The Round in Keswick

Very happy with the burgers we had here, including the option to replace the bun with a salad which my wife really appreciated. Everything was cooked perfectly, and the garnishing with the burger, and fries, were all great. We had to wait a while to get in on a Friday night, but it was worth hanging about

A visit to Keswick is not complete without a meal from the round, great service followed by great food, i can recommend the whole menu twice!!

Called in today for lunch when they opened at 3pm, luckily we were near the front because the queue was long. The staff were amazing considering the place filled completely within 10 mins. Staff attentive and always smiling, food was served promptly and tasted lush. Definitely the place to go for a hearty burger.

The place is cosy, warm and clean. The staff is well organised and the hospitality was great. Would visit again. Highly recommended. Vegetarian options: They have mentioned that they have vegetarian and vegan options.

Went to this place for the first time this evening after reading amazing reviews. Was greeted by a pleasant member of staff on entering. No queue & offered a choice of two tables. Quick service to place our order. Food was served fast & it was presented so well & was so tasty & hot. Had a cocktail which was very nice. The decor & atmosphere is lovely. All staff very pleasant & efficient. Give this place a try you won t be disappointed.

A queue at the door had us worried, but they sat 9 of us surprisingly quickly. Food was incredible with no one at the table disappointed, drinks where also great after a day in the hills, especially the strawberry Daiquiri. The service was top tier and again for 9 people drinks and food where served very quickly for a busy Saturday night Fantastic options for veggie and vegan which was really nice to have as a primarily burger based theme. Could not recommend enough. I really like the Round in Keswick. The food is simple yet tasty. I find it is a little overrated but I do really like the atmosphere here. Unfortunately, you cant book here for dinner which is slightly annoying. Overall, I would highly recommend if you are in Keswick.

Went there on 30th November, beautiful window seat people watching drinking parachute drop and eating a fantastic chicken burger. Lovely atmosphere, delicious food and warm friendly service, a most enjoyable time with family.

Great burgers, really fast service, cheesy chips were amazing and so was the Mac and Cheese. Interesting burgers and the cocktails were really well made. Good relaxed atmosphere, its in a great spot in town. Lives up to the hype. Runs on a first come first served basis, so there can be big queues at busy times in peak season, worth the wait though. Vegetarian options: Good range of vegetarian and vegan options on the menu.

We visited the round as a family on a mini break to Keswick. Options to eat out in Keswick are rather limited and are typically pubs or the odd Italian pizzeria. We thought we would try this place as it had good reviews. We knew that we would have to queue in the evening but that the queue would go down quickly. We arrived at 7pm but had to wait about 30 mins outside and then an hour inside. Overall the food was good, but a little overpriced for what it was. The wait was longer than we would have liked. I would still recommend it though, but be aware of the potential wait time.

Great venue, fabulous staff and delicious food!

BRILLIANT!!! We would go back in a heart beat. All the staff were incredibly friendly and super accommodating. I was so pleasantly surprise that 99% of the menu was or could be gluten-free (GF beer too!). We all really enjoyed our food and can t wait to go back again.

Great food. Worth a visit if youre in Keswick. Its a walk in only, they dont take bookings. However the queue goes quickly.

Great food and service!

We had the Summits Burn and the Pullvellyn which was one of the best burgers and just what we needed after being on the road for so long! Alongside the melted cheese sauce crinkle cut fries, it made the perfect lunch The atmosphere was lovely with great use of colours in the decoration. Parking: There was a parking nearby and then a short walk to the shops and The Round.

We visited The Round as they offer four vegan burgers which all sounded great. I ordered a courgey pike and my husband the beet burger, crinkle and sweet potato fries. As soon as your order is taken they bring clearly labelled bottles of two vegan mayos to the table with ketchup. Our burgers arrived with a vegan label on top and looked absolutely gorgeous. The burgers were awesome, loads of flavour, lovely bread bun and we left not a morsel. Service was spot on too and The Round should be on everyones list to visit if you like burgers.

All the staff were very friendly and attentive, Gabe was particularly helpful. We had a Beet the Pack burger and a crispy chicken burger with chilli beef loaded fries. All excellent! We were able to make ammendments to the burgers to suit our tastes, which was great! The Beet the Pack is normally a vegetarian patty, but my partner fancied trying it with grilled chicken and wasnt disappointed. No pics as we were too hungry . We will be back.

I visited The Round with my husband, 11 year old, 9 year old and puppy. We all absolutely loved our meals. I am gluten intolerant and a vegetarian and had loads of choice on the menu. We will definitely visit again the next time we are in Keswick. Food

Absolutely amazing burgers, we have been before and they never disappoint. I would strongly recommend the Summits Burns its absolutely delicious. I would also say to get a side of crinkle cut chips as the burger alone might not fill you up. Our waitress was super friendly (we didnt catch her name) and made the whole experience that little bit better.

Queued up to get in but it was worth the wait, very tasty food and lovely staff and atmosphere. Very good vegan options as well!

Recently had a takeaway from the round. What a great service. Phoned answered within two rings and food ready for the time I asked. Burgers were unbelievable! We also had bacon and cheese fried and wow!!

The food quality is garbage , I had 2 burger with my wife for £11 each and the burger bread looks like from 3 weeks before and the price is super expensive , avoid this place. Junk Food

Simply the best burgers you ll find anywhere. An absolute must go to if you re in Keswick. Fantastic veggie options and dog friendly. Wonderfully friendly staff too. Can be busy but always get a table after a short drink at the bar.

Both service and food was fab!

My boyfriend and I ate here on a Saturday night, as hed been before and highly recommended it - and I can see why! The staff are all so kind, and the interior decor really cool! The burgers are super - I had the katsu chicken one and it was so tasty. The crinkle cut chips are to die for, and we absolutely loved the beef chilli nachos. The frozen cocktails are also a big plus! You cant book, so its first come first served, and we queued outside for a while, but cant complain as we werent rushed when inside. Would highly recommend.

Lovely place in the heart of Keswick, food was great and service from Kieran was fantastic. Welcoming staff and lively atmosphere, the personality of the restaurant and the pride of the location oozes through in all the decor and information around. Will absolutely be going back. Super tasty vegan burgers. The staff were so nice and helpful, even though it was a sorry busy night.

I had the basic vegan burger and sweet potatoes fries, My husband had the spicy vegan burger and normal fries and my 11yo had a bespoke vegan burger (because shes fussy!) It was the best burger I have ever had. You order fries separately and unless you have a very big appetite I would suggest sharing a portion of fries. We will definitely be back. Vegetarian options: They have the option to veganise lots of the burgers and the chocolate brownie is also vegan.

A little crowded but for good reason! The burger and loaded fries were amazing, however I was not a personal fan of the popcorn chicken and did not think they were worth the money. Overall a great experience, not priced too badly, and I would visit again!

Wasnt sure about the queuing system, but it was a short wait before being seated at the bar, excellent drinks selection, not long after we were shown to our table. Burgers were really good with lots of options I had the Ruben and it was everything I expected and more the crinkle fries are a taste sensation. At no point did we feel rushed and the staff were all really friendly.

Very busy ... be prepared to queue outside, saying that if your a group of 2 and at the back of the queue and only big groups in front of you they do get you in. Once in the staff are awesome and the food is equally great. Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. Overall a great experience..... We went twice on our 3 night stay !!!

Fabulous burgers. A must visit when you are in keswick.

Friday night for four people. A short wait, great food and drinks. Particularly enjoyed the Fully Loaded Nachos and the Fellstar Martini. We were served by Harriet, who provided amazing service throughout. She was attentive and noticed when we needed drinks etc. Our favourite eating place in Keswick.

Amazing food, great decor, and excellent staff!

Four adults (one of whom is in a wheelchair) and two dogs. The staff at The Round couldnt do enough to help. The food was amazing. There was a great choice of burgers to choose from and they tasted absolutely amazing. The loaded fries were so good! I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will return. Wheelchair accessibility: Level floors and plenty of space to manoeuvre a wheelchair.

I had an excellent meal here. Theres lots of funky burger creations to choose from and it was delicious! They even had Gluten free buns which was a bonus for my bf! Deffo will come back

The description says hamburger restaurant, which it is, but this undersells it. The front of house was amusing and efficient, the food was delicious and the cocktails really good. We had window seats onto the square and spent way too long drinking way too many cocktails and enjoyed every minute.

Burgers are delicious and so is the mac and cheese.

Definitely suggest going here if your a burger lover like me, All member of staff were very friendly and helpful, helped partner decide what to get with advice on flavours ect, Burger was cooked perfectly, the fries crispy and full over flavor, Definitely coming back next time I am in the lakes

A restaurant specializing in burgers that has fried and grilled meat and chicken. There is no reservation, but there is demand. We waited for our table 15 minutes. Truly amazing, a family of 7. Ages from 2yrs, 5yrs and 13yrs old we all ate every bit of delicious food and drink. Brownie went down a treat too. Amazing food and service- exactly what you need after a day of hiking. Often a line up out the door but with plenty of space upstairs and out back the wait is very quick. Hot and fresh burgers, perfectly juicy and with top notch toppings. The crinkle fries and delicious and always served with 3 types of sauces. Service great- especially Fern who was exceptionally friendly and organised. Definitely recommend.

Over the food was great, just some small bits that let it down. The beef and chicken burgers are cooked perfectly and taste amazing. Fries are solid and the cheese sauce tastes great. However, Nachos were very dry and disappointing, cheese and bacon fries barely had any bacon, the bacon in the burger was also very chewy.

The chefs here are the stars of the show !!! Incredible burgers presented well even when the place is rammed !!! Which ot was on friday and Saturday when I visited but Saturday was extremely busy - the burgers are cooked to perfection and as I say the presentation doesnt slip. The portions are good aswel - the nachos feel on the steeper side but you do get a generous amount of jalapeños cheese and beef so it feels ok ! The service is... ok I dont want to be harsh on the FOH team as they are not bad. You are seated, asked for your meal choice, and asked if your food is ok, which is fine after all it isnt fine dining but the food is the winner here and the chefs are the stars Well done to the kitchen team for smashing out some amazing food

The food is excellent, the service is impeccable, and the prices are reasonable. The chicken is crispy with an exciting flavor. Its definitely a 5-star experience without question.

Fantastic burgers (Pike OPickle and Summits Burn with extra patty) and lager (Parachute Drop). Sat on the first floor with a lovely view over the Moot Hall. Hard to beat this place and would definitely recommend.

Terrible service, went in and enquired about a table for 8 and the waiter said come back in 25 minutes and we will be able to accommodate for you so we went back after 25 minutes and then they didn t save us a table and didn t seem bothered either! Really disappointed as we were really looking forward to burgers and cocktails and the staff were rude

Forgive the terrible photo but I had the High Reuben and it was actually unreal, we got in straight away even though it was mad busy and there was a small queue. Food was quick and service was good.

Best restaurant in Keswick. The burgers here are phenomenal and are all brilliantly named after some of the Wainwright fells. Great atmosphere, wonderful service, excellent value for money and a perfect spot for a pint and a burger after a nice walk! Food

I get that they don t take bookings, but being asked to stand and stare at a wall for 40minutes while waiting for a table I mean really? Offer us a table to sit at for drinks at least or take our number so we can come back? Terrible customer service. Shame

This place charges £12 for a burger and the beef patty is 5mm thick. The burger comes with the additional inputs like salad. The chips are an extra £4. If the patty was. Say 15-20mm thick, then yes £12 is fine. Absolute rip off. The service is slow. Don t bother coming here.

I really enjoyed food and drink here, they have fantastic, snazzy and tasty non-alcoholic drink options which are hard to find sometimes. I loved the strawberry and ginger smash. I know its a big thing to have your burger in a bun but if like me you get full really easy they have an option to switch the bun for a salad, which honestly is delicious!! With the bhaji burger its a treat I loved the overall aesthetic of the place with the maps on the ceilings, and the service were so lovely. Most of our table ordered either vegan or vegetarian options and they were all OUTSTANDING. It was so amazing I forgot to take a photo. If you re vegetarian it s easy to pay a lot of money for mediocre burgers in the Lake District, but this place has the best burgers around Keswick hands down - veggie or not as it was our meat eating friend who recommended.

Came here as a treat after a long walk as it was recommended to me, and it did not disappoint! The staff are great and the food is brilliant , these guys really know what they are doing! Make sure you come here if you are in the area !

Today, April 25, after trekking, I go to have lunch at the 2:00 p.m. type place and I find the unpleasant surprise that it is closed and opens at 4:00 p.m. You should be informed that there are tourists who have lunch from 1 to 2 p.m., their hamburgers may be very good but you should worry more about the customers needs. Lack of commercial knowledge

Very expensive. (Almost £70 for 3 burgers, 3 drinks and 3 chips). Chips do not come with the burgers, you have to buy them separately. Atmosphere was nice, sat upstairs overlooking the high street which was nice. Service good, but felt like we had to leave a tip because the server stood right next to us when paying by card. Food was lacking....Burgers tasted like they had no seasoning in them at all. Chips were alright. Cheese sauce was about the best thing about the whole meal. Was told about this place by people at work and when I seen the reviews I couldnt wait to try it! Best burgers in Keswick there cant be much competition then to be honest... Will sadly never visit again. Prefer my food with flavour.

Spent a week in Keswick and wanted to find a burger place for our last night. So glad we found The Round! Burgers and fries were amazing. 7 of us and we all had a different burger. Not one was a disappointment. Every flavor, every topping and every bite was delicious. Thankfully we were able to get seated as they dont take bookings, which can be a challenge for us as we have adults with special needs, but we got a table quickly and had a lovely time. Would highly recommend AAA+++!

Great Burger spot in Keswick if you re here on a short break or just for the day be sure to make this a go to spot. Seems like a local hotspot, que was out the door when we arrived so that s a good sign, turn around is quick though and we were seated within 5 minutes or so. Burgers are great and the loaded fries are some of the cheesiest we ve had, VERY good! Neck Oil on draft as well which is a plus for me! Service was good and didn t take too long either. Definitely be back again on the next visit!

Great selection of burgers and cocktails. Lots of seating, but beware, its very busy and very popular and there will be queues! (See picture) I had the Harissa Stickle (lamb burger) very juicy and great toppings. I paired it with the Mac and Cheese - a very large portion and the cheese was a little smokey - so so good! My friends had chips (again, very large portion) whilst we shared the nachos. So good! Service was pretty prompt and polite. Definitely come again. Great value! Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian burgers, nachos and sides.

Fantastic burgers and amazing crinkle cut chips

We expected the queue though we seemed to arrive at the worst time as we had to queue for 30 mins which is more than I d like/expected. Maybe avoid arriving at 7-8 pm. The food was good though I wasn t overly impressed with the Eastern Fells burger. The mac and cheese though was incredible and would definitely recommend.

If I lived in Keswick I d have to run a LOT of miles to burn off all the burgers I would eat here. Absolutely excellent place for a laid back bite to eat and the burgers are immensely good.

Didn t expect this place to be worth the line, but it was. Juicy chicken, savory sauces, impeccable bacon, surprisingly capable drinks. Heavenly cheesy fries. Worth the wait!

Ordered a takeaway. Order wasnt ready at allocated time slot. Nothing special. Burgers were average and definitely not worth the £12-£14 we paid. Appalling that they dont include a side of fries/chips. The chips we ordered separately were clearly frozen. Very disappointing for the amount we spent. I make better burgers myself.

Exceptional burgers! You have to queue outside if busy to get a table but its worth the wait. Its also dog friendly. This is the second time I have been and it didnt disappoint. Love the atmosphere and its connection to the Bob Graham Round (if you know, you know). Perfect place to eat after a long day in the hills.

Amazing and very original burguers. The staff is very professional and always helping. The restaurant is located in one of the main streets of Keswick and you have a lot of things to do/visit around the area. They have a good variety of burguers, most of them very originals and very tasty!. 100% recommended!!

Great spot in the town center, easily accessible from all the carparks. Staff were friendly and welcoming and there was a nice buzz about the place.

Absolutely amazing burgers! I ve been wanting to visit The Round for a while and it did not disappoint. We only waited about 10 mins (ok it was winter and Keswick wasn t as busy but it s definitely worth any wait!) and the service was excellent, we got our food really quickly. The burgers were amazing, as was the Mac n cheese and popcorn chicken. So much food and great value for money! The best part was the dogs, any place that welcomes dogs is a hit with me. I recommend anyone visiting The Lakes makes an effort to visit The Round, especially if you re interested in the Bob Graham! Vegetarian options: They have more than one veggie/vegan burger which means you get a choice! Dietary restrictions: They offer gluten free alternatives which is always welcome

Lucky to get a table at The Round during the day. If you come at night you often have to queue as it gets so busy. A fairly limited menu offering burgers only but the quality is so good. I ordered a Reuben burger which came with a patty and a layer of cheese/salt beef accompanied with a portion of sweet potato fries. I had a Beavertown Neck Oil to wash the food down. Vegetarian options: There was a couple of vegan/vegetarian burger choices which I thought was quite good as there are 10-11 burgers in total available. Kid-friendliness: There were young kids and babies in the restaurant and they were fairly settled despite it being really busy.

Really liked it here. Really modern with great beer and a good vibe. The music was good and the staff were too. The food looked amazing. Wanted to go on a second night and they were queueing down the street. Sadly it is too popular. We will return

My partner ordered a vegan nacho dish for collection, they completely forgot to add the vegan topping so they ended up paying £12+ for some plain tortilla chips with fries. Really poor considering the reviews
