Very quiet, calm atmosphere on a Monday night. Drinks were fantastic - highly recommend the Caesar. Food was decent. The calamari tasted fine, the chicken souvlaki was fine, but the desserts were pretty good. The downside were the truffle parm fries - they tasted like they were just topped with garlic powder, with no truffle nor parm taste. Also great service from Erica! We would come to Symposium often. However since under new management the food quality has gone way down. The staff seem unhappy and do their best to please customers. Today I convinced my husband to go for dinner here. And now I see why he NEVER wants to eat here anymore. He ordered a rice bowl that was supposed to have chicken in it and made a comment let s see how much chicken is in it. There was none!! He mentioned it to the waitress and chicken was then added. The fish and chip meal use to be such a good portion now it looks like one piece is cut in half to make the two piece meal. Needless to say very disappointing. The previous managers were so friendly and outgoing they really made you feel welcomed and appreciated your patronage. This is so unfortunate a once go to restaurant will soon be closing its doors if nothing improves. Oh and by the way spinach dip should have cheese in it not just spinach and oil! From a once loyal customer (no longer)

Sharon and her co-workers did a great job. The potatoes in my Spicerubbed chicken were over done, but the chicken and vegetables were great. My friend had pasta and enjoyed it. If you like peach favored drink, would strongly suggest trying the Peach Italian soda, is quiet nice.

Service was good. But food was disappointing. Strawberry Fruit Freezie drink wasn t even drinkable as it was just big chunks of ice that you couldn t even sip up with the straw. I think there were two strawberries in the whole glass. Zucchini Pasta was bland and watery. Cookie Supreme dessert tasted like a cheap, stale, no-name cookie. My daughter Mac & Cheese was probably the best food they brought and it was just average. I don t plan on going back. Vegetarian options: Limited selection and what they do offer wasn t very good tasting.

The food they present is always well-prepared and delicious; reliable meals for any time of the day with a wide selection. The restaurant is quite comfortable and relaxing, plenty of clean space without much noise to distract. One of my preferred places to stop at. Dietary restrictions: The menu has a wider variety of options than most other restaurants of this style. Parking: Plenty of parking available with several other boutique stores in the same plaza, larger chain stores nearby. Kid-friendliness: The Symposium staff have appeared accommodating and friendly to other families with all ages. Wheelchair accessibility: There is an Accessible Parking spot near the front door and no obstructions (curbs, thresholds.)

The restaurant has been taken over by new owners in last 2mths. And its a decline. Theres a new menu but the server iPads have not been updated. It caused so much confusion for ordering, the poor server felt so bad. It also resulted in over charges on our bills. The food quality has declined as well. The bacon is literally the microwave type, not good at all. The omelettes were overcooked.

New management is terrible. Food came cold. Wouldnt substitute the fruit for sliced tomatoes, charged me extra and then didnt give me the orange as if it was substituted. Coffee had no stir stick or spoon. Had to go up and ask for everything. Not A place i will return to. We would go every weekend. Been trying to go but everytime it is the same bad experience. This was the last time and people should know that this restaurant is way over priced because before you would pay more for the service and overall fine dining experience. Now I dont know how they justify it

The California chicken Sandwich tastes so good which was suggested by the sever and the mojitos are so refreshing. Shift manager is so good offer us have cakes and that s tastes so delicious

We had boycotted this place after a horrible visit last spring, which was unfortunate as this was one of our family dinner spots. Today I went online to see if there were any new reviews posted... There were and all about NEW management. Were here enjoying our breakfast!! What an amazing experience!! The staff - Shirin and her coworkers - gave us amazing service, and watching them all work together is great. The owner/manager even came over to see if everything was good. We definately will be coming back to our Keswick Symposium with the kids. So thankful for the turn around and breath of fresh friendly staff!!

Just had a great lunch. Western omelettes for me and my husband and treated ourselves to a bite of apple cinnamon square with vanilla icecream. Very nice server. She was polite and quick.

We came for dinner to celebrate my best friend s daughter after her dance recital. It was empty with only one other couple in the restaurant on a Sunday evening. Service started off fine, but then We never even got napkins/utensils, until asking for them at least 10 minutes after the kids food had already arrived. The Entree Cobb salad my friend ordered was missing most of the ingredients, and when we questioned it, they added random substitutions. It had absolutely no colour, except about 3 cherry tomatoes that were added. The boiled egg was so small. And the chicken on the salad was so rubbery and overcooked or artificial, didn t feel or taste like fresh chicken breast. For an entree , you expect it to be hardy, colourful, and appealing. It was not. I had ordered a side caeser salad with my meal, that came with no Parmesan cheese.. who has a Caesar salad with no cheese? They also never came to check up on us the whole time we were there, unless we called them. The kids got kids meals that come with deserts, and no one came to take their desert orders until we were finally able to get someone s attention. When they finally brought them, there was no apology or consideration that they made us wait so long. My friend did share her disappointment about the Cobb salad, which they did comp off the bill at least, but only after they could see she didn t have 2 bites. Was very disappointed in the service and food. The only reason for a 3 star is the atmosphere and cleanliness of the restaurant.

This past Sunday Symposium hosted breakfast for our family after our daughter s communion. We made a reservation for about 20 people. We showed up almost an hour early and we were expecting to wait but all the staff were waiting and ready for us. They were so welcoming from the moment we got there. The servers, Shirin and Jordan were absolutely fantastic. They were so quick and on top of everything. We had a ton of orders and again we expected the food to take a while to come out but they were so fast and the food was so fresh and delicious. We had a couple of requests to help make our daughter s communion breakfast special and the new owner was so accommodating and just a very nice and down to earth guy. Everyone at symposium made our daughters day perfect and all of our friends and family had a fantastic time. Thank you so much! Highly recommend a visit to Symposium!

Kudos to the new management!! The Symposium was a great place to go for many years. Over a year ago, new management took over and drove away all their customers and staff. Now thanks to the new managers, our lunch today was a such a pleasurable experience. Food was the same good quality, quantities were ample, wait time for service was excellent, the time between placing our food order and having it served was good, plus the friendliness and entire atmosphere and was so welcoming. Vegetarian options: My vegetarian omelet and home fries were excellent. Wheelchair accessibility: The accessible washroom is large enough for a person in a wheelchair plus an attendant to maneuver easily.

We just came to the Keswick location for dinner with our toddler. I have eaten at symposium previously in Brantford I worked out of town for 8 months and it was always amazing. This time was something else. Only one person working. The man who was our server unfortunately could not understand me or my wife stating what i wanted on my burger(willing to pay extra for cheese,mushrooms,bacon) but did not receive it.The food was very under par. Spinach dip was cold and the olive oil was pooling on top. I had the burger , which was ok , no cheese or extra toppings due to above. It fell apart on my plate. I had to put it on my poutine.my Wife had chicken sandwich ,she enjoyed it but again it was cold and got the wrong side. I had to get up twice to tell our server we needed napkins/condiments/our bill. Very disappointed due to telling my wife how good the food was at a different franchise locations. Will not be returning. Very frustrating and disappointing!!

Service was SLOW. Took 20mins after we ordered coffee and a cookie dessert to get our coffees. Coffees were luke warm by the time they reached us. Cookie was cold as waiter took a personal phone call in the middle of making our meal. No one else was in the restaurant. We were the only table. It s unfortunate because food is decent when served at proper temperature.

I want to start off with our server was wonderful! Very patient with our toddler and we were quite lucky the place was empty. That being said.. it was Sunday at 9am and the place was empty.. and dirty, like it hadn t been swept in days. The food though, not what it used to be. The portion was large but the bacon was Tim hortons grade and there is no storage of butter and not in a good way haha. The home fries, always good Not the greatest experience and definitely not the way it used to be. Kid-friendliness: The server was really nice and patient with our little girl. She is learning restaurant manners. He brought her some crayons and paper - standard but very thoughtful. He was patient with her because she s a toddler and interrupts every five seconds

Went for dinner with an old friend last night. Just looking for a spot to sit and catch up. Jordan our waiter was super attentive and sweet. The other gentleman who was there also popped over to check on us throughout the night (didn t get his name) I had the broccoli cheddar soup. The portion was quite large! My friend had the poutine which looked super gooey and cheesy! Cake for dessert as always - their selection is terrific. They are very community friendly, hosting open mic events regularly. Just a nice spot to grab a bite in a chill atmosphere.

All the food sucks the children wings tasted old the Alfredo pasta is not even real Alfredo its mushroom soupwith over cooked pasta really gross and the parmigiana is kraft saw dust if you want to get sick pay for over priced food and wait forever come here because you will get all 3 no one finished there food at my table everybody was very disappointed with the quality and taste of the food

Food was great, service was impeccable! Our waitress was always on top of us to ensure that we were happy with drinks, foods and even extra sauces!! Shes a dang good little sales person too, lol Vegetarian options: They have a whole menu catering to vegetarian and on Mondays, you get a free awesome desert if you eat vegetarian

We went for my husbands 60th bday dinner and weren t disappointed! The service was on point and the food was amazing. Thank you to our wonderful server and big high five to the chef for a memorable meal.

A friend & I met up for lunch at this location and it was fantastic- there was a new server being trained and she was amazing!! The owner came out after a few hours of chatting after our food and offered us a bottle of wine. Jojo you are a very sweet man! Will be going back the next time I m in town- strictly because of the service!

The first time I came here was for breakfast. I was the only person in here and the food took forty five minutes to arrive. It was eggs... I decided to give it another chance and they took forty five minutes yet again. I was also the only person there AGAIN. When they came out, they brought the smallest portion I have ever seen, suitable for a toddler. On top of that, the waiter was rude, had a thick accent and hearing problems and treated the waitress in training poorly. The food tasted ok but not worth the price.

Great place! We went for there Sunday evening Feb 18 for a family dinner. Good menu to meet the tastes of any age group. Service was very attentive and all our meals were tasty and well presented. Our servers were Jojo and Jhanvi. Very happy we visited this establishment.
