32 Lake Rd, Keswick CA12 5DQ, United Kingdom
Lake Road Brunch is Keswick's newest breakfast and brunch spot, serving the best brunch, pancakes and cocktails! Very dog friendly! Walk in tables and bookings available!
Went here today for some brunch, great food and service. Didn’t book a table but was still able to fit us in. Great coffee, best I’ve had so far.
What a fantastic lunch. Fish was amazing, and not a tiny portion. Partner had the salt beef and they did not scrimp on the beef. Tasted fantastic. Drinks were good too. Hot chocolate recommended.
Absolutely amazing brunch, food was great but service was even better. Staff were so friendly and helpful, made for such a lovely experience. So many places are let down by bad service but the staff here were really great. 10/10, would definitely recommend to anyone else visiting Keswick
always my favourite place for food in Keswick, lots of vegan and vegetarian options in both sweet and savoury! lovely staff and always a nice atmosphere.
Great food and so many delicious options- I had the iced chai latte and vegetarian full English breakfast and they were great! Would definitely come again
Visited today for brunch, drove an hour as the reviews were good and food looked lovely in pictures. Smashed avocado on toast was good however my partners breakfast was really disappointing. One of the sausages came out pink in the middle and when queried we were assured it was cooked and due to the seasoning, however the other sausage wasn’t like this. They had a really weird taste, the hash brown was burnt on the outside and also had a funny taste. The bacon was extremely fatty and didn’t have much meat on it. Spinach was watery and was left. The service was okay, we did wait around 30 minutes for our food to come out which we would have been happy to wait had the food have been good.
The food is ok and portions are in good size but nothing is outstanding. The vegan brekkie was watery and could be more seasoned. The pancakes were good, fluffy, and not too sweet. The pineapple mango smoothie was flavorful though. The service was quite slow as we sat down but the food came in good time once we got to order.
The most friendliest and warm welcome from the staff members. We rocked up without booking a table and got very lucky with getting a table outside. The food was 11/10. The smoothies were delicious and as were the hot drinks. One of the nicest hot chocolates I've had in a long time. It was nice trying the Indian pancake for breakfast as it was something so different and unique. Would definitely recommend and come back again but I do advise booking ahead.
Dropped in for brunch and this place was fantastic. Lovely welcome from the staff, comfortable atmosphere, quick service and the food was fantastic. Highly recommended
We chose the fruit & kinder stack of pancakes and they were delicious, great portion size too. All the staff are really friendly and the service was quick. Definitely recommend and next time we re in the lakes we will be revisiting!
Great brunch food!
SCAM WARNING!! This place routinely double charges customers and will not respond to a request for refunds for the additional charges. I would avoid at all costs.
Small cafe with outdoor seating. Extensive veggie and vegan options and a few meat dishes.. friendly staff. Gets very busy. Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie and vegan options
Great food, incredibly friendly, helpful service and a beautiful venue. We throughly enjoyed our visit!!
Highly recommend the food and the staff! My husband had the fiered chicken stack and berry go round smoothy, the smoothy was lovely and fresh. Not sweet like many pre bottled juices. I had the salt beef bagel from the normal menu with a Matcha Latte and can happily say it was one of the nicest matcha lattes I have had. We sat outside I we had 4 wet bordercollies with us and the staff were very good with them when delivering the food. Polite, friendly and sensible so our boys stayed settled and we could enjoy our amazing lunch.
The hot chocolate is delicious, but it feels overdone, and its not delicious enough to eat. The 20% VAT is really high. This is just a brunch.
Stopped here for breakfast. There was a queue which was to be expected for a Sunday morning. The waitress was lovely and explained we could sit at a table outside and have a drink whilst we waited. Once we were sat inside we had our drinks and food both of which were good. Would definitely recommend
Great food and friendly staff
Really lovely atmosphere and the pancakes were delicious. We visited two days in a row during our stay in the Lakes. Highly recommend and will definitely visit again and try the savoury meals.
Delicious breakfast - salt beef and poached eggs - and did not need any lunch that day either. Next time Im in the lakes, ill try and make it back here.
Loved it, the food was a pleasant change, the staff incredibly kind and a great location too.
I can t recommend this place highly enough. We went for a celebration brunch for my sister s 50th with a group of friends and it was fantastic. The menu has something for everyone - there was so much we all fancied trying! The decor is lovely and the atmosphere was really chilled and relaxed. The staff were FANTASTIC! They couldn t do enough for us, they were efficient, friendly and just lovely. Highly recommended
Great brunch and friendly staff. Love that this place is dog friendly too. Would highly recommend. All the food was super fresh.
Excellent food and service, 100% worth booking in advance to be sure of a table!
11/10! Best pancakes ever and staff were great too, cant wait to come back again soon
Perfect in every detail
One of the best brunches I ve had anywhere. Dog friendly
Brilliant food and place. Staff were very nice and accomodating. Their sausage is a must try.
Lovely food, gets busy quickly (not surprising) fantastic staff.
Literally no better place to eat in the Lake District. A must at least once per visit to the lakes! If I could leave more than one review I would.
The one thing I have to compliment the most is the staff, the girls were so friendly, kind and helpful. It was such a busy day and busy business, and I can imagine it can get so stressful, as someone who works in a busy retail environment I know how easy it is to get stressed and overwhelmed by a busy day, but the girls were exemplary. I have never had such lovely service in a smaller business. The girls constantly kept us up to date on when we would be moved from an outside table to indoor, and even advised us on what was the better table to sit at due to a chatty customer, I found this so genuine and funny. The food was fantastic, and I cant find fault with the whole experience. Credit to the team all round. Thank you for such a nice experience.
Salt beef bagel with sweet potato fries on a Sunday morning. Nowt better! My fav place for brekkie in Keswick now. I d advise to reserve a table as people are prepared to queue to get a table. I m a fussy get and the food is just top drawer.
This would be our 3rd time. Ate here twice and tried some items on the menu. Not all good - English breakfast was so so; salted beef bagel (corned beef) so so; special pancake nothing special, lamb kofta was too sour. My kids liked the shakshuka, and croque madame. Our last day at lakes, we drove 1 hr to make there at 250pm (close at 3pm) because our kids want to eat the two things they liked. Along the way, my kids were worried we couldn t get there before 3pm. We did get there 10 mins before kitchen stops taking orders. We were told sorry as they only had table for 2 . I told the waitress that we were traveling back oversea tomorrow and we just drove here because my children would like to have a meal. I asked can I do take out? No, we don t do it because kitchen is busy (I can t imagine that is a valid reason since we are the last customers of the day). I saw there are tables outside (there was not raining at that time) can we sit outside? No, we don t serve food in the rain . There are empty tables - just not having one big enough for 4. My kids got embarrassed abt their mom trying to get us in. They asked me to go somewhere else. We come back lakes every year. I am sure they are not lack of business which could explain the attitude. They won t have our business for sure.
Food was outstanding, by far the best we have had in Keswick. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the food and cocktails. The place was immaculate and I have no problem at all in recommending.
Grabbed a table outside this lovely little place. Really warm and cheerful staff and a great menu! Had a Bloody Mary (perfectly made) and a stack of pancakes to share with tonnes of chocolate and strawberries! Highly recommended.
Worst kept secret ever this place is great !
cannot recommend LRB more. the staff are so nice and professional, really on the ball. and the food is so good! I had the salt beef hash and kale smoothie, both were delicious. Great, relaxed, cheery atmosphere. I was impressed how well the servers performed given the high traffic and fast turnover of customers coming and going. Vegetarian options: Vegan options are extensive and they supply a separate paper menu for the vegan food, which I *wish* more places would do, its so much easier to parse as a customer.
We ordered chicken skewers, chickpea chole, lamb keema, panipuri, tarka dhal, Goan fish, onion bhaji and parotas Onion bhaji is the only saving grace I am afraid and it appears nobody cooking in kitchen is Indian I think. So the outcome. We were very hungry, so just ate what we got. I will never come back and nor I will recommend anyone about this place. Young lady serving us was very sweet and pleasant.
Delicious food, lovely staff and very nice coffee - really great spot
Been here around half a dozen times for breakfast while holidaying in Keswick. Never disappoints.
Really lovely food! Lactose free options not marked on menu, but staff were really helpful and knowledgeable about what meals were suitable. Alternative options offered if you remove items from the big breakfast Dietary restrictions: Good selection for vegan and lactose free options. Also seemed to be lots of gluten free options
Absolutely gorgeous pancakes with bacon and maple syrup
2nd year visiting for breakfast, our dog Lola Loves her doggy sausage! The fried breakfast, salted beef, my favourite is forest fruit pancake stack . The staff are so friendly and welcoming including our pooch. Looking forward to next year!
The vegan options are excellent. I visited with my partner; the reason we chose LRB is because they have options that are refreshing and different. We ordered the vegan hash and vegan brekkie. The food was absolutely outstanding. It had so much flavour and a lovely hint of spices that were perfectly balanced. Upon talking to the staff - who were all very friendly and accommodating - we discovered the owners partner is vegan, that is 100% reflected in the quality and thought put into their dishes. I would visit here frequently if I lived close enough! LRB is extremely popular, so youre best either booking a table in advance or going at a quieter time. I read another review that mentioned its worth waiting the 10-15 minutes it would take to secure a table, and I agree wholeheartedly. I cant recommend this place enough - thank you for such a lovely experience!
Such friendly staff and delicious berry pancakes - I love berry compote and I was very pleased to discover that it was layered between the pancakes like a cake! As it was busy I was given a little bench table by the window which was brilliant for me, such a lovely view. Would definitely return.
Lovely food. Very expensive tho. £15 for a slice of toast with avo, 2 eggs and 2 strips of salmon.
Amazing food. Masala dosa and avocado both were awesome. Very unique
Fantastic coffee & 1st class food. Brilliant place
Wouldn t bother coming here again. The decor and atmosphere was nice, but the servers were so run off their feet it felt that it was just an in and out system! We both had a full english and left half of it. One of the poached eggs was served with the egg white completley detatched from the yolk, the hash brown and toast were so over done it was difficult to eat, same with the bacon. The sausage tasted funny and the mushroom/tomato were cold. Very disappointing, the only saving grace was the iced matcha was ok. Think twice before booking on a busy day I d say!
The most awful experience, absolutely no manners. Walked into to the cafe and middle aged man serving tables was acting as though he was on the front line of world war 3 fanatically telling me they had no seats and would have to wait 30 mins. Believe it or not I still gave him benefit of the doubt and said that s okay we will wait, from outside I could see two tables empty. I politely(considering he as already spoken to me with such distaste) mentioned oh there are a few free tables upstairs thinking maybe he hasn t seen them for him to raise his voice and tell me they aren t taking walk ins and to let him do his job may I remind you this is middle aged man(not a teenager) . I felt more embarrassed for him as the customers who were seated were shocked at how he spoke. Do not recommend .
Went for a birthday brunch. Luckily we got a walk in table as it always seems to be busy. A good sign Highly recommend the pancakes . The service was friendly and fast considering how busy they were. Will definitely be visiting again. Food
Best breakfast in the Lake District no doubt. Can t fault it. 10/10
Amazing pancake stack served by always friendly happy staff.
This is the best place in Keswick for a vegan or vegetarian breakfast. And great coffee! Fast and friendly service too from their lovely team.
Best fry up I ve ever eaten. And the pancakes are amazing. Lovely staff too!
Bloody brilliant, food was extremely good, as was the service and atmosphere. if we are in the area again we will absolutely visit. Kid-friendliness: We had our very young (16 weeks) daughter with us. Everyone made us feel very welcome.
High end vegan breakfast/brunch with excellent cocktails. Proper bloody Marys! Try the marmalade martini vegan hash was nice and the cooked brekkie has everything! Huge portions too. Nice decor Dietary restrictions: Tofu scramble, this isnt bacon, margarine, oat milk, possibly meatless farm or other sausages.
Great pancakes, good staff, very dog friendly
Delicious biscoff & banana pancakes, lovely atmosphere and very dog friendly 10/10 would recommend
Lovey staff and great coffee and food (the shakshuka was delicious!) Have been a couple of times and will be back! Food : 5/5
yummy pancakes and prompt service, a very pleasant experience, thank you!
Amazing Vegan options, staff couldnt do enough for you, we will be back
Excellent. Enjoyed the berry smoothie and the biscoff pancakes, with add on bacon and maple syrup.
Great food and service and at a reasonable price
Lovely place. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and the food was absolutely amazing, especially the croque madame!
Great pancakes! Fresh pancakes, salty bacon and good maple syrup. Definitely worth a visit
Outstanding lunch - a worthy stop on the halfway point of day one C2C. Really delicious & healthy menu options & the staff couldn t be more helpful. I had the Turkish eggs special and they were phenomenal. Highly recommend Food : 5/5 |
Really good coffee Food never fails to please (and weve tried most things off the menu!!! Lovely staff always Food : 5/5
Absolutely love this brunch spot. It can be quite busy but its well worth getting a table. There is loads of choice on the menu - myself and my friend each got the pancakes. The biscoff pancakes were incredible. Big food portions, lovely hot drinks. Brilliant and friendly service. We also got a 10% off voucher for the Indian Tapas restaurant thats in the building in the evenings. I just wish I lived closer to Keswick !
Lovely food, nice atmosphere. Would be keen to try their evening Indian street food too!
A must go for a start to your day, breakfast is fab, and the staff are lovely, welcoming and friendly.
Bubbly great service. Very good food. Nice welcoming environment.
as always absolutely delicious
Superb find for breakfast. The food was glorious, the staff very friendly and attentive, the place itself lovely an clean and nicely presented. Dog friendly too. An easy 5 stars. The staff did all insist on using the word guys at the end of every sentence, not really a valid reason to grumble
I can understand why this place has such great reviews! Super tasty food, decorated lovely and super friendly service I went for the passion fruit smoothie which was very refreshing I also got the eggs Benedict with streaky bacon and added a hash brown. Super yummy food and brilliant portions. If your staying in Keswick, this place is a must.
Brilliant vegan breakfast. Everything was seasoned so well and tasteful, I didnt even need to reach for the salt and pepper. Great spot for any vegetarian/vegans visiting Keswick. Super filling and doesnt leave you heavy. Great attentive staff and warm atmosphere.
Superb brekkie and pancakes. Everything was faultless, cant wait to come back
A true gem in Keswick, LRB ticked a lot of boxes for me as it had vegan options and was also dog friendly. The breakfast I had didn t disappoint! The staff were also incredibly attentive. Wouldn t hesitate to visit again when I m next in the Lakes.
Staff were lovely, no faults. Came last year and had a great brunch so came back when we were in the area. Got a full English with black pudding, the chef served borderline raw black pudding (which the staff happily took off the bill) and sausages which were pink (which I m okay with because i m an animal) but definitely weren t cooked to legal temps. Avoid the full English, i ve had better at a Spoons - get the Benedict which looked great.
Stumbled upon this cafe after a long walk. Lovely place, staff & food
Fantastic place for brunch
Tucked round the back of Keswick this super friendly indie coffee shop is a defo destination for Saturday breakie, great vibe & decent menu - home from home Hackney - by pass the high street and come down here PS try the salt beef
Lovely food, great service. Strong smooth coffee. Travelled from Yorkshire, missed breakfast and fancied something different. So glad we found this place. The beef hash really hit the spot. Highly recommended. Food
Best breakfast in Keswick. Beautifully presented, fresh ingredients, warm friendly service.
The most outrageously fluffy pancakes, best brunch place ive been to, will be going again
one of the best breakfasts Ive had, the staff were so sweet and really welcoming, an amazing atmosphere and a great way to start a day in the Lake District, really recommend
What a lovely little place! We decided last minute to try and eat here, and were able to get seated immediately despite not having a booking. The LRB brekky was super tasty, I loved the homemade hash brown it was so different to what you d usually expect. I have to admit the pancake stacks also looked lovely, so will have to visit again to try these out :)
We really enjoyed our vegan breakfast here. We were welcomed and attended to immediately upon entering. The food was tasty and the place had an upbeat, positive vibes. I would happily return. 5 stars once the menu is all plant-based!
Came here with a large group (9) and the staff were super accommodating. The food was delicious and prepared quickly. The coffee was excellent and I highly recommend the LRB brekkie!
Heaven on a plate.
Excellent as ever, excellent staff, fantastic food, highly recommend booking in advance! Bloody Mary was excellent too!!
THE place to go for brunch in Keswick. Just what the town needed, a trendy, modern establishment which caters for all ages, whether its after a fell walk or just a Sunday morning breakfast. Wouldnt go anywhere else.
Delicious food and excellent drinks. Impeccable service and very nicely decorated shop.
amazing food and coffee
Really lovely place for brunch. The staff were lively and charming, the food was 10/10 and the birthday mimosa made the whole experience. Would definitely recommend.
Went for the first time today and what a great place, really friendly staff and very nice and high quality food, pup enjoyed a doggie sausage and a pupiccino too highly recommend this little place
Absolutely superb venue for food - what a find! The pancakes were sublime and so fluffy and light and the Croque Madame was incredible. One of the best breakfast/lunch meals I ve had in a while. 10/10 in all respects. Will visit again!
Great food, food was just too good and very nicely presented. But most importantly their service, the lady who served us was very helpful and welcoming.
Food was lovely but it is expensive - I suppose thats Keswick for you. May be unfair to say this but being dog friendly and family friendly means that the two times we visited, there were dog fights going on under the table next to us and screaming kids on both occasions. Maybe the owners could put up a sign about appropriate behaviour as it made both times we visited quite stressful and we would consider not returning.
Absolutely lush. Perfect food. Perfect venue. Perfect for dogs. U think it was perfect
This cafe was a great find. Friendly and welcoming service, a separate vegan menu (and dog menu too!) and probably the most delicious vegan breakfast i ve ever had seeded sourdough toast topped with smashed avocado, dukkah, pomegranate and peas shoots. Delicious mix of flavours. Coffee excellent too. Vegetarian options: excellent vegan options Dietary restrictions: excellent vegan menu Kid-friendliness: very friendly to anyone who walks through the door!
Excellent venue with great food and fantastic staff. Usually busy so best to book online, recommended.
Excellent and friendly service. Delicious coffee and some of the best pancakes weve ever had. Vegan and vegetarian options for those in our party who wanted to swap out the meat. Recommended and will visit again. Dietary restrictions: Vegan menu and options
Perfect breakfast/brunch spot. Really good food and drinks. The wait staff was also wonderful.
Very friendly staff and an excellent brunch spot to end our visit to the lakes. Plenty of veggie options too! Food : 5/5
I mean wow! Great service, lovely place to sit. Pancakes were out of this world. Made our mummy and daughter brekkie a great time Kid-friendliness: Daughter loved the pancakes.
Wonderful food and coffee. This place is extremely popular but definitely worth the wait for a table. Special mention for the amazing Masala Dosa - a feast for the eyes and the tum
If you like breakfast/brunch then this is the place for you! A lovely environment with a warm atmosphere. The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. Absolutely great menu full of amazing brunch dishes to suit everyone! The food was delicious and washed down with a nice coffee. Cant recommend this place enough!
Lovely staff, nice music and delicious food!
Delicious food and the coffee. Service and atmosphere are very welcoming. Great place for a brunch!
A favourite breakfast (post walk!) stop for us, love the classic pancake stack. Also love how cheerful and helpful the staff are. See you in the summer!
Amazing food and great service. We didn t book a table and managed to get in but they turned a lot of people away as we were sat down so booking is highly recommended. Very dog friendly too
We felt very welcome as soon as we walked in. My friend has a sesame allergy and the staff were very helpful regarding what she could eat/drink from the menu. The homemade granola was delicious!
Early morning breakfast. Interesting home cooked options offering something a bit different to beans, egg and bacon (although available). Staff were great, looking forward to coming back
Great place. Booked in for 11:30 was quiet but picked up shortly after. Food selection was great . Good vegetarian and vegan options. Good balance of savoury and sweet dishes. Coffee and smoothies were delightful. Nice decor with bright and airy feel . Friendly and quick service. Looking for brunch? Look no further ! Vegetarian options: Most of the menu was vegetarian friendly. Dietary restrictions: have a fully seperate vegan menu to make it easier to see what options are available. To save having to scan the menu or ask what options there are.
Very friendly and accommodating, best brunch we ve ever had. So good!
Great find in Keswick. Lots of vegan options and very friendly staff. The homemade hashbrowns were fantastic. Food : 5/5
Disappointingly rude service. We had such high hopes for this place after seeing great reviews, but unfortunately were made to very uncomfortable. Staff were rudely gossiping about guests within earshot and all around not a pleasant environment. Real shame as the food and drinks were tasty.
Had the eggs Benedict with salmon, really tasty lovely place
Fabulous breakfast and coffee. Lovely staff too
Never miss the chance to eat some of the best pancakes and coffee.
The guy who served us had great front of house skills and the food and beverages we got were excellent, sadly the next day when we tried to visit we got someone else and couldnt get seated, and the result of how we were treated meant we didnt get to try the food a second time. Shame really, food was excellent as was the atmosphere, our dog enjoyed his eggs too! I guess everyone has an off day sometimes. If you can get in its worth a visit!
Nice little cafe near the park. Perfect for brunch, as the name suggests
pancakes
This place is AMAZING. Me and a few friends came here early and managed to get a table for four. The customer service here is second to none. I didnt get the guys name who was hosting but he was so energetic and pleasant he went above and beyond to provide a superb experience, nothing was too much trouble for him. As for the food.. wow. We all had pancake stacks and they were incredible. I personally had the Nutella and strawberry stack and I didnt want it to end. Unbelievable quality ingredients. This was reiterated in their drinks, coffee and smoothies are insane. The prices here are spot on for the quality of food and drink you get. I saw other peoples full breakfasts and they looked amazing too. I also passed this place on the evening and it looked booming when its a bar at night! When I next come back to Keswick I will be coming straight back for Lake Road Brunch. Edit: I came back here and again all the food and service was great. Only downside this time was one of the girls working had the longest hair down, kept mostly on her front while serving food. In terms of food services this is a big no besides that, it was great.
Possibly the best breakfast I ve ever had. Food was amazing, kids had pancakes that were perfect and the the LRB Brekkie was top quality with great presentation. Service was fantastic and really accommodating and friendly, well worth the money, will be back again.
Friendly staff, amazing food! Id recommend booking to avoid disappointment. Try the Masala Dosa! Delicious!! Vegetarian options: Good range of vegetarian options, including the Masala Dosa! Kid-friendliness: Friendly to kids. Dont think they have a specific kids menu (could be wrong but we didnt see / werent offered one). The food is so delicious though, our 2 (aged 10 and 7) ate adults portions no problem! Apparently they have a dog menu though
Great food, staff and location plus atmosphere. Nice and chill. Parking: Parking in the shared public car parks around town, only a few minutes walk. Food : 5/5 |
Really hearty warming food.....beautiful meal!
Had LRB Brekkie there. NGL, I had tried ~5 full english breakfast during the UK trip and this is the BEST. The service was nice as well.
Lovely cosy little spot with friendly staff. I was surprised to find masala dosa on the menu, it s one of my favourite meals so I had to try it and it was delicious! Only minor gripe is that even though I like dogs, it s becoming a little frustrating the way so many restaurants allow them. I don t feel entirely comfortable eating with dogs roaming around. But it s not enough to put me off coming here again, which I ll definitely do as I come to Keswick fairly often.
The feel of this place was absolutely outstanding. Relaxed and chill, perfect for brunch. Tucked away from the busier main street. The food was amazing, with perfect balance of flavours and presented wonderfully. If Im back in Keswick, this will be my first spot to come to. Food
Up there with the best and fluffiest pancakes I ve had (and I m American!) kale smoothie also a very nice addition
The staff were friendly and helpful. I need to eat gluten free, so they adapted the lamb kofta and I have to say it was delicious as was my husbands Shakshuka. Definitely recommend. Thank you LRB
First time visiting here a few weeks ago! Staff were friendly, service was quick and food was exceptional. Only thing I would say is that I think some things were a little overpriced, for example, having to pay an extra £2.50 for the sweet potato fries when the sandwich alone was already £10!
Love this place so much! Foods are delicious, especially the pancakes, and the services are so friendly. You made my day!
Visited today before we had to head home from a week in The Lakes, Im so glad we did visit. Id been wanting to go since walking past on our first day there, the food was amazing and such friendly team, really felt like they all enjoyed being at work.
An excellent cafe in Keswick with lots of delicious vegetarian options- the customer service, ambience and food were brilliant. I would highly recommend visiting, thank you for a lovely breakfast!
Great service ...cheerfully happy chatty staff..enjoyed our food experience..a joy to sit out sunny day..Will call again..good to see a busy business
Lovely eggs benedict with bacon and a mild Chipotle sauce
Such a great vibe here. Staff lovely. Food was to die for. We had the croque Madame and pancakes with syrup and bacon. Both were amazing and would happily get again. Great decor and tables both inside and out
Lovely place and food.
Great gluten free options - Dosa was amazing! Puppy enjoyed his doggy brunch too
This is a great cafe, with quick friendly service from the staff. The food is lovely and caters to all dietary needs. The decor is really nice. Ill definitely go again.
Eaten here a couple of times and very impressed. Sourdough toast is to die for.
Best brunch Ive had, Fried chicken, perfect pancakes and sriracha maple syrup...yes please
Food is genuinely excellent and service is first class. Hash browns 10/10 too.
This is a very good place to have breakfast. The food is excellent and the coffee delicious. Small downside, the service a little long and the staff a little cold.
Best breakfast in Keswick
Amazing vegan breakfast options - great smoothies - staff all really friendly.get there early for breakfast if you haven t booked - it s very popular!
Delicious vegan English breakfast / brunch and friendly staff. Vegetarian options: Best vegan English breakfast Ive had. Food : 5/5 |
Food was stunning and the staff are really friendly.
2nd time I have been here food is super delicious iced mocha was nice and refreshing on a hot day staff are really friendly can t wait to return for more good food. Don t hesitate to visit but book a table as it is popular.
Possibly the best sandwich and most unexpected Ive had in a very long time! Excellent. Staff were also lovely. Highly recommend
Best place in Keswick for a spot of brunch. The food is outstanding, service is impeccable and just all round vibe is awesome. We come here every time we visit the lakes and will always be back.
Charming little place for a bite to eat - quick service, staff were extremely friendly. Very impressed, would highly recommend visiting. I wish we would have gone back in for the pancakes! Vegetarian options: Great veggie options and a whole separate vegan menu too!
Lovely wee place friendly staff , dog friendly too
We found LRB just while looking for food the night before and the pictures looked good so we booked a table. Glad we did as it was fully booked and people couldn t get in without a booking and that was the best decision of the day - food was amazing, customer service was top tier. Friendly staff, very helpful and fast service. We ll definitely be going back next time we visit the lakes! Parking: Car park literally round the corner - very easy to get to!
Wonderful new find!
Went for breakfast, the menu looked great with a few slightly unusual options. It didn t disappoint, we were a party of 6 and every dish was delicious. Staff were really friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere/decor was spot on. A definite must visit, we will return!
Great service and incredible food and coffee. Kid-friendliness: Kids were very comfortable there Food : 5/5 |
Lovely place not far from the lake. The pancake stack are amazing. The nojito is a,delicious refreshing non alcoholic drink. Fruit smoothie also excellent choice.Good menu selection, vegetarian options available. Friendly ,welcoming staff.
We love it here. Visited a couple of years ago and remember it being super so we booked a table for 6 for brunch this time. A great menu with options for everyone. I went for the lamb kofta flatbread this time and it was delicious (although it was missing the pomegranate... but the staff were lovely so Ill forgive them)! Its all presented beautifully and not as expensive as it could be either. Definitely worth a visit.
Good food, friendly service. Prices are a bit high, but it s the same everywhere in the Lake District.
Really tasty food..never had Indian street food before so was very different to normal Indian...and I mystcadmut I preferred. The bhaji was lovely need to add we had evening dinner....barua
We came here last year and booked in advance to come back. Really nice Vegan BLT but the salt beef bagel is amazing.
A very charming place to stop by for a quick and delicious brunch. We enjoyed the egg benny and the smoothies. Highly recommend!
Well what can I say our breakfast was amazing, best we have ever had, Shakshuka for me & salt beef hash for my partner, will definitely be returning next time we are back in Keswick
We had a wonderful experience at Lake road brunch! Greeted with a friendly welcome and offered vegan menus which we were very happy to see. We went for the classic pancakes and biscoff pancakes to share. Both vegan options and both DELICIOUS! Overall, great service and great food. Will save it for our next visit to Keswick thank you!
Friendly staff, delicious food - been a few times now for brunch and always a tasty meal
First rate food and service, would 100% recommend! We tried several different places before discovering this little gem, we ll definitely be back!!
We visited twice and had some excellent street food and a fine brunch. Our evening visit was the favourite of the two as we tucked into tasty puri and shared some Pinotage. Food : 4/5
Absolutely lovely people. I ve got a nut allergy and they were absolute gems and so helpful. Delicious food and coffee. Brother says the BEST caramel latte he s had.
Decent coffee. Food looks good. Good atmosphere
Great deal at Kewsick.
Great menu. Lovely smoothies. Dishes tasted perfect. Coffee hit the mark. Staff were faultless. Well done LRB.
AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING. Highly recommend. It is off the beaten track, but the food, service, atmosphere, everything. AMAZING. Dog friendly with a dog menu, dog bowls provided by staff. We had pancakes for 4 people, with iced coffees and a puppocino for the doggo. We cant wait to come back.
Amazing place for breakfast (but should come early, as it is very popular). Very nice food and atmosphere, reservation is not mandatory but very useful to get a place on a second floor. Food is amazing. Vegetarian options: Plenty vegan and vegetarian options, but I believe pancakes are not vegan.
A great experience highly recommend
Came for a late breakfast before a day out. The food was excellent and the staff were lovely. Obviously very popular too, as the place was busy with a good atmosphere. Would recommend and come back next time Im visiting Keswick. Vegetarian options: There are opinions Parking: Central car park is right next door. Kid-friendliness: High chairs available
Literally the best breakfast I had for a while! Service was amazing. Will definitely come back Vegetarian options: Theres a separate vegan menu!
Just popped in for a quick lunch. The staff were very friendly and quick to serve us, coffee was great, food came out really quick and the salt beef hash was INCREDIBLE!
Best brunch we had for a long time and somehow the service was even better than the food! Dont miss this gem!
Lake Road Brunch in Keswick is a lovely place to stop, fresh ingredients and warm/friendly staff. Plus it s then only a short walk to Friars Crag for a beautiful view of Derwentwater.
Absolutely unreal breakfast & service ! The staff are all so friendly and it was just an all round great time we had. We didn t have to reserve for a table of 6 which isn t something that is normally easy so thank you so so much !!
Food is pretty mega. Coffee was great. Staff were cool. Decor is neat. Prices seemed fair. Seemed to be dog friendly if that s your thing. Vegetarian options: Plenty of Veggie options. Dietary restrictions: GF was catered for, partner was pretty stoked at the array of options.
Fantastic find. Good food and good service. Very popular so had to wait for a seat. Will come back when next in area on holiday
Dropped in on the off chance we could grab breakfast. This place then became very busy, we time this so so well. Very popular place and has every reason to be. Food was amazing and the hash brown was fabulous
Excellent place and would go again and recommend. I had the Salt Beef Hash and my wife had the Salt Beef Eggs Benny. Both dishes were very good as was the salt beef. Very well cooked, nicely presented and good portions. Reasonably priced considering the quality. The service was very friendly too.
We had a really wonderful brunch here with great service! We had the classic stack of pancakes which were light, fluffy and delicious with plenty of maple syrup and bacon. And the classic breakfast was fresh, non greasy and delicious. Star of the show was the homemade hash brown! Definitely would go again, thank you! Dietary restrictions: There were good gluten free options and they explained potential contamination well.
Fantastic menu, lots of unusual items which were all really well cooked. Probably go again whilst we are staying.
Amazing!!! Food was perfect. Loads of vegetarian and vegan options. Delicious too. Staff were brilliant!
Been here 3 times as a group of four and every time everyone was very happy. Weve had a wide selection of choices from a salt beef bagel to waffles and from a dosa to a croque madame. Everything is always great. If I was to pick fault, the single toilet isnt ideal and being a dog friendly place leaves you somewhat at the mercy of the courtesy of dog owners. There is always one isnt there!
Really enjoyed lunch today for daughter birthday, Xmas dish very tasty
Fantastic place. Super friendly staff. We were served by a lad called Will, who was lovely. 7 people in the group and everyone was very happy with their food. I had the sticky toffee pancake stack, which was amazing. Food
Gorgeous breakfast! The hash browns are like none Ive had before. Fresh tasty produce.
The food was gorgeous!
Cant comment on food, however staff were rude so we left. Whilst we were told there was no tables available and we got seated at the high chair seating next to the door, a couple arriving 2 mins after us got the empty table right next to us. We did not even want to argue so we left but they told us the most ridiculous excise. Work on your ethic!
