26 Lake Rd, Keswick CA12 5DQ, United Kingdom
100% plant-based cafe bar serving illy coffee, cakes and dessert, savoury bakes and snacks, wines, beers and cocktails. A lovely private dining space can also be reserved and comfortably seats 8 - 16 guests, perfect for business meetings and social occasions. Small print - children are welcome however we do not have high chairs or children's menus. Dog friendly!
This is a VEGAN cafe. There is nothing on the door or anywhere outside to say it's vegan. They are happy to let you go in, take off your coats (it was a cold day) and get settled and it's only when you have order a coffee that you find out you can't have proper milk - you get a choice of oat or something else. Nothing ventured nothing gained - try that oat milk. Note to server - a flat white isn't froth ladled onto a black coffee and oat milk is nothing like dairy milk!
The food was absolutely incredible! The buffalo-coated cauliflower was out of this world, the jalapeño burger was packed with flavor, and the loaded chips were the perfect complement. Everything was perfectly cooked and bursting with taste. I’ll definitely be back! And finally great atmosphere !
So glad we decided to stop here! Food was the best I've had out in a long time, service friendly, and a lovely atmosphere. Wish I lived locally as I wanted to try everything on the menu!
As a Husband to a Low Fodmap, Dairy Free, Gluten Free, Coeliac (and then some) Wife, I’m always disappointed in the free from offerings when we go anywhere…… Not here! We were thrilled to find this cafe and when we went in for a coffee and a cake, we certainly were not disappointed. We both had Oat Milk coffees (not my scene, but I’ll try for my wife’s sake) and cakes. My wife had a chocolate brownie(GF,DF) and I had a vision of deliciousness that was a slab of delicious caramel and lotus loaf cake from heaven!!! (Sorry, not GF, but DF…EVERYTHING IS!!) Upon getting ready to leave, the staff checked how our visit had been and asked for feedback. I love it when people want to know how you found their business and how your experience has been, just gives it that little bit extra appeal. Definitely going to visit again soon, probably today.
We went for lunch and ordered the marsala 'meatballs' and mezze platter. Both were excellent and we would be happy to recommend either to anyone. The coffee and cakes were also excellent as was the Brooklyn lager. In contrast to a previous review, the toilets were sparkling clean and very well designed. Our welcome and service was superb and together with the high quality of the food made our visit one to remember with pleasure. Thank you.
After being vegan for 5+ years, this cafe has made the best lemon/blueberry muffin I’ve eaten! Very good cakes :) the carrot cake was also lovely
As a family of vegans and vegetarians we had high hopes for this cafe and the cakes looked delicious. My chai latte was completely tasteless and so were the cakes which was very disappointing. The cafe staff were nice and friendly though. Toilets were not in a good state either.
My wife and I are visiting Keswick and booked a table at Cafe Bar 26 mainly because we are vegan and love trying places that are plant based when we are on our travels. To say we were impressed this evening is an understatement ! The food menu has a tapas feel to it and what we had was fabulous. We made sure (for test purposes only you understand !) that we had plenty of the dishes on offer and ended up with 8 plates which included ‘meat’ balls, ‘Fish’ Goujons, Vietnamese Fries, Mock Duck Pancakes, Chick’n Nuggets, and others. They were absolutely faultless ! Tasty, plentiful and clearly lovingly prepared. We were chatting with the owner who is a lovely lady and deserves success at this brilliant place. It boats a comfortable setting inside and a great atmosphere. The staff were friendly and we will undoubtedly go back the next time we are in Keswick and suggest you don’t miss it when you are there either ! We are pretty taken with Cafe Bar 26. Can you tell ?!
Cosy cafe in the heart of Keswick, offering a wide range of food, I had tofu egg nanwich which was lush
Wonderful food and dog friendly as well - highly recommended.
Highly recommend, great food, great atmosphere
Delicious plant based food. We had the mezze bowl, fries with skins on and the sour dough garlic and pesto bread. My Food
Amazing place, food is the best the staff were so friendly, will definitely be visiting again Vegan or not its worth a visit
Fabulous vegan place, such tasty food and friendly staff. Support this amazing vegan business!!!!!
Fantastic coffee and food. Friendly and helpful service. Breakfast was yummy. Well be back again.
Lovely food and staff. All vegan too! 10/10
Absolutely terrible service workers weren t helpful and just had an awful experience. Staff were rude and food was abysmal.
Very friendly service and great coffee. Good snacks.
Nice food. Vegan cakes are great. Falafal sandwich was good too.
Lovely coffee and cake. Accommodating for our 18month old. Fully vegan, great choice.
Friendly staff, wheelchair accessible, & great vegan food options - a range of baguettes, small plates, cakes & meze platters. Highly recommend Dietary restrictions: Vegan cafe Wheelchair accessibility: Level access, & movable chairs
Very quiet as med afternoon. Lovely staff and coffee. The carrot cake was amazing.
Couldn t taste the oat milk or the coffee, watery coffee and s you can only paying bye card,no cash avoid
The food and drinks were good
Dropped in with family on Boxing Day. Pleased to see someone serving snacks and coffee. Food excellent and staff so helpful even though very busy!
Oat-milk only coffees. Was my first time getting one and it was lovely. Our little pooch was also welcome in! Reasonably priced. Great spot for on your way to or from the park.
A great vegan place with varied menu. We would visit again. Vegetarian options: A dedicated place even using oatmilk. Food : 5/5 |
Liked it in
We had Thai noodle salad, barley black bean chilli and some wedges. Incredible. The most delicious food and Im only sorry that they arent open again for food the rest of the time were here! We will be back, perhaps a couple of times, next time were in town. Never mind that its all plant based, this is just good food. Keep it up!
Five of us came for lunch, including three non-vegans. We all agreed it was the best lunch weve had on our whole trip! The prices are so reasonable, we couldnt believe it. Definitely recommend, whether youre plant-based or not.
Such a pleasant surprise to find this place. We got 4 dishes between 3 of us and every single one was amazing. Whether you re vegan or you ve never tried vegan food, this place is so worth visiting, as the food is incredible! Dietary restrictions: Incredible vegan food.
Dietary restrictions: Fully dairy free/plant based/vegan. Excellent carrot and chocolate fudge cakes. Good coffee :) Food : 5/5 |
So tasty food and very nice service.
Lovely Vegan food served on small plates, recommend getting 3/4 plates to share between 2 people, came back in consecutive days the vegan food was so good! Make sure to get a selection! Also the service is ridiculously fast! Highly recommend
Me & my husband went in for a hot drink never had oatmilk before it was delicious. Had a lovely lunch Turkish style flatbread with cheese, potatoes and spinach it was delicious. The staff were just so friendly and it was a lovely relaxing atmosphere.
Great vegan cafe bar in Keswick town centre.....excellent food and service especially the girl behind the bar warm friendly and efficient
Visited for lunch - had 3 small plates between 2 of us. Could have had another 3 because it was all so tasty. A top vegan spot in the Lakes, competitively priced with its neighbours in this tourist hotspot.
Great little spot that I visited with my partner and dog. The staff were really pleasant and the food was to die for! I d recommend getting the cheese and tomato relish toastie so simple yet so delicious! If you re after a nice lunch spot that is dog friendly, this is the place to go!
Eat in with our children really enjoyed the vegetarian/ vegan food. Dog friendly as well would certainly recommend. Vegetarian options: Vegan cafe / restaurant so all options vegetarian.
For me the best vegan in town, the food was absolutely delicious! The desserts were also great. They are dog friendly and the space is well decorated. Super!!
Can t really rate the food as we didn t get any. We went in and asked if they were open and were rudely told what for? We re not serving food. Which I was a little confused by as it was 1.30pm (so said open until 5pm on Google) and it is advertised as a cafe, so unsure what they do serve. It wouldn t be so bad but we travelled 40 minutes to find a plant based cafe, so was a wasted journey
We went in for coffee & cake and I thought it was a bit expensive, £31 for 4 hot drinks & 3 pieces of cake Staff were friendly, service was quick, cafe was clean but it was a bit chilly in there. Drinks are served with oatmilk as standard if you want cows milk you have to ask for it which I thought was a bit strange but not a major problem. Its not to my taste so dont think Id return, but may suit others so give it a try
It seemed to only sell cakes and was more of a wine bar/ cafe. A bit on the pricey side.
Staff where extremely polite and accommodating. We are Vegan, and the food was glorious and well priced. We had our 2 dogs with us, and the atmosphere in there was busy but pleasant. The owner even had a natter with us. Will definitely be going back, and can t wait to try more food off there menu! Vegetarian options: Full menu is Vegan Dietary restrictions: Vegan
Great bar. Staff friendly and welcoming.
Had a delicious coffee and cake followed by some nice hawkshead beers. Fantastic service and lovely owners! Will be visiting again.
Really nice chilled bar.
Really lovely staff, very friendly and helpful, good plant based menu. Give it a try you will be glad you did
A great 100% plant based café and bar in the heart of Keswick. A varied menu selection and some lovely coffee and too. We chose from the breakfast selection and all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and we got to warm ourselves by the cosy fire. As a party of 6 vegetarians and vegans it is so nice to find a gem of a place like this. Lovely decor too, a rarity in vegan establishments. We will definitely be returning during our stay in Keswick to sample their churros with peanut butter sauce!
Great place, nice atmosphere and a good selection of lovely Vegan food.
My hubby, myself and the kids popped in for a coffee/drinks - not realising everything was 100% plant based. I am Vegan, so I was extremely happy to of stumbled upon this gem - the coffee they serve (Illy) is one of my favourite brands too. Upon realising Cafe Bar 26 was vegan, I started thinking about food (as you do ). Unfortunately nothing they could offer was gluten free (hence 4 stars). Nevertheless, the staff were lovely and the venue itself looked very cozy and welcoming. I would definitely return if gluten free options were available or I fancied another tasty coffee.
Always call in when in Keswick only for drinks today but it s nice to see they ve started to do food again! Gluten free Peroni buy one get one half price!! 20 years since I ve had lager so after my walk from the Mary Mount hotel thought I d treat myself, to quench my thirst of course!! Great bar, friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere and music I would definitely recommend a visit They are dog friendly too
I had a lovely plant based burger with Mac n cheese, best I have had lately, my wife had them mock chicken burger, equally lovely, I know because I helped her finish it. Fancy fries shared, plenty for 2. We shared the Biscoffi cheese cake, all very tasty, its a shame meat eaters fear trying plant based, they would discover how good it is. Well done Cafe Bar 26 PS Dog Friendly as well
You d struggle to tell the burgers are vegan! Excellent
great vegan food.
Fantastic menu, quick and helpful service. Great vegan cage
Excellent vegan food. Tastiest desserts ever.
Second visit. We have currently now between me and my partner tried 4 dishes off the plate menu. None have disappointed and to be fair probably the best vegan cafe we have visited (and we have been in quite a few) Definitely will be coming back again. Staff friendly and attentive. Young lad working there on Saturday was particularly helpful Well done chef
So delicious, great atmosphere, everything was very clean and staff were delightful. 100% recommend. You should try the chicken waffles!
Amazing place to come for brunch, it was very quiet when we came, dog friendly too so we came with our dog. Nice and clean, lovely food and coffee! Would definitely come back :) lovely staff, the brunch waffles are great!
We always make an effort to grab a drink be it a coffee or something stronger its a great little place with a good atmosphere good people try it you wont be disappointed.
Mez my partner and my little boy came here whilst I. Holiday in Keswick. We were greeted by a very friendly young man who, looked free us very well and was very efficient. The food was tasty, there was lots of choice. I had waffles which were lovely. Upon paying we were served by a young lady who alsi.was very friendly. Would definitely recommend
Probably the best vegan food we ve ever had. We re not vegan but would eat way more plant based if all the food was like this. Nice atmosphere too, sitting in the window and people watching. Highly recommend.
Where do I start with this place? Prices: The pricing here is extortionate. As a vegan from Manchester I am used to paying a premium on vegan food. Unfortunately that is just the reality of being a vegan in 2022. But the food from Cafe Bar 26? Insanity. We were charged £3 for 2 slices of toast. I dont believe in any cafe in the world you should be charged £3 for 2 slices of toast. Mental. The breakfast sandwiches cost £6 and that was 1 muffin with 1 Linda McCartney sausage and 2 slices of This! Isnt Bacon. Not sure what dream world the owners are living in to charge this much. Food quality: The food quality overall was incredibly poor. The coffee was burnt and tasted disgusting. The breakfast sandwich was burnt and tasted really bad. The hash browns were nice, but they were just heated from frozen, so cant really complain, but they were also nothing special. The waffle was delicious, but at £9.50 for 1 it was daylight robbery. Service: The guy who waited on our table gets a 0/10 for service. He basically threw 1 menu at us despite there being 2 of us, he struggled to comprehend our order despite writing it down, mumbled the whole time so we could barely make out what he was saying and just overall lacked any sort of hospitality training. Overall it was a very disappointing experience that cost £36.60 for: 2 sandwiches, 1 waffle, 2 hashbrowns, 1 coffee and 1 lemonade. Would fully not recommend going to these guys. Save your money and go to one of the other vegan establishments that Keswick has to offer. 0/10 and only gave 1 star as that is the lowest I can give to write a review. AVOID.
First vegan cafe experience, and was pleasantly surprised. The fudge cake there is very nice and the oatmeal coffees we had were lovely. The pricing was reasonable as 2 drinks and a cake came to £8. The interior is lovely and the vibe of the place was nice, waitress was also very friendly.
Great place for a coffe and a cake or a more substantial brunch or lunch. Def6recomwnd the buffalo Cauliflower Wings and Chorizo Loaded Fries. Lovely interior, friendly staff and good food and drink...whats not to love!?
How fab is this cafe! We had a fabulous vegan brunch, we arent vegan but man oh man! It was superb! Well worth popping in and experiencing this little gem. We will be back. Owner was super friendly and helpful, advice on sausages given! Chef top notch, waitress lovely.
Vegetarian restaurant with a calm atmosphere. Free WIFI. I had a revisited hot dog in its vegetarian version accompanied by fries and I found the whole thing rich in taste. With perhaps a slightly disappointing quality of bread. A delicious choice of dessert is also available.
Best food ever!
Lovely concept and good quality was absolutely stunning. Took notes and exchanged recipe ideas with the lady owner. A very lovely place and excellent food regardless of your dietary choices.
So good we went twice in one day. One of the best vegan cafes weve been to and weve tried nearly everything back in London. Excellent waffles with the best vegan chicken weve had, varied menu all done competently and an overwhelming amount of attention devoted to getting it all right from the owner. Decor, music, service, all done right. Vegetarian options: All vegan
Great food. Huge waffles. Friendly staff. Only 4 stars ladies toilets need attention ( toilet needs screwing to floor and taps also wobbly)a bit of updating
Really nice place for amazing food with some great vegan options. We had a chicken burger and a pastrami sandwich both of which Id recommend, the chicken was especially great. The staff were also really nice and even gave us some tips on where to go for an evening meal!
Great friendly staff and lovely food - very well prepared and presented. Relaxed atmosphere.
Okay if you are a vegetarian.
Amazing breakfast. Good vegan food is very hard to find and it shouldnt be. This place is awesome. Pricing is on par with all vegan places weve eaten. Not really sure what the negative reviews are about, couldnt fault it.
Didnt have a high chair so we had to leave. Not child-friendly.
Not serving food at the moment as waiting to get a new chef. Shared a slice of Chocolate & Caramel Torte & Chocolate Cake. Both amazing!!!
Great, chilled out place for an afternoon beer following a long walk.
Really exceptional. Ive not had a cocktail over a year owing to the lockdowns and I was pleasantly surprised to find a 100% plant based cafe serving cocktails. As a vegan this was amazing - thank you.
Plant based and delicious.
A lovely bar got some great memories
Great food and nice atmosphere!
This is one of my BEST COFFEE SHOPS IN MY LIST OF FAVOURITES CAFES 10 OUT OF 10 WILL SEE YOU IN OCTOBER
Staff are lovely look after you cocktail are very good 2 for 12 pounds there is some seat outside its clean and if you are lucky to get one of 3 windows you can watch people walking by
Great little bar..friendly & wonderful atmosphere
Completely vegan menu. Delicious cake and drinks. Friendly service. We could not enjoy the full menu as there was no chef. Would go back when they have a chef
First visit here, only had a coffee. It looks like a very popular place, service was ok.
Relaxed chilled atmosphere with a friendly atmosphere.
Great place for a relaxing drink any time of the day
Lovely almond milk latte and salted caramel and chocolate slice
Good food
Disappointing really as its a nice place but should say that its a vegan bar . I like a cup of tea or coffee with cows milk and not almond, coconut or other none dairy milks .
Bit overpriced
Excellent plant based food, will return
THE FOOD IS GORGEOUS AND THE VENUE DIVINE. Bobbed in with the wife, asked about closing time as we were not hungry and wanted to build an appetite. We returned a couple of hours later famished. The food filled us up. Very tasty and plentiful. Nicely priced. The ambience is divine and I lived the lounge Bossonova music that was playing. Gave the venue that little touch of suave and class. Definitely come again.
It was OK but no draught beer and too many dogs, probably won,t bother again.
Simple room with ensuite. Terrible water pressure in shower. Great location in heart of Keswick.
Great plant based menu, delicious and the staff were so helpful and accommodating
Wonderful vegan restaurant with a great tapas menu. The decor and atmosphere was amazing. The food was incredible.
Delicious cocktails, kind staff, warm atmosphere, and lots of vegan options to choose from. Would recommend anyone to go for evening drinks and tapas. Unfortunately, the cafe was shut during the days that I was in Keswick so I was unable to try breakfast or lunch, but if the standards in the evening is anything to go by I would say the cafe is a must!
Really enjoyed the Mulled Wine and the service was fine, however, when we asked about baby changing facilities, there were none readily available. Found out as we were leaving that if we would have asked the owner, they would have allowed us to use one of the guest bedrooms. Frustrating that we didnt know this when we asked a member of staff
Lots of small dishes to pick at, plus local beer
Excellent cocktails and nice atmosphere.
Good coffee, service was a little lacking: staff just put food and drinks down in front of the wrong people despite asking who they were for.
Nice place for a cuppa and bite to eat. Service and drinks were great.
Nice place
We are staying at The Cafè Bar for a few nights. Rooms are very clean, bright & comfortable. The staff are very friendly & helpful.
Great wine / cocktail / tapas bar, great selection of small dishes to have with a nice glass of wine.
Fine...
Fizzy pop drinks are small.
Okay bar with a slightly backwards hotel reception interior
Previous
Great. Smashing place for a glass of wine early evening. Not tried the food.
Not cooking at the moment but usually great food and a good atmosphere.
Nice mocktails and not pricy
They made us a nice cup of coffee. It was very quiet when we were there.
Really nice place, pleasant atmosphere in the evening and the staff were very polite and helpful. Definitely will go back.
Whilst roaming around Keswick looking for a place to settle me and my partner found Cafe Bar 26. At first it appeared to be just a cafe, but the place actually has guest rooms making it a great and centralised place to stay overnight. The entrance is clearly wheelchair accessible but I m not 100% sure the rooms are. As we went for a coffee I ll be reviewing it as a café. Bar 26 had a calm atmosphere to it which was achieved by the soft background music and friendly staff. The woman that served us was happy to chat about their varied cocktail range whilst I was ordering before we sat down by the window. We ordered coffees and later some fries. The coffee was lovely and the fries tasted great I would add they may have too much salt for some people but we loved them with what we thought was chipotle or burger sauce. The place appears to be open 9:30-11pm all week apart from Mondays so next time you find yourself in need of a coffee give them a try.
Lovely to go into but not a lot of choice for eating
Stayed here for the week, quality accommodation and trendy bar with friendly staff.
Very welcoming
It is great place with wonderful atmosphere, friendly customer service, good beer and large selection of wines, the foods are tasty, unique and special to the chef... The guacamole could drastically benefit from being prepared with no onions and instead could have some garlic to make it a bit authentic...
A friendly cafe bar right in the heart of Keswick Great to suit in the window and relax with a coffee or beer. Lost some of the chilled out atmosphere of a few years ago, when there were sofas in the window, but still a lovely place to relax.
Great bar & rooms
great food and nice service
Very cosy although bar area seems disorganised and strangely unwelcoming
Nice atmosphere and great coffee
Great place to rest and dine clean & friendly and nice staff
Love this place great coffee 3 kinds of sangria nice friendly staff and well stocked bar!
Modern bistro, pricey but popular.
Regularly visit for tasty veggie lunch
Tasty food, good service.
Very good
Strange concept for Tapas usually all dishes come together and everyone tucks in, we waited 40 minutes for the first dish which was at best warm then the other dishes cane in dribs and drabs, the owner explained this was there concept and tried to suggest where we could go in future. The final insult she suggested we get a bottle of wine from a shop and go back to our room!
Obviously not our sort of place but a 45 minute wait for our tapas to arrive a couple of dishes at a time is unacceptable. We werent warned beforehand but apparently its mentioned on the menu. Made to feel very old by the lady who came to talk to us. Very dark and hot inside. Quite upset by the experience and the food is average.
Café Bar 26 serves a great selection of Spanish inspired tapas dishes and such like and has an impressive assortment of wines, cocktails and beers available. The location is fantastic and is within 5 minutes walk of Derwent Water.
Nice feel to the place, but service for food was unbelievably slow. Our group of 12 were the only customers apart from 2 drinkers, but our food took 20 minutes to start arriving. Then it came in trickles, and my tomato & mozzarella salad (on a saucer-sized dish) took 40 minutes. The 4 inch dish of olives took an hour to arrive. Baring in mind this is a tapas bar, with a fairly limited menu, the dishes are all small and simple, so we were baffled why they took so long.
One of nicest cafes/bars in Keswick, good Tapas, friendly efficient staff, reasonably priced, clean, allows dogs and good location for park and lake.
Lovely staff and location
Very good for tapas and main meals,or just a,drink including gin club happy hour
Had a drink here on a Friday evening. The company was great it s a shame I couldn t say the same for the bar itself. The place itself is very modern and nicely done inside. It s a shame the bar staff were useless. We ordered a coke and a shandy. 4 times we had to say coke for her to eventually understand. Then when she poured the beer (shandy) she completely forgot to put any lemonade in. It s a good job we noticed. During our stay a huge blackboard that was propped up against the wall toppled down hitting several people and knocking a hot coffee pot over too. Not sure I d rush back.
Slightly upmarket cocktail bar with upmarket prices but the Sangrias were very good.
Service & staff always gr8. Tonight however was exceptional as we found out our waitress is from Burnley. It was an added bonus.
Tiny room, no food available for a 3 day stay, no milk in room, stayed here previously and was good,now......well .... wont be going back.....and spent £200 on wine and food elsewhere. Checked out at 9:am....only the cleaner to hand the keys to...no other staff there...says it all really.
Nice hotel in good location. Rooms were clean and comfortable and the management was extremely friendly. Would recommend and return
Cosy, pleasant staff. Modern.
Very cleen room ,nice bar downstairs. Stayed three nights , no breakfast , girls where very friendly x helpful
Interesting & tasty Spanish based cuisine
Very disappointing. The greeting was neither warm or welcoming, on arrival we asked about disabled parking close by and was told in a very brusque manner that she would rather we didnt park on the double yellows near to the property and that we should have had an email, we didnt. Irrespective of that I am legally allowed to park there but not wanting to ruffle feathers moved the car anyway. We had to pay before we were shown to our room (odd practice) and then the disappointment continued. The room had vinyl tiles on the floor, which ok is practical for dogs and walkers but surely at £90 a night they could stretch to a rug to stand on. There was no mirror in the room, we borrowed one from the corridor next to piles of dirty laundry. We had no milk and no coffee in the room and no way of getting replenishments as the bar was closed and no staff at all on the premises. The mirrors in the shower room steamed up to reveal expletives written in the foggy glass, it had not been cleaned in a month of Sundays. Piles of rubbish greeted you at the back door, the only entrance when the bar is shut. The room was soulless with no artwork. As wed already paid and there were no staff to be seen there is no way of airing your grievance or seeking recompense. The one star is for the bed which was comfortable but the pillows were awful. Overall, what was supposed to be a much deserved treat for myself and my husband was in fact a very disappointing and miserable stay. I cannot find an email address to express my concerns personally or I would have done but hopefully this review will spare some other unwitting travellers from wasting their money. I would also like to add that breakfast is NOT included. It is advertised as providing breakfast it does not. £90.00 is for ROOM ONLY...this was not made clear at the time of booking. They need to remove all reviews and advertising that praise the wonderful breakfast as it is misleading.
Best soup in Keswick
Great service and great coffee
Nice bar good selection of drinks
Love the window seats for people watching!
Very kind stuff.
Lovely place great atmosphere. Stayed there which was great as well
Well, we normally pop on every time were in the lakes for an afternoon drink but this time tried the new small plates of food they are offering. We ordered four different dishes and were delighted with them all. The squid was not the usual rings of rubber but beautifully prepared individual pieces of squid with a delightful dressing on the accompanying salad. The Mexican chips came with freshly made tomato salsa and the garlic mushrooms were not batter coated bar food but finely sliced in a lovely sauce. It didnt come all at once, out of the microwave, but in stages as and when ready. A delight to the taste buds rather than same old! Thank you for a lovely experience.
Loved our weekend stay
Our number one place to go as soon as we arrive in keswick
Great place for Tapas. Friendly staff and good atmosphere.
Lovely atmosphere. Great place to chill after a days walking.
Excellent
We looked all over for a cosy cocktail bar for pre-dinner drinks in Keswick as most of the watering holes are just pubs, so we were glad to find this place. It had a nice welcoming atmosphere, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the drinks were well priced. We ended up having several rounds; they did a really tasty spin on an Aperol spritz using grapefruit, which I really enjoyed, but the Hulu rum one served in a pineapple shaped glass was our favourite!
Great place, food is great and drinks menu is brill. Open mic night is great fun and the gin specials always go down well.
Great bar in the heart of Keswick - a bit different from the usual olde world pubs with great wines, cocktails and a chilled out atmosphere. They do a gorgeous cocktail called Stormy Morning made with prosecco and violet liqueur- a must if you like prosecco! They do lovely Tapas too. Cool bar, cool vibe.
Great food and staff would recommend all.
Great place. Great staff.
One of the most unorganised places I have ever visited in the lakes staff very unfriendly and left customers waiting at the bar would not recommend
Great place to chill out
Its a favourite. If you are in Keswick this is one of the places you have to visit to have a drink or two.
Helpful staff . Gabby.room warm . good shower .and perfect coffee.people post bad reviews.but all good with our stay
