Casa Bella is very much a family business with Andrew celebrating 20 years of ownership this year. Wife Sarah and her daughter Lily manage our separate Gelateria in Keswick during the tourist season, while Matthew, Andrew’s son, makes all our gelato for both venues at bespoke premises in nearby Braithwaite. Homemade and local are themes that run throughout everything we make, with local flavour and authentic taste the foundation of everything we produce. Our menus offer traditional Italian dishes alongside Head Chef Guini’s daily specials and smaller dishes for the little ones.
Lovely Italian restaurant in Market Square of Keswick. Very popular with locals. Excellent service. Food equally good. Atmosphere buzzing. Recommend eating here.
Delicious food and generous portion sizes. Just what’s needed after a long day of walking! Staff were really friendly and I didn’t feel rushed even though I was on my own. I managed to get in without a booking and food came quickly even though they were very busy. I had pinot Grigio, chicken liver parfait, risotto del mare and mixed sorbets. All of which were lovely. Will definitely be back!
Very helpful staff who managed to squeeze my partner and I in during a busy night when we hadn't a booking. Good rustica pizza and seafood pasta with tiramisu to follow.
All staff very nice - food is good, especially dessert. They can cater for GF, vegan and veggie as well as allergies very well.
Amazing food and great service. We went for a three course dinner. So delicious and well presented. Staff were very friendly and helpful, on what seemed to be a busy week night we were able to get a table straight away without reservation, though we did visit out of peak season. I had the Tuscan Pork which was amazing and I can highly recommend it.
Excellent restaurant with delicious food and wonderful staff. Good menu selection of food and wine. Good value also. Recommend booking before you go.
We’d had a hell of a day and just wanted somewhere to eat, and we were so glad we picked this place. The food was like heaven and we both thoroughly enjoyed it - still haven’t stopped thinking about it. We were struggling to decide what we wanted from the menu and the staff were kind, patient, and suggested some things off the menu. The lamb and sea bass is what we went for and both were delicious and beautifully cooked. Incredible flavours in both. Best potatoes either of us have had in a long time! And the veggies were cooked to perfection. Then for dessert we had the cheesecake of the day (raspberry and white chocolate) and gelato. Again, phenomenal taste - so creamy and delicious, beautifully presented! Can’t wait to eat here again one day (hopefully soon). Found a true gem in Keswick with this place!
Restaurant looked busy, and we were craving pasta. Ended up getting the arabiatta as it was one of the few veggie options. Full of olives and tasted like school dinner to be honest. Not worth it. Sweet potato fries and mayonnaise was really good though. Regret not getting the pizza.
Really nice place to eat Italian food
A superb restaurant
Visited Casas on Saturday the 30th of November, you made myself and my Family so welcome, the food was fantastic, and will certainly visit again on our next trip to Keswick.
Nice food.
Amazing food ,lovely place. First italian Ive ever been to and cant wait to go again.
We had a fantastic family meal here, the service was excellent, really friendly and helpful. They have good gf options, pizza pasta, meat dishes and desserts. It was busy, even on a Monday evening so recommend booking in advance. Unfortunately the tiramisu was sold out, so were going back! Dietary restrictions: Many gf options on the menu, safe for coeliac Kid-friendliness: Staff friendly with the staff, they have a childrens menu. The atmosphere is not too quiet or formal, so you dont feel like youre disturbing others with family chatter!
Excellent service and delicious food. Been here a few times when in the lakes and never disappoints.
Sharing plates, starters, and main courses and a glass of wine very good.
Great restaurant with lots of Gluten Free options. Booking is essential. Food
Booked for 5pm yesterday. Was taken straight to seat on arrival. Was served promptly and politely. Food delicious and huge portions ate way too much but thoroughly enjoyed everything. Only disappointment was could not possibly fit in one of their lovely gelato desserts
Very nice and busy restaurant and I enjoyed the food. However, if you are looking for an authentic Italian pizza bare this in mind: Here you will get a wonderful british-italian fusion of what you are looking for. I never had cheddar on a pizza before. It was still nice though.
5 of us ate here one Friday evening, during early November. Fortunately, I had pre-booked, which was ideal as the restaurant was completely full. We had a range of dishes between us, including lasagne, pizza, and sea bass. The staff were friendly and welcoming, providing a good service and the food was excellent. With drinks, a main and dessert, it was about £40pp. The restaurant is situated just around the corner from the main high street and theres plenty of on street parking nearby. We thoroughly enjoyed this establishment and would definitely like to return. It was a great place to visit.
Superb meal at peak time. Attentive staff, prompt drinks and starters. Food and drink was outstanding, and all at a reasonable price. Highly recommended.
Absolutely superb stop off meal. Was seated quickly in the busy restraunt and was greeted with open arms. Service was quick and with a smile and was taken through the different options of the menu and even offered the chefs speciality dish. The pizzas are to die for; thin, crispy Italian style with a Sundae for desert. 10/10.
Amazing food, brilliant atmosphere. Great staff without being intrusive. Will definitely be back next time were in Keswick
The quality of food was lovely The staff was very friendly The menu was small, so there was not a lot of choice. So because of this, I expected the food to be spot on. Food : 4/5
Good food friendly staff
Ate dinner there tonight, and the food was exquisite! Delicious, with enormous portions. I m looking forward to having my leftovers for lunch tomorrow! The service, however, was very poor. A friendly person welcomed and seated us, but then our server seemed to expect us to order before we had time to study the menu. Entrees came at the same tome as salads. I would have liked to have had water with my meal, but no one came by to ask, nor did anyone check on us or ask how we enjoyed our meals. When it came time to pay our bill, again there was no one to ask, and we had to go up to the bar to pay. But the food was truly excellent, so kudos to the chef. Maybe I. m critical of the service because we have just come from 5days in Scotland, where virtually everyone was welcoming, friendly, and wonderful. Meeting new people is tome one of the greatest part of travel.
Visited due to it appearing well rated. Service staff lovely. Manager, rude. Food salty and not good quality and priced too high for the quality. We won t be back and an expensive lesson learned.
Great food and friendly staff, highly recommend!
Staff was extremely friendly and service was quick that s quite unusual for Italian restaurants in my experience but the food was average. Tiramisu was the worst as if bought in a shop, carbonara and lasagna were average
Excellent service and great food.
Best pizza
Really nice pizzas can get busy so recommend to book
Lovely staff and food would have got 5 but unfortunately main course was a bit on the look warm side.
Best restaurant in Keswick, full stop! Great food, great people and always an essential visit , or two, or three, when visiting Keswick.
Delicious food! The bruschetta with ham and mozzarella was delicious! The Lamb Cannon was very well prepared. Rosé as stated in the menu. Delicious peeled potatoes and warm vegetables. Delicious!! The peunutella and tiramisu was tasty. Especially the ice cream! If you dont feel like pub food, go to Casa Bella!
Fab Italian, do book in advance as it gets busy here for a reason. Clean, nice atmosphere, menu was nicely laid out and a good variety of options, food and drinks served in good time, staff are very friendly and happy to help. We had the camembert sharer which was lovely. Stuffed chicken was delicious and the vegetables were cooked to perfection. Very delicious. Plentiful options for pudding, the warm chocolate fudge cake and ice cream is the best weve had and it was a very generous portion. You can choose ice cream to take away at good prices, would recommend doing this even if youre passing through.
Absolutely outstanding . Fantastic food, great service! . We were only in Keswick for 2 nights, but we ate there both evenings because it was simply amazingly delicious . We ate our way through the menu and everything was absolutely excellent .
We ordered the vegetable arrabiata and venison. However, the pasta was overcooked that it fell apart in the bowl and the venison was overcooked too so had the consistency of rubber. I had to send the venison back as it was inedible and swapped it for the lamb, which was softer. However, the cook forgot the vegetables in the new dish, but I did not mention it. The potatoes were good though and the cook was nice to add more flavour to them as requested. Perhaps more practice with perfecting these details could enhance the execution of the dishes. The flavours and presentation of the dishes were very rich, however - its the texture that needs work. The service was excellent and the waitresses were very attentive, friendly, and accommodating.
Italian food that we enjoyed: the first time there we had a shared board as a starter, then pasta and a lasagna. The second time we had individual starters then pizzas. Both meals were good and the house red went down really well with the food. Good atmosphere very busy, we booked online the first time, then turned up early and were able to get a table the second time. Always worth asking at the door, to see if there is a table, even if there if it looks very busy.
Kid-friendliness: Kids allowed Food
Really lovely food, bit pricey but came quickly. And service was excellent, super friendly staff. We did have to be sat outside of the main section of the restaurant, which initially wasnt an issue, but unfortunately there was a very strong breeze coming in from a door open in the bar area at the back! But overall lovely food and nice atmosphere with friendly and attentive staff
Very friendly staff, delicious food. Dietary restrictions: Excellent gluten free options Food : 5/5 |
Lovely meal & wine. Highly recommend
Excellent food, service and value the two times we have visited.
Just had a delicious meal here with great service
Excellent food and very attentive staff. Will go again
Ive been walking past this restaurant for over 10 years and each time it is packed with diners. After dining the other evening I now wonder why. Adequate but nothing special. BBQ pizza similar to that at Wetherspoons although at twice the cost
We had a delicious vegetarian Italian meal here in September 2024. Lovely pasta with mushrooms, great vegan chili and a nice appetizer platter. Topped off by a tasty selection of sorbets. Surprisingly busy for a Thursday- consider making reservations.
They wouldnt let us push two tables of four together for our party of eight pensioners.
Overpriced
Good Ice cream very strong
Good food, courteous and friendly staff and a nice surroundings. Dietary restrictions: They cater well for those on a gluten free diet Food : 4/5 |
Kitchen closed early
Very good
We simply enquired about a table, the man at the front was very rude to my mother who is a very polite person. We were made to feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable.
Food was very bland cheese on sharing board was taste less same with the pizza also the chicken was very tough in the carbonara
Kids welcome, food good. Kid-friendliness: Kids welcome and enjoyed their experience Food : 5/5 |
Fantastic. Excellent food, superb service and great atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Amazing gluten free options. A range of pasta and pizza that can all be gluten free. I got pizza and it was so nice, not your typical gluten free pizza! Lots of options for dessert too, great gelato. Service was friendly and very accommodating for gluten free people.
Me and the wife had dinner here on Monday. Even at 6.45 the place was filling up quickly, and we now know why. From the greeting to the departure everything was exceptional. The garlic chilli prawn and the bruschetta starters were incredibly tasty. They did one of my favourite pizzas, but I dared to opt for the minced pork and prosciutto spaghetti with sun-dried tomatoes and a creamy fennel-y sauce which was honestly probably the best pasta dish Ive had (in memory at least). My wife had a chicken carbonara (they can also do most of their menu gluten free, which is a huge thumbs up), which she absolutely loved! We werent planning on having desserts but I opted for tiramisu and my wife chose the homemade sticky toffee pudding (again, made gluten free), both were sublime. At 3 courses and a glass of wine each our bill was £80 which was more than reasonable, given the quality of everything. I highly recommend this place and would like to extend a personal thanks to the foh and boh, both of which made our experience one to remember. If were ever back in the area well definitely be coming back here!
Excellent food, great service.
Disappointing. Meal with family. Rushed for order (which I wouldnt have been bothered about if we were made to feel welcome, or anyone had made an effort to be friendly), waiting staff gave brusque service throughout, we were then ignored when trying to pay. Left feeling unwelcome. Pizza was good.
Lovely authentic Italian food and amazing desserts. My gelato Sundae was amazing. The staff and the atmosphere, so warm and welcoming. I loved every minute here and the music playlist kept us smiling while we enjoyed our food. Card is accepted and there is on-street parking available outside the restaurant. I will certainly visit again on my next trip to the Lakes.
Lovely place to eat
Vegetarian options: Vegetarian antipasti/meze and good selection of delicious vegetarian options, pasta, pizza and main dishes. Kid-friendliness: Always see a table with very happy children, every visit!
Average!
Delicious food
Very tasty!
Message to the owners: We tried to get a table to celebrate my birthday, and we received a terrible welcome. The grey hair gentleman was super unfriendly, not even simple Hello was said to us. We understand that it would be better if we had a reservation in advance, but there was no need for an attitude towards us. Total lack of customer service from this gentleman. This person should never work at the front desk. We just thought you should know.
Phoned for a takeaway on Saturday, only to be told they werent accepting them, despite what the website says. Tried again a few days later, phoned 5 times and noone picked up the phone. Poor service.
Good food but queue or book in advance
We hadnt booked but Manager Virag managed to fit us in. We both had goats cheese stuffed chicken and red berry pavlova, both were good quality and presentation. Bottle of wine. We hope to return before we go home, lovely friendly staff, well worth a visit, much better than pub grub!. Food
Excellent salad with the chilli beans
Love to stop here for ice creams.
Very busy on arrival with a wide mix of diners , plenty of which were still in walking gear. Food was tasty and friendly service . Had the Prawns and Chicken Carborana. Keswick Thirst Quencher ( IPA) went down well. Pre booked table which wasnt the best, but given it was packed there was no other choice.
Great service with attentive staff and great food. Will definitely come again when next in the area.
Amazing Gelato highly recommend
The pizzas have a base that is not fresh. Investments are fine, but it is also about the soil. Atmosphere is fast and businesslike.
Loved everything about this place. Food was amazing and good value for money. The coffee was phenomenal, easily the best Ive ever had
Beautiful food, we had starters and mains for two and a couple of drinks. Service was quick but not rushed. Definitely book it was busy. We will visit again when next in Keswick.
Alway eat here when we visit Keswick, did not dissapoint, great food, great staff and good value.
Group of 3. We all had lovely food. Service was great. No issues at all.
The restuarant was fairly busy and tables quite close together but the food and service were excellent.
Had a late lunch here - food was delicious and good value, attentive and friendly service! Would recommend
Great meal, nice and relaxing, came out stuffed
Excellent food, Prawn starter wow, sea bass main delicious. Truly gorgeous quality food.
Dropped in to order a takeaway on a busy Easter Sunday having enquired about availability earlier. The staff were extremely friendly confirmed with the kitchen how long it would take (fifteen minutes) and we grabbed a quick drink in the bar whilst we waited. Timing was spot on and the pizza and pasta was fantastic!
Great pizza, friendly staff and a great selection of excellent, home made ice cream. Its just a really nice place.
Easily the best restaurant for gluten free food that weve found. Dietary restrictions: Amazing gluten free options most of the menu can be made gf Food : 5/5 |
Great food , great service ! A place I highly recommend .
Casa Bella has spoiled me for other pizzas. It was the real thing, made with skill and pride. I had the buffalo mozzarella veggie pizza and, damn, it was good. The pesto was home made, there was nothing UPF nor processed. I also had a good salad bowl. I wish I was nearer, I would go regularly. The staff were highly attentive and took great pride in their food. It was a real treat but I miss it!
Called in for lunch. Staff were very friendly with a great sense of humour. The Seafood Linguine and Tiramisu are highly recommended. Will definitely be returning.
Nice place, friendly staff, some lovely food notably starter and desert, plus v nice primitivo. Only demerit was the ok but not phenomenal pizza, which is a shame for an Italian restaurant. Chef should go to Fuocos and try a real Italian Margherita.
My steak was tough and tomatoes were cooked for maybe a couple seconds, not roasted. It was a disappointment.
Take away pizza and garlic bread. Very tasty. Prompt friendly service Food : 5/5
Fantastic food an very friendly helpful staff, good prices would highly recommend
Dined at this little Gem. Stumbled on it by mistake, relaxing music, polite staff. The Polo Carbonera is amazing, the sauce is creamy, the pasta is cooked to perfection, the Chicken and Bacon was great. Fresh food at its best. Added to our return list.
Fantastic in every single way!
Fantastic experience! It came highly recommended by many. Everything we had was delicious. Get the garlic mayo and put it on EVERYTHING! Very kind, helpful and efficient staff! We will definitely return.
Excellent food and service, great atmosphere. Friendly staff. We had the short rib beef and the salmon carbonara and we swapped halfway through. Both dishes were very tasty but the salmon carbonara just edged it because it was so light. We did start with a tomato garlic bread which was very light and crisp but for us, just needed to have a bit more sauce. We were tempted by desserts and we had Tiramisu and a salted caramel ice cream. Again, both very tasty. In summary, a really nice meal, in pleasant surroundings with friendly staff. We both said we would come back again.
They try and squeeze everyone in one small space which means you get no room or privacy. We never received our starter we ordered and my main wasn t that great. Nice place but feels like you are being rushed to finish to get next people in even though you have time as advised when booking.
Food not bad just expensive for what it is :) If you can get in go square orange for pizza Food : 3/5
Really top quality italian food Really reasonable prices under current times we thought we would have to book but managed a walk in no problem 10 ou of 10 many thanks to the staff. Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to get in and out staff really helpful
Perfect
Lovely food and loads od gluten free options. We will be back again next time we are passing through Keswick. Dietary restrictions: Loads of gluten free options and menu clearly marked.
Mouthwatering food! We came here after a long walk up Cat Bells and boy we did not leave hungry! Starting off we had garlic bread for the table and olives to share. Lovely thin and crispy garlic bread that was not shy on the garlic. Delicious. Moving to starters we had: White bait - lovely large crispy fillets (without the head to my girlfriends liking) and a sharp lemon mayo to accompany. Chilli and Garlic Prawns - as you can see in the picture they were huge and plump! Perfectly cooked I could ve ordered another plate! For main course I had pistachio crumbed lamb which was cooked to perfection. Pink in the middle and so tender you could cut with a spoon. It didn t need the red wine sauce it was that tasty by itself! Chicken & vegetable arrabbiata - delicious, slightly spicy, good portion size Tuscan Pork - wow. Amazing! Such a delicious dish. The depth and richness of the sauce was mind blowing. Would love to have the recipe to recreate at home! 10/10. Would highly recommend if you re nearby.
Edit - we returned a year later and the team were so welcoming, the restaurant so clean and the menu SO GOOD. We actually ended up going back the next day to have the dessert because the meal sizes do not skimp and we couldnt find space for the gellato. STAFF KNEW THEIR GLUTEN FREE STUFF AND TOOK IT SERIOUSLY! Absolutely lovely staff, so welcoming it has a lovely atmosphere If youre looking for a gluten-free option, this place is amazing! They had both pasta and pizza options (omg gosh the goats cheese pizza!) and I felt really comfortable and safe eating there. Dietary restrictions: Staff really understood gluten free needs and took it very seriously (including a cute little flag in my pizza to mark it gluten free and telling me what on my partners plate I definitely couldnt touch - alas the chips!) Left completely comfortable eating here. Parking: Plenty of council owned parking a short walk away.
Well deserved coffee after run staff lovely take away coffee!
Rude staff - I dont expect much and understand the dynamics of a busy service, but to be left waiting outside waiting with my 5 yr old for ice cream and have members of staff continually ignore us is bad in my book, all it would of needed was a really sorry we will be with you shortly but to be ignored over and over is infuriating, especially when the staff are coming to the ice cream to fill desserts and trying as hard as they can not to make eye contact. Safe to say I walked off and went to the friendly ice parlour round the corner. Really shows the restaurants true colours.
Nice Italian restaurant with good atmosphere, friendly staff and really good food.
Lovely food and great service Kid-friendliness: They do half size portions of all their menu options for children. Food : 5/5 |
lovely Italian resteraunt. Make sure you book in advance as very popular.
I wouldn t recommend this place for lunch. They got got my pasta wrong. When I pointed it out, they didn t offer to exchange it. But it tasted funny, on my second complaint they offered to change it. There was no prawns in the seafood pasta and the service was terrible. The lady at the billing made a rather rude comment about the pasta that we ate, saying you had all of it despite it being a wrong order. Additionally we missed out w bus due to their mix up of our order. In all, I wouldn t recommend this place at all, they hardly had any options for the lunch and within the limited options, the food and service was bad. Skip it for their lunch service.
We booked this place in advance on the strength of our sons it was all right after a visit a few months ago, as we were travelling a hundred miles and wanted to be sure we could eat somewhere From arriving to leaving every aspect of the visit was enjoyable. The food especially(lasagne with garlic bread for my wife and a rustic vegetable arrabiatta with penne and garlic bread, for me) was delicious and compliments were sent to the kitchen. The place was busy, the food was great and the prices are typical of the sort of place we like to visit for food...and last but by no means least all the staff ee encountered were friendly and welcoming. Happy to recommend Casa Bella
Fantastic pizzas, really nice quality with toppings right to the edge, friendly and efficient service, but the best thing about Casa Bella is the ice cream! It is so good with a variety of flavours that even for hardened Italian ice cream lovers, it hits the spot!
Quick service food tasty service that isnt asking you every 5 mins are you ok which I prefer all good and its a sell out
Dietary restrictions: Vegan gelato
I feel it lacks atmosphere and for the prices you pay the service and experience should be better. This is the third time we have eaten here and ordered garlic bread and olives as our starter and every time we have been served the bread and no olives and had to ask for them. The napkins are like blue paper roll which is not a good look for the restaurant. I ordered the seafood pomidor which was slightly underwhelming , prawns were miniscule, and mussels served out of shells, squid was overcooked. I have been three times to this restaurant and a think it has deteriated I appreciate times are tough but prices are not cheap and the experience should be better for the price.
Excellent pizza and very tasty food.
Large italian restaurant in Keswick. Good food served swiftly by some great staff. Very busy at the time of our teatime visit. All in all worth a visit.
Nothing to complain about here, you can see why its one of highest rated restaurants here
Great atmosphere with extremely friendly staff. I tried the white chocolate cheesecake which was absolutely delicious and would honestly be the best I have ever had. Unfortunately the rack of lamb which I took for mains was rather chewy though I understand that it is very hard to cook lamb to be tender. The reason why I have rated the service at 3 is because a coffee which was ordered didnt arrive and we had to remind the staff of an ice cream which we ordered too. Overall I would highly suggest eating here but would definitely recommend booking ahead of time as times between 6 and 8 are eaten up very quickly! Parking: No parking on site but there is an easily accessible car park about 200 yards away.
Excellent service and traditional menu.
Good food, good value
Arrived at 2100 for a very quick takeaway icecream and was met by a very rude (bald) staff member pushed into the queue and stated that they were closed, and did not want to help us. The staff member who was inside seemed to think that it was fine however the outside staff was very rude and aggressive unnecessarily, so we departed without anything and will not be returning.
Service was good. Ambience ok. Not great having entrance to gents loos right by tables. Food OK, mozzarella tasted cheap, bean chilli nice. Best bit was ice cream which was good.
Great food friendly staff
Have visited a few times and always had a good experience. The steak was spot on, ice cream delicious as always and a very nice quality coffee to finish. Staff are friendly and attentive.
Great pizza, fresh ingredients and friendly staff to take our order
We had a lovely meal here. Great gluten free pizza and other options such as gf pasta.
Food was amazing, service was fantastic.
Absolutely brilliant place, food is freshly made and tastes exceptional, the staff are all very friendly and the happiest bunch Ive ever seen in a restaurant - it was refreshing to see.
Pizzas and pastas were nice. I saw them doing the puddings in the microwave so (at least some of them) are not homemade, so we didnt bother. Its a cosy atmosphere inside.
Lively atmosphere and a serving team that were always present but not intrusive. I had a good pizza; The Hot Sticks one, and my partner had the seafood risotto from the specials board. Both very flavourful and freshly cooked. Seemed a popular hangout, with a good mix of happy faces. Priced well at about £15 a head for mains, plus drinks.
Excellent all round . Friendly staff great food will definitely book again Dietary restrictions: Plenty of gf dishes Food : 5/5 |
The (microwaved) lasagne was not hot at all in the middle. (2 of us had this and both were the same. Boiling on the outside but cold in the middle.) Bolognese was good. Both non alc cocktails were unavailable. Nice enough place but could be a lot better.
We visit every time we go to Keswick and Casa Bella is without doubt the best restaurant in the town, food and service is always top quality
We like Casa Bella in Keswick. The service is friendly and the food is generally really good. The ice cream is great and the ice cream sundaes on the desert menu are really generous. I find the restaurant a little cramped in place so when its full (its always full when weve gone) getting in an out of your seat can be a challenge. I had the seafood pasta (tomato sauce version) on my last visit. Tasty and a reasonable portion. Im not sure why they have only partially shelled the prawns for the dish it is makes it incredibly difficult to eat without making a mess. I imagine theres a reason for it but I wouldnt order it again in a rush. Generally though, everyone always looks forward to our annual visit and well be going back. Make sure you book well in advance for busy periods.
Excellent food! Will be back again & again
I dined out tonight and the food and service was excellent. Thank you
Pizza was delicious and would definitely recommend but the gelato wasn t that great.
Excellent
great spot to eat, very good staff and food
After coming to Keswick for many many years we dont know how weve missed Casa Bella before. Maybe because its always busy. Best to book on line well in advance to achieve a 7.30ish slot. Choice of food, quality and service is excellent, though it does work out a little expensive. The Affagatto, coffee with gelato and cream finishes off the meal perfectly. We are going here twice the holiday.
Great food including gluten free pasta. The gluten free sticky toffee pudding was delicious. Staff were friendly and attentive.
had a great tasting seafood meal, just a shame the tails were still on the prawns, not what I expected in my first mouthful. Otherwise perfect.
The food is 1st class. The staff are brilliant. The location is great. If I didnt live 3hours away, I would go every week. I had a brilliant steak and my wife had a pasta dish. Parking: Double yellows in streets all around as its so close to centre of Keswick. We were staying 250 yards away so not an issue for us, as we could walk there. Ignore minor parking issue and go there.
Really good Italian restaurant. Service was excellent. A must to go to when in Keswick
Nice food, friendly and efficient staff.
That was lamHad mouth full rest of was fat not good Paid £21 for this plate
Lovely 3 course dinner after wandering up Skiddaw. Friendly attentive staff, great food, good bottle of wine and a nice local beer (thirst quencher).
We visited casa Bella this evening with high hopes. After waiting 40 minutes for our starters to come we where greeted with our main meals. We explained that we were still waiting for starters and the waitress went back to the kitchen. She reappeared a few minutes later to tell us that someone who had just started didnt realise we hadnt had our starters. We asked for everything to be brought out together which it was but the experience left a sour taste. Paid £60 for the privilege. Shame because the food was nice, a decent apology would have been appreciated before we were leaving the restaurant.
Lovely food and great staff
Brilliant friendly service from start to finish! Management so friendly and servicing staff were very attentive and so friendly too!. Food was 5 Star! We will definitely be back! Thank you.
Amazing food and great service!
Excellent food great service would recommend highly
Brilliant food and service Staff was friendly and food in large enough portions to share Food
Food was absolutely delicious, our tables had pastas and pizzas and both were outstanding. The Atmosphere and the restaurant itself were also without fault. Friendly and accommodating staff, if you re in Keswick definitely worth a visit but make sure to book as they re very popular!
A decent place for an evening meal If that way, give it a try. Dietary restrictions: One of my party is gluten intollerant; on the whole handled well albeit we remain unsure if the sauce with dinner was actually gluten free ir not so worth double checking if you are intolerant in anyway to make sure before completing your order.
Had a very enjoyable dinner of pasta and pizza, followed by lovely chocolate gelato and espresso.
We were visiting the Lakes (not our first time but still getting to know Keswick) it was our anniversary so I booked a table weeks in advance for four of us. When we arrived they didnt seem to have set a table for us a lady behind the bar shouted over to the young guy some directions as to where to sit us. I cant remember the exact sentence she used but it was something like not on a .... and the guy shouted it back just to make sure he had got all the info. It all just sounded very negative and the way they were just shouting to each other lowered the tone of the restaurant instantly. We were then sat on a tiny table next to an old rusty, metal bookcase thing used for all the sauces and extra napkins etc. There were lots of free tables around us. My husband asked about the table and the guy just said thats all we have and walked off. The food for three of us was amazing (but it was pizza so not that tricky but very nice pizza) but I just chose wrong and my pasta was too spicy but that was my bad. The host was lovely, going around chatting to all the guests and taking pictures - lovely very friendly, great host. We had take away three hills ice cream after which I think is the best ice cream EVER! And so we came back many times for just that. I was really looking forward to spending my anniversary in Keswick and I love Italian food but this restaurant really disappointed us.
Great food, friendly and warm staff and nice ambiance. Would recommend. Kid-friendliness: Staff tried hard to make arrangements for our son. All very welcoming to smaller guests! Food : 5/5 |
Nice atmosphere
First class Italian restaurant in the centre of Keswick. Always busy. Must book.
Fabulous Italian restaurant! Gorgeous food and great customer service.
Fabulous food. Cosy venue. Lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended.
The person who took my order was rude: after placing my takeaway order, I said that Id come back, his response was: Do what you want. Ordered four cheese pizza which was ok, nothing special, the seafood pomodoro was very disappointing the prawns hadnt been prepared properly and still had some scales left on them.
Been many times over the last 30 odd years. Try to go every time we stay in Keswick Food
Coelia safe meal. Staff were friendly and multiple options on the menu were gluten free. I had a gluten free pizza which was really nice! They even had multiple gluten free dessert options. Dietary restrictions: Coeliac safe.
Lovely food, served really quickly
The food was delicious but the service was even better. On a very busy evening we were made very welcome with their friendliness and efficiency.
Amazing food and great service. Definitely worth a visit if youre in Keswick. Its just a shame Im a 3 hour drive away! Cant wait to come back!
We had a lovely meal at the Casa Bella, the starter was a mozzarella salad, the pizza was lovely nice and thin. The waiter provided some chilli flakes. My wife had the same starter and chicken carbonara. We had the hot chocolate fudge cake and the cheese cake for pudding. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was lovely. We would definitely go again when we visis keswick in the future.
Friendly restaurant with great food
Had the most Amazing meal and best service by far. Well done to Maddie for making our evening so special.
One of the greatest Italian meals I have eaten. I didnt think it would top my first night in the lakes but it did. Fresh flavourful and perfect. Staff attentive and friendly service quick and atmosphere lovely and festive. So good we ate one night then booked for the following! Absolutely recommend this place! Oh and the crunchy sundae?! To die for! Just a heads up!
Went on Sunday for a quick meal. We booked and got a lovely table by the window. It is a popular place and soon filled up. It did seem to cater well for big groups. The food and service were first class. Seafood Pasta was lovely and there was a lot of it. I couldnt fit in a pudding. My partners pizza was also very good. Crispy and spicy. We really enjoyed our weekend in Keswick. Everywhere we ate was first class.
Great restaurant and food. Only draw back the staff are not Italian but the chef is and the food is brilliant
The worst Italian restaurant that calls itself Italian...I dont recommend it at all...Im Italian/Spanish...I have authority and knowledge about Italian gastronomy.
