Piri Fresco in Keswick

The food was surprisingly delicious; especially the tender chicken; the drinks were delicious and the service was friendly. When I checked out, I found it was quite cheap and the food was hot and delicious

Fantastic food, service and atmosphere throughout our visit. There were 10 of us, walked in last minute and were accommodated for. The different spice levels were definitely on point. Much much better than Nando s in terms of quality and portion size. It s a BYOB establishment too. Would definitely travel here again when back in the Lakes.

Got takeout and it was great value for the lakes. Everything was amazing.

recently dined at Piri Fresco, and I must say, it s just what Keswick has been missing a quality halal restaurant! The food is absolutely delicious, with the chicken being incredibly tender and everything freshly cooked to perfection. You can really taste the difference, knowing that every dish is made from scratch with fresh ingredients. Their mojitos are a standout refreshing and made with all fresh ingredients, making them the perfect complement to the meal. It s an ideal spot for a post-hike protein boost, and I ll definitely be coming back. The staff are lovely, which makes the experience even better. Highly recommended!

Amazing piri food, unlike anything else in the lakes and the quality is top. The chicken thighs were so tender! Staff very friendly and portions were great. Will be back next time we re in Keswick.

The food was good but the customer service was rubbish they are not treating ppl with respect and say really rude stuff so I recommend to not eat here they are not professional if u had a choice of 0 stars I would do it

Excellent Food and Outstanding Customer Service! I recently had the pleasure of dining at Piri Fresco, and I can confidently say it was a fantastic experience. We didn t have a reservation, but the staff managed to fit us in, which we really appreciated! We ordered the full chicken, and it was absolutely delicious better than Nandos! The flavors were rich, and the dish was beautifully presented, showcasing the quality and freshness of the ingredients. What truly stood out, however, was the customer service. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about our dining experience. They made sure we had everything we needed and were happy to recommend dishes based on our preferences. Overall, I highly recommend Piri Fresco to anyone looking for a great meal and excellent service. I can t wait to return again

Amazing experience. One of the best halal dine-in in Keswick. We ordered Signature fries, half chicken with two sides i.e. mashed potato and Broccoli and carrot. Their signature fries is a must try. And chicken was so finger-licking. The ambiance was lovely. Another best part was their delicious drinks. Pina colada and blue lagoon was soooo good. Highly recommended!!! Will definitely visit again when we will go to Lake District.

Dog friendly restaurant Had the Hangry Burger. Perfect balance of flavours and spiciness with their own piripiri sauce. The presentation of the halloumi fries starter and the Fresco De Nata dessert was so pretty it was definitely worth a photo. Truly delicious. Looking forward to going back and trying more of the menu.

Absolutely amazing halal food and ate here everyday (eat in and take out) when came to stay at the Lakes. The service is great and the food tasted impeccable, even when had as a take-out. What a little gem and incredible establishment found! I would love to see more franchises opened closer to home!

Thursday afternoon in Keswick couldnt have found a better restaurant. Shared whole chicken with partner. Half extra hot , half medium, spicy fries coleslaw and salad . Spot on , so juicy. Staff fantastic loved it. Credit to the staff Food

Absolutely loved this place. Service and staff were great and we really enjoyed the food. Also love the bring your own alcohol concept which keeps the cost down. Vegetarian options: Very accommodating with changing the loaded fries from beef to the plant based beef option and they were delicious.

Not only amazing food but great service. All the staff was very friendly and the food was brilliant, very tasty fresh and full of flavour. The drinks was very tasty. Already looking forward to my next visit. The staff did a birthday cake for my husband and made us feel so welcome. Highly recommend

Great food, fantastic in house homemade sauces. The Priri Fresco sauce was great, as was the homemade sweet chilli sauce. Definitely will come again! Better than the Round.

This place sure does give Nandos a run for their money. My and my girlfriend ordered the platter to share which included a huge portion of chicken seasoned to perfection along with some really nice piri piri rice and chips. Prices are great too, would greatly recommend!

FANTASTIC! We got a take away which was absolutely delicious! Their wings are extremely juicy and tender with a really good sauce. Overall sauces can be quite spicy (we got extra hot - which as the name suggests - is really quite hot, unlike the one from a famous chicken chain). The mild sauce for the wings on the other hand was really nice but if you cannot tolerate spiciness I would probably recommend lemon and herb (even if the mild sauce was really good and has a nice debt of flavour). We also got the loaded chips which were good but I think the normal ones are crispier so better. They can also accommodate for allergies as we went with a person allergic to dairy and they had a non-dairy wrap! Honestly, cannot recommend this place enough! Would come back to the lakes just for this. It gifts you sunshine even during a rainy day.

Food was really nice (better than Nando s) and the service was on point. Definitely a must try when in Keswick! Dietary restrictions: Halal chicken and VG options available. Parking: Car park opposite the restaurant that s free for an hour and paid after that.

It is certainly not just another Nando s as another reviewer described. The quality and freshness of the food together with the fantastic customer service sets this place in a different league. I had the Frescolicious chicken burger and it is was a taste sensation.

Probably the most succulent chicken I have tried in the UK. The piri-piri seasoning and the other spices gave it a multi layered taste that only a few Portuguese high class restaurants can achieve. Well done. And all that served with a huge smile.

Food was amazing, my teenage daughter and I had the chicken burger and fries which was great tasting, my wife and son had chicken strips and spicy rice which looked amazing and they assured me tasted great too. The staff and owners were so friendly and gave us some good advice as it s our first visit to the lakes for a long while. Would absolutely recommend this place.

Must try, I live in the heart of East London and came down here with a group of Students for there Duke of Edinburgh training. Chicken is brought here daily from the farm, amazing flavours and puts Nando s to shame. Highly recommend grill chicken and boneless thighs. Staff and formerly as well.

Booked a table, arrived on time. Staff were friendly. Had to ask for glasses. Waited 55 mins for our starters. Left just as they arrived, so never tried the food. Everyone in restaurant were waiting an overly long time and asking were their food was. Will not go again and if they carry on like that they will be out of business soon. Apologised only as we walked out.

Would highly recommend. We had the bbq piri chicken and the lemon and herb piri piri chicken, both were delishous. The mango and passionfruit daiquiri is a must! The service and atmosphere were stop on.

The food was incredible, the hot sause on the chicken wings was perfect, the service was a bit on the slow side and its likley due to it just starting out but that is more than made up for by the fantastic food and great staff.

This is an excellent restaurant. The chicken wings are to die for. Recommend the chicken roulette and you can try the different spices. The chicken is cooked from fresh not frozen. Staff are very friendly and helpful. You can take your own drinks which is a plus.

Went in on a whim, but were impressed with the menu offering. So glad we did. The food was fantastic. Lots of flavour, good variety, and very reasonably priced too. Cant fault the staff either, very friendly and accommodating. At the time of writing this review, the restaurant allows you to bring in your own alcohol.

We come on holiday to Keswick every year but theres not a load of good places to get a simple but yummy meal. But this year I spotted this new place. If youd like a pile of juicy chicken with yummy sides this is the place for you! Run by a lovely group of people who cant do enough for their customers. We even ate there twice in one week! Dietary restrictions: If youre carb free, easy to eat just chicken and salad. It was pretty much all gluten, dairy, egg free. It hit lots of our familys needs! Wheelchair accessibility: One of us is a manual wheelchair user and he fitted well and door was roll-in. There are no accessible toilet facilities as far as I could see.

Was recommended to try this from a local friend. They are a halal restaurant which is very rare to find in Keswick. The staff were very attentive and helpful and the food was beautiful credits to the chef not to mention the incredible mocktails which are out of this world.

The owners have put together a really great experience unique to Keswick. The atmosphere was fantastic, with a wonderful aesthetic and service. Most importantly the food! My word, I can safely say Ive never had better chicken in all my life. The flavours were spectacular, and you can really tell how much time and effort has gone into perfecting these recipes. We all left thoroughly impressed and will definitely be coming back for more. A beautiful experience, from start to finish. A+++

We noticed this little gem was opening whilst visiting Keswick for a few days. Staff were very inviting and couldn t do more for you. Myself and my partner both got the chicken thighs with 2 sides each. Our sides included garlic bread, peri fries, broccoli and carrots all of which were very tasty! The thighs were so good and we both said preferred them over Nando s anyday! Portion sizes were very generous too. Overall would highly recommend!

Arrived at Piri Fresco last night just as they stopped serving food, yet the owners and staff welcomed us in. I opted for the medium boneless chicken thighs and they were just immaculate. The food 10/10 but it s definitely the people working there that make the place special. I ll definitely be back! P.s they welcome 4 legged friends

We had a lovely meal and great overall experience in Piri Fresco yesterday evening. The staff could not do enough for us and the food was top notch! Bringing your own alcohol is a bonus! First visit and what great food. We had king prawns to start that had the nicest flavour sauce. We had different piri piri chicken dishes. All really nice, but the best was the boneless chichen thighs in medium spice sauce. The service is great and so friendly. The restaurant is beautifully decorated.

Me and my partner visited on 15/6/24 and had a fantastic experience. To begin the atmosphere was very busy which tells you theyre very popular, especially on a road full of other food outlets! The staff are exceptionally polite, welcoming, and regularly passing through to check everything is ok. The food is very delicious, authentic, and surprisingly large sized portions! This was the first time I couldnt finish all my food. I would recommend any guests to eat as well as try the dark horse on the menu... the MOCKTAILS! Me and my partner are suckers for a good cocktail, and didnt have high hopes for the softer alternative however, this was by far the best mocktails weve ever had. I only review if a business has provided an exceptionally well or poor service, so take it from me, this restaurant is not to be slept on. We would 100% come back again when we next visit the lakes.
