Atmosphere is fun, food is great!

Cannot comment on the food, because I havent eaten there. However, it smells good, and the others love their food.

Very fun and loud! It was a very touching evening, everyone did everything from the heart, the artists and singers performed, and the audience supported them and sang and danced with them.

Service is the a absolute worst in Kingston. Waiting for 1 drink takes about 20 minutes...food even longer. They have no smile or anything empathy. Just the absolute worst Service

Where do I even start, the staff know how to make you feel welcome as soon as I walked in I was immediately very impressed, the burger was perfect the server was a sweet heart as well as the bartender, Im gonna have to come by again for the music, smitty so proud of ya buddy

Went to Kingston for a show at the Grand Theatre and had a bite to eat at The Buckle before hand! Great food, great service and I love the atmosphere! Will definitely be my go to place in Kingston! Great Job Jay and staff!

WOW!!! what An amazing experience at this restaurant. Our server CHARLIE was incredible!!! Went above and beyond for us. She was so kind and lively. It made our experience so much better than we could when imagined. The live music was such a hit! Will definitely be back!!!

Ok, but limited food selection. I assume most go there for the music and drinking. So probably better for that than food.

Had a good time with friends on a Thursday night downtown, good atmosphere, good food, good music. Reasonable prices on all menu items, super nice decor, Jay and Lauren have a nice place that everyone should visit.

So impressed with the place. For starters... its huge in here. 2 floors with 2 bars. Staff are so nice, and the place is clean. Loads of room. The party I am with thoroughly enjoyed their food. The menu is huge. Absolutely recommend coming. Great live music tonight. Also.... the womens bathroom is amazing.

Smitty has been entertaining my wife and I for years with his shows around town. This was our first chance to visit his Bar/Restaurant and we were blown away. First, the décor and atmosphere is nothing like anything else in Kingston. It felt like I was in a bar in Nashville, or maybe a small town bar up north. There was some nice live music and happy patrons cutting a rug near the bar. We ordered some food; dusted chicken strips, waffle fries and battered brussels sprouts. Everything was delicious. Like, much better than you would expect from pub food. Prices were fair, which is hard to find these days. Cant say enough good things. Thank you Smitty and everyone else involved at THE BUCKLE! Ill be back for more live music soon.

One of the best newer places in Kingston! Family owned and operated | Live Music | karaoke | line dancing lessons AND Best of all their food!!!! Get the pulled pork sandwich you will be coming back just for that. The owners are lovely and so are all their staff! Came here for my friends birthday as we were doing 21 bar hop - it was so good we never ended up leaving ! Highly recommended this place 12/10

Favourite establishment in this city and heres why: I could say a lot about every aspect of this place, and none of it negative. The option to see a different, very talented live band almost every day of the week is one of many reasons to come here frequently. One year in and the place has already been packed to capacity with shows from guests like Ambush and contestants from American Idol. The numerous activities offered by the bar such as line dancing, paint nights, the best (and often busiest) karaoke in town, darts, the reasons to visit just get bigger and bigger. All of this before Ive even mentioned the food. The burgers with local beef are homemade, as is the pulled pork which is delicious, there is a legitimate pizza oven used for the many Flatbreads that are all made entirely from scratch, the place in my opinion has the best fried pickles, chicken fingers, and fries (which there is a ton if competition for) in town. Hell, its worth it enough to come just for thr buckle sauce if you like a savory, smoky dip. There are multiple food specials during the week with items not featured on the menu like chili and meatloaf. Perhaps the best reason to visit however, in our experience, has been the people behind the place. The owners Jay and Lauren have been nothing but the sweetest, kindest, most helpful people weve ever met in our lives. They treat us like family and every member of staff has been incredibly welcoming and friendly every time we go there. From the very first visit, they all made us feel like regulars but there is nothing regular about this place. Its special in many very different ways

Always love having a night out here with friends and family. Jay and Lauren have created the most talked about establishment in the downtown core Ive been to . There is always something fun happening here, be it line dancing or other fun things. There is definitely no shortage of LIVE entertainment. Thats right! There is LIVE entertainment every single night- including Jay himself! Ive been here numerous times since they opened last year, and it is so humbling that whenever we walk in, I feel welcomed and can sit back and relax. Another thing that I cant get enough of here is the Buckle Sauce! Oh my goodness! You HAVE to try it with the waffle fries. I cant rave enough for this ! Parking: There is a parking garage behind the Buckle/ Grand depending upon what time you are going to The Buckle; *USUALLY* there is free parking from 5/5:30pm onwards. Also Ive heard theres free parking on weekends

Good food, great service and amazing entertainment. We always bring our kids for dinner. Food portions are generous, buckle sauce with chicken fingers, waffles fries it s a win. Parking: Depending of days and hours of operation parking might be free. Raised garage paid parking is right behind the building, approximately 5 minutes walk. Also parking on princess street might be available. Two disable parking are available right in front of the Buckle. Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly until 7:00 Pm, our kids loves to listen live music, learn dancing and dance with friends. Once we organized a special event for +20 kids and parents, service was impeccable.

The Buckle gives off all the good vibes! It has wicked food and the live entertainment is always awesome! The whole stage and sound set up is very enjoyable. The detail around the whole bar itself as well are a really unique touch its nice to read and look at all the different things they have up on their walks and shelfs, Extremely kind staff and owners. I always recommend this place to any friends or family visiting.

We didn t try the food but service was great, very friendly and quick for drinks. Entertainment was great, good singers and musicians keeping the atmosphere going all day whenever we visited. Would definitely recommend.

Great place to enjoy some live country music!

I ve given this establishment a few times to get it right but it just hasn t happened. From the odd hours (lights will turn on and they will announce they re closing at 11:30). Even when a country artist had been at the Leon s Centre performing which draws people to The Buckle, they had closed early. Aside from the odd hours, some tables are able to order items from the menu and others aren t. The basement/bathrooms are subpar. Beyond the copious amounts of air fresheners, it smells extremely damp and possibly mouldy? The surfaces are constantly coated with vegetable oil for weird reasons which I won t mention. All it does is ruin your clothing if you rub against the surfaces in the bathroom stalls. Lastly None of the women s stalls had toilet paper so maybe other things such as this could be on the top of the priority list as this establishment could be really amazing.

About time the area got a great chill country bar and grill. Thankfully no line dancing or phoney western bs instead great live music and service. The type of place and people you absolutely want to see succeed.

This is a new restaurant in Kingston and it is a must visit. Live music everyday and the food is fantastic. Vegetarian options: I had the vegetarian flatbread and it was delicious! Would definitely order it again. Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. Owners and staff are engaging with kids.

Great find on a recent visit to Kingston! Wondered in for a quick drink on a Sunday night and stuck around because the service and the live music were both awesome! We settled up 3 times and every time ordered another drink and stayed longer because the performer (who turns out was the bar owner) was so great!

Just what Kingston needed! The owners are awesome and put a lot of heart and soul into The Buckle. The staff is great, the atmosphere is fun and the food is even better! Highly recommend!

I stopped into The Buckle on a Wednesday afternoon to try something from their menu. I ordered a burger with fries, and the food was absolutely delicious...like homemade, but better! If that wasnt enough to make me happy, there was also live entertainment, an excellent duo. I will be going back very soon...5 stars on all counts!

Smitty and the team there are absolute gems! Had the pleasure to dry run the basement with a group of over 60 people, which they handled like pros. Fantastic service, food, and music. The overall atmosphere is incomparable to any other location in Kingston. The dedication and care from the staff is evident and will continue to make the Buckle a Kingston staple.

I recently planned an event at this location and expectations were surpassed. Jay was extremely attentive and made sure the group was well taken care of. The owner was incredible! My husband and I showed up for a drink after we got married and the owner was playing a live set and asked to play our wedding song. He made us feel so special! If your ever considering going to this place I 100% recommend it!

We recently hosted a 50 person event at The Buckle, in their basement area and it went fantastic! The owners were very nice and helpful, they even went out of their way to bring their at home presentation technology so we could present a few items to our guests. We ordered many different items from their menu and they all were so delicious (especially their chicken fingers and fries)!! The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend checking them out, they even have great live music upstairs! We will definitely be returning!

Great place, live music every day, friendly staff ,beautiful downtown Kingston

Definitely recommend for events of 30+ patrons. I booked the basement for a homecoming event for a loved one. The owners (Jay & Lauren) were easy to work with, and after some technical difficulties, were very accommodating with short notice planning. Our bartender Senae was cheerful, enthusiastic, and up to the task of the busy and intensive nature of my friend group. It was a great time, and I would do it again. Thanks to you, you Buckle beauties!

I was at a private event in The Buckle Down for a staff Christmas party. The owners and all of their staff were amazing to work with. Everything was great from the food to the karaoke option they gave our group. Great spot for group gatherings , I would highly recommend!
