll not waste my time and money ordering take out anywhere else.

Save your money and go to DQ. This place had a big time delay between me and my friends order even though our food was ordered back to back AND the same dish was ordered. The smokies /thistle dogs look like something I could make in 5 minutes at home buying Schneider s hot dogs from a grocery store. Overall it was a 17$ meal for a hot dog that should be 3.95. It was a big waste unfortunately.

While the menu sounds great our experience was so so, id love to give them another shot maybe not near closing but heres our experience 3 thistle dogs, all over cooked and dry 1 thunder crunch burger that was so overcooked its not shocking its called thunder crunch 1 - smokehouse burger, overcooked but had good flavor 1- Philip cheese steak. This was the star of the meal and gives me hope it was an off night Service was good and bad, its hard to say but the cook was super pushy to the waitress, the waitress was a doll just a little flustered with technology Overall a sold 3 out of 5, and like I said ill give them a shot next time I come through again if I have time

Cold beer, great food, great atmosphere.

This is a must go to place in Kenora. Great burger, great brew selection, Lake of the Woods on tap! But above all what I appreciated was the local friendly vibe, the wait staff were super chill and fun, and the owner was personable and involved. Will be back next time Im in town, I hear there is live music and a rotation of unique, must try burger offerings as well.

Bobs burgers Eh! I had the classic Bobs burger well prepared, staff was friendly had a good 15min talk with a staff member who grew up within walking distance of my house small world eh. A good place to grab a burger and a beer without spending to much.

This was the first place me and my partner stopped as we arrived in Kenora for our holiday. The view is spectacular and the server we had (Lindsay) was very friendly. We never had the chance to try the food, although, they were having a bbq special that day and it looked great. My partner was introduced to the local beer, Channel Marker and said it was the best summer beer hes had. My caesar wasnt the greatest as it lacked Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco and tasted more on the tomato side of liquid, not clamato juice. The payment process was a bit of a hassle as well. Cash only on the patio and only some drinks available, if you wanted any other drink, i.e, a cocktail, they had to go to the other bar a few stores down and make them. If you pay debit, you have to go to the sister bar as well to pay. Once that gets fixed, it would be a hot spot to spend an afternoon for sure. Will be back next time were through.

Very nice local burger place that seems to contribute a lot to the community. Very well priced and food overall was delicious. The smokehouse burger and poutine were both dishes that I tried and was quite pleased with. For those who care, they use dill pickles on their burgers. I took a star off, because they put onions in their burger patties (which I dislike). And they also got my order wrong, missing some of my toppings on my burger.

Friendly service and great food

My boyfriend and I stopped by recently and I have to say the food and service was excellent. The burger was large and incredibly flavorful, definitely one of the best Ive had in recent years. Bob really knows what hes doing. We had quite a large order with 2 burgers, 2 poutines, and chicken strips with fries and it was all done within 20 mintues. The waitress/bartender kind of caught me off guard with how friendly, professional, and sociable she was. Definitely made us feel welcome and the best service Ive had in years. I used to live in Kenora 12 years ago and that was the best meal Ive had since I started visiting again. This place will do just fine through the pandemic.

Good meal and very friendly serving staff. Ive been here a number of times and always had a good meal. They dont rush you and the meals are served in fairly good time, and not too fast so you get to enjoy your salad or drink while you wait. The serving staff were very attentive and topped up your drinks promptly after asking if you wished more The steak I ordered was perfectly done, just to my order and everything was served hot. Bob, the owner, stopped by to chat and see how our meal was. There is a real comfy home town type atmosphere. Ive been here a number of times and have never been disappointed by my meal or the service.

Great burger place the fatboy burger is good has chili, tomato, onion and lettuce. Burger was a little more cooked that I like it but still pretty juicy. The daily soup which was hamburger soup was tomato based with beef and veg was pretty good.

Best poutine in kenora Id say. One server gets a little too distracted sometimes and takes a while or forgets to bring the drinks. Not a big problem gives me more time to think about what to order sometimes. My husband gets something different everytime. I always go for the poutine. He loves the food

Food was excellent. Id eat there twice a day if I lived in kenora.

We had heard how good this place was so the next time we were in Kenora we made sure to stay for dinner. We came as a group of 10 (mix kids & adults) and everyone loved their meal even the picky eaters!!! The servers were excellent, wait time was reasonable, price is on par. We will definitely be back and will bring a larger group!!!

My parents have been raving about this place for months (they have a vacation home north of Kenora), so I decided to try Bob s while I was visiting them on my vacation. Wow. Was so impressed. Waitress knew my parents, Bob came over and knew them by name and remembered lots of details. Asked me where I worked and where I was from. And, I m 99% sure he cooked those burgers for us himself. We all ordered a Fat Bob with cheese, and we shared some avocado fries. Sooooo good, they do not make burgers like that in Toronto!!! Bought a Bob s Burger Bar t-shirt for myself and my boyfriend. Will be back (sadly it will probably be next year) but honestly, you gotta eat here. Way to go Bob!

Traveling in Kenora. This was the top non chain restaurant. Walked in and it seemed a little low budget but hey it wouldn t be the first time I entered a strange entrance and got excellent food. We were seated by Bob himself. We chatted and he made some recommendations and gave us the low down on what to pick. The special was ribs this night and the soup was homemade pea soup. I ended up ordering the Fat Bob with pea soup. The burger was fantastic! It was juicy and tasty. Just the right amount of spill off the bun. The pea soup was really well done. Like other posters I did find that service was quite slow. When we were done my coworker wanted to have a chilli dog to go. It literally took 28 min to get a chilli dog to go. It was shame because up until then everything was great. I would have been happy to give a 5 star but this significant delay was the reason for four stars. I can only guess it is because all being fresh made. To be fair the waitress was super nice. ? Kitchen delays. I would go back though. And it was great to meet Bob himself.
